"You can do it, just talk calmly." She said to herself, very softly as she opened the flower shop door. The sound of the little bell filling the room, announcing someone's entry.
"Welcome, how can I help you today?" The attendant who had the badge with the name "Melissa" inlaid greeted with a sweet and friendly smile.
"Ahn... Well, it's just that the first time I came here I bought a peace lily to decorate my apartment for the first time and a b-boy attended to me. His name is Keith. He helped me a lot by answering my questions, and s-so I came to tell him how the flower is doing and ask for some more tips on how to preserved it.” She blurted out in a nervous tone when she realized that it wasn't the blond attendant she had been expecting.
"Ahh, yes. I see." Said Melissa in a calm manner as she understood what the girl was saying still with a smile on her face. "My colleague went out to place an order before he finished his workday, but I can offer you some tips on how to take care of your little plant and make it last for a long time." She said, taking out a little notebook.
"A-ah, yes, please. If it's not too much trouble."
After Melissa gave Eve some tips, she still wrote them down on a notebook sheet, explaining them calmly and answering all her questions. She thanked for the help and said goodbye before leaving the flower store. Although it was not quite what she had expected, the attendant Melissa, Keith's colleague, was very nice and helpful. Melissa seemed like a very nice person, she thought. Waiting for the traffic light to open so she could cross, she began to smile as she recognized a tall figure with an unmistakable skin tone. It was like a déjà vu from the first time they met.
"Hi, Eve! Where you goin’?" Greeted Tenebris as she approached.
"Hi Tenebris, what's up, I'm going to my work."
"Do you mind if I walk with you? I can drop you off if you wish." He inquired, putting his hands in his pockets. She couldn't help the slight giggle she gave. Eve always thought it was very cute of him how, ever since they met, Tenebris accompanied her whenever he could. - There was even one time one weekend when she met him on the way home and invited him to watch a movie together. That day was a lot of fun for both of them. - And even then, he always asked if he could accompany her, and she always answered yes.
"Oh, sure. If it's not in your way, we can go ahead and talk. " Eve said, already guiding the direction of the path beside Tenebris. "I've been practicing my shooting in Rainbow Six, it just gets hard to practice in a match style, because sometimes they take the gun I wanted to use," Eve said trying to make conversation as they walked. She had thought Tenebris was so cool at first, she had been nervous about making small talk or asking him to do any activities together. But now she felt much more comfortable in his presence. "When you are free, shall we play together? I really need some tips from you and for you to help me level up."
"Sure! You can leave it to me. I'm among the highest ranks there. With my help, you'll move up in status in no time. The key to winning the match is to pay close attention to the drones and always keep an eye on the map. During the week, I usually play more in the evening and early morning."
"Me too," Eve said, the two of them turning the corner could already see the building she worked in getting closer and closer as they walked. "We can arrange a good time by text. Is that okay?"
Tenebris' contact had been safe since the day he appeared out of nowhere in her apartment weeks ago. That gave her quite a fright. It felt as if her heart would jump out of her chest. Fortunately, she understood that he didn't mean any harm, but because he didn't know that you can't just barge into other people's homes. If it had been anyone else she would have found it hard to believe, but Tenebris' honesty reflected directly in his face, leaving no doubt at all. She trusted his word. Although it was really strange that he didn't know basic things like this, but who was she to question? Maybe he hadn't been directly taught in his childhood. Eve couldn't blame him. That was one of the reasons she had given him her number in the beginning. She wanted to make sure he wouldn't do anything reckless or dangerous again.
"But of course! That's fine with me."
"I need to go in now, see you later."
She held out her arms and reached up to hug him. That caught Tenebris a little off guard, but he quickly reciprocated with even more intensity. Squeezing her even tighter, but trying hard not to hurt her unintentionally with his abnormal strength unknown to Eve. Relaxing in the shared warmth. He was so tall that he could rest his head on top of her head.
"Oh, that's right!" Eve remembered something, trying to pull away from Tenebris' grip, in which he let go against his own will. "You like chocolate too, right? Here. I won a basket of chocolate in a raffle. I separated some for you." She handed the bag with the chocolates to him, not noticing his cheeks taking on a stronger shade of purple.
"Huh? Are you serious? T-thank you! You're very kind... did you set this aside just for me?"
"Uhum, I hope you like it," Said with a shy smile. "I have to go now, bye!" She said goodbye with a nod, walking towards the building's entrance. Leaving behind a paralyzed Tenebris with the silliest, happiest face that could exist who waved back.
-
"...Eve?"
A light knock on the table roused her from her reveries. Jacob, a colleague from work, was staring at her with an arched eyebrow.
"H-hi! Yes! ... What did you say again?"
"I came to ask if you received the email detailing the perfumery client's requests and demands. Since you didn't confirm it."
"A-ah," she straightened her posture in her chair to answer. "Yes, I did! Sorry, I ended up forgetting to confirm."
"It's okay, don't worry. Just try not to forget next time please." He assured with a smile already heading for the exit, until he stopped halfway.
"Oh, one more thing, here are two tickets. The client asked me to give them to you since he's going to take over the visual identity project for his store. Apparently it's for a famous flower fair he's having around town. He says it is to 'get a better feel for the real essence of the flowers' or something and he wanted to go along so he could educate you better but something came up. I would say that you were very lucky to get this client, but I have heard that he is quite extravagant in what he wants, and not in a good way. Not to scare you, of course. Just that I warned you about it. If you need any help, you know you can count on me, right?" Jacob said, putting his hand on her shoulder and giving her an empathetic look. "Anyway, here they are, and good luck on the project."
Eve took the tickets with one hand, the other trying to stifle a yawn, taking a closer look at them as Jacob finished packing up his things, waving before leaving. His schedule was ending as well. He decided to gather his things to go home when he heard a notification on his cell phone.
It was from his college friend, asking how she was.
Looking both ways, as if to make sure it was okay to text at the end of business hours, confirming the already empty tables, Eve began to tell of her day. About the failed attempt to try to talk to Keith, the meeting with Melissa for the first time, and the tickets she won from the client.
"That's it! You should ask him out."
"What?!"
She said, immediately covering her mouth in a meager attempt to muffle the sound. This took her by surprise, causing her to nearly choke on her own saliva. Fortunately she was talking by text message and not by video call. Or her co-workers would be giving her judgmental looks right now. Even though there was almost no one left on that floor.
"You said he was a nice guy, was single, and liked flowers. And that the tickets are for you to learn more about flowers and stuff. What's the problem then? You'd be putting the good and the bad together."
"The problem is that I've never done that before. What if I say something stupid? Or scare him? No, I will definitely scare him. Said in reply.
"That's impossible. How are you going to scare him? I know you can be a little off your head sometimes and say random things out of the blue, but you're still a nice person. Anyone would find you interesting. In fact, if I were you, I would have asked for his number the moment you met, but since you are shy, ask him about the flowers, for more information and tips. Use this project to your advantage as a way to get closer to him. Just act naturally and don't talk weirdness."
Eve stared at her friend's last messages for a while. Reflecting on the pros and cons. What harm could it do? It was a way to get closer to the florist. She still needed more information about the flower bouquet. It seemed to her a plausible reason to call Keith out without making it too obvious. In the end she concluded that there was nothing to lose. At worst, the rejection would serve as an experiment and she would try miserably to pretend it didn't happen, she thought.
"Okay. Wish me good luck then! If it goes wrong it's your fault!"
"Good luck! Everything will work out fine! Let me know how it goes."
-
"Okay, act naturally and don't talk weird. Act naturally and don't talk weird."
She continually repeated in her head as she opened the door to the flower shop that was on the way to her work the next day. The sound of the little door bell announcing her entrance.
"Welcome." Said the blond attendant behind the counter. "Hi, Eve. Good to see you again. What can I do for you today? Melissa told me you came by the other day. I'm so glad to hear that your little flower is doing well." He said with a cute smile on her face. Her cheeks were slightly pink, giving her face a more delicate look. Eve didn't want to miss any details of his features. Just hearing his voice made her happy.
"A-ah yes. It was... I came to get some tips on how to preserve her better and tell you that she's doing well. Thanks to the tips you two gave, I was able to keep her alive."
She tried, but unsuccessfully, to disguise the nervousness installed in her. As well as the shyness, due to the fact that her cheeks were probably flushed from being close to Keith.
It was almost impossible not to notice how handsome he was. His neat golden curls. His brown eyes that sparkled in the light. The fact that I was always dumbfounded to notice the contrast between their heights. Besides being handsome, Keith was very polite and kind. He always charmed Eve with his passion for flowers and his enthusiasm to tell her various curiosities about how the way an arrangement is put together expresses different meanings.
Walking around the store looking for the courage to bring up the subject, it was much harder to think calmly when you were actually face to face with him. Observed him attending to the customers out of the corner of her eyes while pretending to pay attention to some flowers. When the store was truly empty, with no more customers in sight, she approached him when she was sure it was just the two of them in the store.
"Ah... Keith?"
"Yes?" He said, turning his face in her direction. "Do you need any help or did you find what you were looking for?"
She felt her cheeks heat up at the thought that maybe she hadn't faked it convincingly enough.
"N-not really..."
She took a deep breath and continued
"I was in charge of a project related to a flower business at my work. A client who is opening a branch of a perfumery here in town hired us to create a visual identity and gave me two tickets to go to a flower festival to get more inspiration. I think the name was Floral Festival? Do you know it?"
Eve watched the blond florist stand paralyzed for a few milliseconds, until a smile implanted itself on his beautiful face and he nodded vigorously, making her heart skip a few beats.
"Yes! Of course I do! In fact, I've been wanting to go for a long time, but I couldn't get the tickets in time, since it's such a big event."
Knowing this couldn't be more encouraging to Eve. It was finally her chance to ask him out.
"W-well, I got two tickets since the client won't be able to go with me due to some unforeseen circumstances and I alone don't understand much of the meanings of flowers. So if you are free tomorrow...would you like to go together with me?"
Nervous was hardly enough to describe how Eve felt at that moment. It was the first time she had ever asked someone out. The first time she had ever been interested in someone to the point that she wanted to be with them and listen to them talk for hours on end. If she could spend these moments with Keith, she would be more than fulfilled.
As she tried to discreetly dry her sweaty hands, she could swear she saw Keith's face light up at the invitation, filling her heart with hope.
"Of course! I'd love to go along! It's going to be quite an experience. There are so many varieties of flowers that are displayed at this festival...it's going to be amazing! I can show you the lilies, roses, tulips! You can count on me!"
Eve's heart was beating so hard at that moment. She hoped with all her might that it wasn't so obvious the happiness that implanted itself on her face at that moment.
"Perfect! Thank you very much! It will help so much!" The happiness she felt at that moment could be compared to winning a rare character with few resources in a game. A unique luck. " At what time can we go together? What do you say we make better arrangements over the cell phone?" She said, already pulling her cell phone out of her pocket to try to save his number. In fact, Eve would have liked to ask for his number from the first time she saw him when she entered the flower shop looking for shelter from the rain, but she was too shy for that. And hoped that this way she could get closer to him. If only she had the same courage and honesty as Tenebris when he asked for her number.
"A-ah... Well, actually," Observed Keith fussed a bit before continuing. "My cell phone broke and I ended up losing all my contacts. I'm out for now. How about I drop by and pick you up at your place? You can write your address right here on this paper." He concluded as he took a piece of paper from the counter with a pen and directed it to her.
"Oh, that's fine! No problem for me" Eve replied, cautiously taking the pen from Keith's soft hands.
She had waited for days, which turned into weeks for a chance to approach the florist and she would not let this opportunity pass her by.
"See you tomorrow morning then?" She asked, before handing over the paper with her address written down.
"Yes! See you tomorrow!"
She gave a nod, taking one last look at Keith before leaving.
Her steps were so light. It felt like she was floating on fluffy clouds, but her heart was still racing. She couldn't believe what had just happened. She walked towards her apartment, almost dancing. Happiness stamped shyly on her face.
-
"You need to get out of your little world, life is much more than your room, you know? What experiences are you going to have locked in your room all day? That's not life."
"I know mom, I've been taking bike rides in the park and hanging out with my friend. I don't just stay at home..."
It was only a few minutes before Keith arrived, but Eve was stuck talking to her mother on her cell phone, who decided to lecture her at that hour.
"Don't be like your brother. The other day I fought with him for being locked in his room all day. He needs to focus on his studies, he is about to graduate from high school. You know I only want what's good for you. I am afraid that you will hurt yourself while you are distracted like this. Try to be alert at all times, especially when you go out. There are many rumors going around of people being harassed late at night.
"I know mom, don't worry, I promise I am taking care of myself."
Her mother meant well and cared about her and her younger brother, but she didn't know how to listen to the opinions of others. It bothered Eve that only her opinions mattered. If she had a different opinion than her mother, she didn't take it well. She couldn't understand how liking to stay at home more, amounted to isolating herself from the world and living in a bubble. Really, what did one thing have to do with the other? She could exaggerate sometimes. That's why she did everything she could to move out and live on her own, where she felt much better without all the pressure on her.
"All right then, I'll call you later for a better talk. Now I have to go. Once again, be careful! Kisses, see you later."
"Bye, see you later."
She waited to end the call before letting out a sigh. That had sucked a lot of her desire to leave now.. It frustrated her too much to not be enough or never do enough to please her mother. In time she just accepted it with her mouth shut and tried to forget, although it still made her sad when it happened. When she was sad, she would isolate herself and try to distract her mind by playing games or watching something, but she had a date with Keith right now. She couldn't let it end her day.
That's what she decided. Closing the lights in her apartment, she refilled her kitty's food bowl, and gave her a small cuddle while she watched her eat. Getting up, he picked up his cell phone from the table and saw that he had received a message from someone at work. But he decided to check it another time. He was off duty and couldn't think of anything else to do at that moment. Now was also not the time to be sad and depressed.
Going down to the reception, she put the last touches on her dress and hair. Checking if everything was in its place. Until she heard footsteps coming from her right side.
"Did I take too long?" There was no mistaking hearing that sweet voice that made Eve's heart leap just by uttering measly syllables.
"No, I just got here too." She replied, waving her hands to emphasize that everything was fine. "Shall we?" She said, positioning herself next to Keith so they could start walking.
-
This was harder than it seemed for Eve. Being around Keith made her nervous, afraid she would do or say something stupid. Her hands sweated uncontrollably and she always tried to dry herself on her clothes when he wasn't looking.
Fortunately the environment chosen for the festival was cool and well ventilated, which lightened the atmosphere. The smell was also pleasant. And since Eve had taken her antiallergic there was no risk of sneezing at an inopportune moment.
"Look, here they also have Cosmos atrosanguineus! Their structure can reach a height of 40 to 70 cm. They do not generate seeds and need to be raised with the help of tissue culture or root division. That's why where they live is protected by law.
She moved closer to Keith to hear him better. There was nothing that made her happier than hearing him talk about plants. It seemed like he was going off into his own little world, talking all excited about curiosities she had never heard before, but it made her heart warm to hear him talk. There was no doubt that he loved what he did.
"Really? Wow, they really do smell like chocolate!" She moved closer to the red flowers, feeling their fragrance. "Do they taste like chocolate too?" She pondered, laughing a little at her own comment.
"I believe not, but trying is not impossible." Said Keith with a hand in front of his mouth covering his mouth a bit as Eve laughed, "Do you like chocolate?"
"Oh, I do. Very much actually. Ahh, just thinking about it I get mouthwatering ."
