For a fandom that claims to be "open" to queers, the only accepted (as in there is little to no arguments/disagreements) queer character interpretations and representations that I have seen are gay men (gay man x gay man ships by extension) and male-presenting nonbinary. Any other queer interpretation or representation that you dare to talk about will have you subjected to harassment at worst and annoying people who think that no one else can have headcanons other than themselves at best.

That one time I got called a racial slur targeted at asian people because I shipped Earth x Nebula after that one episode in Laes, along with getting accused of shipping it just to hurt Davis (tf?) and was called a "man-hating lesbian". My bisexual ass got so confused with that one. I literally have the bisexual flag on my pfp.

Do I even want to share what happened when I drew a silly little doodle of Eclipse x one of my OCs (who is a female animatronic because I'm female too) holding the aroace flag together? Because goddamn that was so much worse. Me and my female aroace OC getting called whores, sluts, and other gender-based insults/name-calling targeted at women was one hell of an experience, along with the usual aphobia

Like as someone who is aspec of some variety do you fucking hear yourself?? The only way to naturally bring up her orientation would be someone coming up and flirting with her and her having to awkwardly rebuff them, but then you fucking whiners would claim it's possible she's attracted to people who aren't the gender she's shown rejecting. Like be fucking serious here, the BI is a place where diverse orientations are so natural that having a blatant coming out scene, especially for a woman in her mid-late forties, would be extremely awkward and clunky.

I want a character to say "I'm Asexual/AroAce" on screen one day too but narratively it has no fucking bearing on the plot and there's no way to make it fucking organic in a way that wouldn't be obnoxious or not make sense with the character or setting. She shows no attraction. Like I get maybe "Hunter should have shown some attraction to a boy" even though m-spec people don't fucking owe you proof they've had documented feelings for people of certain genders. But this same exact "proof" you require of Willow and Hunter and Eda IS ALREADY GIVEN WITH LILITH. SHE NEVER SHOWS ATTRACTION TO ANYONE!!!!!

The fact that there's a higher burden of proof for her orientation to be anything but a "headcanon" of THE CREATOR for you all to shit on is APHOBIC.

I personally like the way the orientations of ALL of these characters are handled, because it's organic and feels more realistic (even if I think it's silly that ALL the main ships in the series are people who met in high school, but whatever it's a goddamn cartoon). Fuck you Gus is aroace too now since he also never shows attraction to anyone.
