✦ ALBEDO. [ kreideprinz ]

you’re awoken by the feeling of a cold breeze caressing your skin, and as you grasp for his familiar figure, you realise albedo’s not beside you anymore. but before you can freak out, his soft voice calls to you from behind you, “good morning, dove. don’t move, i’m almost finished.” “finished with what?” you query, deciding to obey him and stay still. he doesn’t answer at first, but you can hear a faint scratching sound which almost sounds like charcoal against parchment. “and… done.” you shift in the bed, turning around to face him. albedo looks almost ethereal in the early morning light, especially when he smiles at you like you hung the stars in the sky. “i do hope you don’t find this peculiar, but i wanted to draw you while you were asleep. you looked so peaceful, and i wanted to immortalise this moment.” he hands you the paper, strands of wheat-coloured hair spilling over his shoulders, let loose from his usual half ponytail. you’re the only one who gets to see him like this, messy and imperfect instead of the flawless scientist he portrays to the rest of mondstadt. you gaze at the drawing, absorbing every detail as you try not to faint from what a sweet gesture this is, “albedo, this is amazing! you made me look so pretty.” he tilts his head quizzically, raising an eyebrow, “what do you mean? i just drew you exactly how i see you – you’re always beautiful to me.”

✦ CYNO. [ judicator of secrets ]

cyno's skin looks almost golden in the sunlight filtering through the translucent curtains. you're lying on your side, gazing at him and just admiring his features when his red eyes flutter open and he murmurs, “i might have to charge you for looking so much.” his voice is rougher than normal, deepened by sleep and it makes heat rush to your cheeks. “morning, babe-ah!” you can barely get out your greeting before he's pulling you back into his embrace, strong arms wrapping around you as he nuzzles into your neck. “cyno!” you laugh, turning around to face him, “stop it, i'm hungry! i wanna go get breakfast-” “hi hungry, i'm cyno,” your boyfriend looks at you with the most deadpan expression, and you're momentarily stunned. then you groan and throw a pillow at his head, “you're so lame!” “i'm not so lame, i just told you i'm cyno- okay, okay, i'll stop!” you collapse into a fit of giggles right as you're about to pummel his chest, “lamest ever.” “mmm,” cyno mumbles, eyes already fluttering shut again as he feels your plush warmth against him, “i'll make you breakfast, i swear, but can we just stay like this for a little longer?”

✦ KAEDEHARA KAZUHA. [ scarlet leaves pursue wild waves ]

the first thing you see when you wake up are kazuha's crimson irises laser-focused on you. the way his eyes scan your features, it’s almost like he’s tracing every detail to commit to memory, as if every morning that he wakes up next to you could be his last. “kazu? what's-” you're interrupted by a yawn, and your boyfriend's gaze softens as he looks at you. as you brush his red-streaked hair out of his face, he leans into your touch, almost cat-like in the motion, “what is it, 'zuha?” “i was just thinking... you make me glad to be a poet,” a gentle smile graces his features. “what? why?” despite the fact that kazuha is always letting praise fall from his lips like jewels, you didn't even remotely expect his answer. “because it means i'm lucky enough to be able to properly convey how you make me feel, and how gorgeous you are,” kazuha presses a sweet kiss on your forehead, then his brow furrows slightly, “but i don't think there's enough words in the world for me to speak about what you mean to me.”

✦ SCARAMOUCHE. [ kunikuzushi ]

when scaramouche wakes up, his first thought is; why does my entire body hurt? eyes still half-lidded and drowsy, he looks down and he's met with the sight of your back pressed against his torso, his arm thrown carelessly over your waist. he scrambles backwards, eyes widening with shock, and his sudden frantic movement wakes you up too. “what are you doing in my bed?!” “what the hell, scara?” you mumble, rubbing away the sleep from your eyes, “it’s too early for you to be this loud.” scaramouche’s heart is beating a million times a minute, and it’s only exacerbated by how cute you look when you’re this sleepy, not that he’d admit it to you for the world. but as you yawn and sit up, he thinks that he’s going to go into cardiac arrest. “you didn’t answer my question!” you give him a weird look, “we slept together. again. duh.” the blanket wrapped around your figure slides off a little as you reply, revealing your bare shoulder and giving him the faintest glimpse of your chest, and scaramouche’s face turns so red you genuinely think he might explode. “c-cover yourself up!” he scolds, clambering closer to drape the fabric over you again as his mind works through the haze of sleep, letting the memories of last night flood back.

realising how flustered he is, you take this as the perfect opportunity to tease him, “it’s nothing you haven’t seen before.” “shut up.” he replies curtly, but he hesitates as his fingers skim over the bite mark on your collarbone. his eyes darken slightly as he recalls last night, the messy kisses that were more tongue than anything else, his teeth nipping at your neck and finally sinking into your skin, all to mark you as his. you’ve both never officially decided what the two of you are, but you both know that he’s yours and you’re his, and scaramouche doesn’t like sharing. a playful smirk curves your lips, “remember giving this to me?” “don’t test me,” he mumbles, eyes roving over your exposed skin. his gaze dips to the still slipping blanket, hands ceasing their rapid motion to try and rescue your modesty, “i might give you more.” your arms loop around his neck, pulling him back down to the bed as you smile teasingly, “so do it.” “you’re a bad influence,” scaramouche groans, hands already moving to grip your hips, and you laugh, “that’s why you love me~”

✦ SHIKANOIN HEIZOU. [ analytical harmony ]

