• Asmodeus chose Leviathan’s outfit based on a game leviathan liked. Leviathan gave asmodeus a three day lecture so Asmodeus would understand the game better but he escaped many times.
• Satan’s human world outfit was chosen specifically to not be suspicious if he went to a cat café
• When Barbatos got a temporary job at Hell’s Kitchen he was yelled at by a customer for being too polite
• Physical labor makes Asmodeus cry
• The necklace on Solomon’s human world outfit is a magical item
• Mammon and Asmodeus like to go clubbing together after part time jobs
• Diavolo is always worried he’ll bring shame on his ancestors so he visits the mausoleum often to remind himself of his responsibility
• Beelzebub thinks it’s incredible how quickly Solomon repairs magical items.
• Mammon was fired from Ristorante Six after selling all their silverware
• Asmodeus tried feeling up Barbatos on the dance floor so Barbatos pulled Satan to the dance floor and danced with him instead

hello! sims 2 miniopolis update!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
first of all, my current sims 2 urbz sims >:3 outside of the obvious change of a default skin, they don't look that different compared to my old versions of them. But! believe me they are better.as well, this time! there's the DS exclusive characters and a few sims intended to be townies. In order, Lloyd, Red Man, Daschell Swank, Chet R. Chase, Bucki Brock's sister, Joe from the Flea Market (yes, he does have a name), Ava Cadavra, and Gordie Puck. Indeed, they're very red.
Tumblr media
And an update to the town in general! I've finished most of the easy lots now, mostly having harder lots to do now. Such as the Mausoleum, Circus, Brownstones + Slice O'Life (which I… attempted. can you believe that the map of this game doesn’t follow the laws of physics?), etc.
New lots include: - Junked Schoolbus (which IS connected to the Chopper Garage visually but they aren't the same lot) - Chopper Garage (which i am not going to put underneath the road/jail! it looks cool in-game, but possibly impossible to do in the sims 2 but it makes no sense spatially!! the other side of the garage would just be underground!!!) - Cemetery (Mostly just empty buildings for aesthetics. No graves… yet. and there probably won’t be until the final version of the hood.) - Miniopolis Chronicle (TINY) - Miniopolis Hospital + University (if this was ts3 i probably would have made them separately) - Club Xizzle (what is it supposed to look like on the outside + should there be two?) - Glasstown Megamall - Cinema d'Urbania (how do you make a cinema in this game? big TV?)
I redid King Tower as well, just to make it fill out a 3x3 lot instead of a 2x2 lot, and Café Multiplaya has a new outdoor seating area (to fill in space). The Coffee Shop, the Market, and Glasstown apartments were in my last post, just kinda in the background. The Market has a lot of creative liberties taken to it, as I just didn't like how it translated into the Sims (as in it's made to represent the real-life French Quarter Market more). The Glasstown Apartment has a few other units in it for some of the Urbz sims (more on that in a bit!)
I removed pretty much, all the elevation from the .s4c terrain. It's easy to put back butttt, the sims 2 just doesn't work in a way that's friendly to sloped lots (and simcity 4 for slopes that take <1 unit of distance, you can't make steep cliffs in these games. so, basically, due to the compactness of the city, there isn’t enough room to add in slopes without making it all janky). They may come back at the end if we can Wizard the slopes to work the lots, but for now...
Ignore the weird road off the Sim Quarter. I was experimenting with what could be done with the riverboat. I was thinking about putting it on a beach lot and making a joke about it being temporarily landlocked (read: i already did) and was trying to find a good, functional place to put it. There may be other ways to do a riverboat though… hmmm
Anyways onto housing for the Sims. So, the Glasstown Apartments has a few more units to fit in a few other characters (Lottie Cash (I did manage to squeeze a bowling alley in there), Lily Gates, and Darius) but other than that? Very little! (I did Ewan’s House. however, it’s just a box; i took modest pretty literally). I might make a post soon where I talk about where each Urb would probably live, just as an excuse to talk to myself for a little while.