"Why don't we sit down a bit? We've been walking for a while now." Said Keith pointing to some covered benches where there were some people sitting around talking.
The sky was a beautiful shade of orange, indicating the end of the afternoon and the slow arrival of night.
"What did you think of the festival, Keith? Was it fun?" She could feel her cheeks warming up again as she stared him right in the eye. Wondering if she would ever get used to being so close to him.
"It was so much fun! It's the first time I've had the opportunity to come into contact with so many rare plants that I've never seen in person before," Keith said with a beautifully satisfied smile on his face, which changed to a slight frown along with a slight restlessness in his fingers that went unnoticed by Eve. "Thank you so much for asking me to come along today, Eve. It was one of the best days for me. It really has been a long time since I've had this much fun. I hope you had as much fun as I did and that I was of some help to your project. I know that sometimes I can get a little carried away when it comes to flowers... haha" he concluded a little nervously.
"Thank you for coming along with me! I don't know what I would have done without your help. I've been able to absorb a lot of interesting things about flowers and it will help me a lot in my work. Thank you very much indeed for today."
"What did you enjoy seeing most today?"
"Hmm, that's a tough one. Haha. There were so many plants that I've never seen before in person. But if I could only choose one, I would say lilies. They have been my favorite since I was little, so it was special to see them in person. They are even more beautiful up close.
Eve could have sworn she saw the exact moment when Keith's eyes light up like stars in the sky upon hearing her answer. Making her own heart skip a beat.
"Lilies are one of my favorites too!"
"Really?!"
"Yeah!"
"How did we spend the day at a flower festival and not know each other's favorites?"
The two fell into laughter. It was clear to see the moment when the atmosphere became lighter. But thanks to those moments and the opportunity to spend the day with each other. They could get to know each other a little better.
Expressing herself with words was never Eve's strong suit. She had always considered herself more the type who liked to observe people and just be a spectator than to have an effective conversation. She hoped that little by little she could change that about herself.
The fair was almost over. She wanted to give him something to end that day well. Something that could be memorable. That when he looked at it, he would remember this day with her. That's when she noticed the gift store with seedlings of several plants. This was the perfect gift.
"Look, Keith! Let's go over there!" She said, already running in the direction of the little shop.
"Hi, I hope you enjoyed the festival," said a little lady who looked to be in her sixties. "Here in our store we have seedlings of various plants as a form of gift giving. Flowers are like eternal partners, storing precious and joyful moments, using that joy as a source of energy. As a kind of souvenir. Said the shop assistant, pointing to her side, where there were a few seedlings left on offer "Since the festival is almost over, I can give a discount to the young couple."
"A-ah, we're not-" How many more times could Eve's cheeks take the redness? She thought.
"Come on, don't be shy! From afar I could observe that you make a beautiful couple together! We have these options still available. I'm sure they will be to your liking."
"S-so, would you have any lily seedlings left?"
"Ahh, unfortunately no," she spoke with an apologetic tone. "They were the most requested and ran out early. But we still have those beautiful tulips available."
"Hmm, that being the case," she pondered for a moment, trying to remember the things Keith had explained to her about the meanings of tulips. "I'll have those red tulips, please."
"Here, young lady. May these tulips pass on your feelings to your beloved."
"T-Thank you." She paid for the two seedlings, placed in vases, and approached Keith.
"Ah, I wanted to pay for them." He said, seeing the two plant seedlings in Eve's hands.
"No! You already paid for our lunch, even though I insisted on helping. Now it's my turn to pay you back," she said, taking a deep breath before continuing. "Well, I really wanted to give you lilies but since they were no longer available, I hope you'll accept these tulips. As a gift from today. That way we can share something together, what do you think?"
"B-but Eve, those... I mean, are you sure?"
Agreed Eve, nodding her head positively.
"I know we may not be close enough to be considered friends, but I'd like to go through that stage and get to know you better. I mean, if you want too of course." I said, glancing over from the corner of my eye to check Keith's reaction.
"Eve...do you think the meaning of the red tulip is that of friendship?"
"Huh, Isn't that right?"
Keith couldn't hold it in and began to laugh at the situation.  To the others it might not have been such a funny thing, but the moment Eve offered him the red tulips, he felt his heart race faster and almost had a meltdown.
"I think you got a little confused," he tried to calm his breathing to stop laughing and continue explaining. "Yellow tulips mean cheerful thoughts, red ones, well..." he hesitated a bit before moving closer to Eve's ear so that only she could hear. "It has a more romantic meaning, they represent 'true and everlasting love' ' He pulled away, covering the smile that settled on his lips lightly with his hand. "Shall we walk? I'll drop you off at your front door."
She was too embarrassed to verbalize anything, so she just nodded her head low. Following along the path back to her house, they continued talking about how the day went and the fun things they did and saw, with Keith still joking a bit with Eve about the tulip event. She didn't like being picked on, but if it was Keith, she didn't mind a bit.
"We're here." He said, stopping in front of the doorway of her apartment. "Thanks so much for today. I really had a great time today. "
"I had a great time too. Thanks again for accepting my invitation." I said, hesitating a bit before continuing. "...Keith?"
"Yes?"
"I know I ended up confusing the meanings, but they still represent how I feel," Eve confessed with her head bowed. "I hope we can go out and get to know each other better, but I know how I feel about you is a stronger feeling than just friendship, so...would you like to go out with me another day? Like a date?"
Eve felt her hands sweat more than they should. Looking forward to Keith's answer.
"So... today wasn't a date?"
!!!!
This caught her so off guard that she raised her head in surprise. Did he consider today a date? Would he like to have been one? As if he could read Eve's thoughts at that moment, a light laugh echoed off Keith's lips before he continued. "I'd love to. My turn to pick a place. What do you think?"
"Y-yes! That would be great." She readily agreed, fiddling lightly with her dress. "We'll be in touch then? When your cell phone is fixed, can you give me your number?"
Keith stirred a bit, looking like he wanted to say something, but in the end he just said with a slight smile on his face, "Sure, see you later." He said goodbye with a nod.
Eve waved back, watching Keith's figure grow more and more distant.
When she could no longer see him from afar, she headed for the entrance to her apartment. Until she felt her cell phone vibrating in her purse. A message.
"What's up, Eve? Are you free today? Can we play together today?"
A smile formed on Eve's lips. It wasn't too hard to tell who sent the messages. It was Tenebris. Just imagining that he actually remembered that... Eve could only think that he got even cuter as the days went by.
Just as she was about to answer, her cell phone screen changed to an attempted call from her superior at work. A sigh already escaped her lips as she realized that this call would not be quick or easy to handle. She didn't want to answer at that moment, but she knew that not answering would only make things worse. So she headed to a darker, more private corner, mentally preparing herself for what was to come.
-
"Do you have a problem? Is there nothing going on in that hollow little head of yours but wind? Seriously, I've had enough of this. Don't you think? Use your head for something! Get out of your world and pay more attention to the things around you.”
"I-I didn't know. I-"
"That's exactly what I'm talking about! Ask next time. Those tickets were for you and me! You're such a fool, aren't you?"
"B-but they didn't tell me, and you-you'd already gone home-"
"Are you going to try to use that lame excuse now? Seriously, you're impossible. You know what? Forget it." The call ended brutally.
It had been over 20 minutes since the extremely uncomfortable conversation had lasted. Eve had avoided prolonging the torture as much as possible, just hoping it would be over soon.
She couldn't express her feelings well or verbalize her thoughts, and as a result she was at the mercy of other people's cruelty.
A small feeling of relief formed the moment the call ended. The tears finally falling rolled freely down her face in a silent way.
Stupid. Idiotic. Dumb. She kept repeating in her head, belittling herself. Motionless for a few moments to pull herself together, or at least to try.
Wiping away the tears, she slowly went to the grocery store to get something to relieve the pain and emptiness she now felt in her chest. She was sad and hungry, she needed to eat something before going back to her bubble of sadness.
With the automatic door giving her access and with a somewhat apathetic appearance, she picked up a small basket, placing sweets like chocolate bars and snacks. All in the automatic mode. It didn't seem fair. Why did things like this have to happen so soon after such a good and fun day? Was she not allowed to have a normal day and be happy for a while? Maybe it's true, she thought. Maybe she was a fool who lived in the world of the moon. Acceptance slowly taking over her body. Maybe that was the kind of treatment she deserves.
Paying for the things she bought and leaving the store still disconnected from the rest of the world, just wanting to get home soon. Until she felt someone's hand hold hers tightly from behind.
"Hey, lady," a man she had never seen before held her tightly by the hand, preventing her from letting go. "You dropped this in the back, I came to give it back to you."
It was the keychain from her purse. The chain was a little frayed and slack, so it must have fallen off without her noticing.
"Oh... thank you." She said, taking back her keychain and trying to let go of his hand, but he wouldn't let go at all, feeling the grip getting stronger she tried unsuccessfully to pull away. "I'm going to go now, then-"
"You're very pretty... and you smell very nice too. Don't you want to keep me company? We can do something together... shall we go to my place?" He said, moving closer.
Eve could smell the strong odor of alcohol coming from him. It had to be. Just when she thought this one couldn't take a worse ending, it happened. She hated with all her might people who drank beyond their account, losing their ability to reason.
"No, I need to go." He tried to pull on her arm. "Let go of me please."
"Come on, I promise you it will be fun. Just the two of us. Just the two of us. I bet you don't have anything more interesting to do anyway..."
"No, let me go." He looked around for help, but the street was deserted. There was no one around. He tried desperately to let go of her hand, but even drunk he was still stronger than she was. Maybe if she screamed for help...
"Get your fucking hands off her, you shit."
She froze in place, her feet frozen on the ground as she noticed the figure of someone say before knocking out the drunk who was pestering her, knocking him to the ground. It was very dark, you couldn't see the person properly by the low lighting.
"You're nothing but a little shit." She watched this someone, grab the fallen drunk by the collar to land another punch. Before dropping him to the ground and turning toward her. That was the snap she needed to snap back to reality. With adrenaline surging through her body, Eve began to run as fast as she could. All she wanted was to get away from this situation. Really, how unlucky was she to have to deal with all of this in a single day? As she ran she grabbed the cell phone from her purse and tried to call someone.
She needed help. Someone. Anyone. She didn't want to and knew that she couldn't deal with the situation alone. She clicked on the first number that appeared in her call history. Not paying attention to the path she was running, she ran into a dead end. That's when her legs gave way and she fell to the ground. She was exhausted. She didn't have the strength at the moment to get up. She could only feel the beats of her own heart and her cell phone.
Until her heard the sound of another cell phone ringing in front of you. And so did the quick footsteps of someone getting closer and closer. As the figure got closer and closer, she could recognize that it was the same person as just now, who knocked out that drunk. When he finally stopped in front of her, she could better notice his face. He had blotches of purple mixed on his face and body. He was also wearing a purple shirt, but in a shade that he noticed was darker. She also wore a necklace that Eve swore she had seen before...! But it was when the person finally answered the ringing cell phone that the situation changed course.
"Eve...!"
She couldn't quite understand. This person was wearing the clothes of Tenebris, but the face resembled another. But how? Could it be a coincidence? Her eyes could be deceiving her. Looking at her screen display, she realized that she had tried to call Tenebris, so why? Why had he answered? He couldn't think clearly what had just happened. How was this possible? What was this? Why did he also resemble Keith?
"I'm sorry about that! I-I didn't mean to scare you! I was concerned since it had been a while since you had answered my messages. That's when I saw that piece of garbage bothering you...and I just lost my mind. I'm sorry." He said, kneeling in front of her.
When she tried to say something, the figure that looked like Tenebris but with some of Keith's features began to cringe pulling at her own hair as she took steps backwards. "No, not now!" was the last thing she heard him say before he stirred more and more. Until it completely took on the form of someone she dared to say she knew well. For there was no mistaking this face she thought of whenever she could.
"Eve... I-I can explain! I know this is super weird and confusing, but if you give me a chance, I promise I'll explain everything to you...!" Pleaded Keith, slowly approaching her, with light steps so as not to startle her even more. Stopping at a distance that allowed a good view of her face. It really was him. There was no doubt about it. But this just happened... one moment it was Tenebris, and now it was totally Keith in front of her, as if they were two people in one body. All she wanted was to wake up from this crazy dream.
Eve lifted her head to get a good look at him. Her thoughts were conflicting in her mind. She wasn't sure how to process it all, but she could see the anxiety and sense of desperation in Keith's eyes. He seemed to really want to explain himself. And that was all she wanted most at that moment.
"A-all right," she said, her voice faltering a little and regaining the strength to stand up. There was no point in staying there on the floor confused about it. She needed clarification. With a sigh, she sought the strength to continue saying. "Shall we go upstairs? We'd better talk somewhere more private and quiet." She suggested, pointing to her apartment building which she could recognize now that she was a little calmer.
"C-Couse! Yes we will..." Keith was quick to respond, but hesitated a bit before following her. He stayed the whole way to Eve's apartment in silence, his head down, already thinking about the worst of the situation.
He sat down when she offered him a chair, sitting next to each other, face to face. Offering a cup of tea beforehand, to further calm his nerves before they talked.
"About what happened now... what was that about?" Eve began, a little afraid still. "... Do you know Tenebris? He... and you..." She couldn't continue the rest of the sentence.
"I'm really sorry I kept it from you Eve..." she listened intently to what Keith had to say. "I didn't mean for things to have happened like that, I just...! I was scared. Really afraid. That you would freak out and end up walking away from me... from us! I've been with him since I can remember, it's something that no one can explain, we also have no idea how or why we both share the same body. And after a long time, we end up just accepting it. Trying to deal with this situation the best way we could, but it's really not easy. For neither of us. Everybody that we know, people that I used to live with, my friends... everybody has moved away, avoided us. I can't blame them. When I met you, I was very afraid. That you would also run away the moment you knew our truth, what we are. I am sorry. But please! I promise you that-"
"Is that why you didn't give me your phone? You said it was in repair." She interrupted him unintentionally, but she needed to know.
"A-ah, that..." she scratched her head lightly before continuing. "My cell phone was really broken, Tenebris gets a little carried away sometimes. Except that you already had the number the moment you gave yours to Tenebris that day. I assumed that you would find it odd, to say the least, to try to text me and have him answer."
"Ahh, true..." she rolled over in her chair a little. It was the first time Eve had seen Keith wearing more punk styled clothes, so it was a little strange for her to see Keith wearing Tenebris' clothes, but not in a bad way. "Hmm, I'm not going to lie, this is all kind of weird. A lot actually...but that's all it is to me. Now that the adrenaline has passed and I can think better, I can no longer be surprised and scared of you two. I even apologize if my reaction was over the top, it probably must have hurt you."
"Huh?"
"I mean," she tried to explain herself better. "Yeah, this whole stuff about you guys being connected like that, it's unusual, but you guys have never done anything to hurt me or anything like that. You've always been kind to me, and I like you both. Very much, actually. I was surprised that this was the first time I saw something like this, but I wasn't afraid. I don't see any reason to stay away from you. I understand how it hurts when people pull away without warning or lose interest in you..."
"I-I, I mean... really? Are you sure about that?"
"Uhum." He agreed, nodding positively.
Keith still couldn't believe it. Much less Tenebris. It was just too surreal. To meet a person who for the first time was not afraid of Tenebris or repulsed by them. Eve could tell he still had his doubts about it, so she held out her pinky to Keith.
"How about this? I promise that no matter what happens, I won't abandon you or walk away without saying anything to you, pinky-finger promise-... Oh, right!" She lifted her other hand raising her other pinky together. "Okay, now yes, pinky promise. I promise you both."
