Cat got stuck in the wall. And then I’m gonna slip a second cat in with a string tied around it. Those two will become codependent. Then I’ll rip the second cat out. And the first one hopefully- hopefully will follow.

Season 5, Episode 9 "100"
DISCLAIMER - I have not seen any discussion around this topic and if there is please let me know
Jack's line "Mom I have to go, I have to work the case"
We know from previous episodes that Haley filed for divorce because she was unhappy with Hotch due to his working long and unorganized hours. (Important for later). While separated/divorced Haley mentions several times that Hotch needs to be more active in Jack's life.
When Foyet begins his assault on Hotch, he is quick to bring Haley and Jack into his line of attack as he is aware of how much Hotch values his family (even though Hotch has not seen his family due to witness protection).
When Foyet has Haley and Jack held hostage, Foyet has Haley call Hotch, and Hotch gets the opportunity to speak to Haley and Jack for the first time in a while (not sure on the time frame Haley and Jack were in WITSEC). As Hotch realizes he will not make it there in time he tells Jack he needs him to "work the case and hug your mom for me."
This is where it gets depressing. While Jack is hugging Haley he says "Mom I need to go, I gotta work the case." This singular line breaks me. As we know why Haley and Hotch got a divorce (his unwavering support to the BAU--ignoring his family in Haley's eyes--and working long hours), hearing her son's last words to her being "I gotta work the case" is crushing. Knowing that the BAU has taken her (now ex) husband away from her (keeping in mind during one of her arguments with Hotch he said "one more case") and hearing Jack say almost identical words as Hotch previously said most likely brought memories she forgot she had to the surface.
In Haley's last moments she was most likely thinking about keeping Jack away from the BAU (in terms of job not safety) and protecting him from his fathers mistakes.
This episode and specifically this scene makes me emotional and I wanted to share by thoughts. That's all, bye.

9:35 pm-
Ok I've ruminated in this for long enough, and I'm putting this on this blog bc I don't wanna upset the Pedro Pascal girlies on my main, but what the is the appeal of Oberyn Martell? Like all he did was drink, brood, fuck, and talk about getting revenge (to the point where he couldn't finish getting revenge).... Like I'm here for the revenge shit, that was fucked and honestly The Mountain/Gregor Clegane needs to fucking go, but also Oberyn seems kinda flat as a character. Maybe I'm missing stuff from the books but honestly he wasn't appealing to me at all, kind of made me uncomfortable...
(Then again the guy i like is still a lil fucked up but ik he's got a good heart, which is fucking hard to come by in this show)

It’s just so funny to me thinking about Oliver going on set to film 7x05 being all like “I’m so excited how are they going to handle Bucks coming out story” just to be told that they’re going to choked him.
I mean- WHAT MAKE THAT DECISION??

Episode 9 of Fargo is titled "The Useless Hand". Perhaps it is a deliberate method of foreshadowing part of the final episode...
Ole Munch's speech describes Gator as the "Useless Hand". He is returned "without function". This is how Roy has ALWAYS viewed Gator. This is how Gator, as a result, has viewed himself.
But perhaps this will foreshadow the opposite. Perhaps the useless hand will become useful. Even though he cannot see, Gator still can speak. It is words and truths that can be most useful in the upcoming episode.
Perhaps Gator will find his purpose by revealing the truths of what his father has done.
In the Oedipus play, there are a couple of quotes that strike me as similar to Gator's situation:
You, with your precious eyes, you’re blind to the corruption of your life, to the house you live in, those you live with.
Gator is "blind" to his father's ways. He refuses to see Roy for the horrible person he is.
However, another line is also striking. Here, Oedipus speaks to a blind prophet:
Blind as you are, you can feel all the more what sickness haunts our city. You, my lord, are the one shield, the one savior we can find.
The sickness is Roy and his corruption. However, Gator is now the one who is literally blind. He may finally be able to see the truths of Roy's ways and perhaps even act upon them. Be a "savior" of sorts that help bring down his father.
Gator, though dubbed a useless hand, may finally serve a purpose, as he is awakened to the reality of his life through his blindness.
