He Shall Be Called...Jesus
John 1.1-18 In these opening verses, John presents Jesus as more than a Man…He was with God and He was God. But not only does John present Jesus as more than a Man…He is also a Man. The Word became flesh. He didn’t give up His God-ness to become a Man, but somehow clothed His divinity in humanity. John wants us to know Jesus…fully God because only God can forgive sins. Fully Man because only a…

Malevolent Favorite Character poll results
I meant to get this posted on the anniversary, but then my life got kinda crazy for a minute lol. Here it is now! The results of the “Malevolent Favorite Character” poll. Now we can see who is the fan favorite, wonder why a certain character got so many votes, be surprised that your favorite character doesn't have more votes, etc!
Note, that even though I’m posting the results, the poll is going to remain open indefinitely! Maybe I’ll post the results after another big milestone!
In total I got 281 responses, but none of the questions were required to submit, so some questions didn’t get the 281 responses. I’m put down when that’s not the case, and how many responses there were. Without further ado, here is the results!:

Did I miss any characters that you adore? Let me know!
(This is a “write your own answer” question. If I included your answer, and you don’t want it to be shared, please let me know and I’ll remove it!)
> “Henry McFarland as well as the 3 soldiers. But that's mostly CoC games tbh.” (This was before I put the three soldiers as an answer)
> “Seymore Chapman (The man that Marie was supposed to have dinner with is in CoC Game 1 and is a delight!)” (I didn’t include characters that were only in the CoC games, as I haven’t watched any of them, and this is a Malevolent character poll)
> “The butler who answers the phone when the butcher calls Larson.”
> “The Trader (tho i dont adore him but i know folks who do)” (The Trader is in the poll)
> “The Gug” (I forgot about this guy)
> “FAROE MY BELOVED” (Faroe is in the poll)
> “Butcher.” (The Butcher is in the poll)
> “yes” (....wanna share?)
> “Nope!” (thanks for letting me know)
> “Lorrik!” (I’m going to be honest, I recognize this name but I have no idea who this is. I’m guessing a character that’s from the CoC games that got briefly name dropped) > “I couldn't select her but shout out to Marie, not my favorite but I would both kill and die fore that woman.” (Marie is in the poll)
> “nah”
> “N/A.”
> “Nah you're chill”
> “Grand vizierrrr” (I literally forgot this guy. Like he should have been in the minor character section, but I completely forgot he existed. Sorry Vizier.”
> “the dice rolls in season 1 are a character to me <3”
> “The Trader! Out of all the minor characters, he is probably the most memorable to me. Also the Forest, idk if that counts as a character, but yeah!” (The Trader is in the poll. The Forest is more of a location than a character to me)
> “Not one character in particular, but John and Arthur's dynamic is amazing! Also Kayne.”
> “KELLAN. KELEN. WHERE IS HE” (Kellin is in the poll)
> “No”
> “shoutout to the Forest i think of it often”
> “Butcher enjoyers unite” (The Butcher is in the poll)
> “That lady on the train who was offended when Arthur was “talking to himself”” (Unfortunately, if a character isn’t named they completely fall out of my mind)
> “I like Roland Cummings, but not more than selected choices.” (Not really a character to me? At least no in Malevolent)
> “roland cummings u will always be so dear to me”
> “the one secretary that sounds like jimmy stewart in s4 bless him”
> “marie” (Marie is in the poll)
Total number of times someone suggested someone that was already in the poll: 8
Now this question is purely for me, but who do you like better, John or Arthur? (277 responses)
> I literally can't decide. This question is killing me I love both of them SO MUCH.They're equal to me. Linked. I can't pick one without the other. Do Not Separate: 126 votes (45.5%)
> Arthur: 84 votes (30.3%)
> John: 67 votes (24.2%)
Any thoughts or feedback on the quiz? Idk, ramble or rant to me! Why do you like your fav characters? Do you agree with a character's placement in the "side" or "minor" section?
(This question got 59 responses. To save my time and yours, I’m only including ones I find interesting, or were long enough that I felt like I should include. Many of them were just thanking me for making the quiz. If I posted your response and you don’t want it to be public, please let me know and I’ll get rid of it)
> “I feel like I've done arthur a disservice! I rly rly like him, but I like john juuuuuust a little more! But it's SO hard to not pick arthur!”
> “Thank you for including the objectively best character, blinky”
> “I would have categorized the trader, Percy, and all characters who have been dead since the beginning as minor” (I didn’t share my process for listing the characters in each category, so let me share. But I had two soft requirements for listing a character as “side” instead of “minor”, the first was if they appeared in more than 1 episode, and do they have any speaking lines? If the answer is yes to 1, then they’re usually a side character, if yes to both then they’re definitely a side character.
There’s also a big * on how important they are to the personal story of the characters. This is why Faroe is a side character, even though she doesn’t have speaking lines. She’s so important to Arthur, and she literally haunts the narrative, that I can’t really consider her a minor character.
Percy was going to be a minor character, until he showed up again in another episode.
> “KELLIN! KELLIN MY BELOVED KELLIN MY BELOVED GAS MASK MAN. also, i love rafters theyre so special to me. they were in ONE EPISODE AND I LOVE THEM SO. ASLO KAYNE IS SO SO SILLY WHAT A GUY. Also, Oscar ranks higher than Noel only because I adore the premise of him. What A GUY real.”
> “Honestly great quiz because it let me think about how I would rank my favorite Malevolent blorbos and why I love all of them. Admittedly I love Parker but I'm not sure if he's more minor or side character. I mean he definitely haunts the narrative but he doesn't actually. Appear. Faroe at least giggles a little in dreams/flashbacks. I still love him so much though because of the thoughts and lore I completely made up about him. Anyway I love Anna Stanczyk because of her strange and off-putting family. In a way she is kind of like Antigone from Antigone.”
> Oh my God. I have so many thoughts and feelings on all of the characters. I'll just detail some of them here:
For Arthur (who I picked as my favorite): He's INCREDIBLY complex. I fucking love how morally grey he is. That scene where he was talking to Kayne about why he was able to survive opening John's book is truer every day-- he is one of the most human characters I've ever heard in fiction. His deep love and trauma and obvious guilt over Faroe's death, how you can tell through every single interaction he has with Larson that he still feels the deepest self hatred over what he inadvertently did to his child. HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH LARSON TOO LIKE OUGH the way you can tell he sees himself as Larson in a way, that every time he talks about or fights with him is a direct line to him fighting with himself and the piece that is still mourning Faroe every day. The scene in ep 40 pt 2 where he calls Larson a childkiller that doesn't deserve to live? Arthur, baby, you're talking to yourself.
His desperation every time someone he loves is in danger/dying or dead/is gone. You can tell this man wants the people around him, the people he loves, to be safe for once in his goddamned life, and every single moment it feels like he's just a curse to everyone around him. His parents killed themselves, his wife never loved him and died alone, his daughter drowned, his step-parent estranged, his friends left, his saving grace/partner/best friend strangled by his own hands, John being ripped away from him, then 'forgetting everything' (being replaced by Yellow), forgetting Oscar, Noel getting shot and vanished, even the Butcher was killed. At this point, Daniel, Marie, John, and Kayne are the only people in his life who he still has some connection with. There's probably points when he feels like it's just better for him to be alone entirely, to stop even trying to reach out because he'll just end up being stupid and getting them hurt.
But then he can also be so so so selfish sometimes!! He's incredibly focused on how things affect him, and while he's definitely (imo) gotten a little less self-interested over the seasons, this boy is not constantly helpful!! He's petty and scrappy and rude and brash and dangerously confident and so self-centered it makes me feel sick sometimes. just look at his interactions with Yellow-- the fact that Yellow did want to grow, showed interest in philosophy and poetry and individualism-- and Arthur pushed it aside because he couldn't see past his hurt and anger and pettiness. And the fact that he feels regret and remorse for this!! Like oh my gosh!! Oh my gosh!!
