Wholesome Headcanons for mY heART
Yu loves to collect stickers. It all started when he got a pair of noise cancelling headphones from Tsubasa and he started to decorate it with cool stickers he got from tournaments and friends, but since then he has a whole scrapbooks with pages covered in stickers. His favorite is his Dino themed book because he gets to rant about his extensive and honestly impressive knowledge about dinosaurs. I feel like whenever it’s somebody’s birthday he makes them a card adorn with stickers of their favorite things, which are always really goofy and makes the group laugh.
Kyoya volunteers at a local cat animal shelter on the weekends when he’s in town. He claims he only does it for the workout when he gets hauling in the food bags but this is a lie. He enjoys every second that he spends with the animals. I like to think every time a cat gets adopted he cries because he’s made such a strong connection with them and he’ll miss them, but he’s happy knowing they’re going to a loving family. He especially has a soft spot for the older fat cats in the shelter and will give them extra treats when no one’s looking.
Zeo and Toby have a game night every week. It’s a tradition that they started from when Toby was still stuck at the hospital and didn’t have a lot of fun stuff to do in his room. It started out as just simple games, but since then it’s escalated to a full on session lasting like 3-5 hours. I think they especially love things like little card games where they’re solely playing to just bamboozle each other. They would have like an extreme version of Uno they would play where they just go bat shit crazy, and they would end up cussing and screaming and dying of laughter by the end of it. They invite Masamune to these Intense matches just to watch him suffer as he tries to figure out the rules.
Benkei worked as a MA/nurse to help pay for the restaurant he opened up in beyblade shogun steel. He first went into it for the pay, but he liked helping people so much he eventually really started to enjoy it. I don’t know why I have this Headcanon but imagining him in big blue scrubs with a clip board covered in bull stickers with a little smiley face nurse badge makes me just so happy. I feel like he really loves helping the kids that are scared of the doctors feel more comfortable by giving them cool stickers/bandaids after they get a shot or session done. His favorite thing he always wanted to do though was Physical Therapy, which he developed a love for after Kyoya went through his bottom surgery and needed to do P.T. Plus, he thinks it’s really handy to have first aid knowledge on you when you’re training new bladers, in case one of them has a medical emergency they need help with.
Ryo loves Karaoke. He didn’t know what it was until he moved into the city and joined the WBBA and he was invited to an office party where he was introduced to it and he had a blast. His favorite song to karaoke to is Dancing Queen by Abba. Probably has the worst dance moves ever known to man. Gingka and Hikaru are embarrassed by it but have no power to stop it.

you remember that song by ceelo green from like 2009 called fuck you
well i woke up this morning with it stuck in my head.
so i jammed to it all fuckin day.
an excellent life choice tbh.
there's only so much you can do when the school you're tryina finish your degree at isn't responding at all, yknow?
also i considered what joel said yesterday and called discover to put my loans on forbearance for another month. success. so no loan payments for the rest of the year because i'll be in school by the time payments resume. so that eliminates my this-week-deadline. it's still fucking annoying.
it was also really cathartic to yell "fuck you" at the top of my lungs repeatedly while dancing because i was jamming in my car.
fucking fantastic, my dudes. 10/10, would definitely recommend.
anyway, work was fine, and being with the kids today, we actually took the day off of studying. we went to barnes and noble and looked for workbooks and other books for the kids to read for the summer, and after we went and got ice cream together. it was hot today, so it was an excellent thing.
i love that bookstore.
also i realized that the pens i have for my planner don't write with the same texture and it's driving me bonkers, and i also don't have the right colors. i'm missing red, purple, and pink. so i ordered some new ones when i didn't find them at staples. (i can't get the ones with the clicky bits because my ADHD and my autism are like "STIM NOW" and that's annoying as fuck for everyone around me, so i opt for the quieter caps that are better for the community at large. those pens will be here tomorrow.
i also decorated and started filling in my planner with stuff. happy my commitment issues with stickers stops when i know i'm gonna be holding onto the thing for like two years. it's all good.
this morning i realized joel didn't suffocate me in my sleep, and i woke up and he was on the other side of the bed. fucking batshit, man. so happy i didn't die in my sleep, from heat or otherwise.
lisa made something spicy for dinner and it was fucking delicious. who knew toasted almonds in rice would be so good?? and apricot jam on spicy chicken and spicy carrots???? whomst??????? it was so good.
and i watched joel play his spiderman game for a while and it's still really cool but also it's bedtime and i'm fucking exhausted.
need nap. need sleeps.

Do you prefer running or yoga? Oof, I have to pass on either. The most I can do for you is walking... now that I enjoy doing lots of.
Do you prefer Zumba or pilates? Neither really, but I'm more likely to do Zumba cos then at least I get a chance to dance to a song I like.
What is your favorite time of day to run, if you’re a runner? I'm not a runner, but it is fun to walk any time between dusk to early evening.
What is your favorite store to buy planners from? I don't really buy planners anymore, but in the time I used them I usually got the ones from Starbucks – the yearly thing they'd do where you collect a sticker for every drink you get and once you get 18 stickers you'd get a planner.
Are you jealous of anyone right now? Nope, I'm good.
Do you like spicy food? I love spicy food and prefer a bit of kick in most things I eat.
Do you prefer Asian or Mexican food? I mean Asian food is extremely broad, but in general I do prefer the cuisines we have here.
What continent would you most like to visit? There's so much of Asia I have yet to visit.
Have you ever played Truth or Dare at 3am? No.
Does your local library have a summer reading program? The few public libraries we have could very well have those, but there's just none that I know of.
Do you take selfies every day? I never take selfies and whenever I do it's always the 0.5 groufie kind.
Who knows everything about you? Nobody. I like keeping certain things to myself.
What color is your sleeping bag? Dark blue.
When was the last time you used a sleeping bag? I have two foldable bags in my room that I like to treat as kind of like a mini sofa.
What is your favorite sleepover game? My friends and I...don't really play sleepover games...
What was your favorite Bratz doll? I wasn't into dolls much but I was obsessed with Bratz and had lots of non-doll merch like shirts, boots, lunchboxes...anyway, my favorite used to be Jade.
What was your favorite American Girl doll? I'm not familiar with those.
Did you have a Barbie doll with your hair color? I don't think so. I didn't have a lot of Barbie dolls to begin with.
Are you ok? I wish I was on a 3-month break instead of a 3-day break, but otherwise I'm fine.
How many months until your next birthday? 8 months.
Do you have a best friend? Yes.
If there’s someone you want to be best friends with, who is it? I'm past the point of 'wishing' I was friends with certain people.
Who do you wish you were dating? I don't think of things like this.
Is there anyone you miss? No, I'm good.
Who do you hate and wish were dead? Nobody I know personally, but in general I wish this for child sexual abusers and animal abusers.
Are you bothered by your past? Nope, no use being stuck there.
Do you like drawing or painting better? I imagine I'd like painting more these days; I just haven't had the chance to do it.
What did you always want to do as a kid but were never allowed to do? Have a Friendster account. Literally EVERYBODY in my grade had them. These days I'm more sympathetic towards my parents and their reasons for not allowing me to be on any 'social media' at the time but back then it was obviously frustrating and baffling why they couldn't let me have this thing that everyone was doing.
Can you run fast? I can, I just don't really run anymore because I find it tiring haha.
Does your local library give out prizes for summer reading? I don't know what our local libraries do for like fun and whatnot.
What is your favorite ice cream topping? Chocolate chip cookie bits or chunks.
Do you want to die? I don't now, but I'm also not scared of it. If it happens, it happens.
Is your Bible falling apart? When I was in Catholic school we each had to own a Bible and what my parents gave me to use was the actual Bible from their wedding. The book would've been around 15-16 years old during the time I had to use it so it was very much on the way to being worn out and had a very strong antique book-y smell to it.
Do you doodle in the margins of your notebooks? Yes! Often when I was still in school. I'd do it on the back pages too.
What color is your favorite knitted scarf? I don't own scarves.
Do you need new boots this year? I don't own any boots either.
Do you have Christmas lights up in your room? No but my work/desk lamp is on pretty much 24/7.
Has a crush ever been mean to you? Kind of, yeah.
What states have you been to? Like US states? None of them. I've never been to America.
What states have you lived in? None.
What countries have you been to? China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand.
Where would you most like to travel to? I'd just love to go back to South Korea.
Elephants or llamas? Elephants.
Does your heart hurt right now? Nope.
What color is your bulletin board? I don't have one.
Are you hormones performing the way they are supposed to? I think so, yeah. I've never had a problem related to my hormones other than a few late periods, which all happened forever ago.
Which country’s flag is your favorite? I don't have a favorite flag.
Are you part Irish? Nope.
Are you part English? No.
What languages can you speak? English and Filipino.
Music or art? Art.
Cheetah print or plaid? Not really a fan of both. Hm, not an easy choice to make but uh cheetah I guess hahaha.
Polka dots or paisleys? Polka dots.
Have you ever been a witch for Halloween? I don't think I have been, no.
If you live in an apartment, is your landlord mean? I've never had experiences with landlords.
Who’s your favorite superhero? None of them.
Do you have a seashell collection? No. I never was into collecting them anyway.
Mermaids or dolphins? Dolphins.
Who was your best friend in eighth grade? Somebody not in my life anymore.
Do you get bullied? Well not now, but I used to be a target when I was younger.
Do your parents love you? Yes.
Do you know what the Bible’s definition of religion is? No. I probably wasn't listening when we took this up.
Do you feel alone? Haven't for a long time now.
What fashion essentials do you need that you don’t currently have right now? I pretty much have at least one of my fave articles at the moment but I do feel the need to get more baggy jeans and bucket hats.
Do you normally wear jeans until they rip and wear out? That doesn't really happen to me and the ones I own haha but in general I wear jeans until I feel that they're not really super trendy or fashionable anymore.
What season’s colors do you look best in? Idk we don't have your four seasons.
Do you want to start a business? I've had thoughts about it but I think it'll stay as a daydream. I barely have the knowhow for running a business.
What did you go to college for? Journalism.
Is abuse in your past? Yes.
Is there trauma in your past? Yes.
Do you know anyone who’s been raped? I do.
How many tattoos do you have? None.
Have you ever been rebellious? Yes, I was the problem child/black sheep/all-the-related-terms growing up but I will also readily defend myself for it. My upbringing wasn't the best and healthiest, and I know I would've turned out more decent if the adults around me just weren't themselves troubled.
Who do you look like? My mom.
Are you a dog or cat person? Dog.
What do you hate? Drivers who drive as if they desperately need to take a shit. Relax you'll get the fuck home.

hi! figured i’d drop a request for you :))! Maybe some general bf hcs for reki and langa? Just in general how they would be as a boyfriend or how they would act in a relationship?
Hi!! Thank you so much for your request, I’ve been excited to do one of these. I hope you enjoy it!
➯ random boyfriend headcannons
➯ characters: Reki Kyan and Langa Hasegawa x gn reader
➯ warnings: none! Just some fluff for these two boys:)
Tumblr media
Reki:
-Literally the most enthusiastic person you’ve ever seen. He’d be happy to just sit in silence with you because come on, it’s YOU. There’s no one he’d rather be wasting the hours away with.
-Your biggest hype man, EVER. You post something on Instagram? Get ready for a flood of comments, all from him. You could put your phone down for two minutes after posting, and you’ll come back to 99+ notifications of just reki commenting along the lines of “woah suddenly I’m on one knee” “DAMNNNN” and many, many more.
-Never leave your phone unattended around him. He won’t snoop, but be prepared to come back to your camera roll flooded with just zoomed in pictures of his face, his mouth, his eye, ANYWHERE. Mf is spamming your whole phone with pictures of him for you to come back to.
-He has to always be touching you in some way. Whether it’s holding your hand, your waist, a casual arm around your shoulder, there has to be something. He’ll put his hand on your ass sometimes while you walk in public.
-Honestly doesn’t even think PDA is anything out of the ordinary. Like, you’re his s/o??? Yes you’re in his lap, yes you’re in the middle of the skatepark, so what? You’re his, and he’s happy he can make everyone aware of that.
-I saw a post on here that said he would peel stickers off fruit and stick them to peoples’ foreheads, and I fully stand by this. However, it doesn’t just stop at fruit stickers. Anything remotely sticky, whether it’s tags from clothes, tape from a food box, even random sequins and bits of glitter he finds around, it’s immediately being stuck to some part of your face.
-Loves casual dates. Stopping by food stalls, browsing in clothes and game stores for a few hours, and skating around with you until it’s time to go home is a dream for him. Be prepared for day-long dates, because he will clear his entire schedule just to spend the day with you.
-His family adores you. His mother is always goading him to bring you over more, complaining that she misses her "honorary son/daughter/child". His sisters love you too. Any time you come over there’s immediately three tiny bodies shooting at you, grabbing you by the waist and dragging you over to wherever they’re playing. Reki tries to drag you away, wanting to have you for himself, but you always try and stay for at least five or ten minutes. Secretly, he loves that you get along so well with his siblings, going soft at the thought of how you would act with children of your own.
-He loves playing video games with you. Sitting in his lap, the two of you could spend hours switching from game to game. One minute you could be burning down a village in Minecraft, the next complaining while Reki whoops your ass in Mario Kart. His mom brings you food for your breaks between games, and she’ll even stay for a few minutes to talk to you while Reki shifts underneath you, glowing red from embarassment.
-If you can’t skate, he would beg to teach you. If you accept, he goes all out. He’ll make you your own customised board just for practicing, making sure it’s absolutely perfert for you to learn on. But if you can skate, get ready for endless races and competitions to see who can nail a new trick the quickest.
-Adores when you come to S to support him. He loves looking into the crowd and seeing you there cheering him on before he goes into a beef. If he wins, he’ll race over to where you are in the crowd, picking you up and spinning you around, kissing you without a care in the world. However, if he loses he’s thankful you’re always there to pick him back up and make him feel better afterwards.
-Loves cleaning you up after a big fall, kissing your bruises and cuts better. He’ll carefully wrap each injury with care, telling you how brave you are, no matter how small the cut. Secretly, he loves when you baby him after he falls himself. Seeing you wipe away the blood from a new cut and place a small plaster on it with such tenderness melts his heart in a way only you could.
-Speaking of plasters, this man has one for every occasion. Princesses, pirates, aliens, cats, dogs, sparkles, stripes, you name it, he’s got it.
-The type to sneak you out at two in the morning to get a slushee with him. Honestly, he’s up so late making boards for people he just has no perception of time.
-Spams your phone with TikToks or other funny things that reminds him of you. It could be a very specific thing, or a flower or cloud. If he thinks of you when he sees it(which is fairly often), it gets sent to you.
-Talks with his hands a lot. He’s a very expressive talker, so when he’s telling you a story it feels like you’re right there in the story with him.
