Marcille is actually one of the biggest reasons it took so long to pinpoint which Chilchuck was the imposter in today’s episode.

The Senshi and Marcille imposters had their own reasons for being hard to decipher, but that was a joint effort on the party’s part. Chilchuck was the only example where a single member’s bias actually swayed the others so strongly that it made them all doubt themselves.

Ryouko Kui did an excellent job of giving us a rich background on how different races interact, and how they may descriminate against each other. Each of the races in this series struggles with these prejudices. Our main characters are not exempt from this, and we see it clearly in the way the shapeshifter manifested as each party member, showing us how the others percieve them.

Marcille knows Chilchuck well, and cares deeply for him as a friend. But she’s not immune to assumptions and biases that come from her elven background. The Chilchuck imposter we are faced with, when it’s down to two of them left, is Marcille’s memory of Chilchuck, Marcille’s perception of how he behaves.

One of the first manifestations of this bias occurs when shapeshifter Chilchuck can’t get a jar open.

The real Chilchuck knows that this would never happen—at least not in this way. Chilchuck is proud, yes, but he asks for Laios’ help all the time. Laios is actually one of the party members he is the most likely to ask help from, given how long they’ve known each other, and how much mutual trust exists between them.

However, the whole scenario isn’t right. Chilchuck wouldn’t give up so easily on opening something; his whole job is opening and unlocking things. He would never quit an attempt like this within 5 seconds, then run to Laios so that “big strong adult tall-man” can open it for him.

Marcille is the one who asks, “Huh? Why do you say that?” because Marcille is partially right. Chilchuck does rely on Laios, and Marcille knows this to be true. But she fails to realize how he relies on Laios.

Chilchuck respects many of Laios’ talents, but the most important ones are his combat skills, his emotional fortitude, and his quick thinking when delegating tasks. He trusts Laios as someone he is comfortable following (he literally said to him and Shuro in the last episode: “Laios!! Tell us what do!! Give us orders!!” when chimera Falin was quickly overpowering them).

So while Marcille almost understands Chilchuck’s confidence in Laios, she tends to accidentally infantilize him in the process.

She immediately believes that Chilchuck B (the imposter, who is specifically using her own memory as its base for Chilchuck’s personality) is the real one, and says so, because she’s blinded by her perception of him as being childlike and adorable because of the very common racial prejudices that half-foots deal with all the time.

She dotes on the imposter, and is open with her affections, as usual (again, her care for him is clear), but doubles down on that bias, on her own assumptions of Chilchuck’s behavior shown through her own lens.

And ultimately, Laios was able to tell the difference, but only because he watched how the Chilchucks handled other minute tasks. Marcille’s stance on which Chilchuck was real truly did throw the others for a loop, at least until the threat passed. And honestly, that’s part of what makes the shapeshifter so terrifying. Its strategy almost worked.

N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs) There is no chance that Lando will ever in his life ask you for anal sex or agree to it. NO CHANCE. Ever since he first heard about it in his life, it has disgusted and disturbed him so much at the same time that he stands away.

O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.) Well, don't tell me Lando doesn't look like a munch. Totally do. With the rest, slow sex is not for you. Well, I beg you, where would all the fun be? The whole process is a little slower when Lando finally pushes you to the wall and your relationship is not in any comfortable place, but he continues to try to keep his cool.

Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.) You love quickies. What more can be said here? You can't keep your hands off each other, so every possible opportunity to get even closer is even advisable. You definitely prefer it more, of course, when you have more time (and, most importantly, space), but when there is no such chance, quick fun together is fine for you.

R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.) Norris has it in him that he likes to take risks - he doesn't spare himself from hot kisses with you in public or even light pinches or pats on your buttocks. But if the matter comes down to sex, I don't think he's taking too many risks. Lando respects his privacy after all, so sexual matters remain between you. Possibly in front of the whole club when you come out of the restroom quite smudged and giggly. Or in front of his family, well. What goes in the family doesn't die, right?

S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?) As much as you want. Really. Lando I think is pretty darn sturdy and can fly several rounds at a time, which is no surprise to you. More than once, with light breaks, you spent the whole night like that. Sometimes it would even start to dawn and you would be in each other's naked embrace, the hot temperature of the room and a mass of giggles.

