Good Boys EriTav AU

The AU that saves Eridan, Tavros and probably Feferi from dying during Murderstuck!

Once Eridan and Vriska find Mindfang's journals and read about the Summoner, Eridan becomes interested in using him to his advantage. Vriska finds Tavros. Despite her efforts to swat him away, Eridan keeps intercepting her plans to talk to him, arguing, and fighting over the poor bull boy just trying to live his life.

After calming down and having a civil conversation about the custody of the lowblood (without him present), Vriska is reassured that Eridan only intends to use him to help with his duties in feeding Feferi's lusus. She relents and times are worked out for when Eridan can have him working and when he's offlimits for her. She even starts to see Eridan as a partner; making the wimpy boy more like the Summoner by working out and flexing his powers.

So Eridan begins 'kidnapping' and forcing Tavros into helping him. Rudely at first, telling him that a few lusi's lives are worth the greater picture, as the fate of everyone now rests on his small shoulders. If he doesn't help, everyone's blood will be on his hands (not the truth, but it's enough to guilt him into being compliant).

A routine is established when Tavros accepts. Eridan picks him up, they meet up with Feferi (at least she's nice to Tavros and always thanks him for his help!), they do what they have to do, then Eridan takes the bullboy back. It's usually a whole day affair that happens once every week.

As time passes, Eridan's hopes with Feferi aren't fulfilled. Despite her having more time to herself now that Gl'bgolyb gets full for longer, she'd rather use it to foster new relationships and talk to other trolls than to spend it with him, prematurely seperating herself from Eridan bit by bit.

Eridan is baffled. One day, while on duty, Tavros catches him checking out his unread messages to Feferi. Ehen she doesn't show up like usual at the end, he asks about it, and Eridan says she's busy. After a while of silence, Tavros asks if Eridan is okay. He did not expect the wave of venting that followed. It was the first time it happened. Not the last. Since then, his encounters with the bronzeblood are less hostile. And towards the end, without Fef, they spend a little longer on Eridan's boat just talking.

Then, the FLARP occurs. The poor boy is left paralyzed waist down and with his previous friendgroup (Terezi and Aradia) unresponsive. Even Vriska has kept her distance. Tavros feels scared, hurt and alone. He hadn't expected Eridan to knock on his door again, ready to pick him up. When he saw Tavros, he was shocked.

Vriska hadn't informed him of anything that had happened. He's mad. Vriska broke their Summoner! Eridan huffed and glanced down at the bullboy now in a wheelchair. He noticed how his usual, uneasy smile had been completely wiped. He didn't look like Tavros anymore. He was... smaller.

Eridan wiped his face with a groan, weighed his decisions, lifted his arms up in the air and shouted.

'Wwell wwe still havve a job to do! Let's figure it out!'

Tavros, with a wheelchair, ON A SHIP? It took a lot of trial and error to figure out how to make it work, but Eridan didn't give up. And he was surprisingly gentle, not even getting mad at Tavros.

For the first time in their business relationship, Tavros felt... safe.

In the end, part of the solution was to get the job done quicker. But the pair unexpectedly found themselves lingering once they got on shore anyways. Like they wanted to keep talking... so, Tavros invited Eridan inside. Surprisingly, the fish boy accepted.

During this time, they found out they have a lot in common. They love fantasy and can spend whole afternoons debating their favorite media. They start seeing each other even outside of Lusi duty, just to hang out and play. Eridan isn't as pushy with Feferi anymore, his time being taken up by a new troll. An actual friendship is being formed (though Eridan DOES NOT call it that... yet. If prompted, he will insist that he is still using the low blood. Really, Tavros is just a way to get closer to Feferi! She has a soft spot for lowbloods, getting one of his own will make her interested in him again! And surely by spending less time with her, he's making her jealous...?) .... It's a lie.

When it becomes clear to himself how much he likes Tavros (pale), he switches gears and starts forming the idea that, well. Eventually Feferi is going to move to his red quad anyways, so why not... keep Tavros close and single for when that position opens up? He'd be a good moiral...

Then the shit you'd expect goes down as the game starts. Eridan is broken up with. He's DEVASTATED. Tavros is busy with Vriska, but when he reads messages from Eridan about needing another talk, he gets worried and looks for an opportunity to text back, being distracted and getting on Vriska's nerves more.

His chance occurs after Vriska 'breaks up' with him, finally realizing they wouldn't work as red rom. Tavros finally gets the chance to properly exchange texts in between playing and it's really helpful for the both of them in their respective sessions (Tavros gets to talk about how it went with Vriska and Eridan gets madder on his behalf.)