-Please just kiss him. His cheeks, his forehead, his hand, his shoulder, his temples, his lips. Anywhere, he’ll melt under you. Mf is touch starved to the max.
-Always knows how to make you laugh. His laugh is infectious, it could get you out of your darkest moods.
-Sleeps with his head on your chest, and one hand in your shirt little perv.
-His social media is like a SHRINE for you. His highlights, his posts, his stories, EVERYWHERE. He’s just so proud to be able to call you his that he wants the whole world to know.
-Kisses in the rain while you run home, skateboards in your hands after the weather forecast failed you once again. He’s just so happy in the moment that he can’t contain himself, so he’s pulling you into him in the pouring rain, kissing you hard while your hair gets drenched.
-You don’t need to steal his clothes, he will literally give them to you because “you just look so cute wearing them”. Occasionally, he’ll take one of your hoodies, and even if it doesn’t exactly fit him, he’ll still keep it near him while he sleeps so he can keep your scent close to him.
Tumblr media
Langa:
-This man is so oblivious to obvious hints, but still manages to pick up on the smallest of details? It’s incredible, honestly. He could describe the exact colour of your eyes with the most insane detail, but he still won’t notice when you try and hint that you like him in the first place!
-You two have a bit more of a low-key relationship, but you’ll make your usual appearance in his Instagram posts, or on his Snapchat story with a casual caption like a simple heart, or “my love<3”
-Not very big on PDA, not because he doesn’t like it, but because he doesn’t think of it. However, when he does feel like he’s being too physically distant, he’ll link pinkies with you as you walk along, or rest his head on your shoulder while you watch a video on your phone.
-His mom adores you, which is why Langa despises bringing you to his house. You always seem to leave with seven of his baby photos from his time snowboarding in Canada, a new recipe from his mother that you complimented, another one of his hoodies, and more miscellaneous stuff that you don’t even know how it ended up in your bag. He has a little shelf in your room specifically for this random stuff, and he always adds to the collection when he comes to your house. He’ll leave a keyring, a small toy, a Polaroid, anything honestly.
-Loves dates that you can experience. The movies, aquariums, museums and the zoo are common dates for the two of you to go on, but other than that, he adores going skateboarding with you. He’s been improving, and he loves when you notice little things he’s been picking up on, whether it be a new trick or simply how he balances himself on the board.
-Adores old Disney movies. Yall will binge a ton of them in one day, having full-blown musicals in Langa’s living room. When any of the romantic songs come on, like “So this is Love” from Cinderella, Langa will stand up and offer his hand to you, as the two of you waltz around his sitting room, humming the tune of the song.
-Study dates are frequent with the two of you. If you happen to stay up late studying and fall asleep on each other, his mother will cover the two of you with a blanket, tidying some of your books and leaving with a smile, happy with the knowledge you were making her son the happiest he’s been in quite a while.
-Slow dancing in the kitchen while you cook is a regular. When a particularly sappy love song comes on while he stirs the pot, he’ll turn around and hold you close to him, twirling you around the kitchen.
-Reki constantly jokes that he is a third wheel, poking fun at the two of you, Cherry and Joe, and Shadow and “his little girlfriend back at the flower shop”. He’ll hang out of Miya, whining about them having to stick together since they’re the only two “lone wolves”. He’ll usually get a well-earned thump into the back of the head from Miya, but it’s still funny to watch the whole thing go down.
-Tends to be shy when giving you clothes, so instead of asking you to wear them he’ll leave them out in places he knows you’ll find them, or he’ll come up behind you and plop it in your lap, murmuring about how cute it would look on you.
-Please do this man’s makeup. He will sit so still for you, waiting patiently while you dab eyeshadow at his eyes, trying not to blink so you don’t mess up his mascara. He’ll sit there mesmerised for a few minutes, taking in how he looks, and simply whisper “you do this every day?”
-Evem though he’s not a very openly affectionate person, he is stuck to your hip behind closed doors. He’ll lie in your lap for hours, staring up at you while you mess with his hair, pulling it into little plaits and pigtails.
-I can’t even describe how the two of you sleep. It’s simply a mass of limbs, and no one knows exactly what belongs to who. Somehow one of yall will end up upside down, and-why is Langa on the floor??
-He could talk about his time in Canada for hours, and you’d just lie on his chest and listen to him. Every once in a while he’ll look down at you to see if you’re still listening, and his heart will melt a little every time he sees you staring back up at him, eyes wide with interest.
-This man NEVER gets jealous. You’d literally have to cling to another man for it to click in his brain that Oh. He doesn’t like that.
-He’s not big on texting, but if you call him he will stay on that call with you for hours, even after the two of you fall asleep.
-Whenever he falls(which is quite often), you’ll always have plasters on hand to help fix him up. He always flushes bright red when you kiss his cuts better, and never knows just what to do with himself afterwards.
-When he skates against tough opponents, you’ll always give him a kiss for good luck. Of course, this doesn’t stop you worrying, but you know Langa wouldn’t go out of his way to get injured. And if he does, well, at least he’ll have you there to kiss his bruises better.

Katy my darling <3 I have a very fun ask for you!! What method of arts do each glee characters prefer and what is their favorite thing to create?
oooooo this is a fun ask!
I'm gonna do S2 New Directions for now, but may add S3-6 ND or other characters later 💛 (warning... this is LONG)
Artie: Film. 100% film. He loves using visual media to tell a story, he also really gets into the sound design side too when he learns it in College. He loves making music videos and after Uni that's mostly what he does. He also directs a lot of movie musicals and musical TV shows. Basically he loves making visual media for songs.
Blaine: Performing - mostly singing. He also love writing songs, which we never see in the show but I can imagine him learning about songwriting in NYU and loving it as a way to express his feelings. it's like a step up from using someone else's words to express them.
Brittany: Obviously dancing! I like to think that after marrying Santana she either goes to college for Dance, or maybe owns a dance studio/goes on tour with Mercedes a lot (with Santana as a guest singer) She really loves teaching little kids how to dance, she knows how to interact with them on their level and the kids love her.
Finn: Singing? I honestly can't think about what he likes. Like singing is the closest thing. He sings in the shower a lot and obviously he loves singing on stage. But he's not that much of an art person outside of that. He likes consuming it but not making it.
Kurt: Sewing, obviously, as well as sketching clothes. He loves making accessories for friends - scrunchies for the girls, bow ties for Blaine, a dog bandana for Sam's golden retriver (because you know he gets one) etc. - but he also loves designing and making costumes for small productions. Maybe he volunteers/works with a small theatre troop and makes & designs all of the costumes while also performing.
Mercedes: Mercedes likes making cards for everyone for Christmas and Birthdays. It started because she'd forgotten to buy a card for someone but had some card and pretty pens on hand and it spiralled from there. She now owns a fancy die pressing kit and lots of card toppers and pretty glitter pens and washi tape and all of that. She has a small kit she brings on all of her tours, it helps relax her after a show - making cards for the crew as a thank you/maybe selling some for charity because she makes so much? When she finally gets back together with Sam they both work together to make Christmas cards from them with cute pictures of themselves in terrible christmas jumpers and their golden retriver in a Kurt made bandana and later their kids in matching outfits.
Mike: Like Brittany he's a dancer first and formost. That's his art. He later goes on to be a professional on Dancing With The Stars where he reconnects with Matt on set (maybe they even get together in the end and the DWTS fans love their relationship and their jokingly competative instagram stories) He loves creating a story with only movement and music. Mike also really likes doodling.
Puck: Photography. I don't know why but I see Puck loving to take pictures of places he visits in his travels. He also scrapbooks but only Quinn knows that - he has a whole scrapbook of pictures of Beth that Shelby sends them and later makes them for all of his other kids too, and he has, like, travel journals and scrapbooks of roadtrips he's been on. Basically he's a Bullet Journal guy. He really likes washi tape and pretty papers and stickers and what-not. He will never admit this.
Quinn: Quinn's a writer. In my head she goes on to write a book that's losely based on her high-school years and it becomes a best seller and is later adapted into a Netflix series directed by Artie. I just like the idea! Maybe Rachel plays, like, the Miss Pillsbury character... or Terri! Or maybe Shelby? I dunno one of the adult characters.
Rachel: Obviously her art of choice is performing. It's singing and acting and standing on a stage or a set and making the words in her script her own. Also scrapbooking/moodboard making.
Santana: Santana likes knitting. She won't admit it but she likes knitting little plushies for Brittany, her favourite is a little bi flag coloured bunny. She makes knitted plushies and blankets for all of her friends when they have kids but she never tells them she made them - everyone knows though, they're too perfect for the couple/person (a cat in a scarf or a toy poodle in a bow tie for Klaine, a teddy adorned with gold stars for St. Berry etc. etc.)
Sam: This could be an essay for me (and kinda is opps). Sam is the Art nerd of the group and tries every type of art he possibly can. Macaroni art, illustration, digital art, traditional art, crafts, pumpkin carving, glass blowing, handlettering, graphic design, knitting, crochet, rag rugs, sewing, card making, pyrography, etc. He will try everything he can in terms of visual art. He doesn't, however, write because dyslexia, and he can't wrap him mind around, like editing and film stuff - he does try though because why not. He also really likes songwriting and music arranging.
All of this i'm trying to do as close to canon as i can but going off of canon let's say Sam goes to Parsons for illustration because he's so good at art, he stays with Mercedes in her brownstone and they never break up, after graduating he becomes a comic book illustrator (which i believe is literally a minor at Parsons, so let's say he does a Major in Fine Art/Illustration with a Minor in Comic illustration) and illustrates a run of Young Avengers comics and becomes a fan favourite artist.
In canon, however, he loves teaching the new generation of New Directions but he misses art because he doesn't have that much time anymore (because being the teacher of the new directions is a full time job, apparently, judging by the lack of adult friends or hobbies Will has lol) he loves loves loves arranging music, however, and that becomes the type of art he does the most. He does doodle a lot during faculty meeting (also he does a music teaching certification during his first few years of coaching the nNDs) and goes all out with pumpkin carving at Halloween, and loves decorating his apartment and the choir room at Christmas. He loves doing sets for the musical (and has a lot of fun staging it too) and helps out with the decorations for Prom.
Basically Sam loves to be creative in any way he can. He loves making things, whatever they may be.
Tina: Tina writes fanfiction and draws fanart. She's a nerd 100%, she watched Supernatural, she was a SuperWhoLockian, she loves Merlin, she's loves Twilight but more ironically than, say, Mercedes, and prefers books like Morganville Vampires or PC Cast's series that I've forgotten the name of. She loves the Hunger Games and Firefly and Star Trek and Star Wars. She definately has a tumblr. She mostly writes all sorts of fanfiction and is a huge name in the Supernatural fandom. Only Sam and Blaine know about all of this becuase they found one of her Star Wars fanfictions and in an authors note she said something that they recognised - idk she ranted about Santana or Rachel or something.
This was so much fun omg, thank you for the ask Myle 💛

Finally, my Pitter Patter Pop Adventure in written form as a memory to hold to this great game. It certainly was a wild ride.
In short: This game made me love JoJo
I didn't know what JoJo was before I played this game. It looked cute, so of course it as going to get it without knowing anything about JoJo. My sister told me JoJo was good, so why not?
It was more fun than I anticipated. I love match 3s, like Bejewled and Pokèmon Shuffle, so a match 4 with cute animations and gacha? Count me in.
My first GR was Joseph, but I didn't really care. I kind of recognized him as the guy from Part 2 but otherwise I didn't do much with him. He got his own room simply because he was my first GR but he had the worst green room. The first team was Joseph and Speedwagon.
I managed to get Jonathan then Dio in the same roll. Having just watched Part 1 I put them in a team together for a long while. I even got sword Jonathan but ditched him early because he wasn't good.
Then I got voiced Giorno, who remained my main to this day. He was paired with his father because family. They were a pretty good team.
Next was Narancia. As Ink's fav I used him with Giorno, even going on a holiday with them as my team. They were my team for a very, very long time.
Ink got Prosciutto and Narancia, believing Pros was very rare. I didn't get him until very late, so she may as well be right.
After playing Eyes of Heaven and midway through watching Part 2 I fell in love with Joseph. I tried him in EoH just for fun and expected nothing from him but he was absolutely fun to play and his personality was great. Thus, he was upgraded a room and became my banner character.
I aimed to get Risotto because he was both a rare event and I saw a video of someone destroying the highscore with him and Giorno. One day I got him and to this day he and Giorno are my mains.
The strategy? Get Giorno to go first, then before the tiles break activate Risotto. Keep on chaining this. Once it's stand up time use two boxes in the middle of the top corners. Activate Giorno then swipe until most of the board is Giorno. Then activate Risotto and wait. This backfired whenever a blockage was in the wrong place.
Very far in I attempted Fugo and Kars as a team, Caesar and Joseph, Joseph and Kars before ending up with Fugo and Okuyasu. Then Joseph V.2 came around and he and Bruno were a team very late into the game.
Fugo and Okuyasu had the fastest animations so grinding was quick and easy. Just activate Fugo then let Okuyasu remove his blockage. Easy.
WGR Polnareff came as a surprise. On a down day he appeared out of nowhere and was actually pretty good. Sadly Risotto was somehow stronger.
The end of the game happened too swiftly. I got 300 gems from a rainbow chest and managed to swipe a bunch of bronze and silver medals. Then I recorded a video of the last moments. The game gave 1000 gems and a golden ticket as it was announced to shut forever. Devastated, I swapped New York's JoJo, who I was gunning for forever and then randomly got, back to original Joseph. If the end of the world happens, might as well have everyone be their true self.
I guess there will be no more grinding for room items, or checking online for colour kanji to get extra gems on premium missions. The premium room was already gone a long time ago, replaced by the villas. The teams was swapped to a sticker book and although I missed the first stickers, being Doppio, I managed to accumulate quite a bit.
There was a time exploration didn't exist, too. When there were no character items, no badges. Some didn't have voices past the silver badge. Only the JoJos did. Then, everyone got it.
And there were crystals as well. Only some could awaken. It didn't remain that way for long, but my Giorno still can't awaken. At least I was there when the first awakening was, Frog Giorno being my first among other players.
There were some rooms I wanted. I grinded hard for the BT room, and tried my best to get Holly's house and the Torture Dance place. Before the game shut down they released new rooms, and I gave some of the marriage one to Kars. It's pretty, ok?
I remember when I needed one last character to finish Part 2. Santana just became a normal unit, so I got him. Same for Bruford. Then the New York JoJo's event dropped and more units appeared. I got Straizo but failed at getting Joseph. I stopped for a bit, and in the time more units were added. Joseph & Caesar w/ their instructors. Esidisi and Wamuu V.2. And finally, Ult Kars.
