THE ELEVATOR ଓ｡˚.CL16 (part2)

part1 here for this. pairing: charles leclerc x fem!reader summary: when the elevator becomes cupid.

In this house, we worshipped taylor swift. After all, I took the 26th floor for a reason (13 x 2). And as Mother once said, there is nothing I do better than revenge.

I knew I was overreacting to the whole situation but then again as Conan Gray once said I love being dramatic because why would you ever deal with an emotion in a logical way when you could have the option of absolutely losing your mind. And to top it off, it was Charles Leclerc and I obviously needed a better reason to make him remember me rather than just a neighbour.

To get to know him better I looked into the F1 timetable and tried to seek long breaks where he could be home because I didn't want to make a fool out of myself when he wasn't even present to witness it. I mean why do something worth remembering when there isn't an audience. He was in Spain at the moment apparently and may be back after 2 weeks. So I had 14 days to think of something extravagant. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

A week passed and I still did not have my plan and that was devastating for me so I took comfort in the only movie I could and what a decision that was.

The movie 'Set It Up' was a masterpiece. Glen Powell? amazing. Zoey Deutch? powerful. The trope? scrumptidumptilicious. It was my comfort movie and thereby became my ultimate power move. There is this specific elevator scene where they break down the elevator so that these two people could get to know each other. What if I did the same? What if I asked someone to stop the elevator when we were in it and then I could act as if I was scared of elevators and freak him out. So cruel but then again so memorable. You would never forget someone who was having a full-ass tantrum in a close confined space with you. This was it. This was my final asshole moment.

Now all I needed was someone who was good with these things. I couldn't ask the building operator after all because they wouldn't understand me. But then again no one would willingly do that to their idol now would they? So I needed help and where to find it better than your friend.

Maya was let's say, an evil mastermind with a heart of platinum. I met her the day I joined my new office. She was my deskmate and I've never been more grateful for anything than that. Maybe my apartment but eh. She took the liberty to show me around Monaco. She also had a curious amount of exes and she had this weird power to get them to do all the work. One minute they're a mess, the next they're thanking her for the best time of their lives. So I knew I needed her to execute this plan.

"Oh my god girl where have you been? We haven't seen each other in like weeks now." It was true, I skipped the office last week for my master plan. "I need your help with something way outta pocket." "At this point, nothing is way outta pocket for me so just speak up." I needed to convince her because she knew who Charles was. So I told her the whole story and my plan and her response had me gobsmacked. "That's it? You want me to help you get a boyfriend?"

"Wrong. Not a boyfriend. I don't even know what just help me will you?" So she got an electrician sort of and we gave him a hefty amount so that he could keep his mouth shut. This sounds like something illegal but it's not...right? Next, I just had to set my timing right. He had to be present on the day I hoped he did. But then again if things worked like that, everyone would be living a merry life.

It was a few days later that I heard the noises again. From his apartment. Perfect. I tried to note down all the times he left his house but it was very hard because he was as stealthy as a cat unfortunately. One midnight tho changed everything. I was in my living room doing my work when I heard a loud thud and a string of 'shit, fuck, merde' and I knew I had my cat in the bag. Turned out he left his home between 1 and 2 every day so now my plan was on the table and in the works. It was all going to go down tomorrow night.

I called Maya to let her know when we needed the electrician. The plan was simple. When I would see Charles leaving, I would leave to with an excuse and sneak past him and above so that I could get the lift before him. The lift would then stop for him and we would be together until the 20th floor and then bam. A non-functioning elevator. Then I'll do what I needed to do. This was it. This was going to be the d-day.

Glen Powell freaks out when he finds out he is a pred. He just patted his buddy on the back and they got sucked in through his hand like a vaccuum and are now kicking to get out of Glen’s belly.

He needs to take a special medicine to vomit out his friends until he figures out how to do it himselfself.

World Series: Astros vs Phillies

Part 3 of DODGERS V.S. PHILLIES BABY!!!

Pairing: Miles Teller x Fem!Reader

Chapter Summary: After Glen Powell commented on your post you guys set up a date to go watch the first game of the World Series at the Astros Stadium.

Warnings: JUST FLUFF Y'ALL

Word Count: 1436

A/N: BEFORE Y'ALL COME AT ME, I respect Miles and Keleigh's relationship and marriage. THEY ARE RELATIONSHIP GOALS!!!! I wanted to write this because I love Miles and baseball. If you feel this isn't for you, please don't read it.

A/N 2: PLEASE DON'T COME AT ME FOR PUTTING GLEN WITH THE ASTROS!! I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE ASTROS BECAUSE THEY'RE CHEATERS AND THEY'RE TRASH!! The only reason why I put Glen with the Astros was that he's from Texas.

