Dear Anons & Followers,
Sorry fam for being MIA all of a sudden..... 😔
Yesterday was such an AWFUL day at work for me, and I haven't been right since. 😩😭 I've been full of anxiety, stressed out, and emotional all day since yesterday. 😔
Sorry, I've just been off Tumblr (social media) since Tuesday.... It's been so hard to focus.
I think I'll be okay in the long run, but these past couple of days (actually, the last few MONTHS) at work have just been kind of stressful and anxiety-inducing for me. 😢 I already suffer from anxiety, so this just made it worse.
It's not even the work that's stressful, but more so just the inner-office politics, the "unspoken rules" 🙄, and the "personalities" of SOME of these attorneys... 👀🫣
I LOVE where I work and the job that I do, but sometimes, the learning curve of law firm "life" in "Big Law" has been quite an adjustment. I think I'm probably too nice for this industry tbh. 🥺
Sorry y'all.... I'll probably feel better towards the end of this work week. 😔

I just want him to want me back. Is that too much to ask for? Like wtf. Why can't I ever like someone who likes me back? Why? I hate this. And he was the one who messaged me first! I don't even know why I had messaged him back. But I did and no here we are. I guess I really should have listened to my coworkers. I shouldn't have slept with him the first time we met. But I did. I don't really regret it. I just wanna go back to those times. I love cuddling with him. I like how I feel when I'm with him. He's actually the first guy I've been with that I'm actually like physically attracted to. It's that damn smile. It got me. And I know if he texts me and asks if I wanna see him, I'm gonna say yes. Cause it's been a week since I've seen him (I've been sick) and it's been 3 maybe 4 days since he's texted me. I mean I know we aren't dating but still. He did this the first time he went out of town. But he told me that time that he'd be mia cause he was going to be with his son. I feel like that could have just been an excuse but idk. Maybe his son really doesn't like when he talks to other girls around him. This time he went out of town for his bday. I just don't understand why he has to go mia. hello mae! I’m sorry I was a lil mia for a second 🥴
these past few weeks have been nice, a few little bumps every now and then but overall good although i will admit the past few days I’ve been feeling a little sick and ngl it got me and my parents worried so I’m gonna get some blood tests taken during the weekend just to check that everything’s alright and verify that i just probably need some vitamins 🤞🏻🤞🏻
i also went on a walk with my sister the other day and omg i sooo needed that, it even rained a little bit and it was nice, she showed me this street where there’s a whole ass tree in the middle of it like right in the middle (say what now), she found it a couple of months ago on one of her morning walks and has told me about it but i only saw it a couple of days ago and we took some pictures posing in front of it cause this thing was also mASSIVE, not the biggest tree I’ve seen but one of definitely :0
i started korean classes again after two months ish and it’s actually very nice, it helps me keep practicing and studying even if im feeling lazy cause like that was the thing, i could totally study on my own but i just couldn’t (like some people nEED to get a gym membership otherwise they don’t workout, well i need my teacher assigning homework otherwise i won’t do it) ㅠㅠ
i also started journaling a little bit again and it helps a lot so im happy about that ^^

you had only just stepped through the front door when you instantly felt something was off. you didn’t know what it was right then, but when you took a few more steps into the house, it became more apparent.
“i don’t talk? i’m talking right now!” vinnie’s voice was raised, seemingly arguing with someone.
“you’re always upset!” michael shouted back.
walking into the front room where everyone was, you saw your boyfriend and michael standing on opposite ends of the pool table having a shouting match with each other, the others awkwardly sitting around the room, not daring to get involved.
“what’s going on?” you cut vinnie off as he went to hurl an insult at michael, slightly scaring him by the sound of your voice.
completely ignoring your question, vinnie stormed past you to go to his room.
“you go sort vinnie out and we’ll sort michael out.” mia pleaded with you, thankful they had stopped shouting at each other.
you didn’t know what to expect when you walked into vinnies room. the two of you had only been together for the past few months and you’d never seen him this pissed off before.
“hey vin, what happened? please don’t ignore me, you know i’m here for you to talk to.”