“good morning~” heizou's lilting voice is the first thing you hear when you wake up, and his trademark smile is already on his idiotically kissable lips as the two of you lie next to each other in his bed. “you do this with all the criminals you catch?” you drawl, trying to ignore how your heart skips a beat as you see the way his green eyes twinkle in the light. “just the ones i think look best in a different type of handcuffs,” he replies smoothly without missing a beat, smirk deepening as he notices he's left you speechless. “plus,” his hand trails across your cheek, thumb stroking your skin for a split second before his smile turns devilish, “it'd be pretty hard for me to get them to the police station if i left them all unable to walk.” “ugh, heizou!” you swat his shoulder, and bury your face in the pillow as he bursts into laughter. “but seriously,” heizou taps your shoulder gently, almost hesitantly, and you peek up from the pillow to look at him. a soft pink blush dusts his cheeks, and his eyes flicker away from yours in a manner that seems almost shy, “you're the only person i'd do this with, criminal or not.”

✦ XIAO. [ vigilant yaksha ]

waking up next to you is like a little slice of heaven for xiao. he can barely believe that he, the corrupted conqueror of demons, is able to share a bed with a mortal who borders on angelic. you shift in xiao's embrace, tucking your head under his chin almost instinctively as your eyes open slowly, “good morning, xiao. did you sleep well?” he still gets embarrassed by your proximity, so his voice is a little curt as he responds with a pink blush darkening his cheeks, “adepti do not require sleep.” “ah…” you roll your eyes, but pounce on the opportunity to fluster him, “guess that's why you always want to go all night, hm?” “i-!” xiao's face turns an almost delightful shade of crimson and he looks away, “no respect for the adepti.” “not true!” you gasp with mock offense. cuddling up against him, you stick your tongue out, “i respect alllll the adepti. but my boyfriend? maybe not so much.” “you'll be the death of me,” xiao sighs, pulling you impossibly closer. “then i hope you'll die a happy man,” you giggle, threading your fingers through his jade hair. xiao's eyes slide shut from the feeling of you playing with his hair, and he murmurs a response that leaves you speechless, “after a life with you? certainly.”

Know that I am going to get pretty serious here, as this post is about Punkflower. I am going to talk about the age situation, the blatant racism ABOUT this ship, and to also talk about the ship itself*. There is also some talk about the shippers/non-shippers + Punkflower antis in general.

[*nothing negative! just like.. discussing it as a whole, because everybody needs to be aware of some important things. the shippers, non-shippers/people on neutral ground, AND the haters/antis.]

There is a BIG wall of text incoming, but all of it is organized to its very best at what I could do!! I first wrote this in docs, I did my best to make it not a whole chaotic mess to read through. It's a big post, but there's a lot of spacing and some text is coloured, so it will be very easy to read.

This is a very detailed and THROUGH post, so it is slightly recommended to read on computer for the best viewing experience.

[It's not needed as you can still just read on your phone/etc, I do want you lovely people to have the best viewing experience possible.]

punkflower talk/analysis(?) + talking about Hobie’s age

This entire post is a discussion of various things, of my own thoughts and opinions! Some of the talk is about the posts + comments I have seen other people say about this ship [mainly questioning and worried ones.] All of the pieces of information that I knew were scattered, so I wanted to gather all of what I could find, and put it in a singular post for those still worrying.

[Also where others can actually just refer to this post and just read thru here first, instead of having to spend a lot of time going through the Punkflower tag to desperately find info!]

I would have gotten this finished and posted days ago, but you know, usual IRL things slowed me down, and I had to spend my day in the ER yesterday, lol.. I’m okay as of now! Just have to take it easy, but I really did want to finish writing my ass off with this post, since I know it’s important to me and for many others out there.

Take your time to read through this, and please absolutely feel free to add any of your input/extra knowledge/anything that I should add onto this post. I, godunforgiving, am on a mix of a positive + neutral ground on the topic of shipping Punkflower. I absolutely adore the comic!Punkflower, and I am fond of ATSV!Punkflower with the way I view it. Reason why I said neutral, know that I am not against the ships by any means!! But I guess why I say that is because there wasn’t a lot of canon media to consume [ATSV!Punkflower], and I want more [Also note that I have NOT seen the movie yet.] I don’t usually ‘do’ shipping when it comes to various franchises, I guess it’s mainly just not my thing? But I do know that I’ve come to like Punkflower.

I do not ‘do’ discourses, nor do I intend to actively join them! This is my first time doing something like this / this being my first ‘discourse’, yet I hope for it to be my last. I made this post with the pure intention to help the Punkflower shippers. Do know that!! I know that many people do not like the topic of discourses, but this one and the problems I’ve seen revolving around Punkflower, I just have to say something. Bc idk if anybody else is going to [with the way I did this post], considering the mess that occurred days ago, but someone has to and has to do it properly.

I am autistic, so I may process words + information differently, or even ‘incorrectly’. So if a sentence doesn’t make sense, due to perhaps my misuse of grammar, etc, please do not hesitate to ask/reach out, and I can do my best to re-explain it to you.

let’s get started with an introduction.

“what is Punkflower?”

Punkflower is a slash [aka queer] relationship between two black male teenagers, Hobie Brown and Miles Morales. Usually, it is perceived a romantic relationship, as some other people only see the pairing as a platonic duo and such. I do not know more forms of Punkflower, but I will use the 'main' two forms in this post. Comic![SG!]Punkflower [SG is Spider-Geddon, a comic series first released on Sept 2018], and Across the Spider-Verse aka ATSV!Punkflower.