When they finally meet up, it's because Vriska dumped Tavros on Eridan's planet to 'help with the Angels, isn't she so thoughtful?' In actuality, she did it because she was sick of Tavros ignoring her and hoped he'd get caught in Eridan's crossfire but he actually helped calm the situation down and soothe the angels. Good shit!

Now the pair stick together, and Eridan at last, nervously (but trying and failing to act like he isn't), asks Tavros if he'd officially be his moiral. Tavros eagerly accepts!!! Their destinies of being lonely in the meteor crumbles with this timeline.

Eridan cant help trying to show off that he has a new moiral, talking him up in any conversation. In a way, it's to make Feferi jealous, but mostly, really, it's because he's happy he's finally got something good going on. Everyone largely rolls their eyes and ignores it, but Tavros always beams when Eridan does it.

They are cute and wholesome, even on par with the meowrails. Imagine these two giggling to themselves in the corner, always having each other's back, Eridan defending Tavros from Vriska and trying to fight his battles, Tavros intervening when things with Sollux look bad, Eridan giving confidence lessons haughty prince-flavored, Tavros trying (and being really cringy but endearing with his sincerity) to be Eridan's wingman with Nepeta.

Nepeta sees through their pale quadrant and putting them on her shipping wall, feeling like their visits to her have become less annoying and more interesting as she tries to come up with ways to get them to realize their deeper feelings.

Eridan still thinks about joining Jack Noir in this losing battle, but it's second to focusing on what's going on with Tavros's crush. Tavros tried confessing to Jade as Eridan instructed him to, gets rejected the same way publicly, and is embarrassed, but Eridan is there to blow up at Vriska for making fun of him. Instead of Murderstuck killing the two of them, Eridan and Tavros have been in Eridan's room trying to 'get over Jade' after Eridan's insistance. A moment is shared as they joke around where Eridan nudges Tavros and realizes he feels sparks when Tavros smiles at him and tells him he might have had a terrible confession, but he's never felt this good before, being with him. That's when Eridan has to call the whole thing off and they check the texts on the grouo chat. They stumble back outside to find that Vriska, Nepeta, and Equius have died. The murder clown is still out there. Sollux, Kanaya, the matriorb, and Feferi are still safe and sound.

There's more players, more hope as they meet Rose and Dave for the first time. That's where I end the AU for now.

EriTav is better than DaveKat because Tavros could have fixed Eridan, but Dave and Karkat only made each other worse. That, and them actually being able to meet before the game, makes them more likely to be canon. They both have an inferiority complex (though covered with a superiority complex in Eridan’s case), meaning they would both rely on each other, whilst Dave and Karkat simply would piss each other off more.

EriTav aka SurfnTurf / Surf n' Turf is better than Davekat. Both have an interest in FLARP and I wonder how well they could play in campaigns. They have a complicated relationship with Vriska and can help the other move on from her. And maybe despite Eridan's beliefs of hemospectrum and racism towards lowbloods, he probably wouldn't act too harshly around Tavros, knowing he is not exactly like other trolls and feel embarrassed that someone is treating him tolerably. Maybe Eridan can help give Tavros a boost of confidence in return to show that nobody, not even Vriska, should mess with him.

Drawing My Homestuck Ships Part 2

Continuing doodling and talking about ships I like, lol.

1. EriNep: My eyes widened when the story mentioned Eridan tried getting into a relationship with Nepeta and we didn't get to see any of it. Since then, my head's been full of the possibilities. I hinted at it in my Meenah's Feferi AU, but I'd like to make an AU where Eridan gets character development by not being isolated from the group as he was, instead, hitching onto the Meowrals' dynamic. Think about it! As Equius has most of his attention on Aradiabot during the early days of the session, Nepeta 'gets stuck' with Eridan and the two gain a strange bond. Nepeta has a pension for picking up and managing pathetic saps (*looks at Equius*) so although he's annoyed her in the past, seeing him post-break up intrigues her cursed shipper heart to try to help him get out of his funk. Any stupidity thrown her way, she's able to bite back perfectly well, and at the threat of her leaving and him being alone, he would always calm down and apologize. Their spats slowly subside the more time they spend together (maybe she even sticks around his horrid world and helps soothe the Angels before the massacre really begins), and come near the end of their SGURB session, Equius is able to rejoin the dynamic again and makes an uneasy peace with his 'mortal enemy'as both are disgruntled highbloods watching their privilege being reduced to nothing. But with his new connection, Eridan doesn't think about leaving anymore. He's still mad, but not nearly as desperate. He's got friends now. And his connection with Nep only grows stronger when Gamzee snaps, Eridan is tasked by Equius to protect Nepeta, and he dies doing so. (May write the scene and more shippy moments in their friendship prior to dying later)

2. JadeTav: I WISH THEY GOT TO MEET. It didn't occur to me at all that Karkat was Jade's patron troll. I really thought it was Tavros! And I had hoped that his confession would bear fruit later on in the story, after they actually got to know each other better through the journey. Tavros really took it like a champ! It made me so proud of him :[ Maybe I should make an AU for it where Tavros lives and IS the troll to help her the most. I just think their friends-to-lovers potential was too strong and wrongfully cut short. They had a wholesome, supportive, and dorky dynamic. (And yeah maybe it would've been cool too to slap back Vriska's taunts about him being pathetic for being 'friendzoned' by having them be official later. They were good for each other, they just needed time.)