That was the final straw for both of them. It felt like it was all a dream, and that at any moment they might wake up in their house, as if nothing that happened now was real. It was too good for both of them to be considered true.  With this small gesture, Eve unintentionally made them both take over the body at the same time, but only for a short time. Wiping away the tear that was falling from her eyes, they raised their hands so that they could both intertwine their pinkies with hers.
"Do you promise?"
"Uhum! I promise!"

Ahn Seongmin x Idol!Male Reader
“You deserve a break, don’t you think?” Seongmin had such a way with words—or rather that was simply the effect that he had on you. You knew it wasn’t much of a question, more of a demand even as he batted his long eyelashes at you. “Come with us. The company won’t see anything wrong with it, they’ll think we’re mentoring you as your seniors or something.”
You nodded along to his words—to which he took as you agreeing to go on this vacation with him and his members.
There was no backing out of this now.
The first few days were spent doing bonding exercises with everyone. You found that you got along well with Serim. Almost as if he took you under his wing—giving you words of encouragement and advice as you had recently started your solo career.
That’s how you found yourself sitting beside him on the lounge chairs that sat next to the clear pool. The two of you much more relaxed in matching sunglasses and hats. You grabbed the sunscreen from the small table in between the chairs—rubbing it into your skin as you watched Seongmin from the corner of your eye. He struggled to get on the pink popsicle floatie they kept next to the edge of the pool, blowing the hair out of his eyes out of frustration.
He tried one more time before catching your eyes. Even behind the dark sunglasses, he could tell you were watching him intently.
“(Y/n/n). You’ve been watching me for five minutes but you haven’t offered to help?” Seongmin stomped over to you, crossing his arms over his chest as he pouted. You struggled with an answer, sliding your sunglasses off and placing them on top of your hat. “Can you help me please?” With a goodbye towards Serim you practically hopped off of the chair, bare feet sliding across the concrete as you followed your boyfriend.
“Minnie.” Seongmin turned towards you, the sun hitting his face perfectly—accentuating his brown eyes and beauty marks. You held your composure, offering a fond smile. “How can you not get on it? It looks so simple.”
You reached the edge of the pool, kicking the floatie a little further into the pool to tease him.
“Why don’t you get on it then?” You stop in your tracks, opting to play with a strand of (h/c) hair instead of answering Seongmin. “(Y/n)?”
“I never learned how to swim.” You expected him to make fun of you, let out a small giggle even. Instead he bent down to make eye contact with your (e/c) eyes, scrunching his nose as he stared. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“We’ve been dating for so long… why am I just now learning about this?”
And that’s how you ended up in the middle of the pool—floating on your back as Woobin held you up with his arms. Seongmin was standing immediately beside you, instructing you on how to move your feet so you gathered more momentum. Internally you were freaking out, screwing your eyes tight so you wouldn’t have to face the sun directly in your eyes.
“Relax. I have you. If anything happens I won’t let you drown—but remember we’re standing in the four feet section so you could just stand.” You open an eye to glare at Seongmin, moving your arm to splash water towards him. He giggles, splashing water back towards you.

Word Count : 4215
“I like you.” I told him quickly, scared to look up from my hands that were in my lap. After a minute of silence, I braved a glance up and met his eyes. He smiled at me, and something in my heart knew.
           “That was my line.” He joked. We shared a small laugh. I couldn’t help but feel like I was on cloud 9.
           I sat at the same table from my memory, looking at a man that wasn’t him. He wore a similar outfit, per my request, and I wore the exact clothes I wore that day. “I like you.” I said confidently, not looking down this time.
           “That was my line.” He chuckled, reaching across the table to take my hand in his. “I brought you here to confess.” I giggled and smiled widely at him.
           “Cut! Absolute perfection. This music video is going to be a hit, I can feel it.” Ahn Jae Hyun and I both stood from our seats and bowed to those working hard to make my dream come true. I then turned to him and thanked him.
           “I really appreciate you being in this video.”
           “Of course. Anything for a friend. You’ve worked really hard, should we grab something to eat before going home tonight?” I nodded and linked my arm with his as we left the café. “I’ve never seen you be such a stickler for your videos.” He joked as we walked towards the restaurant down the block from where we were.
           “This one is special to me. It’s basically reliving my favourite moments with my first love.” I admitted. Jae Hyun and I rarely kept secrets from each other since we met filming a drama together a couple years ago.
           “Ah! You’ve told me about him before. Was he more handsome than me?” He said with a chuckle. I playfully hit him in the arm as I laughed.
           “No one is more handsome than you.” I told him, leaning closer to him as we walked. I’ve always been comfortable around Jae Hyun, ever since the day we met. I remember him asking me on a date soon after filming had ended, but I was engaged at the time. “Do you ever think about where we would be if I was single when you asked me out?” I pulled away slightly and looked up at him, my arms still wrapped around his. He stopped walking and looked at me with a smile.
           “I think we’d be just like this, but this would be a date.” I scoffed and playfully hit his arm again. “I’m serious, Y/N. You’re a special girl. That ex of yours is a real idiot.” Blush rose to my cheeks when he said that.
           “Ask me again, Jae Hyun.” He furrowed his brows at me before putting it together.
           “Are you sure, Y/N?” I nodded with a smile. “Okay. Well then, Y/N, would you like to go on a date with me?” Again I nodded and the two of us began walking again.
           I was preparing dinner for the two of us when I felt his arms wrap around me. “To what do I owe this beautiful surprise?” He kissed my cheek.
           “I just wanted to cook dinner for my handsome boyfriend.” He unwrapped his arms from around me and turned me around to face him. “What?”
           “I love you, Kim Y/N.” I scoffed but I couldn’t stop the blush from forming. “I’ll only ever love you, for the rest of my life.” I could see in his eyes that he was completely serious.
           “Good! Because I’ll only ever love you.”
            Jae Hyun wrapped his arms around me and placed a kiss on my cheek. “To what do I owe this beautiful surprise.” I giggled as I continued cutting the vegetables.
           “I just wanted to cook dinner for my handsome boyfriend.” He turned me to face him and when I met his eyes, my heart broke a little bit. My smile didn’t faulter though as he confessed his love for me. “Good, because I’ll only ever love you.” We shared a quick kiss before the director called cut. “Is it weird to relive my memories with my ex as my current boyfriend?” I asked with a small pout.
           “It is a little weird, but in the end he lost you and I got you. So I’m happy doing this for you.” I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down for a kiss.
           “I must have saved a country in a past life.” He chuckled and kissed me again.
           I slowly walked up the path lit with candles to see him kneeling on one knee with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. Tears immediately sprung to my eyes as I stood in front of him. “I really meant it when I said I’d only love you for the rest of my life. Since the day I met you I knew in my heart you were my forever. I love you so much, Kim Y/N. Will you marry me?” He handed me the flowers as he pulled a velvet box from his pocket. When he opened it and I saw the heart shaped diamond, I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing.
           “Yes, of course.” He slid the ring on my finger as he stood and brought me in for a kiss. “I love you.”
           I looked in awe at the set that was decorated to perfection, exactly the way it was decorated the day he proposed to me. Jae Hyun draped his arm across my shoulders, causing me to look away from the set and up at him. “Are you sure you can do this?” He asked, a look of concern in his eyes. I gave him a soft smile as I nodded.
           “One more scene and we can stop living in my memories and make new ones.” I told him. He quickly kissed me.
           “I already know where to start.” Before I could ask him to elaborate, the director called us to set. This was the scene I was the most nervous about. I still had the exact ring from that day and told Jae Hyun to use it. I could already feel the pain in my heart at the idea of someone else proposing with the ring he did. When I decided to do this video, I hoped he would see it and the two of us would get back together. But the day before shooting began, one of his bandmates sent me pictures of him with Jennie. I decided then that this would be a way to move on.
           “You all worked hard!” I announced as I bowed to the crew who helped this come to life. “Thank you so much for all your hard work.” I bid my goodbyes and joined Jae Hyun’s side. “Did you want to stay tonight?” I asked as we got into his car.
           “Of course.” He smiled at me and took my hand in his as he began driving.
           “Thanks again for doing this. I don’t think I could have done it with anyone else.” He quickly smiled at me before looking back to the road. He then brought my hand to his lips and pressed a soft kiss to my hand.
         “Oppa!” I exclaimed and jumped into Seok Jin’s arms. He chuckled before telling me to take a seat. “Why are you so serious?” I asked while sitting across from him.
           “You know why, Kim Y/N.” He raised his voice. Something he’s never done to me, not even when we were kids. “That music video you just posted?” I let out a small chuckle.
           “The one with Ahn Jae Hyun?” He nodded. “Wasn’t it adorable?” I played dumb, even though I knew he knew what I was doing. My brother knows me better than anyone else.
           “I know those are moments you shared with Yoongi.” I gulped, trying to swallow the tears. I can’t even say his name without crying. “And you posted it on your anniversary?! And you won’t even answer his calls. You’re being ridiculous.” I scoffed.
           “I’m being ridiculous? Did you say that to him when he wouldn’t answer my calls after our fight?” He stayed silent because he knows I know he took Yoongi’s side. “I used my own memories to make a video so I could move on. Those memories were suffocating me, oppa. He broke my heart, and my own brother wasn’t even there to help put the pieces back together. He took everything from me, all I did was make a music video. No one even knows it’s about him.” Jin sat there silently, looking at me with a look of pity.
           “Could you just talk to him?”
           “You were out with him, weren’t you?” He yelled at me. Tears were streaming down my face. “I told you I didn’t like when you’re with him!”
           “I know, but it was a cast dinner. We weren’t alone! I couldn’t just not go.” I tried explaining, hoping he would calm down and we could sit and talk this through like we always do. “He asked me out a few weeks ago, but I told him I was engaged. He knows, Yoongi. And I don’t love him. I’ll only ever love you.” I reached out for him, but he ripped his arm from my grasp, causing me to fall down.
           “Don’t touch me. You’re nothing but a cheater.” He stormed out, ignoring me calling after him. I curled up on the floor and sobbed, hoping he would just come back. I called him multiple times over the next week, until Jin sent me pictures of Yoongi with Jennie. I just wished he would have talked to me.
           “He had that chance two years ago. I don’t want to talk to him.” I lied and stood up from the table. Jin grabbed my arm as I walked by him.
           “Please just see him once. He’s been going crazy ever since the video came out.” I let out a small laugh.
           “Good. I hope he feels guilty. I hope you do too.” He released me after that, and I left the café. I was able to hold in my tears until I got in my car. I let out my sobs, hoping the pain in my heart that he left would soon be gone.
           I don’t know why I agreed to this. Besides Yoongi, Jennie was the last person I wanted to see. I considered her a good friend of mine, someone I opened up to about my relationship with Yoongi. I poured my heart out to her and told her how I just wished him, and I could go public with our relationship before the wedding, but we had agreed to keep it private. She helped me write the song I wanted to release as a way to subtly tell the fans we were together. A love song called Suga Sweet. The same love song I’ve now released under the name Our Love.
           “Y/N.” She said as she sat down. “I just want to start with I’m so sorry. He had told me things were over, that you moved on with a co-star.” I scoffed.
           “I guess in his eyes our relationship was over. Regardless of that fact though, you were my best friend. I trusted you and loved you like a sister, and you still dated my first love.” I admitted to her. “Ahn Jae Hyun and I didn’t start dating until recently. A part of me always hoped Yoongi and I would get back together.” She reached across to grab my hands, but I pulled them away and sat them in my lap.
           “I’m so sorry, Y/N. I didn’t think it would bother you this much.” I laughed at that statement.
           “It’s too late for that now, Jennie. I hope you two are happy together.” I stood and began to walk away.
           “He’s still in love with you!” She called after me, causing me to stop in my tracks. “He meant it when he said he would only love you. He could never love me.”
           “That’s karma for you.” Was all I said before walking away. I turned right when I exited the café, bumping into someone as I did. The smell of his cologne wafted up my nose and I could feel the tears prick my eyes. I really didn’t want to confirm it was him, but I had to. When my eyes met his, I quickly looked away, wiping the tear that fell.
           “Y/N.” He whispered and reached out for me. I stepped back from him. He dropped his hand back to his side. “I’ve been calling.”
           “How the tables have turned.” I chuckled, not daring to meet his eyes. As much as I want to hate him, I know I can’t. He will always be my one weakness.
           “I should have come back that night. I should have believed you.” I took a chance and met his eyes once more.
           “Too little too late, Min Yoongi.” I tried to walk past him, but he grabbed my wrist.
           “Please talk to me.” I looked at his hand wrapped around my wrist and then back up at his eyes. “I want to apologize. I want to tell you how beautiful that video is. How beautiful that song is. Jennie told me it was for me. For us.”
           “Y/N!” I looked towards the sound of my name and saw Jae Hyun getting out of his car. He had promised to pick me up after my meeting with Jennie and take me out to forget everything. I felt Yoongi’s grip loosen and took that as my chance to rip my arm away from him.
           “Jae Hyun, I was wondering where you were.” I smiled and walked towards his car, leaving Yoongi to watch me walk away this time.
 “Who was that? I thought you were meeting with Jennie?” I looked straight ahead, trying to calm the beating of my heart. I always imagined what it would be like to run into him again. All the things I would say to him to convince him he was the only one for me. I always imagined us getting back together, us getting married. I’ve never pictured anyone else at the end of the aisle since the day we met.
           “Min Yoongi. My ex-fiancé.” I chanced a look over to Jae Hyun to see he was looking over at me before focusing on the road again.
           “You mean to tell me this famous ex of yours, the guy who thought you were cheating on him with me, the guy you lived all those memories we just filmed with, the guy who walked away from the most beautiful woman alive, is THE Min Yoongi. Mister Agust D. Suga.” He kept glancing between the road and me.
           “The one and only.” I giggled, hiding the fact that all I wanted to do was run back to him and tell him that I still love him.
           “Never pegged him as an idiot.” Jae Hyun joked, causing me to laugh. “I have a question though.” I looked up at him, telling him to ask away. “Isn’t your brother in the same band as him? Have you really not run into him until now?” I looked down to my hands, not really wanting to answer the question, but I know I can trust Jae Hyun. He was there when my own brother wasn’t.
           “He’s actually my half brother. Our dad cheated on his mom with my mom. Jin has blamed my mom for their rocky relationship ever since, even though he told her he was single. Him and I used to get along when we were younger, but as we got older, he always figured I’d be like my mom. So when Yoongi went and told them I was cheating on him, Jin took his side immediately, no questions asked. He abandoned me in favor for Yoongi.” Jae Hyun reached across and took my hand in his, running his thumb over my knuckles in a soothing way. “I still love him though. That’s my oppa.” I smiled. “I just wished he saw me as his sister.”
           I spent the rest of the day with Jae Hyun before he had to head home to go to bed early. He told me he was starting a new drama tomorrow. And as I laid alone in my bed, my phone buzzing with texts and phone calls, I knew what I needed to do. I texted Yoongi to meet me at our café in 20 minutes, any later than that and I was leaving.
           I quickly touched up my hair and makeup and swung my purse over my shoulder before heading out, my heart threatening to pound right out of my chest. I hoped he would be late so I could leave and convince myself he never cared, but he was there at our table before I arrived, two drinks on the table.
           He stood to greet me when he saw me walking his way. “I got your favourite.” I smiled as we took our seats. It was like I was transported to two years ago before the breakup, sitting here across from him like everything was okay.