I have so much more to say about him honestly-- I love when we see him caring about stuff like simply wanting some fruit or a haircut. It really brings the situation back down to Earth and reaffirms the fact that he's just a human being. A stubborn, resilient human being, who completely embodies that tumblr post that went along the lines of 'how do i know i'm not immortal-- I mean, I haven't died yet.', but still a human. I love how he can be badass one moment and then completely lose his confidence the next. I love the fact that he's 'soft' (piano, poetry, his sounds of terror and pain) and 'tough' (his mental and physical reslience/strength, his aforementioned moments of badassery, his arguments with John and Yellow, his wits during high intensity moments). Overall he's just my favorite. I'm fighting Kayne tooth and nail for the position of arthur's #1 fangirl.
For Noel (my favorite side character): it's mainly his accent. like ohhhh my gosh he called the waitress 'doll'?? I Need Him. it's also his awesome ass backstory and the fact that he's THE MOST REASONABLE PERSON IN THIS ENTIRE PODCAST. his reaction to finding out John was the KIY was so sweet and perfect. i actually adore him for having common sense and critical thinking skills. he's such a king. charlie you will always be my favorite i love you so so so much.
For Kayne (my second fav): I FUCKING ADORE HIS CHARACTER SO MUCH!!! he's like a twisted sort of comic relief. it might just be that i'm the world's biggest will wood fan and he reminds me of Will Wood (if Will Wood was a malevolent god capable of murdering thousands) to the nth degree. i love his fucked up little cackle, it makes me smile every time i hear it and i don't know why. he fucking TORE into Larson in one of the best scenes in that entire episode. larson is such an intriguing side character (but dw i wont go into him rn) and kayne being a god that he so obviously was into and who just SHUT HIM TF DOWN was so so so satisfying. i love the fact that he has such delight in killing. like if i could explode people's heads and shatter their eyeballs without consequence you can bet your ass i would.
i love that he treats arthur and john like his soap opera. the scene in ep 28 when he's just sitting there munching on, like, a bag of Lays or smth and watching arthur almost bleed out? FUCKING PHENOMENAL applause all around what a king. i just love his line delivery altogether in that scene. the 'little english rose' comment. his goofy 'CANARY!! IN A COAL MINE?!'. his jab about arthur and john's standing lunch date. his little 'steady hand...' when john was sewing up arthur. 'utmost respect for surgeons, continue!!' HES SO FUNNY AUGHHHHHHH I LOVE HIMMMM. i'd let him explode my head tbh ugh he's just brilliant.
third favorite side character-- the butcher: once again i just love his utter delight in murder. this man kills for a living and he ADORES it. you heard him belting in ep 40!! singing his heart out and shooting alien thingies ^^ he most definitely had issues (cough cough 'daddy should've taught you how to tie a better knot boyo scene cough cough) but he was so fun!! i also adore that he's Basically Arthur. like hes so clever and excited abt his work and equally as resilient!! ughhhhhh.
alr i'm getting really tired it's twelve am and i've been writing for half an hour but i have so much more to say on all of these points that i just cannot. just know that i am obsessed with every single character in this podcast ever and i have thoughts about all of them that go mach 5 in my brain at all times so trying to capture them down cohesively on paper Isn't Gonna Work. love you gn.
(This is one of my favorite responses. Thank you so much for writing this <3)
> “Love Kayne he's so unique and fun even though his appearances don't last long they're always unforgettable! Oscar is great because he is gentle and kind while also being tough as nails and loyal to Arthur, he's got so much going on, and Yellow is a tragic figure who makes me so sad. Oscar, too. Arthur's also a fave but I like Kayne and Oscar best.”
> “I’m 10,000,00% confused as to how the hell-disco not a single person has mentioned what a absolute shithead W*llace L*rson isand how SO MANY of you just TALK ABOUT HIM LIKE HES SOME UWU SWEETHEART
CAn you seriously FUCKIGN LOOK AT ME and tell me he isnt the most BLATANT INSULT TO HUMANITY THAT THE WORLD HAS EVER HAS THE DISPLEASURE OF BIRTHING?
Look I know he's Southern or whatever but I can't fucking stand W*llace L*rson.
Why does he think he's so fucking special? Because he's elderly?
Fucking asshole has done nothing but sit around and be a god damned capitalist and for WHAT?
what makes him think he can go around acting all smug and haughty because he what- slept with a god???
I bet the God didn't even like it
I bet that God was so thoroughly disappointed it had to go to fucking therapy after.
I bet that god immediately left the room in DISGUST and SHAME.
See that sick ass wolf over there??? thats me. coming for larson. He better be scared
I can't believe there are actual FANS of L*rson out there
that bastardization of a man is the epitome of grease and black mold.
no wait no that's not it because at least black mold doesn't ACTIVELY try and kill children it just sits around and HAPPENS to kill a child-
like Arthur.
L*rson is a thousand times worse than that
L*rson isn't black mold he's a fucking mangey-ass coyote that thinks it's big shit just because it has a shiny rock and some coins up its ass.
His daughter deserved better and i WISH arthur was able to break 98% of L*rsons bones.
“Oh but arthur shouldnt project his issues onto other-”
FUCK THAT LOGIC
it would be ONE thing if arthur WASNT MY BABYGIRL but he fucking is and I need him to go apeshit on the fleshsuit imposter that is the vague form of a homosapien.
fuck W*llace L*rson and everything he's ever fucking done with his pathetic extended life warrantee
The only GOOD THING going for him is hes not homophobic cause how could be have you HEARD him talk?
If I was able to manifest all my disdain for that country bastard into a cure for covid-19 I’d also cure cancer. And dementia. Cancer and dimentia are very serious and horrible moreso than L*rson ill admit it
It’s astounding how much his cocky attitude replaces my brain cells with uncooked lima beans.
“Oh teehee lets infiltrate a cult of rich fucks and take it over haha how sexy of me”
yeah no. it fucking aint.
“Oh Imma be so cool and villanious and plan a whole nerd ass monologue about how my long time crush arthur lester should join me on the dark side”
get FUCKED l*rson
you dont get to say SHIT i hope you baked a fucking red velvet cake and carefully iced it after giddily waiting for it to cool in the fridge only for arthur to IGNORE YOUR ASS.
And don't get me started on him being a goddamned furry as if being a capitalist wasn't enough.
Why do you have a big buff anthro wholesome sweetiepie cow-boy walking around huh?
HUH?
I can't even begin to describe how HORRIFICALLY SUS THAT IS. WHAT DOES HE NEED A BARA FURRY FOR?
(for you uncultured freaks a BARA is a BIG BEEFCAKE OF A MAN)
Actually no cause all the fucking entites he collects like pokemon are ALL sus L*RSON YOU FREAK OF NATURE what human men arent enough for you?????
Invisible tentacle hivemind loving mistake thats WHAT YOU ARE.
Anyway fuck this shit. Im going to listen to coda AND part 40 where there is an ACTUAL loveable villain
because NONE OF YOU HAVE ANY CLASS OR TASTE.
THE REAL BABYGIRL SEXYMAN IS KAYNE AND YALL ARE SLEEPING ON HIM.
