@silverwinghere has been drawing me a lot of gift art lately and I love each and every photo but sadly I just can’t keep up! I gotta reblog them on Ask-JetStream and here but till then I wanted to draw something back.

Silver is super interested in Filipino history (from the Philippine-American war to the later social/political issues that continued though the 80s and 90s) and has been teaching me a lot about it! In response I wanted to share a part of history I enjoy studying which is the Vietnam War. I saw Silver drew her sona in an old Calvary uniform based off the song “I Wanna be in The Calvary” by Corb Lund and it reminded me of how the Calvary was used in Vietnam- the Air Cav. So I drew her sona wearing a First Cav jacket and the standard issued M1 helmet with its camo fabric cover. I didn’t want to draw Silver happy because of how horrible the war was to both the Vietnamese and Americans alike. Maybe Silver was drafted and didn’t want t be there? Maybe she doesn’t believe in this war. Maybe she is hearing word of the protests getting worse and worse. I also decided to add an orange smoke to the background for what I hope is an obvious reason.

I hope this makes up a bit for all the awesome art Silver! And I hope you had a very Merry Christmas!

The tall blue mare walked back into Ponyville, her new home, leaving the rolling hills and farm land which surrounds the small town behind her. For her birthday, June 6th, she decided to visit an old friend but finally after so long she was back and ready to continue where she left of.

Mod: Finally back after how long? Too long! And on JetStream’s official birthday no less! Thank you to all my followers for waiting so patiently for when I could get back to this, hopefully  this post doesn’t disappoint! For anyone who is wondering where the other posts that were on this blog are I moved them over to @ask-jetstream-archive so I could officially soft reset the blog. For all the gift art she has gotten since before I took my hiatus I will slowly reblog posts or put together a larger fan art Friday post over time as to not swamp the blog. I’m very excited for this new direction because I’m allowing myself more freedom to interact and just explore the character- no more story that has to it story beats!  Thank you once again for sticking with me so long and please feel free to send more asks; I cannot wait to show you all who this tall blue horse is!

Friendtober Day 4!! It’s @ask-narratordoe

Might be the last day I do sadly- idk, I’d like to do more but tbh was it with a BIG burnout and some depression and it’s been kinda hard to be happy with anything I draw ;;

As for how I changed Doe? Well here’s the thing- I already helped Doe a bit with the redesign she did on her oc a few months back so it’s kinda hard- however I DID change something! Gave her more freckles lol like a fawn’s spots or something lol

Sorry if this disappoints anyone tho, I really did want to do more :(

The 14th Scout Ranger Company Makes a Blunder

The Philippine December Coup of 1989

On November 29, 1989, at around 10:00 p.m., the 14th Scout Ranger Company, among the Philippine military's elite soldiers, disabled the antennae of Philippine Air Force repeater station at the "Palace in the Sky", Tagaytay. This act was supposed to be the signal for members of RAM-SFP (Reform the Armed Forces Movement - Soldiers of the Filipino People) to begin the coup.

However, there was a problem. The 14th Scout Ranger Company had blundered and disabled the repeater station at the wrong time. They were supposed to destroy the antennae on November 30, in order to signal the start of the coup on December 1. Instead they did it one day early.

To make things worse they forgot to cut the cables of the other communications equipment, thus enabling the Air Force personnel to contact the capital.

Because of this, when the 14th Scout Ranger Company drove north to Fort Bonifacio, at the National Capital Region, they were surprised to see that no coup has began. Upon realizing their mistake, they attempted to head back to Tagaytay, but were arrested by CAPCOM (Capital Command) troops. They were then interrogated, as the whole Armed Forces were placed on red alert against a potential coup.

Okay, so this will be the first in a series that I'm trying out. At the request of @crypkit I present to you all, History with Ponies! Right now I'm focusing on the Philippine's December 1989 Coup.

Portrayed in this piece are some members of the 14th Scout Ranger Company as they disable the atennae of the PAF repeater station. The ponies representing them are Boom ( @thedumbguywithaheart43 ) and a discorded version of Philippines Pony (@asktheunponies ). As you can see, they are wearing olive drab fatigues and black beanie caps, which was a common outfit for the Scout Rangers who participated in the coup. You will also notice Philippines Pony wearing a white scrunchie. This is to represent the countersign worn by RAM members, with white designating day 1 of the coup.

P.S. I have actually been to the Palace in the Sky once on a date (It's a tourist attraction nowadays) and wow is it really windy and cold up there. Now that I remember that, I should have draw their manes blowing against the wind.
