NEW FILM NEWS! ***STILL NOT THE OFFICIAL POSTER*** I am incredibly proud to announce that my short THE UNBRIDLED FEW is an official selection of the Steve Aronson International Film Festival! Super excited that this little movie which has been in the works for over 5 years will go international and be screened in Costa Rica!
CONCERNING THE POSTER, this is what the guy we paid, James Cloyton, sent me after like 17 emails begging him to finish. He was in the hospital for a foot infection, at one point his son called about James's foot problem and I was incredibly confused because why do I need to know all about his foot? THEN I get this emo horse picture with simple text and I'm like "DUDE I COULD HAVE DONE THIS" and James actually responds "Then why didn't you?"...so now I'm just trying to get our money back from him and he's fully stopped replying to my emails, and he's looking at his phone too, he posted a FOOT UPDATE on his THREADS feed. Don't hire this guy!
Dimitrios Apostolopoulos – Pistoma ( Face Down ) ( Audience Choice Award & Interview )
We invite you to watch the interview of the award winners from the Lift-Off Global Network of London, including the director and screenwriter, Dimitrios Apostolopoulos, who won the Audience Award, among 140 films in his category.
We look forward to seeing you at the Lift-Off's Sessions Audience Choice Filmmaker Roundtable!
Last night, the 48 Film Project Group B screenings took place at the dazzling Regal Cinemas LA Live, and what an exhilarating cinematic event it was! The atmosphere brimmed with suspense, joy, and a collective passion for filmmaking. The entirety of the evening was both exhilarating and unforgettable. In a delightful sequence of events, I was joined by the wonderful Aidan and Joe Forte. There is something surreal about witnessing oneself on such a grand screen, and watching my 50-foot visage come alive in "Muse" was certainly a moment to cherish. Charles, the superfan villain, was truly brought to life and I could not have felt more joy about it. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team of "Muse" for their unwavering dedication, hard work, and for making the project a grand success. Miss Skyler Poiley's direction and the combined efforts of the whole cast and crew have truly made this experience memorable. A massive shoutout to every filmmaker who showcased their talent and the essence of cinematic storytelling. Fingers are firmly crossed as we hope to be in the running for the awards. The anticipation is high! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported all the teams. Let us maintain this momentum and hope for the best in the awards announcements!
The Baby in the Basket is a gothic horror feature inspired by 1960s horror movies, film noir and some of the classics across the ages! In short, it's Rosemary's Baby meets The Omen meets The Shining - tense, mysterious, paranoid and shocking.
With a screenplay by acclaimed screenwriter and horror expert Tom Jolliffe (Renegades, War of the Worlds: The Attack, Wrath of Van Helsing), The Baby in the Basket is set on a remote Scottish island at an isolated monastery, where a baby is left on the doorstep during a blistering storm. Before long, strange things begin to happen on the eerie island and Sister Agnes starts to suspect the baby is the devil's child.
