I tried to do more of the screenshot/cinematic kinds look but I gave up and just bullshited the backgrounds bc I didn't wanted to look so plain but I also didn't want to do a background

anyways Mipha is here! it's Mipha time!

(Friendly remainder that what's bellow is just copy paste from my draft and there's probably a lot of typos and gramar mistakes)

More of Yiga Link AU

A group of young Zoras finds Link's body sinking on the river, south of the Minish Woods. They take him out to land and check on him, he is barely alive and they quickly take him all the way to Zora's domain. They send the fastest of them first to inform the princess and she meets them halfway.

Link's wounds are bad, but she still can heal him, they take him to the domain to keep an eye on him, besides he is still uncouncious. They set him up on that little area for other species when they visit, and Mipha had other healers take a proper look at him.

The princess buys him clothes from a merchant since his are barely existent with so many cuts. The zora recognize those cuts, they know the boy was on a Yiga attack and unfortunately, they find his tattoo behind his neck.

They are not idiots and they fear the boy might be a spy and all was just a set up, the princess still wants to talk to him. Mipha was no fool and she wasn't as naive as most people outside the Domain may think, but she was curious, and there was a feeling in her chest that told her there was more to know about this boy.

Link wakes up in unknown clothes, he has no idea of where he is but soon finds out as he started to look around. He remembers what happened and a hand grips his chest. He knows he shouldn't be alive.

"That was terrible wound you had there," The voice startled him and he instantly stood up to go into combat mode. "Don't stand, you are not fully healed yet." he really didn't have another option, there wasn't a part of his body that did't hurt and the pain brough him down to the bed again.

He looked up to see 3 zoras, two tall ones dressed in armor flanquing a smaller one in shinny red scales and dressed in zora jewerly. The princess.

"Don't be sacred" she said and gestured to her guards to stay put as she walked to him, "I just came to look on your wounds"

Link frowned at that, the princess? Coming here to check on a stanger's wounds? Yeah sure. Link remembers his tattoo and quickly hides it with a simple illution spell that wouldn't take that much of his stenght.

"Dont you have healers for that?" he asked coldly.

The princess laughed lightly "Yes," she admitted and stood by his bed, her amrs behind her body, holding her spear "and they know more about hylian anathomy than I do, but they can't do what i can. Your wounds were bad enough to require my assistance."

Link frowned again, "what does that mean?"

Mipha smiled and gestured at the bed, "Can I?" Link recoiled his legs, leting her space to sit down, the princess did, leaving her spead resting on the bed besides her, she extended her hand to him, "give me your arm" she said softly.

Link hessitaded but he rested his arm on her hand. She carefully took off his bandages and let exposed a deep cut on his forearm, the boy winced at the sight.

The princess then put her other hand above the wound and closed her eyes. Her palm started to glow and link gasped loudly. His arm started to feel cold and a bit numb, but the pain was gone, and soon the same sensation washed over his body. It was nice.

Mipha was focused on the wound but she looked up for a moment to catch his expresion, she smiled lightly and looked down again.

The light coming from her palm dimmed until it was gone and his exposed wound wasn't there anymore. Slowly, the pain came back to the rest of his body. Mipha let go off his hand and he lifted his arm to his eye level, twisting it one way and another, trying to see the trick but no, the wound was really gone.

"You... You really have healing powers..." he had herd the rumors but no yiga had actually seen it, just heard things from other people.

Mipha hummed a laugh, catching link's atention, "Outsiders are always so surprissed to see it" she stood up, taking the spear again, "I have other things to attend, but i'll come back to heal the rest of your wounds latter."

She leaves with her guards, a few minutes latter another group of zoras show up. Two of them check on his wounds and tell him to rest while the other two just guarded the entrance. He had a bad feeling, whenever he peeked an eye to the other room he saw a guard. He didn't know if that was normal or if it was because of him.

He rests, too tired to try and transport, and fully knowing that in this state he wouldn't be able to fight. He starts trying to form a plan to get out of there. Taking a swim was not an option, anywhere near water he would be an at disadvantage. He had to make it to the montains that sorrounded Zora's Domain, he could take a run for it once he were back to his feet, he had no idea if zoras were fast runners but they had short legs, he was sure he could outrun them. Once close to the montains he could teletrasnport himself to a higher place and away from them.

Tho he didn't know where to go from there. It's not like he could go back to the Hideout.

Mipha comes back that evening and heals two more of his wounds before leaving. Link is starting to think that maybe her healing magic tires him as much as illutions and trasportation tires him. It takes a few days for him to be fully healed, all the time he is forced to stay on the rooms to "rest"

All the time he feels uncomfortable, he feels watched. It gets worse when he is fully healed and the princess wants to give him a little tour around the domain, everyone always stares at him, or maybe they are looking at their princess and he was just being paranoid.

He had never been to Zora's domain, to be honest, he hadn't seen that much of Hyrule, and he was intrigued to see and learn more.

As they start to walk around the Domain a little red-scaled Zora runs to her and hugs her leg "Sidon!"

"I'm sorry princess," another Zora runs to her, "he's been running away the whole day, he doesn't wan't to do the jump"

"If you don't jump how am I going to teach you to climb waterfalls?" Mipha asked him and he just hugged her tighter, hiding behind her from his instructor.

