low effort ruthie doodles. good for the soul
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Plain text ID: Four digital drawings of an original Flatland character named Ruth. The first drawing is a monochrome headshot sketch of Ruth. She has grey skin, a large eye for a head, a small and stubby point on top of her eye and four short bottom eyelashes. She is looking to the bottom left with a surprised expression. The second drawing is another monochrome sketch of Ruth. She is a humanoid creature with a dent in her lower torso and has grey skin with patches of lighter grey, a short tail, a large eye for a head with a short point in top and four bottom eyelashes. She is sitting down whilst bent over, with her hands on her knees, looking at an oval-shaped grey bug on the ground. There is writing beside the bug that says "buggie". The third photo is a rough doodle of Ruth, but with green skin instead of grey and a light teal pupil instead of a black pupil. She is wearing a cream oversized tee and a brown straight maxi skirt with a lettuce-cut bottom hem. She is posed mid-walk and has her cane in her right hand. She is looking down to the bottom left. The background is white and there are three colour swatches above her, going from left to right: blue, green and brown. The fourth drawing is two black outline sketches of Ruth. In the left sketch, she has an upset and worried expression. She is looking to the left with her hands held out in front of her. Her back is slightly bent and she is posed as though mid- walk. There are some scribbles besides her to indicate stress. On the right, she is sitting down and holding her cane in her right hand. Her left hand is resting on her lap and her tail is tucked under her body. She is looking to the left with a disappointed expression. There is a small cloud-like doodle beside her, signifying a sigh.
End ID.]

Fronds Forever
Fern fronds The curly bits of new fern fronds never, ever bore me. I will always, always stop and admire them. They are simultaneously beautiful and silly. A kind of wondrous site, and also adorable. The growth of new ferns tells me when winter is leaving its last bit of frost behind and making way for sunshine. These stretching, growing ferns reach for my legs as I walk by on the…

RANDOM THINGS FROM BE MORE CHILL BROADWAY THAT I REALLY LIKE: CLIPS

The whole Bowling Alley Performance Art scene (x)
Jeremy lifting Christine toward the end of A Guy That I’d Kinda Be Into (x)
“Eminem is dead?!” (x)
“I’m tired of being the person that everyone thinks that I am” round (x)
“Sever your ties, or you both drown.” (x)
All of Loser Geek Whatever (x)
Act 2:
Brooke talking about why she likes Halloween (x)
“Right, I’m Prince!” (x)
The SQUIP dancing with the students during Halloween (x)
Chloe falling backwards onto Jake’s parents’ bed (x)
The SQUIP face planting onto the bed (x)
“Yeah, unless you use it like you!” (x)
“I’m having my period!” (x)
All of Michael in the Bathroom (x)
Christine talking about her feelings on her costume (x)
“Seriously, where the FUCK can I get some Mountain Dew Red?!” (x)
Christine’s pucking pun (x)

Final notes:
I’m sorry this took me so long! Even after collecting all the clips, it was just really tedious to organize them and list them, and at one point I accidentally closed the app without saving so I lost a ton of progress. Plus, I’ve just been kinda busy. But! It’s here now!
If you’d like any other moments from the show clipped, I can do that for you! I can also clip most (not all) of these from a different video that’s not from closing night. This one zooms in on the characters more, so I’d be able to get clearer shots. Just let me know, I’ll grab it for you, no problem, as long as it’s not closing night exclusive.
Thanks for your patience, and I hope you enjoy!
