Next Major Life Change 🏃🏻‍♀️ - April 2024 - Scorpio

Meditation: You had a halo of pentacles 🪙 surrounding you, and everything you touched turned to gold. You had a joyful time skipping about and turning random things into gold, some of which were more along the lines of mischievous & playful, but also helpful to those that needed it. When you would try to pick up the golden “riches” you’d created though, they’d turn to sand in your hands. I’m getting heavy 8th House energy here, your natural domicile. Taurus rules over finances, real estate, 2nd House - what’s MINE - and their North/South Nodes have intense lessons regarding hoarding and needing to share. Your riches are meant to be shared, we, us, whether by marriage, inheritance, the stock market & sales (other people’s money), and the like. Scorpio NN/SN has intense lessons in releasing possessions & people, death & transformation - finding peace in a more minimalist way of living - because materialism never was your style. At the end of the meditation, you were sulking in a corner, not using your gifts, because you couldn’t see that it’s by doing for others that you get to share in the abundance you create…just don’t touch it 🤷 Or…claim it?

There’s a very positive message here, and it’s acknowledging you’ve been betrayed, hurt, never even saw this shit coming. You’re at the doorway of a new beginning, or just having walked through it, you’re resentful and resistant to it - because you didn’t choose it. You were forced. Everyone knows to not try and force a Scorpio to do anything, but Spirit can, and will, because 4 Cups shows you wouldn’t have. You’d have chosen to stick it out with something that wasn’t in line with what’s meant for you…it was The Devil and you didn’t even realize it. Still probably don’t, not to its full extent, but you will - Discovering Truth becomes more prevalent with time, and you’ll see that this new beginning was necessary for your happiness. For now though, you’re kicking grass at Spirit with your arms folded, sitting in a corner, “not using your gifts”, because you’re upset at how things have changed in your world, it’s a form of mourning what is lost…it’s normal. There’s a lot of fear in you about what comes next, you don’t trust people and you probably don’t even trust Spirit at this point, because wtf. You’re meant to be where you are right now, resistant, pissed off, resentful, all of that, it’s part of it. Birth with the Axe 🪓 rev shows to not cut off everyone around you, don’t cut off family and the people that truly love you - because one person (I assume) hurt you. If you have kids, they could play a role in your healing as well. Some of these fears could involve children, that could take many forms, only you’d know.

You’ve been alone, even when you’re in a crowd you’ve felt alone. Getting more in tune with Spirit, even if you’re cursing their name, you still have the hope that there’s something out there for you that will make you forget about this bs, and there is. Not yet. You’re waiting for your dream person, your soulmate, connection, everything you’ve ever wanted in the form of some person - I’m not getting anyone in particular I just assume it’s open to interpretation. All of your alone time and energy has been spent fixated on love, waiting for love, your dream person is going to show up one day and you’re over here sitting by yourself with your arms folded - resistant to even leaving the house to make yourself available to them. To even find you. How are they supposed to? They’re not going to climb through your window, and if they did you’d probably SHOOT them because AHH 😱 Didn’t I get that message for you before? 😆

Love isn’t where your head needs to be, it’s keeping you stuck. Allow it to surprise you, I’m getting that you don’t have a choice otherwise. The focus needs to be more on acceptance of this betrayal situation that’s still heavily affecting you, releasing that Devil to the wind and seeing that this happened *for* you, not *to* you. The right person can’t come in with this other one hovering in your energy, they’ll pick up on the ick vibes and bounce. They need you as you, happy, whole, independent, working on yourself. Spirit is being secretive with The High Priestess, because even in readings people don’t gots ta know about your business. You know what’s toxic, you know what keeps you stuck, that’s what the Pearl of Wisdom is about - your own intuition basically telling you to “get your shit together”, and do it for you. Rev she could be doing things only for what they give her, materially focused with little effort, greedy, and she does not got this - she just lets her responsibilities fall to the wayside like it’s not her job - The World shows this ending, and Capable shows you have everything you need to make something a success, you can flip this Queen’s energy at any time, just decide to and do it. You could have been dealing with some toxic Capricorn energy in another person or have this affecting you/your chart somehow - The World shows once that ends, consciously, your new beginning waits.

Before we get into the nuts and bolts of real estate investment in, I want to talk about desire. You must have the desire to succeed in any endeavor, including real estate investing. Desire can be defined as a longing or craving for something, such as satisfaction or enjoyment. Desire is a strong feeling that often suggests a strong goal or intention. Real estate investing can be difficult if you lack the desire to grow and learn as a person and get pleasure from it. It brings me joy to go out and view a property. All aspects of the process bring me joy, from speaking to homeowners, finding out how to make a deal work to purchasing the house, and then to finding the right homeowner or tenant to live in the house. Although real estate investing is not for everyone, it can provide the financial freedom that we all desire. It doesn't have to be for you. Real estate investing can help you live your dreams and get to where you want to go.

Real estate investing is an incredible way for anyone to achieve their goals. Let me ask you a few questions. Are you able to spend as much money as you need? Are you able to do everything you want? No debt? What about a nice house? A great marriage? Freedom to do whatever you want, regardless of the cost or time involved. You are among the few Americans who have all these things. Many people work fifty hours per week and make just enough money to pay their bills. People are living paycheck to paycheck in this day and age, not knowing if they can afford to pay their bills. How are you going to pay your monthly bills? Will you be able to retire or send your children to college? Or have the time you want to live a full life? Financial freedom is the answer to all these questions. It's not easy for everyone to get up from the couch and leave their comfort zone. It has been proven that real estate can be one of your fastest routes to achieving the life you want. Every person wants to live a different life. Many people dream of travelling the world, spending time with their families, volunteering, golfing or laying on the beach. They also want to give back to the community. There are many things that can make someone happy.

Real estate requires someone who is driven to make a difference in their lives and has the ability to think big. You can be a successful real estate investor. Although it is not easy, it can be very rewarding. There are a few common traits that all those who succeed in real estate investment. They treat their real estate investment business as any other business. They go out and meet people. Others might be more introverted than me, and find it difficult to talk to others. It doesn't matter if you are one of these people. Anyone can learn to be a person. Push yourself beyond your comfort zone. Third, you must not be afraid to fail. Everybody has had failures, but the most successful people learn from them. Fourth, you must put together a great team. In a later chapter, I will discuss how to put a team together. It is important to have a team so that you can ask questions and get help if you don't understand something. They can help you make sure you don't work yourself too hard. It is not a good idea to try to do everything in your business. Failure is possible when you try to do everything. It is important to find people you can trust and depend on. A mentor is the fifth thing you must have. The sixth and final thing is the will to do it. If someone doesn't desire to do something and doesn't feel fulfilled by what they're doing, they won't be able to succeed at it.