> “Be meaner- don't give an option for "can't choose between arthur and john", just force people to choose :)” (I actually thought of this, but I choose mercy <3 maybe next time I won’t)
> “Idk I just love bastards and I think Arthur is the most unhinged of them all, bc John has the excuse that he was part of a god of madness but Arthur isn't only Just Built like That™ he just choses to go apeshit sometimes and I think that's iconic of him <3 (i do also love john babygirl of my heart) I am just glad Oscar got out of it alive tbh I had very VERY low expectations for his survival NOEL IS KAYKING IN SPAIN WITH TIM STOKER AND DENILE IS JUST A RIVER IN EGYPT butcher,, you were the goodest boy you could be for the last 40 min of ur life amd even so I love the bastard that u were rip (& in pieces [literally]) The taxi drivers is bc I think we need more outsider Pov fanfics and I believe they are such an intresting way to tackle it!!! The vanguard just fucks in general & as a concept and i love it v much Lily,, Lily save us save us from the upcoming divorce era Lily,,,, (magnificent beast love u so much i am so very sad our aquaintamce was so short queen 😔)”
> “just want to say the Arthur or John 3rd answer is perfect. they are like two cats at the animal shelter that cannot be adopted separately”
> “i want arthur and john to beat the shit out of kayne”
> “im just saying my votes for henry and frank are HEAVILY influenced by the CoC campaign and the acting that the lads did in that game. in malpod theyre kinda whatever but in CoC theyre stellar!”
> “HIS NAME is Antoine not the lighthouse keeper” (no, no. I’m talking about the French one Arthur and John met. Antoine was a lighthouse keeper who came before the French guy. I thought about adding “The French Lighthouse Keeper” but I assumed people would know who I was talking about lol)
> “Yes i like bella, yes she has like no lines, nothing comes between me and my aromantic queen #BellaDeservedBetterAndMaybeaDivorce #CurseTheTimePeriodSheLivedIn”
> “elaborating on my “i can’t pick a fav” choice: imo what makes them SO GOOD is how they play off each other. Like the reason i love both of them is because of their relationship with the other. When there’s a scene without one of them, i still like it, but because there’s that ABSENCE of the other that’s always adressed. So it’s like they’re still there in a way. I cannot pick just one yeah. You phrased it well! Linked”
> “I literally just love how John and Arthur are both spiteful bitches. That’s all”
> “Choosing between Arthurt and John was, as expected, difficult. I guess I enjoy John more as a character, but in a way relate more to Arthur. I really love John's struggles with figuring humanity out, though. Me too, buddy. Me too.”
> “This was very cute!!! I forgot about half the people in the minor and side section but you did a great job at including literally everyone. Also shout out to the cab drivers hearing Arthur have a one sided conversation about batshit things” (LOVE the cab drivers)
> “For a minor character you should add the bread Arthur ate. It is canonically, the most important character, trust me bro.”
> “ am foaming at the mouth I love this podcast and all the characters so much. Even the characters who I absolutely despise (cough Larson cough) are so incredibly well written , it amazes me. Thank you for making this, I’ll be super interested to hear the results!”
> “The fact that i cant pick to fav main characters is homophobic to me specifically. How DARE YOU make me puck between my boys /j” (I mean, you could chose Arthur/John as your fav character, and then pick the other one in the “Arthur or John” question???) > “My only comment is that I’ve never seen ‘Adam Fry’ as a separate side character from the KIY.
Maybe the fandom wiki interprets them as separate? But from my perspective, it was always just the KIY using a different name and being purposefully manipulative or showing a falsified hallucination / vision that’s still just an extension of his own power. Adam Fry and the KIY aren’t different characters, it’s the same creature. Just another example of what the KIY can do, and- since you encouraged rambles here, lol- that’s part of the reason I picked him for my favorite side character.
He was a very threatening, ominous force in season 1-2 as the main villain, and I lowkey miss that a lot. Kayne’s entertaining, yes, but he’s also a powerful.. guy. Dude. Creature? That chooses to show himself as human. It’s a trope I’ve seen done a million times before. Powerful, quirky, insane murderer man like The Joker with god powers attached and no shoes for flavor. Meanwhile KIY always felt more Eldritch, animalistic, terrifying and unique to the podcast. He had a lot of ways to influence the world, and others that were very fun to witness like tearing holes and sicking creatures AND people after Arthur. The interesting decision to leave him alive in beginning of Season three, and I’m especially missing the whole, ‘you call it madness but I call it love,’ musical notes that came on random radios. He’s also the (non consenting) reason that John exists at all. I think it’s interesting how we learn about the KIY indirectly through his fragments, and through John’s struggles with who he was, and I’m kind of sad he’s basically gone as a force with only “eh my lost fragment doesn’t fit anymore ✌️ who cares bye” to show for it. Especially after what he did to Noel, and the continued ways he could be present in the story. All in all, just kind of an underrated character to me. My meow meow.” (Idk, about the wiki, the only wiki I read is my own brain, and my brain separates Adam Fry and the King because Adam Fry was named lol. If he didn’t give a name he would not be in this poll lol)
> “Trader likers stay winning”
> “kayne at his core...is a shit stirrer and a freak and I, quite frankly, am obsessed with him <3”
> “this was swag thank you for including lily (animal) and blinky. unproblematic faves” (lol I had to include Lily!! I love her! And Jo herself told me to include Blinky, so I had too)
> “if the "jon or arthur" question isn't 50/50 people are gonna throw a riot lol. (.... I kinda want arthur to win >:3 )” (Welp, time to throw a riot)
> “Ngl, doing this quiz made me realize I have to relisten to Malevolent from the beginning because I completely forgot who half of these characters were. 😭 It was also surprisingly hard to chose a favorite character. I liked a whole bunch of side characters and minor characters, but choosing my favorite was…kinda difficult? Idk, I chose Arthur because I can’t help but like this disastrous wet cat man, but I’m not sure I have a favorite.”
> “I” (Nothing else, just “I”, I thought this was hilarious so I included it)
> “I've only recently gotten into this podcast, but as I was describing what I like about Malevolent to my friend, I said that one of my fav characters was "the invisible hands of fate" ie the meta knowledge of show format and the way it has so many ramifications for choice, autonomy, fate etc in Malevolent verse. Anyway, I only like Arthur slightly (very slightly!) more than John, but this is the reason why he ultimately ranks highest for me.” (unfortunately, "the invisible hands of fate" don’t have a speaking role nor a name, so I forgot to include them in this poll)
> “I just love Kayne so much he’s so so silly and babygirl. I really want to edit all of his scenes together and make an animatic of it but whether I’ll ever have the time and motivation to do so remains to be seen. Have a wonderful day <33”
> “My all time favorite is Oscar, I was devastated when John convinced Arthur to cut him off 😭 I love me an unhealthy devotion 💜💜😅💜”
> “john John joohhnn :33 Hes my baby... i like this quiz and im glad i can give my girl anna some acknowledgment”
> “I wish I had thoughts that I could form together about Yellow other than 'HHHRRRSHSHHSHRSHJJJSHJJ' but, y'know. He's my favorite :] (perhaps you can tell because he's the only character I draw /lh) Which. Might be because I see myself in him a little but oh well”
> “GSHAUJRKTGWEYHSRGYHUJEGDHLBGERHSDGBVHKLRGBVHDSKBV”
> “(Prepare for a short rant lmao) I feel like Yellow is such a tragic character. He was never given the chance to develop into a better version of himself. Like, I love Arthur, don’t get me wrong, but the way he treated Yellow was FOUL. I understand why he treated him like he did, but he failed to remeber that John had a chance to better himself, he had time with Arthur to learn about the complexities of morals and humanity and how those two things intertwine and/or contradict. Hell, John had time with himself to think about his actions! Yellow was forcibly torn from the King in Yellow, expected to fit into Arthur’s version of what that fragment should be, and immediately treated with disdain when he couldn’t live up to that image. Anways, this is getting long now lmao. Thanks for reading if you got this far x”
> “Thanks for adding the cab drivers, they really do deserve our love” (They do! And Arthur’s money!)
> “100% in ordinately fond of Eddie. rip king you showed up for five minutes, threatened to kill a man who wouldn't let you in his apartment, is most well known for saying 'motherfucker', and has the most troubling CoC implications” (I am now very curious about the CoC implications Eddie has…..)