I was saving gems for a Caejose unit. Having burned them all out on Ult Kars I was in a bit of a dip and took a break. I used 900 or so gems. He was crazy op, had an amazing model and introduced more character items. But I left for awhile, missing the opportunity to get him and his room because of camp.
Then I returned to find the world on fire. Everything was happy in the book, but not in real life. One last party was had.
It's been 2 years now. I never got up up level 100, only 97. I had over 100 characters. Ultimate Kars never joined my team and I got Caesar's sticker on the last day. My sticker book was full of teams. A house that used to have one room now had 15.
This game got me through hard times. Made me appreciate the characters of JoJo a little bit more. If not for this game I wouldn't know what it would be about. All things have to end at some point, even if we don't want them to.
And now I say, Goodbye. Thank you Pitter Patter Pop for being an amazing game. And if you read till the end, thank you for being here.

(part two because I couldn't contain myself)
— I said choosing a few characters was a challenge ,,, here is proof that i was telling the truth
oikawa tōru; bokuto kōtarō; tendō satori x fem!!reader
OIKAWA TORU
Tumblr media
he is cute with you in a way that no one who really knows him would expect
ironically he's always around girls at school, but he can't understand you at all sometimes
he always gives you a gift that the girls gave him to make you mad
you ENJOY teasing people together
The couple who just cAN't pick a movie on Friday nights
You always end up dancing at three in the morning with weird and exaggerated movements
he just gets jealous of Leonardo DiCaprio
you always fight, but they are silly fights and in the end you always laugh at the situation
I think you are a very aesthetic couple
he asks you to do makeup because he says his eyelashes are very beautiful and irresistible
If you neglect your phone, he will take advantage of it and take thousands of selfies
matching clothes !!
when you go shopping together and when you don't decide between two options he tells you "take both"
definitely help you to choose outfits for your own date
when you are not looking, choose something nice for you and only give it to you when you both arrive at your home
The fuckboy who kisses you against the wall, you love him though
this mf likes to play with your lips but then he acts shy and walks away leaving you wanting to be kissed
you hate him or love him, there's no middle ground
he is a boyfriend who will play mad when you do something stupid like being in the rain for too long, but he would be the first to prepare you a warm bath and dry clothes with the most real concern in his eyes
He always calls you "darling" and many tend to believe that it is a joke, especially the team, but you know it is not, even when he never clarified it
When both of you are really in a bad mood, you are the couple that give each other space for a while
You only spend time together after having a nice date, where Oikawa is much more affectionate and clingy than usual 🥺
He loves you kiss him every time a match ends, you always let him know he did a good job
When he is really obsessed with something that causes him to hurt himself physically and psychologically, he always seeks the breath of fresh air that only time by your side offers him
BOKUTO KOTARO
Tumblr media
he's a baby with you, don't try to change my mind
always seek your attention constantly
he always wants to see you smile, see you happy, see you laughing until your belly hurts
And he always tries his best to make this happen, because if there is something he hates the most, it is to see your sad face
invites you to sleepovers, where you wear matching pajamas
you always watch horror movies because he wants to overcome fear but it never works
you end up watching disney movies
you adore riding a bike with him on summer nights
your dates are usually in the park because he loves that place and more if you are by his side
when you go to a fair he always wins the game of aiming for a reward and you always come home with a teddy bear taller than him (cliche Bokuto is my favorite bokuto)
he always says that drinking smoothies together is a good way to end the day 🤝
he loves that you give him soft kisses on the neck, when you are lying in the same bed he always asks for them
at school you always want to do school projects with him but he is always distracted by your presence
In some classes the teachers even have to change your place because he doesn't stop talking to you
when a practice doesn't let him see you, he asks someone else to leave your favorite drink on your desk because he wants to imagine your smile when you see the detail
every time you guys fight he always apologizes with sweet food if he said something hurtful
he loves to see your smile smeared with sugar frosting and chocolate chips
Akaashi always thanks you when you go to a match, because you are the most effective method to get Bokuto out of his emo mood very quickly
At the end of the matches he usually wants to have a date with you to celebrate his victory or how much he fought to try to win
you always end up lost somewhere in Japan and taking lots of photos together
no matter where you are, he thinks that no city lights are more stunning than you ♡
TENDO SATORI
Tumblr media
he is special, we cannot deny it
he is even more special with you
sometimes he seems to know more about you than yourself
the truth is that he is always staring at you, learning a little about you every day
many of your classmates see him with some fear but you love that he is so interested in you
you are a rare couple, but you are very adorable together and understand each other perfectly
He always knows when you forget a book in your dorm, even when you didn't even notice
He likes to leave you notes about what he ate during the day and to let you know how much he misses your essence
you save each one of them
you usually watch cooking competitions together, like bake-off and then try to imitate food
he loves to guess the taste of your lip balm after kissing you, he is almost never wrong
if you asked him he would give you all his hoddies because you look so cute in them, his heart melts
you can never play card games because he ALWAYS guesses what you have and always beats you
tickles you to get what he wants, you're so weak in his arms
sometimes he sneaks into your dorm to talk about conspiracy theories and gossip that runs through the halls of shiratorizawa
once you saw him cutting out a lot of kitty stickers with wakatoshi and you were like ¿¿?? then he confessed to you that he dragged his best friend to help him with a surprise for you that was no longer a surprise
sometimes Wakatoshi asks you what to do when his friend is not feeling well because he recognizes that you know him better and he wants to help
whenever you and Tendo fight, you fix it a few hours later, sitting next to each other and sharing headphones while listening to the playlist you share together
For him, spending the night by your side is very special, because he remembers meeting you one night when he was full of sadness but you encouraged him so much that he ended up smiling
He always knows how to recognize your true feelings and never fails you, which you admire a lot, but the most important thing is that YOU also see his true feelings and it seems incredible to him since he usually hides his feelings under silly smiles
you share a very special silence, when that silence is there you know exactly what happens to the other and you do not need the words to know what to do
all you need are actions because you understand how much you love each other 🥺
🦋🦋🦋
ok I think Tendo's hc got longer but I was inspired by him, sorry, I hope you liked it :)

Sleepover (Inspired Oneshot)
When Luz had first asked her to sleepover, Amity had declined, saying her parents would never allow it. But later that day Amity had come back with a flushed face, asking if the offer was still available. Luz’s face lit up as it often did in excitement, and she pulled the fellow witch into a tight hug.
Luz didn’t even ask why or how Amity changed her mind, she was so happy to be able to hang out with the girl she didn’t care. Unbeknownst to her, Edric and Emira had found out and covered for their dear baby sister to go “Hang out” with her new “Friend”.
The rest of the school day wasn’t too eventful, Amity forced herself to focus on her assignments so she didn’t have to think about how hard it would be to stay calm in the presence of her crush. Luz however, was openly very excited, telling Willow and Gus about all her plans for the evening, allowed time for a mini Azura book club, some board games she had taken from the weekly human trash day, and a lineup of hilarious videos she picked out just for Amity.
“The last time and only time I ever really had a sleepover was the night of the moonlight conjuring! and I mean obviously that was fun, but it wasn’t as much of a sleepover as I expected.” Luz went on, crossing her arms loosely and smiling.
“Yeah, too bad we couldn’t come tonight…” Willow muttered, feigning disappointment. “All that sounds super fun too.” She likely could have came, but when she had heard Amity was able to go, she decided maybe the green haired WItchling and the clueless human could benefit from spending the time alone. Since Grom, hearing about their dance, and how Amity had acted since, she had guessed they liked each other.
“Aww, Willow…” Luz said with a smile, “...don’t worry, We will have a full owl house gang sleepover soon. I just gotta find out when Eda would be okay with it again.” She turned her attention back up to the teacher, while Willow turned back to Gus with a wink.
The poor illusionist was down, accepting of Willow’s plan, but still saddened he wouldn’t get to learn more about humans. Willow felt bad for making him miss out, but she couldn’t watch her two friends continue to dance around each other like they had been doing without losing her own mind. She offered the younger boy a comforting pat on the back.
The minute the bell rang, Luz was off, spinning around while running to wave goodbye to her friends, bumping into another student, then disappearing out the door and down the hallway. Willow just rolled her eyes with a smile.
Amity had debated on whether to wait for Luz, or to go home to pack a quick set of clothes for the next day. While debating however, Luz came bolting out the front doors of Hexside and skidded to a stop at her side, startling her into dropping one of her books.
“Oh gosh, sorry Amity!” The human apologized, quickly picking up and dusting off the book. “I didn’t mean to scare you. I’m just excited.”
Amity blushed, offering a small smile. “m-me too.” She took the book back, breathing deeply to calm herself. “I’ll have to just meet you back at the Owl House in a bit, I need to go home for a minute first.” SHe looked back up, concerned. “If that’s okay? Do humans have any rules about that?”
“not really?” Luz shrugged. “I can walk you that way, if you want. At least for a little. I know it’s probably not the best idea to get too close, in case your parents see you with me.”
“yeah…I think it would be better if I just walked alone.” the witch said sadly. “I’m sorry I have to kinda hide our friendship… at least, yknow, from them.”
Luz just smiled, making Amity’s heart speed up. “Don’t worry about it. I know you just want to make sure we get to stay friends. I’ll see you soon?” Luz turned just a bit, toward the Owl house.
“y-yeah.” Amity stuttered, mentally kicking herself for not being able to speak normally. “It shouldn’t be more than an hour.”
“Coolio!” she said with pep, starting to walk away, offering a cute little wave as she went. Amity watched for a moment before turning, covering part of her face with one of her hands in embarrassment.
“This is gonna be rough…” She murmured, as she started her walk home. Thankfully, she arrived quickly and escaped with only a tad of sibling teasing, shutting a door in their face as mild punishment. The walk to the Owl House was quiet and Amity was grateful, taking the time to psych herself up and calm herself down.
She emerged from some trees and there it was, hooty visible and poking at the ground for some reason that Amity didn’t really care to ask about. She walked up calmly, Hooty perking up.
“Amity! HOOT!”
“I’m here to see Luz, Bird tube.” she said flatly, getting uncomfortable even just looking at him.
“Aye aye! hooty hoot!” he opened the door, and she walked through, grateful to be done with him till the next morning. She turned to see Luz on the couch with King, drawing something with her tongue sticking out in concentration. Immediately her only thought was how cute it was.
Luz didn’t notice her for another second, looking up and brightening up again, leaving the art to walk over and pull her once again, into a hug. She wondered if she would ever get used to Luz’s touchy nature. She never minded, but the heat that rose in her face every time was something she hoped would fade.
The human pulled back, keeping her arms on her shoulders. “The walk okay? I mean- sorry, uh… that sounded weird. I meant like, the trip over here, walking…” She flushed, laughing at herself nervously. “...Nevermind it was a stupid question.”
“Its okay…” Amity chuckled back, smiling. “...what’s the plan?”
“I am SOOO glad you asked!” Luz answered, sweeping to the side it a goofily grande gesture. “Upstairs, we shall begin tonight’s activity’s!”
Amity laughed again, walking towards the stairs with Luz following close behind. “I just remembered I never came up here last time I was here... “
“Oh it’s nothing super secret or interesting. Me and Eda’s rooms are up here, and further up is just kinda... “ She stepped ahead, waving her hands. “...Magicaaaaal storage!”
Luz over took her on the stairs, silently leading her towards the balcony, where a handful of board games sat out, ready to be played. Amity tilted her head, and Luz turned to gesture at them.
“Some of the pieces are missing, so I improvised, but they're still playable. I even made a tiny Azura and Hecate, if you want to play one of them!” Luz looked excitedly back to meet Amity’s eyes, waiting silently for a response.
Again, the witch found herself flushing red. Did Luz mean to be this cute all the time? Of course not, she was just a stupid adorable human, Not aware of her effects on the poor green haired girl. “Thats really… sweet, Luz,” She managed after a minute. “ I’d love to learn how to even play. Is it complicated?” she glanced at the busy looking board.
“Oh no, it just looks that way. Here come sit, I’ll explain the basics and then anything I miss I’ll explain as we go.” She plopped down on the opposite side of the board from where Amity stood, waiting for her to sit.
A few hours later, they had managed to play two of the board games a couple times, and Amity had even won! though, she couldn’t be sure if Luz went easy on her that round to let her win. Which, either way, made her feel great. Her nervousness had faded, and while they played they discussed Azura. After a 7th or 8th round, Luz led her back by her hand to her bedroom, showing off some of her stuff that Amity hadn’t cared to look at when she came here the day of Grom.
They then ended up side by side leaning against the trunk holding Luz’s clothes, watching stupid videos that made the little witch laugh until she was crying, Luz smiling goofily everytime she did. It made her so happy to see the girl laughing and smiling and crying happily to stupid videos. A familiar gut feeling emerged after AMity doubled over laughing at a child running into a door, But the the human immediately pushed it down. Amity sat back up chuckling and the two met eyes, turning away collectively with blushes on their faces.
Luz was the first to speak, scooting forward and standing up. "It's getting a little late, give me a sec and I'll go get you a pillow and blanket." She walked out of the room, and Amity looked around the room again, trying to distract herself. She saw Luz's notebook for spells, the one she had during the Convention when they officially met. Next to it were prepped sticker spells like the one she used at Grom. A few Azura books layed lazily on top of each other not too far from that.
Luz came back in, plopping a soft looking blanket and a pillow down right next to her own sleeping mat. Amity almost asked why they were so close, but just watched Luz arrange it loosely into a decent sleeping place before plopping down and smiling.
The witch got up to take the few steps, pausing for a second and making a decision she wasn't even really sure about. But they were both tired. Maybe the memory would fade. She took a breath and looked away as she crouched, on her way to laying down. "Hey, Luz…"
"Yeah?" She replied, finally laid down and facing Amity.
"Have you ever thought about kissing a girl?" Her voice went a bit quieter, as if she was afraid of saying it for anyone to hear. She layed down, mirroring Luz's position and meeting her eyes.
The human girl froze, and for one of the first times ever, Amity saw her tanned skin flush into a full reddish blush. The pause made her nervous, waiting for Luz to answer, her mind racing silently through what she could say.
After another moment she smiled goofily but with a hint of nervousness to it. "Well, I am now." She breathed out a bit heavier than usual, almost a Huff of laughter.
Amity was quick to feel her face heat up. Of all her split second expected answers, that was not one of them. Oh god-
"Amity?" Her friend said, worried. She scooted closer, taking Amity's hands and looking concerned. "Are you okay?"
Her brain scrambled to find an excuse for her face, chuckling a bit as she did. "What, me? I'm fine! It was a dumb question-" it was fast. Luz was so close she felt like she was malfunctioning. That this nervous energy would consume her, maybe even kill her. This girl is gonna kill her by being this close. Another split second after that she felt she had to defend the fact she asked the question, and went off. "I mean- who likes y- girls, d-definitely not Amity Bligh-"
Luz had listened, a mixture of worried and confused, but feeling the same feeling in her gut from before. Is that what she was feeling? She wanted to kiss Amity? The rambling could go on, or she could… she didn't think much about it, grabbing Amity's face gently but firmly, and planting a kiss on her lips. For just a moment she stayed, then moved back, Amity freezing up.