"Hey, Babe. Guess who just commented on my post?" You look at Miles and show him your post.

"GLEN FREAKING POWELL. THAT SON OF A GUN!!" You laugh a little at Miles's reaction. "We should go watch it with him. Let's FaceTime to see if he's awake."

As Miles gets his phone from his nightside table, he opens his phone and goes through his contacts, and finds Glen Powell. He then clicks on FaceTime and waits for him to answer. "Hopefully he answers-"

"MR MILES TELLER!!! How are you, buddy? What's the reason you're calling me at this hour?" Glen says with his famous smile. He knows exactly why he's calling him.

"Doing good. I saw that you commented on my lady's Instagram post." He looks at you and then looks at Glen. "So do you want to watch the first game of the World Series together?"

"Yeah, I would love to. It could be a double date with my girl too." He gets up from where he was sitting at then goes to find his girl. "Hey, Sam. What are you going?"

Glen sees Sam finishing cleaning the dishes when he finds her. "I just finished cleaning. What's up?" He then faces the phone to them and they see Miles and Y/N on the screen. "Hi Miles. Hi Y/N. Long time no see!"

Y/N takes Miles's phone to go talk to Sam. "Hi, Sam! I know. We haven't seen each other in so long. How are you?"

"I’m doing good. Just finished cleaning. How are you guys? Why are you guys calling at this hour?” Sam asks them. With Glen in Texas and you guys in Philadelphia, the time difference was 1 hour.

“We’re doing good, just got back from the Phillies game. I posted a photo of me and Miles at the game on Instagram and Glen decided to comment on that post. So we were wondering if you guys want to watch the 1st game of the World Series?” Y/N explains to Sam why they’re calling at this hour.

Sam looks at Glen and he gives them a smirk. “Well I have nothing going on next week. It’s usually Glen’s schedule that’s difficult to make plans.” Sam explains to the couple on FaceTime.

“Let me go email my assistant and see if I have anything scheduled this week.” Glen gives Sam the phone so he can email his assistant on the computer.

“Who’s playing at the World Series this year? Sorry I don’t really know baseball” Sam asks Y/N as she sits on the couch.

“Astros vs Phillies. The first game is in Texas so we’re going to have a mini vacation over there for the weekend.” Y/N tells Sam the plan.

“That’s nice. You guys deserve it.” As Sam says that Glen walks in and sits next to them. “So what did your assistant say?”

“She said I’m not busy that day so that’s perfect.” Glen says happily.

“Yay. I’m so excited.” Y/N says until she yawns. “Sorry I’m just tired.”

“It’s okay. We should let you go. You’ve had a long night at the game.” Sam says as they see you yawn more.

“Well goodnight guys. See you when the Astros win at the game.” Glen says with his famous smirk.

Miles laughs when Glen says that, “Haha you wish. See you when the Phillies win.”

After they say goodbye, you and Miles go to sleep.

A Week Later

It’s been a week since you guys FaceTimed Glen and Sam. You guys texted each other during the week and said to meet each other at the stadium.

You and Miles arrive at the stadium in your limousine. Miles was wearing his all-out Phillies outfit while you wore a simple outfit with a Phillies hat. You may love your boyfriend but the only Phillies you are going to wear is your hat.

“Are you ready sugar?” Miles asks you.

“Ready as I’ll ever be Hot Stuff.” You kiss Miles and he opens the door and gets out of the car first. He gets out of the car, takes your hand and leads you out of the car and into the stadium.

“You okay sugar?” He says while you walk to your seats. You nod yes as you guys walk to you find your seats.

As you find your seats you see Glen and Sam. Glen was wearing an all-Texan outfit while Sam was wearing a simple outfit.

“Hey y’all!” Glen says as he gets up and hugs you guys. After you hug him you guys hug Sam. “So glad we get to spend time together.”

“I know,” Miles says to Glen as he helps you sit right next to Sam.

“How are you doing Sam?” You ask them.

“Doing good. There’s a lot of people here.” Sam says to Y/N.

“Oh yeah there’s always a lot of people especially during the World Series. But that’s the normal at Dodgers Stadium.” You laugh a little when you mention the Dodgers. “I never imagined myself wearing a Phillies hat one day.”

“I don’t know much about baseball except what you post on Instagram about the Dodgers," Sam tells Y/N.

While you and Sam were talking you hear Glen say something about girls liking sports to Miles. "You know guys like girls who like sports."

"That's true. That's why I fell in love with Y/N at the wedding we went to. She was watching the Dodgers vs Angels game." Miles tells Glen why how he fell in love with you.

