I'm a little curious what is the history and origin of your oc?

Ooh, so much to say! It took me a while to figure out how to word this because how much is too much?

Thank you so much for asking, though! Such a sweet surprise! I think I've stalled enough so here goes nothing!

Fontaine Ishiuchi, or Fonty, is the younger twin daughter of a Vibora diplomat and a runaway. In a world where men reign and shape past, present, and future, she and her sister enjoyed a life of relative freedom in their early years, but as they came of age, they would join the unfortunate other girls of her kind in their training under a law known as the Blossom Order.

Like kings preparing their successor to rule and carry on in their stead, the Blossom Order is an age-old system that prioritizes the eldest daughter, or heir apparent, in noble homes of which there is no son to claim the father's title and assets. She would be known as the greater blossom, while the second daughter would be dubbed the lesser blossom. Both daughters would be highly educated in the father's work, accompanying him on matters he deemed suitable and introduced to his contacts, but this was only the tip of the iceberg.

Any mistake made by the greater, depending on how damaging or shameful, publicly or privately, would be repaid at the expense of the lesser, and ordained by the mother, whose duty it was to truly teach her daughters their place in society. The lesser would be the equivalent of the whipping boy. In doing so, this system would instill a sense of fear, guilt, and learned futility in the greater, while the lesser's individual will and sense of identity is lost, tying herself solely to securing her sister's future. Furthermore, it is a lesser's duty to act as a go-between seeking a proper match for the greater. In doing this, she is, at last, relieved of her shackles, but, if her target proposes and the greater refuses, she is offered up in her sister's place so as not to lose a valuable connection.

Why, truly, was this law in effect, though? To conceal a truth that has been effectively and consistently ripped from the history of Vibora culture. Women are the more powerful sex. Before they would come into the knowledge and control of any ability lying dormant, before they could become a threat, acting of their own volition, their potential is crushed as they are bound, playing their parts as actors well-versed in their scripts upon the vast, cruel board that is man's game.

Random question: opinion on wedding dress figure versions?

And I do mean wedding DRESS versions. Not the wedding bikinis that so many companies make >.<

thank you for your question! :) personally i think wedding figures are often characters that are very popular amongst male characters and it kinda plays into the whole waifu thing. often these are either romance shows or fanservicey/ecchi shows, which are not the genres i watch so very few characters i like have wedding figures. ofcourse anyone can like wedding figures and there's usually nothing wrong with them, this is just my personal observation!

the only characters from shows i've seen that have a wedding figure are kanade from angel beats, junko & ai from zombie land saga and ofcourse miku. i don't love any of these figures so i don't think i'd personally own a wedding figure!

i actually don't really love any wedding figure (yes i just checked the whole wedding tag on mfc) but some i like based purely on aesthetics are muramasa and natalia (white is so beautiful on dark/tan skin), enterprise, azusa (this one is simple but i love the 2000s look of it), ranko, nekopara girls (I SAID based purely on aesthetics. if you ignore any controversy and pretend these are just random catgirl girlfriends they are very cute.) and sakura.

hello! :D thank you for the ask <3

honestly I think it’s a mix of needing a place to vent his feelings for hannibal and some misplaced righteousness. rewatching the buildup to this scene is really interesting actually, since it follows the randall tier arc, with will committing his first genuine murder/art installation and enjoying it, plus hannibal bandaging his hands. and before this we see their relationship development in su-zakana and shiizakana where 1) we see that will’s vindictive nature is a real part of his personality, and yet hannibal was able to convince him to lower the gun (which he later confesses is something he let hannibal do) and 2) we see evidence of will’s attachment to hannibal despite who/what he is when he dreams about killing him, with hannibal (indirectly) telling will that he loves him, implying that this is what will wants to hear (“no one can be fully aware of another human being unless we love them”). there’s more to this particular scene that’s worth ranting about but I will write an essay if I’m enabled and it’s not what you asked so we’re gonna move on 😂