Link quickly put two and two together and figures out he must be the young Zora Prince, but he was most concerned with the idea forming on his mind. Would they follow him if he jumped? He eyed an opening on the level they were on, and without really thinking about the heigh he kneeled down

"If I jump would you jump?" he asked Siron, "I can't swim as well as a zora would, so if i can make that jump I guess a zora prince would have no trouble doing it, right?"

Siron thinks for a moment then nods. Link walks to the edge and looks down to the long drop. "Having second thoughts?" Sidon's instructor asked him. Link just frowns at him, and takes a few steps back, he took off his shirt and dropped it before sprinting and jumping.

He hits the water gracefully and as he sinks he prapares to transport, but sees a lot of Zoras around him. He sees that at the bottom of the lake there's a whole underwater town that probably outstretched fartest of what he could see. He goes out to the surface and finds it quite hard to not let the current take him away, even when he was under their castle as there were underwater walls shielding him from the strong current of the main water fall of the domain. A few zora heads pop out, looking at him curious. Some heads look younger, maybe teens? And look at him impressed and exited

"SIDON!" Link lifts his gaze and sees someone had jump and the tiny zora splashed in the water. He looks around but the zora prince doesnt come out.

"OW!" something bites his toes and a tiny shark head pops out, sidon smiles with sharp teeth and giggles until the current starts to drag him out. Link lets him, surely other people would help their prince. But they dont they just look, and as much as the tiny zora tried the current kept draging him.

Link reaches out a hand and takes him, wraping his scaly hands around his neck as he swims to the base of the castle structure. He leaves sidon on the rock and climbs up too.

Mipha's head pops out behind him, "you swim quite well for a hylian" Link jumps in surprise, when had she jump? he didnt even see or hear her splash, "You are bleeding," she said and he lifted his feet off the water to see quite a deep bite. "SIDON!" mipha screams distressed, "how many times do i have to tell you it's impropper to bite others!" she lifted herself to the place they were sitting and patted the space between link and her, he puts there his feet and she healed him. As always he stared at her hand facinated.

"I have to thank you, for not letting the curent carry Sidon" she said, "you shouldn't have to, he is 23, he should be strong enough to be able to withstand it." link looks at sidon as he jumps into the water again swiming closer to the rocks. 23? "but I would have done the same" "and thank you for jumping, her instructor had been trying to make him jump all week"

Link looks at his foot and thinks of all the other wounds he had, all the wounds the yiga had made. "I should thank you," he said, "I should be dead. You saved me."

"those wounds were no accident, were they?" she asked, "the yiga were sent to kill you" Link nods, "but why?" he sruggs.

"I have to leave," he said softly, "but i'll hate to leave without paying back what you have done for me,"

Mipha smiles, "I'm sure we'll think of somehting," she stands up, "I know a place you can stay meanwhile. Sidon! Lets go!" he swims to them, his little back fin braking the surface, he jumps towards Link, mouth open. Link backs up but Mipha catches him on the air and hums a laugh. "I'll meet you at the top," she said to link and pointed over his shoulder "you can use the leadder to climb up."

Mipha swims up the waterfall they just jumped from with sidon on her back. They meet at the top and Mipha leaves sidon with his instructor. He runs to link when he shows up and tries to bite his leg, "My prince, dont do that!" the instructor pulls him away before he can do damage and sidon smiles with his spiky teeth.

"I have to apologyze for his behavior," Mipha said tho she is trying not to laugh, "His new teeth just came out and he has a need to bite eveything."

They walk to a village at the top of the mountain overseeing zora's Domain. Mipha pays him a night to stay and tells him good bye. Link is bafled that she has so much trust in him, he plans on just leaving, but he has a chance. He now knew and gained the trust of two zora royals. He knew they were the only heirs of the zora domain and since the king didn't had a mate... He could make a move. And maybe, he could be allowed back with his people.

why do you not like fantasy? is it more of a passive "I don't find this interesting," or are there specific elements you dislike? you have a fascinating thought process and I'd like to hear more about what you think

ha thanks! well i say i dont like fantasy, but that's not strictly true, its more like, i need the stuff i read to like, form a consistent world? lots of stories the worldbuilding doesnt really make any sense, it's just vibes, but being able to think about a work, or try to predict what will happen as i read, etc, is a big part of my enjoyment, and if somehting doesnt make sense like that it really irritates me. and fantasy very rarely satisfies that, the worldbuilding is mostly anchored to vague medieval stuff even if that doesnt make any sense within the world, or like, it lasts way too long or something. and its not just the world i guess, its like, the abilities of the characters, and i love it when they use those abilities in clever ways, or like maybe combine them, etc.

sci fi has the whole category of "hard sci fi" which makes the stuff i like easier to find, but while theres definitely hard fantasy it doesnt really form a major subgenre. struggling to think of hard-worldbuilding stories that definitely arent sci fi off the top of my head, except like, unsong (there's also ra sort of). internally i think of "media set in a world unlike our own, which deals with the changes in a way i find satisfyingly consistent" as "spec fic", altho i think generally speculative fiction is often just used to mean "sci fi and fantasy". to me i like the term speculative fiction because i feel like a big part of the purpose is satisfying a what if question (speculating) and if you dont have an underlying logic its not really a satisfyign hypothetical yknow?