           “I’m going to say everything I have to say, and you’re going to sit and listen until I’m done.” Yoongi nodded, urging me to say everything. “I waited for you. I waited everyday for a text, or a call, or even for you to just show up at my house. I didn’t even want you to apologize, I just wanted you back. I called everyday for a week before seeing that you were going out with Jennie. I took that as my hint that we were over.” I took a minute to take a drink and collect my thoughts. “No official breakup, not even a text. It took me a long time to get back into the groove of writing songs and acting. I took a long break. Jae Hyun was the only person I had then, so he was the obvious choice when I came up with the concept for my comeback music video.” I took another break, willing the tears not to fall.
           There were so many things I wanted to tell him. I wanted to tell him all the nights I couldn’t sleep. The amount of alcohol I drank wishing to forget the years we spent together. How many tears I cried; how broken I was. How badly I wished I could just see him again. “I had hoped this music video would show you how much I loved you, how I could only ever love you. I hoped it would make you realize that we were forever. But the day before filming began, Namjoon sent me pictures of you with Jennie. I don’t know why, but he did. So instead I used this as a way to get the memories out and move on. Jae Hyun asked me out after the first day of filming.” I admitted and watched as his face fell.
           I wanted to tell him how I wished it was him the entire time. Every time I met Jae Hyun’s eyes, I wished they were his. I wished I was kissing him. I wished he was the one holding me. Even now, a month after the fact. Jae Hyun was a great guy, but he wasn’t Yoongi.
           “You used the real ring I proposed with.” He said after some silence. I nodded. “Where is it now?” I hated the fact that it was in my purse. I hated the fact that I didn’t like to be without it. I hated the fact that I still wore it from time to time.
           “I sold it after the video.” So I lied. I hated it so much I lied. “I thought about selling it for a while, but our love was priceless to me. But after seeing you get back together with Jennie; it didn’t feel priceless anymore.” I kept lying through my teeth. I held back the tears and lied to the only man I’ll ever love. “4,429,622 won. That’s how much our love costs.” I watched as a tear fell down his cheek.
           “Was Jennie telling me the truth when she said that song was written for me?” I nodded.
           “She helped me write it. It was going to be the song I used to tell the fans about us. I was hoping we could make a video together. Maybe of our wedding. It was originally called Suga Sweet.” He closed his eyes, obviously trying to hold back the sobs he wanted to release. “She was my best friend. She knew exactly how I felt about you and she still betrayed me. Yet, I never hated you two. I wanted you to come back to me, and I wanted my friendship with her back. But Ahn Jae Hyun is a really great guy and I’m finally happy again.” He nodded.
           “I meant it you know. I’ll only ever love you.” It was my turn to blink back tears.
           “You should have thought of that before you walked away.” I stood from the table. “I hope everything has been said so you can stop calling me.” And I walked away from the love of my life once again.
           “How was filming?” I asked Jae Hyun as he laid his head in my lap. It’s been a week since I saw Yoongi, since I decided that I need to give my all to my relationship with Jae Hyun.
           “You know, same old same old.” But it seems as if he’s grown distant with me. I pretend that I don’t notice as I run my fingers through his hair and watch as he falls asleep. I understand that filming takes a lot out of a person. I also understand how much effort he puts in to being the best. But I also know the kind of guy he is. A player type. He can fall out of love just as fast as he can fall in love.
           Him and Yoongi were so different. From their personalities to the way they carry themselves. Every detail of them is so different. I found myself comparing Jae Hyun to Yoongi every single day, and I found myself falling out of love with him, just as he was doing with me.
           “Should we breakup?” I asked when he woke up. He sat up and stared at me, but I was staring straight ahead. I know he knows this is what’s best. “I don’t have feelings for you anymore.”
           “Yeah, I don’t have any for you anymore too.” I knew but it still hurt hearing him say it. “I don’t want you to leave though.” I laughed.
           “You’re my best friend, Jae Hyun. That’s not going to change.” I looked over at him and he was wearing his award-winning smile.
           “I think you should get back together with Yoongi.” I looked down to my hands that were on my lap. I won’t lie, since I saw him last week, I’ve been thinking about it. What’s the point in dating anyone else when I know I’ll just compare them to Yoongi anyway. “You’ll never stop loving him, so just love him.”
           “You’re a wise man.” I laughed. “But a relationship is two people.” He lightly hit my head.
           “That man loves you, regardless of what happened two years ago. You two belong together and that’s on soulmates.” I rolled my eyes before telling him to get out. “Call him, stupid!” He called after me as I pushed him out of my house and closed to the door. And that’s exactly what I was going to do.
           I didn’t expect him to pick up. I expected things to be like they were two years ago. But he answered almost immediately, like he had been waiting for my call since last week. “Y/N.” He said into the phone.
           “Come over. We need to talk.” It was like he teleported to my house with how fast he was ringing my doorbell. He stood at the door dressed in sweatpants and a t-shirt with his hair an absolute mess. But to me he was the most handsome guy to walk this planet. All the words I wanted to say left my brain when I wrapped my arms around him and nuzzled my head into his neck. “I tried not to love you, but I can’t.” I whispered. And he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me tightly into his chest.
           “You’ve always been the only one for me. I’m sorry I didn’t realize that sooner.” I pulled away from him and shook my head.
           “You’re here now.” He nodded, telling me he was never leaving again. We eventually moved to my couch where I reached for my purse, took the ring out and placed it on the table in front of us. He looked at it and then at me. “I never sold it. I tried. But our love has always been priceless.” He reached for the ring and grabbed my hand before sliding the ring on my finger.
           “This is forever the place it belongs.”

The cloudy sky covered the whole campus, not letting any sunshine ray pass through, nonetheless the students were happy, since it was Friday, which meant there were few hours left to go home. Going to parties was an option, but most of them just wanted to crash onto bed after a long week of exams.
One of them was not tired at all though. For the people around, the tall boy running to a certain group of friends was the embodiment of happiness and sun, always smiling, laughing and spreading positivity even if he himself was not feeling that positive. If the last case was true, everybody around him tried to cheer him up, what was truly beautiful to see.
Anyway, the sunny boy was running towards her and, at one moment, she was talking to some friends about the last exam they all had, and, at the other, she almost fell due to large arms wrapping around her waist and a body shocking with her back.
The girl wished she had time to scold him — she just knew it was him —, but he did not even let her talk and exclaimed he had gotten a B+ on the test the girl had helped him study for while shoving said test on her face.
— That's amazing, Yunnie. Congratulations!
— Seventy per cent of the credit are yours, babe, you helped me a lot!
— But you did the test, dork, you deserve it.
She smiled at his animation while he was lost in her eyes.
— What would I do without you? — he whispered before asking if she could go home already.
— Ahn, yeah, but let me say bye. — She pointed behind your shoulder.
— Oh, of course, I'm sorry for interrupting you guys!
"That's okay" was the unanimous answer coming from her classmates, because they loved Yunho and how they made a super cute couple.
After the girl said her goodbyes, Yunho took her hand in his and started walking towards her room. The silence was comfortable, their hands swung in the air and they unconsciously matched their steps, but he broke the silence by announcing:
— So, on Sunday is my cousin's fifth birthday and he wants you to come.
— Does he?
— Yes! He loves you. The theme of the party will be Spider-Man, there will be lots of candy and kids, since he invited his little friends. You know, it's a kid's birthday. Would you like to go? Starts at 10am.
— I would love to go, Yunnie, but I need to look for a gift tomorrow. What do you think he would like to get?
— I can think of some things.
— But, next time, can you invite me earlier?
He smiled apologetically.
— Oh, you will have fun at a Spider-Man party. — She laughed.
— Of course I will! I love him!
Tumblr media
On Sunday, the day was definitively sunny. The party was taking place at the little boy's house and there were probably seven other kids talking to him. When the girl arrived, the boy came running and hugged her legs. They didn't meet often, but when they did, they, along with Yunho, used to always play together or go out to buy ice cream, so he was pretty attached to his cousin's girlfriend.
— Happy birthday, big boy! Can't believe you're already five! — The girl crouched down to reach the boy's height.
— I know! Yunho hyung said that's a full hand. — He extended his tiny open hand to her to see his tiny five fingers.
— True! It's a full hand. — She took his hand on hers, pulling his fingers lightly and making him giggle. — I left your gift on the gift box, so when you get it, let me know if you liked it, okay? — He nodded excitedly. — Now, where's your hyung?
He pointed behind her back and when she glanced back, she saw a Spider-Man cosplay hanging head down on a bar. Her mind wanted to deny that, no, that was not Yunho, but when the superhero did his famous pose, stretched arm with middle and ring fingers touching the palm, she knew there was no way it was not him.
Getting up and walking to the man, she couldn't fight the smile that spreaded on her lips, but she still crossed her arms and shifted her weight to one leg.
— What do you think you are doing, Jeong Yunho?
— Jeong Yunho who? I'm Spider-Man, can't you see? — His voice was muffled because of the mask and there were kids shouting in the background, but she could understand him.
She looked from his long legs curled on the bar to his head right in front of her face, taking in his perfectly made red and blue costume. It fitted him so well.
— I can totally see that… I didn't know you owned a Spider-Man suit.
— I bought it last week. Did you like?
— A lot. You're handsome, even more as a hero. But… isn't this position uncomfortable?
— I'm okay and… you know… what about an upside-down kiss? — The girl shook her head. — Don't I deserve it? Even after saving the city and coming to this little boy's birthday? I'm a kind spider, a kind hero, I should get a kiss from the lady.
She chuckled, shaking her head in disbelief before uncrossing her arms and gently pulling down his red mask. Just as his lips and nose were visible, she took a moment to appreciate his features, his perfectly shaped pink lips, that held an annoying smirk and to wipe that off, she rolled her eyes and brushed their lips together before taking his fully with hers. It was not bad, she must admit, but kissing Yunho was never bad, no matter what position, even on that new one. Their lips fit on a crazily perfect way and it could be better, but there were kids around, which was only reinforced by a a little girl shouting and pointing at the couple:
— Mommy! That girl is kissing Spider-Man!
— Well — the woman laughed —, then she must be Mary Jane.
Upon hearing that, the girl quickly ended the kiss and wiped her mouth, slapping Yunho's shoulder when he laughed at the situation.
— I hate you.
— Cut it out, you love me.

Imagine Eijirou Kirishima and Reader
Tumblr media
Before we begin I'd like to state that English is not my main language so, sometimes, things I write might seem a little off. But, I am doing my best.
I am not sure if in Japan they accept tips(I guess I have read somewhere it is kind of unpolite) but for this fic, let's bring it to the american context.
Context: you work at Fat Gum's favorite bakery. You have a quirk, but you have never developed it well because you have anxiety issues since you were little and never wanted to be a hero. You are used to seeing Fat Gum and Suneater at the bakery.
Fat Gum seems to like being attended by you because you always give him some extra sweet bread.
But when he sends Suneater to buy the food, it gets weird because both you and him are social disasters. You have lost count of how many times you've listened to him say "you too" when you say "enjoy your sweet bread".
...
It is about 3 o'clock, right about time Fat Gum or Suneater come to buy bread. It always makes you anxious. You keep looking at the door, trying to guess if it is the fine Fat Gum with his calming bad jokes and nice tips or his weird sidekick of weird energy and interaction.
You hear the bell ring at the door and turn to it, your chest almost bursting with anxiety. Then you see him: a red haired guy wearing the most appealing hero costume you've ever seen. You are used to getting nervous around people wearing revealing clothes.(wich is not unusual)
"Hey! I need to buy some sweet bread." He says giving you the sharpest teethed smile you've ever seen, and you are used to attending animal people.
"O...ok." you answer, not being able to avoid staring at those teeth.
"Ahn... so." He says.
"Yes?" you ask impulsively.
"The bread?" he looks at you with an worried expression.
"AH SURE!" You almost scream, back to reality. "How many will you want?"
"How many?" He scratches his head. "Damn it, I forgot to ask. Just a minute."
He runs off the store leaving you with the tongs and paper bag in hands. It takes a while before he comes back, but you get stuck in that position.
"So... forty, please. Fat Gum said: Stop loafing around and get the bread! Hahahahahaha!!" He starts laughing but you can see it is fake.
The guy slowly stops giggling and you can see his face becoming the same color as his hair.
"Aah... I guess my dough has sinked with this one." He says, scratching the back of his neck.
You can't even get yourself to force a laugh because seeing other people embarassed makes you nervous. You get the bread as fast as you can and handle it to him. Almost ten bags of bread.
"Wow. That is a loaf of bread!" he tries to make another pun and snaps his finger, blinking at you.
You stare at him almost without breathing. When Fat Gum makes these jokes he truly believes they are funny and his laugh makes you calm. But this guy seems to be doing this unwillingly, just like Suneater the first time he tried to buy bread(it was a disaster, both you and him almost passed out).
"He... here you go. Have a nice day. En... enjoy your bread." You stutter, bowing a little not only to say goodbye,but also to hide your face.
"You too."
You stare at each other, in shock. At this moment, Suneater always runs away as if his life depends on it, but this guy stays, looking deep at your eyes.
He sunddely starts laughing, this time, for real.
"Hahahahahaha!!! I am such an idiot. I am sorry. Here, nice work!" He hands you some extra money as a tip. "Hahahaha! You too. Wait for Denki to hear this."
As he goes away, you are feeling a little calmer. So... Fat Gum has a new sidekick now?!
Just to think about one more possibility of client for the 3 o'clock sweet bread batch you start to hiperventilate.
...
You arrive your apartment after a long day of work, put on some comfortable clothes and turn on the TV to listen while you are preparing some noodles for dinner.
"There has been a big increase of villain activity lately, seen All Might's recent retirement. We advise people to stay alert and communicate the authorities..." you run to change the channel.
You gasp for air, kneeled in front of the TV. You hate listening to anything related to heroes and villains, it brings you bad memories from when you were young. You can see yourself again, about eight years old, crying for help while a hero and a villain fight in front of you. This has traumatized you.
After a while, you get better, in the TV there is now a documentary about spring and flowers. This makes you calmer. They show a rose in the TV and you can't help but think about that guy who came to buy bread for Fat Gum. Red and sharp.
You laugh at the thought of it. A Red and sharp guy. What could his name be? Rose hero? You can't help but imagine his quirk being the ability of controlling roses, you can see him beating enemies by throwing sharp roses at them.
To think about that... that guy was pretty handsome.
...
3 o'clock. It is time for any of the three sweet bread buyers to come for the hot new batch. Would it be the funny Fat Gum? The anxious Suneater? Or the new supposed to be Rose hero?
The thougt of it starts giving you tachycardia. All you want is for it not to be weird.
The bell rings and there he is. The guy from yesterday with his too revealing costume and shark sharp smile.
"Hey! Some sweet bread, please!" He says as he stops in front of the display. "Forty loaves, please."
You let go a sigh of relief. No little jokes, no embarassment. Just a pretty normal client asking normally for an abnormal batch of sweet bread.
You hand him what he asked for and tell the price in a low voice.
"Ah! Fat Gum forgot to give me the money! Just a minute!" he says, and runs out of the store, leaving you with ten bags of bread in hands and a couple of costumers waiting to be attended next.
You can feel some cold sweat coming from your forehead while the impatient costumers stare at you, waiting for him to come back.
He rushes in, handing you the money with an unconfortable smile.
"I am very sorry..." he reads your name in your bage. "Y/n. Here it is."
"No problem." you stutter. "Ha... have a nice day."
