So, I'm hung up on this random theory that all too well could have a hint to Harry Styles in it.

She uses the line "sweet disposition" and that is so way too oddly specific to not be a wink to the original song if anything.

And how strange that Harry likes that song too.

The only thing is, the timeliness don't completely match.

question...? is about betty/james/august.

in my head question…? is SOOOO a continuation of the betty/james/august love triangle from betty’s point of view.

 it takes place during her college years where she decided to go to new york for school and once her and james got back together he followed her there but struggled to assimilate to the busy city life. at first she was happy they got back together but then after a couple months he fell back into old patterns and cheated on her again (this time with randos) out of insecurity and temptation. 

BUT they made up because she was so used to having a boyfriend and didn’t want to fight so she forgave him but he kept on doing it over and over again. and all her friends knew but didn’t say anything because they just felt bad for betty but would definitely talk shit behind her back about why wouldn’t she just leave him? she’s too good for him? however, as soon as betty and james made up they would lie to her face and be like aww you guys are so good together! relationship goals! 

and meanwhile james would go back to their hometown and one time he accidentally ran into at august/augustine at her job at the grocery store or something and it was really awkward since they hadn’t seen each other since the previous summer, but then they made small talk and eventually got to be awkward friends who texted (they actually had a lot in common). 

nothing ever happened between the two of them physically again and they kept their distance to make sure it wouldn’t. augustine maybe got a boyfriend who’s a few years older and eventually opened up to james about the way the guy treats her and talks to her and if she was having a bad weekend he wouldn’t hesitate to drive back home to spend time with her. definitely some emotional cheating going on.

of course it doesn’t take betty long to realize they have this friendship/relationship... i imagine james gets into a fight with august’s boyfriend at a local bar or something while he’s wasted and then goes home to betty with bruises all over his face. and she’s convinced he slept with august again and she can’t relive that again and she finally confronts him and just wants to hear the fucking truth about everything. 

this was soooo long but i’ve been thinking about it since midnights came out and i promise if you listen to the song again with this in mind it makes so much sense.

The whole Dusty Springfield x Taylor Swift theory goes so crazy and is SOOO interesting to me! I firmly believe we emulate, respect, and draw inspiration from artists we can relate to or feel represent our most cherished ideals.

It’s obvious that Taylor is aware of Dusty as [her] music has appeared during the eras tour prior / during the countdown.

It’s no coincidence that Dusty Springfield just so happens to have come out as Bisexual and been known for that moment in her life.

It is odd to me that Taylor’s current artwork and album work STRONGLY resembles the color schemes and aesthetics of Dusty’s past work.

Moreover, in a strange crossover episode Taylor Jenkins Reid (Author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo) has mentioned the bisexual artist (Dusty Springfield) in her novel Daisy Jones and the Six.

It’s such a stretch but at the same time I swear to god she knows something we don’t and has stated that Evelyn Hugo could absolutely be Taylor Swift (as well as used Taylor’s lyrics as a muse for her writing.)

I honestly believe Taylor Swift has either read Taylor Jenkin Reids books OR directly inspired or co-written these stories (as TJR has an anonymous patron noted for Seven Husbands).

Idk…I don’t think any of these crossovers or similarities are just by chance. There’s plenty more visuals and information to support this fan theory but I don’t have time to pick through all of it.

I really believe that Taylor Swifts album 1989 (TV) is going to be her most freeing release yet, showing us her true colors regardless of solidified statements or coming out. The girlies who get it, get it, and the girlies that don’t, dont.

Harry's "best friend" is the best boyfriend in the entire world.

Y/n loved her boyfriend more than she loved most things. He called her all sorts of beautiful things, would give her beautiful gifts for no good reason, and most importantly, he loves her and doesn't let her forget it. Amongst their friend group, they are the perfect match. Never apart. Never not talking to each other. Completely connected. It's been like this for the past year, and she loved it.

It took a while to get used to the constant flow of compliments, but she soon learned to bask in them. She still blushes and giggles at them because she still got butterflies whenever he showered her with love.

Harry hated it.

He hated how his best friend asked out the girl he had a crush on for the last year of uni, the one he befriended first. He hated how happy she seemed under his arm. He hates everything about them.

But

He still likes her. He loves whenever he is lucky enough to catch her alone. He loves catching her eye in a crowded room. The thing he loves most is when she smiles at him. He would give up a lot of things to just see that smile more often. It's not like she doesn't smile. In fact, she is smiling almost constantly, but it never quite meets the eye.

It's another one of the friend groups' weekly brunches where Harry overhears a conversation that piques his interest.

"We need to talk, and I think we should leave." The once warm voice of Y/n sounds upset and shakey it makes Harry feel uneasy.