Fate: The Winx Saga - My Thoughts and Critique - Part 1: Characters

Be warned: The following post will be quite long as I have a lot to say. Please note that this is all my personal opinion and this is just the thoughts and critique of someone that has watched the original Winx Club several time and I have watched the new Winx Saga, and this is in no way a blind hatred based on only word of mouth and seeing half a trailer. Enjoy

I will be comparing this new series to the original 4Kids version, as this is the version I hold close to my heart and grew up watching. So if there are any plot differences I describe from the animation, it is probably due to the slight changes made in the Nick Dub, which some people will know best (example, in 4Kids dub, Aisha’s name is Layla, and Sparks is known as Domino in the Nick dub)

CHARACTERS

Well, I have a lot to say about the characters, just like anyone else. I’ll break down, the casting, compare the character to the animation, and their personality in the Netflix series.

Bloom

The actress chosen in my opinion was a good choice. The problem I have, is her personality. They got the determination and hot-head traits right, of course. But in the animation, Bloom is warm, friendly and bubbly. Easy-going and popular among her peers. I don’t know if they were trying to appeal to the oh-so-angsty teenagers that don’t want to go outside and have few friends. The typical “I’m not like other girls” trope. Tropes are popular, and as someone who has written stories in the past, I have used that trope once, but usually it’s a trope I like when it’s to show the character’s beauty compared to others who may be catty and selfish; not so beautiful on the inside. Here, to me, Bloom is just unlikable. She may be angsty and a rebellious teen, blah blah blah, but she was so rude to people like her Earth mother, and inconsiderate of her own actions and how it could affect those around her. Even if Aisha told her “That is a bad idea, you’re going to regret it” she runs along and does it anyway, and then she gets into a bad situation which also affects everyone, Even if she helps clean up the mess, damage is still done.

In Fate, Bloom’s relationship with her parents is not amazing. Yes, she’s an angsty, rebellious teen who almost kills them because she lost control of her power, but I found this cold, rude relationship so unnecessary. As a teen, sometimes it may seem like no one is listening nor can understand, parents just seem nosy and overbearing, but communication is key. That’s what I find so many shows are missing now: communication.

Looking at Bloom’s relationship with her parents in the animation, it’s not only simpler for them to know from the start that she has powers, but it makes the communication between both parties better. This strong relationship Bloom and her parents have is always present, but we see the beauty of it in Season 1, episode 13, “Meant to Be” when Mike and Vanessa sit her down and talk to her about how they realised she had magic before that fateful meeting with Stella.

There is none of that warmth and love now. Bloom curses at her mother, gives her attitude and is overall just a brat. Bloom may feel remorse towards herself for burning her mother, but then, why is the attitude towards her so ugly? I really don’t like it.

Aisha/Layla

Next is Aisha, who is the only character that was not whitewashed from the original. The only reason I think she wasn’t is because the creators of Winx Saga knew there would be a true uproar if they dared to replace her with someone non-black.

She is the general voice of reason in the group, and the babysitter of Bloom and company. She will support and be the shoulder for Bloom to lean on in a few cases, but generally she’s the only one calling Bloom out for being rash and insensible, but then she gets ignored or sneered at for it, despite rbeing the only one with awareness for consequences.

There isn’t much to compare to with her animated version except for her being athletic; made very obvious in episode one where she says “I swim twice a day, every day”. (Even though that is the only episode we see her following said routine.) Other than that, her backstory is not expanded upon like the animation, obviously due to the lack of screen time and actual length of the Netflix series, therefore for me, I didn’t really bond with her character like in the original.

Stella

The actress is pretty. Not too hard to cast a pretty blonde in a series. Moving on.

In the original Winx, I adore Stella. She’s bubbly, she’s fun, she’s bright. Literally the sunshine of the group. Yes, she has her snooty privileged princess moments, but she is a likable snooty, privileged princess. Why? She showed that she really does care for her friends. Stella can be self-centered and insecure, but she’s never afraid to say that she’s wrong when she realises her mistakes. This is shown several times, but right now I can speak of two instances: Season 1, Episode 8 “Spelled”. Technically, she was under a spell that made her moody and rude, but she still knew she had to set things right after upsetting Musa. Another memorable moment for me when she showed her caring side was during the girls’ stay at the no-magic resort in Season 2, episode 21 ““Trouble in Paradise”. She went after Aisha/ Layla to check if she was all right, they connected and Stella earned her Charmix. Overall, Stella in the animation has her flaws, but she is loved by all and she herself loves the people she’s close to.

However, Stella in Winx Saga, I detest. I was really disappointed with what they did to her character. Honestly, it would have made more sense if she was Diaspro (Sky’s ex-fiance from season 1 and 3) and not Stella. She’s a snob, rude and dismissive of others’ feelings. They did try to toss a sympathy card at our faces later when they eplained the reason why Winx Saga Stella is so - her toxic, overbearing and abusive mother - but honestly, maybe it was because it happened so fast because of the limited time, butI was not feeling any sympathy towards her. I felt like I should have, but I couldn’t. I hope her character changes in Season 2, if I even bother watching it, because I was enormously disappointed with Stella’s new persona for this first season. The Solaria ring was nice enough though.

Musa

Well, here we go. One of the infamous whitewashing cases. To tell the truth, I'm not surprised but disappointed that it acueallyhappened. You mean to tell me they couldn't find any capable Asian actresses for Musa? Yes, small production and low budget, but still. If you are going to make a live action for a cast that is well loved, respected and recognised for the diversity, you should keep it. It just feels like they do it on purpose at this point.