2. Set goals

Setting goals is an important aspect of your success in achieving what you desire in life. It's not enough to have your goals in your head. You need to write them down. It is important to regularly review your goals and to read them aloud to yourself. You will be able to remind yourself every day why you are building your company.

How do you begin to set goals? You must think big. I don't mean small. You will not be able to achieve your goals if they are too small. Start by asking yourself this question: If I had unlimited money and time, what would you do with it? How would my time be spent? What would I buy? These are the things you should be writing down. You should. You can think about your dreams, family time, travel, the best cars and a castle, running for President, or having the largest real estate investment business in your region. Write down your goals and dreams. My goals include becoming financially free, traveling the globe, owning a Ferrari and having 10 vacation homes around the world. Right now, I want to help you get out of your comfort zone and allow your imagination to run wild.

There are many ways to set goals. There are many ways to set goals. My favorite way to set goals is to break them down into two categories. Your short-term goals are first. These should be goals that span a month to a year. Your long-term goals are your big, future-oriented goals.

First, I like to make a list of all the things I want to accomplish in year one. I'll give you an example. You want to be specific for year one. First, you will need to list your expected income at the end. Next, you will need to list how much cash you have in the bank (this is money in your checking accounts, not assets). Next, you will need to list the amount you plan to donate. Giving is an important part of life. You can give to charity, gift your friends, or donate to your school. You can give joy to those who are less fortunate than you, as long as you do not take advantage of their needs. Next, list the bad habits that you are trying to get rid of. It's time to quit smoking, stop drinking, quit smoking, quit smoking, quit working, quit smoking, quit smoking, quit eating junk food, stop drinking, quit working, and spend more time with your family. To grow as individuals, we all have bad habits. Below are some ways you can get rid of each bad habit. What can you do if you are a bad habit of being lazy or not exercising enough? You can join a gym or do a home workout program. You must be committed to working out at least 5 days per week. To change bad habits, you must be committed to your goals and stick to the plan. Once you have your plan in place, you can start to list the things you want or need to do over the next year. You could travel to 2-3 places, start a business, or spend time with your family. You should then create a plan detailing what you need and what to do to reach these goals. You should then take all the information and create a page about what you want your life to look like in the next year. This is a great way to see your life in the future.

Prompt 1: Foster

Koriah hadn’t ever seemed a part of the family. Not really. She seemed more mythical creature than Elezen noble to Adelaide. Even the circumstances of her birth, which Adelaide vaguely recalled her parents gossiping about when she was 3 years old, was outside the norm for the family and more like a supernatural gift, like a fairy child being bestowed upon the family rather than the product of nature or love. Her parents would speak all the time about how imminent it was that her aunt and uncle would soon be the first Azmeriens to sever their ‘eternal bond’ and that they hadn’t so much as opened a door for one another or said a word in kindness to each other in the 2 years since they’d been wed.

Then one day her aunt and uncle showed up at her parents’ door holding hands. Holding -ungloved hands-. Holding ungloved hands with their skin touching for everyone to see. And they were smiling. And they were laughing. And they said such scandalous and, frankly, uncomfortable things as “I love you” right in front of everyone! That wasn’t a phrase Adelaide heard all that often outside of children’s tales. It wasn’t something her family ever said. Not in public, not in private, not even in jest, not ever.

And then they did it. They kissed. Still in full view of the whole family! And this was not the usual polite kiss on the cheek or kiss on the back of (gloved!) hands for which Adelaide was so familiar. They kissed each other on the lips. They tilted their heads, smiling, and then put their lips together and 3 year old Adelaide saw it and -frankly- it was weird and she didn’t understand it at all. What was the point of that? She thought maybe it looked kind of gross. When she looked around at the rest of her immediate family with their jaws dropped and their eyes quickly darting away to look at something, anything!, else, her 3 year old thoughts were confirmed. That was definitely weird and gross. If it wasn’t her family wouldn’t react that way. Right?

And it was after that kiss that the announcement had been made. Her aunt was pregnant! And she and Adelaide’s uncle were -happy- about it. Oh, there was plenty of gossip about how the kid must have belonged to another man because she’d been having an affair and the whole lovey-dovey thing was just a public display to squash exactly the rumors that the lovey-dovey display had actually instigated instead. There were teams of couples who’d come over for weekly card, chess, or mahjong nights who would spend the evenings drinking expensive brandy with her parents and betting on who the actual father was. But to everyone’s great astonishment, when Koriah was born she already had a crop of bright red hair the exact same color as her father’s. As she grew up she shared the same striking green eyes as her father as well. Of course, by that point all the gossip had moved on to other couples and their possible infidelities and short-comings and the shock of Koriah’s arrival and the affection between her parents had completely been disregarded.

But not by Adelaide who carried that with her as one of her first memories and would continue to reflect on it as she grew older.

And as her cousin Koriah did not.

The sudden announcement of Koriah’s death when Adelaide was 25 and Koriah was 22 came as much as a surprise as the announcement of her arrival had.

Maybe it shouldn’t have. Koriah Azmerien had always been warm and sunny in personality (or what her detractors would call: ‘frivolous in demeanor’). She didn’t take anything too seriously. She wore what she wanted to. She went wherever she felt. And she genuinely did not care at all about what people said to or about her. When Adelaide would be stuck with insecurity regarding what she should say to someone (or -not- say to someone) at public events, Koriah never understood. She’d say, “If you introduce yourself and they are unimpressed, they are the problem not you. So why worry about it?”

Well, Adelaide worried about it because her mother worried about it. And her sister worried about it. And two of her brothers worried about it. And she’d heard plenty of gossip that told her that she should worry about it. Why didn’t Koriah worry about it!? She’d one day be heading her family’s estate as well, shouldn’t she want to make the right impressions to the right people? Wasn’t she as stuck in this stifling, rules heavy society as Adelaide was?

That answer cleared itself up fairly quickly. At 19 Koriah said she was going off to see the world outside of Ishgard to learn what she could about other places. She longed to see other venues, other people, to taste other foods.

What she really wanted to do was see the Limsan ocean. She’d stared longingly at painted pictures of the ocean since she’d been so small she teetered and fell down more than she actually walked. The bubbly child would get quiet and listen with rapt attention to any story that featured dashing rogues and pirates by the seaside or that told tale of giant sea monsters or seductive sirens. Koriah’s parents eventually tired of buying their daughter stories about the ocean, perhaps wanting her to focus more on Coerthan tales of might and adventure instead, but the ocean had Koriah’s heart. So when her aunt and uncle stopped providing the books… Adelaide found a way to sneak books to her young cousin about high sea adventures instead.