T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?) No, he doesn't own any toys. He just doesn't have any - he's not a contrarian, he himself even bought his friend an inflatable doll for his birthday. In your relationship he would sooner use some on you, so 100%, if you own a vibrator, Lando will reach for it at some point and see how it works on you.

U = Unfair (how much they like to tease) Lando is so damn teasing! Once he will rub up against you, once he will "accidentally" touch you somewhere, once he will whisper such ungodly things to you, and then he will leave without a word. And during sex? I beg to differ. If only he has the strength to do so, he will interrupt until the last moment before your climax, just to hear your voice admonishing him in the midst of your moans.

V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.) Ay Lando is loud. In every possible aspect of his life, so in bed too. If he doesn't talk during sex, you definitely won't have it quietly anyway. Norris often giggles, and when he's not giggling, he's pretty darn vocal. Oj this boy is definitely not afraid to moan and show that he feels like heaven thanks to you.

W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character) He loves, well he so much loves to brand you. He gets the same way when you bestow a hickey on his neck. Raspberries on your breasts? That's the standard. In summer it's hard to hide the signs of love from Lando under dresses and short tops. But that's what he loves. He proudly shows off whether it's his neck or his chest.

X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes) Well I think above average. Although Lando is not some particularly tall and massive, that's what his advantage is. I'm telling you that there's something about his pants that you don't expect ;P

Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?) God. Huge. As I mentioned before - you can't take your hands off each other. If you could, you would fuck each other every day. No matter what way - any way would be good. That's why yes, the sex drive Lando threw up when he first met you. And no matter what you do or what you're wearing! Remember

Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards) Ay, it depends on the moment. Anyone who knows Lando knows well that he happens to fall asleep in the least expected places and circumstances. This is also the case after your sex, but by the fact that there are a lot of emotions in between, he has to talk them out first, and only then can he go to sleep. After proper after care on your part and his, you both fall asleep in each other's embrace (Lando on your breasts)

this boy is the biggest swiftie ever. before you started dating, james already knew the most popular songs from taylor and never hid the fact that he loves each one of them. but after he met you? he listened to you talking about the whole taylor lore for HOURS and even asked questions to see if he was understanding everything, and after a long way of making him listen to the whole discography, he's favorite album is — of course — 1989.

when taylor announced the eras tour in london, james knew that he needed to get those tickets. not only because he enjoys the songs, but because he knows how the singer makes you happy. and he knew all the hours he spent on the online queue were worth it when he saw a big smile on your face and received thousands of kisses.

and he was just excited as you. you both spent hours together making friendship bracelets, trying to decide the outfits, and listen to all taylor songs over and over again.

i think you and james definitely went to the eras tour in matching outfits of "miss americana" and "the heartbreak prince". <3

SIRIUS BLACK

i can't picture sirius being a swiftie, but i can see him being a huge fan of speak now (especially the vault songs) and even reputation.

even though you both have some differences in your music taste, you complete each other really well! and he never made fun of you for like more taylor swift, in fact, he admires how you love the things that bring you joy.

sirius is the one who volunteered to help with your makeup and outfit, and imagine you and him customizing your outfits together.

you have the best time together, and after the concert, you (and especially sirius) couldn't stop talking about how amazing everything was and how taylor is fucking insane for making a three hour show.

REMUS LUPIN

hear me out: you and remus just so passionate about literature and poetry that you both spent late nights just discussing the folklore and evermore lyrics together.

you were the one who presented folklore and evermore for remus, and needless to say, he was impressed with the production and lyrics of the album. he didn't know that taylor swift was making these types of songs.

he can't say no to you, and obviously, he accepted going to the eras tour with you. it was easy to say he wanted to go with a "evermore" outfit, and you matched with him going with a "folklore" outfit.

The Amazing Digital Circus Episode 2 thoughts

I was actually expecting different, but it was still amazing. The story was beautiful, and I feel bad for Gumigoo. I also love how they held a funeral for Kaufmo, they must have really cared about him. Ragatha crying was sending me and my friend in tears! I love Ragatha so much, she's my favorite. I think I also love Pomni even more in episode 2 than episode 1. I don't think I like Jax as much in episode 2 as episode 1, but I absolutely love Gumigoo as a character! Even though he was kind of a tough guy, he had a soft side and character development that allowed us to feel sympathy for him, and when Pomni comforted him and offered to help, YES! We love Pomni even more now! Also, can we talk about Princess Loolilalu for a second? How adorable was she? I love her voice!!!! I love her design too!!! She's an icon!

