Mediocre Media
“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.”
Revelation 3:15
In media production, a live event is called ‘hot’ media. Something fresh is always hot. Hot out of the oven, hot off the press, and hot topics are all examples of how we use temperature to communicate newness. A preacher preaching a sermon, or a teacher lecturing in a classroom are both ‘hot’…

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm -- neither hot nor cold -- I am about to spit you out of My mouth.

God looks on the heart is often used as a comforting verse and there is much truth to that but let us remember that if we harbor evil in our heart God will judge that.
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matthew 5:28
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
1 John 3:15
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isaiah 14:13
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
1 Samuel 16:7
I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 17:10

"THERE'S DANGER IN TWISTING SCRIPTURE!"
Deuteronomy 4:2, “Now listen, Israel, listen carefully to the rules and regulations that I am teaching you to follow so that you may live and enter and take possession of the land that God, the God-of-Your-Fathers, is giving to you. DON’T ADD A WORD TO WHAT I COMMAND YOU, AND DON’T REMOVE A WORD FROM IT. Keep the commands of God, your God, that I am commanding you.” (MSG)

Christ is King. Adam was also king, but he failed to exercise dominion over the serpent. Jesus has conquered the serpent, and all authority on Heaven and on Earth has been given to Him. He is enthroned at the right hand of the Father and will reign until His last enemy, death, is subdued.

The Relationship Between Farming and Holiness
Analogies are helpful and here is a good one from a godly leader who now lives with Jesus. Jerry Bridges was a long time staff member with the Navigators, a discipleship ministry that started in the military but has expanded in to worldwide discipling movement.
Wise words from Jerry Bridges and his classic book The Pursuit of Holiness.
Here’s the analogy that Bridges uses:
“Farming is a joint…

Are You Lukewarm Toward Jesus?
By Adrian Rogers
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16
Do you know the greatest obstacle the Church has to overcome? It is lukewarm Christians—people who have their names on church roles, people who claim to love the Lord Jesus…

Job 41:32 | ³² He leaves a glistening wake behind
him; one would think the deep had white hair!
In the Bible white hair symbolizes spiritual wisdom which
maybe why JESUS has white hair!!! [Revelation 1:14]
Revelation 1:14-15 | Vision of the SON of MAN
¹⁴ The hair of HIS head was white like wool, as
white as snow, & HIS eyes were like blazing fire.
¹⁵ HIS feet were like polished bronze refined in a
furnace, HIS voice was like roar of many waters.
When I worked at my lowliest job as a clerk, where I had
to ask permission to go to bathroom or get drink of water
and many times I was denied this and told to go on meal
break, which I weirdly complied & stuck it out for 7 month
[ FYI this was 2020, I’m 40yo at the time].
But what is even weirder was for a few weeks, when I
spoke to anyone, & I mean all day everyday my voice
sounded like I was possessed by some alien. My boss
gave me a sideways glance, as I was witnessing to the
clients & asking for their ID clearance. And one day my
mom said why does your voice sound so weird. I’m not
crazy I have witnesses!! But I thought I was going crazy
at the time because my boss only looked at me w/ side
glance said nothing & customers didn’t know any better..
But my mom, she knew but she didn’t say anything until
a couple weeks into this non-stop weird alien deepthroat
like ‘many waters sounding voice’!
That was first time I started witnessing to people on the
job, & ignoring orders to stop: My hours got cut severely
but I didn’t care because I honestly hated that job; but it
did cause me to learn to ask GOD for things because
my boss was a yeller, that’s what I’m trying to say: bad
things make us go to GOD--which is cool how that works
Only reason I didn’t freak out over the voice thing was it
didn’t make me feel any different aka it wasn’t killing me
--but I was wondering if there was something wrong with
my ears, when I did question it in my mind GOD sent
confirmation from my mom’s outright question.