And as Koriah grew older, her taste for the seafaring stories grew as well. Moving past the usual children’s tales, her book collection became… rather more ‘adult’ in nature-- much to Adelaide’s sheltered embarrassment who until her cousin had showed her the collection of erotic and romantic Limsan pirate and rogue stories had not even thought such a thing had existed. By that age, late teens, Adelaide had, of course, known that kissing was a thing. That touching was a thing. That the common folk would sometimes disappear into dark alleys and do… things. But she’d been raised by a very strict mother who had made it clear that such things were ‘crass’ and ‘unladylike’ and that as the future head of the Azmerien household, the future of the Azmerien name, she had best not ever think of such things.

Being told not to think of such things and then being shown books that wrote -exactly- of such things of course meant that Adelaide would rebel. She thought about ‘such things’ frequently. But she’d never -buy- such a book. She’d just borrow them. Where did Koriah even find those? Wasn’t she embarrassed to be seen with them?

No. The answer was no. She said someone had taken the time to write those things so someone might as well take the time to read them. She didn’t make it a point to read them in public and she hid them in her room so they weren’t immediately on display-- but she did not hide that she purchased them herself. “And if someone were to take time to read them, that someone ought to purchase them herself rather than sending out a servant to do it for her.”

So when Koriah said she was ‘off to see the world’, Adelaide knew that she was ‘off to see the ocean.’ And when she imagined Koriah out in Limsa Lominsa she imagined her capturing hearts and scandalous kisses the same way the heroines in her books did. She only wondered if it’d be a pirate or a rogue that she’d end up running away with in the end.

It was a rogue, apparently. Letters from Koriah came back regularly… until they didn’t. Koriah’s parents and younger brother received the boring letters that spoke of Limsan gossip and fashion. Adelaide received the letters that spoke of the things her cousin actually cared about.

And the things she loved.

And the boy she loved.

And that boy’s goofy little brother.

The boy was named Lysander Winsome and he was a key figure in some sort of thieving gang based in Limsa, but it wasn’t the life he wanted anymore. He wanted out. He wanted to save enough to buy a ship-- his dream was an airship because his heart belonged to the sky as much as Koriah’s belonged to the ocean-- and he wanted to get away with only what mattered most to him: his brother and Koriah. She thought it’d be easier to buy a ship they could sail on the ocean. That’d be a dream easier and quicker to reach and while they worked on the ship they could have adventures and save enough for the airship. But what if-- what if one day they had a ship that functioned as both? Wouldn’t that be amazing? Would Adelaide want to come to visit on a vessel that could both sail and fly?

Adelaide wrote that of course she would. But honestly, it was all a little hard to believe. Koriah’s letters sounded as much fiction as any of the books she’d left hidden in her bedroom. Maybe these letters were just fantasy. Maybe they were meant as fun reads when her reality was really just the boring letters about Limsan gossip, sales prices, and fashion that she sent to her immediate family. And she continued to think this until the letters became more sporadic and then stopped all together.

And until she met the goofy little brother.

Adelaide had assumed that ‘Winsome’ was a made up last name. No one was named that. That was an adjective, not a name. But when the 12 (or was it 13?) year old boy with chestnut colored hair, the oversized @dumb-hat swallowing up most of his face so that she could hardly see his amber eyes, looked up at her and then grinned so wide that what she saw of his eyes lit up, and told her that was his real last name… Adelaide knew that it was both an accurate adjective and a real last name.

Koriah’s last correspondence to her family was a letter that Evander clutched in his hands, written in her hand, beseeching them to care for him if he arrived without her and making clear that she gave him all rights to her property-- including her inheritance-- and that her final wish was that he be treated as the family that he was. She had married the boy’s brother in secret and in the absence of her and Lysander-- Evander Winsome was all that was left of her and should be treated with the same love and courtesy that she had been treated when she was there.

She never said ‘alive’ or ‘dead’ in the letter. But everyone knew what it meant.

What Evander did not know and would not ever know, was that a week before he arrived to Ishgard without her cousin, Koriah had written Adelaide a letter too. That letter contained two notarized copies of a will that made legally official and binding that Evander was her heir and was to receive all her property and inheritance. It was sent to Adelaide to ensure that the one person in the family that Koriah trusted as much as herself would have it and could speak up for the young boy in the unfortunate possibility that Koriah’s family would pretend they had never received a letter of their own and tried to wash their hands of Evander.

The letter also read:

“Adelaide,

The storms in Limsa have made the ocean more alive than ever. It thrashes and dances with such exuberance that it makes me want to dance as well. The white sea foam reminds me of the lace hems on the dresses you and I loved so much as children: the ones that would twirl when we’d spin. I wish you could see it.

Lysander and I plan to make our escape soon. I never told you before because I didn’t want to worry you, but the gang did not take it well when Lysander made it clear that he wanted to strike out on his own. In fact, while we don’t speak of it because we don’t want Evander to overhear it, we’re fairly certain they plan to retaliate. As of now we plan to board a trading vessel that will take us out of Limsa Lominsa-- maybe even out of La Noscea entirely. We’ll head somewhere new and see the ocean there. Lysander wants to try his hand at opening a jewelry shop. He thinks he’d like to be a goldsmith. But his dreams and ambitions change as much as the sea does- so when we get to the new place he might decide to do something else entirely! I look forward to it. We both do.

But on the off-chance that we never see that dream come true and that the Limsan ocean is the last one we see, I will pay for Evander’s trip aboard another vessel with a few people I trust and see that he gets to Ishgard. Please welcome him. I don’t know how long he’ll choose to stay-- but I hope he gets a chance to foster new relationships, experiences and a new family while there.

And on the off-chance I never see you again: I love you. I know that’s not a thing the family says. But sometimes it has to be said.

The books belong to Evander now. But you let him know I said that you can keep borrowing them.

This timeline is certainly not 100% correct, but rather than stressing myself out trying to work out the exact ages and whens and whats-- I’m reminding myself that this is just about getting some writing out there and that I can fix the details later!

I have this weird soft spot for Pansy/Goyle after some chemistry I had with a Goyle when I played Pansy in another rpg and I’ve shipped them ever since! But it’s not something I would need to have. Mostly, I’m excited to play her coming back to Britain and reconnecting with all the folks from her past!