I liked the moments with Gangle driving the truck and Jax being a d*ckhead but I don't like Jax as much as I did in the first one. Also, what's the figurine story that Gangle didn't want Jax to tell Ragatha about? I just gotta know!!! I also love how at the end, Caine said he knew how much they loved the NPCs but explained why they couldn't stay at the circus, but poor Pomni! she didn't know! Another thing, I think it was more emotional than the first one but I loved it.

The biggest thing I noticed was THE GREEDY REFERENCE! As a huge fan of Raggedy Ann & Andy Musical Adventure (it's my second favorite movie of all time, it's so special to me) and I loved the greedy reference! The voice actor also sounded JUST LIKE HIM! Everyone who voiced in this did an amazing job. 10/10

What did you think? I was expecting it to be a little longer than the first episode, and I was expecting a recap of episode 1 before they did the theme song, but they didn't do the theme song. It also had a sad ending with the funeral and cut to the outro music being kinda happy. I'm fine with it, though. What are your thoughts? I LOVED it! It was more emotional which is fine!

How do you know about glass children?!? It's like you go out of your way to incorporate and see disabled people and it's so nice to be seen!

I actually didn't until someone asked me if that's what I was doing with Bumblestripe and Blossomfall! I just. perfectly wrote the dynamics and feelings associated with Glass Children for B&B and learned there was a name for it LMAO

I'm interested in types of abuse and dynamics within families, how pain passes down between generations. I write a lot about it and like to listen to people's experiences. It's complex and nuanced, but somehow, it's all similar. Pain isn't that different between people-- how they react to it is.

People say, "Listen to disabled people/abusive victims/marginalized persons" and I think some folks don't know what that means. What that means is; seek out people's individual experiences and learn how they describe their own lives, in their own terms. How they interact with their family, what annoys them, the language they wished people used, day to day tricks that make their lives easier.

For Jayfeather I just did a lot of that. Took people's input on how to do the warrior training arc, what they wish was more common in these stories, and what to avoid.

And for how his relationship is to Brambleclaw... well, honestly, Brambleclaw is my special boodle boy and no one understands him like I do✨✨ This man is a terrible father and a toxic mate✨✨✨He never should have had power over kits or Clans and Bad Bramble Dad is actually incredibly interesting as a continuation of the TNP characterization and segways nicely into the sorts of bad choices he makes as a leader✨✨✨✨✨

That man plays favorites with his children just like his own dad did, lathering affection on whoever pleases him most, he is incapable of doing an accurate self-reflection because the idea that he might actually, truly be like his own father is so painful that he can't confront the idea and becomes defensive at the very thought ✨✨✨

#Jokes aside I really don't mean shade to the majority of the fandom that would have preferred Bramble be unproblematic #In fact I agree he's absolutely unrecognizable from his TPB characterization #but also. Bramble's abuse is actually profoundly interesting. The way he's petty and can't handle the idea of losing control #And GOOD GODS it's so rare to see people hit the sweet spot #People either make him an inhuman monster or remove the abuse entirely and like... Don’t get me wrong I love Ryan Gosling’s Ken more than I love anyone else rn. I owe that character my life. I genuinely would not have lived through the last 6 months if I didn’t have that movie breathing life back into me when I was at my lowest point, he’s my number one go-to character when my flashbacks are happening and when I need support. The Barbie movie would not have happened if Margot didn’t get the rights to Barbie and trust Greta 100%. Nobody believed in this movie more than Margot did, because she believed in Greta, she knew it would be a powerful film. It would not have been half the story that it is if Greta didn’t direct this movie. Greta and Margot are the reason this movie 1) exists in the first place and 2) the reason the movie is as incredible as it is. Not to mention Margot had to convince Mattel that they needed to get comfortable with the idea of being uncomfortable. They were allowed to get away with SO MUCH because Margot is an artist at putting her 110% into everything she does and that includes getting Mattel to allow any of this to exist in the first place when they are so careful with Barbie.

Margot and Greta are literally everything. Ryan is JUST. KEN. THAT HAS BEEN THE ENTIRE FUCKING POINT