^^ so anyway, we have will in the midst of his honeytrap arc, where he’s trying to lure the “monster” he perceives hannibal to be, the one who doesn’t care about him. but slowly he’s getting evidence against this black and white perception of hannibal, and he himself is seeing new facets of his personality (or rather pre-existing facets) that now have reason to flower. that and he’s suddenly in a position of power, which is what he craves. I think this all compounds and becomes blurred/confused for will (almost like a type of sexual frustration) and suddenly margot shows up and allows him to express it through physical intimacy

but I also think the fact that margot is abused by mason and comes to will scarred has a lot to do with it, which charges will’s feelings of righteousness (that are also linked to his empowerment). margot is also a mirror for will, or at least his s2 persona, since both are disempowered, vindictive people wishing for revenge. they’re also both people who struggle with rage due to feelings of love, as hannibal tells margot in one of their sessions (“you failed to murder him because you love him”). so suddenly him and margot are able to have this strange moment of solidarity and are able to help/use each other for their own personal gain, which contrasts hannibal’s continued manipulation of alana

honestly, it'd be a little redundant, since I think I'll end up getting pretty much everything that would be covered in something like that here on this blog just with the existence of the #w/ blake tag lol. I think the closest I would get to that is with how I mentioned before that I'm considering doing a more general RWBY screenshots blog after this, which would be pics of everyone.

cold hands + shumika

i somehow managed to write this in like an hour and a half while at work...the way the perfect scenario got beamed into my brain as soon as i saw this ask! it took me a bit to get used to shu's voice again but i think i did alright :3

Mika had insisted on accompanying Shu on his shopping trip. Shu had vehemently protested at first — it was a short trip, after all, and certainly didn't require two people. Mika's time would be far better spent practicing, working, simply staying focused on his art. But Shu was only back in Japan for the week, and Mika had made it clear he wanted to spend as much time together as possible.

It was an endearing sentiment, Shu supposed, even if it was a bit inefficient. At the very least, it was nice having someone else to help carry the bags.

He passed one to Mika absentmindedly, already occupied by determining if there were any other stores worth stopping by or if they should return to the dorm. He was startled out of his reverie by Mika letting out a sharp yelp.

"Kagehira! What on earth has gotten into you?"

"Yer hands are real cold, Oshi-san!"

Shu closed his eyes and sighed. As he'd expected, it was hardly anything worth yelling about. "I'm not certain why this is such a surprise to you. It's to be expected, given today's temperature."

"But if yer too cold ya might get sick! Or yer fingers might get frostbite and then ya won't be able to sew!"

It wasn't nearly cold enough for that to be a concern. It was only autumn, after all, not the dead of winter. Shu was prepared to say as much, but Mika had already taken matters into his own hands — quite literally, as he pulled Shu's hands up in front of him before pinning them between his own. "There! I'll help ya warm up."

Mika looked up at him with such unrestrained happiness that Shu found himself suddenly unable to explain the frivolity of the gesture. It wasn't exactly an unpleasant feeling, anyway. Mika's hands were decently warmer than his. Perhaps it was best to simply indulge him, just this once.

The pair stayed frozen in place for a few minutes until Mika decided Shu's fingers were no longer in peril. He pulled back with a satisfied smile, but the cold air merely bit back harder against the warm skin where his hands had been resting. Shu hissed in a small breath at the sensation, causing Mika to look up at him with a blank sort of confusion for a few moments before his eyes lit with understanding.

"Oh! I bet it's still too cold out here fer them, huh? We should go back so you can get all warmed up nice and proper. But how do we keep yer hands from freezin' on the way?"

Mika briefly pondered again until another light went off in his eyes. He took just one of Shu's hands in his this time, confidently lacing their fingers together. "Alright! Now if ya put yer other hand in yer pocket, it might stay warmer too. And I can switch sides on the way home to keep it from gettin' too cold. How's that?"

Shu shook his head, but he couldn't stop himself from smiling, just a bit. "It should suffice. We'd best be on our way then."

Mika was all but bouncing at his side as they set out, enough so that Shu was concerned he'd fall at some point before they reached the dorms. He nearly withdrew his hand to take the remaining shopping bags from Mika and reduce the risk, but ultimately decided to let things be. Shu would be right there to catch him if he tripped, after all. Just like Mika would be there to warm his hands.

Perhaps going together hadn't been such a waste after all.

hey y’all! sorry I’ve been away, I’ve had trouble finding motivation to write, and was pulled out of mcyt back into other interests lol, but I’m back :D

A few things! Firstly, my inbox is open! I don’t feel like I can do much with my older asks, though I will still be working on what I can for them. If I don’t feel like I can write something for one, and it’s a longer one, I will just post it as is so they’ll still be out there.

Im going to do another massive edit of my master list and such. Im going to remove most of the content I’ve made for the dsmp, as well as no longer accept asks for any of the characters from there. I’m not sure what all I’ll be deleting, but I will make a post listing it out when I know and have deleted them!

I will be saving all my old writing on a doc most likely, so if anyone wants access to something specific that’s dsmp of mine, feel free to shoot me a DM about it yeah? Idk if any of those works are y’all’s favorites, but I know the feeling of liking some piece of writing or edit and coming back to it from time to time, only to find it gone.