2,000-Year-Old Roman Mausoleum Unearthed Near London Bridge
No burial artifacts were recovered from the structure itself, but the surrounding area yielded over 80 Roman burials containing copper bracelets, coins, glass beads and a bone comb.
A "completely unique," 2,000-year-old Roman mausoleum that has emerged from the rubble of a development site in central London is the most intact ever discovered in the U.K.
The monumental tomb — of which low walls, entrance steps and interior flooring remain — is bejeweled with two mosaics composed of small red tiles, each featuring a flower enclosed in concentric circles. More than 100 coins were also strewn across the tomb's floor.
Archeologists only found the second mosaic when they dug beneath the first one. This indicates the mausoleum floor was raised at least once while it was still being used for burials, they said.
The discovery, which is nestled within the city's central Southwark area, "provides a fascinating window into the living conditions and lifestyle in this part of the city in the Roman period," Antonietta Lerz, a senior archeologist at The Museum of London Archeology (MOLA), said in a statement.
Roman invaders under Emperor Claudius founded London, or Londinium, around 47 A.D. and ruled the city through to the early fifth century, when dwindling military resources and incursions across the rest of the empire forced their withdrawal from Britain.
The recent excavation bears the marks of this decline. "This relatively small site in Southwark is a microcosm for the changing fortunes of Roman London — from the early phase of the site where London expands and the area has lavishly decorated Roman buildings, all the way through to the later Roman period when the settlement shrinks and it becomes a more quiet space where people remember their dead," Lerz said.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The mausoleum would have originally housed coffins and other burial artifacts, according to the statement, but none were recovered from the structure itself. However, the excavation site around the monument yielded Roman-era items belonging to more than 80 burials, including copper bracelets, glass beads, pottery and a bone comb.
Archeologists will now examine these recovered items to better understand central London's Roman past.
Only the wealthier members of society would have had access to the mausoleum, which may have been used as a family tomb or belonged to a "burial club," requiring a monthly fee to secure a future grave, according to the statement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What remains of the structure indicates that it was a two-story building with large buttresses in the corners for support. The high walls were probably dismantled for reuse elsewhere during the medieval period. Inside, a raised platform cemented with pink mortar containing crushed bits of pottery and brick — a widely used Roman building material known as "opus signinum" — designates where the burials would have taken place around three sides of the mausoleum.
The discovery follows that of a 26 foot (eight meter) long Roman mosaic — the largest unearthed in London for more than 50 years — in February 2022. The newly excavated mausoleum will be put on public display once construction has concluded, according to the statement.

Fic idea based on this where the RAD newspaper club is going to the Mausoleum of the demon kings for some fluff piece when one gets the bright idea to head inside and do some stuff for the Demon King, pay some respect and maybe some funny pictures. So as one of the members goes in, the others record for a combination of posterity and a desperate attempt to explain it to the authorities if they get caught where they aren't supposed to be.
But as the little leader gets close to where the Demon King lies, they notice something off; the king should be in eternal sleep but he doesn't seem to be breathing. Not like they would know about how the Demon King sleeps, but it's still weird, isn't it?
Then they get close enough and there's definitely something wrong. They haven't seen the King in millennia at this point, but he has this unnatural grey-ish pallor and his body looks limp, not unlike a corpse.
The leader gets a bright idea: approach and touch the King, just to check if he's alive. This is risking getting eaten and their club members all tell them so, but still, gotta try, right?
A gentle poke, nothing.
A soft shove, nothing.
A whisper in the ear, nothing.
A semi-distant shout from an irate Mephistopheles (he must have called the other members at some point about why they went inside), nothing.
That's when the leader decides to check something; touching his chest to see if he's still alive, checking for a heartbeat. So they use their wings to fly up and reach a careful hand to push onto his chest. Only that it sinks upon their touch, like the Demon King's flesh is mattress foam instead of muscle over bone. But what their fingers sink into is the worst part.
It's a stab wound to the center of his chest, with stagnant black blood leaking out onto their hand and coating their fingers with a revolting sheen.
-----
Mephistopheles can barely tell what's going on between all of the screaming, even as he tries to get back order and get some semblance of an explanation. But then he gets the worst news that he had ever heard in his life.
The Demon King is dead, stabbed in the chest who-knows how long ago.
-----
The news is all over the Devildom within hours. It's understandable, their sovereign had been killed at some point and no one had known. The video evidence of the RAD newspaper club finding out is all over social media within minutes, and it's a mass panic for everyone that sees it. Mourning, fear, furious blaming the angels or the humans or just anyone because this can't be real, this can't be happening. The Demon King is dead, murdered.
Diavolo was the first to find out, Mephistopheles calling him in tears. It felt like the world had frozen in place, he was trapped in shock.
Not because his father was dead.
Diavolo was the one who killed him.
It's that people had found out.