Winx Club Musa I like a lot. I love all the girls, but she's just so laid-back and cool, but she's not afraid to call someone out for being unfair or on their attitude (namely Stella most times). She cares for her friends and she cares for Riven. She's family oriented and she's so passionate about music.

In Winx Saga, she's a mind fairy who used to be a dancer and listens to music with headphones to block out the emotions of people around her when she gets overwhelmed. Interesting new concept and it comes in handy for the new show material. I wouldn't say she was completely unlikable in the WS series but there wasn't anything much besides her ability and that she and Sam (Terra's brother) had somehting more than a fling going on. They were a nice couple. Good chemistry in kisses. I don't know why they decided to not make Riven her man - who knows what the plan is. Riven was not hers in the beginning of the animation either, but we saw a great bond form later on. Their relationship had problems unlike the other Winx couples, but they still are a fan favourite. Let's see how this new match goes I guess?

Flora/Terra

Terra We all know she's supposed to be Flora, no matter how they try to spin it. Before anyone says she's a different character so it's not whitewashing, I have seen a video on Youtube where a girl explains that in actuality, it was supposed to be Flora because there are (now deleted) clips of characters talking to Flora, not Terra. And the adresses portfolio said she was to play Flora. They seemed to change it to avoid heating up the hot water they had already landed themselves into.

Therefore, I will be comparing Terra and Flora. I was extremely disappointed when I saw the trailer and realised Flora was clearly not there. I am not usually one to care whether or not someone looks like me in a show, but I do relate to Flora. I may not always be one that likes to get close to nature honestly, but everything else about her I relate to. I love pink a lot, I am a mixed race person so her looks are what I identify with the most, and our personalities are quite similar.

Terra, on the other hand, is obviously white. The love of plants is there and her sweet and gentle personality is there. Though, it doesn’t get much time to shine because whenever she speaks, she’s either cut off or ignored, unless she’s spouting information the others want to hear at the moment. They did make her quite chatty, and at times even I was a bit annoyed, not because she was chatty, but because that trait just seemed to be a gateway for the scriptwriters to hit you with details about Alfea and its history, and information about fairies without making much effort. Terra didn’t have much screen time, but whenever she was on screen, she was always the butt of a joke and treated poorly. When the situation became dire, she did have some moments of strength, but then the other characters still treated her the same so it seems meaningless.

One main reason Terra stands out to the audience is the fact that she’s the only plus-sized character. I’m all for representation, but I don’t like where they went with Terra. She’s shown to be insecure about her body (shown when she avoids her roommates to change alone). Yes, she’s supposed to be a teen who has heard non-directed comments about weight by other characters, but why couldn’t they make her a confident plus-sized girl? I have plenty of friends that are plus-sized and confident about themselves, older or younger. In media, it’s rare enough to see a plus-sized person, but also one that has confidence. This show is directed to teens, and those who may look and feel the same as Terra won’t have a good example set for themselves to be more confident. If you’re going to include a certain figure in your story, yes, everyone has insecurities and all, but if you have the power to shine light and empower, do it right!

Sky

One reason why I bothered watching the show. Danny Griffin. The man playing Sky. Iin the original Winx, I did not really care for Sky as I’m not really into the long blonde hair, I prefer shorter hair. So I was quite pleased to see this casting as it fits more into my personal type.

Anyways, let’s continue.

I found that the casting was done well for Sky. A hot blonde warrior that can wield weapons well? They nailed it. However, that’s kind of where it ended for me. Due to the plot, his character was pretty much ruined for me. Winx Saga Sky was sadly unremarkable personality-wise. The story didn’t allow for much expansion for him besides having the hots for Bloom and the whole boo-hoo story about his father. There was something of a nice relationship with his mentor, but I’ll get to that later.

Danny Griffin’s performance was quite good. My only issue was one part of his first appearance where his first few lines. . .sounded like lines. Not so much the result of bad acting, but it just was another case of sounding like lines written for a script than natural conversation. But I only really saw that in the first episode, and since everyone would have been getting into character at that time I can let it pass. Otherwise, he performed well as an actor.

Riven

Winx Club Riven does not have the best first impression. According to Musa, he’s “a little rough around the edges, but that’s kind of his charm”. He’s a troubled, moody guy who falls for the wrong girl. He has a very competitive side, especially with Sky, who always manages to beat him in combat. He is indeed often arrogant of his abilities, but he proved himself to not be just all talk during his escape from imprisonment in Cloud Tower during Season 1, and even Sky admitted to being impressed with his knowledge of survival and strategies, even going so far as to say he always thought Riven was the “Red Fountain Slacker”. Animated Riven also has a sweet side that was displayed in season 2 when he comforted Musa during the girls’ first mission to Shadowhaunt, and much more so after they started dating. He expressed how much he cared for Musa in shy but blunt ways. Flawed, but a character that developed throughout the series.

Winx Saga completely threw that out of the window. Riven is now just a clown that does bad boy things. He’s clearly still being portrayed as the “edgy” character with troubles and insecurities, but the rest of the show is so aggressively dark and edgy that he really has no way to stand out anymore. I don’t know what they’re planning to do with his characterr later on, but I really dislike what they did to him. The only thing done right is his competitive nature towards Sky. Side note, this is also my personal preference, but I must add that I am not feeling the minimal facial hair. I’d prefer a clean shaven face. The little spikes just looks messy. But then, facial hair always looks messy to me.