> “I love the butcher SM, he is so AUGH. HE IS SO. The music, the language the poetry the morals and motivation the music talk, his whole episode VXTIDRHSHFSRHSRUSUTDTUSUZR.”
> “I need a fourth option for favorite side character. It was hell picking between The Butcher and Yellew for the spot of 3rd favorite.” (Nope! Only three! You HAVE to pick >:D)
> “aghhhh i love john out of the two of them because he's my character that i project onto and whatever (he is SO trans and autistic coded and their relationship is so qpr to me i love it) but they are also a set. like. i love them together. do not separate.”
The Final Results:
>  Favorite character: Arthur, 106 votes
> Favorite side character: Kayne, 113 votes
> Second favorite side character: Collins/The Butcher, 54 votes
> Third favorite side character: Noel, 48 votes
> Favorite minor character: Lily (animal), 54 votes
> Second favorite minor character: Lily (animal), 30 votes
> Third favorite minor character: The Cab Drivers: 26 votes
Fun fact, but Collins, Kayne, and Noel have been battling for “Second favorite side character” for awhile now (as of writing, Kayne and Noel are both tied for second with 51 votes each). I do updates of the responses on discord every 100 votes, and most of the time the results stay the same, but Collins, Kayne, and Noel have been battling. I’m sure it wouldn’t be long until Kayne or Noel take first place for themselves.

How the internet works - Part 2
Ok, so I lied in the last part (which you can read here). The internet isn’t actually JUST made of files. It’s also made of… computers!
Tumblr media
See right there, behind Mr. Robot - that’s a server.
Of course, you can make a server on your laptop, too. It’s as easy as making a folder on your machine and calling it “Server”.
What a server literally is, is a bunch of computer memory that’s been set aside to hold all the files that make up a website. So you absolutely could host a server for your personal website on a regular laptop, just by setting some space aside in your computer’s memory to hold all your site’s files. But for larger websites, with more data/files to hold, you’ll need more memory than what your laptop has. That’s why large companies have specially dedicated server computers with beefed-up memory. And that’s what all those rows of giant beeping machines are in a company’s server room - just pages and pages of files, containing all the data the client needs to know to accurately render the site. Now you know, and the next time you watch Mr. Robot, you can feel ever-so-slightly more like you know what’s going on. :]
Ok, so to sum up so far: when you send the server a request to read and/or make changes to a website through the client, the server will then pull the relevant files from where it has stored them in its memory, and send them back to you.
So, let’s say I am browsing a particularly steamy Alpha/Alpha/Alpha/Omega mpreg fic on ao3 (hypothetically, of course). Now let’s say I am 36 chapters in (again, this is all hypothetical) and even though it’s past 2am and I have work tomorrow (THIS IS A HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION), I just need to know what happens next.
So, I send the server a request, saying: “hey server, please get me chapter 38.”
I guess the key question is: how does the server know where it keeps everything?
How does it find my exact files, chapter 38, instead of say, chapter 39, or even of another story altogether?
The answer to that is: with DNS!
DNS stands for Domain Name System. Basically, it’s a catalogue of file names.
The way memory is structured physically in a server is very similar to a Japanese apartment complex. Just hundreds of small, equally-sized and -shaped rooms, all stacked on top of each other in perfect order. Each apartment has its own address; its own unique set of letters and numbers that distinctly identify it from all other apartments - like 12B, or 14-304, or Unit 7. Each of these addresses follows a specific protocol, so that it can be identified by its order/position in the building. Otherwise, how would the Amazon delivery guy find your apartment??
Think of the server as an Amazon delivery guy, whose job is to send and receive packages. DNS is his catalogue of all the residents’ names, and their associated address. This way, when the server gets a request from the client asking for files from John Snow, the server can quickly check the DNS to find John’s address, so it can then get the files. And then John Snow (or google, or ao3, or whatever the website’s name is) can give the delivery guy an envelope (folder) containing all the relevant files to send back to the client, so that it can render them for you to see in your browser.
Once the server has received a request from the client, found the web page's address through DNS, and retrieved the relevant files from their location in memory, all that's left to do is send them back to the client!
Just like how the client talks to the server by sending an HTTP Request file, the server talks to the client by sending back an HTTP Response. An HTTP Response is a file that tells the client everything it needs to know about the files it's been sent, so that it can read and display them properly. Here's what that looks like:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Fri, 31 Mar 2023 02:47:18 GMT Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Server: ao3 Content-Length: 190532 <!doctype html> [...] <title>Chapter 38 - Omega Gets mPregnated</title> [...] <html>
Now, just like what we did with the request file in part 1, let's break down this response file into its parts so we can understand it:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
This first line is the status code.
You see, much like Amazon delivery, responding to HTTP requests is an imperfect process. All sorts of errors can crop up that prevent a server from sending back the right files. That’s why the server always starts its response with a status code, to indicate how things went on the server’s end. Different numbers indicate different results:
A status code in the 200 range indicates that the request was successful. Great!
A status code in the 300 range indicates that the request was redirected. So, let’s say you’re looking for Chapter 38 on ao3, but the author has decided to move the rest of the chapters to their personal website. When you request the files that are located at ao3/Chapter-38’s address in memory, the server will arrive at the address location, only to find a note on the door saying that Chapter 38 has moved from the ao3 wing to three floors up, to be with the rest of the personal websites. Since the new address is posted there for the server to see, it can simply redirect your request to the new address. So, you won’t end up at the same URL you requested, but you’ll still successfully get the same content. If a redirection happens, the server will send back a status code in the 300s to let you know that it redirected you to a different domain name than the one you typed into the search bar.
A status code in the 400 range indicates that the request failed due to an issue with the client or the client’s request. If there’s a typo in the link you searched for, or if you’re trying to view a page you don’t have authorization for, or if the link is hidden behind a paywall that you haven’t paid for, or if the link simply doesn’t exist at all, and other issues in this vein; you will receive a status code in the 400s to let you know.
A status code in the 500 range indicates that the request failed due to an issue with the server itself. Perhaps the elevator is broken, and you requested files from an address on the 100th floor. When the server is broken down or having its own issues that make it unable to fulfill your perfectly valid request, you will receive a status code in the 500s to let you know: it’s not your fault.
Now, those of you who are exceptionally curious might be wondering: why do status codes start in the 200 range? What about the 100 range?
Well to that I say: congratulations on being so clever, because you’re right - there are also status codes in the 100 range.
A status code in the 100 range is called an informational response. It indicates that the server is not finished responding yet; it’s just sending you an update.
I don’t know why, but I hardly see any information about 100 status codes in the resources I’ve been using for learning. I don’t know if this is because they’re less important, or just less common. Basically, there’s a lot I still don’t know, and 100 range status codes fall under that umbrella, which is why I mentioned them last. Good catch! ;]
Now, just like how all those information lines in the request file are called Request Headers, these lines in the response file:
Date: Fri, 31 Mar 2023 02:47:18 GMT Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Server: ao3
Content-Length: 190532
are called Response Headers. Just like Request Headers tell the server about the files it’s received, Response Headers let the client know all the relevant information about the files’ formatting, so that the client will know about the files it’s received. This can include the size of the file in number of bytes, what types of files are being sent, the time the server completed the request, the name of the server the files were retrieved from, Cookie information, and more.
The client, and by extension you, can learn a lot about the structure of the website you’ve requested by looking at the response headers.
Then, underneath all the information about the response, is finally the response itself!
<!doctype html>
If you’ve done any programming for frontend development before, you may recognize this next line. It’s the line that lets your client/browser know, “hey man, that’s all the metadata for you - everything from here on out is HTML and needs to be rendered to the screen.”