Of Obscure Sorrows
Tumblr media
A passing moment among ruins weaves a tale of a changing story.
(Is this Malleus x Prefect (mostly platonic)?? On my blog?? Yes, in my usual moody, kinda sad way. Terms within come from 'Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows by John Koenig)
Ambedo.
His gaze narrows as he reads over the text again.
N. A melancholic trance in which you become absorbed in vivid sensory details.
Dark lips curl into a bitter grin as his finger traces over the lettering. It’s quiet where he sits, sequestered away in a mausoleum of sorts to a building long since passed. Crumbling brick walls with vines acting as their mortar are his shelter, and the sun above him—barely concealed by the foliage of the trees—is his ceiling.
This day is an ephemeral one, he thinks, tilting his head back to squint at the golden rays dancing through the leaves. A warm breeze, carrying the scent of nature on its back, brushes across his skin as he exhales slowly. Here, in the heart of the forest within NRC, is one of few places of solitude left. With only the wildlife as his soundtrack, it’s a much needed paradise from the chaos that is the Diasomnia Dorm.
He looks at the book again.
Anchorage. N. The desire to hold on to time as it passes.
He hears the sound of footsteps in the foliage. His gaze rises from the curious novel he holds to see a familiar figure, eyeing him up with some curiosity a few feet away. Perhaps he should have expected this; his sanctuary is on the outskirts of Ramshackle. It was only inevitable that the sole occupant would find him here. He looks to the skies again—how long has he been out here, anyway?
“Hello,” he hums. A simple word, and yet it carries such a profound effect, causing a smile to appear on the Prefect’s face as they approach. It’s as though with a single acknowledgement he’s given them permission to enter his home; he hasn’t, but they don’t seem to care as he watches them struggle over the decay he sits in. Humans have always been rather clumsy in his eyes—he remembers Silver in his younger years, stumbling and tripping everywhere he went. It seems as though for some humans, such habits never truly leave.
“What are you doing out here?”
Their voice is calm, curious—comfortable around him. Although he sits shrouded by nature, looking as inhuman as he can ever be, they smile at him like he’s simply another person they cross paths with. And they have crossed paths, many nights now, in the sparse early hours outside of Ramshackle. He raises an eyebrow at their words, looking at their face before he speaks.
“Temporarily escaping.”
Flashover. N. The moment conversation becomes alive.
As though his comment opened a floodgate, the Prefect happily begins speaking as they settle amongst the ruins as well, still uninvited, but not unwelcome. It was an oddly jarring comparison; someone so lively resting among things so dead. Whereas Malleus himself could have easily blended in with the scenery, the Prefect stood out like a beacon, unaware of the change they were bringing. They weave a tale with their words, unbothered that Malleus simply sits and watches with his book still in hand.
But he listens.
He catches each hitch of their words, each syllable and vowel that they drawl out. He studies their expressions and makes note of what makes them smile, and what makes them scowl, as though trying to learn these responses himself. They speak of Grim, and of Ace and Deuce, of the weight of the studies that they, as someone without magic, carry, and many other tales of mischief done.
They ask how he is. He tells them he's fine. He speaks lightly of Sebek, Silver, and Lilia; of the Gargoyle club and a recent letter from home. It feels unusual, having such a lively conversation like this. It feels unusual having a conversation at all.
And yet, he finds himself without complaint.
Nodus Tollens. N. The realization that the plot of your life doesn’t make sense anymore.
It dawns on him an hour in, when the Prefect is still present and has given no indication of leaving just yet, that this is a new experience for him. Malleus is a scheduled person; despite how it may seem, he knows exactly what he will expect in a day, what he will do, and how he will do it. He has a story-line to follow. To be visited by this human and to be lured into a conversation that thrives even as the sun whittled away is not a part of his story-line. To be engaging with anyone at the school beyond what was required, actually, is not a part of his story-line. In one moment, the Prefect is already changing his narrative.
He quietly closes his book as he watches them. The gesture seems to catch their attention and although their words cease, their gaze fills with curiosity about what he's going to do next.
“I dare say it’s beginning to get late.”
“Oh,”
The Prefect sounds surprised as they look up to the skies as well. What was once blue is now gold, indicative of the coming of dusk. Malleus had sequestered himself away for silence, and found himself more than entertained instead. He rises from his seated positions on the ruin and casts down a sparing glance; a few loose stones fall to the earth with his actions, telling him that his presence will still be recorded, even if he didn’t mean it to.
“I will escort you back to your dorm.” He chooses a line that can be taken as a sparse, polite offer, concealing his own selfish desire to keep talking behind something acquaintances would say. It’s a safe phrase; perhaps he wants to ensure they don’t get in trouble in these woods, where they are without their friends and without magic. Or, perhaps he’s just being thoughtful of the hour, wishing to guide them home before night descends.
Either way, the Prefect’s face lights up at the offer and they nod, accepting it without hesitation.
For some reason, that small gesture causes a warmth to stir in him.
They soon depart side by side; he, still blending with the scenery, and they, still standing out like a beacon. The sun continues to wane as the golden rays hits the forest floor, and the ruins soon descend into silence, broken only by the sounds of crickets and fading conversation.
Soon it’s as though no one—no Prince, and no Prefect—was ever there at all.
Keyframe. N. A moment that seemed innocuous at the time, but ends up marking a diversion into a strange new era in your life.