3. EquiKat: This stems, like I am realizing most of these ships do, from my desire of the canon interactions to have gone differently. I would have liked to have seen a rougher Equius that posed more of a threat to Karkat's leadership instead of him being all talk and no action. Yeah the bit is funny that he likes being bossed by lowerbloods, but I felt it would have been better to see more of the struggle of him not wanting to let go of his stubborn beliefs (and it'd help give him more reason to 'give in' to Gamzee killing him other than 'haha horni', that he was actually glad something was 'making sense' to him again).

So there'd be constant arguing between the two, Karkat getting especially vicious with the increasing criticism, eve having fun finding new ways to shut the indigo-blood up quicker just by getting closer to him, until enough time passes and he has the very disturbing realization that the headaches he got from having Equius around have been replaced with catharsis and clear-headedness after their arguments. Equius provides an outlet for him to get all his frustrations out, and after their big show of insults, the two are able to calmly talk things over, and Karkat can actually think clearly. He jas very clearly fallen into a pitch relationship with the sweaty horse troll. He's embarrassed, and the others jump at making fun of the situation.

Nepeta is baffled and miffed that he got into Karkat's shipping chart before her.

Can I request the beta kids and trolls with a female human friend reader?

Reader is the leader of the human kids team. She's a free spirit who jump into every fight she can, mostly to protect her friends. She's not stupid by any mean, she just prefers to fight rather than talk, and doesn't hold grudge against her opponent if they reveal to be a good friend/ally.

She's feisty and kind of a tomboy, she hates dresses, ribbons, high heels and the color lime.

The trolls and the kids are kind of worried, because they saw a adult woman in a lime dress, with lime high heels and lime ribbons who look like reader, but more mature, cold and sour. Apparently, she's under the order of Lord English and Doc Scratch.

He was distracted for only a couple of minutes, but the woman disappeared. However, he understood something. He understood that if this woman was you, then something bad had happened to you

He intended to find you and tell you about who he saw. He didn't know what exactly happened to the other version of you, but he hoped that together you would be able to prevent it. He saw that your adult version was like an ice puppet, devoid of emotions, and he didn't want something to happen to you, his friend, that would make you like this

You and Rose were friends even though your characters were opposite to each other. She was calm and rarely lost her composure, preferring dialogue, while you were bold, determined, eager to fight and ready to defend your friends at any moment. In your team, Rose was the think tank and you were the leader and you worked well together

You always tried to help your friends and Rose made sure that you did everything right. She gave you advice and you helped her. You weren't stupid, but you preferred fighting to negotiation. Rose knew that and didn't disapprove of your methods. You were not cruel and never held a grudge against enemies if they became friends or allies

You and Dave have been good friends for several years. He liked talking to you. You were easy to communicate, you rarely had any disagreements. You were good at playing the role of leader, which is why when the game started, Dave was not against you taking on the role of leader of their small team

You were always the first to rush into battle, ready to protect your friends no matter what. You were bold, brave and far from stupid, even though you preferred battles to negotiations. Dave knew he could rely on you. You were willing to go to great lengths to protect your friends and they knew it. Just like they knew you hated dresses, ribbons, and lime color

During the game, Dave felt someone's eyes on him. At first he thought it was one of the enemies, but when he turned around, he saw a woman in the distance who was watching him. He noticed her because of the lime dress that stood out strongly against the landscape. She was just watching him. The thought that something happened to you in the future because of which you changed so much did not give him peace of mind. He intended to tell you about it in person so that the whole team could sort it out. He wasn't going to let something break his friend and change you so much

Jade was glad to have the opportunity to chat with you and when you saw bright lime-colored plants on your planet, you often began to write to Jade about this. She knew that you hated lime color, but it was far from something that you or she could control

Jade was sure that everything would go well, but something happened that she did not expect. She saw a strange woman. This woman was wearing a lime dress and her face was indifferent. But what scared Jade a lot more was that this woman looked a lot like you, like she was an adult version of you. She tried to approach her, but the woman disappeared. Jade wasn't sure if it was really an adult version of you, but she intended to tell you about it

