I'm going to a retro-themed furry con in a couple weeks, which has sent me hurtling down a nostalgia rabbithole (badum-ch) to my childhood fav Jazz Jackrabbit.

We didn't have any gaming consoles when I was a kid but my Dad had computers for work and a few DOS games. Jazz Jackrabbit was the first game I was allowed to pick out at the store myself. :')

Crona with their wings! Their flight skills could use a little work cause they’re sorta fresh out the crysilis but that’s okay! Their friends help them out. Even though most dragons fly very differently than the silk and hivewings. Cronas wings are based on the pink glass butterfly and the pearleye (as pictured above)

Flight on their own is much nicer than being dragged around by ragnarok

Silkwings don’t have black but either the black blood or hivewing stuff from ragnarok bled into their wings for the eyespots

Inktober 2021 - Day 1 - 'Crystal' STAR BONUS

So this year, I plan to make my bonus picture a 'wish for a star' based one. I started doing bonus pictures for Inktober as some prompt gave me loads of ideas, so I'd do multiple pictures. Then one year I did a bonus for each prompt regardless of the word, then I did a worm bonus last year- doing a grinning worm for each prompt. This year I'm going to try and tie it into a wish for a star if I can.

This one is a combo. The word Crystal made me think of the levels Crysilis and Diamondus in jazz jackrabbit. But I didn't have time to do this and a star bonus, so I combined it. Here is Koosh visiting the discarded treasure plant. Seems the little floating mines that once guarded the stolen loot are sentient now!

Ok. So we are all pretty sure the whole video is taking place inside a cocoon or some enclosure. Which got me thinking about all of the references to reputation videos. The staircase, the dance, the street, etc.

What if the message is that all of reputation was in the transforming phase. The whole time she was making reputation she was morphing. She was changing from a snake/caterpillar to a butterfly.

It feeds on leaves and is known to pollinate apple, cherry, and plum blossoms. The lifecycle of this moth is mystifying. After hatching from an egg into a #caterpillar, this solitary #creature will eat many times its body weight in leaves as it grows. It will then find a safe place to attach its #cocoon, such as the the underside of an elder tree leaf. The caterpillar will spin a cocoon of silk fibers where it will form a #chrysalis, and develop an entirely new body. Although it doesn’t look like much is going on, inside the cocoon is a very busy place. The caterpillar's body digests itself from the inside out to rebuild itself. The fluid breaks down the old caterpillar body into cells called imaginal cells, which have the potential to become any type of cell. The new body then forms from those cells, wings and all. This whole process takes about two weeks. When the time comes, fluid will secrete to soften the chrysalis and the fully formed moth will break through the fibers to dry its wings and enter the #world.
