So I’m currently writing a Jacob x reader fanfic, it’s a prequel to the movie about jacobs first solo hunt, to prove he’s capable of being captain to Crow, but he needs help from a very fine croupier (the reader) the reader gets Jacob a ship and a crew but they ran into some trouble in between hunting down the monster, any suggestions what kind of trouble they get into. For example: jacob gets his map stolen and the reader dresses up like an escort to seduce the thief and distract them while Jacob gets the map back.

My favorite thing about The Sea Beast (2022), is that Maisie being an orphan specifically from parents who had the great death due to their voyage against Red is so important to the plot because she is the one who ultimately ends the war between sea beasts and humans because she recognizes at the end of the day there was no one else to blame but the monarchy who constantly sent people to their death, feed their citizens with lies of how the war began, and further antagonizes the sea beasts.