"Ok! Good job!"
"You too."
You stare at each other realizing your mistake. He starts laughing.
"I guess our interactions are always going to be kind of weird,right?" he says, smiling at you with amusement. "I am Eijirou Kirishima. But my hero name is Red Riot. Nice to meet you, y/n."
"Ni...nice to..."
"Hey! Are you gonna buy something else or what?! There are more people in line!" The next costumer yells at him.
He straight up apologizes and goes away with the packs of bread, leaving you to a very stressed line of costumers to attend.
Every 3 o'clock, Red Riot is there with his sharp smile and cheerful personality. Everytime something goes wrong: he forgets the money, he asks you for the wrong quantity of bread and has to return to ask some more, out of anxiety you give him the incorrect change and has to chase after him to correct it, he pays you the wrong quantity, there is even a day he says "kisses, bye" as if he is endind a phone call and the worst thing is that you reply the same. He always laughs, but you feel like dying. Dealing with Suneater was better than this, even though it was bad, but now Red Riot was the only one to come.
Until this day. It is 3 o'clock, you are snapping your fingers anxiously, trying to prepare yourself for what is about to come. You hear the bell ring and turn to the door, but you find yourself facing a guy you've never seen before.
He is wearing an overcoat and sunglasses and starts wondering about the bakery without looking at you. Your manager is in the back and the other attendants are busy with clients, so you walk towards him to ask if he needs help.
"Excuse me." you say. "Can I help you with something?"
It happens fast. He grabs you by the wrist and then your neck, his other hand becomes a scissor and he puts it on your neck. Everyone screams in terror as all of his hair also become blades and threaten anyone who tries to escape.
"I will chopp your head off if you do anything funny!" he screams at you. "Now grab all the money from the register for me. If any of you move, everyone is going to die!"
He gives you a bag and takes you to the register. You feel dizzy and your eyes are blinded by tears. You try to remember the combination to open it up, but you are too nervous to remeber.
"Do it, right now!" he yells.
"I... I am sorry I don't... I can't..." you can feel the sharp razor against your skin.
"You useless prick!!" he yells and with one of the blades of his hair, he cuts the register open. "Now fill in the..."
You hear the bell of the door ringing and think that is it for you, someone is trying to escape. he is going to kill you. Then you see him,Red Riot, but the sharp teeth are now locked in an angry expression.
The villain attacks Red Riot with the blades on his hair, but they all break when they reach his skin. You see him becoming a rock made monster and coming towards you without hesitation.
He punches the villain away from you, he flies over the balcony, breaking an entire wall as he hits it. You fall on your knees and start crying.
"Hey!" you hear Red Riot's voice and feel his hands on your shoulder. "Are you ok? Did he hurt you?"
You shake your head negatively, but can't find strength to speak.
A bunch of scissors come towards you, but Red Riot defends you with his body. One of them scratches your cheek and you feel like you are about to pass out.
"Damn you, hero! I am gonna finish you!! You are gonna regret..."
The villain is captured by an octopus tentacle and pulled out of the store. You see him sink into Fat Gum's belly.
Everyonelse is cheering but you are about to colapse into a panic attack. That is when you feel a gentle hand huggin you over your shoulder and handing you a paper bag for you to breath into. It is Red Riot, he is smiling at you.
"It is ok now. You are safe, y/n"
Somehow, the sound of his voice calms you down.
...
After a tiring testimony for the pilice, you are free to go to your house. You see him first thing when you leave the station.
"Hey! Are you ok?" Red Riot asks you.
He is not wearing the mask or the soulder pads of his hero costume.
"I am now. Thank you for saving me." You say, bowing at him.
"It's ok! Hehe... it's my job to do it." He replies smiling at you, his face blushed. "So... do you want me to walk you home?"
You stare at him, not being able to chose what to reply.
"Actually, I have to do it. Fat Gum said so." He says. "So you don't have much of a choice."
You nod to him.
You walk in silence till you arrive your building.
"Thank you again for saving me." You say, bowing at him once more.
"Don't worry." He answers, bowing back at you. "It is my duty as a hero."
"You know, I don't like heroes a lot..." you say shrinking your shoulders and putting your head down. "I am afraid."
"Hãn? Afraid of heroes??"
"Ah!" You gasp, realizing you should not have said that. "Sorry, it was nothing. I... have to go now, I have classes in the morning."
"You are a student too?" He asks.
"Yeah... I work half time in the bakery... but I guess we won't be working for a while."
"Ah... right. Too bad, I will miss buying your bread. I got used to seeing you everyday."
You turn around to get into the building, but he holds you gently by the wirst.
"Can I have your number?" he asks.
You shriek in confusion and pull your wirst to yourself, taking some steps back. Red Riot jumps back, once your sudden reaction caught him off guard. You stare at each other, both as red as his hair.
"SORRY! SORRY! I shouldn't have..." he starts bowing at you in apologies. "It is just that Fat Gum talked so much about this! I think he ended up convincing me that... I am sorry, I am very sorry."
You shake your head and hands as a "no problem" sign, but he probably understands otherwise, once he starts to apologize even harder.
"If I give you my number, would you stop talking?!" You yell at him, taking your pen and notepad out of your uniform pocket.
You write it down as fast as you can and almost throws it at him, then, run to your appartament without even saying goodbye.
You slam the door behind you and lean against it, breathing heavily. You are a communication disaster...
You are tired, traumatized once again by villains and heroes.
Yet, you can't help but thinking about that sharp teethed smile. It makes you feel calm again.

Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3
~~~~~~~~~~
"But you never are free," Tae pouted clinging to me. For a guy taller than me, he sure clings like he is a lot shorter.
"Taehyung, let the poor man breath," a voice rang out from the corner of the room
The voice was the leader of BTS, Kim Namjoon.
I flashed him a quick smile as Tae unlatched himself from me. Jungkook finally noticed that I was there and stopped Jimin's music making Jimin give him a dirty look.
"Hyung, you got here quick," JK said quickly hugging me.
I physically facepalmed at the younger boy's statement.
"Jungkook, again," I said," I am a floor below you."
A sheepish smile came across his face. He looked at the older couple and saw they looked confuse about the other older male (me) that just entered the room and knew the maknae line.
"Hyungs, this is Ahn-hyung," Jungkook introduced as Jimin came and hugged me quickly." My hyung from all the way from Busan that I told you stories of. He is also old."
"Ya, I'm not old, you brat," I charged after the bunny boy. He giggled taking off around the room.
"Are they always like this," I heard Namjoon ask.
"Yeah, when he introduced me and Tae to him, he said the same thing," Jimin replied. "They ran around for ten minutes before Ahn-hyung caught him. Then Ahn-hyung told us that Kookie actually called him to help Tae with a part in the Singularity dance Tae was having problems with. He is pretty cool."
When I got close enough to Jungkook, I pounced on his back taking him to the floor. I sat on his back as the rest of the boys had a mix of reactions. The two that knew me were dying with laughter, and the other two were even more confused but were trying not laugh as well.
"I'm not old," I said crossing my arms."I'm literally in the middle of J-Hope-ssi and RM-ssi in age."
Jungkook was laughing under me. I looked at Jin and Namjoon saying," I'm sorry that this is your first impression of me. You know how Jungkook is."
"It's fine. It's nice to meet you, Ahn-ah," Seokjin said smiling." Nice to meet the face to all the stories."
I looked down at Jungkook and squinted at the back of his head.
"What stories have you been telling them," I hopped slightly on his back. Jungkook grunted and rolled me off his back. I grunted as my back slapped the floor.
"Nothing bad," Jungkook said sitting up." Just all our adventures in Busan and you being the one that brought me to Seoul for the auditions."
"Aw I remember that," I cooed at the memory of 13 year old Kookie auditioning to be an idol.
Jungkook's face turned slightly red at my cooing causing him to whine," Hyung."
The rest of us chuckled at the maknae as I finally stood up and bowed.
"To introduce myself properly, I'm Lee Ahn," I said smiling wide." I'm a '94 liner and one of you guy's backup dancers. I grew up with bunny boy in Busan."
"Nice to meet you, Ahn-ssi," Namjoon said bowing.
"Question. How have we never met you before if you are one of our back up dancers," Jin asked confused." Wouldn't we have bumped into each other at some point in 6 years."
I smirked before saying," Who says we haven't?"
Jin and Namjoon looked so confused again.
"Come on," I chuckled and then listed every possible moment," I practice one floor below, and I have worked on every music video and performance that has needed dancers. I have literally bumped into everyone of you guys save for J-Hope and Suga, for some reason. Plus when you guys do practice with the othe dancers, I always wore a face mask, and I'm positioned right behind Kookie in the group part in Not Today."
"Heck. It took until Tae needed help with Singularity's dance before I met him and Jimin," I said shrugging." But there really hasn't been an opportunity to speak to the rest of you."
"Why wait so long," Namjoon asked." Why not when we debuted?
I glanced behind me at the maknae line. Jungkook's arm was slung over Jimin's shoulders with Jimin pressed against his side while Tae's and Jungkook's right and left hands were interlocked. I smiled at the soulmates as they looked to be in their own world.
"Honestly," I started," at first it was because I wanted him to bond with you guys, and get to know you and his soulmates then as time went on we never really had time. With comebacks, promotions, tours, and work in general, we just decided to let fate decide when we all would meet."
Jin and Namjoon nodded. I checked my phone for the time and realized how late it was getting.
"Kook, we might want to head out," I said looking at the boy," if we want to get food."
Jungkook seemed to perk up at the mention of food. Smiling he practically had heart eyes and hummed out," lamb skewers."
Jimin rolled his eyes at his boyfriend while the rest of us chuckled lightly. Jungkook gave Jimin and Tae a quick kiss and practically skipped toward the door calling out for me to hurry up.
"Jeez, this child and lamb skewers," I chuckled bidding goodbye to the boys as I picked up my bag, threw it over my shoulder, and followed the younger boy out the door to the elevator.
"Do you plan on getting lamb skewers covered in sweat," I joked as the elevator moved to the ground floor as Kookie pulled out a face mask out of his back pocket and put it on.
"Don't I still have clothes over at your apartment," he asked fixing his beanie over his head looking at me with his doe eyes.
"You plan on showering at my apartment," I asked as the doors slid open and we walked out the building and toward my apartment.
"Only after you do cause, hyung, you smell," JK joked scrunching his nose. I bumped him slightly. His laugh rang through the street making people give us evil looks, but he didn't care.
"Ya, you brat," I said shaking my head smirking. "Race you to my building. Loser has to shower second."
I took off running as I heard Jungkook yell that I cheated. These are the moments that make life beautiful.
Hogwarts! Seungkwan
anon requested: "i love your hogwarts scenarios! can you also do one for seungkwan? thank you!!"
all you have to do is imagine second year Seungkwan bouncing around the train
desperately searching for the “candy lady”
what an absolute cutie
until there’s suddenly a flaming wiggly shape in the horse carriage
freakin Boo Seungkwan at his finest acting like he’s kwon fire
a mess
at least he’s a cute mess
and his Hufflepuff self clinging to Vernon for help
the both of them freaking out about an owl sized fire
“DIDN’T YOU LEARN LAST YEAR?”
“UM NO”
and it takes a whole 30 seconds for them to realize there’s also a water spell like smh lol
halfblood so like he knew the houses and stuff
even though he didn’t look it, very very nervous on sorting day
after all, he was like a small halfblood wizard from a small island with a long generations of Boos behind him
not to mention he was second
“gosh couldn’t there be more Ahns born in our year” he whispers to Vernon
to which the latter raises his hands above his head
“I’m a Chwe so..”
and approximately 17 seconds after the hat touch his head, Boo Seungkwan was declared Hufflepuff
now who said Hufflepuffs can’t be funny, sarcastic, and loud
no one never after hearing this kid
legit the class clown, everything he does will go down in history
like that one time he got dared to superglue the potions professor’s things to his desk
“WHO DID THIS HUH?” that one teacher who looks hilarious when mad, trying to pry the chalk off the desk
and Seungkwans that bright kid who giggles while raising his hand
though whining while cleaning everyday for the next month, but happily singing trot songs loudly
not really ‘best in the class type’ haha
so some teachers actually lowkey dislike him but they don’t wanna get pranked so
he’s really the ‘im good in every class if i study and take notes but i fall asleep one day and im FREAKED’
to which he figured this out in his first year
him panicking, running through the school blindly looking for Vernon
probably passing Vernon multiple times, who was just bopping his head to a song blasting through his head phones
but this is how he meets Joshua,
leaning up against the common room wall panting when he feels a light tap on the shoulder and looks up into an eye smile
“are you okay?”
“HYUNGGGGGGGGGG”
Joshua’s sweet soul who spends the rest of the night tutoring him, but Joshua does not do people’s work
and Joshua’s like the only tutor Seungkwan will ever have that doesn’t make him wanna pull his hair out
or roast them
but honestly Seungkwan has the biggest heart ever
Christmas is the best time of year and don’t argue with him on this unless you wanna BOX
extra af and wears a Santa Claus hat the entire month which all the teachers ignore
and the get up he comes up with this year
lots of people went home for the holidays but not Seungkwan as he lives far
so that Christmas morning at breakfast waltzes in proudly wearing a Santa onesie
with a sack thrown over shoulder, filled with gifts
and Vernon next to him dying of laughter
the entire hall clapping excitingly and giggling as Seungkwan spreads his arms out
“ho ho ho”
through all the excitement ,,, leaves the sack under the table too busy arguing with Vernon and Minghao about who won the pie eating competition
you happen to have slightly over slept that morning
completely forgetting it was Christmas morning too focused on food
until your eyes meet the brightly decorated hall walking to your Gryffindor table and sitting down
happily swinging your feet back and forth until you accidentally kick something
quickly realizing omg it’s Seungkwan bag from last year
you weren’t really close to him, maybe had a couple conversations,
that one time you guys were dying of laughter in class bc you caught him trying to stick sticky notes on Vernon’s back
but that’s it
being kinda nosy you can’t help but peek
its so cute
the bag’s filled with okay wrapped boxes, in vibrant red, green, blue, and yellow
secretly you take something from your bag, add a note, and drop it in
smiling to yourself, you pick up the bag and head to the Hufflepuff common room, where you knew his group of friends were spending the morning together
from overhearing a conversation of course, they aren’t the quietest people lol
thankfully your eyes meet a panicking Seungkwan and his friends in front of the entrance
“Heyyyy Seungkwan”
“Oh! y/n~” his expression immediately changes to a happy one
“Merry Christmas!” you laugh, handing him the sack, making him realize you had it
“Merr- YOU FOUND IT”
he dramatically engulfs the sack into a hug making you giggle
“since it’s Christmas, i’ll let it slide, be more careful next time yeah?” you joke
he chuckles, “i will i will”
he pauses, “oh? where are all your friends at?”
tucking your hair behind your ears, you smile softly
“most of my friends went home for the holiday, and my one Slytherin friend,” you check your watch and laugh,
“she’ll be sleeping for another three hours”
“omo omo omo, how SO, you shouldn’t spend Christmas morning all by yourself, do you wanna?”
he turns back, unsure if he could invite a stranger
before they can answer, you shake your head, “please Seungkwan, I’ll be fine”
you grin at him, and feeling the holiday spirit, you give him a quick hug
“Merry Christmas you guys!” you call before skipping down the halls,
not really thinking much of the hug,
for now
“M-merry Christmas!!” he says after you
“Oh! y/n~” Soonyoung mimics as soon as your out of sight
“stopppppp,” Seungkwan whines, shoving Soonyoung’s arm
“does little Seungkwanie have a crush already?”