Somehow her face managed to get redder, and Luz laughed at how cute it was. "Was that okay?" The witch continued to struggle to form a word, sputtering and freezing, blinking quickly while looking back at her. "Amity?"
Her heartbeat had never been more audible, and her brain was officially fried. Luz had kissed her. Her first kiss was with Luz. She was asking if it was okay. Form words, say yes, say something. But she just sputtered, and after a moment more she groaned, covering her face and shrinking up to try and hide her embarassment. This girl-
"I'm… I shouldn't have, Amity, I'm sorry… I just thought- and feelings-" Luz muttered out, trying to justify it, or make Amity feel better. Did she just screw everything up?
Amity shook her head, peeking and then moving quickly to pull the stupid human closer, hiding her face in her chest instead of her own hands. It was sort of relieving to know that her heart wasn't the only one beating fast, and she finally managed to speak. "N-no don't… I just- I really… uhm…" she breathed in and out one more time.
"I-i liked it…"

The next day, something seems off about Nari. She's dancing fine and her singing is fine but every once in a while she'll wince as though she's in pain, alarming her fellow band mates. At first, it wasn't obvious but as they practice more and more the sounds become more and more frequent. "Nari? Are you okay?" Osamu asks. "I'm fine." She replies, continuing to practice despite the fact that everyone stopped for a break.
"Nari is your foot hurting again? You told me you'd stop dancing on it when it hurt." Yejun asks, reminding Nari of the promise she made to them. "I'm fine, I don't know why you guys keep asking." She replies, continuing to run through the dance. After Yejun brought up her ankle, Hyejin started paying more attention to her footwork.
Due to Nari being made a trainee for the band while Osamu and Yejun were serving their time, Hyejin and Eun were the ones who watched her practice on her foot when it was at its worst. "Nari, stop before you make it worse." Hyejin tells her. "I'm fine!" She exclaims, her foot giving out as she finishes.
Osamu quickly catches her to ease her fall. "Have you not been wearing your brace after practice?" Eun asks. Nari is silent, her hands covering her face. "I'm taking her to the dorm, you guys order lunch for yourselves, we'll eat at the dorm and i'll be back in like fifteen to twenty five minutes." Osamu says, picking Nari up so she doesn't put weight on her ankle.
"Hyunggggg!!!!!" Someone yells down the hall. "What!?" Someone else yells back. "We're resuming practice!" The first person yells back. Nari looks but she doesn't see anybody in the halls to give away her soulmate.
"No walking, your crutches are still in your closet so I'll grab them. I want you to keep weight off of it until tomorrow because management isn't going to be happy if they get word that you haven't been taking care of yourself like you promised you would when you joined, they've already given you a warning once." Osamu tells her.
She just nods, trying not to focus on the pain. "From now until we finish preparing for the release I want your brace on all day unless you're showering or sleeping and I want you off it as much as possible, no practicing through water breaks, no walking around the dorm because you're bored, none of that. If it gets worse, tell management and go to a doctor." He says. Nari nods again, committing all the rules to memory.
Osamu makes her a sandwich and brings her her crutches and brace before he makes a sandwich for himself, saying bye and eating it while he's on his way out. Nari puts on music and just stares at the ceiling. A knock on the door gets her attention. She makes her way to the door, looking outside she sees a few familiar faces. She sighs, turning the lock and moving back.
"It's open." She says. The door opens and the boys walk in, greeting her and going to the living room. Jimin is the last to enter and he locks the door behind him. "I'm guessing Yejun sent you guys?" Nari asks, sitting on the couch and moving her crutches out of the way.
"Yeah, they didn't trust you to actually stay off your foot so they sent me over and when the maknae line heard they wanted to come with and Hobi came because he adores you and then Joon and Jin didn't want to be left alone so everyone came." Yoongi says. "Fun." She says. Airplane comes on and everyone vibes while Hobi sings along.
"What playlist is this?" Jungkook asks after the song finishes. "My liked songs, it's really long and I was planning on sitting there for a while." She says, the boys replying with nods, knowing about her hatred for silence. "Let's play some games!" Taehyung says, walking to the shelf in the living room.
"Why is there a Felix photo card up here?" He asks. "Thats where Hyejin put it! For easter we hid photo cards like they were easter eggs and I couldn't find Felix, thanks for that." Nari says. "Easter was months ago." Jimin says. "Yes, and we're still finding some, mostly ones that Eun hid because she couldn't remember where they were." She replies.
"Hobi, can you please get my photo card collection, it's the blue binder on the top shelf of the first bookcase, the left corner. The spine is labeled it says 'back off bitches' so it should be easy to find." She says. He nods and brings it back to her. She looks through it for the IN LIFE section. After a while of flipping she notices something.
"Uhh, Hobi can you bring me all the binders on the top two shelves and the black marker next to them?" She asks. Confused, Hobi nods and walks off, coming back with many binders. "I have to start labeling these..." Nari mumbles. On the blue ones she writes twice edition, continuing to label each binder with the proper band until she gets to Stray Kids.
She labels it and then flips to find where Felix belongs. "Okay, pass the Felix." She says. Taehyung hands her the Felix card and she places it back in its proper place. "Do you know how many more there still are left around?" Jin asks.
"Yes, we only used my photo cards because I have the most and I made everyone write who they took and which album it was from." Nari says, flipping to the back of the Stray Kids binder to find the paper.
"All the butter Namjoons, Dark and Wild Jimin, IN LIFE Hyunjin, Twicetagram Momo, all of my Taehyung, Bang chan, Sana, and Jake, and BE Hobi and Yoongi." She answers. "How many does that total out to?" Jungkook asks.
"Too many, wanna have a scavenger hunt? Whoever finds the most photo cards gets a free hug?" She suggests, knowing that everyone loves her hugs but she rarely hugs people. The boys agree and she sends them off, asking that they refrain from the bedrooms as they've all been searched extremely well. Jin brings back peaches and cream Joon after five minutes. "Where was he?" She asks. "The cereal cabinet behind the chex." He answers, going off to find more.
She writes a one next to Jin's name. When the other members come home, the BTS boys are still searching for photo cards. "What is going on?" Yejun asks. "They're finding all my photo cards that we couldn't find." Nari says. "How many are left?" Osamu asks.
"Peaches and cream Taehyung, Dark and Wild Taehyung, Twicetagram Sana, NOEASY Bang Chan, IN LIFE Hyunjin, and BE yoongi." She answers. "Oh wow so they found a lot." Hyejin says. "Mhm, who hid one behind the chex in the cereal cabinet?" Nari asks. "Me..." Eun answers. "How did this even happen?" Yejun asks.
"Taehyung wanted to play a game but instead he found IN LIFE Felix on the top game shelf and he asked me why there was a Felix photo card up there and then I brought up how many where missing and so they went to find them and whoever finds the most by dinner gets a free hug." She says. "Well, how long has this been going on?" Osamu asks.
"Since about fifteen minutes after you left." She replies. Osamu left three and a half hours ago. "They've been doing this four three hours and fifteen minutes?" He asks. "Yeah, but they're having fun and they like to tease each other when they find a card." She says. "HA! I found the last Sana!" Jungkook brags, presenting the card in a very extra way to Nari.
"Thank you very much." She smiles. He smiles back and goes back to trying to find more. "Five more minutes then I'm ordering dinner for everyone!" Hyejin yells. "You guys can check my room if you want to, I couldn't see on top the shelves where my old song books are!" Eun says.
"Feel free the check mine too because I'm short and couldn't find any in my room so there's probably at least one in there." Nari adds. Immediately Hobi and Yoongi go into the two rooms. When the food gets back there's only one missing photo card left.
"Who's missing? I cant eat knowing there's only one left." Jungkook asks. "IN LIFE Hyunjin." She says. He nods and immediately goes to the fridge. He climbs onto the counter and looks on top of the fridge. "Is his sleeve holo?" Jungkook asks. "No, mine are always in plain sleeves." Nari replies. "Well someone's got a Hyunjin pc up here in a holo sleeve." He says.
"Okay, mine are plain, Yejun has stickers on his, Eun uses colored sleeves, Osamu and Hyejin, who has holo?" Nari asks. "Mine." Hyejin says. "How did it end up there?" She asks. Jungkook hands it to her before he continues looking for the missing Hyunjin card. After Jimin finishes he goes to help Jungkook.
"FOUND IT!" Jungkook yells. "Thank you!" Nari replies. He brings it to her on the couch where she hasn't moved. She puts him in his place in the IN LIFE section of the SKZ binder. She adds the number to Jungkook and counts them up. "Jungkook wins by one photo card." She says. He does a happy dance and claims his free hug. "Free hugs for all Bangtan boys because they found all my missing photo cards." Nari says, giving each boy a hug before giving Jungkook a second one.
"You won so you get two." She says. After Jungkook eats, the Bangtan boys go home. Nari showers and then lays down on her bed, feeling content knowing her photo cards are safe in their respective places.

Boys Don’t Cry
Tumblr media
Steve Harrington x Male Reader
Tumblr media
Request:
Tumblr media
Prompt: “I came by your house late at night for advice and you’re dancing in your bedroom to The Cure and, not gonna lie, it’s pretty amusing.”
A/N: And the slowest writer ever award goes to: me. But ok Boys Don’t Cry is one of my favorite songs to dance to in an over-dramatic fashion while I’m alone in my bedroom. And I figured like. Why not.
TW: underage drinking, Guys Bein’ Dudes™️, slight language, you dated Nancy but the sexuality is never specified.
Tumblr media
Cliques were always dangerous. You never really fit in with any specific group. Fellow peers at Hawkins had just kind of dubbed you a wanderer. And for as much as the teachers liked you, you found yourself in detention quite a bit. Not because you actually started fights, but pissing off Steve Harrington was one of your favorite hobbies. And when Billy Hargrove moved to town, your focus simply shifted to tormenting him instead.
Steve would be lying if he said he didn’t miss the attention. For whatever reason, aggravating each other was the main basis of your friendship.
It was about third period and you’d come in to school late. The secretary noticed you weren’t at roll call for algebra or science, so she called your house. And before you could get to the phone your mother picked up and began screaming at you, whom she just assumed had already left, prompting you to get ready and leave.
The hallways were empty and it was fairly quiet, save for the noises of one of the gym classes going on. Your locker, unfortunately, was in the hall right beside the gym. Squeaks from sneakers and thuds from a dribbling basketball came from behind closed doors. Every time that damned ball hit your head throbbed more, still recovering from the party last night.
Tossing your Walkman inside, you began to grab out one of the books you’d need. English had been boring, but not as laggy as math and science. For a kid who was good with numbers you were surprisingly bad at the two subjects.
A sudden break in your thoughts came when a familiar face spotted yours and began to walk over. You could sense the uneasiness in the way he walked, normally he’d be trying to scare you. With everything in your hands, you nudged the door to your locker closed and waited for him to say something snarky as a greeting.
But he never did.
(E/c) orbs met dark brown ones. The light behind them was gone, now replaced with a sorrowful expression.
“You good?”
“Not really,” he sighed defensively.
“What’s got you—?”
Memories of the party from the night before came back in a blurred montage. Drinking, dancing, smoking, laughing, making out, repeat. You didn’t remember much, but at one point Nancy spilled her drink and went to the bathroom. What seemed like five hours later, Steve was pissed and ended up leaving.
“Oh, shit.” You visibly cringed.
“Look, I’m going to go talk to her.”
“It’s a wasted effort, man.” You reasoned. “Coming from somebody who’s been with her, just trust me.”
He always went to you for advice when it came to her. Nancy Wheeler was a very complex person, but you two dated for a while, and you kind of knew everything. A breakup came after about ten short months when you grew apart, but after a bit of a chat you two decided to stay friends.
The brunette shook his head slightly and glared. Reaching a hand up to pinch at the bridge of his nose, he muttered something about just getting it over with. You opened your mouth to speak just when the secretary stepped out, a less than pleased look on her face.
“(L/n), you better get to class before you end up with another detention. You too, Harrington.”
A small smirk crossed your features. “Aww, that’d be such a shame, huh?”
Steve quickly sauntered off, presumably to talk to Nancy, and you were left with the secretary. The look in her tired eyes that reached your own pleaded for you to just shut up and go to class.
“They aren’t paying me enough for this,” she groaned.
The smirk on your face morphed into a full shit-eating grin, then prompting you to make your way down the hall and into your English class. Just another average day would follow, nothing out of the ordinary.
Tumblr media
Later that evening as you got home, you decided it would be best to unwind and listen to music. Nobody else was home, your parents both at work, so that meant you could do pretty much whatever you wanted. Reaching your beat up door, you began to tug your denim jacket off and toss it onto the chair in the corner.
Everything about the room was overdone; posters adorned the off-white walls, the pictures overlapping at times, and stickers thrown onto the closet door. Two large bookshelves were filled to the brim with your music collection, some sketchbooks, and whatever other junk you had that couldn’t be left on the floor.
Nancy always hated your room but that was to be expected. It didn’t bother you much, you’d rather be at her house anyways.
You shut the door and began to change into something a bit more comfortable, wondering what you’d do with yourself for the remainder of the night. Ordering a pizza sounded pretty good, considering nobody was home and you didn’t want to cook. Most nights alone you’d end up watching TV, playing video games, and then crash at about 2 AM. A vicious cycle, one you never grew tired of.
Without thinking, you reached over and grabbed your phone from the receiver and dialed Steve’s number. It seemed like a good idea at the time, the two of you could hang out for a bit without getting yelled at.
Last time he was over, your parents came home earlier than anticipated and found the two of you sat on the couch, drunk, reading through the phone book (for whatever reason), only to just lose your shit whenever you saw a name that sounded even mildly amusing.
The phone rang a few times before eventually being picked up.
A sigh could be heard. “What?”
“Hey, loverboy. I’m ordering pizza tonight. You wanna come over and hang out?”
“Are we going to get our asses ripped this time?” The brunette retorted.
A fake laugh came from you. “That was one time, so are you coming or not?”
There was a minute long pause between you two. No matter how much you annoyed each other, you were one of his weaknesses. And pizza was something that he couldn’t say no to.
“Fine, but—”
“Great! See you in a few.” You chirped and practically smashed your phone back onto the base.
Steve lived only a couple streets down from you. You met back at the beginning of elementary school, both of you riding the same bus. Neither you, nor him, could really remember when you started to consider the other a ‘friend’. But it mainly had something to do with him and Nancy being a couple.
Since she and you dated before and were still close friends, somehow you ended up becoming the marriage counselor along the way.
But hey, the more the merrier, right?