Full name: Pansy Auria Parkinson (Delvaux) - Pansy managed to keep her surname under the pretenses of her career, having been known within her line as a Parkinson. She uses Parkinson for her professional and personal life - but will call herself a Delvaux if it helps her get ahead or in polite French company.

Age: 40 (31 December 1979) - Yes, she throws the most extravagant New Year’s Eve parties in celebration of her birthday.

The shoppe, Twilfiit and Tatting’s, has been owned by the Parkinsons for generations. The oldest son, Malcolm, Pansy’s father, had inherited the business from his father. Malcolm, however, had plans far greater than his father could have dreamed. While Twilfitt and Tatting’s location in Diagon Alley brought enough money in to sustain the family fortune, Malcolm wanted to expand.

Throughout Pansy’s childhood, he was in constant discussion with other businessmen to open new locations throughout various places in Europe. It took a lot of time away from his family, but tripled their income and made Twilfitt and Tatting’s the place to get high end robes, clothing, and accessories.

Pansy started scribbling designs for new outfits when she was young, but her father would not take them seriously until after graduation, when he finally allowed her visions to become a reality. The Auria line (named for Pansy’s middle name) became the fastest-selling line Twilfitt had ever seen.

But it wasn’t enough. While her father was never a Death Eater - much too busy being successful to follow a man with no fashion sense at all! - he did a lot of his business with people who were. As those wizards and witches were caught and sent to Azkaban for Voldemort-supporting acts after the war, Malcolm’s businesses began to fail.

The Parkinson’s were losing money fast at that time - something they’d mainly been able to keep from the public eye - and Pansy had to step up and find a rich man to marry in order to help the business stay afloat. Pansy’s mother, Cordelia, did not want to fall from grace like those Malfoy’s, after all.

Pansy did manage to do just that - find a man, save the company, and is now the leading designer within the multiple Twilfitt establishments. Her line is sleek and expensive, mainly geared towards fashionable and rich witches. (Link to some of the clothing will be posted below within the “extra” section). She’s very happy with her career… but it came at what costs?

Marital Status: Widowed.

Pansy met Armand Delvaux when she was just twenty-three years old on a trip to the shoppe in Paris, which had been doing rather well until the fall of Voldemort. On their last bit of finances, the ability to keep the fact that the Parkinsons were actually broke was becoming harder and harder to manage. Meeting Armand had been a gift from Merlin itself, it seemed. Rich he was, though not so handsome, he was forty-two years Pansy’s senior and had lost his original wife in an unfortunate potions accident when the woman was rather young.

Pansy had gotten to work quickly, making herself known as available (though not too available) and Armand had fallen for her even before her knees hit the ground. Honestly, those Gryffindors complaining about torture under the Carrows know nothing until they’ve stuck a wrinkly penis in their mouth to save the family.

They were married within just four months of meeting one another, something his grown children (there are three of them, two daughters and a son - the middle one the same age as Pansy herself) were very vocal about not being in agreement with. While Pansy lived her life with her husband without loving him, she did love what he had to offer her. The funding for Twilfitt went back up - the Paris shoppe suddenly bloomed - and they were able to expand farther than even her father had expected.

The shoppe is now the leading brand for expensive, designer clothing with Pansy at its helm. When Armand died two years ago - rather young for wizards, but Armand had always been known to experiment with the tobacco he put in that pipe of his and his poor heart suffered - she inherited 85% of his money (despite more protests from her stepchildren, really they’ve been such a pain!). With that money, she purchased a rather loftily flat in England with a direct connection via floo to her estate in Paris. The last two years, she’s split her time between the two, but the excitement of France has recently died down and she’s been spending much more time with old friends in England.

Summary: A lot of Pansy’s life shortly after the war had been defined by that one moment in the Great Hall - and, really, how unfair was that! She’d only wanted to have her school stay undestroyed and her friends kept safe, after all. Pansy herself hardly thought about the war at all - and yet, she was being punished publicly for it. While there was no trial or prison for her - the backlash her old classmates gave her for trying to give Potter up to the Dark Lord was enough to make her bristle. That, combined with the Parkinson fortune dwindling, made Pansy run away to Paris to find a rich husband and start a new life. She settled with a man forty-two years older named Armand Delvaux and the failing business her family owned - Twilfitt and Tatting’s - began to thrive again with his money. Pansy herself found passion in fashion designing and her Auria brand is known as one of the leading brands in high-fashion clothing sales. While she spent most of her life after school travelling between Paris and London, she has decided to plant herself anew in the country of old friends and enemies again, now that her dear old husband has died. Many still think of her as that bitch from school and they aren’t wrong… but, cut her some slack, she’s grown up… a little bit.

I included a lot of this discussion above in places I felt they made most sense, but below is a discussion of various things I have yet to add:

-Pansy is not ashamed of what she did during the war because, quite honestly, she hardly did a thing. She was no Death Eater - there was no Azkaban for her. As far as anyone knows, Pansy is the same person as she always was… but maybe just a bit nicer. Of course, that’s a laugh! She’s playing nice because it’s what this new wobbly feelings world wants her to be. She’s still not going to hold hands with Weasley or tell Granger she’s pretty or something insane like that! She’s got standards. She just might not spike your drink with laxative potion for a laugh anymore… well, not much potion anyway. Potter can miss one day of work for her entertainment.

-Pansy is ambitious. She’s a Slytherin for a reason, after all. She’s a designer (not a shoppe keeper, to anyone who may ask, thank you very much!) and values her work. She spends hours working on new pieces for her Auria line and won’t stop until it’s perfected. Some people think fashion is silly - but Pansy knows the truth. It’s an art form. Some wizards have just yet to discover it.

-Pansy is not nice. While she can play at it with a smile when she has to, she’s not above backhanded compliments and manipulation. She’s such a gossip and shouldn’t be trusted with any secret. Who’s dating who (or who’s fucking who, more like it) will be spread like Fiendfyre… whoops, don’t mention that word in front of poor Draco and Gregory… they get a bit sensitive. Pansy “forgot.”

-Perhaps the most curious thing about Pansy is that she both cares and doesn’t care about what other people think about her. It’s why she’s so mean - it’s easier to be the one on top putting everyone else down than have it possibly happen to her. When someone brings up her betrayal of Potter before the final battle, Pansy pretends to easily shrug it off with a perfectly presented insult and a roll of the eyes. But, the truth is, there’s a reason she uses make up potions and wears nice clothes and keeps all the flyaways out of her hair… the better she looks, the less fodder everyone else has for the fire.