“OMG~”
“come someone help me shove the cuties under some mistletoe”
“LALALALALA I DONT” he protests
they chuckle, but leave it at
and it’s time to pass out gifts,
Seungkwan taking them out of his sack, handing them to each of his 7 friends present
then taking the last gift out, he notices a tiny something left
peaking to see if anyone saw, he pretends it wasn’t there stuffs the “empty” sack behind him
until he’s alone in his room and curiously opens the sack
“woah” he finds two chocolate frogs and a note
‘merry christmas seungkwan~ you always give people gifts, you deserve something too, thanks so much for always making history exciting hehe’
there he is sitting on his bed becoming shy with rosy cheeks all by himself
the next day
“VERNON” Seungkwan whisper yells, “what does y/n like?”
“the heck?” he chuckles confused, “why?”
shrugging not so casually, “just because”
“wow the hyungs were just teasing, do you like her?” Vernon’s eyes budge out his sockets
he huffs, “nevermind”
and walks away
while later that night, your walking upstairs
“oh hey y/n! what do you like”
you tilt your head at Vernon’s question
“why?”
“uhhh just a friends asking”
you quickly putting two and two together laugh, “i like chocolate frogs”
the days go quickly and there’s one more day until class starts up again
so you and your friend decide to head to hogsmeade
just as you guys are about to step onto the carriage
“Y/n!”
your head turns to meet a large group of guys,
“can we get in?” Seungkwan asks grinning
nodding of course, you smile
the conversation between the two of you is full of laughter, while Vernon who came along with Seungkwan and your friend made the occasional comments
when they weren’t paying attention, your friend nudges you
“hey do you like Seungkwan?” she whispers
your eyes widen, “no!”
but that question rings through your ears for the rest of the ride
and somehow
“i wanna go to the candy store” Seungkwan says
“ah im gonna go get a butterbeer with the hyungs”
“awe”
your eyes shake between them
and having a wild imagination and being quick witted, you think amused
‘did they plan this?’
“i’ll go” you say speaking up, but then checking with your friend about it
luckily she shrugs and says she has other friends she could meet before leaving
“i never said thanks for the chocolate frogs by the way!”
“oh!” you laugh having pretty much forgot about it, “it’s no problem”
“you know what, i’ll buy you some today!”
you smile in thanks
and feel this unfamiliar feeling in your heart
as he’s talking, your realizing so pretty his smile his
how he makes the best facial expressions,
even him being one or two inches taller than you
and there it is again, that feeling in your chest
as if your heart is about to burst out from it’s safe place
upon entering the shop and without your approval, Seungkwan immediately buys 5 chocolate frogs
walking outside together now,
“here” he hands you chocolate
“cheers” you giggle accepting it then clinking the food together
“OH LOOK!” he points to something in your hand excitingly
“YOU GOT A SPECIAL ADDITION CARD!”
chuckling at his cuteness, you raise your eyebrows, “you collect these then?”
he nods vigorously
“you can have it then”
you take his hand in yours and dramatically set the card there
he gasps and bows he head, “i will protect this with my life”
suddenly you both hear loud shrieks
“WHAT IS THIS??”
all his friends surround you guys, arms over his shoulders
your honestly not really sure what happens then
but you remember saying goodbye and leave, laughing when you hear incoherent shouts
and that’s it sadly
until you stumble into the library with rolls of the parchment in hand with your friend
“OKAY, we must finish our homework tonight!” you say determined
“YES! okay good luck!”
maybe you guys set the goals a little two high
because two hours later your friend is asleep on the table with your about to follow after her
for the first time since in there, you look around
and become shocked when you see Seungkwan holding his hair in fists with two of his older friends next to him
he looks up and happens to make eye contact with you
you smile at him
but he starts to urgently motion you to come towards him while his friends stare
cautiously you walk over and introduce yourself to his friends
“y/n save me!!!”
he grabs your hands holding them tightly
one of his friends tsk, “gentlemen should ask before holding a girl’s hand”
“Jeonghan!” the other friend says in a scolding tone, but amusement seeping through his voice
Seungkwan immediately lets go of your hand and blushes, “it’s not-t-”
“okay Kwannie,” the other friend smiles, a little mischievously in your opinion,
“y/n here, will give you a kiss on the cheek if you finish your work”
for once your not quick to process things
“Joshua,” that Jeonghan guy mocks the Joshua guy’s tone from earlier
catching what they are saying, “i will~”
an very obvious blush on your cheeks
“o-okay!” Seungkwan eyes you for a second but looks away, the red on his cheeks becoming redder
let’s just say his work might have not been accurate, as he ended up making the two of you escape them
dashing out the library
giggling you laugh, “if you hate it that much, i’ll have to help with your homework”
he nods, “please”
your eyes meet seconds too long
but neither of you look away
hearts pounding
and whether you gave him that kiss or not
thats a secret ;)
Episode start.  A familiar trio appears on the center of the stage, greeting the in-venue audience and the audience at home with matching saccharine smiles. “It’s been a long journey to get here today,” Byun Baekhyun says, addressing the audience as the camera follows his face and words. “Both for us, the viewers, and for the girls who have worked diligently from the start to make it to this final point.”
“It’s bittersweet knowing we’ll have to say goodbye to many tonight,” Seo Kangjoon continues, picking up the cue with his own charismatic words. “All the girls here have become our favorites, right?” The audience cheers in agreement to the words, clapping and calling out their favorite contestants’ names in support. Han Yejin’s smile widens at the loud sound and she playfully covers one of her ears to tease about the audience’s excited volume.
“Before the end, there’s still a lot more to see!” she announces warmly. “So Jisub sajangnim, do you have anything to say before we begin?” The camera cuts over to the image of the Royal CEO sitting comfortably at his usual spot in the middle of the venue, only this time surrounded by a sea of fans holding colorful banners in support of their future idols. Jisub looks handsome for this finale episode, dressed to the nines in a sleek gray suit and tie and grinning widely at Han Yejin’s query.
“I want to say… I’m looking forward to this,” he jokes pleasantly. He lifts the microphone up and the metal head touches gently against his lips as he speaks. “Let’s begin.”
For the audience at home, a brief review of last episode’s events reminds them what’s at stake for tonight. Two groups have been formed by So Jisub based on the finalists remaining in the competition: Team A, consisting of YANG JIWON, JO EUNAE, LEE JIHYUN, MANOBAN LALISA, and LEE SOOHYUN; and Team B, consisting of PARK CHAEYOUNG, JEGAL SEOYOUNG, KIM SEOLHYUN, AHN HYOJIN, and NAM DAWON, and these groups are to perform one last time, their efforts and stage presence determining their future fate in Luxe-- or outside of it. As they’ve only been given a week to prepare for this performance, the pressure has mounted higher than ever and the resulting emotional responses have intensified, as seen in several clips of the girls as they are given a chance to capture a camera and confess their innermost thoughts.
“it’s been a really precious experience.” JEGAL SEOYOUNG says as she steeples her fingers. “In the beginning I thought… I probably won’t make it to the end, but I should still do it. I couldn’t give up the chance. but now it really feels like i could win.” Seoyoung reaches down and takes a sip of tea, which has now cooled to her satisfaction. “If you told me I would be a finalist on a Royal Survival show in one year, I would have fainted. Seriously.”
“The girls aren’t here right now, but I brought them with me!” JO EUNAE lifts up a picture they all took together at the very beginning of the show, when there were still thirteen of them. "We lost three girls along the way. Three talented friends. I guess you could say it’s to be expected when you enter a survival show; you never know when your turn will come and how you’ll react if it does. But when you’re in it, it’s different. We’re so involved that we don’t really imagine this could ever end. You know? The experience I gained during the show is priceless, really. I was confident in my abilities. Not arrogant, but confident. Maybe a little too much?” she laughs earnestly. “But I’ve learned that i indeed have a lot to work on still. i think even years from now, I won’t be able to be completely satisfied with myself. Maybe I’m too competitive, but I think it’s always possible to do better.”
“If I had an opportunity to do this again, to be on another survival show, I think I would do it,” KIM SEOLHYUN confesses, “I thought I knew what I would be getting myself into when I signed myself up for this, but some of the challenges, the interview and the dress…” Her eyes closed and her shoulders bounced in a silent laugh. Hands went up to cover her face with a whine as if wanting to forget the memory. “It’s nearing the end now, right? No matter what happens, every one of us did their best. At this point…  I’m also proud of /us/ for making it this far. Really, with all the memories we shared, I would be glad to be in the same group with any of them. But we’ll learn about that soon, won’t we? I’m nervous just thinking about it.”
“When I auditioned – I thought that I’d be a shoo-in.” LEE JIHYUN reveals honestly. “I’ve been at Royal for so long, I had to get in? But getting put into minor really made me work for my place. I had become so complacent that I had forgotten the feeling of trying and took my seniority for granted. If anything, from this experience – I learned that it’s never too late to keep trying, to prove your worth. Or, show that my dancing has improved a little bit – I know, I’m still not the best but I’m not exactly a sight for sore eyes anymore, right? Riiiiiiiiiiii –ght.” Jihyun laughs, hand coming up to cover her lips, muting the laughter trying to keep it at bay. “I just hope, in the end, that’s what I’m remembered for. started from the bottom, now i’m here.”
“Hi, hi! It’s me, Lee Soohyun, royal entertainment’s sunflower and precious chibi moon.” LEE SOOHYUN giggles then a soft smile appears on her lips, and she then turns the camera to show that she is actually at a cosplay cafe. “i’m here with my boyfriend you know.. i’m sorry sajangnim.. i didn’t want you to find out like this. he’s very good to me i hope you support us!” she jokes, but later becomes more sweetly sincere: “i pray that we make you happy with our performances, please look after us fondly. we all have worked really hard to be here, chasing any dream takes a lot of courage.” Soohyun smiles placing her free hand on her chest, “it’s scary.. even if we don’t show it.. we’re all a little scared. we’re bearing our hearts to you. so with that being said i always remember this: don’t forget, if usagi can! so can you! i love you guys bye bye! god bless!”
“hello hello hello!” MANOBAN LALISA says greetings in the three languages she knows — first korean, then english, then thai. “this whole show has been a wild ride, and so much happened in the span of a few months.” lisa takes a sip of her drink before continuing. “there are a lot of things that happened that didn’t get shown. we had a lot of hardships. sometimes i would be practicing all day and i wouldn’t realize the time, and since the practice rooms have no windows, i would barely even think about it… to be honest, it was difficult in the beginning because i knew that i was lacking, especially compared to the other trainees.” she pauses, taking a breath. “i think that’s what really motivated me. because i thought that i definitely couldn’t show that on television, and that i had to improve no matter what. and i’ve learned so much from sajangnim and my trainers and the other trainees, so i’m really really grateful.”
“it’s been, what, three months now? wow, it feels so…unbelievable. i still can’t decide if the time passed by slowly or quickly, but… i don’t think i’m ready for it to be over yet.” NAM DAWON smiled a warm and reminiscent smile. “it’s been such an important chapter in my life… it feels almost like i’m graduating high school again,” she admitted, light amounts of laughter spilling from within her. “coming into this, i didn’t think that i’d end up caring about all of these people so much, but…” she looked down for a moment, and, when her gaze lifted, it became clear that she had tears forming in her eyes. “coming from another company… i know that this is my last chance to be with them. i’m not ready to leave them yet, so i have to show that to so jisub by working hard, right? i want this more than anything… i realize that now. i’ll adapt, and, maybe you’ll see me on luxe’s debut stage! royal, fighting!”
“i remember when the show was announced, i didn’t sign up nor take part in the special training, i didn’t want to be apart of the show.” PARK CHAEYOUNG explains. “so, when i signed up, it was more-or-less on a whim.” rose glances downwards at her hands, fingers almost bare of rings, other jewelery which usually occupies every vacant limb. “i can say now, that i’m really glad i signed up, and god, who knew i’d be here still. i want to win.” she shifts in her place, leaning back in the chair, folding her arms across her chest, looking downwards. “it means so much to me that i’ve been given the opportunity to debut alongside them, we’ve worked so hard. let's go all the way together. no matter what, everything happens for a reason. this is park chaeyoung signing off, i may be rose of luxe or just rose of royal but,” she pauses. “either way, i’ll be happy. take care now, bye bye!”
“I’m trying really hard. Harder than I ever thought I’d be capable of. Not because…Not because I’m afraid of losing. I know I have to do well for the others.” YANG JIWON is too tired to stave off the way her eyes start to well with tears. “People think I don’t work hard because of the company I represent, or that I think I can just be better without…lifting a finger or anything. All of these girls are so talented. I never thought I’d make it this far. And they’ve all been so good to me. I hate the thought of them not debuting together, especially my teammates...” She sniffs, for at least the third time since she started recording. “I have to be better,” she concedes, looking into the camera, “It could be the last time anyone sees anything from me ever, and that’s kind of a big deal…”
From expressions of positivity to a consistent sense of fear of being eliminated, it’s visible to all that the girls are enduring far more mentally and emotionally than what is shown on the camera. It’s the cost of a survival competition and no one envies their position; they’re offering it all to the watching audience and only one man decides whether it’s good enough or not.
Once more returned to the stage, Seo Kangjoon introduces the first group to perform as Team B. PARK CHAEYOUNG, JEGAL SEOYOUNG, KIM SEOLHYUN, AHN HYOJIN, and NAM DAWON all take center stage and the lights and music begin for their rendition of the original song, “Want You to Say.” Jisub’s eyes are sharp as he assesses the performers individually: Rose, whose lovely vocals and stage presence have improved gradually over the duration of the competition; Seoyoung, whose full-rounded talent adds stability to the group’s overall dynamic; Seolhyun, whose usual high dance quality is marred by an injury he’d heard about from the choreographer, yet who still endures well for the camera; Elly, who impresses him with her suitability to this fresh concept, as well as her softer rapping style that’s a refreshing change to hear; and lastly, Dawon, whose singing style is as flawless as ever and has him closing his eyes in joy to hear it.
It’s tremendous. So Jisub is impressed and the feeling is revealed on his face as he slowly nods in approval once the performance ends. “Well done, girls,” Jisub tells them simply, smiling wide. There will be no critique for these final performances but he hopes his appreciation for their shown hard work is heard loud and clear as he claps strongly for them, along with the audience who shouts their praises to the five girls.
Byun Baekhyun comes to the microphone when the noise finally dies down and introduces the next group as Team A. YANG JIWON, JO EUNAE, LEE JIHYUN, MANOBAN LALISA, and LEE SOOHYUN all take their positions on stage and the lights and music go up for their performance to “Why Did You Come to My House?” An utter change of pace from the previous fun-hearted performance, the audience and So Jisub all watch equally fascinated as the up-beat stage takes place next. As before, the CEO quietly watches all girls in turn: Jiwon, whose potential he’s always believed in despite her being thrust into roles where she couldn’t show it off like the others; Eunae, a talented rapper who one simply couldn’t take their eyes off of whenever she appeared; Jihyun, with a singing talent to shake the soul out of viewers as she hits the challenging high notes; Lisa, the epitome of someone who’d worked hard throughout the competition to improve to his standards; and Soohyun, whose vocals fill the CEO with shameless pride that he’s found her such a long time ago.
