Introducing Destinyswap! Destinyswap is an AU where the the mane six have their destinies and elements of harmony swapped like they were in magical mystery cure. All the lore is below the cut.

Fluttershy is a children's entertainer who likes making shapes out of clouds and balloons. She's much better with foals than she is with adults, and is awkward around grown-up ponies. Despite this, every parent in Ponyville recommends her. She sometimes volunteers at schools and hospitals to work with the foals there and cheer them up.

Applejack is a Manehattan fashion designer who makes every garment by hoof. She's widely known across Manehattan and inspires fashion trends, but tends to stay out of the limelight. She tries to make her section of the city a better place and gives out blankets and coats to those in need.

Rarity is a unicorn with pegasus magic instead of unicorn magic. She had to learn how to channel her pegasus magic through a horn by herself and now works as weather control in Ponyville. She loves making patterns in the clouds and often has a few small clouds floating around her for her to absently fiddle with and shape.

Pinkie Pie works at Sweet Apple Acres as a baker and extra muscle to help with harvesting and chores. She sells her pastries at the Apple Family stand. She doesn't talk much but isn't unfriendly.

Rainbow Dash is a pegasus who barely flies. Preferring to stay on the ground, she lives on the edge of town and takes care of the animals that live in or around her cottage. She's quite nervous but is Ponyville's go-to veterinarian. Everyone knows that if you have an animal problem, go talk to Rainbow Dash.

And... Twilight Sparkle.

Twilight Sparkle isn't friends with the other five. She doesn't know what it is, but she can sense that something is wrong. That she's forgotten something vitally important, that she's failed somehow. She stays in her library most days and Princess Celestia visits her in person to check up on her since she's stopped writing letters. She feels a twist in her gut when she sees the other five, so she tries to avoid them.

One of my favorite MLP moments will always be in Magical Mystery Cure, when Pinkie remembers her calling. She gets the town to smile again and the response is a chorus of “PINKIE!!!��� In the happiest feelings ever. It wasn’t just that they were happy again. Pinkie brought them out of that funk. They were so happy to have her back and it has stuck with me how much joy Pinkie spreads in Ponyville. I love this scene.

Dasher Dreams loved flying. More than anything. The feeling of wind in her fur— it was the best thing she’d ever known. Until…

She was trying to defend her friend. it was just a race. she should have been fine, but she pushed herself too far. Like Icarus flying too close to the sun, Dash utilized the magic within to create the first— and only— ever recorded Sonic Rainboom. the most incredible thing she’d ever accomplished. she felt next to god. her joy did not last, as she began to plummet.

It was a miracle she survived, found covered in magic burns and rushed to the nearest hospital. they did the best they could, really, but Dasher would likely never fly again. not like she used to.

It was during her stay that she got her cutiemark. bored and heartbroken, trying to focus on anything but her pain… Limping around the hospital garden, she began to take in the beauty of the ground, of the flowers and the plants, and the insects and creatures that crawled over the green surface. she began to study them, utilizing the hospital library to find out everything she could about flora and fauna. She didn’t even realize her cutiemark had developed until her parents came to visit.

Her family moved to Ponyville, giving up on the sky, and adapting to the ground. Dasher devoted herself to ecology and conservation, and they were… okay. Not great, not horrible, either. It was just… okay.

My first take on the cutie mark swaps from Magical Mystery Cure because that shit fr made no sense. It’s heavily implied if not outright stated that the mane 6 had been living with their swapped cutie marks for their whole lives, so they wouldn’t be downright horrendous at what they do. Not to mention the show completely misinterpreting what the marks of certain characters represent, like Rainbow Dash as a prime example. Rarity is obsessed with weather patterns, yes showing her original personality with the new mark, but that’s not at all what Rainbow’s mark represents. Rainbow Dash earned her cutie mark by protecting Fluttershy’s honor and showing her competitive spirit by performing the Sonic Rainboom. So Rarity being her usual self but fucking with the weather patterns made zero sense. So…

Meet Prism. She uses her magic to move clouds, sure, but that’s not the only thing she does. She’s competitive in everything she does and is arguably more vain than she was originally. She’s a harder worker and not afraid to get dirty (though there’s a part of her that internally cringes every time she gets mud everywhere). But for some reason, she’s inexplicably drawn to the Carousel Boutique, unable to stop herself from admiring Applejack’s (new name to be revealed later) works even though every time she’s caught she claims she “doesn’t care about all that fashion stuff”.