Think of it as the same ships with the same characters, but in different fonts.

Comic!SG!Punkflower has existed for nearly 5 years now, likely first existing sometime in late 2018 to early-mid 2019. Both Miles and Hobie are very close in age in the comics, at around 16 to 17 years old. Away from Spider-Geddon(?), but still on the topic of comics, Hobie is still 16-17 in the comics.

“people are saying Punkflower is a problematic ship!”

The main [and probably only] source of this misinformation, is from a clip that was cropped to be posted with the intention of spreading heavy misinformation (We will get into that next.) So, as far as I am aware, and know; Punkflower antis are throwing around p/do allegations, because they hate the ship and they are outraged with people enjoying it. This hate is clearly rooted with racism, and homophobia. So, no, Punkflower is not a minor x adult ship!

“the interview talk, what happened, and what is actually real?”

If you’ve watched the interview, you can easily see that they were talking about the brainstorming process of developing Hobie's early ideas for his character. A director mentioned that in the early concept stage, Hobie was originally going to be 19-20 [This wasn’t even our Hobie, but Prowler Hobie.]

A person cut a very small clip of the mentioned interview, and uploaded it, a clip that was EXTREMELY out of context.

The uploader cut out the part explaining that Hobie’s ‘original’ age had changed as his character was being developed.

So from this, and no context given, a lot of people were instantly quick to hate; since it was on purpose to make the entire ship, AND those who enjoyed the ship, look extremely bad. What happened was not okay, yet this disgusting behaviour is at an attempt to be justified [and those people are trying to justify literal racism and homophobia.]

“19-20 thing that the directors mentioned were Hobie’s early designs ideas but those eventually changed as his character changed. Even one of the directors said its up to interpretation plus even his VA was all hinty towards Gwen and hobie so honestly its up to you what his age is" - comfortingnightmare

As soon as the clip came out, I had started to see a number of people saying that, apparently, Hobie looked like he was in his 20s to his 30s** (while also throwing subtle/discreet hits towards the Punkflower ship), but this was after the clip came out.

**Literally saw someone on Tumblr say that he looked like 28, and trying to shut down the idea of Hobie being a teenager. Like be completely serious with me right now..

Things don’t quite add up here. This was because of WHAT Hobie only looked like, and now it just has to be racially motivated, as there are no solid explanations or reasonings for their behaviour and disgust. Those people just look bad [as they should.]

So, no, Hobie is not 19-20. Another director had confirmed that Hobie’s age is UP TO INTERPRETATION.

[TLDR; The interview got taken completely out of context from a clip that made people start throwing SERIOUS accusations left and right.. Since more people actually later found out that the clip was taken out of context [instead of doing research], the situation died down, but people are walking on eggshells now. The haters were being desperate likely because Punkflower is a black queer/mlm relationship, since there is no solid explanation for this hating.]

“So.. what can we interpret Hobie’s age as?”

That is where I come in! I have many reasons that can help you decide what Hobie's age is to you. And those many reasons are speculated on Hobie's age being 16-17, as many users already guess that Hobie's age is equivalent to a teenager's age. I also believe this idea, as there are many things that already support this thought process.

[But if you like.. (god, I hope nobody does) go through this list and conclude that Hobie is 18+ and continue to ship that Hobie and 15 yr old Miles (or any of the minors).. GTFOH.]

1. Hobie Brown in other media (I’m talking about the comics for instance) is commonly shown for Hobie to be a teenager at either 16 or 17 years old.

“Hobie is in fact labeled as ‘badmouthed teenager’ since 2014 and is 16-17 in the comics and that just because he doesnt have a confirmed/canonical age in ATSV, hes still in the age range of a teenager (16-18)" - luvvnobo

2. Topic of the spider-bite.

ATSV!Hobie is likely to be 16-17 years old (18 at the latest), meaning that he would have been bit at the ages of 13-15. So IF Hobie was bit 3 years ago / at 14 years old, then he would be 16-17.

Realistically, this really could have happened, considering Hobie’s living conditions! [aka what led to Hobie getting bit by a radioactive spider in the comics.] If he indeed gets bit at 14 years old (like how Miles and Gwen got bit at that age for example), then either 16 or 17 yrs old.

Again, with how he lived; if he got bit at 13 = 15-16 years old in crrnt events of ATSV. [If you don’t know of Hobie’s conditions, in the comics I’m pretty sure he, like, basically lived on the streets as a homeless teenager]

“During the "Spider-Verse" storyline, the Earth-138 version of Spider-Man is revealed to be Hobart Brown, originally operating as Spider-Punk. He is a homeless teenager who was transformed by a spider that was irradiated as part of President Norman Osborn's toxic waste dumping.” - Spider-Punk: Wikipedia

The topic of the bite / needing to know if Hobie was (x) age when he got bit, isn’t very serious, as he is already grouped with 3 kids.

3. It would be unlikely (and also weird) for a four man crew to be 3/4 teenagers and 1 adult;

WHILE ALSO implying that the mentioned ‘adult’ and one of the mentioned teenagers could’ve had something going on. [Even if nothing really happened (keyword = implying), and how Pavitr treated it in that way, implies that Hobie isn’t that much older than the three.] [I would have kept this reason combined with the Spider bite topic aka reason No.2, since it’s actually referenced off of pastelnightgale’s post, just that this paragraph alone is solid enough as a separate reason.]