Faragonda

Faragonda. Or as she is known now, Farah Dowling. I’m not sure what to say for her. The actress did well, I can say that. The problem always lies with the characters themselves.

Faragonda is a beloved headmistress that always has an eye out for her students, whether she watches them through her magic mirror in her office or just personally. She gives them enough guidance so they can grow on their own and helps them when she sees the need to. However, she is also strict when needed and will not condone disobedience; this was seen in season 1 when the Winx were punished for breaking into Cloud Tower to get Stella’s ring from the Trix. She is a brave, just and kind woman, well suited for a principal position.

Farah Dowling does not have much besides her position. She’s very secretive and those secrets seem to be there to cause drama when it could have ben avoided. It could be an irrational thought process that humans have, but I’d expect that from someone who hasn’t experienced much in life. The type of past Farah has, she should know better than to keep secrets if she knows it can put the whole school in danger. Her lack of disciplinary action was evident, whether it was the scene of a villain making their move or Bloom blatantly disobeying orders and making choices that moved the plot forward a bit. It was odd to see that even if she knew this person went dilly-dallying in her office or broke a rule, ut wasn’t met with discipline unless something really bad happened. Whereas, we all know that in a school setting, small rule breaking is also punished. I did like the part in the last episode when she and Bloom finally had a warm interaction, I found it very sweet and it was nice to finally have her interact with Bloom without having to expect some impending doom to arise in the next scene.

Beatrix

We did not get the stylish trio we know and love for Winx Saga, but I must say, I was not disappointed by Sadie Soverall. She portrayed the character really well.

She’s a blending of the famous Trix. She’s cunning and does not let anyone get in her way, much like Icy. Seductive like Darcy and I’d say she has Stormy’s malicious nature. (I mean the Trix are all malicious but Stormy generally could let her viciousness rule her judgement). As well as the fact that her power kind of looks like electric bolts, like Stormy’s.

A manipulator that was being manipulated. She’s icy cold, cunning and she knows who she should attach herself to in order to reach her goals. Just a sub-villain I say, but I enjoyed the character. Minus the odd little plots her character was mixed into, which I will discuss later.

Rosalind

A new character who so far seems like the puppet master of all the characters - both good and evil sides. A master manipulator and charismatic. Very enjoyable to watch despite her short screen time. She was the one person that actually had me excited to know what was going to happen next. Very well performed in my opinion.

Mike

The only time I saw this actor truly in character was in the last episode when he was wearing this blue shirt. He really looked like Mike. It may always be necessary to dress a character exactly like the original, but some things are just subtle and yet iconic. Imagine Shaggy from Scooby-Doo without his green shirt and brown pants combo. It wouldn’t feel like him. Otherwise he’s quite a basic looking man so not too hard to cast. I do think this actor really matched Mike though - looks wise, at least.

With Mike, there are less interactions with Bloom besides having very basic “How are you doing?”conversations. There’s a lame joke here and there but nothing really worth commenting over.here now The focus when it came to mentioning the parents in Winx Saga was mostly to Vanessa.

Vanessa

Vanessa in the original series is warm, loving and a good mother. She and Bloom have a strong relationship and have great communication between them, and Bloom not only respects her but also goes to Vanessa when she needs advice and support. The ideal mother-daughter bond.

Date’s Vanessa is more. . .trying to be a good mother but not quite nailing it. As I mentioned during Bloom’s analysis, she’s met with hostility or downright rudeness if she even mentions going out and making friends to her daughter. There were a few moments when it could have been touching to see thieir interactions, but apart from the scene when Bloom was feeling homesick, it felt a bit rushed. Perhaps it was the acting, perhaps it was that the awkward interactions overruled the positive ones, but the Winx Saga relationship between Bloom and Vanessa didn’t feel as connected.

In conclusion, mot of the acting was well done. The issues I have were mostly due to the writing of the characters, not the ability of the actors.

Other minor characters will be analysed during the plot discussion.

sdfjsdkfhsk I don’t know what this is going to be. I quit twitter so I could stop being addicted and do better in school but nooooo I need attention/my words in the public eye

I have a fucking headache, fucking stomache overall I’m not doing well. (this maybe because I woke up 3 hours ago and I still haven’t eaten because i’m avoiding mother you will see below)

“Why?”

Because my mom saw my BEN SHAPIRO RAPE ART. (to clarify it was post rape or whatevr idk if it even implied rape, but there were naked people,no sex but it was implied to be about sex and not like “anotomy” or something so I cna’t play it off)

Basically it was a joke with a twitter friend, I made of my own accord randomly. Lewd thing’s include

-there’s a girl lying in front of him, basically naked, the outline of her showing (tits) touching his dripping dick

None of it is “detailed or accurate” it was drawn as a joke. But it doesn’t matter. It’s NSFW and my mom had TIME to examine it and whatever other words are on the notepad. I hid it now so I can’t look at it but there’s that. And she wants to talk ABOUT IT.

Also to clarify we’re Indian which is relevant information because it tells you the following:

It’s possible i acted macho enough in the morning when she asked me about it, she’ll leave me and my burgeoning sexuality alone (I’M KIDDING IT WAS A JOKE NOT A HORNY THING I STG). Plus she’s nosy as fuck (as evidenced) so probably not. Plus she stole my computer after I did that, while I lay in bed, so she’s gonna be petty.