Jisub feels the pressure mounting even before the song is over. In front of him now are five girls whose talent could shake a nation, and yet so, too, were five previously who could do the same. However, despite the heavy decision that he feels weighing down his shoulders, the CEO already knows the final conclusion he’s come to. These performances alone were never the deciding factor but everything up to this point. Their past performances, hearing the honest opinions from the coaches over these three months, watching the confessional interviews behind the scenes that weren’t always shown on air and, finally, his own biased opinion over who would suit Luxe -- all these factored into the decision he’d announce once the final ensemble performance graced the stage. “Absolutely fantastic,” he praises Team A, keeping to a simplistic approach as he conveys his happiness over their performance with enthusiastic applause.
The surprise for the audience follows next, as Han Yejin takes over the microphone to announce “Wild” as a special presentation for the loyal viewers watching the show all this time. “May I introduce… your finalists of Royal Survival!” she declares, once the girls have had enough time to quickly change into their ‘Wild’ costumes and the stage is reset for the final performance. The lights go on and the audience is mesmerized by the full sight of all ten young women challenging the third, most difficult concept of all: sensuality to bewitch the mind.
Jisub looks on with pride as he sees them all together on stage for the final time. His chest tightens with an unexpected rise of emotion as he thinks of all the progress they’ve made since joining the show. Those without confidence in their first challenge now shine like stars underneath the bright lights and he exhales out a long breath, smiling fondly as they dance together as a unit and entertain the audience with their unique charms.
Of these girls, his Luxe would be born.
When the performance ends, the audience roars with thunderous cheers and applause. The girls are given time to soak in the live reaction, standing on stage to hear what’s justly deserved as the camera crew and stage crew hurriedly switch over to the results stage. The audience at home is given a commercial break while they do so, and Jisub takes the time off camera to stretch out his legs and take a much-needed sip of water.
This was it. The final reckoning.
There’s no way for him to prepare himself for the inevitable heartbreak he’d cause on that stage tonight. Jisub knew this was the end for several of them, some who might leave his company out of grief and giving up on their dreams ( though, of course, he’d hoped they wouldn’t. ) But, for the others, those who would start on this road with him to make Luxe the shining new stars of the idol industry, he would have to steel himself to face the consequences.
When the show returns, Jisub stands and faces the girls, still dressed in their Wild costumes, with a bittersweet expression. “Thank you, girls, for everything,” he tells them sincerely. “These last three months have been eye-opening and I’ve seen talent that takes my breath away still even today.”
“Without further ado, I will now sort you into groups for the very last time.”
The audience gasps in surprise at this announcement but Jisub has anticipated this reaction and ignores it, choosing instead to stare steadily at the line up of finalists up on stage before opening his mouth to announce their names one by one.
“Ahn Hyojin… you will stay in Team B.”
“Jo Eunae… you will stay in Team A.”
“Kim Seolhyun… you will move to Team A.”
“Lee Jihyun… you will stay in Team A.”
“Lee Soohyun… you will move to Team B.”
“Manoban Lalisa… you will move to Team B.”
“Nam Dawon… you will move to Team A.”
“Park Chaeyoung… you will stay in Team B.”
“Yang Jiwon… you will stay in Team A.”
Jisub pauses, considering the new groups as they stand now: Team A, consisting of JO EUNAE, KIM SEOLHYUN, LEE JIHYUN, NAM DAWON, and YANG JIWON; and Team B, consisting of AHN HYOJIN, LEE SOOHYUN, MANOBAN LALISA, and PARK CHAEYOUNG. The CEO’s gaze settles on Jegal Seoyoung, considering her for a long moment of contemplation before finally speaking.
“Seoyoung, you will join Team A as the sixth, and final member, of the new Royal girl group Luxe.” His smile is radiant as he stares at the chosen girls. “Congratulations to all of you. You have been truly outstanding all of this time.”
To the members of Team B, Jisub’s tone takes on a softer tone. “Ladies, you, too, have been absolutely outstanding since the start of this competition. But, for several of you… Lisa and Rose, especially, I believe there’s still time for you two to grow. You are young trainees still and time is what you need in order to train to reach your fullest potential. Keep working hard, training hard, and debut will certainly be in your futures.” To Soohyun and Elly, he also nods his head apologetically. “For you two, as well, it was a close call -- and probably the hardest decision I have had yet to make. However, Luxe is not the group that is meant for you. I know what you two are capable of, probably better than you know yourself, and I assure you, as your CEO, that I will always steer you in the right direction. I am proud of you, of all four of you, and I can only see your futures expanding wider from this moment on.”
Jisub then turns his attention to the winners of Royal Survival -- the six girls who will soon be presented to the world as his Royal LUXE. “Eunae, Seolhyun, Jihyun, Dawon, Jiwon, and Seoyoung… each of you has proven yourselves to be exactly what I’d hoped for when this competition began. Full of talent, full of potential, beautiful as well as hardworking-- let us travel this road together from now on. Congratulations,” he says again, warmly. “You have won the final round of Royal Survival.”
[ OOC Note: ]
Congratulations to the winners of Royal Survival, and a heartfelt thank you to the contestants who have worked hard to make this event a truly special experience!
For the finalists who have won a position in Luxe, a follow-up post concerning the group concept will appear on Royal Entertainment’s company blog in the next few days (my personal time permitting) with further instructions about what will occur in the next stage for you. For Eunae, Dawon, and Jiwon, a meeting between Royal Ent. lawyers and their original company lawyers will take place privately in which Royal will follow legal procedures to officially buy out their contracts. You will be given a two year contract with Royal starting on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 while those already in Royal will keep the same contracts they have now.
For the finalists who did not win, you may return to your original trainee status that you held prior to the beginning of the competition. Everyone will be expected to move out of the Seocho dorms before the weekend (December 9th) and can return to their normal living spaces and training schedules by the 6th.
Any questions may be sent either to the Royal Ent. inbox or to Mod Sera or to Mod Kyle, as appropriate. Once again, thank you all so much (as well as our opinionated netizens!) for making this event truly a memorable one. Let’s meet again soon! ^v^
For the Royal MCs, BYUN BAEKHYUN and SEO KANGJOON, you may use this episode as the proof post of your participation in this event. Please provide this verification form along with your usual workshop forms for the December 6th activity check. You may submit both Episode 7 and 8 forms together if you wish.
The Hat Stays
This is it... the carrot thirst... YOU GUYS MADE ME DO IT I HAVE REMAINED PURE THROUGH THIS SIN.......... Okay who am I kidding; here have this extremely thirsty piece because hot damn I love my husband and his butt
Dusk had almost entirely fallen at Windmire when the Heroes Team delivered a special sets of clothes to the eldest nohrian siblings, through one Anna. After dinner, they gathered around the long table so as to inspect the contents of the packages.
Coincidentally, Elise had come to visit that particular day from Hoshido (though her visits were quite often to the point of making Leo snark at her about her marriage sometimes) and squealed in delight when Camilla inspected her set.
"My, such naughty outfit!" The eldest princess laughed as she lifted the bunny leotard designed especially for her.
Elise beamed. "It's soooo cute, Big Sister! Is it a swimsuit? I want one with these frills and cute tailcoat, too!"
Camilla laughed. Leo cleared his throat. Kamui was too busy looking at Xander's package, alongside him.
Elise remained oblivious to her brother and sister's reactions, though the smile still remained over her lips as she turned to the King and Queen duo. "How's Xander's?"
The color left Xander's face as he put his eyes on the bright pink fabric. Immediately did he close the cloth bag. "Absolutely not." He said plainly.
Kamui snorted. "Come now, my King, let us at least see what they prepared for you." She put one hand over his, the other one slowly pulling the packet so as to open it. Xander narrowed his eyes to his wife, not before focusing on each one of his siblings.
Leo was fighting a smirk -- he had seen the bright pink tailcoat --, Camilla skimmed through the rest of the set provided for her; complete with stockings, high heels and, gasp, bunny ears. Elise expectantly looked at her brother, feeling somewhat envious of both elder siblings because they got such great outfits while she had to battle in her old and boring dress.
The Queen kept pulling the package. "Are you really going to turn your back to the Heroes Team after saying you would provide all the help they needed?"
Xander groaned. "Do not try to guilt-trip me into wearing this, Kamui. I understand perfectly my duties as a Summoned Hero and, as flattering as it is to be chosen to host their Spring Festival, as a King I must keep myself presentable and honorable at all times."
Leo nodded, though he couldn't help but add: "Indeed, though it is also a King's duty to be approachable and..." He fought a snicker, feeling terrible for saying that of his respectable older brother, but still not wanting to miss the opportunity of snarking. "... and there's nothing more, pfft... approachable than a bunny suit..." He shook with suppressed laughter, taking one hand to cover his mouth.
Before Xander could reprimand the younger prince, Elise and Kamui managed to sneak the package open. "It's sooo pretty, Big Brother! Leo's right!" She took the poofy undershirt and twirled with it in front of her body. "I'm sure people will think you're less sc- er, more approachable with this!" She managed to correct herself in time -- as far back in her mind as it was, the image of Xander as a distant brother still lingered at some extent and she almost let it out.
"Why, Brother, our siblings are right!" Camilla chuckled, neatly folding her clothes back into the bag. "I will gladly wear this to their Festival, though I will ask of Kaze's opinion on it first..." She winked to Kamui and blew a kiss to her siblings before turning on her heel to the southern door. "Kaze, my darling, I know you're there. We have some checking to do." She said as she exited the room, calling for her husband.
Once again Leo cleared his throat, though now his face was flushed. Kamui bit her lip and squeezed the pants still inside the bag, glancing from them to her husband. "Won't you at least try it out? I'm sure they picked you specifically because of your qualities as a King and host; as gaudy as the colors look."
"Hey! They're not gaudy!" Elise retorted as she browsed through the transparent cape. "Please, Xander, won't you reconsider? I really wanted to dress up with these cute bunny ears, too..." The youngest princess looked down, almost distraught. Xander never won against that look, but now his own self-respect was at stake.
"I'm afraid I cannot concede to this, little Elise." He glanced at Kamui then narrowed his eyes at Leo, who was now more feeling bad about his earlier comment than willing to make another. "Or Kamui and Leo."
"Now, now," Kamui patted his chest before signaling for Elise to give the cape back. She then put everything back at the bag. "Let's not be hasty. You can change into it and then we can talk it out, hm?" She nudged him towards the northern door, almost pushing him out as she nodded a goodbye to her siblings. "I'll do my best," she mouthed to Elise, then lifted her thumb.
The young queen gasped, nodded and waved. Leo started to draft an apology inside his head.
"Kamui, I will not repeat myself." He said for the millionth time as they reached their room. "You cannot make me wear-"
The Queen looked down. "I thought you wanted to do whatever it took to make our family a happy one..."
"You are being overly dramatic." He took the bag out of her hands and walked towards the table to put it inside a drawer. "I will not disgrace myself--"
"But it's just for a good fun!" Kamui stomped her foot on the floor, making Xander turn around. He actually hadn't thought of that. "It's such a good thing that, in Askr, they're so blessed with Spring that their Festival's big enough to call people from other realms to host it! We barely have anything like that in Nohr..."
Xander pursed his lips, squeezing the clothes with his hand. "I can see through your reasoning all too well, my Queen." He sighed, shifting the weight of his body to another leg. "So be it. I will wear this for your eyes only and then refuse their invitation as a host." If it were his Kamui, he wouldn't mind being seen at his worst... mostly.
Still not satisfied, but at least happy for the opportunity of seeing him in that outfit, Kamui clasped her hands and nodded. "Okay! We can talk more after you've changed." She trotted to the bed and sat, her deep green dress fluttering around her.
Once again the King sighed, taking one last look at the brightness of the pink he was about to wear. He took another glance at his eager wife and forced a smile, walking towards the folding screen so as to change into his demise.
Kamui heard as he stripped, groaned at the sight of the costume and put it on. She giggled, a bubbly feeling rising inside her chest -- he was so against it, but still indulged her when she asked; how loved she felt at that moment!
However, after a few moments, she felt not only loved, but blessed.
"Are you finished?" She asked after some minutes of silence. He was mortified.
"... I am." He replied before stepping out of the folding screen, one palm over his face so as to hide his shame and bright red cheeks. "I do not know how they put their hands on my measurements, but surely they got at least a number down."
Kamui lost her voice as she brought one hand to hide her gaping mouth. Indeed, she thought, everything was a complete tight fit -- she could almost see through his muscles and, most of all, she could outline his crotch inside the cramped pants.
Her throat suddenly felt dry. "Can you... take a step forward?" She opened and closed her hand, almost begging him to walk towards her.
Not realizing the state of her mind or where she was staring at, Xander simply looked up, too ashamed to face his beloved. Even his "hat" was simply a headband with a bunny-eared hat sewn into it. "... I will not."
"Ahn..." Kamui let out a strangled moan as Xander shifted the weight of his body to another leg -- she could see it! Outline it! "For the love of all gods, please... can you turn around?"
Finally sensing the lust in her voice, Xander felt his ears burn with embarrassment as he finally laid his eyes on Kamui. She was blushing and panting, though surely not from mortification as he was. Was she actually enjoying that... atrocity... that much?!
"What are you thinking, my Queen?" He managed to smirk under his embarrassment as he took a step towards Kamui, the pants so tightly fit into his body they made a leather squeak.
Kamui placed both hands over her face so as to hide from that god-sent pair of pants, but opened her fingers so she could still stare. "I'm thinking... that we can tell the Heroes team that they need to give you another set of these..." She gulped before getting up, her eyes never leaving his perfectly outlined penis. "So we can keep this one between four walls."
Her feet took her to her husband, who was still standing uncomfortably halfway to the bed. The Queen opened her arms and embraced her beloved, trailing her hands towards his rear.
Xander flinched when she squeezed them. "L-little Princess!" He hissed her old nickname by reflex, jerking his neck away so was to look at her as she pressed her face into his chest. Kamui kept her hands over his butt cheeks, taking her time in appreciating them.
"Ahh... it's a tight fit here too..." She bit her lower lip, trailing her hands from his rear to his front, teasingly pressing them around his inner thighs and crotch. "Please, don't tell me you still want to give this back..." She rested her chin over his chest so as to look him in the eye.
She almost regretted it if the sight weren't such a gift: his entire face was red not only from mortification but from embarrassment -- Kamui had never been this assertive around his body before and he didn't know how to react.
Blinded by lust, the Queen held onto his belt and put herself on her toes so as to steal a kiss. She inserted her tongue and deepened the caress right away, her chest going up and down in excitement.
Xander reciprocated the kiss almost right away, still taken aback by her teasing hands over his growing erection. He placed both hands over her face, holding it as tenderly as he knew how under those circumstances. The Queen's hands moved quickly -- she unbuckled the belt but never pulled the pants down.
Instead, she lowered herself to his lap area, nipping at his now full erect penis over the pants. They were so tight she could feel his bulge trembling; eager to be freed from its clench.
"Kah...mui," Xander moaned, placing one hand over her head, panting her name at every bite she gave. She rolled her eyes in pleasure -- how she loved when he called her name like that! -- and lowered the pants just enough to take his penis out: she was starved for it.
Xander sighed in pleasure with the contact of her hot breath and his glans, though it quickly turned into contained moans as Kamui put it all inside, twirling her tongue around it. She held one hand over his hip for support, the other one caressing the part of his shaft she didn't put inside throughout her caresses: she nipped, licked and sucked -- especially at the glans.
Panting, Xander already started to feel the orgasm looming in -- he could sense how much his wife hungered for him by the urgency of her movements and it only made him want to penetrate her more. "Ah... my Queen..." He clenched his hand over her hair, slightly pulling it as the climax shook his body; his fluids spurting into her mouth the way she liked it.