Karkat has written you a huge number of messages in which he wrote to you to be careful about that strange woman. He didn't know who she was, but he was sure she wasn't your friend. He tried to protect you in his own special way, but you were not online. This made him even more worried. He hoped that you were okay and that you hadn't turned into that cold version of you

You met Aradia personally during the game. She was traveling through different time periods and accidentally met you. She saw a slightly later version of you who was familiar with her, so she decided to get to know you. She found you interesting and she was interested in watching you fight. For you, she became your first troll friend and sometimes she even gave you advice on how best to act as a leader

She traveled between time periods and communicated with different versions of you. You found it funny, but you never asked her what would happen in the future. You liked talking to her and listening to what she was telling you. You didn't know much about archaeology, ghosts, and time lines, but you were a good listener

During the trip in the next period of time, Aradia saw you again, but this time everything was much worse than she could have imagined. You were a grown woman in a lime dress and with an indifferent expression on your face. She immediately realized that you didn't become like this on your own and that apparently Doc Scratch was involved in this. She couldn't even try to talk to you, because you disappeared, but she wasn't going to let this situation go by itself

She went to you to warn you and ask you to be careful. She knew that Doc Scratch wouldn't back down from his plans so easily, she intended to stop him even if it would require her to take you on a journey through time lines

♉ Tavros Nitram ♦️ human fem!Reader 🦽

When you and Tavros started chatting, you quickly took a liking to him. He seemed nice to you and you wanted to protect him as well as the rest of your friends. Tavros has been watching you. You seemed like a hero to him and he was happy to talk to you. You never insulted him or laughed at him and he was pleased to communicate with you

Tavros watched you fight. You were bold and ready to defend your friends at any moment, regardless of who your opponent was. You've always preferred battle to negotiation. You weren't stupid, but you didn't like to waste time negotiating. However, Tavros still admired you

When he was watching you again, he noticed that he wasn't the only one watching. He saw an adult woman in a lime dress who was watching you with indifference. She looked like you and he assumed that this woman was someone like your lusus, but she disappeared as strangely as she appeared

When he wrote to you about the mysterious woman, you were surprised. You replied that your guardian was dead and you had no idea who that woman was. You both understood that this woman was somehow connected to you and you intended to find out exactly how. Tavros had no idea who she was, but he intended to help you in the few ways he had

♊ Sollux Captor ♦️ human fem!Reader 🐝

From the very first day you met Sollux, it seemed funny to watch you. You were a little weird, but he liked talking to you. You reminded him of Karkat, only less hot-tempered. He liked talking to you. You were able to become friends pretty quickly, which you were glad of

Sometimes he would joke about you, but you really seemed interesting to him. You were brave and loyal to your friends. He liked watching you and watching you fight. You didn't like negotiations, preferring fights. He knew you weren't stupid, but you had your own methods that you used

When he was watching you again, he saw a strange woman. She was watching you with an indifferent expression on her face. She looked like you, only older and wearing a lime dress. Sollux knew that you hated lime color and at first he thought it was your lusus, but then he remembered that you said that your guardian had died. He didn't know who that woman was, but she disappeared after a couple of moments, as if she just disappeared into thin air

He wrote to you about it, but he didn't find out if you responded to his message. He was forced to take his mind off the screen to deal with his problems. He was hoping that you could talk a little later and that you weren't in danger right now. He really wanted to believe it

♌ Nepeta Leijon ♦️ human fem!Reader 🐱

Initially, your communication with Nepeta began in the format of a game. You thought it was funny and you had no idea she was watching you. You always tried to find time for her. You considered her one of your friends and tried to answer her every time she wrote to you. She knew you weren't a troll, so she was interested in learning more about you, even though you didn't quite understand the reason for it

During the game, she saw how often you became a participant in battles to protect your friends. You were brave, daring and always ready for a fight. You weren't stupid, but you didn't waste time negotiating. Nepeta liked to see you when you were fighting. You were a good fighter and she understood that. She hoped that someday you would be able to talk in person and she would be able to introduce you to Equius

When she was once again watching you and waiting for you to be able to reply to her message. However, a figure she didn't recognize caught her attention. It was an adult woman dressed in a lime-colored dress. She was watching you with a cold expression on her face, as if expecting something, but when she literally disappeared into thin air, Nepeta felt uneasy. She wasn't sure that this woman was friendly to you and wanted to protect you in case of danger

She texted you about a mysterious woman, but you were busy and didn't see her messages. Nepeta hoped that by the time you read her messages, you would be safe. That woman looked like you and that was another reason why she was worried about you. She hoped this woman wouldn't hurt you

You met Kanaya personally. You have never corresponded before, so you only knew each other from the stories of your mutual friends. It was interesting for you to communicate with each other. You told each other about your lives before the game and what you were interested in, as if you had known each other for many years