SO I guess I’ll avoid her and play up the macho (b.) and fall onto a variation combination of b& c if she presurizes me + if further pressurized uphold my moral high ground in draiwng hta t(it’s normal, a joke, it’s my stupid head pad, we learned shit in shcool) nad the fact she shouldn’t have snooped. Fears

Oh Finn has a LOT of fears. He grew up rather sheltered after his experience with humans so Finn tends to overworry a lot of stuff and he's really bad to watch horror movies with unless you actively want a 6'0 man who's based upon a Flemish rabbit to practically hide on your lap. Very funny when he feels scared of a large dog and proceeds to try hide behind his 5'3 dinky boyfriend. Although Finn genuinely cannot stand gore movies or aggressive people as it upsets his heart problems.

Laughter

He's a really happy laugher...as odd as that sounds?? His shoulders shake and Finn always likes looking at the person who makes him laugh. His tail usually wags a lot and if he's really laughing, Finn's ears start to flap rapidly, although he gets embarrassed by that last bit. He likes hearing people laugh and Rhys laughing over a warm drink is probably the first time Finn knows he's in love with Rhys.

Dream

Finn doesn't really have a dream. He's happy where he is in life right now and so long as most people don't find out that he's a mutant, Finn's happy to bake and make warm drinks in the bakery. Though he thinks that he would like to own his own bakery one day, but that's for the future. If we're talking physically, then Finn's legs tend to twitch along with his tail and ears and typically he dreams of working but like...with his feet??? And that's why Rhys gets litreally kicked out of bed one night.

Smile

Finn used to have a cleft lip when he was born and sugary left a scar so he. Legit has that little line up to his nose like rabbits do because I'm heavily endowed in the head. A little shy about his smile since he got teased for buck teeth and the scar as a child and tends to hide his upper face with his ears if he gets too smiley. He thinks smiles go well with laughter though and everyone has their own smile that makes them completely wonderful.

Scars

He has the cleft lip scar and other than that there's not many other scars due to the fact that he has a fast working healing factor. Other than that, Finn tends to treat people with scars a bit more delicately since he really doesn't know what might hurt them or not. Touches Rhys's scars so gently that he probably tickles Rhys a lot on accident cause as someone who's born with such a degree of healing, I imagine Finn struggles to know what's painful in terms of scars and bruises since his heal up in hours. This means Rhys gets a kiss and a cute band aid for anything and he's up for it tbh.

Sex

He knows the bunnies and the bees, knows that sex is supposed to be special and only held between people who love each other and content, but Finn mostly knows the blasics and that's it. Aceness means that Finn just never googled or actively searched for it and it there's somehting his partner wants, he wants honesty and for them to tell him. Doesn't mean that he doesn't get heavily flustered for it though and Finn often struggles with the fact that he adores having his tail tugged during sex or how aggressive he gets during rut.

And in that rut, he tends to want to top more often up until the point where it becomes a bit too painful to do so and kinda NEEDS to be topped for a while. He gets growly for this at first and then after that it's more or less needy squeaking until he feels calmed down from it all or he's ready to top again.

Vengeance

What good will getting mad do? It didn't work when children held him down and yanked as hard as they could at his ears. Finn yelled for help and he got blamed for showing off his mutant powers instead of helped and that kinda set the mindset of "asking for help or wanting revenge will get you nothing" and after that Finn kinda....pulls away. If he were to get into a fight with Rhys then Finn more or less ends up stop speaking properly, which can be frustrating if Rhys wants to know what's upset Finn. He finds it easier to work out aggression on runs and that's hard enough when he's someone who can run around a small park under two minutes as easy as anything.

Loss

Despite what most believe, Finn's alright with loss. He cries a lot, sure. Spends days sobbing in bed if someone close to him is gone and tears up a lot, but he does a lot of activities to help work out emotional stuff and would encourage Rhys to do something similar for Blue, so that he could have a proper grieving process now that he lives somewhere more stable. Has big wishes that maybe someday he could see anyone he's lost again one day.

And like do you think her little agency would work with neutral magical sources like phoenixes to find people? Because like Dency could be like a Penn but for the opposite side? If that makes sense?? Like Penn is bringing all the “light” witches together but Dency is really the figures head for the “dark/neutral” witches like the witch hybrids and the phoenixes…like Dency is kinda like the unintentional beacon of light for that side…just by being herself? Like maybe she doesn’t actively campaign for more acceptance for hybrid witches but her mere existence alone and the good she does is enough to get the ball rolling?

