In Doctor Who, it’s clear that what The Doctor regenerates out of is an important aspect of that Doctor’s personality. I think one of the best examples of this is the differences between 10 and 11, especially if you look at it from an angle of humanity. 10 was born out of love for Rose, and is one of the most human doctors because of it. 10 tries to be silly and lighthearted, but when things get serious; he apologizes, like a lot (There’s a bunch of compilations on YouTube if you need proof.) 10 is an embodiment of the conflict between The Doctor, the conflict of silly and dangerous, the conflict of war and hope, the conflict of secrecy and love. 11, on the other hand is the embodiment of The Doctor’s mindset, of him experiencing everything, everywhere, all at once, all the time. This (obviously) is not exactly very human. 11 is brilliant, one might even say fantastic (well, Nine might say fantastic, actually no, scratch that, Nine WOULD say fantastic!) but 11 is not humanoid (in how his brain works) at least at the beginning because he was born from solitude and regret and loneliness and pain. Even he acknowledges this; when he is poisoned by River Song and unable to regenerate, he asks the voice interface to turn into someone he loves (the default being himself) and it turns into Rose. Of course it turns into Rose. The Doctor exclaims “no! guilt!” and it turns to Martha. “no! more guilt!” so it turns into Donna, and again he says “guilt” because that’s all he knows of Rose, and Martha, and Donna. The guilt he was born from was about them, and so of course that’s his instinct feeling! The journey of every doctor is to come to peace with the emotion they were born of. Ten is born out of love, but in a sense the love is immature and selfish. Ten dies IN solitude, but Ten dies OUT of selfless love. Love for Wilfred, love for Donna, love for the world. Eleven carries on the solitude, and eventually comes to peace with that solitude from which he was born, and in turn dies in hope.
I went all my life (until recently) never seeing a Star Wars or a Star Trek. It's kind of weird because I love science fiction and space but I just watched documentaries and read books idk 🥹
Anyways back to the point, as someone who went my whole life having 2 fandoms tell me to join... I finally have an answer.
Star Wars is way overhyped, I could for real go the rest of my life without watching again (I am so sorry, my bf with 2 Star Wars tattoos)
Star Trek is where it's at; it's so trippy and weird but everything makes sense and it just makes my mind go AAAAAHHH!!! I DEFINITELY SEE why that show invented fandom and popularized fanfics because oh my goddd I've only seen 2 episodes and I could honestly just watch them again tomorrow and be fine! I'm making up s c e n a r i o s based on these weird little planets. I love u star trek, it's like ive missed you my whole life. For those wondering- since I am a completionist type person, I am starting with the original series.
Heyyy, Madoka! How are you doing? I hope you’re doing alright! It’s been a while since we heard from you after all!
Take care!! <3
oh yeah… im good just busy with school and taking care of my little brother …
sorry I’ve just been a little down the past few days.. I feel like something is wrong but everything is so perfect rn.. I’ve got great friends and a nice live but sometimes just feels off…
have you ever played the psychonauts games? seems like something that might be up your alley
I've read a bunch of stuff from the wiki for the first one a long time ago. it fell under 'media that sets off a panic attack' for me. Though i cant actually remember why anymore
please consider this as a love letter fan letter written on parchment paper in elegant script (definitely not how my actual handwriting looks, but we're pretending!)
Your art is gorgeous and you've been churning out hit after hit of such lovingly rendered ideas. They're all so soft and tender like the love just bleeds into and back out of the digital page 🥺 It's seriously making my entire month. Every time I see a new piece drop I get so excited and tags alone just don't do it enough justice. Real squealing and gasps of delight and a rush to reblog 🩵
I hope you're having just as much fun making all of these. Have such a good day~
Thank you so much 😭 It's so nice having people like my silly saigenos ideas and I do enjoy making them alot
The tags are also very appreciated ! I read each one (with a similar reaction)💕
Guess who finally got around to watching the whole of the twilight saga? This is past the point where I am going to be scouting for all of the intellectual conversation on twighlight and reblogging. Smeyer is a weird lady, but she has built an interesting trope pool to enjoy so I'm going to run along the good points of it.
Adler / bell, strangers they meet while they’re on a shelter trying to adopt a cat 🐱
Writing Bell as the second person to keep it G/N
You poked your finger through the cage as the tiny calico curiously sniffed your finger and begins nuzzling your hand as it purrs contentedly.
"I'll take this one," You say, and at the same time, a deep voice just behind you echoes you. You turned and are struck by the handsome man in a leather jacket and aviator glasses. He looked like a movie star, except for a long scar spidering across half of his face. He's pointing not to your cat because she is your cat now, you've decided, but to the other cat in the cage with her.
The man looks at you up and down, sending a thrill through you. You see the shelter attendants exchange looks from the corner of your eye.
"I'm sorry, but they're a bonded pair."
The calico nuzzled your finger again and let out a soft meow.
"Hmm, looks like we're going to have to figure something out," The man said.
