so archer's pysche based on his coma (cyril focused)

not to be back on my cyril and archer are obsessed with each other ordeal but im just now thinking about how its kinda odd the representation of cyril in his dreams versus the other characters.

i would say that the representation of the characters in his dream seasons is pretty indicative of his thoughts and attitudes towards them. ie mom is overbearing yet distant; pam serves as his best friend and confidant; lana is the one that got away yet theyre drawn to one another; cheryl is a crazy motherfucker; ray is just kinda there and comedic figure; krieger is basically just krieger

but the depiction of cyril is crazyyy . i mean literally but also contextually. while subconsciously trying to emasculate him as usual ,, he kinda also makes him the big bad of 2/3 seasons and therefore unintentionally emphasizes the importance of their dynamic/relationship. and despite the fact that we're supposed to believe from archer that cyrils relationship with lana was not a perceived threat in 2/3 seasons cyril still has a sexual relationship with lana. i think its also interesting how cyril goes from this essentially laughable villian in seasons 8 and 9 to a closer representation of his actual proximity to archer in season 10

AND season 10 is kinda the season thats supposed to get us to transition into believing okay so this is why archer suddenly wants to reconfess to lana . like coincidence that in the season where we're supposed to care about lana and archer in a romantic context again suddenly cyril plays less of a role ? think again

i mean alister who while clearly studied up on cyril and archer somehow comes to the conclusion that they're best friends,, so i mean thats canon enough that they occupy far too much of each other's frontal lobe

also like at the beginning of season 11 when it was no longer in fashion to really make fun of cyril and the fact that kinda cyril had seemingly moved on from his archer obsession (clearly very short lived escape) archer could not even like cope or fathom it .

in conclusion : fellas is it gay to obsess about another man so much that your subconscious makes him a main character in your head even in a coma ? a larger role than the ex you're in love with ?