“michael’s a fucking dick. he doesn’t understand what it’s like having to produce a shit ton of content everyday. i do tiktok, i stream, i have photo shoots and sometimes i just feel like this isn’t what i’m supposed to be doing with my life. half the time i think it’s not even worth it.” feeling a bit more calm, vinnie looked at you and opened his arms, making grabby hands for you.
“i’m sorry you feel like that vin. there’s probably not a lot i can say or do to make you feel like it is worth it when sometimes you feel it isn’t but if you really don’t want to do all this anymore you need to speak to thomas about it okay? can we cuddle for a bit and sort it all out later though? i’ve missed you.” you chuckled lightly when he nodded his head frantically.
you got into bed and he flopped on top of you, putting his weight on you. you kissed him and rubbed his back to calm him down some more.
“i’ve missed you today too baby, i’m sorry you came home to that. everything just came to a head very quickly and instead of talking about it, comments were made, therefore the argument happening.”
“it’s okay, just go to sleep for a bit. i know you must be tired but please go and talk things out with michael later on. don’t let it affect your friendship.” you didn’t like it when he got angry for any reason so you just wanted him to sort this out.
“i will.”

Omg, so I know I left comments on the latest chapters, but I had to come here to sing some praises too, because holy hell those chapters were amazing!!! 😩 I just love your writing so so much, and I will forever be grateful I stumbled across AWWW last year. It is by far one of my favorite Levi fics EVER, if not right there at the top. The detail, the world-building, the characterization of Mia is all just so fucking perfect and I’m always in awe whenever I read a new chapter.
I love Mia and her character so so much. She just gets Levi, and that’s one of the things I love most about her. She understands him, understands how he is, and it’s so freaking sweet and adorable 😭 the way you’ve inserted her into canon is AMAZING. She fits so well, as if she were made to be there. Her personality meshes so well with everyone else. Her insecurities, her flaws, her virtues, everything about her is so damn relatable.
All of the things she’s gone through, yet she still keeps going, and it’s such an admirable quality of hers, her resiliency. Yea, she still struggles, has her ups and downs, but it’s not “blink” and everything is fine again. It’s a constant process of working through everything, and with the support of her friends and Levi, she’s able to keep making progress. I think that’s part of what makes her such a beautifully well-written character.
Also, Levi? Yea your portrayal of him is so perfect and spot-on. I think different potential partners/lovers for him will bring out different sides of him, and I love the side of him that Mia pulls out. He has these moments where he’s just so sweet and affectionate, but in a way that’s utterly Levi and I love it.
And holy shit the smut between them 🥴🥵 you write their steamy moments so well, and it’s always fun to read. The progression of Mia moving from where she was at the start to where she is now was a blast to read. The slow-burn honestly killed me but was well-worth the wait. It just made sense for a character like Levi, and a character like Mia too.
Anyways, long story short, I love love love this fic, so so much 😊💜

And now, onto my reply:
I’m so so thankful you stumbled upon my story too! Reading your comments and hearing your constant support and love for Mia and AWWW has been such an inspiration for me to keep going with it! Usually I write for myself but it’s another thing entirely when you know there’s someone out there who loves reading this story just as much as you love writing it. Mia’s character has always been my baby, and I’m so grateful that even after all this time (and months and chapters and events in the story) you still root for her! She’s changed a lot since the first chapter of AWWW and it’s nice to look back on those days to see how much she’s grown.
Mia’s resiliency is probably her core trait, the one thing about her that will probably never change. No matter how many times she falls or fails, or how many times people tell her “no” and belittle her or try to make her feel a certain way, she’s always going to get back up and keep fighting for what she believes in. Sometimes it’ll take her some time to recover and heal, but she’s determined to push through and be the best version of herself she can possibly be.
And that’s where Levi comes in—a constant wall of support, and yet he has the brains (and mouth) to tell her to slow down or stop when she needs to. And in return she does the same to him; they ground each other, they’re each other’s weight in this world. They support each other and protect each other, and they’re not afraid to let the other know when they’re upset or when they need some extra affection (although it doesn’t always come out the right way)! Their communication was one of their weakest points in the beginning, and I think it’s gotten so much better over time, as they’ve gotten used to how they both work in this weird little relationship of theirs.