4. Hobie’s mannerisms.

Note, I haven’t seen the movie, but I have seen many clips. From those clips, he’s definitely a teenager at least, it made me feel like Hobie was 16 or 17 years old. I’ve asked two of my brothers; they said that he definitely was their age [both being 17.]

5. If you look up “how old is hobie brown”

You will already see many people speculating that Hobie is likely to be around the same age range as Miles and Gwen [if not a bit older.]

Again, Hobie is already 16-17 years old in the comics.

“in the spiderverse, we have seen that it is common for most spiders (gwen and miles specifically) to get bitten around 14. hobie states he’s been spider-man for three years, meaning he’s most likely 16-17." - artisan-is-bored

6. “Like if Hobie is really 19+ then why is it only a problem with Punkflower?? Wouldn’t the whole love triangle thing be a problem????" - saltylemonade13

Yes. It would be a SERIOUS problem. It also would make the other ships [Chaipunk, others with minors in them] very problematic and illegal ships. But Hobie isn't 18+.

7. Ageing down process happening to various characters in Spider Verse, and Hobie non affected?

If Gwen and the other spiders are aged down in Spiderverse, then it doesn’t make sense that Hobie was not aged down like the others.

8. Hobie literally hangs out around teenagers.

If an adult is constantly hanging out with other children, then that obviously would be the first problem. I wouldn’t really need to keep talking any more about this one. Because if a 19-20 year old was spending a majority of his time around young teenagers, ages ranging 15 through 17, and not really with anybody else his age or above, then yes, that’s already weird.

9. Genetics do not matter within age.

This is one of my most common quotes by now. Hobie is indeed very tall at almost 6 ft, yes. No, it does not mean that he is above 18+ years old. Hobie can be over 6 ft tall and still be 16-17 years old.

I have seen so many teenagers at drastically different heights, but still be the same age. Many of them being over 6 ft [180 cm], and still being in my age range, and having met a 5’10” 8th grader [aka 13 yrs old] years ago. Both of my previously-mentioned brothers are 6 ft and over 6 ft, yet they are only 17.

10. “how do i tell them Punkflower has been a thing since 2018 or 2019 and they have interacted in the comics (they are close in age)" - luvvnobo

11. “He has to be an adult, because he goes to pubs!!” Let’s be absolutely HONEST here.

“dude is BFF’s with the Riri of his universe, she can probably whip up a fake ID in no time and even if Riri isn’t in the Spiderverse, he still gets around and knows people. he’s definitely cool with someone who makes fake ID’s." - bellamer

What bellamer said. To add onto this, a pub is different from a BAR as well.

If you look up “what is a pub vs bar” your first result will be this.

To also add, all bars in England aren’t considered pubs.

“If you’re 16 or under, you may be able to go to a pub (or premises primarily used to sell alcohol) if you’re accompanied by an adult. However, this isn’t always the case. It can also depend on the specific conditions for that premises. It’s illegal to give alcohol to children under 5." From the official GOV of the UK website

But literally, let’s be honest here, Hobie would already know at least one person who will help him get in a pub, if he cannot do so himself. If Hobie is constantly going to pubs, then that does not mean he is getting drinks 24/7 when he is there, unless stated otherwise. Pubs focus on serving food and to give drinks [upon request] to go along with the meal.

Before 1995, children under the age of 14 were NOT allowed in pubs in England and Wales. And Hobie is definitely by no means 14. He is likely 16, or 17. He can already drink, with adult supervision, at 16 in pubs. But we know that Hobie is no law-abiding Spider-man.

12. “Hobie wouldn’t be able to own his own place!”

“it’s a key part of hobie’s comic backstory that he used to be homeless. once again, the breaking the law point still stands. wouldn’t be surprised if hobie bought an apartment with a fake ID, was squatting, or was staying in some sort equivalent of the community center that he used as his main group’s operation headquarters in the comics.” - artisan-is-bored

I do not think that another director/anybody who worked on the movie will come out and say that Hobie is actually 18+ at this point. I CAN be wrong in the future, but right now, he is not, and there are my reasons for why I strongly agree with the idea of Hobie being a teenager.

ALTHOUGH, even IF a director comes out and says that ATSV!Hobie is actually 18+, obviously all of the ATSV!ships with him and the other minors should STOP RIGHT NOW. But as of now [06/13/23 (when I first wrote this)], and from what we already know, I do not see anything wrong with ATSV!Punkflower and my views.

The racism revolving Punkflower is disgusting.

I’ve seen a lot of people bashing Punkflower when the whole misinfo-hobie-being-19/20-situation occurred, but ONLY with Punkflower [from what I’ve seen.] I didn’t see any of this happening to the other ships that Hobie is in / shipped with Gwen, and Pavitr.

I have not seen any, quite literally nobody, complaining about any other ship that isn’t Punkflower, and it’s insanely overwhelming and confusing?? People don’t complain when it comes to Hobie x Gwen, but if it’s with two queer black boys? Huge problem all of a sudden.

IF it’s a piece of information that could be misinformation revolving around Punkflower or Hobie Brown, or anything, DO find out if it is real or fake asap!

I’m using a method that I remember from my elementary school that was constantly talked about [can’t believe I’d bring it up in a post about a ship years later], however it really does pay out and work anywhere else tbh. The “Stop, Think, Act method”.

STOP = Pause, if it distresses you; then take a breath to calm down, avoid doing anything on impulse aka don't do anything without thinking carefully beforehand.