-While there was no actual punishment for Pansy after the war, given she never fought for any side, the way those old classmates of hers viewed her after the stunt in the Great Hall was punishment enough. They looked down on her, something that brought up a whole lot of insecurity for her in a way she hated. It was enough to push her to France, agreeing to look after the shoppe there, and allowed her to settle into security with a husband she didn’t love.

-In fact, she did not love Armand at all - even for a second. While Armand was kind to her in some respects, he also very much underestimated her. Kept her out of the discussions when Twilfitt went into business with the Delvaux Company. She could play at her “little designs”, but could not truly take over the business, despite the fact that her line made the business the most money out of anything else they sold. In Armand’s mind, business was no place for a woman, something Pansy was unabashedly in disagreement with.

-Pureblood families - particularly families from higher society - have always stressed reproduction. While marriages are ideally full of love and children, creating an heir has always been the higher standard within the society that Pansy grew up in. She was supposed to get pregnant - supposed to have children and carry on the bloodline, despite any children she may have had not taking on the name Parkinson. That didn’t happen. In the end, it was discovered after trips to several different healers that Pansy could not, in fact, have biological children. Armand was alright with it, as he had three other children to carry on his name, including a son. Pansy could’ve considered adoption - she could’ve considered surrogacy. Instead, she decided that her life would be devoted to her career. She never truly liked children, anyway - just thought becoming a mother was what was expected of a young woman like her. In the end, she has found she feels very fulfilled. She’s usually very happy with her choice, but that doesn’t stop from the occasional pang of resentment and sadness whenever she sees old friends and acquaintances with their growing families.

-Despite what many believe, Pansy does love her friends. Draco is an actual treasure! Even if she is mortified by the way she threw herself at a gay man once upon a time. She very much values his friendship and has spent many visits to England with him. Daphne, too, is practically her soulmate. Pansy adores the woman who has been friends with her since Hogwarts. While Daphne’s status from Spindrift Lane meant she was more easily manipulated, Pansy loves that in a friend. She’s always been Queen Bee, after all.

-But just because she loves you doesn’t mean you’re safe. She’s mean whenever she wants to be - nice whenever it serves her. She might order her friends around sometimes and give backhanded compliments (Oh, your skin finally doesn’t look washed out today in that outfit!), but if anyone else tried to do that to someone she cared for, they’d be in for a rude awakening. Just because she can be a bitch doesn’t mean just anyone can talk to her friends like that! Even her own attitude has died down in recent years, as she grew older and things didn’t matter nearly as much. But she’ll still pull out the claws whenever she has to.

-Pansy is mostly in disagreement with Hermione’s Cerberus program. While she agrees that magical people shouldn’t be just going off with Muggles and therefore the Statute of Secrecy is important, she definitely doesn’t like the idea of people trying to watch her all the time. In her eyes, it’s a very prejudiced program. Who are considered the “suspicious ones?” The Slytherins from the war. Even though Pansy herself did not fight in the battle or even pick a side, she knows how people view her. Just because she was a Slytherin doesn’t mean that she’s off experimenting with Dark Magic and absolutely despises how this program will make her and others like her look.

- Pansy isn’t surprised more shit has arrived on that doorstep, but just like in the last war - she has no interest in playing a part (yet).

-Pansy is back in England now, almost permanently. While she does still visit France periodically, this is the first time she’s been in her home country more often than the other since she was twenty three. Yes, she’s stayed in close contact with her friends… but how will everyone else handle the Ice Bitch being back? She may have grown a bit throughout her time, but would they know it?

-Party on NYE? Pansy’ll throw it, so long as you bring her a gift!

-We have a plethora of Gryffindors and Weasleys and other do-gooders from the war (I play one of them, after all!) on the dash and I wanted to bring in someone who is opposite of Harry and who will give me The fog hardly interests her. Where there’s Hogwarts, there’s trouble. Where there are Weasleys and Potters and all the Gryffindors, there’s trouble.various plots. I’m not against the tension and definitely don’t expect people to just be happy with Pansy, who is rather mean about 70% of the time. I’m all for those interpersonal tension-filled plots.

-While I say Pansy doesn’t want to be part of the war, what I mean is that she’s not ready for it. If this fog business becomes worse - what happens then? She’s an adult now and likely can’t just hide behind not choosing a side. I would love it if she gets sucked into helping, rather than hurting, and is forced to work alongside all these people who probably hate her. If the Order is reestablished, perhaps she can join and be an actual asset. She’s got money - but she also has intel. Just because her husband thought business was no place for a woman didn’t mean Pansy abided by it. She knows more about the people her dad used to do business with than anyone thinks she does. She can be useful to the Order. She doesn’t want Lord Voldemort to come back, after all. He really fucked things up last time!

Contact your network to find a real estate agent Going online to find a broker is one of the best ways to go. But if you prefer a more human touch, you’d be well served to simply ask around. Ask people you know who recently bought or sold a house for their opinion.

It’s best to stick with people who have bought and sold a house in the last six months, because real estate trends change quickly. You want to hear from someone who’s been through the process recently, not a long-time homeowner who bought a decade ago.

If you’re selling a home, ask for recommendations from people who have also sold their home recently. If you’re buying a house for the first time, ask other new homebuyers who they’d recommend. Once you have their recommendations, read any reviews and testimonials available online.

A Future Together - Jamie Oleksiak

Request: Hi could you write something with either Colton Parayko or Jamie Oleksiak where the reader is having a rough day? I’ve been having a rough past few days and really just want to cuddle w/ a big hockey player. I absolutely love your writing btw

I was driving to what I guessed was my new home, wanting nothing more than to drink an entire bottle of wine and not go outside for at least a week. But instead I was driving from Pittsburgh to Dallas, having started the drive this yesterday morning. The things about trades is that most of the time there were other people besides the player who got their life uprooted. Sure hockey was a business but there were real lives affected by trades.

When Jamie got the call a week ago about being traded he came home from the rink and packed two bags worth of stuff before getting on a plane. I had to deal with everything else that was left behind; packing up our shared condo, scheduling everything to be moved or put into storage, putting the home we had lived in together up for sale, and having to say goodbye to the city I had fallen in love with.

Driving because of the sleeping German shepherd puppy, Puck, in my back seat. I didn't want to have to fly with him if possible, I didn't trust any airline with my dog. So I continued my 18 plus hour drive, hoping to get there tonight. Not that it mattered too much because Jamie and the Dallas Stars had just left on a week and a half long road trip. So it wasn’t like I would see him any time soon, and we didn’t have a place of our own yet so he had moved into a long term hotel.