Once your client reads this line, it knows that everything underneath is the actual content it requested; the HTML, CSS, JS, and database information that it needs in order to render the website you want to look at to your screen. And now that it has this, it can finally do just that - and the work is done! At least, until your next request to get the site page for Chapter 39…
And that’s how the internet works! :D
Next time, I’ll cover Cookies and other forms of user authentication! But first, I have to learn it myself… :]

Luke 19:45 Then Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out the people selling animals for sacrifices. Luke 19:46 He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.” Luke 19:47 After that, he taught daily in the Temple, but the leading priests, the teachers of religious law, and the other leaders of the people began planning how to kill him. Luke 19:48 Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.
Luke 9:46 An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest. Luke 9:47 Jesus, knowing their thoughts, took a little child and had him stand beside him. Luke 9:48 Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”

Deranged and Destitute Dishonest Dementia Dummy donnie j. dump and Christianity in the United States of America Since 2017: Some interesting observations about the church attendance data chart:
Never attending church: Something drove people away from Christian churches from 2016 to 2020. It started 3 years prior to the COVID pandemic.
Weekly church attendance: Something drove people away from Christian churches from the beginning of 2016 to the end of 2017.
Monthly church attendance: Something drove people away from Christian churches from the beginning of 2017 to present.
What changed in 2016? Many evangelicals claim that their long-awaited Christian and Hebrew Messiah and His Army of Christian Angels finally arrived and were fighting godlessness in the United States on behalf of their God. If that's the truth, then why didn't the actual long-awaited Christian and Hebrew Messiah and His Army of Christian Angels pack Christians into churches instead of driving them away in droves? Did their long-awaited Christian and Hebrew Messiah and His Army of Christian Angels make America great by destroying Christianity at levels never before seen in America? What about American national health, jobs numbers, national debt, national security, family values, and Christian values between 2016 to 2021? How can a so-called "long-awaited Christian and Hebrew Messiah and His Army of Christian Angels" have an antichrist/satanic effect on Christianity if they're not antichrist servants and satanists?

In 399 BC, Socrates was formally accused of corrupting the minds of the youth of Athens, and for asebeia (impiety), i.e. worshipping false gods and failing to worship the gods of Athens. At the trial, Socrates defended himself unsuccessfully. He was found guilty by a majority vote cast by a jury of hundreds of male Athenian citizens and, according to the custom, proposed his own penalty: that he should be given free food and housing by the state, for the services he rendered to the city. In the alternative, he proposed that he be fined one mina of silver (according to him, all he had). The jurors declined his offer and ordered the death penalty.
Plato's Apology starts with Socrates answering the various rumours against him that have given rise to the indictment. First, Socrates defends himself against the rumour that he is an atheist naturalist philosopher, as portrayed in Aristophanes's The Clouds; or a sophist. Against the allegations of corrupting the youth, Socrates answers that he has never corrupted anyone intentionally, since corrupting someone would carry the risk of being corrupted back in return, and that would be illogical, since corruption is undesirable. On the second charge, Socrates asks for clarification. Meletus responds by repeating the accusation that Socrates is an atheist. Socrates notes the contradiction between atheism and worshipping false gods. He then claims that he is "God's gift" to the Athenians, since his activities ultimately benefit Athens; thus, in condemning him to death, Athens itself will be the greatest loser. After that, he says that even though no human can reach wisdom, seeking it is the best thing someone can do, implying money and prestige are not as precious as commonly thought.
Socrates was given the chance to offer alternative punishments for himself after being found guilty. He could have requested permission to flee Athens and live in exile, but he did not do so. According to Xenophon, Socrates made no proposals, while according to Plato he suggested free meals should be provided for him daily in recognition of his worth to Athens or, more in earnest, that a fine should be imposed on him. The jurors favoured the death penalty by making him drink a cup of hemlock (a poisonous liquid). In return, Socrates warned jurors and Athenians that criticism of them by his many disciples was inescapable, unless they became good men. After a delay caused by Athenian religious ceremonies, Socrates spent his last day in prison. His friends visited him and offered him an opportunity to escape, which he declined. (Wikipedia)

Constitutional Specificity:
trump v. Anderson, No. 23-719, 601 U.S. _ (2024), is a U.S. Supreme Court case in which the Court unanimously held that states could not determine eligibility for federal office, including the presidency, under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. In December 2023, the Colorado Supreme Court rejected former president Donald Trump's presidential eligibility on the basis of his actions during the January 6 Capitol attack, adhering to the Fourteenth Amendment disqualification theory. The case was known as Anderson v. Griswold in the Colorado state courts.
The Colorado Supreme Court held that Trump's actions before and during the attack constituted engaging in insurrection; their assertion is that Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment disqualifies presidential candidates who have engaged in insurrection against the United States. The Colorado Supreme Court's ruling in Anderson v. Griswold was the first time that a presidential candidate was disqualified from office in a state on the basis of the Fourteenth Amendment. The court stayed its decision until a ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court.
On January 5, 2024, the U.S. Supreme Court granted Trump's petition for a writ of certiorari seeking review of the Colorado Supreme Court ruling in Anderson v. Griswold on an accelerated pace; oral arguments were held on February 8, 2024. On March 4, 2024, the Supreme Court issued a per curiam ruling reversing the Colorado Supreme Court decision. All nine justices held that an individual state cannot determine eligibility under Section 3 for federal office holders, and that such power is conferred exclusively to the federal government. A majority of the court also ruled that only Congress can enforce Section 3: the courts (federal or otherwise) cannot therefore declare a candidate ineligible for office under the said Section 3 unless an Act of Congress explicitly grants them that power; four justices disagreed with the latter decision and expressed concern in concurrences that this ruling went farther than needed at the time. April 25th, 2024: The Criminal MAGA Insurrectionists SCOTUS judges Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice, Tamper with the 2024 Presidential Election, and Overthrow the U.S. Government.
Legal experts and analysts are already organizing on all media outlets and social media to rally Real Americans to call for Presiden Biden to add 4 to 6 Real American justices to SCOTUS. Once the six Real American justices are in place, all Real Americans need to do is vote in unstoppable Democrat majorities in the House and Senate to impeach and remove the six criminal MAGA insurrectionist SCOTUS judges in time for President Biden's inauguration. No matter what, the six criminal MAGA insurrectionist SCOTUS judges have already shown they're actively engaging in attempting to overthrow the U.S. government by annulling Section 3 of the 14th Amendment and illegally modifying the U.S. Constitution by judicial activism and insurrection instead of the majority of states agreeing to modify the U.S. Constitution as legally required; therefore, Real Americans and all sworn officials and officers of the United States must immediately support and defend the U.S. Constitution and the United States of America from all enemies foreign and domestic who've neutralized and destroyed the only constitutional safeguard protecting the U.S. constitution and the United States of America from being overthrown by foreign and domestic enemies.
Post-2024 Elections Timeline of the 119th Congress of the United States of America: Presiding President: Kamala Harris (at least until January 20, 2025) January 3, 2025: Newly-elected Congress scheduled to convene. January 6, 2025: Joint Session to count electoral votes and certify the 2024 United States presidential election. January 20, 2025: 60th Presidential Inauguration.
January 3, 2025 Impeachment of All Six MAGA Insurrectionist SCOTUS Judges: Inescapable Precedent and Reality: On January 28, 2024, House Republicans indicated their intention to move forward with two articles of impeachment against Alejandro Mayorkas, the United States Secretary of Homeland Security, alleging "willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law" and breach of the public trust. On January 31, Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee approved the articles along party lines for referral to the full House. A full House vote on February 6 to impeach failed to pass in a 214–216 vote, with four House Republicans joining the minority Democratic Party in voting against the impeachment resolution. Mayorkas was impeached in a second vote on February 13, on a 214–213 vote, with three House Republicans voting "no".
Article 1 of the impeachment alleges that Mayorkas "willfully and systematically refused to comply with Federal immigration laws". The article focuses on the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952. The act requires that migrants be detained while waiting for an Asylum decision.