Y/N butts her head into the conversation. "I'm surprised you remember that Hot Stuff considering you were drunk and was dancing to Single Ladies."

"I remember a tiny bit from that night but I knew you were the one when you went to a Phillies game with me the next day." He smiles at you and then looks back at Glen. "I agree with you Glen."

"Are you kidding me?"

Glen looks at Sam who just said that. "They do Sam."

"Guys think they like girls who like sports but they actually like is a girl in a very tight sports jersey serving them wings and getting the terminology wrong. Guys like girls who like guys who like sports. That's why I love you, Glen." Sam tells Glen and the couple.

"That's also true too," Glen smirks at Sam. "Love you, Sam." He then gives them a kiss.

FIRST ANNOUNCER: WELCOME TO THE FIRST GAME OF THE WORLD SERIES, EVERYONE!!! THE TEAMS WE HAVE TONIGHT ARE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES *the Phillies fans cheer* AND THE HOUSTON ASTROS *the Astros fans cheer*

SECOND ANNOUNCER: We have some special celebrity guests in the stadium tonight. MILES TELLER AND GLEN POWELL FROM TOP GUN MAVERICK!!! *the crowd cheers and Danger Zone plays in the stadium*

The stadium cameras point to Glen and Miles and they stand up. A staff member goes to where they’re sitting at and gives them microphones.

“Hey y’all who’s ready for the Astros to win!!!” Glen speaks through the microphone. The whole crowd of Astros fans start cheering.

“Nah this can’t be happening. Who’s ready for the Phillies to win!!!” Miles says through the microphone and the section of Phillies fans start cheering. They were louder than the Astros fans.

“It sounds to me that the Phillies fans are louder than the Astros.” Y/N says to Miles and he smiles at you.

Glen and Miles looks at each and then say this together. “Who’s ready to play ball!?”

Tenth Inning

It was the tenth inning, the Phillies and Astros were tied 5-5. You guys were nervous until J.T. Realmuto capped off the comeback win in the 10th inning. All the Phillies fans including you and Miles were cheering; Glen however wasn’t.

Sam was hugging him as he was eating his Dip in Dots in sadness. Sam may not know how big this was to him but they knew their comfort was needed right now.

“It’s okay Glen. There’s always the next game.” Glen looks at Sam and gives them a smile.

“Hey, are you guys doing good?” Miles asks once the crowd started to die down and was leaving.

“Doing okay. Let’s get out of here and go eat?" Glen asks the group and they say yes.

After leaving the stadium you guys go to a classic Texas barbecue restaurant and had the best time of your life.

UT Grad- Glen Powell Imagine

A/N: Based on Glen speaking at Moody College Graduation 😍

The week before graduation, we were sent an email stating our keynote speaker at our college graduation would be Glen Powell. I couldn’t believe it. I called my best friend almost immediately, freaking out and being sure she was going to be there so we could both see him. When graduation day came, I was struggling to stay calm. Glen was one of my celebrity crushes and I didn’t know how I would handle being a few feet from him. I think my adrenaline must’ve been pumping all day. I had my hair curled near perfectly and my heels on with my dress. My mom tried not to cry as she helped me into my cap and gown, as everyone in my family is UT Alumni and I’m the baby of the family. We got lined up for the ceremony and I took selfies with my friends before we walked in to be seated. I was on an aisle seat thank goodness so I wasn’t squished between people. After we were seated, they did the staff processional and Glen was the center of attention even though he tried hard to blend in. As he walked by, he waved at everyone and I tried hard to keep my composure when I saw him. My friends that sat around me smirked at me when he waved at me, nodding his head slightly and continuing to walk. It was a casual hello but my knees almost gave out. His smile, his dimples, his love for home, it’s almost like he couldn’t help but draw me in.

We were about a third of the way through the ceremony when it was time for me to walk up to the stage. I made my way forward and followed behind each classmate. I clapped or silently smiled after each name, knowing how hard the work was to get here. I had double majored in journalism and film, along with several others in my class. A few people before me, I noticed that people were going up to shake his hand or hug him, I wanted to so bad but didn’t think I could. I decided that I would just wave as I passed and focus on walking. I was the next person up and gave the professor my card with my name on it. She announced it and I took a deep breath, smiling as I took a step forward, about two steps in, my heel caught on my gown and I face planted onto the ground with a thud. I heard the gasps and clamoring to see if I was okay. I was holding back tears as I tried to get myself up. Suddenly there was a hand out in front of me. I didn’t even look up, I took it quick, using it as leverage to hoist myself back up onto shaky legs. I felt two hands land on my upper arms and a southern drawl rang out, “you ok? That was a hard fall.” I looked up to see Glen looking down at me with those handsome hazel eyes. “Uh- uh- I’m fine. Thanks for the help!” I gave him my smile and he turned, letting me pass him to get my diploma and get back to my seat. When I went to sit, my friends sitting near me laughed at my expense and I laughed with them, sinking down in my chair to hide my embarrassment.