Milestone Monday
On this day, July 24 in 1802, French novelist and playwright Alexandre Dumas was born in Picardy, France. With the help of his father, a general and aristocrat, Dumas acquired writing work with Louis Philippe, Duke of Orléans, setting the stage in his career for early success. Dumas lived a decadent life that he allegedly often could not afford, and in turn traveled regularly, fleeing creditors and relations with whom he had fallen out of favor. He spent time in Spain, Italy, Germany, England, Belgium and Russia, before returning to France in 1864. Dumas’s journeys inspired the adventurous themes of his many books and plays and left a legacy of prolific publications including The Count of Monte Cristo, The Nutcracker, and The Black Tulip, along with several illegitimate children.
Amongst Dumas’s most well-known works, The Three Musketeers stands out as a classic historical adventure novel that has been translated into nearly one hundred languages and multiple mediums. First published serially between March and July 1844, The Three Musketeers was written in collaboration with Auguste Maquet, and while inspired by a true encounter between three young Béarnese it is in a whole a work of fiction. This two-volume, 1932 Limited Editions Club production of The Three Musketeers was illustrated by Pierre Falké (1884-1947) with vibrantly dynamic hand-colored prints, designed and printed by A. A. M. Stols at the Halcyon Press in Maastricht, Holland, in an edition of 1500 copies signed by the illustrator.
After a life of writing, Dumas died of natural causes in December 1870. He was buried at his birthplace but was later re-interred at the infamous mausoleum of the Panthéon where his casket was carried in by Republican Guards costumed as the Musketeers. French President Jacques Chirac spoke at the re-interment doting on Dumas, “With you, we were D’Artagnan, Monte Cristo, or Balsamo, riding along the roads of France, touring battlefields, visiting palaces and castles-with you, we dream.”

On September 19th 1817 the remains of Robert Burns are moved to the Robert Burns Mausoleum in Dumfries.
Robert Burns was originally buried in St Michael's Churchyard, Dumfries, in a simple grave, marked only by a plain stone slab. In 1803 when Dorothy and William Wordsworth visited Dumfries they had difficulty in even finding the grave. Burns' admirers came to believe that this was an insufficient memorial to the poet.
In 1813 his friend, John Syme formed a committee and launched an appeal to build a mausoleum in his memory. One of the subscribers was the Prince Regent, later George IV. The mausoleum was completed in September 1817. The statuary group which is within the mausoleum was designed and worked by Peter Turnerelli. It depicts Burns' own conception of 'Coila', representing the Ayrshire district of Kyle where he was born, throwing her inspiring mantle over the poet as he works at the plough.
The laying of wreaths at the mausoleum on the poet's birthday was instigated by Dumfries Burns Club. This ceremony was observed throughout the 19th century and formed part of the celebrations of the first and second centenary of his birth. It is still an important element of the rituals of Burns' birthday today.

