1. What is each member’s love language?

Ariel: Physical touch; she isn’t the best at opening up and being vulnerable. So sometimes, just a simple embrace and kiss is everything to her. It makes her feel safe. Edward: Words of affirmation, as much as he savors the physical affection, just hearing he’s loved, appreciated, and to hear his worth(in her eyes), that’s everything to him.

2. What would they describe as their perfect date?

Probably diner hopping. Just going to all their favorite spots and getting their favorite foods. (But Ariel might wish they could wear their best clothes and hit the fanciest restaurants in town.)

3. Who made the first move?

Ariel… Edward was too shy, he might’ve instigated, but Ariel is the one that kissed him first. And she doesn’t hesitate now always to take that extra step.

4. Who is more sentimental?

It’s pretty balanced. Since they’ve known each other since childhood and been together since after college, they both find themselves thinking about the old days and how they’ve been through everything together.

5. Which member calls the other in to kill the spiders?

Ariel calls Edward. She doesn’t mess with vermin, that is all Edward, and she loves him for it.

6. Who falls asleep first?

That is usually Ariel. She is someone who likes sleeping and naps, but she will pass out first if she’s tired enough.

7. Who wakes up first?

Edward is the early bird. He doesn’t sleep soundly too often, usually finds himself up early, and immediately keeps himself busy.

8. Who is more relaxed/carefree?

Both can be a bit tense, but Ariel is more upbeat when they are together. She just feels better and more settled around him.

9. What’s one way their personalities complement one another? (Is it opposites attract, or are they pretty similar?)

They're a bit opposite but still balance each other out. Ariel is more stern and hot-tempered, while Edward comes off as reserved and quiet. She won’t let anyone/anything bother him, and he’s good at keeping her calm. (Now, if in his Riddler persona, it's almost reversed. She feels overpowered since he's bolder and assertive in a sense).

10. Who is always cold?

Ariel, but she keeps the apartment cold oddly. Always has some kind of hoodie and sweater on. (This might also be an excuse to take Edward’s coats and sweaters.)

advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love