Article 2 of the impeachment alleges that Mayorkas "breached the public trust" by lying to Congress and hindering the House Republican-led investigation into the Department of Homeland Security. Source: Wikipedia
What that means for the six MAGA insurrectionist SCOTUS judges is that all six of them could be fully impeached and removed before President Biden's January 20, 2025 inauguration. And per the Mayorkas impeachment precedent, all that's needed to succeed is a simple and easy one Democrat vote majority in both the House and the Senate. All six MAGA insurrectionist SCOTUS judges did "willfully and sytematically refuse to comply with the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution"; AND did "willfully and systematically interfere with and hinder the legal investigation and prosecution of connie j. chump"; AND did "willfully and systematically engage in interfering with the 2024 U.S. presidential election by attempting to betray the public trust and deny the public's interest in being briefed on the irrefutable evidence of the 91 felony criminal charges and 4 criminal indictments of the treasonous criminal defendent and insurrectionist, connie j. chump, in a timely matter prior to the 2024 U.S. presidential election." And as for the contested and misused Department of Justice "60 Days Prior to an Election Non-Prosecution/Actions" rule, that rule is merely guidance to avoid doing anything that would lead to an INDICTMENT, not a JUDGMENT, against a criminal investigation target; and because connie j. chump was already indicted in 2023, the "60 days prior" guidance doesn't apply to connie j. chump and his legal crisis leading up to the November election. Blessed is the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for battle, my fingers for warfare; Psalm 144:2 my faithful one, my fortress, my haven and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take shelter, who makes peoples subject to me. Matthew 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Matthew 4:2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. Matthew 4:3 During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. Matthew 4:6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “’He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” Matthew 4:7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. Matthew 4:9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Matthew 4:10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” Matthew 4:11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Strong's Concordance #1372 gabbachath: baldness in the forehead; by analogy, a bare spot on the right side of cloth -- bald forehead, without. Original Word: גַּבַּחַת
1 Thessalonians 4:13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 1 Thessalonians 4:15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
1 Peter 1:10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 1 Peter 1:11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. 1 Peter 1:12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. 1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 1 Peter 1:14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 1 Peter 1:15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 1 Peter 1:16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:17 Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. 1 Peter 1:18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 1 Peter 1:19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 1 Peter 1:20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 1 Peter 1:21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. God sent a man, John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John testified about him when he shouted to the crowds, “This is the one I was talking about when I said, ‘Someone is coming after me who is far greater than I am, for he existed long before me.’” From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. A recent tweet by the notable X account, Whale Chart, unveiled the top ten holders of BTC. At the forefront stands the enigmatic founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, with an astounding 1.1 million Bitcoins, valued at over $29 billion today. But who are the mysterious faces behind these crypto fortunes? Let’s delve into the notable list and find out whose absence in the list irked Deaton. World's Top 10 Bitcoin Holders 1️⃣ – Satoshi Nakamoto: 1.1 M BTC 2️⃣ – Grayscale: 643,572 BTC 3️⃣ – Binance: 498,147 BTC 4️⃣ – Bitfinex: 192, 508 BTC 5️⃣ – U.S. Government: 175,000 BTC 6️⃣ – Microstrategy: 152,800 BTC 7️⃣ – Block One: 140,000 BTC 8️⃣ – OKX: 118,334 BTC 9️⃣ – Robinhood:…— Whale (@WhaleChart) September 18, 2023 Here’s the list of Top 10 Bitcoin HodlersFollowing suit are influential asset managers Grayscale, Binance, and Bitfinex, collectively clutching 1,334,227 Bitcoin. Notably, the US government holds 175,000 BTC. Other major players like Microstrategy, Block One, OKX, and Robinhood also possess substantial Bitcoin holdings. The industry is shocked to see the mysterious figures like the Winklevoss twins in the Tenth Position, Cameron and Tyler, founders of the Gemini exchange, who own 70,000 BTC, equivalent to $1.876 billion. Since Gemini is still under SEC radar for its Earn Program it will be interesting to see how the market reacts to their bitcoin holdings. The Curious Case of Max KeiserProminent pro-XRP attorney John Deaton expressed surprise at the absence of Max Keiser, a well-known Bitcoin advocate, from the list of the top Bitcoin holders. Deaton wondered why Keiser, despite his early involvement with Bitcoin, didn’t make the cut. He acknowledged Keiser’s substantial impact on the crypto community and highlighted Keiser’s significant generosity with Bitcoin, especially during its nascent stage when its value was considerably lower. Looking at Keiser’s historical contributions, including giving away BTC when it traded at just $1, were underscored. Deaton speculated that Keiser’s absence from the top ten might be due to his philanthropic activities with Bitcoin. Earlier this year, Keiser had offered to gift 10,000 BTC to Alex Jones but expressed reservations as he believed Jones might not hold onto them. Understanding Bitcoin OwnershipKnowing who holds the most Bitcoin is crucial for several reasons. It provides insights into wealth distribution within the crypto market, a critical aspect of regulatory decisions and market predictions. While Bitcoin was designed to be decentralized, a concentration of ownership among a few entities challenges this principle. Understanding ownership distribution helps assess if the crypto market operates equitably and justly.!function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s) if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function()n.callMethod? n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments); if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n;n.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version='2.0'; n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0; t.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)(window,document,'script', ' fbq('init', '887971145773722'); fbq('track', 'PageView'); Source

As the old saying goes, money can’t buy you love — and it turns out it can’t buy you a presidential nomination either. The 2020 race for the Democratic nomination is a case in point. The winner of the nomination, Joe Biden, spent less than his chief rival — $108 million compared to the $200 million expended by Sen. Bernie Sanders. And in the crucial month of February 2020 before Biden won in South Carolina and captured the nomination days later on Super Tuesday — Biden had less money on hand than all the other candidates who qualified for the debate stage — $12 million. The 2020 Democratic nomination race also featured two billionaires — Tom Steyer, who spent $341 million of his own money and Mike Bloomberg, who spent $1.1 billion of his own money, which yielded very few convention delegates for either individual.
Steyer and Bloomberg are only the latest in a long line of would-be presidents for whom money did not buy love. Back in 1980, Texas governor John Connally spent over $14 million in the Republican primary and won only one delegate. Ronald Reagan captured the Republican nomination that year. At that time, Connally’s expenditure yielded the most costly delegate ever won until, four decades later, Bloomberg garnered only 31 delegates at a cost of over $18 million per delegate.
These caveats aside however, money is one of the easiest ways to judge how an individual candidate is doing in the invisible primary because the law requires candidates to report how much they raise and how much they spend each quarter after they have filed. And it’s fair to say that while having gobs of money may not matter — having “enough” money to get around and mount a campaign is critical.
So, let’s look at the 2024 field so far.
The following chart shows each candidate’s current campaign finance situation from the start of their campaign through the end of quarter two. It includes candidates who entered in the second quarter as well as those who entered in the first quarter. Biden and Trump maintain healthy leads in the money race — over $31 million for Biden and over $35 million for Trump. But Ron DeSantis, who didn’t formally enter the race until May, shows substantial amounts of money as well. All the totals shown in the chart include money raised directly by the campaign and money raised by joint fundraising committees. These committees allow the candidate to raise money jointly with political party committees or political action committees to share the costs of fundraising and split the proceeds.
Tumblr media
Besides the overall totals there are a few other things to look at when trying to interpret the meaning of campaign money. As in the rest of life, having money is important but budgeting is equally so. For instance, in Hillary Clinton’s 2008 race against Barack Obama, her campaign failed to budget for all the expensive primaries on Super Tuesday, and she found herself short on that crucial day and having to lend her campaign personal money. In contrast, the Obama campaign had put aside money for Super Tuesday; an important factor that enabled them to eventually win the nomination.1
As the first election day draws closer, cash on hand indicates a candidate’s ability to buy television, radio, and social media and to mount an effective get-out-the-vote operation, which is why the FEC report showing that Trump has spent $20 million on legal fees out of his campaign coffers is making headlines.