Your mind couldn’t help but drift sometimes. Steve was pretty cute in your eyes, even with his weird hair. Generally the same taste in music, shows, movies, and obviously the same taste in girls. And although he was stupid (sometimes), he was a good dude.
It wouldn’t take long for him to reach the house. In the meantime you decided it would be best to put in the order for the pizzas. A quick call to the nearest shop, and they’d deliver it as soon as it was done.
After scanning through some music, you finally settled on one: a mixtape of your favorite songs from The Cure. You popped it in with no hesitation and set your player to max volume. The intro to Siamese Twins rang out in your bedroom, the beat eventually making all of the furniture thud in perfect time. Glass window panes shook as well, you’d probably have the neighbors complaining in the morning.
Your feet guided you around the house aimlessly as you searched for something to drink, the sound of music becoming more muffled as you entered the kitchen. It reminded you of the party a few nights ago, but far less stuffy. And with better music.
“I chose an eternity of this; like fallen angels, the world disappeared,” you sang slightly to yourself as you rummaged through the cabinets.
Nothing.
Onto the fridge, stocked full of Coke and other stuff you didn’t much care for. Nobody
Meanwhile, down the street, Steve could hear loud music coming from your street. Which was odd, if there was a party he would’ve known about it. Upon further inspection he realized it was coming from your house. The sun was already starting to set behind said abode, nestling itself deeper and deeper into the rows of houses that occupied the area.
The Harrington boy stepped a bit closer and took in the view; your house covered in orange and red tinted leaves, the living room and kitchen lights shining through their respective windows. Your silhouette moved about inside, gracefully, to the beat. Almost like a shadow with perfectly fluid movements.
His focus shifted to the porch lights, then the door, the doorbell, and back again. He only assumed your parents weren’t home but he wasn’t sure, although with as loud as the music was, ringing the doorbell or knocking wouldn’t have done any good anyways. It took him a bit to move, then walking around to the darkened backyard where he counted the windows.
The first one was your parents’ room (he learned the hard way), the second belonged to the bathroom, and finally, the third was the entrance to your bedroom. He glanced down, careful not to step on the flowers, then maneuvered his way around to find a spot where he could see through the gap blinds. What he got was something out of a renaissance painting.
You with your mom’s pearl necklace and matching earrings draped carelessly, your shirt all the way unbuttoned, and a wine glass in your hand. To top it all off, your hair was a mess, but complemented the askew lipstick that painted your lips. Your hips swayed back and forth in a graceful yet drunken manner. Inside, Boys Don’t Cry came on the stereo.
Each step you took was calculated to sync with the beat, the only thing that could’ve made it more amusing was if you would’ve been wearing heels.
“What is that moron doing?”
“I would say I’m sorry
If I thought that it would change your mind
But I know that this time I have said too much,
Been too unkind,”
You sang along, a slurred version not being heard by the other male as he watched from the window. Brown eyes were fixated on your form as you leapt up onto the bed, forcing a bit of a stumble from yourself. After almost toppling over, you continued on.
“I tried to laugh about it, cover it all up with lies
I tried to laugh about it, hiding the tears in my eyes cause—”
“Boys… don’t cry.” Steve finished.
In the midst of the dancing spree you turned and locked eyes with said boy. The room was swaying about and took a minute to stop, your vision focusing on him. Each step you took closer to the window made your knees feel weaker, but somehow you managed to pull the screen up to let the other boy in.
The room was almost like a time capsule; nothing really moved or touched since the last time he’d been there, the only difference being the clothes that had been strewn across the floor. Sudden weight on the bed caused it to dip behind him. When he turned, your body was draped gracefully across the dark (color) sheets. Almost something out of an erotic painting, the clash of textures and colors alike.
Originally, the plan had been to come to wallow in self pity and ask for advice about Nancy. Now all he could think about was you, tipsy, singing along to music so loud it would rival an actual concert.
“You—you want a sip?” You shouted over the lyrics, somewhat slurred.
Steve thought about it for a minute, taking glances at your extended hand every so often. A slight sigh escaped him, then taking the glass and downing whatever was left. He started coughing and gagging as a result of the cheap liquor hitting, but didn’t care too much to do anything besides wipe his mouth off.
Everything in that moment was fuzzy, and loud, and warm. Time was stopped for you two. Nothing really mattered except the exact moment you were living in. Not some dumb party, not some spoiled suburban girl, and most certainly not being sober.
Steve’s hands fell to his hips. The newfound anxiety on his face made you wonder, but still too afraid to ask.
“Is there more to drink?”
“Yeah, in the kitchen… come on.”
Everything that happened afterwards became a blur of colors and muffled noises. Almost like going under anesthesia in the hospital, you couldn’t really remember what went on until something triggered it. And from then on you’d spend your time wondering if it was real or not, trying so hard to distinguish a vivid dream from a drugged reality.
One thing happened to stand out. The single thing you could remember.
Not so many hours later, bottles of liquor had been spread across the floor and the lights turned off. The music that once blared and annoyed the neighbors was turned down now, a much softer volume. Melodic hums came from your lips as Steve ranted about Nancy. The party, it was all because of the stupid party.
“— and, I mean, I apologized. Me. Steve fucking Harrington.”
After what seemed like four rounds too many, his speech was slurred.
Steve buried his face in his hands.“I don’t know what I did wrong…”
“You didn’t do any-anything wrong, man. Nancy just... has a stick up her ass, nothing new.” You assured him with a soft shove to the shoulder.
Your eyes met for a brief moment, his hands sliding down the sides of his face. A pitiful laugh found its way from his throat, soon after turning into something far more maniacal. Something about the situation was funny to you as well.
But not what you had said about Nancy, no. What made you laugh was the look on this idiot’s face, perfectly illuminated by the neighbor’s porch lights. How he slid down deeper onto your floor, ribs aching from giggling too hard. Though he was drunk, the smile plastered on his face was genuine.
Two separate roars were only extinguished after a few minutes, but at the time it felt like hours. You attempted to regain your composure but it was hard when his face was right next to yours. Once perfect brown hair was now askew, the result of the perfect night in. Eyes in the color to match brimmed with tears from laughing, something he felt like he hadn’t done in a while. Nearly perfect skin and perfect lips almost begging for some action; it was too amazing.
“If I didn’t know better I’d say you wanted to make out with me…”
It took a minute for his words to sink in. Even in the dark he could see the red flush rise to your cheeks. You swallowed a bit, hand rising to comb through (h/c) locks anxiously. Harsh shadows covered your (s/c) face but even then Steve could still tell you were biting your lip.
It seemed he had his answer.
“Oh,”
“Yeah, oh,” you mirrored.
Everything happened what felt like hours later, but at the same time, all at once. Your bodies had been forced together, the taste of long forgotten cheap wine playing on your tongues. His hands reached up to tangle gently in your hair, all while yours gripped desperately at the lapels of his denim jacket.
The kiss was soft and messy, but whether it was the alcohol’s fault or the fact he was nervous was anybody’s guess. For whatever reason, Steve expected it to feel different but it didn’t. The kiss was just that; a kiss. Not a kiss with a boy, just a kiss.
Clumsily, he straddled your lap to get a better angle. It still felt the same. The time had come to an end, your lungs begging for air, forcing the two of you to pull back. His shoulders heaved, the room only being filled now with the slight sound of you both panting.
(E/c) hues opened to take in the view. Steve Harrington straddling your lap, breathless, disheveled, only being lit by the light that came through the window. The grip you had on his jacket slowly loosened, only to be stopped by his hand on yours. Red lipstick that once adorned your lips was now shared. The Cure that played in the background had finally come to a complete stop. But the gaze Steve had on your lips didn’t, especially when he began to lean in again.
“Don’t tell Nancy,”

Everything You Are (Yoon Jeonghan)
I am...the worst. I’m literally so busy with everything in my life that I’m AWOL on most of my social media and I haven’t responded to anything or anyone. I’m iffy about this but I needed to post. And a happy birthday to our ever wonderful Kim Mingyu! Credits to owners for the gifs. -Bee
Word count: approximately 5100

March 31st: present day
“So,” Mingyu said in the midst of slurping his noodles, “what are we doing for the greatest day in the world?” The hotness burned his mouth, but that only prompted him to shove more inside than he could (literally) chew. He almost choked when he locked eyes with Minghao, who only stared at him in confusion.
Jihoon shook his head. “The greatest days in the world are those that don’t require alarm clocks and we won’t be getting those anytime soon.” He swiped a piece Soonyoung’s fish with his fingers, playing with it and then eating it before telling Wonwoo to high five him, which his elder declined and moved away. (Not that stopped him from throwing lettuce.)
“April has great days...earth day, Easter Day, April Fools Day, Arbor Day...Mingyu sunbaenim’s day.” He shrugged. “You know, just to name a few.”
“Those don’t sound like fun though.” Seungkwan.
“No one asked you.”
“Then why are you asking?”
“Are you really gonna brush off my special day?” He placed his chopsticks on the bowl when half of his brothers nodded, sticking out his lower lips in a pout. “But oh, we had to take the maknae to out to a movie and give him this fancy dinner and buy him everything he pointed at.” He ruffled Chan’s hair affectionately and rested his head on said boy’s shoulder.
“Did you have anything in mind?” Joshua.
“We haven’t done a proper birthday in awhile. And we haven’t really talked to any of our other friends besides when we bump into them at the shows, so I was thinking we invite them all and just hang out. Maybe bust out a cake, a piñata.” He counted his fingers as he ticked off his plans. “And either get some takeout or pizza. Oh! And we can hire strippers!” At that, he had everyone’s attention.
“Why the hell…” Minghao shook his head. “Never mind.”
“It’ll be funny to throw them off.” He slammed his hand down in front of Jeonghan who sat across from him.
He jumped, clearly not expecting to be acknowledged by the dongsaeng. “What?”
“Can you invite Y/N?”
“Y/N?”
“Yeah. You remember Y/N, don’t you? The best friend you swore you never had? The one you kept away from us for a long ass time? The one who’s currently somewhere in South America since your last update? How long ago was it that we hung out?”
Jeonghan swallowed subtly. “Oh that Y/N. I’ll see what I can do.” He offered his best version of his mischievous smile. “It has been a while, hasn’t it?” Give or take six months if you don’t count birthdays. “But do you really want that?”
“Hyung, I don’t ask for anything except for clean dishes and rooms. I can’t even remember the last time we had a conversation that didn’t start and end with ‘I miss you’, and that’s just on Instagram!” He rubbed his eyes, “We were all friends too, not just you two.” Mingyu’d mumbled that last part so lowly, anyone would’ve missed it if they weren’t paying attention. But they didn’t know you didn’t speak anymore.
April 6th: three years ago
“Dinosaurs?” Seungcheol asked in disbelief as he saw Jeonghan’s choice in balloons. “You’re getting a grown-ass man balloons in the shape of a dinosaur?”
“It’s his birthday,” Jeonghan shrugged. “You know better than to deny Mingyu anything…”
“You binge-watch The Land Before Time one time-”
“No, apparently it was the Disney movie Dinosaur.”
“Disney did not do a dinosaur movie. I would remember...I had a phase until I was 11!” Though the T-Rex sticker on his phone was a subtle reminder of his younger days in Daegu that he never quite outgrew it.
“If I’m gonna have to fight you on this, at least get me a soda and a bag of chips.” He pulled out his phone, typed in the movie in question and watched Seungcheol’s face scrunch up in disbelief in amusement. “Pay for lunch too while you’re at it.” Jeonghan then turned his attention to the person at the register. “Hi, how are you today?”
“Hi, I’m good. How are you?”
“Another day in paradise. I have a question. Are these all you have?”
“Yeah, a few others came in about-” A quick look at the clock, estimating a time, “maybe 20 minutes ago, and took just about everything. Are dinosaurs like a thing here?”
“Not that I know of.” Jeonghan found himself squinting his eyes. “Are you new here?” He asked when he realized he didn’t recognize you.
“Overall, yeah. I’m not too crazy about switching jobs but I need to survive, especially when I don’t get enough. C’est la vie, you know?”
No, he wouldn’t. The Louis Vuitton wallet in his pocket confirmed it. He watched as you blew up the foil balloons and rang up everything. He didn’t miss the way your eyes widened slightly when he saw the designer logo on the leather material nor when he handed you his American Express card Joshua convinced him to get when they were in America. “Thank you,” he finally said when he signed his name on the receipt.
“Thank you. Have a nice day.”
Not one to make impulsive decisions, he surprised himself by scribbling some information on a scrap of paper and handing it to you. “This is an address from where we work. I don’t know if they’re looking for anyone, but if you tell them Jeonghan sent you, they’ll find you something.” His angelic charms hadn’t failed him yet, and he’d be damned if this started now. “Don’t hesitate to call me, uh-”
“Y/N.”
“Y/N.” He could feel Seungcheol tugging on his sleeves. “Well, it was nice to meet you.”
“Same here. Thanks for this, really.”
“We’ve been there and done that. It’s no problem.”
*April 2nd: present day
Mingyu’s constant question of, “Have you called? Have you called? Have you called?” played like a broken record inside his head throughout the day, irritating him more than he cared to admit, the longer he thought about it. He hadn’t bothered trying because he knew it would go straight to voicemail and it’s not like Mingyu would find out if he didn’t. You wouldn’t have broken your evading streak...well, besides calling for a happy birthday...scratch that, Mingyu would have Jeonghan’s head for that. It was late when he got home, Seokmin’s King Arthur rehearsal taking up more time than he thought it would. He had already flopped into bed, granted, the yellow toothbrush dangling dangerously from his lips as he tried not to gag from the baking soda when he saw his phone light up with a notification. You had uploaded a video from your time on your tour. Jeonghan found himself shaking his head, feeling a smile forming. Who would’ve thought you were gonna end up as a famous YouTuber when you’d struggled with jobs in the past.
He loved seeing how happy you’ve been looking, despite the fact you’d never smile the same way again. He laughed at your introduction, eating whatever you scrambled together at that moment, rambling a bit and then diving into your story, not even realizing he was dialing your number at three am, foam dripping into his sheets and hoping for once in your life, you’d pick up. With every passing ring, he felt nervous. He figured it’d play a key role in where you stood at the moment. Just when he was about to give up, he heard someone pick up, his heart pounding with anticipation on how this could go.
“Hello?”
*
Jeonghan swore it took you four days to actually show up to Pledis Entertainment studios, and his charismatic streak lived to see another day. And because you were recommended by him, the head of said Pledis only saw it fair that you become an assistant to not just him, but the entire group. It scared you for the first few weeks, what with learning their names to figuring out who spoke which language to who was in charge, you considered yourself lucky that you didn’t crack under the pressure. It wasn’t because they looked much too perfect to be real (though it was a factor), but because your world flipped upside down when you realized Seventeen were kpop idols, not part of the staff.