After being chased, the group had to split up in order to escape; halfway there Alex and Nico found themselves, having no idea where to go, they decided to enter an old and abandoned cemetery in the city.
As they wandered among the tombs and mausoleums, a dense fog began to surround them. In the distance, they heard an ominous whisper that seemed to catch their attention. Following the sound, they came to one particular tomb. Attempting to read the inscription, it proved impossible, it was too old.
They were startled to hear a familiar voice behind them, with a great slowness, Nico turned around, she feared she was hallucinating, but no, there was the spirit of her sister, she knew it was her spirit because it didn't look corporeal.
She tried to hold her breath, the last time they saw each other... a greater danger appeared. Although this time Amy looked very different, on her face was a vacant and gloomy look. Her voice echoed in their ears, full of sadness and despair.
Amy warned them of an even greater danger ahead. Said danger was planning to summon an ancient, demonic being that would bring destruction to the city.
When Nico wanted to ask her more questions, Amy's ghost was gone, yet she knew that somehow, her sister would guide her.
Following the clues left by Amy, they entered a dark and mysterious forest.
Moving further into the cemetery, they found an ancient mausoleum hidden in the shadows. They needed to know if this was where the ritual Amy had told them would take place. Cautiously, they approached and peered through a small crack in the door.
What they saw took their breath away. Calypso Ezili, was surrounded by candles and dark symbols. Her eyes glowed with a malice as she spoke words in an unknown language. The air was filled with an evil energy that made Alex tremble and Nico alert.
Determined to interrupt the ritual, Alex and Nico searched for a way in. It was then that they noticed a small opening in the back of the mausoleum. They decided to slip through it, their hearts pounding with fear and excitement. As they advanced, they encountered traps and supernatural creatures trying to stop them, thanks to the Staff of One.
Inside the mausoleum, they found a dark passageway that led them to the center of the ritual. Every step they took, the air became thicker and more oppressive, breathing became more and more difficult. As they got closer, they could hear the screams of pain of the tormented souls that Calypso used in his invocation, and it seemed that he was talking to someone, perhaps it was one of the spirits or one of the dead.
Suddenly a chilling noise alerted the boys, Alex peeked through the small window that was in the place.
“We are in trouble," he whispered.
“I have the Staff... "
“No, Nico, you don't understand, you need to see this."
Nico looked out, Alex was right, the Staff wouldn't help, he didn't even know what to do to avoid what was happening, the dead were starting to rise, and come back to life, but they weren't alive.
“We need... PRIDE," they said in unison.

He was the most prominent of the Confucian court scholars involved in anti-French military campaigns in the 19th century and was cited after his death by 20th-century nationalists as a national hero.
The Tottenham Outrage of 23 January 1909 was an armed robbery in Tottenham, North London, that resulted in a two-hour chase between the police and armed criminals over a distance of six miles (10 km), with an estimated 400 rounds of ammunition fired by the thieves. The robbery, of workers' wages from the Schnurmann rubber factory, was carried out by Paul Helfeld and Jacob Lepidus, Jewish Latvian immigrants.

Are the stones wearing off the front door? Look at the overpass- it does kinda look like the monorail at Epcot.

Am I right?
Tumblr media
Look at the indoor garden under the stairs.
Tumblr media
The upper level.
Tumblr media
What's with all the dopey little statues all over the place?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The living room. I bet there's a housekeeper just for dusting all the statues.
Tumblr media
Looking down from your monorail to the living room.

Great conservatory, but I'm guessin' the parents sat in those chairs listening to their kid practice the piano.
Tumblr media
The dining room has some sort of multi-faceted ceiling.
Tumblr media
I'm getting confused by the mirrored images.

This retro kitchen stayed so clean b/c I don't think anyone ever used it. I would be afraid of getting sucked up by that exhaust hood. Beam me up, Scotty.
Tumblr media
Family room/library/office combo has a great mezzanine.
Tumblr media
As if the primary bedroom isn't big enough, there's an anteroom, too.
Tumblr media
Huge primary bedroom. They can take that furniture with them.
Tumblr media
There's a lot going on in here. Sunken tub, mirrored walls, glass walls, busts enjoying the show, King Henry VIII painted on the wall outside, and a carpeted floor.
Tumblr media
Water feature in the garden.
Tumblr media
The pool looks a little lonely and forlorn in front of the mausoleum style guest house.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think that this is the fish-stocked pond where you can fish off your own bridge.
Tumblr media
Lay of the land - notice there're staff quarters in the upper right corner.