Yes! I do agree that different partners pull out different sides of Levi, and there’s a lot of unexplored territory that gets to be revealed as they grow alongside each other! That’s why I love to read fics for him, both Reader and OC, because every author has their own interpretation of him and his character. And there’s a lot of potential there to create powerful character moments and situations that allows both Levi and the reader/OC to grow as people—not just characters, but people. And I’ll be honest, the sweet and affectionate side of Levi is just too precious and quite a few of those moments are purely self-indulgent! (Especially the forehead kisses—oh to be kissed on the forehead by Levi himself...)
And I’m so glad you enjoyed the smut too! (Honestly when I saw your comments from Ch. 58 I thought “ooooh boy I can’t wait till Scarlet gets to the next chapter” 😏) This has to be one of my favorite scenes of this story to write! Not just because of the smut, but because of Mia’s somewhat “reclamation” of herself and her relationship with Levi. We’ve seen it before when she asks him to return to the sweetheart nickname in Ch. 55, but this way is much more physical and intimate. They know each other so well at this point, they know their strengths and weaknesses and what to expect from each other. They give each other space and time when they need it. And after everything they’ve been through for the past few months (almost a year in the story) they’re finally at ease with each other, enough to trust each other with what they once had. And seeing them reclaim that for themselves was so much fun to write!
The slow burn nearly killed me too, though! 😅 Writing it was so painful at times, and I remember thinking to myself “oh god it’s Ch. 40 and they just kissed, I have like 28 more to go before this story’s done”. But i think it was all worth it in the end! Sure there were long chapters where we were all just screaming at them to get together already, and a lot of that comes from my fears of moving the story and their romance too quickly! But there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a slow burn romance finally reach its peak, and seeing these two lovebirds have a few moments of hard-earned peace with each other.
Alright that’s the end of my rant Scarlet! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the story and Mia’s character and everything else along those lines! long venting under cut, just wanted to get it off my chest, pls skip ⏭ it’s basically me rambling here like it’s a diary entry
Honestly shoutout to my boss for calling in to check on me today. I’ve been so overwhelmed with so many different things I need to get done, I just shut down completely, emotionally and mentally, on everything I was doing. I put off doing everything and at some point, I accumulated a whole of people need to call/email for school and work that I’m way overdue on and my boss was one of them. But after like a week or two passed and I finally had free time to sit down and respond to her, I just got so anxious??? So I kept it putting that off and the stress of not doing it but knowing I have to became this whole cycle of me not doing anything and feeling like shit constantly 🤦♀️ but idk after talking to my preceptor recently about my concerns about postgrad and like omg when my boss called. she didn’t even bring up the fact it’s been a while, she kept it casual and was so nice, asking how I was, and how things are with the rotation 🥺 and it’s been months since I basically left her on read??? i expected her to be angry or upset, but she didn’t mention it all?? I ended up being the one to bring the topic up and kept saying sorry and she said ‘it’s fine, dw about it, everyone has times when they get too busy or overwhelmed, don’t feel sorry about it’ 🥺🥺🥺 idek it took a lot of the anxiety and stress I felt whenever I think about all the things I need to get done and it’s prob from realizing in that moment that every situation isn’t gonna be the worst case scenario I keep imagining and not everyone is gonna blow up and get mad at me for being MIA for so long. anywaysususu long rambling im so sorry to anyone who actually read through this but in conclusion, i finally feel a lil bit better compared to before and now can finally go into what’s hopefully a productive weekend 🙏 and to anyone ive been slow on replying to, ill be more active in the upcoming weeks!! finally figured out how to find good access to social media that’s NOT constantly dropping. honestly fuck those damn blocks on the company’s WIFI SMH. im already trapped working in the basement with no windows and then u add the pain of not even being able to connect to others outside there??? UGH 😩
also side note: I noticed I got some new mutuals recently and I saw and thank u so much omg 😭 idk how u found me or why u followed back because I legit contribute nothing except overusing ‘sorry’ in convos LOL but ahhh again thank you 😭 and hope we get a chance to talk in the future!
