I really gotta say the Totodile line is really amazing.

They are versatile on land and in the water, great for traversal and combat, too.

They are also excellent for emergency rescue situations like deep sea, car, and building wreckage as well.

They have one of the most powerful bites around, and they are ultimately great partners.

There are so many incredible water types, but this line stands out to me quite a bit.

For your Chimera!Ling AU, how does Ling wind up becoming a Chimera?

Glad you asked! lol

Ling ends up being a candidate to experiment on after he’s been arrested. Since he’s just some illegal alien to them, they see no harm in changing this guy into a chimera.

So they pair him up with a fennec fox, turn him into a chimera, and throw him in another cell. He does still escape with Barry and Ross from the jail after this happens.

Big surprise for everyone who didn’t know where Ling went before this!

I just asked about tags but don't think I made it clear, literally how do you tag things? What is the difference between a tag and a comment? That's the language barrier that I don't understand. I'm also very afraid I'm coming across as hostile and I want to assure you this is entirely in earnest! I want to tumblr better please!

You didn't come across as hostile at all, anon! I understand the confusion. So let me try to explain. On most posts you can do three things: comment, use tags, and add to a reblog. I made a screenshot:

You can reblog and put your thoughts or a picture, or whatever under the original post. Sometimes you see like conversations happening on the post. If you put it in a reblog, everyone can see it - if that particular version is reblogged. You can also comment on a post - that is probably the same as on any other site.

Now the tags! They're meant to help you organize your blog but that doesn't really work as well as it should. Or at all. The fun thing about tags is that they're optional. You can say whatever you want down there! People can choose to read or ignore them. They don't appear *on* the post so you're not changing anything. They're like a running commentary of your thoughts. It's for you and your followers.

Did that help at all? You use tags by reblogging and then it tells you something like "add tags". You write whatever you want and put a comma to separate your thoughts. Putting a comma will start a new tag.

Do you any more takes on Carlos being a Madrigal?

I sure do, I'm writing a whole fic!

Carlos had no idea who his father was for a very long time. That's because marriages are not registered on the Isle but also because Cruella forbade everyone to tell Carlos anything about his father, name included (no one talks about Bruno, no matter the universe he's in, poor man). The only thing he knew was that his father had been chased out of Hell Hall at some point and never came back. He doesn't know Bruno actually never left but hid in Hell Hall's secret passageways and stuff, just to take care of him in secret.

Carlos, as the Disney prince(ss) he is, is beloved by pets, in particular, his cat Beelzebub and Bruno's rats have an agreement only for his sake. It's more a truce than else, but they work together to make sure Bruno knows things and can help when Carlos is in a pinch. Dude will be included in the loop, at some point, once Beebs will stop being jealous, and Dude won't bark at all of them anymore.

Carlos is touch-starved, Bruno is even more so, meaning that once they are officially reunited they end up being rather affectionate with each other. Ruffled hair, pats on the back, side hugs, full hugs, anything goes. Evie thinks it's cute, the VKs, in general, are a bit envious, until Bruno figures out and starts doting on them too (except for Mal, Hades is a jealous dad and Bruno likes to be alive, so Mal is the one who has to start any contact).

When it comes the time to meet the Madrigals, Carlos is worried he won't fit in, and this never quite goes away, even years later. He goes along with them as well as he does with Diego and his other de Vil relatives, if not more, but it's not enough to make him move to Encanto for good.

Among his aunts and uncles, his favorite is Julieta: she's everything he imagined a good mom would be and she dotes on him a lot, even more so after she finds out about the kind of childhood he had. He likes Pepa too, but her temper reminds him a bit too much of Cruella's at times, with the added malus of the thundering, which scares him. His second favorite is Felix, for the sole reason he's sunshine incarnate and he can calm down or make smile everyone, two things Carlos desperately needed.

Among the cousins, Mirabel is the one he's closest to (they bond a lot in the fic), the second is Antonio (they bond a lot over animals and being the youngest in the family).

His relationship with Abuela is complicated at best, they both are aware that the lost time can never come back and they have a hard time understanding each other at times, although they try. Abuela hates that Cruella manipulated Bruno and Carlos to the point of making them so nervous with people (more than they'd naturally be) and sees some of her own faults mirrored in it, Carlos sees she tries to fix her mistakes and is a lot more forgiving than he is with his mother. Also, knowing Abuela's sometimes hard personality comes from trauma, he starts to try to figure out what went wrong with his own mother (that could be a fic on its own, now that I think about it).

He won't stay to live in Encanto, although after the rebuilding he'll have his own room there. He'll come back often enough, though, every summer at least (I refuse to acknowledge Carlos' canon death or anything after D3. Actually, D3 is on thin ice too). Since he becomes a veterinarian, with a side specialization/hobby in inventing machinery for pet care, he has his own studio in Encanto. Antonio will follow in his footsteps and will become a vet too, taking over the studio when Carlos isn't there.