After swallowing it all, Kamui didn't stop: she still sucked and kissed his limp penis, trailing her mouth up towards his pubes and navel. As she went up, she undid the buttons in her way, licking through his strong abdomen and chest finally to his neck and left ear -- the second most sensitive spot of his body.
He had been bending down so her small body -- compared to his large and robust one --  could lick him all over, but he felt as she pulled him towards the bed, almost throwing him over it.
"Ah... so this is how you feel," Kamui marveled as she looked at his disheveled mien: clothes half open, second erection mid-way up and tousled hair. She liked her fingers in anticipation and undid both knots of her panties before climbing onto the bed and placing both legs between either sides of his body.
It would take too long for her to take off her dress, even only the upper part so he could fondle her breasts -- so the Queen went with it and only lifted the skirt enough so she could touch his now erect penis and place it into position before lowering herself over it.
Xander squeezed her leg with one hand, using the other to touch the hat-headband on his head so as to take it off since it was in the way. "How you suck me in, Kamui!" He breathed out, trembling with pleasure as she put it all in and sat completely over his penis.
"Ah...hn..." She bit her lower lip, taking her index to her mouth. "Don't... don't take it off." She managed to gasp despite feeling him rubbing onto her sensitive spot, all the way deep inside of her. "The hat stays."
The next chain of events happened so fast they might've happened at the same time: As Xander blushed with yet another assertive order from Kamui, she squeezed both her eyes and her vagina in pleasure, loving everything about a meek and embarrassed Xander under her power. That, in turn, made Xander himself close his eyes in pleasure and place both hands over her love handles, her insides twitching so much around him he felt his sensitive glans shudder.
"So this is how you feel when I put on a new lingerie..." She finished the phrase after going up and down a few times, his entirety bringing her so much more pleasure with the memory of the tight fit around his hips.
The King once again squeezed his wife's hips, the slow pace she went up and down driving him crazy. "Had I known this would affect you that much, I would have accepted it right away." He panted after she moved a few more times, both of her hands leaning over his broad chest.
"Please..." She begged, her usual behavior bleeding into the assertiveness. "Please tell me you'll accept their invitation..." She bounced up and down with more speed, just the thought of watching him walk around in those pants bringing her strength. Before he could reply, his voice lost due to pleasure, she kept going. "It'll, ah, do me WONDERS... to, ah... see you in battle with these..."
Kamui's mind started to fog due to the upcoming orgasm and her arms lost their strength -- she lied down over Xander's chest, obediently sticking out her hips so he could move them up and down over his shaft with both hands. "I'll, ahnn... be unstoppable, if, ah... it means to have you, ah, inside of me like thiss ahnn... every time..."
"Don't... Don't say these things." He panted, stretching his neck towards her for a kiss, his hands moving her hips with such speed he could see tears of pleasure rolling down Kamui's cheeks. As soon as their mouths joined, Kamui started to feel herself closing in around him, as though the extra contact with her beloved spurred her orgasm closer.
She wanted to keep her eyes open and stop the kiss so as to watch his face -- but ah, how his mouth lured her in; how his firm hands on her hips made her want to melt under his touch...!
"Xan-anh..." She moaned by his lips, squeezing her eyes as the orgasm washed over her body, making her twitch and clutch him inside.
The King bit his wife's lower lip before coming a second time, losing himself inside of her. "Hah... ah, my Kamui..." He marveled at their experience, both of their bodies shaking with the lingering pleasure as he embraced her in his arms.
"Please... please keep it..." She shook her head, just the thought of the costume making her twitches increase and stimulate him again.
He would have another erection at that rate and he wasn't sure he condoned it.
If it meant having a feverish and hungry Kamui pleasing, pleading and leading at the same time, what were a few hours of shame per day?
Snow White Chapter 40 (Epilogue): Once Upon a Dream
[Epilogue; modern AU. Twelve years old Seol is an only child of Wang So-Ho and Go Ha-Jin, beloved by her uncles. Five years ago, she met reincarnated Wang Ju, who is now named as Hwang Ju-Oh and has developed a big crush on her since he saw her singing. The episode ends with Seol introducing her parents and uncles her new friend much to their shock and dismay. Reincarnation!!]
“Seol, wake up.”
Twelve years old Seol blinked her eyes, still dizzy from her sleep. She opened her eyes and saw her mother Go Ha-Jin waking her up. She has long hair, fair skin, and her face was wearing with natural-styled make-up, bringing more beauty from her. Her mother was wearing simple but elegant white blouse, long black pants and her left hand as a ring on the fourth finger.
“Time to get up, young lady.” Ha-Jin said with smile.
Seol yawned loudly, rubbing her eyes with both of her hand. Today was her first day at the preschool and her mother prepared her clothes. After she prepared herself with clothing and backpack, she went down and began to eat breakfast. She was sitting between her mother and father, Wang So-Ho. Her uncles and cousins called her out and she greeted back with smile. Her grandmother Soo-Young prepared a lunch for her and put it inside Seol’s backpack, telling her to make sure she doesn’t get too picky with foods.
“By Seol~!”
Her cousins Heung-Gyu, Gyeong-Won, and Gyeong-Hwa left first, going to their high school. When Seol finished her breakfast, she grabbed her backpack and called her mother. Ha-Jin took her out and just in time, the bus arrived. Ha-Jin greeted the teachers as Seol bid her goodbye to her parents and hopped on the bus. The elementary school was actually connected to the international school of Korea and although it was small compare to other prestigious ones, it was good enough to let Seol attend since there are no school violence happened.
Seol get off from the bus and went inside the school building with other students, went to her classroom. She arrived and stored her backpack on her locker, pulling out books, notebooks and pencil case. She sat down and was greeted by her friends.
“Hi!” one girl with her hair tied in pony-tail, Hwang A-Ran greeted cheerfully.
She smiled as she greeted back. Cheon Jeon-Wu was among the most mischievous boy who likes to tease and play sports which was her favorite activity. A-Ran actually as two younger sister and one year older brother, but Seol didn’t see him. She remembered the first time she met A-Ran’s brother, it was five years ago.
It was a recess and children went outside the playground. Seol watched them screaming wildly as they were all playing together, her hand was holding a sketch book. One other thing she got from her father, is that when she’s in bad mood, she dislikes crowded place. So she went to the corner where there was a tree and flowers planted. Little Seol smiled at peace and began to sing the song her mother used to sang when she had a bad day. As she end the song, she heard a small twig broke and turned to see a boy around her age stood frozen. His eyes were wide in surprise, embarrassed to be seen caught.
“What are you doing?” Seol asked as she frowns.
The boy couldn’t say anything as she walked closer to her. Sensing that she might have scared the boy, her expression grew softened.
“Hey, I don’t bite,” Seol smiled widely, “I’m Wang Seol. What’s your name?”
The boy with timid demeanor looked at her. His eyes were staring at her large ones, feeling the sensation of a somewhat longing and nostalgia. Making a small smile, he answered.
“Hwang Ju-Oh.”
“Oh, so you’re A-Ran’s brother? Nice to meet ya!” She said.
They heard A-Ran and Jeon-Wu calling out for them. Seol grabbed Ju-Oh’s hand and ran towards them, unaware of a pink blush on his cheeks.
Seol heard someone tapping on her shoulder. She turned to see Ju-Oh smiling. The rest of day was great for both of them. After school, they sat beside together, along with A-Ran and Jeon-Wu inside the bus. When the it arrived at Seol’s house, Ha-Jin was waiting for her daughter. She noticed Seol bidding her goodbye to a boy who shyly waves his hand back.
“Who were you talking to?” Seol’s mother asked.
“My friend,” she replied, “mom, can I go to Lotte World with Ju-Oh?”
Ha-Jin blinked her eyes. Ju-Oh… ‘Oh…Yeon-Hee’s son!’ Hwang Yeon-Hee. Ha-Jin remembered the woman who was another incarnation of princess she met as Hae Soo. But in another world, Yeon-Hee was already married but divorced and managed to become the boss of Hwang Industry and they are forming a rather cordial relationship ever since they Yeon-Hee met her at the cosmetic shop Ha-Jin was working at. Seol’s mother smiled as she sent her daughter inside.
“Sure. I’ll prepare clothes tomorrow early morning.”
Saturday came fast and Seol couldn’t wait to see her friend coming over. Her giddy behavior didn’t go unnoticed by her father, uncles and cousins.
“What’s with giddy face, little princess Baek-Seol?”
So-Ho and Baek-Ah approached with grin.
“My friend’s coming here to visit today and we’re going on a date!”
As the word “date” come out, most of her uncles spat their drink.
“Aww, that’s great!” Eun-Hyuk came with his girlfriend Seon-Deok, “good thing we brought some cookies, chips and drinks after you come back!”
“Eun-Hyuk, I told you children under the age of thirteen are NOT supposed to drink beverages with high amount of caffeine and carbohydrates.” Yo-Sub came, scolding his brother.
“Oh come on! You’re being too strict! Give our niece some freedom.” Jae-Won said.
“So what’s your friend’s name?” Jung-In intervened with frown, asking Seol.
Speaking of…Seol heard a sound of doorbell rang. She was quick enough to run over the front door to greet her friend. When she opened the door, she let Ju-Oh in. She grabbed his hand and marched to the living room to introduce him. Some of Wang brothers’ smile faded slightly as they eyed the boy.
“Everyone! Meet my friend.” Seol said with smile.
Wang brothers didn’t expect Seol to bring the boy, for they predicted she was making friends with little girls. Jung-In, Baek-Ahn, and So-Ho’s eyes grew wide at the boy’s appearance.
“He is my friend, Hwang Ju-Oh.”
The Wang brothers’ eyes grew more wide.
‘Wang Ju?!’ Jung-In, Baek-Ahn, and So-Ho screamed in their thought.
Myung-Ha, Chae-Yung, Seon-Duk, Eun-Hyuk and Jin-Mu “aww”ed at the boy’s timid behavior. Yo-Sub’s eyebrows were raised but frowned still, bothering with the fact that his niece had brought a boy in the house. After all, Yo-Sub wasn’t immune with Seol’s cuteness. Sang-Wook’s eyes were furrowed for he also recognized the boy. Jae-Won whistled in amusement.
“Mom, me and Ju-Oh will be back before seven!” Seol told her mother.
“Alright, sweetie! Don’t forget to call if something happens.” Ha-Jin said as she went to the kitchen.
Most of Wang brothers—except Eun-Hyuk, Jin-Mu—glared, in unison, at the spot where Ha-Jin left. Seol dragged Ju-Oh to outside where Yeon-Hee was waiting for the children inside the car, while the girls giggled, already fan-girling over them.
“Did you see the boy’s face?” Chae-Yung asked Seon-Duk, “he was behaving so cute towards Seol!”
“I know, right?” Seon-Duk said, squealing, “I think Seol’s got herself a secret admirer~!”
Jin-Mu and Eun-Hyuk chuckled at the words, while rest of Wang uncles were glaring at outside. Looking at each other, Wang brothers smirked.
“You’re all thinking what I’m thinking?” Jung-In asked.
The “Protect Seol” club members nodded in unison. Ha-Jin face-palmed. All brothers went to their respective room, changing their clothes and went back down to get on their car, followed by the girls. Ha-Jin sighed and she decided to follow along, just to stop her husband from nearly tearing the couple apart.
“Oh, look at you two,” Yeon-Hee smiled as she drove, “such a cute pair!”
In all honesty, Yeon-Hee was surprised to learn that her son become friends with a daughter of her friend Ha-Jin. When the car arrived to the amusement park, Ju-Oh got off first and held Seol’s hand, in which she accepted with giggle.
“Oh, thank you gentlemen.” Seol said with smirk and Ju-Oh merely nodded. Little did they knew, her uncles in their black suit, sunglasses and hat were hiding to see them.
“Ohh, that punk…stealing my precious princess!” So-Ho growled.
“Easy, bro. They’re just kids.” Baek-Ahn said with nervous smile, bothered with So-Ho’s wolf-king aura.
“What are you doing?”
Wang brothers and Ha-Jin’s friends jumped in surprise as Yeon-Hee stood beside with questioning yet annoyed look.
“They are here to spy on our kids.” Ha-Jin replied on tired voice.
And Yeon-Hee found herself joining the group.
“Sheesh, our Seol’s too young to date! But they are so cute together.” Eun-Hyuk said.
“Oh Ju-Oh’s not the only one going gaga over your niece.” Yeon-Hee said in as-a-matter-of-fact tone.
“Excuse me?” So-Ho managed to speak.
“My nephew Chi-Yoon is in same class as Seol,” Ju-Oh’s mother replied, “and he once told me he has a crush on Seol.”
Wang brothers groaned as the girls were squealing.
“Ohh, someone’s popular~!” Seon-Duk screamed.
They were watching Seol and Ju-Oh rode on many rides. Most Wang brothers and So-Ho’s eyes grew darkened when they saw the couple was holding their hand. However, Ha-Jin and Yeon-Hee found a comparison within their kid. Compare to Seol’s cheerful attitude, Ju-Oh was considered to be less talkative. And his behavior somehow reminded all about a certain fourth prince when he was very young.
Ju-Oh and Seol was eating their ice-cream while sitting on the bench. The watchers all noticed Ju-Oh’s expression and Seol also become aware of it.
“What’s wrong?” Seol asked, concerned.
Ju-Oh seemed hesitant to say but he gathered his courage to tell.
“…I have been thinking…that ever since we met I have this feeling I know you long time ago…have we met before?” the boy asked, innocence filled in his voice.
Wang brothers were frozen. Unaware of them, the girls tried their best not to make any squealing sounds. So-Ho, Baek-Ahn, and Jung-In’s face tensed. Now that she think about it, Seol also had a same feeling when she met him for the first time.
“Well,…I have this crazy dream yesterday, about me got married to a prince…and this prince somehow looked just like you.”
Ju-Oh blushed. In honesty, he also had a same dream of him as a prince married to a beautiful girl who was strikingly resembled with Seol.
“Well…I know it’s weird but…it’s like my favorite fairytale my mom made for me,” Seol brought the book with pictures drawn and stories written by Ha-Jin, “here. We can read this all and keep out talk as a secret between us.”
He nodded his head. Then, two kids were on the small, squishy couch together and read a book together. Most of Wang brothers glared, dark aura of overprotectiveness looming over. Even Yo-Sub’s son Gyeong-Won grew this sister complex as he already formed a feeling of animosity towards the boy. All watchers noticed how Ju-Oh only focused on Seol as he was blushing.
“You know…, you don’t talk very much…,” Seol smiled widely then, “but I like ya!”
Jin-Mu and Eun-Hyuk “aww”ed as Myung-Ha and Yeon-Hee silently giggled. Chae-Yung and Seon-Duk almost squealed. Other Wang uncles and So-Ho’s face grew darkened, but a bit sorrowful.
“Oh noooo—!” Jung-In screamed, overreacting.
“Oh..kids…they grow up so fast…” Jae-Won sighed dramatically.
“Not fast enough though…” Sang-Wook corrected him.
Ju-Oh looked down, bashful at Seol’s words for he think he might have another dream again when he return to home and go to bed. The parade was about to begin and the small couple watched the show with sparkling eyes. The show was mainly about brave, beautiful girl become the prince’s bride, protecting her from evils. It was just like a same dream Ju-Oh and Seol dreamt.
Just like how they met.
Once upon a dream.