"Let's just talk here. If we leave, people will think something is wrong." Dean's voice is stern and unmoving.

"Fine." Harry has never seen her this upset. "I know that you're cheating on me. I just need to know what I did wrong." To add salt into the wound, she reaches out for his hand, and he pulls back.

"Y/n, I'm not talking about this here." This is what made the tear fall from her big eyes. Harry just wishes he could reach out and wipe them away.

Taking a shakey breath, "You treat me as if I hung the sun, so I don't know what I did." A small sob is let out. "I love you so much. You mean everything to me. I'll fix whatever is wrong with me, just please don't leave me for her." Y/n's begging and pleading is a bit louder than she intended.

"You need to leave. I'll tell everyone you have a family emergency that you need to tend to by yourself. Go home and pack your shit because I'm done." Never in Harry's life has he ever wanted to physically hurt someone until this moment.

"No, you're not doing this to me. You can't be." She's in complete disbelief. "You said you were going to marry me!" Y/n semi shouted. Everything is falling apart in front of her. The man she so deeply loved destroyed her with so little words that he deserved a prize.

He built up her confidence with his sweet nothings. He overfilled her with love and words of affirmation. He made her feel seen. Then he took it all away with an affair.

They talked about marriage and kids and a future where they would have a porch swing and watch their grandkids run around. He said he was looking at rings.

They were supposed to be together till the end, but now...

Her mind is racing. Was she not pretty anymore? Was she ignoring him? Was she just simply not enough for him?

As she is stuck in her mind, she doesn't realize Dean has completely left her.

She's slowly losing the ability to breathe, and she can't feel the ground beneath her feet. Harry watches it all, and he can't bear it anymore.

"Y/n, I'm so sorry, but we need to take deep breaths." He holds her shaking hands gently.

"I'm not enough for him anymore, Harry, I'm not enough." She sobs into his chest. He's now holding up half her body weight, and he cradles her head.

"He doesn't deserve you. How about we leave through the back door and we can go back to my place and change out of these uncomfortable clothes and watch some movies?" Harry whispers gently to her as her tears stain his shirt.

Although something he would never admit, his heart broke for her. Not because he was upset that the pair was officially broken up, but because of how much pain she is in from it. He knows how difficult this is all going to be on her, especially since her and Dean lived together.

For now, he just wants to be there as a best friend. He'll help her get back on her feet. He'll be the best person possible if it means she will be smiling and not crying.

She simply nods at his suggestion and whispers a small "please" that makes him frown at how meek she is.

"Ready to go?" Another nod follows, and they are on their way out, leaving the weekly brunch.

So, theres Kaylor and theres Swiftgron and there (was briefly) Toë and all the other possible romantic links, including even hetero/bi relationships right, and it does make me think, if taylor is queer (and taylor is, even if the specific rship theories arent real, definitely queer) is there any reason we dont also imagine her as poly/ in open relationships?

I mean

If i were rich and famous and beautiful and hot, and all my friends were victoria secret models and musicians and generally also rich, famous, beautiful and hot... and we all work in abnormal industries and working environments and travel constantly and tour and had all that privilege and could probably do whatever, idk i can see there would probably be more people in that world who might have less typical relationship structures?

Is there a reason we assume monogomous, consecutive relationships? Is it because of the intensity of lyrics and the pining? Because I don't know that wouldnt still be present in polyamory (i dont have personal experience here just imagining).

Also, if taylor was poly or open in some way in her relationships it might also explain some of her complex relationship to marriage and weddings - see that post about all the times shes mentioned hating weddings, ruining peoples weddings, not being a bride etc.

I know poly people can get married to a primary, but it would certainly add a layer of complexity.

It also could unite some kaylor theorists and swiftgron theorists, what if the signalling for both is correct? What if theres overlap? What if something non conformist is happening here?

Anyway just theorising and thinking, please reblog/ reply w your own ideas. Obviously its all just speculation and shared imagining but im interested to imagine together.

I have a theory about all these recent taylor sightings.

We have not seen taylor paped this much since 1989. And as we know now, that was on purpose. She has been very good at only being seen when she wants to be.

So why are we seeing her so much as of late? It's not to sell concert tickets, those are all sold out. It's not to sell records, she's breaking records just fine on her own. She's not particularly pushing any products rn. So what could it be?

I think it's for Joe. She is in her revenge dress era. In her "you're going to see me today" era. In her "I bet you think about me, and I'm going to make sure of it." Era.

I think it's odd that this is the most we have seen of Joe too. The whole time they were dating wasn't he mr. "I want a private life" ?? where did that go all of a sudden? I think he's doing the same thing.