The boys were friendly, thankfully enough. Seungkwan, Seokmin, and Soonyoung were obviously the ones who welcomed you the fastest and the ones who spoke for everyone else when it came to opinions and the ones who made sure the rest had an ounce of energy to get through the dance or song or whatever required physical exertion. Hansol, Wonwoo, and Jihoon eyed you dubiously at first as if waiting for you to expose yourself as a sasaeng or someone who worked for a sleazy tabloid magazine. They watched your every move whether on break or on call and had Jeonghan not confirmed the story of him reaching out to you, they would’ve continued to give you the cold shoulder until you quit. Once you gained their trust, everything simultaneously fell together and apart.
For starters, any requests made had to go through the ‘95 line. It wasn’t necessarily ice cream for dinner stuff, but if so and so could come in late the next day because they wanted breakfast. Four books and a game console were always required in their dressing room when they were scheduled to perform. They could never decide on what they wanted to snack on before they were due on stage, so you’d find yourself running back and forth to satisfy their cravings. (Though you did notice that vocal unit had a soft spot for gummies.)
Because you were still getting used to the boys’ hectic schedule, they left you in the hands of the Nu’est boys while they attended KCon in the late summer. While it meant learning the names of more boys, you preferred that over fucking things up because of jet lag and possibly getting fired for not being able to follow instructions. (Though the vibe was different than what you were used to, you were glad you treated you just as well as Seventeen. The only difference was that they used your respected honorific instead of just “Y/N” and you were home a little after midnight as opposed to two, three am.)
It was the ongoing prank war between Jonghyun, and Jeonghan that got the ball rolling between you and Jeonghan. Jeonghan had texted you to see if you could swipe Jonghyun’s water bottle and replace it with vodka he had smuggled into Jihoon’s locker and to send him the reaction when he drank it and in return, he’d bring you back something from the (not so) great Los Angeles. Instead, he found himself sending you pictures of Six Flags Magic Mountain, and the famous Santa Monica Beach and how beautiful the ocean looked from above the Ferris Wheel and began looking forward to your text messages and your overall company while you were on opposite ends of the world. He realized how much he missed having someone to talk to that wasn’t the 12 boys he loved and how it had been a while since he felt attracted to someone, felt wanted.
Upon coming home, you surprised each of them with a single balloon and new speakers for when they practiced a new choreography and they treated you to a late late-night dinner and a million stories. (Jonghyun got Jeonghan back the following day by shoving all the baby powder he could manage on the inside of Jeonghan’s towel.)
Jeonghan managed to keep your flirtationship inconspicuous, both on the clock and off although the fact that everyone played a part in treating you special (because one on one things became a common affair.) No one really had a second thought when you started carpooling with him because you lived in the same neighborhood and nobody said anything when he asked you to help him bring all the cup holders containing coffee and tea. And nobody had any questions when you and Jeonghan would smile at your phones during their practice break. (That was mostly due to the fact that he sent links to everyone in their group chat.) He’d wink at you when everyone was watching and playing it off as you being their favorite assistant.
The first time he kissed you was on Halloween during a party hosted by Pledis. It could’ve been the fact that it was a day no one was themselves or because the vibe was stress free but all you knew was that one minute you were fighting over the last can of beer and the next, he had you pressed against the counter and shuddering from the way your hands tangled in his hair. He remembered admitting that he had wanted to do that for a while. He would’ve leaned in again, but he heard someone coming in and he stole the can from you and skipped away, bumping into one of the boys but he forgot who. From then on, he’d kiss you whenever he felt like it, always making sure that no one was around. He liked the feeling of sneaking around, knowing that while recording was going on in one room, he’d be in the broom closet next door with you, fighting for air and grasping at whatever you could. And it was an unspoken thing to never mention what you had going on, which you naïvely agreed to because it was Yoon Jeonghan, the angel and the boy whom you couldn’t say no to.
Jeonghan knew it was reckless and irresponsible what you were doing but he couldn’t stop. It felt different than he was used to. He had someone at the palm of his hand. He felt something for you and he had planned to pursue it as long as possible, although that plan was short-lived.
April 3rd: present day
Why Jeonghan had picked to meet you by the street vendor who sold snow cones, he didn’t know, but it would’ve been better than looking like he was sneaking around. He sipped on his sofa, letting the fizziness calm his nerves. He couldn’t believe you agreed to meet with him. While he waited, he took pictures with the lucky Carats who found him completely by chance and even Jonghyun, who he hadn’t had the chance to say a proper hello to since...it felt like forever ago due to increasing demand of kpop and how they rarely saw each other outside of Pledis because of it. Their war was no longer a counted thing, but they enjoyed pulling their pranks here and there for the sake of nostalgia. (The matching scars on their pinkie fingers being a subtle sign of their idiocy.)
He didn’t know how long he waited, but it was worth it when you tapped his shoulder, waiting for him to respond. He knew seeing you would be a shock, but he didn’t expect for his vocabulary to fly out at the window and stare at you dumbfounded, nor for his first reaction to just reach out and grab you in a hug.
He missed this so much. He was a fool to think he could’ve fucked with your mind and expect you to be okay with it. He lived with the regret of lying to you when he said he wasn’t in love you everyday and when you hugged him back, he swore he saw his future flash before him. You pulled away first, expecting him to say something. “Hi.”
“You called me up at three am just to tell me that. Now, what is it?”
“I miss you.” Well, not the greatest start, but it’s something.
“I miss you all too. How is everyone? Congrats on the comeback by the way. You guys doing great.” You broke eye contact with him, peering past him.
He waved off your praise. “We’re all good thanks. I just wanted to talk to you about Mingyu. He, ah-” He scratched the back of his head. “He just wanted you to know that he’s having a party on Saturday and he’d love for you to stop by.” And he would too. Maybe, he’d be able to talk to you then.
“Saturday?” You racked your brain to see if you had any commitments for the day, coming up short. “I don’t think I’m doing anything, but I’m not sure I should go,” you admitted. Talking to Jeonghan always brought out your honest side, even when it was best to lie, like now. But the irony was that Jeonghan was the master of deception. You’d know. You’d fallen under his spell one too many times to not know him.
“Why?”
You shook your head. “Jeonghan, hhhhhh, never mind. You wouldn’t understand. I’ll see.”
“Wait.” He stepped closer to you, taking off your scarf and readjusting it so it’d look right. “There.” He was close, really close like he could smell the winter mint chewing gum you had in your mouth. If he really wanted to, he could steal a kiss, something he hasn’t done in so long. So he went for it.
Only instead of getting caught up in the moment like you were used to, you stopped him. “I can’t do this again.”
“Why? You afraid your boyfriend’s gonna see you?”
“As a matter of fact, he will, and I’d appreciate me doing myself a favor and not fucking this up too. Goodbye Jeonghan. I have to go; excuse me.”
Late December: three years ago
Jeonghan loved to admit it and he would always say it: he enjoyed watching you stress over birthdays because everything seemed inadequate due to their lavish lifestyle. But he expressed his appreciation from the homemade card and a new phone case and he saw the appreciation in the boys’ eyes when they opened theirs. And once he saw how you were fretting over Joshua (because “what the hell do you give an American boy who sings show tunes and eats his soup with a fork?”) he gave you clues as to what his best friend out on several wishlists. Once you figured out what to get him, you ordered it and the day it was to come, you invited Jeonghan to your place after they were done for the night to get his opinion.
And one moment you were showing him a thing of the Hollywood sign and the next, you were a tangled mess of limbs on the couch and Jeonghan knew he had crossed the line. Even worse was his realization that all he wanted was a friendship with you. So he ghosted you that night and gave you the excuse that Soonyoung needed everyone in the practice early. (Which wasn’t true, of course, because performance unit were recording their song while the remaining two basically had a free day.) From there began the end. Suddenly, he felt that everything you did had an ulterior motive to wanting an actual relationship and he started feeling annoyed with your presence and gave you the cold shoulder.
You knew everything that had happened before that was a mistake but it didn’t stop you from trying for more. Your feelings for Jeonghan ran deep and you would’ve sworn you had fallen in love but you bottled it up, letting him take the lead. The way he ignored you broke your heart and you weren’t as cheerful, nor did you treat the boys to anything like before. Your quieter than usual manner worried them, once Seungcheol going as far as asking if you wanted to see a doctor before they had to leave for the airport, which you declined, blaming your mattress for lack of sleep. You bid them a fun trip and to let you if they needed anything done while they were away.
While away for three months, Jeonghan texted you on occasion, mostly for business (and once in a while to fulfill his pranks) and how to handle some personal affairs. Again the distance made him miss you so he tried to keep you close, but he couldn’t; not when you eagerly replied to him and sent him photo after photo of irrelevant things, once again thinking you could regain what you had. He didn’t really blame you since he was the one who initiated your affair (if you could even call it that) but he knew if he continued to go down that road, the basis of your friendship would go up in flames. So he began looking for companionship in the wrong places, self-destructing himself in a way, not that he told you any of this. As far as you were concerned, he went straight to bed after a long day. He did, however, try to set you up with the pizza girl who delivered to Pledis but when that backfired, you yelled yourself to the point where Jonghyun sent you home until you could talk without killing yourself. (Seventeen still left you with Nu’est at this point because they liked how you worked with them, and it didn’t seem right to let you go with them when Nu’est was just as busy.)
When they came home it was only for a month before they were needed in Japan for promotional purposes and they left you once again. Jeonghan had only vaguely talked about his actions, but still felt guilty and tried to make it up to you while he was gone. The plus side was that he got to know you on a deeper level and understood the way you were and promised to help you help others because he saw it’s when you were your happiest. The long calls started again and it felt like old times. The downside was that no matter how much you opened up to him, he never did, so he never told you about his love interest who was nothing like you and let you believe something could happen when he came back home. True to his word, when he came home, he decided the fastest and easiest way to help people was to start your own YouTube channel and he readily provided the audience.
Two months into your unofficial commitment, YouTube’s management contacted you about being interested in making a career out of it and once you expressed your interest, they wrote down your information and told you they’d be in touch. You burst through the doors to Pledis that day, ready to shout from the rooftops about that, smoke all but visible behind you as you ran to Seventeen’s wing, and when you threw the doors open, there was Jeonghan in the middle of a tonsil hockey game with someone you’ve never seen and it was all you could do to not make a sound and just walk away quietly. You managed to sneak out of the building unseen and call Seungcheol that you came down with something and wouldn’t make it.
For three days, you stayed in bed, not eating or drinking anything, just crying your heart out for letting him lead you on. You would’ve gone the whole week like that, had one of your friends not forged a note from the doctor they worked with saying you needed bed rest and when you came back, they jumped at you, wanting to know why you didn’t say anything about being sick sooner, and you thanked your higher power at how oblivious they could be. And then Jeonghan had the audacity to stoke your hair, playfully telling you you looked like shit and you visibly flinched away from his touch, blaming it on a nonexistent headache. And suddenly your good news didn’t seem so good when you told them and bless Seungkwan’s heart when he asked if it meant you were quitting which you nodded sadly, and that meant a party for everyone.
That party was held the following month, in which your heart felt heavier than the day prior because of how Jeonghan acted like nothing had happened, and you suppressing everything. The boys bought liquor and alcohol like it was the end of the world and you used that opportunity to drink the image away. Not your brightest idea you’ll admit since you ended up hooking up with Joshua when he tried telling you that you had too much to drink and you begging him to make you forget.
And that was only the beginning of your own self-destruction, falling deeper in the rabbit hole, the closer your days as Seventeen’s assistant ended and the closer you became an influencer. The bags under your eyes never faded, feeling more sluggish by the day. You had only coffee in your system, not being to stomach food. Your headache never went away and you couldn’t stop crying. Everything hurt; there was no remedy for your pain.
Naturally, you worried everyone until Jeonghan confronted you and didn’t let you leave until you told him what the hell happened. He pushed you to your limit, finally telling him everything you felt, everything you saw, how nothing seemed to matter, to which he yelled at you, words feeling like venom as he spewed his own thoughts and piercing deeper into your heart and disintegrating parts of your soul. He cared about you, but not in that way. You were a wonderful person but you weren’t his type. He wished he could change everything but he was happy who he was with. He regretted everything because he was afraid this would happen.
You quit the next day but that wasn’t the last time you saw Jeonghan. He didn’t last much longer with his fling and his first reaction to the split was to call you, even though you had to work on your first ever video where you worked with introductions and whatnot. You had the faint naïve hope for reconciliation each time he called you up when something went wrong, each time ignoring the fact you were nothing more than an emotionally unstable human blinded by your love and him taking advantage of that. On Halloween of that year, you quit him cold turkey after sleeping with him one last time, realizing that he was nothing more than someone who fed off your energy and you couldn’t keep living like that, not when you had so much to offer the world and knowing you had a younger audience watching your movements.
It took time but you finally managed to get him out of your system.
You didn’t hate him. How could you when he not only made you but was a friend when you needed him? You wished him nothing but the best because at one point he was the best to you though it took a while to admit you were angry. It took you some time but you dedicated a special video for your situation, not mentioning his name for the sake of his image.
April 6th: present day
During that time, Jeonghan learned just exactly what he lost, and his mistake was meeting you again after those six months. He had grown up and he had hoped you would see past it and give him one more chance. He was lonely; he knew that now. All he wanted was for you to hold him one more time. He remained skeptical about you having a boyfriend though. You never mentioned it to anyone, so he chalked it up to you lying.
He didn’t expect you to show up tonight. He didn’t expect to stop singing his duet with the birthday boy to open the door and you forcing a smile on your face when you saw him. Jeonghan couldn’t even say hello because in that moment tipsy Mingyu came to the rescue and hugged the hell out of you, scolding you for hiding away and not even bother to check in on them and then enveloping you in a bone-crushing hug, swinging you back and forth and actually hearing your bones crack at his strength and laughing like his night couldn’t get any better. Everyone surrounded you, asking questions and catching up and you enjoying yourself, gossiping with Pristin and BlackPink, playing musical chairs with Monsta X, swapping stories with BTS and complaining to Seventeen when Nu’est was arriving because you were here for them. It was everything you needed: a fun night catching up with old friends.
Eventually, you ended up in the kitchen, looking for a water bottle to soothe your throat, coughing in an attempt to catch your breath from laughing so hard and bumping into Jeonghan, who was serving himself a slice of cake. “Great night?” He asked you, motioning for you a take a piece which you accepted.
“The best. I missed everyone. It felt like old times.”
He had to agree. “The only difference is we’re not hiding away, eager to rip each other’s clothes off.”
“And it’ll stay like that.” You wrinkled your nose at his words. You’d never felt awkward around him, but now knowing everything was different, you didn’t know what to say. He knew you well, and at one time you, him. He put his hand over yours as if he knew what you were thinking and you retracted it just as fast. “I-”
“Are you sure you have a boyfriend? The words were out before he could even stop himself. “Or are you just giving me an excuse?”