I took a few breaks in my drive to stretch my legs and get some energy out of my puppy who was confused by the whole move. Even with my breaks in the road trip I made it into Dallas around 9, exhausted and in dire need of sleep. Getting a key from the front desk I got Puck settled in the room before going back to the car to grab my bags. Once everything was in the room, I started to cry from exhaustion and frustration. I was glad Jamie wasn’t around right now because it would just make him feel horrible. Getting into bed that night and cuddling up with my dog, I promised myself that tomorrow would be better. I just hoped I wasn’t lying.

I was almost back from my second run of the day, Puck had too much energy to stay cooped up in hotel all day long so I took him on multiple runs and trips to the dog park every day. My plan when I got inside was to shower and work on another chapter of my book. The only good thing in the move is that I can work from wherever, as long as I had my computer I could work on my second book.

My plan for work and shower were thrown for a loop when the cleaning crew was still working on the room. I didn’t want to go in and get my computer, I didn’t want them to know where I kept it. So I turned around with Puck and walked down to a coffee shop that I had been going to a lot in the past week that has an order window so people with pets could get coffee and sit outside with their dogs. I did just that, ordering an iced coffee before sitting down and looking at Instagram on my phone. “Shelly?” I didn’t think anyone was speaking to me until the person said the name again, much closer to me. “Shelly? I thought that was you.” Looking up I saw my entire family standing in front and my mother giving one of her fake smiles.

“Hi mom, dad. Hey Matt.” My brother gave me a sympathetic smile but didn’t say anything.

“What are you doing back in town?” My mother asked in her ‘I’m better than you tone’.

“Jamie got trade back here, I moved back with him.”

“Oh, so you are still with him. And I see no ring still, maybe this is God’s way of punishing you for moving in with a man before you are married. We told you this would end poorly for you and that man you say loves you. Your mother had the perfect young man ready to meet you, he would have been a perfect match for you.” My father said as he looked down is nose at me, judging me for living my life and not following their strict rules anymore.

“And I would probably have a grandchild by now but instead you choose to live in sin. But you know he hasn’t met anyone, so you could still have a chance with him.”

“I love Jamie and that will not change. Ever.”

“You have really disappointed the entire family, when I told your grandfather about your horrible choice he was heartbroken. He has always dreamed of marrying you and a good church boy, but instead you run off to go live with some athlete who does who knows what on the road. Your grandfather would pray for you to find the right way twice a day everyday, he did that everyday until he passed away.”

“I’m sorry that I am such a disappointment to the entire family, it was never my intention but I also am okay that this is my life. If you will excuse me, I need to get going.”

I stood up to leave but my father grabbed my arm. “We will pray for you every day until you realize we are right and come crawling back to us. Hopefully your mother can still find you a husband once you come to your sense.”

“Don’t hold your breath.” Pulling my arm from his hand as Puck growled at him near my feet, I headed back to the hotel fuming but also trying not to cry. As I walked through the lobby I was so close to tears but I didn’t want anyone to see my crying over my stupid family. That all went out the window as soon as the elevator doors closed. It didn’t get too bad until I was in our hotel room, then the flood gates opened.

I think that is why I didn’t realize there was someone else in the room with me until Puck started pulling on the leash. Looking up I saw Jamie standing there, looking concerned and moving towards me. I quickly undid Puck’s leash before falling into Jamie’s open arms. “What’s wrong Michelle?”

“I don’t think I can do this anymore.” I felt Jamie’s arms stiffen around me before he pulled away to look in my eyes. I tried looking up at him but with all of the tears his face was blurry. I reached up to run my one hand on his cheeks, he turned his head to kiss the palm of my hand. “I just don’t think I can do this.”

“What do you mean? Are you breaking up with me?” I had wiped my tears away enough that I could see his face, the worry and dread clear all over his beautiful face.

“No. I’m sorry. You are my everything, I will never think about breaking up with you.”

“Then what is bothering you?”

“Everything else.” I could tell Jamie was waiting for more, but I was just mentally exhausted. “I’m gonna go shower, can we talk after?”

“Yeah, I love you.” His eyes said that he didn’t want to let me go, but he did.

“Love you too.” I stayed in the shower for close to an hour, just letting the warm water flow over my back. By the time I came out into the main area of the hotel room, Jamie was sitting on the small couch that was tucked into the corner of the room.

“I ordered some dinner for us. Can we talk?”

“Yeah, I’m sorry about before. Today is probably the worst day I’ve had since we got the news about the trade. Finally seeing you again just pushed me over the edge.”

“What has been going on here? You haven’t mentioned anything when we talk.” I joined him on the couch, crossing my legs and turning to look at him.

“I miss not having a home, if I forget to put the sign out and I want to sleep in I can’t. I’ve been running a lot with Puck because he has so much energy and the dog park isn’t enough. And I’m tired of ordering out and going out to eat, the kitchen in the room is great for snacks but not much else. And the thing that pushed me over the edge was I saw my family today.”

“I’m guessing that didn’t go well.”

“No. They basically told me that this trade is God’s way of punishing me for living with you without being married. Or more likely they are upset because I didn’t marry the pastor’s son and start popping out children 9 months after the wedding. They told me I am a giant disappointment and I broke my grandfather’s heart. They are going to pray for me until I come to my sense and go crawling back to them. I told them to not hold their breath.” Jamie chuckled, he knew how much I hated my family after how strictly I was raised and how controlling they treated me once I had moved out on my own.

“I’m sorry that today has been so bad, and this whole experience has been so tough for you. I know that this is a lot harder for you than it is for me. I’m on the road or with the new team at practice, I immediately get a new group of brothers to fight for a playoff spot with. You get dropped into a new city, not knowing anyone. I’ll ask some of the guys if there girls can reach out, maybe meet you for coffee or a drink. That way you can meet some new people and make some new friends.

“And I’ll find a real estate agent tomorrow. Hopefully we can find a place by next week so we can get out of this hotel.” I nod into his shoulder, glad that we had some kind of plan in place. If we had a plan I knew I could make it a reality. I became wrapped up in my thoughts of how to move our plan forward when Jamie’s voice started back up. “I’ll go talk to your parents if you want.”

“No, they are going to do whatever they want. I tried for most of my life to make they proud, I’m done with that part of my life. They can think whatever they want of me, it’s not going to bother me anymore. Because I have you, and you are the best thing to happen to me. I love you.”

“I love you too.” I cuddled up with Jamie, chatting about what we were looking for in a place here. I got excited as we dreamed of a future. A future together.

“My name is Kevin. I was born in South London. It was March 93, a Wednesday, and I decided to kill myself.”