paige has a charge back in the late aughts she's in a coven the point is her bestie has some traumatic incident happen to her and she wants revenge and it's something that (imo) totally justifies revenge like a killing her rapist type thing and like. it depends how we're going with charmed morality but i've established before i think (?) it's canon that if a witch takes an innocent's life she becomes a warlock like it's possible for witches to defect and become warlock if they take a life Specifically an innocent's life and even tho like that guy would be a mortal he def doesn't get innocent status because he's fucking evil she's allowed to murder him but i think she would murder someone else in the process and then causes her to lose her witch powers and gain a couple warlock powers and the rest of her coven shuns her for it which could have easily sent her down a dark path but paige's charge her bestie like stood by her thru all that like. like it's shit cosmic rules tbh. maybe. for legal reasons: i am not endorsing murder. please for the love of god don't make me admit to a grand jury i have a tumblr that'll be so cringe bro do not murder anyone. but paige's charge stands by her and idk maybe paige gets her a job at p3 all that the point is when piper sells the club to open her restaurant she sells it to paige's charge and her gf the warlock. so p3 kind of becomes a neutral power for magic no vanquishes allowed and it's one of the few places dark magic has on the surface just to vibe u just have to be able to tolerate being served by a witch like she owns the place so that kind of filters it. idk if this is more rambly than it normally is. i promise i'll go back in later and add periods. maybe. i am also a liar. but the point is i think p3 is one of the few places dency can really be hersefl because herself is half demon!! and at magic school she really is suppoed to feel ashamed of that like she hates it or something wishes it gone and Yes. it does scare her. being the source's heir all that. she's always worried about giving in to dark magic but like. she's a demon!!! there's no changing that there's no fighting that pushing it under the rug like. she can't change it she does want to spend her life hating herself like. it's who she is. fuck. so i think she doesn't date witches but like the regulars at p3 some warlocks the occasional like darklighter. dency has had romantic trysts with.

Your grace and wings stolen away from the Family you tought will alaways no matter what protect you. The only other Angels who where there for you were Gabriel and Balthazar who both died a time ago. But there was Castiel. You knew him for a very long time. Even fight with eatch other and help eatch other out. You were happy to know Castiel. Have you never met you would never get to know the Winchster Brothers. All those storyies you were told about them made you all excited to get to know them. Sometimes you would help them and Castiel out with something they needed to save the earth (again). First Sam and Dean didn’t trust you much but you showed that they could trust you with their lives. But all changed when Meteatron took your Grace and your wings. No longer Angel you were lost. Yous sank in a deep hole of darkness. When Sam and Dean found you you were a broken Human. No Family anymore, not a home to return to and than those emotions you never felt before. It was anbearable for you. Both Brothers took you back to the Bunker but your depression got worse and worse with each day. So they called a friend. Charlie was the most funny Human you had ever met. Her big smile made you smile too and her hugs woulcalm you down. You lived with her for aquite long time. She even showed you how to be Human. Teached you how and what to eat, how to shower and showed you a lot of her favourite things like books or movies. But what fascinated you the most was the Music. Things got complicated when Chrlie run away. Castiel was panicked and you worried. I mean a big Family of Frankenstein idiots where going after her. While you tried to contact Charlie Castiel talked to Dean and unfortunaly to Sam who found out of the plan. Boy you were screwed. ‘‘Would you please jsut sit down already!’ Rowena called for the 100 th time at you as you were passing here over and over again. ‘‘Shut up! Character Development “Hard Mode” Meme: send a number & character to my ask box and I’ll write an answer/headcanon in reply.

4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?

(In my headcanon, watching his mother almost burst into flames after a freak accident on a motorcycle is pretty much the main thing that’s up there. Seeing her disfigured and unable to work gave him a big reminder of ‘hey, she’s going to die someday’ and kicked him in the ass that he didn’t want to burden his mother any more, especially now that she couldn’t make money. Still, that’s very specific to my headcanon.

In terms of what we know out of canon, probably everything he witnessed of watching the Crown City literally crumble. Knowing he failed, knowing somehting bad was going to happen yet going along with what the King wanted. Watching a lot of civilians die [another headcanon of course, because, we don’t know how many die, but considering ther aren’t many refugees, I reached two conclusions about the events of Kingsglaive {because it sure as fuck isn’t ‘not a lot of people lived in Insomnia’ that place is fucking huge >:|} 1. a LOT of people fucking died or 2. the ppl making the game didn’t give a fuck about making it look like there was alot of refugees, they just implied it. I ASSUME IT’S THE LATTER, BUT WHATEVER, LET’S GO WITH THE FORMER >:P] in a place he should’ve been able to protect, and not being able to even keep most of his Crownsguard alive, also served as a very painful and sudden change in Cor’s life. Maybe that’s too recent to be fundementally changing, but, I can’t say that didn’t change him to some degree.

As for if anyone knows, I’m gonna assume that yes, because some people knew Cor as a child, especially since he ran away at 13 to join the military then somehow became a King’s Guard at 15, you can’t tell me the people who knew him in his youth wouldn’t have been aware that he must’ve went through some shit to do that. Even people who don’t know him must be aware.)

18.Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?

Wisdom. Cor is full of ambition and failure, so, he doesn’t value something he already has a ton of. Not to say he doesn’t value ambition in others, but, he’s more likely to coddle ambition. My example being Prompto. Prompto is full of ambition, and Cor is very protective and flattering, so if Prompto does fall on his ass and fail, the landing isn’t as hard as it was for Cor. Prompto wants to prove himself, but he also has kind friends who are competent and there for him. Cor, as far as I imagine, did not have that, if he fucked up he fucked up, nobody was exactly happy to help him, it was more like pity. That’s why he itched to prove himself so much, he went to the Tempering Grounds alone, probably scared the shit out of himself, and somehow came back alive.