“Yeah, I do. And I’d appreciate you not doing this anymore. I’m not who I used to be.”
“I love who you used to be.”
“I don’t. You made me hate myself.”
“I’m sorry.” He had never apologized for causing you grief before tonight.
“Y/N! You made it after all!” The familiar voice of Jonghyun filled the room.
“It’s for the one and only Kim Mingyu. I wouldn’t dare.”
“Well my love, you look perfect. I’m sorry I’m late.” He kissed your hair, his eyes widening in pleasant surprise when he saw you weren’t alone. “Jeonghan-ssi! I hope I wasn’t interrupting anything.”
He wanted to call out his seonbae for his latest prank, wanted to tell him he got him good. But judging from the way he pulled his arm around your waist, he knew it wasn’t. The cake in his mouth felt dry and found himself choking when he tried to swallow as you left with him.
He took shots the rest of the night, each time he saw you laughing at his words, every time he saw the look in your eyes, every time he shamelessly kissed you, feeling disgusted with himself because he wasn't courageous enough to do it when he had the chance.
He lost his lover and his friend from his actions.
Behind his truth lied everything you are; he knew that too little, too late.

能登半島
17 September, 2019
I had an interesting second week of school. I was sick for the first few days, but my host father is a doctor and was able to help. I am finding that playing piano is really helping me to combat homesickness, and my host family has one in my bedroom. I am not happy with having to wear the same school uniform every weekday, and miss wearing my multicolored polo shirts and corduroys to school. However, everyone is nice and they are good to spend time with. Japanese school is much different from school in the US, but I can’t help but draw parallels between the two.
Last Sunday, my host aunt and her English-speaking friend took me to Kenrokuen, a famous garden in Kanazawa, and thought of as one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan. It had beautiful scenery, but the paths were very wide and it was heavily overtouristed, so it wasn’t too much fun. We then went across the street to the Museum of 21st Century Art. It is a free museum, so we were able to enter, but it, too, was packed. We could hardly move. The art we saw was beautiful, though. We went to a small diner overlooking the city for lunch and I had omuraisu (rice covered in scrambled egg, topped with globs of ketchup), then we returned home.
This Thursday, my host Rotary club had a trip to a famous, 400-year-old restaurant in the nearby city of Kanazawa. We piled into a bus, then drove to the restaurant. The drive took about a half an hour. We arrived and took off our shoes, and employees took them into a separate room. The Rotary meeting itself was held in a tatami-floored room. My club is also hosting a short-term college exchange student from China, and we both made short speeches. The meeting was short, because there were no guest speakers, but afterwards we moved into a large tatami room and were given a traditional Japanese flute performance before beginning a 3-hour long multi-course meal during which we were given more performances of taiko and traditional Japanese dance. All of the servers and performers were dressed in Edo Period attire, from wigs to makeup to kimono. It was fascinating. At one point, members of Rotary were invited up to try the taiko or do a traditional game based on Japanese rock-paper-scissors (jan-ken). I participated in both. After the dinner, I talked some more. I met the owner of the restaurant-part of a family that had owned it for centuries, and the president of the only taiko company in Japan.
I had a long weekend, as we got Monday off of school for Respect for the Aged Day. My host parents, host aunt and uncle and I all went on an overnight road trip to the very tip of the Noto Peninsula, a picturesque and not densely populated (as far as Japan goes) region of Ishikawa Prefecture, where I am. It was about a 3-hour drive from Hakusan. We stopped at a rest stop both on the way there and back. It had a viewing platform that commanded an impressive view of the ocean and some islands as well as a lot of the nearby land. There was also a store, and I was able to get a blueberry-vanilla twist ice cream there. It was much better than I expected it to be. It was especially interesting because the only two flavors served there were vanilla and blueberry. I thought that that was an interesting choice. We arrived at the house of some relatives. It was very traditional, with lots of tatami mats, and there was a profound lack of chairs. We had a kneeling meal. It was a gargantuan festival meal that I could barely finish, but it was delicious. After dinner, we walked to a concrete pier into the ocean just two blocks away. We saw jellyfish, sea urchins, and fish (as well as seagulls) and, as we returned, we saw a fisherman catch a squid right before our eyes.
We went to a festival. The tall floats were very beautiful at night, and the taiko-beating and shouting added to the atmosphere of it all. I really enjoyed it. We returned to the house, and I taught my host family Dutch Blitz, a simple card game that I brought with me that my American family loves. It was a little difficult, what with not knowing Japanese well, but I was able to get it across to one person who was remarkably perceptive about games just saying “this” and some numbers, and he taught the rest. They loved the game and played it deep into the night. The guests all slept on futons in the living room. In the morning, I got up and had a traditional Japanese breakfast, then took another walk to the pier. After that, we went to yet another festival the very next day (and saw a third along the way). They have a lot of festivals. This time it was during the day and we were able to watch the beginning in a Shinto shrine. There was singing and dancing, and a few people in oni masks played taiko. I was allowed to briefly wear one of the masks. There were a lot of Shinto priests, and we were able to watch them move the kami of the shrine out of the shrine and into a portable mini-shrine to go around in the parade.
We went to the beach and swam quickly-my first time touching the Sea of Japan-then went to a pottery making place where we were shown around and made some pots. We returned home, but we had only been at the beach for 5 minutes or so so I wanted to return. My host aunt and I went to a nearby beach and swam for a little while longer. She found two crabs and two snails and took them home to eat. We had lunch-leftovers from the previous night-then returned home.
Yesterday, like I said, was a day off of school for me. I read for a while in the morning and called my parents. We had lunch, then my host father took me to Kanazawa to see if we could find some English books at a big bookstore. The store was called Beans and was accordingly shaped like one. It was three stories tall and on the second floor, there was a small English section. I bought four books I liked (they were also selling anteater stickers at the cash register-my favorite animal! I immediately bought some). I thought we would return home then, but instead we went to the Ishikawa Prefectural Offices right next door and took the speedy elevator all the way up to the nineteenth floor. There was an observation deck and a café. The view of the city was fantastic despite the rain and fog. We had ice cream at the café-I got a matcha-vanilla twist. Again, those were the only two flavors the place had. I am starting to wonder about this trend of interesting flavor choices at two-flavor ice cream shops. We went down and drove to Kanazawa Castle. I was a little worried because of its fame, but the rain drove tourists away and it was nearly empty. It was very pretty and majestic (and free to enter).
We went to a large Shinto shrine. It was nearly empty, but they were playing American pop music and selling hamburgers, which kind of destroyed the atmosphere. They sold omamori (protective charms) though, which have been one of my goals to obtain since the beginning of my trip, so I bought a few. The buying process was a little unintuitive-the omamori stand was outdoors, and there was nobody behind it. There was no signage (even in Japanese) to say what to do. Eventually a miko came out, but she said we couldn’t buy them there, but had to do it inside the shrine. We walked inside and she sold them to us.
By this time it was starting to get dark, so we went to central Kanazawa and ate ramen in the downtown. It was delicious! There were lots of glowing LED signs and more foreigners than I had seen yet. We drove to a Daiso and bought a few pens, then returned home. I read my new books, then went to bed.
Today I went to school, returned home, and wrote this entry. Sorry it’s so late in coming and so short. I have been a little pressed for time recently.

This Small Town; one
(previous/next) masterlist
“How was school, bro?” Justin fist bumps Yuqi as she approaches the two of them.
“Boring as always,” she says. She sticks her leg out and pulls her sock down. “Look what I got from soccer!” she says proudly.
“Whoa,” Chengcheng leans down to look at the purple bruise on her leg. “How did you manage that?”
Yuqi shrugs, “My dad says I’m accident probe.”
“Probe?” Chengcheng giggles. “The saying is accident prone, babe. Have you told anyone else that your dad says this?” She shakes her head as Chengcheng stands up. “Okay, good. Be sure you work on your pronunciation.”
“Right,” she nods, lacing her fingers with Justin as they begin to walk home.
Yuqi liked this part of the day - when Chengcheng and Justin would pick her up from school. Since they were let out earlier than her, they started to offer to pick her up and walk her home so that the others wouldn’t have to worry about it. Most days, they’d stop by Linong’s store and see what candies they could talk him into giving them. If Linong was no help, they’d use their allowance and take Yuqi for ice cream at the local ice cream parlour before taking her to the park so she could run her sugar high off. They’re usually back before Xukun is finished with classes and will lounge around until then.
Since Chengcheng was now a high school graduate and taking online courses, he tells Yuqi he might get a job soon.
“Good. Then nobody will chase me around with worms,” she stickers her tongue out.
“Oh, you mean like this one?” Chengcheng grins and pulls a gummy worm from his pocket, causing the little one to scream and clutch into Justin’s side. Justin clicks his tongue and shoves his brother. “What? I’m joking!” Chengcheng laughs as he pulls the pack of candy and throws it into his hands. “Yuqi, I’m a man now. I don’t have time for childish things.”
“Whatever,” Yuqi pouts as they continue their journey home. “My dad says just because your mom let you get tattoos, doesn’t mean you’re still not a cry baby!” Chengcheng scoffs, not feeling the least bit hurt by her words.
They reach the apartment buildings twenty minutes later. Chengcheng and Justin come just in time to see Zhengting. He was a doctor at a hospital nearby. He’s been living in their building for maybe six months now, fresh out of college and just starting his internship at the hospital. He usually bumps into the three on his way out for his night shifts.
“I’ll never understand why someone as rich as you chooses to live in a place as ratty as this,” Justin jokes and Zhengting jogs down the steps.
Zhengting shakes Yuqi’s hair as he passes and then runs backwards. “It’s called student debts! See you later, kids! Make sure to eat all your vitamins!” And just as quickly as he came, he leaves.
“What are student deads?” Yuqi asks Chengcheng. “My uncles are always complaining about it.”
“Student debts is basically money you owe the college you go to that you’ll have to pay back,” he explains simply. “It’s really complicated and stuff unless you get a scholarship.”
“Scholarship? Is that a type of boat?” Justin chuckles at how cute Yuqi is.
“A scholarship is basically just money people give you if you’re good at something or of a certain race or height or even if you’re left handed, like yourself,” he winks at her. “You can even get one for dance or soccer, kid. So, carb up and make the big leagues so I can babysit your couch and TV in the future.”
“You wish,” Yuqi scoffs as she walks up the steps. “My dad says that as soon as we get our own house, you’re not allowed anywhere near it!”
“Did he now?” Chengcheng laughs. He’s immune to these empty threats. Even if Yanjun really did want to keep Chengcheng away, Chengcheng would still be glued to his side. It’s like they’re social soulmates or something, Yanjun swears it. “Well,” Chengcheng laughs as he jumps up from where he was sitting, “you tell your dad to remember that when I make it big.”
“As a what again?”
“An actor,” Chengcheng rolls his eyes. “Your Uncle Zhangjing is right. You’re a shit listener.”
“Yeah? Well you’re a shitty person!” Yuqi retorts.
Justin jumps at her words, covering her mouth. “Yuqi!” he squeals. “No bad words!”
Yuqi manages to pull away from Justin and huffs. “Uncle Zhangjing says that I have every right to curse at Chengcheng-ge if he keeps cursing at me!”
“Yeah, well if your dad hears about this, he won’t be very happy. Now will he?” Justin warns as he picks the extra key from Yuqi’s backpack. He swings the door open to their apartment and toes his shoes off. “Plus, Chengcheng is your gege. You have to speak nicely to him.”
“But Lingong-ge says I don’t have to be nice to anyone who isn’t nice to me,” she says a matter of factly.
Sometimes, Justin wishes Yuqi wasn’t so quick on her toes. He decides to give up the fight as Chengcheng falls on the couch.
“Let’s do homework, yeah?” Justin smiles as he leads her to the kitchen counter. “Ge,” he calls out. “Why don’t you come and cut up some fruit for us to snack on?”
“Why when there’s a pack of oreos in the cabinet?” Chengcheng scoffs, getting up nonetheless. “I’m sure Yuqi would like some oreos.”
“Uncle Chin says that I can’t eat a lot. He says we’re supposed to celebrate something tonight,” Yuqi says as she writes her name on her math assignment. Justin raised his eyebrows. “Daddy applied for a job. It’s at that magazine he’s always reading. The one for parents.”
“Ah,” Justin nods. “The one for iQIYI. I hope he gets sponsored by Nongfu,” Justin pouts. “I can only spend so much on water before I’m flat broke.”
“Aren’t you always flat broke?” Chengcheng jokes as he cuts up some strawberries.
“Not the point,” Justin rolls his eyes.
Chengcheng surpresses his chuckles and continues to cut up a small amount of fruit. He leaves them in a bowl in front of the two before going back to the couch. Meanwhile, Justin helps Yuqi with her division homework and tells her to read ten pages of her book before she can play games on his phone.
Xukun and Ziyi come home from school and work soon after. They both kiss Yuqi on the cheek before moving to bussle around the kitchen.
“Yuqi, why are you still in your uniform?” Xukun ushers her down from her seat at the table. “Go change so you can help me and Ziyi. Okay?” Yuqi groans and trudges off to change. Xukun smiles at Justin. “Staying for dinner?”
“Can’t,” he says as he starts to pack. “Our parents want us to eat some of their food every once in a while. Linkai’s even coming down from his dorm to eat with us.”
“Oh, could you remind Linkai about Yuqi’s dance recital next Friday?” Ziyi says as he shuts the fridge, the dry erase calendar staring at him.
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Chengcheng smiles as he approaches the counter. “We’ll be off now, yeah? Save us a slice of cake!” he waves. “Bye Yuqi!” he yells.
“Bye!” her voice faintly replies. The two head out before Yuqi can come back.
Soon enough, Zhangjing comes home to see the guys already prepared the side dishes for tonight. All he has to do is fry the chicken up and everything will be set into place.
When Yanjun comes home, Yuqi is busy setting the table. As soon as she hears the door click, she drops all the forks back onto the table and speeds towards the door.
“Daddy!” she jumps up and down, grabbing into him.
Yanjun picks her up, spinning her around. “Hey bubbly. How was your first day of school?” he kisses her cheek.
“Good! I made a new friend today! Her name is Minnie! Like the mouse!” she says as Yanjun carries her to their bedroom. He places her down on the bed and turns the shower head on. “How was work, Daddy?”
“Hectic as always,” Yanjun throws his apron on the floor. “But guess what Daddy did?”
“What?” Yuqi asks.
“He got a new job at a magazine company! And I’ll get to work from home! Isn’t that exciting?” Yanjun grins. “I’ll actually be home to tuck you in at night, kid!”
“Really?” she grins.
Yanjun nods, leaning down to kiss her nose. “Now you run out there and finish setting up the table while I shower. Okay?” Yuqi nods, her little feet pattering across the floor as she rushes out. Yanjun sighs happily.