Abuela wanted to meet Jane as soon as she heard of her. It was very awkward at first, Jane was a nervous wreck and couldn't talk much, which didn't leave a good first impression, the one who helped the most was Camilo, who started making jokes and impressions until Jane laughed and calmed down enough for the things to flow. Carlos will be eternally grateful to Camilo for it.

Cruella will never ever set foot in Encanto and it's better this way. Pepa would kill her if she did, all the Madrigals were so horrified by how she treated Bruno and Carlos that they hate her without even needing to meet her.

The de Vil cousins and the Madrigal kids get along like a house on fire. Literally, Ivy and Isabela almost set Casita on fire. They claim it was an accident, Hunter and Dolores know better, Carlos pretends he has no idea, Camilo actually has it all on camera and would have used it as blackmail if Luisa had not deleted it all.

alone: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?

Oh boy, before the start of the game she was dealing with such loneliness and major depression that she had many suicidal ideations. That’s essentially what had her returning to the Devil’s Den to see Raphael so often.

After the woman she had feelings for got her own life together and met someone, Nym kept coming back to Raphael for lanceboard, wine, and philosophical discussions. She was seriously contemplating just letting him have her soul on the condition that he devour it so she doesn’t ever have to exist again.

Before she met him, she dealt with her loneliness through sex and ONS. She also did a lot of drugs to get high. Basically anything that would distract that gaping void inside her where she felt numb and in pain (both mental and physical).

She kept herself busy through her job as an entertainer or through the cult stuff with Bhaal. She just did what the cult wanted but at least it kept her distracted (and I headcanon the white dragonborn Durge also existed and was the leader at the time before she and Orin shanked him).

She’s felt and has been alone since her father’s death as a child. The man who bought her from the debt collector kept her hidden beneath his estate and she lived in a cell for 4 years in utter darkness before she escaped and was found by the cult.

If no one is around, she just gets high and stares into the middle distant for hours. Sometimes she’ll even cry before she pulls herself together and continues forward with whatever people want from her.

desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire?Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

To not feel so dead inside, to stop feeling both numb and in constant agony of her existence. Before the events of the game, she really thought about just surrendering to Raphael (she was aware he wanted her soul, this is before he’s canonically obsessed with Tav/Durge though so was just viewing her like another client). Some part of her clung to life though, which is why she never went through it but also she hadn’t been back to see him after she and Gortash stole the crown through his home.

She never hid that desire around Raphael though and he was well aware that he just had to patient (initially). Fate had other plans though.

Now however, her desire is to live and to heal. She has kids to look after, she finds love with Astarion, and she has a new type of relationship with Raphael. She’s ready to move forward and start anew.

guilt: What is your OC guilty about? How do they handle their guilt? Do they try to avoid guilt, or do they accept it?

She has major survivors guilt for one thing. Her father (her favorite person) had died protecting her. She also feels some guilt (though she buries it) over killing the kids of the man who held her captive. When she escaped, she was in a blood rage and murdered every soul in the estate, including his kids. She was still a kid herself (14) but it haunts her a bit.

She’s got a soft spot for kids and giving her Durge lifestyle, doesn’t feel good whenever kids get caught in the crossfire, or making kids into orphans. But that’s what drugs and compartmentalizing is for.

When she murders Quil in the game, she’s not entirely sure what happened and feels a measure of guilt there and tried to hide evidence of her involvement. She didn’t hide the body but she washed the blood off of herself and told the group (technically truthfully) that she didn’t see anything that night when they ask her if she was involved.

She’s very good at mental compartmentalization overall though.

okay so the au i have the least on but want to develop the most is the trans girl Link au where she and Zelda go live with the Gerudo, it would give me the opportunity to put my own spin on Gerudo culture and stuff like that (bc we all know they're handled pretty badly in canon and I think it would be neat to fix it, and I am heavily on the side of the Gerudo being one of the most magically gifted groups in post-age of myth Hyrule. I would love to just sit down and brainstorm stuff about them but idk I kinda need a reason too lol)

I know I wouldn't be the best person to completely rewrite Gerudo culture (I am white) but I am well aware of what there is to get mad about when it comes to canon and what not to do generally, and I love worldbuilding and developing magic systems and stuff like that. I have the most personal insight on the gender aspect of their whole thing and I want to make it gayer and less cishet male-gaze-y. Honestly, I'm not sure where to start on that, but it interests me greatly.

another set of AU's I am currently obsessed with are my totk role swap AU's. Which I have condensed into two, my Sage of Spirit Link AU, where Link gets sent to the past with a secret stone, gets their arm amputated, and studies under Mineru to develop their spiritual powers and get all dragoned.