THINK = Instead of the “what is the problem, what are the options, best path forward?” in the method itself, we will reuse this but change stuff up that can apply directly to this post. So after stopping and calming down, we will think carefully and review what we already KNOW. If it’s where the piece of information is easily seen/known as misinfo, then you are good. If the piece of misinfo is affecting something that we already know, then we move onto the next step.

ACT = “Proceed with the best option. Act carefully, and revise if needed.” The best option forward from thinking, is to do research, and make sure that it is actually real, and not misinformation with lies laced within. IF it is indeed misinformation, then it is the best to alert others, with proof.

If you are thinking “But why even mention that method??” The best example to use this method is with the age discourse blowup. A LOT of people believed in the misinformation very, very fast. What should’ve happened is that the mentioned method should’ve occurred early, to help prevent most of the freak out and its damages. But many users may not have thought of that, or even know the method, so it is okay. At least it calmed down a lot as of now, just that people are now likely afraid.

[Note; I am NOT blaming anybody!! I also freaked out a bit too, but I stuck to what I already knew, until I found more information. At first I heard “Hobie is 19-20!!!!” I figured that it must’ve been misinfo through what I already knew, because adding all of what I knew and this uproar of info, it just didn’t add up from what I alrd knew. but I still researched and did my homework!! Just that more people should naturally second-guess things that they are suspicious of and also be aware of that method and to apply it online, as it is already useful in real life!]

Wrapping this post up, finally.

It’s sad to see different Punkflower fans fight each other. But it’s also outrageous and annoying to see the plat!Punkflower shippers, who see Miles and Hobie strictly in a brotherly relationship, to throw the term ‘!ncest / pseudo-!ncest’ against the romantical Punkflower shippers.. Like holy shit, that doesn’t make you any better. Can people, please, stop throwing serious accusations against other people so nonchalantly?

These accusations are SO serious and life changing, even if it's pointed at the wrong person. But people are just too ignorant to realize that unfortunately.

Wildest Dreams || Loki x Reader || 18+

Hellooooo everybody this is the insight into the fic that I shall be hopefully really proud to post! I'm going to post the prologue for you to read in this, let me know your theories in the comments and reblogs about what might be going on <3 I'll be setting up a taglist for this as well so please do tell me if you want to be tagged!!!

PROLOGUE

A golden castle always came to you in a dream, surrounded by beautiful gardens and bluer skies than you’d ever seen on Earth before. There were so many colours in the sky, so many beautiful reflections in your paradise that you could never find in your dull life on Earth. The greenest grass beneath your feet felt softer than any of the grass you’d ever felt before. The gentle breeze seemed to have a faint sense of magic if anyone would believe it as it brushed your hair away. This dream was your paradise, your little getaway from the boring, grey reality you lived in.

Waking up was the worst part of your day, leaving your little slice of paradise hidden away in a dream to return to the Real World. Sitting up in bed, you savoured those extra moments of drowsiness before swinging your legs over the side of the bed and rising to meet the day. After a shower and your hair and skin routine, you started to feel more like yourself but your mind lingered on the beauty of your dream as you counted the coins that would buy you your morning coffee down at your favourite shop a few blocks away.

You grabbed your keys from the dish by your apartment door and headed out into the world, turning the key in the lock before walking away. Stepping out onto the street, you were met with the usual bustle of London and quickly joined the crowd, head low and avoiding any kind of interaction with any other human being. It wasn’t far to the coffee shop but it was far away enough that your mind drew back to your dream, your walk becoming autopilot.

As you thought about the golden palace walls from your dreams, you heard a horn and felt a strong arm grab you around your waist, pulling you close and away from danger. Shocked, you froze as the car zoomed past, a faint ‘watch where you’re going, numpty’ being thrown out of the window with no care for stopping.

“Are you alright?” came a voice from beside you, startling you away from your thoughts and you stared up in shock at the man holding you, the man that had just saved your life. His eyes were a beautiful emerald green, his ebony hair reached his shoulders in beautiful curls and his suit. His suit. A simple one yet the green and gold accents all about it complimented him so well that you couldn’t imagine anyone else wearing such an expensive suit. “Hello?” the man asked, gaining your attention yet again and you startled when you saw a smirk form on his lips as your cheeks heated up with embarrassment.

“Sorry,” you replied instantly, pushing away from the man in a hurry, brushing your clothes off then offering him a polite smile, “thank you, for saving my life. Nobody else would’ve done it.”

The man chuckled, bowing his head as his shoulders shook with his amusement. You grimaced, not appreciating this man laughing before you as you assumed he was laughing at how pathetic you sounded. Yet, when he replied, it only shocked you more. “Darling, anyone who would not stand up to the Goddess of Death to save your life is no worthy man. Adieu.”

With that, the man turned on his heel and disappeared into the crowd. Immediately, you sobered and called out to him, “you can’t say something straight out of a fantasy novel then leave me on my own!”

But the man was gone.

Your day continued as usual after that experience. You grabbed your coffee, headed to your job and worked the 9-5 then proceeded on your way home. It wasn’t exactly an easy day. Angry customers calling up every few seconds, shouting abuse down the phone and you pretending to care as you sipped your long cold coffee and assisted them in the best way possible without hurling abuse right back at the disrespectful pricks.

With a sigh, you began your journey home. The trees were blowing in the breeze, cars filled the streets as was usual for London during rush hour – any hour really. That’s why you secured a job pretty close to home, so you could easily walk there and back in at the most around 45 minutes. You’d almost forgotten the man from this morning until you collided with a hard chest and long fingers reached out to hold you steady.

