I am a big ‘Steve and Eddie crossed paths in high school’ believer for one main reason.
Season 3, episode 7. Steve has just been drugged by the Russians, and tells Dustin this:
“How many times, Dad? I don’t do drugs. It’s only marijuana.”
By that statement alone, we canonically know that Steve smokes weed. And I can’t imagine that Hawkins is rolling (pun intended) in an array of high school-aged drug dealers. So Steve has probably purchased weed from Eddie.
Another important note, is that he says ‘how many times.’ Plural. Multiple. Steve has probably purchased weed from Eddie multiple times. And knowing that Eddie has a hidden spot where he likes to make his deals, it’s safe to assume that Steve has probably been there. Sitting where Chrissy sat. Having awkward small talk with Eddie. Having Eddie do something ridiculous to break the tension, equalize the social hierarchy with humor.
And they probably developed some sort of customer/dealer dynamic. Which means there’s a level of trust there, right? Keeping secrets (not ratting Eddie out), and remaining loyal (only purchasing from Eddie). So Eddie trusts Steve on a basic level. Which adds to the reason why he doesn’t cut Steve’s throat in the boathouse in s4. Dustin swearing on his mother helped sway his decision too, no doubt.
And sure, Steve could’ve bought weed from someone else. Fine. Whatever. But isn’t it more fun to think that they’ve interacted quite a bit before season 4?
Even if it’s just strictly business? ;)

LIGHT ACADEMIA
Requested by @stinkrascal and @leian-22
Starring Vladislaus Straud and Ulrike Faust
"Ms. Faust, have you even been listening to a single word I've said?"
Still the story of a college girl stumbling into the world of vampires, but this one's lusting over her rumpled literature professor who always has a pen tucked behind his unusually large and pointy ears.

i stand by that a better, more sensible, and more intriguing plot for TSATS would have been, instead of retconning literally everything:
Bob is dead (because he was very explicitly absorbed/killed by Tartarus Himself in House of Hades, alongside Damasen), and nobody is going into Tartarus to save him. He made his sacrifice and is gone. However. Remember how the Titans, including Bob, were just kind of kicking around for several years? Particularly. On a cruise ship full of mortals. And Bob happened to be kicking around in general for an extra year versus all the other Titans. And he mythologically sometimes has a mortal demigod son who partook in the Calydonian Boar Hunt (Dryas of Calydon). Yeah.
So turns out, Bob/Iapetus leaves behind a demigod (demititan?) child. And because Nico was pretty much his only friend, he named Nico his child's godfather. And while he's not being left in charge of the child, as a son of Hades and godfather to this kid, Nico is duty-bound to fulfill Bob's last will and go find this like 2 year old to make sure they're safe. So Nico has to undertake this very unusual quest (that raises many questions, such as "demititans are a thing?" and "DOES THIS MEAN THERE'S POTENTIALLY MORE-?!" and "SHOULD WE BE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS?") and is kind of freaking out because. He's the son of Hades! He's notoriously bad with living things, and animals, and definitely small children! Even if he does find this kid and assure they're safe, he is the last person who should be undergoing any kind of quest involving even potentially having to babysit. Fortunately, his boyfriend is the human embodiment of sunshine and calmness and good vibes, and also once helped a nymph give birth, so he feels Marginally More Confident in theoretical demititan babysitting and offers to come along on this Epic Journey of Figuring Out What In Hades' Name Is Up With This Demititan Baby Business.
Proceed with wholesome epic shenanigans quest of Nico and Will scurrying around trying to locate this random OP baby while Nico has an existential crisis about the nature of his powers because he doesn't want to let Bob down! Both for Hades Kid Honor Reasons and because Bob was his friend! But what if he's destined to fail this quest just because of who he is? Because he's simply not built for hanging out with the living/mortals? And Will reassuring him that He Will Probably Not Traumatize The Weird OP Titan Baby And It'll Be Fine, and simultaneously getting a peek into the weird other life Nico leads hanging out with immortals much more than the average demigod, which Nico considers his norm. Bonus shenanigans of both of them getting caught off-guard and culture shocked from where each other's respective worlds (Nico's mostly-immortal versus Will's mostly-mortal) cross over and learning to navigate those for each other - Nico finally starting to make some mortal connections and get glimpses at modern mortal American life, and Will trying not to get his brain literally incinerated while Nico's happily casually catching up with some of his old friends who happen to be literal gods.

OH ARTHUR BENNETT.. such a gorgeous and intriguing character. terribly burdened by a GRUESOME set of crimes, his light suffocated by a HEAVY century of GUILT. so tragic, so dark and broody, and yet PAINFULLY awkward in any social setting ever