The Kid begins with a voice-over of Kevin Lewis (Rupert Friend), as he is dumped out of the back of a van. Kevin is badly beaten about the face, and makes his way into (what was his childhood room) in an old, abandoned house. He drinks from a bottle of alcohol and proceeds to empty numerous pill bottles into his mouth.

The movie flashbacks to 1980 when Kevin is a small boy in his room, drawing on the wall. He sits on his lumpy mattress that is on the bare floor. He lives in a filthy house with his equally filthy parents (Gloria and Dennis), as well as multiple siblings. (Kevin’s mother is brilliantly portrayed by Natascha McElhone, an absolute beauty transformed into an ugly, bitter, and hateful woman.)

The picture painted of Kevin’s childhood is far from pretty. He is kept locked in his room, drawing on his wall, when he is not being beaten by his parents, dragged to the bar by his alcoholic father, or bullied at school. One particular beating Kevin suffers at the hands of his mother elicits the attention of a school nurse, who alerts social services.

Kevin is removed and put into foster care, where his difficulties as an abused child make a proper home placement a real challenge. Kevin’s social worker contacts David (Bernard Hill), a man who runs a children’s home of sorts. David reviews Kevin’s file and offers some insight.

David: “I don’t think Kevin is behaving badly because he’s out of control. I just don’t think anyone’s bothered to tell him how to behave in any other way...This young man has known nothing but hate and violence.”

Kevin flourishes under the care of the staff and learns to control and better express his anger in a healthy manner. The staff throw Kevin a surprise birthday party, and he is genuinely happy. However, the happiness is short-lived. Kevin receives a new social worker who concludes that Kevin should return home. Kevin is crushed and runs away, but David quickly finds him. The scene of the children waving goodbye as Kevin is driven away from the only people who have shown him true love made me want to cry. Of course, nothing changes once Kevin returns home. The abuse continues.

The movie skips to 1985 when Kevin is a teenager attending school. The bullying continues, but Kevin befriends a teacher, Mr. Smith (Ioan Gruffudd), who eventually learns of Kevin’s abuse. Once again, social services is notified. However, it takes one more brutal beating that sends Kevin to the hospital for social services to remove Kevin from his nightmarish parents for good. Unfortunately, this also separates him from his siblings, with whom he shares a sad goodbye.

Kevin is placed into another foster home with Alan (a local sports legend) and Margaret, where he receives a warm welcome and is treated kindly. His foster parents provide Kevin with a whole new life and new interests, which include the stock market. It all seems idyllic, but Alan’s dubious dealings with criminal elements cast a foreboding shadow on Kevin.

(This is when Rupert’s appearance as adult Kevin continues through the rest of the film.) Kevin becomes very driven to prove himself as a success, a winner, and he also starts to show promise in the boxing ring. It draws the attention of his foster father’s shady business associate, Terry, who offers to help him with a job. Alan also offers to help Kevin with funding when Kevin expresses his desire to start his own business. Unfortunately, Alan dies before he can do this. Kevin is heartbroken and vulnerable, and you can smell the vultures circling him. Adding to Kevin’s grief over losing his foster father, Margaret tells Kevin she will sell the family home and its contents, to move closer to her other children.

Kevin offers to buy the house, still thinking he will receive some money from his foster father’s estate. He obtains a mortgage through Terry and Terry’s shady accountant. Kevin moves into the house and feels happy, even hopeful. He goes out to a nightclub with his new friends, and that’s when Kevin sees a woman, Jackie, who catches his eye. He smiles so sweetly and innocently at her from the bar. It’s really quite cute. However, poor Kevin accidentally spills drinks on his new friends and panics. During his panic, he fantasizes about approaching Jackie and kissing her, and then runs out of the club.

Soon enough, Kevin’s life takes a turn for the worse as his job mopping floors does not provide him enough money to pay the mortgage, and it becomes clear he will receive no money from Alan’s estate. Kevin drinks heavily and is woken up one morning by the doorbell. He is served with a repossession order.

Kevin starts making money with Terry boosting cars, but it’s not enough money for the mortgage. Terry brings Kevin to an illegal fight match and wants him to fight. Kevin is apprehensive at first, but fights anyway. It’s not the type of fighting Kevin is used to, so he takes some low blows at first. However, Kevin gets the upper hand and wins. Terry gives Kevin money for the fight, but Kevin just looks bewildered.

The money from the illegal fighting gives Kevin some of the money he needs for a second chance to keep his home. It’s a nice reprieve, but doesn’t last. Terry offers Kevin a business opportunity to run a bar, with just a bit of a catch - Kevin has to buy liquor from Terry and pay for the lease. Terry’s accountant will oversee the account and billing for Kevin, of course. It’s terrible to see how Kevin wants so desperately to be successful, to be somebody, and Terry and his crew continue to take further advantage of his trusting nature.

But of course Kevin doesn’t realize the scam just yet. He’s just happy to feel like he is worth something. He dons sharp black suit and meets Terry at his nightclub to sign papers for his new bar. There he spots Jackie, and he finally gets a chance to introduce himself.

Kevin opens his new bar, and he has a lot of customers, including Terry and his men. It’s clear they are going to milk Kevin for everything they can get, demanding liquor on the house and taking money from the business. Meanwhile, Kevin strikes up a relationship with Jackie, sharing how important success is to him.

He sidesteps questions about his family. It’s clear he is still damaged by his past, despite how happy he thinks he is being an entrepreneur. As the relationship progresses, they are intimate. Kevin is somewhat hesitant and awkward during their lovemaking, and you are once again reminded just how childlike and vulnerable he is.

Before long, Terry confronts Kevin about the debt he owes to him and suggests he closes down the bar. Terry pushes Kevin into more illegal fights. Kevin has such a lost and empty look in his eyes when he fights. He resigns himself to a fate he feels he cannot change. He drinks and continues drawing on his bedroom wall. His relationship with Jackie suffers. She tells Kevin he never shows her affection or tells her he loves her. Rupert’s acting here just wrenches your heart out of your chest. He depicts Kevin’s struggle to express his feelings to Jackie in such an intense manner. You can feel his frustration.

Heartbroken, Kevin drinks with Terry and his shady bunch. Terry tells him he is closing the bar, which again crushes Kevin’s hopes and dreams. As Kevin begs Terry to keep the bar open, he learns Terry bet against him at his last fight and lost money.

Kevin’s life continues its downhill slide. He receives a call from one of his siblings that their mother is now beating her grandchildren. Kevin confronts his mother and orders her to stop.

Kevin: “You’re not going to touch them kids again, do you hear me? Or you’re going to have me to deal with.”