Looking up, your face paled with embarrassment as you realised that it was the same man that had saved you this morning. His hair was now tied up in a half up-half down man bun but even that suited the man. His suit was replaced with a nice dress shirt, waistcoat and black trousers but damn did he suit them anyway.

“Ah, so you’re the clumsy type, is that it?” the man joked with a grin as your cheeks tinted red and you avoided looking at him. Amused by your behaviour, the man cooed and continued, “don’t be embarrassed, darling, happens to the best of us.”

Scoffing, you pushed away from him and passed him, grabbing your keys from your pocket as you saw your apartment building not that far off. “I’m not clumsy, you just caught me at a vulnerable moment. Twice,” you shrugged and saluted him sarcastically, “adieu.”

As you walked off, the man simply stood watching you, his grin turning to a sad smile as he whispered, “adieu, darling.”

OC Interview!

I was a little unsure of what character of mine to do. But I decided to do the second most important main character of mine, and one of my favourite little gremlins, Dusk!

1. Are you named after anyone?

"No. I'm not named after anyone. Even my old name wasn't either, as far as I'm aware."

2. When was the last time you cried?

"...Probably not since I regained my memory. That... that broke me a little I think. Nothing could really compare to that, and I hope nothing does."

3. Do you have kids?

"Hahaha, do I have kids? I know I'm fairly young, but I'm not exactly looking for that. I don't think I've considered having kids before... Actually, I don't think I've ever considered settling down."

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

"As much as anyone else I guess. It gets a bit boring having to be so serious and focused all the time. Although, I don't want to ever be as laid back as Zenith. I don't think that man has a single serious bone in his body."

5. What's the first thing you notice about people?

"Their eyes. Well, of course, I notice their appearance and outfit first. But I take note of their eyes first."

6. What's your eye colour?

"I- It's hard to explain. Dawn once described it as 'A mirror, reflecting every possible colour'. It's not really a colour, but what do you expect? I've died once before, I'm not exactly normal."

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

"I don't think any scary movie could compare to what I've lived through and done before. That being said, I like a good happy ending. It's something to cheer me up."

8. Any special talents?

"*sigh* Everybody has innate abilities or attributes, of course. So saying 'Oh, I can create light!', it doesn't really mean much... I guess I can't bleed? Or do you mean like a party trick? Because I don't have anything like that, if that's what you mean."

9. Where were you born?

"In an alley probably. It was on the very outskirts of humanity. The frayed edge of the city, on the border of safety. I don't remember much of it though, left that place around... six I think?"

10. Do you have any pets?

"No... don't know where I'd get one either. Most normal animals are extinct, and good luck trying to tame an Unholy one."

11. What sort of sports do you play?

"None, but if I were to play one... What's it called when two people fight with swords as a sport? Duelling? I guess I'd do that."

12. How tall are you?

"I don't know... last I checked I think it was right under 180 centimetres. 178 maybe?"

13. What was your favorite subject in school?

"Never went to school. I do like learning about history though."

14. What is your dream job?

"...Maybe, the owner of a small cafe. Hearing stories, getting to know the regulars. Sounds nice..."

Meet the Mun.

Yeesh, LOADED question xD Uhm... well I fell in love with Cloud way back in his polygon popeye arms phase when I was around 15 or 16. That moment when he trundled down the stairs on the Hardy Daytona. But like... there's elements of his character that kind of remind me of me that I don't want to go into here tbh. In short I was having a hard time at home when I first took to Cloud, I owe him a lot, and I just pray that I do him justice, you know?

ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴡʀɪᴛᴇ?

Not really? I'll have a go at anything. I don't usually know if something is going to bother me or if I'm not feeling it until I'm in the moment. But if that happens I'll let you know :)

Heh, probably angst tbh. I have this nasty habit of turning the most upbeat thread into a sea of misery if I don't keep myself in check. It's not like I enjoy watching my muse suffer... no... that's a lie OMG. But I love shippy things too, fluff, smut and all that stuff. But the one thing that's key to me is WORLD BUILDING. I love exploring a character's emotions, the things that surround them and how it affects them. Honestly, if I feel stifled in a thread I lose interest pretty fast.

ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴜᴘ ᴡɪᴛʜ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴꜱ?

Usually on the fly, as I'm writing replies. It's not something I do often for Cloud considering that his lore is already quite extensive so I don't often feel a need to elaborate on what we already know. It depends really.

I prefer to have music playing and I like the music to fit the mood of the thing I'm writing. Helps me keep my flow and it blocks out everything around me. I can be easily distracted.

Picture recommendations

Hi! 👋

I’ve done a few photo-related things (LOTR terrain inspo and Colour series) as well as book covers and headers. Some of you will have noticed that I’ve talked about and use Unsplash a lot, and that’s because it’s an awesome resource that I firmly believe everybody could use. I’ve used it since 2015, and I will continue to sing its praises.

I will admit however, that it can be tedious to navigate, so I thought I’d provide a little bit of help. I’m not an expert, and I am in no way affiliated to Unsplash, but I do think it’s a great resource for writers and artists, and if I can help at all I’m going to do it.

Tips and Tricks (that work for every website)

You can search

By theme; This is what I do for headers, book covers and moodboards. I define what the idea is, and then search things that work for that. For ‘The Shadow of Sorrows’ headers, I knew I wanted Cleia, Kalendora and Hamund on there, so I looked for ‘Fantasy Woman’, ‘Armour’ and ‘Warrior’

By location; For the LOTR terrain inspo, I looked up where everything was filmed and scoured through Unsplash for photos of those places and places I’d been I knew felt right.