Things are finally going right.
-
They all eat until their bellies pop. Each of the guys wash their food down with a bottle of beer. Yanjun even allows Yuqi to drink a soda because tonight was such a special night.
When they finish up, Yanjun takes Yuqi to lay down in bed since she had school in the morning. He moves to take her socks off so they don’t get lost in the sheets when he notices a big bruise on her leg.
“Yuqs,” he frowns. “What happened this time?”
“I fell while playing soccer,” she explains with heavily lidded eyes.
“You sure?” Yanjun runs his thumb over it. She winces and pulls her leg back. “You gotta be more careful, Yuqs.”
Yanjun thinks that maybe Yuqi is anemic or something. She always has bruises going up and down her body. Part of him hopes that that is the case and that she isn’t being bullied at school. But at the same time, who would bully his Yuqi? She’s the sweetest thing anyone will ever meet until you tick her off. The little girl knows how to pack a punch. He and Ziyi taught her how to after they found out on of the boys at school pushed her off the swingset last year.
“Yuqs,” he whispers.
“Daddy, I want to sleep,” she whines, burying her head into the pillow.
“Yuqi, listen,” he shakes her. She looks up at him with bleary eyes. “If anyone is bothering you at school, you need to tell someone. Okay? A teacher, me, one of your uncles, even Justin or Chengcheng. Don’t let anyone push you around. Got it?”
“Got it,” she nods. “Can I go to bed now?”
Yanjun smiles and presses a kiss to her forehead. “I love you, baby. Sweet dreams.”
“Night,” she yawns right before she fall asleep.
-
“You should get this one,” Justin points at the mac book. “Our school has these. They’re really cool.”
“We’re not looking for cool, Hao. We’re looking for affordable,” Yanjun rolls his eyes. “Where’s Yuqi?”
“Her and Chengcheng are looking at some toys,” he says as his fingers dance along the keys of the laptops. “I guess an HP could work too. Not my style but-“
“I just need something to type on,” he waves his hand. “That laptop that all of us share has too many viruses. I’ll never get an article done on there.”
“Well maybe you guys should stop downloading so much porn and get a real date,” Justin mutters. Yanjun smacks him on the back of the head, causing the younger one to yelp out in pain. “Hey! I was just saying!”
“I knew I should’ve waited for Linong to get off from school,” Yanjun shakes his head. “He’s smart.”
“I’m smart too!” Justin retorts.
“No, you’re just a smart ass,” Yanjun rolls his eyes. He picks up one of the laptops that aren’t that pricey but also don’t look like they’ll fall apart and decides that it’ll have to do for now. “Go find Yuqi and let’s go.”
“Roger that,” Justin salutes.
Yanjun heads to check out. He was busying himself reading the box that he didn’t even notice that the children had returned until Yuqi called his name. “Yuqs!” he gasps as he sees a tissue shoved up her nose. “What happened?”
“Daddy, you said my nose bleeds whenever it’s too hot,” she explains. “And it’s really hot in here.” She’s right, the heater was on full blast and Yanjun even found himself sweating a bit. “Gege wanted to take me to the bathroom but he said I can’t go in the boys’ bathroom.”
“No, you can’t,” he clicks his tongue, leaning in closer to inspect her skin. “I’m going to buy you a helmet for christmas. Sound good?”
“That’ll totally mess up my hair!” she whines.
Yanjun pecks her forehead then stands up straight. “Chengcheng, you and Justin go take Yuqi to the car so she can get out of here. I’m going to finish checking out.”
They agree and leave with her. At the car, Chengcheng uses a waterbottle to wash her face a bit before buckling her in.
“Yuqi, you have go to start toughening up if you wanna make it to the big leagues,” Chengcheng says. “We need to give you some protein.”
“Dude, she’s like seven. Lay off,” Justin scoffs from where he’s sitting. “Yuqi, you can do whatever you want. Don’t listen to Chengcheng. He’s stupid.”
“Stupid isn’t a nice word!” Chengcheng pouts as he slides into the front seat. “And what do you even wanna be, kid? Ever thought about it yet?”
Yuqi thinks for a second, pondering the thought. “I wanna be like my daddy!” she exclaims.
“You wanna be a waitress?...” Chengcheng questions.
“No, stupid!” Yuqi crosses her arms. Justin tries to hold his laughter in. He’ll let this one slide. “My daddy chased his dream and he’s a writer now. Why do you think we bought a laptop today, huh?”
“Cut the attitude before I cut your hair while you sleep,” Chengcheng snorts.
“Justin-ge!” Yuqi frowns.
“He won’t,” Justin reassures her. “We’re not allowed in your room, remember?”
“Well Chengcheng isn’t allowed to eat candy after dinner but one time, me and my daddy woke up and saw him eating oreos on the couch at like three in the morning!” Yuqi says. “If I wake up and find out my hair is cut, I’m going to punch you, Chengcheng-ge. Uncle Ziyi taught me how to and he’s in boxing!”
“Oh, I’m so scared of a seven year old!” Chengcheng rolls his eyes, reaching back to flick her forehead.
“Hey!” she yells. Just then, Yanjun slides into the driver’s seat. “Daddy! Chengcheng-ge just flicked my forehead!”
“Tattletale,” Chengcheng sticks his tongue out.
“Can’t you pick on someone your own size,” Yanjun groans, flicking his forehead. Chengcheng winces and rubs the spot. “Stop picking on children, you dope.”
“She started it,” he pouts.
“And I’m ending it. God, I thought I was a father of one not two,” Yanjun rolls his eyes. “If you left a mark, I’m going to kick your ass, Fan.” Chengcheng knows it’s an empty threat but either way, still sits as close to the door as possible.
Yanjun backs up the car, turning around to see Yuqi already fast asleep. He smiles at her before turning around to take them home.

►   GENERAL.
HEIGHT:  5′8  —  previously 5′6. After being bitten by the genetically-altered “42″ Spider, his stature is elongated by two inches. WEIGHT:  160 lbs — Miles is an ectomorph; it’s mostly maintained because of his obligatory participations in gym classes, playing basketball with the neighborhood every now and again after school, and the rare times he can sneak off for urban exploration or play around with his uncle’s punching bag. He doesn’t exactly have the greastest diet plan. ETHNICITY:  African-American && Afro-Puerto Rican. OCCUPATION:  Freelance photographer, explorer, artist, F.E.A.S.T. (Food, Emergency, Aid, Shelter, and Training) volunteer, Brooklyn Vision student, convenience store cashier, Dream Defender, and vigilante. GENDER:  Cis-male. He/him. ROMANTIC AND SEXUAL ORIENTATION:  Heterosexual & Demiromantic. MBTI:  ENFP- the champion. Miles know how to relax, and he is perfectly capable of switching from a passionate, driven idealist in the workplace to that imaginative and enthusiastic free spirit on the dance floor, often with a suddenness that can surprise even his closest friends. Being in the mix also gives him a chance to connect emotionally with others, giving him cherished insight into what motivates his friends and colleagues. He believe that everyone should take the time to recognize and express their feelings, and their empathy and sociability make that a natural conversation topic.
Few personality types are as creative and charismatic as ENFPs. Their enthusiasm and vivid imagination allow ENFPs to overcome many challenging obstacles, more often than not brightening the lives of those around them. ENFPs’ creativity is invaluable in many areas, including their own personal growth.
►   SPECIFICS.
FAVOURITE FOOD:  Pasteles, Empanada, Chicharon de pollo, Pop-Tarts, Platanos, Chopped Cheese, Nathan’s Famous’ hotdogs, Aunt Butchie’s Desserts (chocolate mousse preferably), Chinese food, and Ray’s Pizza. FAVOURITE DRINK:  He enjoys his uncle’s Whey protein drinks, but you’ll mostly see him drinking sodas, Gatorade, O.J., and water.  FAVOURITE HOBBY:  Vandal by nature, Miles loves snagging Priority Mail and Hello, My Name Is stickers to practice his art and toss his mark up wherever and whenever he can. Other than that, he plays mental gymnastics for fun when it comes to math problems. If he’s not doing that, then he’s fooling around with programs like Audacity, Sony Vegas, or FL Studio.
But the activity he feels most at peace at is when he’s isolated in his room or hanging around a building as Spiderman, writing in his journal. FAVOURITE SCENT:  Vanilla, Sandalwood, Shea Moisture Manuka and Yogurt. FAVOURITE PERSON:  Ganke. Miles never had a brother (a reality he yearned his parents make happen), but Ganke gives him an idea as to how it would be if he did have a biological brother.
►   TEN FACTS.
Miles is an only child. “Born” on December 14th, 2003.
He’s Catholic.
Adaptability comes as second nature to Miles. In two days, he managed to survive his near-death experiences as he tangled with some of the best of the original Spiderman’s villains.
Miles use to cry Martin Luther King Day because the television and radio would play clips of his speeches, and he thought sounded like a ghost.
Until he reached the age of ten, Miles had irritable bowel syndrome and would crap his pants every so often.
He owns an Atari, Sega, and Nintendo console passed down to him from his father.
One of his favorite shows is American Ninja Warrior.
Calculus is one of his favorite subjects. Numbers, symbols, and alphabets is a challenge that he can never tire from.
There’s an unshakable habit he has and that’s speaking his thoughts out loud, much to his chagrin.
His facial features mostly resemble his father and his uncle, which is can be considered a blessing and a curse, depending on the environment he’s in. Because the Davis brothers dark past had them as hustlers, stick-up kids, and graffiti artists, and their lives would take a drastic turn in where one becomes a cop and the other went on to become a boxer, the name Davis is enough to put a sour taste on the tongues of certain circles. It’s a fleeting love-hate thing he has for it.
►   FIVE THINGS HE LIKES.
VIDEO GAMES  —  Jefferson was never comfortable with sharing his questionable deeds on the streets with his son, but he was more than excited to share his childhood glory with him. He couldn’t wait until Miles was old enough to have a controller in his hand. Miles is “heir” to a collection of dated collection. He likes modern consoles too, as he does own both a XBOX ONE and PLAYSTATION 4, but he prides in being a ‘young old soul’. GRAFFITI  —  It just kind of happened? He wasn’t messing with actual spraypaint because he’s too young to cop them from Home Depot, so he stuck to just stacking up on stickers and using that until he’s legally able to buy his own. HIP-HOP  —  That’s New York. Hip-Hop was born there. Miles passionately embraces the main four elements that represents its culture: Emceeing, DJING, Graffiti Art, Breakdancing and integrates the other five in how he moves. Street fashion, language, entrepanuership, knowldge, beatboxing, Hip-Hop is something he lives.  BOXING  — We can thank Aaron for his interest in that. Aside from the man’s criminal resume, Aaron graduated from neighborhood bruiser to professional boxer. His had a impeccable record before he hung up his gloves, but the passion he had for the sport stayed with him and any chance he got with his newphew, it would show when he would spit game on the greats like Mohammad Ali, Joe Fraizer, Dixie Kid, Jack Dempsey, Tyson, and others and teach him a few of his old moves.  CLEANING SNEAKERS —  It’s nothing deep. You watch Paid in Full a couple of times and add your love for that movie to your natural love of keeping your gear fresh and you get a sneakerhead that’s addicted to keeping his kicks mean and pristine.
►   FIVE THINGS HE DISLIKES.
PEER PRESSURE  —  His hood didn’t have too many stars. There were plenty of potential there, but due to unfortunate circumstances, they make it out, but Miles—everybody regards him as the gold representation. Because of his upbringings, Miles is sort of hood royalty in a positive sense. On one hand, he enjoys it appreciation, but on the other hand, he hates it because his father doesn’t make it easy on him at all. He doesn’t judge his father for doing what he had to do in the streets to survive, but he hates his father for shoving his demons down his throat. Becoming Spiderman was nothing to leap for him to leap excitedly over either. Being stressed with being the “good son”, the “golden boy” of his neighborhood, and acing studies was enough as is. Since Peter Parker and his uncle’s murder, he felt tremendous guilt over not being able to help, and with his abilities, he feels strong on his moral obligation to do what he can to be New York’s protector. It’s not the easiest weight for a teenager to carry. E X P E C T A T I O N S! eff dem! UNDERESTIMATED  — In school, he dealt with a teacher that regarded him and kids like him as trash that would never be able to amount to anything. The Spider-gang didn’t think he had what it takes, making him feel as if he was a burden and incapable of being strong enough to keep his promise to his universe’s Peter Parker. He doesn’t do well with people acting like he can’t do anything. TALES FROM THE HOOD  — Doesn’t particularly care to hear about criminal exploits, especially the ones his family participated in. Some kids would love to hear about how hard their peers went in the street—Miles isn’t one of them. If anything, he wishes he was oblivious to it and didn’t have to hear one related word to it. That’s one thing he’s thankful for when it comes to his dad and Aaron. They never bragged or felt inclined to share gorey details and for good reason. Miles know they and everyone else want better for him. LYING —  His mama raised him to be a honest boy. His pops raised him to be a man of principle. His uncle instilled street honor in him. Other than that? Miles naturally hates lying. It doesn’t make him feel good and can actually make him a serious nervous wreck if it gets to be too much for him.  FIGHTING  —  Even though he was taught self-defense and enjoyed his boxing lessons, Miles avoided conflict as much as he could. He preferred to just be that cool guy that can make friends with the whole world and keep it pushing. He accepts that it’s unavoidable as a superhero, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to come to a peaceful resolve before the situation gets nasty.
►   WORDS / PHRASES THAT ANNOY HIM.
CLASSISM —  I know it’s not a word/phrase, so I’ll just say toxic braggadocio statements. When it comes to skin color, religion, abilities (supernatural or mortal), lienage, whatever—Miles views them all as people that share the same oxygen and should treat each other like they’re aware of that. Being made to feel like a sub-human aggravates him more than he cares to admit (he once broke his classroom desk because of his teacher constant poking at the african diaspora).
►   PERSONALITY TYPES HE PREFERS.
FREE SPIRITS —  Chilled souls; people that are down to do whatever they please (in a healthy, non-violent way), and exudes positive energy. It’s nice to be around individuals that understands what it means to have fun without restrictions and not people that live by some book like his father. You can miss him with those that feels like they have to be tight asses all the time.
►   PERSONALITY TYPES HE AVOIDS.
GOD COMPLEX —  Kingpins/drug lords/gang leaders/criminal upstarts, just people that play God in the streets, dictating who lives and dies, just because they have a gun and have a little bit of power. There’s not a doubt in his mind that there will be elements in the underworld that’s going to try to seduce him to the life. It’s a mission of his to not fall into the same darkness that stained the Davis name. You will never see Miles becoming close friends with a thug or a wannabee. He’ll try to steer them clear of it and be a moral compass of course, but having that as a part of his inner circle is a big no.