And my Sage of Time Link AU (combined with my Sonia/Rauru swap au) where Link works on his time power under Rauru who gets fridged and makes Sonia the Queen of Light (I am drawing her redesign rn actually) and Link gets the classic fairytale princess treatment of falling into a magical coma to heal the master sword and live long enough to meet up with Zelda in the present, and yes, he does have to be kissed awake (I am writing it right now). Because I wanted an au where Sonia wasn't just a plot device for Rauru and I thought an AU where Link gets to (eventually) fight alongside Zelda like a co-op game, would be neat. That also means that Zelda gets to hang out with the ghost of Sonia a lot and get all the cool Zonai powers alongside learning the different magic from the other sages.

I'm also thinking a lot about a Cinderella Zelink AU for a writing prompt that I'm getting way too into (FYI Link is the Cinderella in this au) there's just something about a classic fairytale moment being gender-swapped that really gets me kicking my legs and drawing hearts in my diary yk?

this might be a weird question but i read your smut sometimes, so i’m just interested in whether or not you envision the characters you write about to be circumcised or not? obviously this only applies to the characters with penises because it’s a more prevalent practice. i know in the EU very few males are circumcised and it’s more popular in other countries so i was just curious i guess ? you don’t have to answer if you don’t want, but thank you for your time!

Yeah so I pretty much always imagine them uncut because it’s so rare here. I think I only know one guy that’s cut and that’s bc he’s from a Jewish family and that’s traditional for them (unless I’m mistaken). For sure I always imagine British characters uncut, but with American ones I only imagine it that way bc I’ve never seen a cut dick before lol

He’s a knight of Hyrule, one of Zelda’s closest friends. Long story short, he ends up basically being taken over by dark magic (by Vaati, who’s the villain here), and Zelda is actively being hunted by him while she attempts to locate the six sages in order to free him and stop Vaati.

He does not have a good time over the course of the “game”, and neither does Zelda. You fight him multiple tumes over the course of the whole thing too, think the ghirahim fights in sksw.

But yeah he’s my boy and I love him so <3

So, I hope this is okay to ask, but, what first drew you to fanfic as a whole? What was the first fandom/s you became invested in to give it a try? And what inspired you to begin creating your own pieces of work? No worries if you’d rather not say! And I hope you have a lovely day/night regardless.

GREAT question and I answer with some shame in my heart my first fics were Johnlock, written after I watched s1-3 and before s4 came and spat in everyone’s face with poor writing and the worst queerbait I have seen to date.

I think what draws us to fanfiction is filling in the holes left by the creators, emotional holes, plot holes, missing scenes, inexplicable actions, potential what-if timelines, (and my personal fav) missed potential. That’s certainly what got me! I wrote like 10 fics for the tv show “the gifted” just bc the show had a budget of $9.30 and none of that went to writing. A lot of the fics I write are just me going “no. Fuck off. Ur wrong. I can do it better” 😂😂😂 fanfic also gave me a space to feel more seen when I realized I was queer with little to no rep in 2015.

As far as my own work, that started wayyyyy earlier back when I was like 10. Wrote my first book (don’t ask. It sucked. I’m rewriting it slowly but surely). And I never stopped writing! It was definitely a form of dissociation at first, but it’s grown to be a career and the loml 💕💕 as far as the why, I guess I just love character creating and worldbuilding???? Idk ask a fish why it swims. I can tell u what inspired each of my individual works, but I couldnt tell u why writing in general?

this isn’t a gossip/tea question so I hope you don’t mind me asking you this, what would you say is some of the not so obvious culture differences between Hong Kong and the Western world? My friend is moving over to Hong Kong soon to work and I feel like she not really preparing herself correctly if you get what I mean?

Hmmmm Hong Kong is definitely much more influenced by western culture than most of the east asian countries. But I would say it’s important for anyone who plans to move there, especially if you didn’t grow up with east asian values, to understand confucian ethics and virtues. Specifically filial piety. Hong Kong is very different from the mainland, but the importance of filial piety remains the same. It’s not just within how you treat your family, but society in general. Make sure to remember individualist attitude is frowned upon as Hong Konger value collectivism. Be very careful to respect the idea of society and family and have respect for the elderly. Also how you dress and present yourself is very important in Hong Kong. If you think the west values appearance, in Hong Kong even more as that shows your education, intellect, breeding, and status. Showing you’re well-educated is very important there and it can make a difference how people will treat you.

I don’t know if that’s what you wanted, but I think as long as your friend knows how to understand and respect ones culture she’ll be fine. Hong Kong as a business sector mostly values loyalty and work ethic.

I'm not up to date on the Pokemon anime and tried researching Sidian, but there's not a whole lot out there about his personality or what he does. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to say I don't know enough about him! But, if you can find videos referencing him/his character, I'm not opposed to learning new characters and trying to write them as accurately as I can manage :-) I do however have some familiarity with Spiderman! It's been a while since I've seen those movies, so I might have to rewatch 'em if you were hoping for something super accurate, but I'm not opposed!