After Glen gave his speech, and the ceremony was over, we were all able to see him at the ceremony after party. Our friends and family were there to spend time with us and congratulate us. He insisted on staying and congratulating all of us. I was talking to my mom when I saw him approaching from the side. “Sorry to interrupt, just wanted to be sure you’re feeling okay. You took quite a spill up there!” My mom must’ve noticed the blush on my face because she scooted closer, introducing herself and shaking his hand. They both looked at me waiting for an answer. “Yeah, I’m fine. I’m sure I’ll feel it tomorrow but for now I’m okay.” He just nodded, and my mom cut in, asking for a photo of us. He draped a hand around my waist, smiling as my mom took the picture. He pulled me in for a hug soon after and I squeezed him tightly and we separated. “Can I take you and your parents to dinner tonight? I’d love to do it as a graduation gift!” I nodded, and he held his hand out for my phone. I gave it to him, and he put his number in, texting himself. “See you in a few hours!” He gave me on of his big Texas smiles and walked to his sister. I’ve never been more shocked in my life but was thankful that I get the opportunity to meet him.

The Fall Guy (2024) review

Reynolds is Free Guy. Gosling is Fall Guy. These Ryans are just such guys!!

Plot: After leaving the business one year earlier, battle-scarred stuntman Colt Seavers springs back into action when the star of a big studio movie suddenly disappears. As the mystery surrounding the missing actor deepens, Colt soon finds himself ensnared in a sinister plot that pushes him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt.

Ryan Gosling needs to do more comedies. Whether he’s the charming womaniser in Crazy, Stupid, Love, a bumbling private eye in The Nice Guys, a Wall Street snob in The Big Short or finding his inner Kenergy in Barbie, the dude’s got jokes. Not taking away anything from his stoic tortured turns in Drive and Blade Runner 2049, but I’m really enjoying this current Gosling trend of embracing the funny guy persona, as he’s easily a bonafide comedic star. His new studio vehicle The Fall Guy is yet another breezy, light-hearted entertainment given life by Gosling and co-star’s Emily Blunt’s wry comic timing.

Coming to us from director David Leitch, who’s had great success with action films the likes of John Wick and Bullet Train, he delivers here a true love-letter to the craft of stuntmen, with the crazy risks they take and how much work goes behind creating that spectacular action shot that is then seemlessly enjoyed by audiences on the big screen. And there are truly some incredible stunts showcased throughout this movie, and most of it being fully practical with only the smallest amount of CGI used. Its top notch action, with flawless camera work and some great cinematography that pays respect and also pokes fun at certain filmmaking techniques and cliches with a certain memorable sequence involving a very well choreographed split-screen scene. This boosted by a great soundtrack that includes a solid dose of Taylor Swift, I mean it’s perfect early summer blockbuster fun.

The plot is suitably nonsense (as fitting given its 1980s TV origins). Don't think too hard about it. If you ponder questions such as: what about the other witnesses? Can you recover from a broken back to that extent in 18 months? Would he have reported a crime that he was being framed for? When he goes through real windscreens, falls long distances onto hard surfaces, etc., how does he not break any bones? And so on.... well, it will spoil your fun. You can really easily knit-pick the hell out of this movie, but I’m sorry, I’m too busy listening to Ryan Gosling throwing one liners like “I’m gonna beat the shit out of him” multiple times to care for any logic or narrative prowess.

Speaking of Gosling, him and Blunt are the primary reason to see The Fall Guy. These two are both hilarious with their timing and delivery, however more-so they share this incredible chemistry that reminded me a lot of romantic comedies of the early 2000s, and it was truly delightful seeing a real rom-com that’s actually good in 2024! Honestly, even in moments of no dialogue, just when they're looking at each other, you'll know well enough they’re holding back so hard to not just snog the living skin off one another. Like these two want to bang. People were freaking over Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney last year, well they can move over as Gosling and Blunt are now the new power couple! My apologies to their real life partners John Krasinski and Eva Mendes.

Look, The Fall Guy is in no way a masterpiece, but it’s super enjoyable and such a delightful watch where everyone is having a fantastic time. Shout out to other cast members Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hannah Waddingham and Winston Duke all on top form. If you want an easy watch and a perfect date movie - you know what to do. As for me, I just really need Ryan Gosling to play a cool, down-bad simp every year in order to live.

Overall score: 7/10
