WE AS A SOCIETY SLEEP TOO SOUNDLY ON THE FACT THAT KAI DID NOT WANT TO DIE 😭😭😭 HE LITERALLY SAID “I don’t want to die” TO OUR FACE 😭😭😭 AND YET HE STILL CHOSE TO COMMIT FOREVER BYE BYE BECAUSE HE WAS MORE DISGUSTED AT THE IDEA OF BEING CONTROLLED BY ASU-NARO THAN SCARED OF DEATH 😭😭😭 LIKE WE HAVE SNOOZED TO LOUDLY THAT THIS MAN WAS TERRIFIED OF DYING BUT WOULD RATHER DIE THAN LET ASU-NARO TAKE A W 😭😭😭 I KNOW NOBODY WANTED TO DIE BUT,,, SMTHN ABOUT KAI FACING HIS FEAR OF DEATH FOR THE SAKE OF RESISTANCE IS LIFE-ALTERING TO ME😭😭😭

FIGHT FOR THE ARTS AND CRAFTS!!!
FIGHT FOR THE LEGACY OF A CULTURE!!!
The book binders, the shoemakers, the secrets of fabric and wood. What will happen when all is automatized, what will happen if we grow far and far away from the things we use and do.
Fight to keep alive the legacy. The wisdom and knowledge macerated by generations. Someone has to carry the torch!

i have genuinely so many thoughts about how the book Lieutenant Hornblower was adapted and how most of the changes work, when accounting for the fact it must necessarily leave Bush's POV in order to work as television, and how those changes end up fucking over Bush's character in the movies, and how he was further pilfered by the series' decision to maintain characters like Styles and Kennedy. There is so much going on in there. Unfortunately, I don't yet own a copy of Lieutenant Hornblower, and having to constantly borrow it from my library is a faff and prevents me using post its to mark important passages. :(

June 23rd.
what's more, Jack started working there on the day that Dee would've turned 20.

today i am sad thinking about how billy didn't have a single person in his life who cared about him or looked after him. we can assume that neil stopped really being there for billy after his mom left, so he most likely became independent and stopped asking people for help once he realized his mom wasn't coming back. he started pushing people away and getting tougher to please his dad, when all he really wanted was for his mom to come back and for someone to hear him.
he had no one throughout possibly ten years of his life and died with the knowledge that no one cared enough to save him. he saved his mom from his dad as much as he could but she still abandoned him. he saved a town he hated but ended up dying for people who would later on barely acknowledge his existence and what he did for them. like oh my goodness this kid was so selfless.
he spent his entire life looking after people who didn't care enough about him to look after him in return. every time susan looked away from him when neil hit him, he probably felt so stupid and little and worthless. billy was a kid forced to be a caretaker before he could even enter his twenties, a caretaker for people who didn't care about him.

Will this chapter be enough for people who separate Shirakumo and Kurogiri to understand that the part of Kurogiri so many people love IS Oboro?

hi so so sorry if this sounds genuinely deranged but I need to know did you write a fanfiction in like 2014 that was set during ww2 where zoro from one piece was sent to a japanese internment camp and sanji went to conversion therapy I remembered it recently because it blew my mind at age 13 and I had to reread it + need a kind of where are they now with the author so if that's you 1) what's your stance on the fic today 2) how much of the research was done during writing and how much did you just know beforehand and used as inspo 3) did you have any ideas for where the other characters ended up because I did always wonder if like idk chopper overcame the trauma of being in the war and also just what usopp's situation would be in general what with the political climate. once again. if you didn't actually write this fic so sorry this must look like the ravings of a crazy person. godspeed
Hi. Uh, yeah I did write that fic. I would have been like only 17 at the time. I did do A LOT of research, like the fic was basically an excuse for me to research Japanese internment and WWII history in general bc I thought it was super fucked up. I was absolutely hyperfixated on the topic and my parents probably thought i was nuts for my ability to talk at length on this particular area of history. I just finished skim reading back through the fic and woof. What a bleak fucking story. I was very cruel to everyone. It's frustrating bc I think it's an interesting and compelling idea for a story. But to me it feels like: here is all the research I did and also characters talking in what feels like a too modern way. Plus, I was 17 and didnt understand people very well. I wish I had the energy and motivation to rewrite it. Although, I forgot I used to do song lyrics at the start of each chapter and the tonal dissonance of Owl City lyrics at the top of a chapter of harrowing events around the time of WWII is unfathomablly unhinged.

goddd botw makes me a little bit insane. link going through the story and meeting all of these people who use to know him. he doesn't remember. but they talk about him, "you used to train me!" "we were kids together" "I always looked up to you". they have lived a whole life while he's been asleep. he has not changed.

Considering how barren canon titan army content has been pretty much since tlo I know this isn't likely but Rick did say that an underutilised male character was going to make an appearance in the Solangelo book and it could totally be Ethan. The whole thing about Iapetus being dragged out of Tartarus in the Sword of Hades happened because of Ethan. He was the one who stole the sword and used it to get Iapetus/bob. He was the catalyst for it and now he's dead so he has a reason to be involved in underworld stuff. Rick and Mark would not need to stretch things too far to get an excuse for him being there and his addition would thematically tie the book back to the abandoned themes that were so important in the og books.
(Also Nemesis is a chthonic goddess with ties to the underworld so Ethan is technically an underworld kid. Let him have his nepo baby moment.)

i read through Everything about the au thus far and i gottsa ask.... what is UP with the WITHER CULT!!!!!!!
HI sorry I just woke up. Cracks knuckles.
SO the Wither Cult is actually something that's been around throughout generations technically with different intents and different methods, but when I refer to it I do typically mean the most recent iteration with White Eyes, which is a very.. interesting situation.
When White Eyes originally got out of the destroyed remains of the kingdom, there were other survivors, and her stoic attitude and mangled appearance made her somewhat of a legend within the small lasting communities. Seeing someone that should have been dead walking (sometimes with a similarly undead horse) among the living with glowing white eyes lead to a lot of theories, one of the most common being that she was a prophet of some sort, touched by the god of death and living to tell the tale. (Also in part with her modern nickname)
Due to this, a lot of people ended up following in her footsteps to create a safe haven within the dark oak woods just before the mountains. This is never something she asked of them, she never asked anything, but still somehow everything would fall into place. People will do anything to cling on to a semblance of hope.
Survivors and their descendants have come from all over the larger surrounding areas over the years to seek shelter, expanding the hideaway into the woodland mansion with time as we know it today throughout the years.
It's entirely self-sufficient, and everyone there is offered equal footing in terms of having free bedding, never having to worry about a meal, and of course the shelter itself. There are few conditions otherwise, but overall your best bet is just not to stray from the name of the beast.

I found myself watching the new live action ATLA and I was like omg this is such great set up for Zutara and their future dynamic !!!!!
And I got so caught up in the euphoria of my own Zutara thoughts that for like a minute I fully gaslit myself into believing that Zutara actually did happen and the live action was sowing the seeds for that relationship

maybe the extreme isolation of the characters in my writing is a reflection of the isolation and loneliness and alienation and lack of friends/family that i feel in my own life. who’s to say really
