Early 1960s Ramsey Reformed Church Family Directory, Titonka, Iowa - 1.4
Dating the Directory:
5 - An obituary for "Weert Asche" that appears in the November 14, 1961, issue of the Mason City Globe-Gazette indicates that he died the previous Sunday (November 12th, 1961), with burial to take place at the Ramsey Cemetery.
12 - Seiler is written on the right of Miss Dawn Beenken's name to denote her marriage to Herbert ‘Herb’ Seiler. The April 17, 1962, issue of The Algona Upper Des Moines newspaper states that the couple was married on April 7, 1962, and that they will make their home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. A similar Seiler marriage announcement is included within the April 19, 1962, issue of the Kossuth County Advance newspaper. The April 25, 2008, issue of The Mason City Globe-Gazette newspaper includes a obituary for Herbert “Herb” Seiler; however, it incorrectly lists a marriage date of 1968.
74 - Rev. John E. Janssen served as pastor from June, 1961, to October, 1982.

there's something so terrifying about missing persons cases where they just go into the wilderness and never return. It's even scarier when their remains are found. It was just them and the elements, and the elements won

(You don’t have to post this, it’s the one time I nearly shit myself that’s related to the post)
I saw that post about not some people not really able to being to tell a wolf dog apart from a wolfy looking dog breed. I went to a Petsmart near me and I saw this dude walking with his Big Black dog that looked like a big long haired German Shepard. I had my mini golden doodle with me and I stopped to go ask the guy if my dog could get used to bigger dogs. The guy said sure and was friendly about it. I got closer to the dog and dead stopped because it was looking me right in the eye and looked like an uncanny valley German Shepard. When my dog went to say hello I grabbed his collar because as soon as my dog moved the Big dogs eyes dead locked on to my dog and got still. I nervously joked that his dog looked like a wolf dog. “Yeah he’s a lower mix, and he’s good with people but gets a little aggressive with other dogs!” I smiled at him, politely thanked him for his time and left the fucking Petsmart because that seemed like hell waiting to happen. Idk if it was truly a wolf dog or not, but it definitely was intelligent and had intense predatory instincts
Well that must’ve been quite an experience! It could’ve been a wolfdog, but I can’t say for sure. I probably would’ve done the same thing; the second another dog goes eerily still around mine I get out as soon as I can.