Gloria: “Is that supposed to scare me, is it? I’ve heard about you getting knocked about for a living. It’s all you’re good for. It’s all you was ever good for. And if you can hold your own, it’s me you’ve got me to thank for that, isn’t it?”

As Kevin leaves, his mother continues yelling at him, spewing her cruelty with her words instead of her fists now.

Gloria: “You’re not my fucking son!”

Kevin: “I never fucking was!”

(Can I just say again how amazing Natascha McElhone is in this role? She and Rupert lend a great intensity to their roles in this scene.) Kevin returns home to see the house is repossessed. His meager possessions are placed outside on the driveway. Kevin is distraught and cries, sitting with the few things he has left in the world.

At this point, Kevin has a breakthrough of sorts. He burns his belongings in a trash can. With this action, it’s as if he kills the person he once was and becomes someone else. And this is where we see a Quinn-like attitude and presence come over Kevin. He meets with an old friend and requests his help to sell Kevin’s car. Kevin gives him a list of people to contact after his next fight, and then he will go “where no one else can find me.”

Before Kevin begins the fight, he drinks from some small bottle. Kevin saunters towards his opponent, and Terry warns him that he better win the fight. Kevin taunts his opponent and allows himself to be beaten to a pulp. As he receives the final beating of his life, he experiences flashbacks of both his parents beating him. After the fight, Kevin is thrown in the back of a van and later tossed out onto the road. This is where the movie originally began.

While Kevin tries to kill himself with booze and pills, his friend distributes money in envelopes to his siblings. In Kevin’s drug-fueled stupor, he sees his life flashing before him: good times, his attempts at success, being swindled, fighting for Terry, and so on. Kevin suddenly awakens, and he is transformed again. He packs up and leaves, going to his bar to retrieve documents that he then takes to a different accountant.

Kevin meets up with his friend, who gives him the money from the sale of his car. Kevin’s friend implores him to be careful, but Kevin just smiles that sweet smile…and then he buys a gun! As Kevin’s plan unfolds, I immediately thought of Quinn. You see, just like Kevin the teenager finally fought back against bullies in school, Kevin the adult fights back against the bullies who used him to run a business they left bankrupt and made more money off of him at the expense of his poor, beaten soul. It’s time to settle the score.

Kevin rolls up on Terry and his crew at their nightclub before it is open for business. As Kevin enters the office, he immediately punches one of Terry’s goons while the accountant watches, and then calmly pulls his gun on Terry.

Terry: “Don’t be stupid, son.”

Kevin: “I’ve been stupid for far too long. You’ve played me like a fucking fool.”

Terry: “What are you going on about?”

Kevin: “You fucked me. You knew I was desperate, and you played me for a fool.”

His demeanor is quite chilling, and again reminds me of Quinn as he sits down and throws a document at Terry to sign. Kevin lays out his demands for what he is owed, making clear he knows exactly what they did and how they took advantage of him.

Kevin: “I’ve got nothing left to lose I’ll put a bullet in you and then one in me.”

Kevin cocks the gun and brings it to his head with another chilling smile, before he points the gun back at Terry, losing the smile and giving the hard Quinn stare. (GREAT SCENE!) Everyone can see Kevin means business.

After the accountant gives Kevin the money and Terry signs the document, Kevin sits down on Terry’s desk and leans towards him.

Kevin: “When I walk out that door, you and me are finished. You can carry on acting like…(Sorry I couldn’t decipher, and the DVD did not have English subtitles!) I don’t mind. I won’t tell anyone. But if you ever come near me again, I’m going to kill you. That make sense?” (Kevin delivers yet another frightening smile before departing.)

As Kevin is leaving, the goon moves to stop him. Kevin gives him the Quinn business and puts him in his place quite efficiently.

Kevin: “You…talk too much. And you’re fucking rude.”

Kevin returns to his friend and gives him the signed document. Next, he turns his attention to Jackie while she is in a work meeting. Kevin professes his love for her in front of everyone.

Kevin: “I just love you. That’s all that matters. There’s a million things that I should have said to you, a long time ago. A few thousand of them were written in this.” Kevin hands his journal over to Jackie.

Kevin: “You make me feel not ashamed anymore.”

My name is Itzel Solano, and I am the owner of 10th Fitness, Private Personal Training.

I was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and was brought to the US by my parents when I was 8 years old, who were searching for better opportunities for their children.

I never in my life thought I would be opening a gym, since I was overweight almost my entire college career. Nor did my education align with personal training at all. But life has a way of molding you for your true purpose.

I graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a dual degree in Architecture and Construction Science, and a Masters in Architecture. It was a very stressful career to go for at times, with lots of all-nighters and long nights in the Architecture building. It was easy to put on weight, as my health and fitness weren’t the priority at that time. But I started losing sight of who I was, and I knew deep in my heart that I had to make my health a priority.

I began to work out shortly after I started Grad School, and I immediately got hooked. I loved the structure it provided me, and the discipline I was building by using my afternoon workouts as relief after a long day in the Architecture building. I was seeing change in not only my body, but my mind. It made me laser focused and energetic. I graduated with a 3.85 GPA and got an Architecture job right out of school. But I truly believe that had I not taken on a fitness lifestyle, I wouldn’t have achieved the success that I got.

All I had ever wanted in life was the corporate job of my dreams, to apply my creativity into something I loved, and to pay my parents back for all their sacrifices. But the more desk jobs I got, the more it started to hit me. The highlights of my days were after work, when I got to the gym.

It was until my 3rd job after college that I was sitting in front of my desk drawing up another boring plan, daydreaming about how I could help others achieve their fitness dreams when COVID hit the United States. I was laid off, along with a few others on the Design team. In a way, life had thrown me the opportunity I was too scared to jump at this entire time. It was then that again, health and fitness had to come on top. I wasn’t made to sit at a desk and work for somebody who saw me as another number. I had a bigger purpose than that.

In January of 2021, I opened 10th Fitness. I had fallen down so many times in my own fitness journey, and gotten myself back up, that I decided my gym would represent that even when you fall down 9 times, you gotta get up 10!

My gym is completely private to one personal training client at a time. It is geared to have the ultimate focus on you and your goals. All personal training packages include sessions, nutrition coaching and complete 24/7 access to me, a NASM Certified Nutrition coach, Personal Trainer, and Bodybuilder.

I opened my gym in the Northside of Houston, Texas. In an area where healthy options for food and activities aren’t really available. This is more than my own fitness dreams, it is about making a larger impact on this community, and the people who need it most.