Not to mention, Cor being in the military at 13 heavily implies he doesn’t have anything past an elementary school education. I think I’ve said it before, but most of his knowledge is experience and age, he’s actually not that intelligent. He can’t read well, even at this age (because it was never important to him). He writes very to-the-point reports. He doesn’t have a large vocabulary. He’s ‘no nonsense’ because he really couldn’t be any other way. Wisdom is something much more admiriable in his eyes, which is why I imagine that, even though they never interact, Cor is actually slightly intimidated by Ignis, who is the only character [as far as I’ve seen] who he never talks to. The whole DLC is him and Gladio, obviously he speaks to Noctis, and he showers Prompto with praise and advice. Ignis? Nothing.

I know it’s actually kind of amusing to imagine, but I think he’s actually avoidant of Ignis, not purposefully, he just knows he’s an idiot, and doesn’t want to feel more like an idiot, let alone reveal it. Ignis gets his respect for being booksmart and able to apply it to the task at hand. He just doesn’t even let Ignis know that.)

44. How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?

Impossible. He never says it. A lover can say “I love you.” and he will immediately respond with “I know.” Or. “Thanks.” He means well. It makes him happy. He just can’t return it. If he does, he’s dying. Like, he’s honestly got something horrible about to happen to him because he’s never going to be honest like that unless he knows he’s a step away from death. So, knowing that, you might actually not want him to say I love you, because, that’s what it means.

He can absolutely say it without meaning it. Like, if his lover tells him “Say I love you” he’ll beat around the bush and say it. But, it’s just words when it’s like that. It has no gravity. He’s only saying it because he was asked to say it. It doesn’t matter if the partner he has also never says it, or showers him with that phrase daily. He doesn’t say it. There’s a lot of phrases he refuses to say. “Don’t go.” is one of them. “I missed you.” “Help me.” Is probably the least likely. You’ll hear “I love you.” before “Help me.” comes out of his mouth. It’s not like I love you is an exclusive statement. Cor is just hardheaded and refuses to say a lot of things, that one just ends up being obvious.)

Make sure we know where you're coming from. We often forget the social limitations of humans and that you need to go to school and work and need to make money to buy food and shelter to live. This goes Triple for higher up spirits and leaders. If they expect something of you that isn't realistic to you're schedule, TELL THEM. The worst thing you can do is try to make a spirit friend and have it fall apart over something like not spending enough time with them cause you need money to live.

Any additional advice to anyone reading this? Be kind. Be patient. Be wary. I don't want any of you to get hurt because you're too eager to make a friend. Treat Spirits like strangers on the street. Be polite at all times, even if they're revealed to be selfish. Christina (me) has shown me that even the ones who want to use you can calm down if you're polite and show them that you truly want to understand their motives. Even if you disagree with their reasons for trickery or revenge. I still don't know how she did that. I just talked to them? Anger has to come from SOMEWHERE right? Being mean and dismissive to ANYONE who's angry at the world is a BAD idea. They NEED someone to at least listen to them. They're still dangerous. Angry people often are.

6: What point of view do you tend to write in? Do all of your pieces use the same POV? Do you have strong opinions on the POV used in novels?

My default POV is probably 3rd person past tense, but I’ve been really trying to expand my horizons when it comes to POV lately. I think POV is a really important element of a story that needs to be used consciously, and there are a million different things you can do with it. Shaelinwrites on youtube has made a lot of really informative videos that opened up my eyes to the possibility of POVs. I try to vary my POVs based on what the work needs-- Prevent is in first person past because it’s a very narrowly focused story, Red Ink will be in third person past because it has a million different POVs and I do not need to complicate the timeline more than necessary, and I’ll probably do something really weird with No Pilgrimage-- I want to do omniscient, but I also kind of want to do first person from Daniel’s POV, so I may try to combine those? Who knows. My only strong opinion on POV is that you shouldn’t limit yourself, and there are no good or bad POVs, or easy or hard POVs, just what’s right for a story.

10. What scene was the most fun to write for you and why?

I’ve just recently gotten back into seriously drafting, so I haven’t made very much progress on actually writing most of my novels. I have made really good progress on a couple short stories, though. “Question Game,” a short story about the simultaneously intense and shallow relationship between two high school students, had a really fun scene at the crux of the piece, where the main character Jamie sees a ghost and essentially decides that she’d rather become a ghost herself than Live In Society. That scene was really intense and flowed really well, which made it fun. The short story I’m currently working on is called Solipsism, and it’s about a 10 year old named Orla who gets chained in a field during a famine. I’ve been really struggling with it because Nothing Happens, like literally she stays in the field the entire story and doesn’t talk to anyone, but I loved writing the flashback scene when Orla gets arrested, because I got to make her clash with the community and their ideology and show how feral this child is.

I’ve recently realized how important strong language is to me in a piece. I tend to like writing that’s very deliberate, voicey, and somewhat intricate, but not necessarily flowery. Some books that really inspire me in their use of writing:

For example, for full coverage with the minimum amounts and highest deductibles, my insurance on a 2010 Mazda 3 would be about $1800-$2300 for 6 months. However, I also got a quote for a 1997 Ford Escort and the same exact coverage is still $1200-$1300. I don't get why my rates are so much higher. A coworker of mine is 21 years old, not married, no tickets, and has had his license since 18 like me, and he has a 2007 Mazda 6 and he only pays about $170 a month, which translates to about ~$1050 for 6 months. I put in my information including SSN on the same company's web site that he uses (Geico) and my insurance rates are about $1700 for 6 months. So my question is why are my insurance rates so high?