With his many court dates coinciding with the primary calendar, Trump may have to spend so much on lawyers that he won’t be able to mount much of a traditional campaign. However, early indications confirm that Trump is not your normal candidate. So far, each indictment seems to help him, not hurt him. Unlike all the others in the Republican primary, Trump is the one candidate who may not need to have cash on hand come the primaries.
At this stage of the invisible primary, low levels of cash on hand can also indicate that a candidate is weak because he or she is having to spend a lot of money to raise money. This explains the case of Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND). He made national news by offering anyone who contributed $1 to his campaign a gift certificate worth $20 — significantly cutting into his cash on hand.
Burgum’s offer extends only to the first 50,000 donors. That’s because to get onto the stage of the first Republican debate in August, the RNC has ruled that a candidate must have 40,000 unique donors. The Mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez, another long shot Republican candidate without national name recognition, offered front row tickets to watch soccer star Lionel Messi’s first game in Miami. All donors have to do to be in the pool is contribute $1. But Suarez hasn’t stopped at soccer. His super PAC is offering the chance to win a $15,000 scholarship in return for a $1 donation to his campaign. And most recently he took a page out of Burgum’s book and is offering $20 gift certificates for $1 contributions. Another long-shot, wealthy businessman Perry Johnson, is giving donors a free copy of his book for those who donate $1 — maybe not as appealing as a gift certificate or soccer tickets but something concrete for his supporters.
And, of course, there are the very rich, who in politics, as in life, are different from you and me. Vivek Ramaswamy has loaned his campaign a whopping $15 million; Doug Burgum loaned his campaign $10 million, and Perry Johnson has loaned his campaign $8 million. Among the not-so-rich, Marianne Williamson has loaned her campaign $241,000.
Two other highlights are worth noting. First is the amount of money raised by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — a conspiracy theorist with a famous name whose conspiracies are more attractive to Republican than Democratic primary voters. Proof is the fact that so far, a substantial portion of his money has come from people who previously only gave to Republicans.
We may never know whether this is because of a common ideology (anti-vaccination, for example) or whether it is to weaken Biden. Second is the paltry amount of money that former Vice President Mike Pence has raised. In fact, his money totals are so small that he may not qualify for the Republican debate stage in August, a stunning defeat for a former vice president of the United States.
Right now, the betting is that Biden and Trump will end up with their party’s nomination — but it won’t be because of all the money they’ve raised. The money is simply a reflection of the fact that sitting and previous presidents have wide networks of friends and supporters, enormous public profiles, and great fundraising lists. These beget money in politics, and they can’t be bought. But with the addition of widely televised primary debates has come a circularity to this process. Candidates must raise money to get onto the debate stage and they need to get onto the debate stage to create the large public profiles that beget money. And that is why the money race is such an integral but complicated piece of the invisible primary.

Kids and Crime
Wrongdoing in the USA; it is all around the news nowadays. You can't open a paper, sit in front of the TV or pay attention to the radio without hearing stunning accounts of shocking wrongdoings occurring all around the country. As per the reports, large numbers of these wrongdoings are being carried out by youngsters.
As a specialist in the security business, I have promptly become involved with all the hysteria encompassing the expansion in savagery and wrongdoing in this country. I prefer not to say it, yet in all actuality wrongdoing is great for my business and any flare-up or quantifiable expansion in wrongdoing assists with selling greater security frameworks.
In doing explore for this article, I ran over a few stunning and extremely amazing measurements on adolescent wrongdoing.
The accompanying measurements are totally taken from the 2006 Public Report of Adolescent Wrongdoers and Casualties arranged by the U.S. Office of Adolescent Equity and Wrongdoing Anticipation (OJJDP). As per the report, at present 1 out of 4 inhabitants of the US are under 18 years of age.
o Adolescent Courts dealt with 1.6 million misconduct cases in 2002 - up from 1.1 million out of 1985.
o The age at which most homicide casualties are probably going to be killed is 16 years of age, paying little mind to orientation.
o The quantity of adolescents younger than 18 being held in grown-up correctional facilities quadrupled somewhere in the range of 1990 and 1999.
o More than 8% of long term olds answered to have been in a posse, 16% have sold drugs and 16% have conveyed a handgun.
o The extent of females entering the adolescent equity framework for rough wrongdoings has expanded by 31% since the mid 90's.
o 5 out of 100 secondary school understudies remained something like once in the previous month because of dread of a school related wrongdoing.
That surely seems like an adolescent wrongdoing pestilence to me.
Recall everything that I said to you before I gave you the stunning measurements? Wrongdoing is great for my business.
At the present time, I likely have you right were I need. You are imagining that adolescent wrongdoing is widespread and seething crazy, correct?
As a stunning update that individuals' impression of reality can be totally slanted by the manner in which the public media presents ndlea office in lagos and data, look at the accompanying measurements that appear to contradict what the media would have us accept.
The insights are taken from a similar OJJDP report.
o The quantity of adolescent manslaughters in 2002 was 44% underneath the pinnacle year of 1993, and at its most reduced level since the mid 80's.
o In 2002, the quantity of murders by adolescents dropped to its most reduced level starting around 1984.
o The probability of adolescents being killed in 2002 was equivalent to in 1966.
o Both male and female understudies ages 12-18 experienced far less violations of savagery and robbery in their schools in 2001 than in 1992.
o In 2003, adolescents ages 12-17 were half as prone to be the casualty of a rough wrongdoing as in 1993.
o Somewhere in the range of 1994 and 2002, the quantity of murders including an adolescent wrongdoer fell 65% to its most minimal level starting around 1984.
o 6% of secondary school understudies said they have conveyed a weapon on school property in the beyond 30 days-this figure is down from 12% in 1993.
o Unlawful medication use by adolescents in 2004 was around 50% of that of the mid 80's.
Is it safe to say that you are amazed? I need to concede that I was really shocked by a portion of the measurements found in the OJJDP Report. Those darn measurements truly contradicted some common norms of what I had accepted and they really redirected the article I was anticipating composing.
John Quincy Adams could have put it best when he said; "Realities are obstinate things; and anything that might be our desires, our tendencies, or the directs of our interests, they can't modify the condition of realities and proof."
Reality is characterized as something that can be demonstrated to be valid, to exist, or to have occurred, at the end of the day a reality isn't an assessment. Consequently, the measurements given by the OJJDP report support specific realities. The truth of the matter is that the adolescent crime percentage in this nation is at the most minimal level since the mid 80's.
Obviously, data introduced in factual reports is not entirely clear. Measurements can be taken outside any connection to the issue at hand, slanted, revealed or introduced in manners that can be utilized to make a statement.
Take for instance, the principal measurement that I gave you: adolescent courts dealt with 1.6 million wrongdoing cases in 2002 - up from 1.1 million of every 1985.
I utilized this articulation, introduced it wrong and assembled it with other painstakingly picked measurements to cause you to accept that adolescent wrongdoing is wild.
Presently how about we consider this measurement which was taken from a similar report: the adolescent crime percentage in this nation is at the least level since the mid 80's.
At the point when you consolidate these two apparently restricting measurements, you will see an intriguing pattern. Adolescent wrongdoing is at its most reduced rate in many years, yet we are presently putting 45% a larger number of youngsters through the adolescent equity framework than we did in 1985.
What's going on in this country? Have we made it a wrongdoing to be youthful? Is it safe to say that we are a general public that presently rebuffs youngsters for conduct that was once discounted to energetic extravagance? Think back to your experience growing up. What number of moronic tricks did you pull off that could now land you in prison?
Amazing, nothing but business as usual. Detailing measurements in a manner intended to convince you and shape your perspective.
