Has Tanaka first began his life's work as a Phantomhive butler for Vincent, or for Claudia? Does the manga show this?

When Tanaka joined the Phantomhive household

For Claudia/Cloudia, for sure, but it's only vaguely stated by Vincent. I don't even recall which chapter (or was it in "With Father"?), but Vincent says something about how Tanaka was already an old man when he (Vincent) was a kid. Vincent calls Tanaka "Gramps", just like the twins do, and that suggests that Vincent grew up with Tanaka already in the household.

I and some others here have discussed this before and figure Tanaka probably joined the Phantomhive household around 1854 or thereabouts, given the political climate in Japan at the time. If it was 1854, Vincent would have been three years old.

Day 22/23/24 - Rōnin

During my education at Arasaka we learned much about Japanese culture and customs, and we were taught how to live up to it.

Lately I think often about the Rōnin or Rōshi.

At a dinner, Joris made a remark about how funny it was that a Rōnin was married to a Samurai. He meant it as a joke of course but maybe he doesn’t know how close he is to the truth. 

I was the first Rōnin, betrayed by my master, even hunted when I refused to die. But I had good instructors and so they gave up at some point.

Takemura Goro was the second Rōnin betrayed by his master's son. He was one of my tutors during my time in Japan. He always told me to never trust a Rōnin because there are reasons why they’d fallen from grace.

Takemura called me arrogant for breaking into Konpeki Plaza to steal the biochip, but actually I wasn’t arrogant, I was angry. I wanted to plant my boot into their asses and give them a good kick.

I could have let him die when he abducted Hanako, it would have been easy, but I didn’t. I rescued him, knowing that he would betray me the first chance he gets. 

I’m not like that, not anymore. I’m not  a samurai any longer, I play by my own rules now.

The third Rōnin was Oda, though it was very short-lived. I saved him from his shame. He thought that just because he was my instructor he could easily beat me. Takemura should have told him something about arrogance. I didn’t kill him, well I hadn’t the intention. He attacked me a second time, he couldn’t accept his defeat.

I am the only Rōnin left from that time, and no one will remember me as such, I am grateful for that. I died twice by force, my third time I wish to be of age, preferably during my sleep.

Fisker Rōnin, 2023. A folding hardtop "super GT convertible" that will be a new halo model for the Fisker brand who it goes on sale in 2025. The electric supercar will be based on a new aluminium space frame chassis, with integrated battery cells that will provide a range of 600 miles (966 km). Details of the electric powertrain have yet to be revealed but it provides over 1000hp and 0-60mph in “approximately 2 seconds” with the focus on driver enjoyment rather than autonomous technologies.

So I'm generally pretty picky about which AAA games I purchase these days but I'm glad I took a chance on Rise of the Rōnin. This game is genuinely a good time. The story is interesting, the character creator is immense, the inventory system is great, and I really love how they incorporated a bonding system with the people you meet along the way. If you're looking for a fun sandbox game, I definitely recommend this one. The graphics aren't a next gen showcase like Horizon: Forbidden West or anything, but the game isn't broken and runs really smooth on the PS5. Sidenote, my protagonist is 💋😍❤️‍🔥