I got a load of those fact acts stewing in my inbox, so I thought I'd post a bunch about our fave lil lady.. 🤸♀️
Alex is 10!
Her birthday is July 18th! 🥳
She recently grew some new teef, but now she has to wear a stinky retainer at night.
Her & Brodie have been staying in Fabian's watchtower for a few months now, he said he'd be home sooner cos he thought he'd get yeeted home asap but alas.. 🤭
Alex's mom Nylah died when she was five.
Aside from the odd fall out, her and Brodie are pretty close though! They like to do puzzles together or go off exploring when they have time.
Alex was born in Sulani like her momma, Brodie's from Selvadorada though - they usually flit between those two places but their house is technically in Sulani.
Despite being from Sulani, Alex is a poor swimmer at best and doesn't usually entertain the idea of submerging herself in water.. unless it's a bath 🙈
Alex and Brodie stay with Brodie's uncle whenever they visit Selvadorada, it's usually cos Brodie has a lot of work there as an archaeologist.
They've been all over the place for Brodie's work, but her fave was probably Moonwood Mill.. it was fun to explore! (yes she got in trouble for wandering off there too)
Her favourite pastime is exploring when she's been told to stay put... 😅
She's been to a few schools in the past, but she's mostly home schooled via tutors.
Her favourite subjects are science and geography!
Her favourite colours are orange and purple-.. and green and maybe blue too, and yellow-.. she can't pick.
Her fave snacks are brookies 🤤
She has no idea what she wants to be when she grows up.. at one point she wanted to be an acrobat in a circus but she lost interest when she fell off a balance beam and broke her arm - Brodie said she should probably pick something that didn't require so much grace and balance lmaoo 😅
Alex has had a few pen-pals in the past but they've usually fizzled out, she has a bad habit of losing their addresses too - blame all the moving!!
She could spend hours painting her nails and drawing lil pictures on em and stuff 💅
Really REALLY wants a pet rat but Brodie thinks they're gross so no deal-.. they move around too much for pets anyway.
Alex can't put her finger on it either, but there's definitely something up with Robin 🤨

honestly I don’t see till hallucinating mizi and/or ivan in round 7 because I believe that besides her grief, mizi saw sua in luka because luka inherently resembles sua much more than any other alnst character so he was able to perfectly provoke her in that way. like everyone loves to point out sua and ivan parallels but sua and luka parallels are being shoved right into our faces. their birthdays being one day apart, them covering each other’s respective songs, how they both acted when they were children, their feelings of hopelessness and indifference to everything that leads to obedience etc.
just like luka, sua has so much darkness locked inside of herself and away from mizi, it’s so apparent in the mizisua short animation, in sweet dream’s lyrics and in most of sua’s illustrations where mizi isn’t shown. sua’s also quite possessive and gets jealous, it’s not as excessive as luka but it’s there and intended.
it’s clear that sua could’ve ended up just like him but didn’t because of how different their loved ones impacted them.

Ming’s coercive control in My Stand-In (Ep 4)
First of all, and before saying anything else, I also wanted to say, I don’t know anything about psychology and I may make mistakes in this post when using some terms. If you know a better way of saying it, don’t hesitate to tell me. I’m still learning everyday.
The return of the prodigal son ! Ming was not too nice in episode 3, but he wasn't at his prime. In this episode we saw again how he is trying to regain the control in his relationship with Joe. Unfortunately, he lost it by the end of episode 3 when he drunkenly admitted his feelings for Tong to Joe, breaking up the poor man's heart at the same time. Joe decided to break up with Ming because of it.
However, Ming doesn't want to accept it and he decided to go to his workplace to threaten him. Ming has decided he is not going to listen to what Joe has to say because he must decide. He made his decision and he is going to stay with him, no matter what.
Firstly, he is using emotional blackmail again, by telling Joe it was his idea to ask him to move in and telling him now to move out, isn't really nice. His idea here is to put the guilt in Joe. The guilt trip was already used in episode 2.
When Joe didn't let him do it like he previously did, you can see how Ming felt cornered. Joe knows about Ming's crush for Tong and he wanted him to understand he is not a second choice. He tried to make Ming see how Tong will not be with him. Ming reacted with explosive anger and told him it's his personal stuff. Let's not forget in episode 2 how he told Joe that one of the two conditions to be together was that they never mess with each other's privacy. In this episode, he wanted to dismiss Joe's accusation by reminding him of this.
However, this time it didn't work because Joe was set on stopping this relationship. So Ming again used threat to force Joe outside of the workplace and make him go back in the house where he can persuade him more easily. The evidence being that in Joe's work there are too many people who can intervene, such as Sol or Wut.
When Joe came back home, he tried to use verbal abuse. It is shown in a delivery of a statement intended to frighten him when he told Joe, he will never find a better boyfriend.
Since it didn't get him what he wanted, he tried a form of positive reinforcement. Ming apologizes and showed a vulnerability he always tried to hide. He asked Joe to start again so they can go back to what they were before Joe asked for a break up. He wanted to bring back the memories of their “happy time” and he also did some love bombing by asking him about this love Joe has for him. This time Ming got close to Joe and hugged him. The intimate embrace is also a way of showing what he wants to get again from Joe.
But when everything failed, Ming decided he can use physical aggression and lock Joe. I'm amazed about how he did it without thinking twice. He also made sure to bring Joe somewhere else so no one would find him. Is Ming really aware of how possessive he is and how unhealthy it can be?
But in the end, it's fascinating to see how Ming can't really understand his own feeling for Joe. Does he love him or does he care for him because it's the first person who truly gives him everything, just like his sister? This is so different from what he has with Tong. It is also because he doesn't really love Tong… He idolizes him. It's this fantasy he created in his mind while Joe is real. Ming doesn't know what to do and he lost Joe before really processing all of this.