By colour; This is what I did for the Colour Series, as well as look in the Wallpaper section, since I wanted mostly minimalist pictures.

By method; Say you are looking for some landscape inspo, but have no specific place in mind, you can always start by looking at the 'landscape' tag. It's always a good idea to work wide and refine your search as you go. You can try 'portrait' if you're looking for people inspo.

hello wildcats !!!!!!!!!!!! over the past couple of years i have been very privileged to be involved in the wonderful hsmtmts tumblr fandom and i have had a BLAST !! unfortunately the show has come to an end (until the spin off is announced, at least) (guys let me have this) and i for one am NOT ready to say goodbye to something that has become so dear to my heart.

Introducing me!

Hey there!

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Majorproblems77 but everybody calls me Major!

She/her, 23 something old chaos bringer

This is my main blog that just has everything on it at the moment. Mainly LOZ and LU. Outside of Lu, I love me some space. Space is cool and you won't change my mind. I do also drable in Star Wars and Transformers, but those wont really appear here much.

I'm relatively new to the LOZ fandom, Only really getting into it in the last year or so.

I've played, BTOW, TOTK and SS. I'm currently working my way through OOT with plans to play the rest of them when I can!

I write! Yes, I am a writer. I write a variety of stuff for LU but it's mainly Sky stuff ngl. Fair warning I'm an angst writer and I'm proud. If I can bully them I will!

I'll happily respond to questions and I do have Anon on now. So do feel free to ask. I'll happily play ask games and stuff! And do feel free to just say Hi! I don't bite I promise..

I take requests every so often too, but only when I've asked for them, please! I lose track very easily!

Nope, not that I'm aware of

I'm not sure, but probably somewhere this month or last one

No, and not interested in having

Sometimes, usually when I'm in a bad mood 😂

I don't play any rn, but I did roller skating when I was a child (don't know if it counts or not 😭)

I tend to go and notice the "vibe" of other people and them as a whole, not anything particularly specific

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings, for sure!! I like scary stories and stuff like that, but I'm not the biggest scary movies fan

Listening to music, hanging out with my friends, watching movies/shows, going out...

Yes, I have 4 cats, but they live in my hometown with my parents, not with me

Some of my fav subjets in university were Consumer Behavior and subjects about sales, advertising and market studies and research! My like/dislike for some subjets were dependent on the teachers I had, I had some subjects I would like a lot more if it weren't for the teacher/the way the class was structured 😭

14. Your dream job?

I would like to work in the marketing/communication/publicity department in a company (esp if related to tourism/hospitality), but above all, if it's a good paying and flexible job, where I can be creative/travel other places (preferably) and I'm a happy person

9(?) people to get to know better

As @cricrithings tagged me (Thank you!) and by some miracle I actually noticed, have an ask-meme-thing!

LAST SONG: Just an hour ago, we were talking about (and listening to) punk bands from Rostock / Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania, because everybody should at all times, so, I think Vietsmorgen's Hand zur Faust might have been the last song.

FAVORITE COLOR: Uh... green. Bright and obnoxious if it's not about wearing it or painting a room. ;) But I'm also very fond of orange, various other greens, blues and think favourite colours are a weird concept.

CURRENTLY WATCHING: I've started watching One Piece again with the latest arc (after a short break of ~16 years). Should continue Battlestar Galactica (2004), and still have an episode of James May: Our Man in India ahead of me. Otherwise, I'm definitely looking for something to watch. Recommendations?

SWEET / SAVOURY / SPICY: Savoury and or spicy. Especially if it's breakfast.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS: In a long-term relationship.

CURRENT OBSESSION: My One Piece obsession may be fading out to general background noise again. I am, however, kind of obsessively panicking worrying about job changes and moving and the future. So, I would like to get back to pirates, please.

LAST THING YOU SEARCHED: Various punk bands. :) And books on machine dynamics.

Gonna tag @clicheantagonist @aceghosts @shellibisshe @bl-beater @jollybone @trashcatsnark @viktor-sinclaire @wewillryesagain and anyone else who wants to do it!!

I was thinking about doing one of the girls but Anya would Not do this, Heather would lie and Pip couldn't sit still long enough. So Dean it is, he would have zero time during the game events to do an interview so I did this pre-reaping when he started working at the jail, Staci interrogation moment.

Staci slaps a tape recorder down in front of Dean, obstructing the report he's been signing as he rolls his chair in front of the junior deputy's desk. He has shades sitting precariously on the bridge of his nose and toothpick hanging from his teeth, looking like every cliché deputy from a country movie ever.

"What're you doin' Pratt?"

"Mandatory rookie interview." Staci pushes his shades up and reaches over the desk to press the record button, Dean setting his pen down as he realises he wasn't getting back to his report anytime soon.

"I'm gonna ask you some questions and you're gonna answer 'em, got it?" Staci crosses his arms over the back of his chair, pointing his index finger at the bemused brunette.

"Ignore him rook, he does this every time we get a newbie." Joey comments as she walks past, rolling her eyes as Staci waves her off with a dismissive hand. Dean checks his watch and shrugs.

"You know what, goin' home in thirty minutes. Shoot."

"First question."

["Name?"]

Dean: Dean Sinclaire.

Staci: That the full thing?

Dean: As far as you need to know yeah.