My point is basically this. You can't completely accept that all that you see or hear in the media. Similarly as wrongdoing is great for my business, it additionally sells papers and keeps individuals established before their TVs enduring vast advertisements.

Lesson #1.1: Book of Apostolic Acts in the Plan of GOD for all of Mankind
1.]  In the beginning GOD: The Maker of all things,       WHO is a personal agency working for       righteousness & joy in human history and       society, & WHOSE moral features are seen in       JESUS CHRIST the reconciler of men to GOD.
[Ro 1:19-20; Acts 14:17; 17:23-29; Ps 19:1-4; 2Co 4:6; Jn 1:9; 18]
   •  Romans 1:19-20 [Berean] ¹⁹ For what may be       known about GOD is plain to them, because       GOD has made it plain to them. ²⁰ For since       creation of the world GOD’s invisible qualities,       HIS eternal power & divine nature, have       been clearly seen, being understood from       HIS workmanship, so men are without excuse.
   •  Acts 14:17 | ¹⁷ Yet HE has not left HIMSELF       without testimony to HIS goodness: HE gives       you rain from Heaven & fruitful seasons,       filling your hearts with food & gladness.”
   •  Acts 17:23-29 | ²³ For as I walked around and       examined your objects of worship, I even found       an altar with this inscription:       TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.
Therefore what you worship as something       unknown, I now proclaim to you. ²⁴ The GOD       WHO made the world & everything in it is the       LORD of Heaven & Earth & does not live in       Temples made by human hands. ²⁵ Nor is HE       served by human hands, as if HE needed any-       thing, because HE HIMSELF gives all men life       & breath and everything else.
²⁶ From one man HE made every nation of men,       to inhabit the whole Earth; & HE determined their       appointed times & the boundaries of their lands.
²⁷ GOD intended that they would seek HIM and       perhaps reach out for HIM & find HIM, though       HE is not far from each one of us. ²⁸ ‘For in       HIM we live & move and have our being.’ As       some of your own poets have said, ‘We are HIS       offspring.’ ²⁹ Therefore, being offspring of GOD,       we should not think that the Divine BEING is       like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by       man’s skill and imagination.
   •  Psalm 19:1-4 | ¹ For the choirmaster. A Psalm of       David. The Heavens declare the glory of GOD;       the skies proclaim the work of HIS hands.
² Day after day they pour forth speech; night after       night they reveal knowledge. ³ Without speech       or language, without a sound to be heard, ⁴ their       voice has gone out into all the Earth, their words       to the ends of the world. In the Heavens HE has       pitched a tent for the Sun
   •  2 Corinthians 4:6 | ⁶ For GOD, WHO said, “Let       light shine out of darkness,” made HIS light       shine in our hearts to give us the light of the       knowledge of the glory of GOD in the face of       JESUS CHRIST.
   •  John 1:9 | ⁹ The true LIGHT WHO gives light       to every man was coming into the world.
   •  John 18:1-22 | ¹ When JESUS had spoken       these words, HE went out with HIS Disciples       across the Kidron Valley, where they entered       a garden. ² Now Judas, HIS betrayer, also       knew the place, because JESUS had often       met there with HIS Disciples.
³ So Judas brought a band of soldiers & officers       from the chief priests & Pharisees. They arrived       at the garden carrying lanterns, torches, and       weapons. ⁴ JESUS, knowing all that was       coming upon HIM, stepped forward & asked       them, “Whom are you seeking?”
⁵ “JESUS of Nazareth,” they answered. JESUS       said, “I am HE.” And Judas, HIS betrayer, was       standing there with them. ⁶ When JESUS said,       “I am HE,” they drew back & fell to the ground.
⁷ So HE asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?”       “JESUS of Nazareth,” they answered. ⁸ “I told you that       I am HE,” JESUS replied. “So if you're looking for ME,       let these men go.”
⁹ This was to fulfill the word HE had spoken:       “I have not lost one of those YOU have given ME.”
¹⁰ Then Simon Peter drew his sword & struck the       servant of the High Priest, cutting off his right ear.       The servant’s name was Malchus.
¹¹ “Put your sword back in its sheath!” JESUS said       to Peter. “Shall I not drink the cup the FATHER has       given ME?” ¹² Then the band of Soldiers, with its       commander & the officers of the Jews, arrested       JESUS & bound HIM. ¹³ They brought HIM first to       Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the       High Priest that year. ¹⁴ Caiaphas was the one who       had advised the Jews it would be better if one man       died for the people. ¹⁵ Now Simon Peter & another       Disciple were following JESUS. Since that Disciple       was known to the high priest, he also went with       JESUS into the courtyard of the High Priest.

TANAKH (Jewish Publication Society, Hebrew-English): Page 446: Deuteronomy 32:10 He found him in a desert region, In an empty howling waste. He engirded him, watched over him, Guarded him as the pupil of His eye. Deuteronomy 32:11 Like an eagle who rouses his nestlings, Gliding down to his young, So did he spread His wings and take him, Bear him alon on His pinions; Deuteronomy 32:12 The Lord alone did guide him, No alien god at His side.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Mark 6:1 Jesus left that part of the country and returned with his disciples to Nazareth, his hometown. Mark 6:2 When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed. “Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given him? What are these remarkable miracles he is performing?
Acts 3:1 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Acts 3:2 Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. Acts 3:3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Acts 3:4 Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” Acts 3:5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Acts 3:7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. Acts 3:8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. Acts 3:9 When all the people saw him walking and praising God, Acts 3:10 they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Strong's Concordance #132 admoni: from 'adam; reddish (of the hair or the complexion) -- red, ruddy. Original Word: אַדְמֹנִי
TANAKH (Jewish Publication Society, Hebrew-English): Page 606: 1 Samuel 16:11 Then Samuel asked Jesse, "Are these all the boys you have?" He replied, "There is still the youngest; he is tending the flock." And Samuel said to Jesse, "Send someone to bring him, for we will not sit down to eat until he gets here." 1 Samuel 16:12 So they sent and brought him. He was ruddy-cheeked, bright-eyed, and handsome. And the Lord said, "Rise and anoint him, for this is the one." 1 Samuel 16:13 Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers; and the spirit of the Lord gripped David from that day on. Samuel then set out for Ramah.
Mark 14:32 They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” Mark 14:33 He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. Mark 14:34 “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.” Mark 14:35 Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. Mark 14:36 “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” Mark 14:37 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour? Mark 14:38 Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Mark 14:39 Once more he went away and prayed the same thing. Mark 14:40 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. They did not know what to say to him. Mark 14:41 Returning the third time, he said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. Mark 14:42 Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!” Mark 14:43 Just as he was speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, appeared. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, the teachers of the law, and the elders. Mark 14:44 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him and lead him away under guard.” Mark 14:45 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Rabbi!” and kissed him. Mark 14:46 The men seized Jesus and arrested him. Mark 14:47 Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. Mark 14:48 “Am I leading a rebellion,” said Jesus, “that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Mark 14:49 Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.” Mark 14:50 Then everyone deserted him and fled. Mark 14:51 A young man, wearing nothing but a linen garment, was following Jesus. When they seized him, Mark 14:52 he fled naked, leaving his garment behind. Mark 14:53 They took Jesus to the high priest, and all the chief priests, the elders and the teachers of the law came together. Mark 14:54 Peter followed him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. There he sat with the guards and warmed himself at the fire. Mark 14:55 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death, but they did not find any. Mark 14:56 Many testified falsely against him, but their statements did not agree. Mark 14:57 Then some stood up and gave this false testimony against him: Mark 14:58 “We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this Temple made with human hands, and in three days I will build another, made without human hands.’”
In some Christian numerology, the number 888 represents Jesus, or sometimes more specifically Christ the Redeemer. This representation may be justified either through gematria, by counting the letter values of the Greek transliteration of Jesus' name. (Wikipedia)