["Are you single?"]

Dean: Kinda weird that's in your coworker interview.

Staci: Answer the question rookie.

Dean: Yes.

Staci: Any reason why?

Dean: I value my alone time.

["Are you happy?"]

Dean: Sure.

["Are you angry?"]

Dean: Like in general?

Staci shrugs.

Dean: I guess. Sometimes. I'd say irritable over angry.

["Are your parents still married?"]

Dean: What is that relevant too?

Staci: I ask the questions rookie.

Dean: Yeah, probably.

Staci: You don't know?

Dean: Haven't seen 'em in a while.

["Birth place?"]

Dean: Australia.

Staci: Okay what about state? Town?

Dean: Yeah I dunno chief, I don't think much back on before my twenties, definitely not about where I was when I was born.

Staci: It'd be on your birth certificate.

Dean: Do you just read over your birth certificate for fun?

Staci: Point taken, moving on.

["Hair colour?"]

Dean points to his head, furrowing his brows and making a 'are you serious' gesture with his hands. Staci motions to the tape recorder.

Dean: Brown.

["Eye colour?"]

Dean: Also brown.

["Birthday?"]

Dean: March 24th, 1993. Are you gonna ask for my credit card info next?

Staci: If you wanna be smart I might.

["Mood?"]

Dean: Pretty bored right now.

Dean yawns, Staci scoffs.

["Gender?"]

Dean: Whatever that dude in umbrella academy that can talk to dead people has goin' on.

Staci: What?

Dean: Exactly.

["Summer or Winter?"]

Dean: Here? Winter.

Staci: Huh?

Dean: Aussie Winter is like American Summer, sucks ass.

Staci: Oh. Okay.

["Morning or afternoon?"]

Dean: Afternoon, get to relax and go home and the weather usually sucks less.

["Are you in love?"]

Dean: What kinda interview is this, this feels like shit you put on a dating app.

Staci: Just answer.

Dean: Yeah.

Staci: For real? With who?

Dean: Your dad.

Staci: Oh fuck off.

Dean grins.

["Do you believe in love at first sight?"]

Dean: Nope.

Staci: Not even a lil?

Dean: Is this your weird way of telling me your into me—

Staci Fuck no!

["Who ended your last relationship?"]

Dean: Technically them.

Staci: Technically?

Dean: Yeah it's complicated, ask me in a year without a tape recorder and maybe i'll like you enough to tell you about it.

["Have you ever broken someone's heart?"]

Dean: Sure, hasn't everybody? Kinda inevitable.

["Are you afraid of commitments?"]

Dean: Uh maybe? Kind of? Not with the right people.

Staci: How do you know if they're the right people?

Dean: Can just feel it I guess.

["Have you hugged someone within the last week?"]

Dean: I get hugged every morning and night sucker.

Staci: By who?

Dean: My siblings, we live together.

Staci: Oh, that must suck.

Dean: No? Why?

Staci: Would be hard to bring someone home with your siblings there.

Dean: Not a problem I have but alright.

["Have you ever had a secret admirer?"

Dean: I feel like if I knew that would defeat the purpose of the secret part.

Staci: Fair enough.

["Have you ever broken your own heart?"]

Dean: plenty of times.

Staci: Wanna tell me about one?

Dean: Not really man, no.

Dean: Love.

Staci: Really?

Dean fishes his phone from his pocket and unlocks it, a large saint bernard with a bow tie sits in a flower field looking at the camera.

Staci: Cute, what's his name?

Dean: Baby.

Staci: Seriously?

Dean: He's my baby, what do you want from me?

Dean: Both are important to have, I have more of the latter.

Staci: Any reason for that?

Dean: Again; I like my alone time.

["Wild night out ir romantic night in?"]

Dean: Uh, what classifies as a romantic night in?

Staci: I don't know, dinner, movie, candles n shit or whatever.

Dean: I'll take the free food and getting to subject someone with a shrek marathon.

Staci: That is not romantic.

Dean: To you.

["Day or Night?"]

Dean: Night.

Dean: Eh.

Staci: Eh?

Dean: Long story, next question.

["Fallen down/up the stairs?"]

Dean: Everyone has done the four legged run up the stairs and fallen face first into them as a kid, if they say otherwise they're lying.

Staci: I ain't never done that shit.

Dean: Liar.

["Wanted something/someone so bad it hurt?"]

Dean pauses.

Dean: no.

Staci: Nothing? Ever.

Dean: Never.

Staci: Sounds like-

Dean: Next question.

["Wanted to dissapear?"]

Dean: Yep, social anxiety does that to you pretty good.

Staci: Huh, I couldn't of guessed you had anxiety.

Dean: Therapy's been doin' wonders.

Dean: James.

Staci: The other rookie?

Dean: Yeah, known him half my life, he lives with us now—basically family.

Staci: Interesting.

Dean: My siblings.

"What the hell are you doin'?" Earl stops behind Staci, the deputy nearly falling as he swivels around to look up at the frowning sheriff.

"Just welcoming the rookie." Staci offers a small grin, subtly swiping the tape recorder and stuffing it away in his pocket.

"Leave him alone and get back to work Pratt."

"Yes sir." Pratt wheels away awkwardly, Earl shaking his head and sighing as he watches him. Dean chuckles, straightening up in his chair and getting back to his report.

"You'll get used to him soon enough rook, don't worry about him." Earl offers a comforting nod, and Dean smiles easily.

"Wasn't bothered by it Sheriff but thank you."
