#Cronus art collection

Cronus has added a piece to his art collection, a statue he is currently staring at. His expression is hard to read.
"...I suppose it is my fault for misreading the name, but in truth..."
He strokes his beard, considering.
"....I don't -hate- it.... "

Unlike Homer, we do have some record of the poet Hesiod, as he brought details of his personal life into his work. His epic poems are invaluable reference sources for the formation of the cosmos and the genealogies of the Greek Gods.
The first major extant (still existing) work of Hesiod’s is the epic poem and invocation hymn “Theogony,” (origin of the gods, 700 B.C.E.) In the poem, while shepherding sheep upon Mount Helicon, Hesiod tells of encountering the Muses who gift Hesiod a laurel staff, a symbol of poetic authority, and breathing into him the divine breath of inspiration. In this poem Hesiod gives us the forming of the universe from Uranus (sky) and Gaia (earth) and the cyclops, giants, and Titans to follow. In this work with have the triple succession motif of sons overthrowing fathers with Cronus overthrowing Uranus, and then Zeus overthrowing Cronus in the Titanomachy (war between Olympians and titans.)
His second work, “Works and Days” is a didactic collection of pastoral poetry tales used to illustrate for his ne’er-do-well brother, Perses, how to lead a more virtuous life through hard work, humility and justice. Here we get the tales of Prometheus stealing fire from Zeus and Pandora opening the jar and releasing evil upon mankind. Hesiod also lists the fascinating fives ages of man; the Golden age, the Silver age, the Bronze age, the Heroic age, and the Iron age. The poem ends with ruminations on seasons and agricultural wisdom.
In my illustration we see the sacred fountain of Hippocrene in the background, which was said to have poured forth when Pegasus struck his hoof into the ground. The sacred stream was said to give the drinker poetic inspiration.
One tale of Hesiod’s death is that the oracle of Delphi told him he would die at Nemea, so he fled to Locris, where he, unable to escape fate, eventually died at the temple to Nemean Zeus, fulfilling the prophecy in typical ironic fashion.
Thanks for looking and reading, and for rehashing/reblogging my works you fine Tumblr folks! Happy 2023! xoxo

”Time Chasing Love Away” - ”Le Temps chasse l'Amour” - painted in 1879 by Pierre-Charles Comte (1823 - 1895). Oil on canvas; dimensions: 101 x 73 cm or 39.76 x 28.74 in. Private Collection. The painting shows Saturn, the personification of time in Roman mythology, chasing away the chariot in which sits Venus with her son Cupid. The chariot is drawn by two white doves. Saturn was a Roman god with a similar history to Cronus from Greek mythology. Associated with agriculture, harvest, wealth, abundance, and time, he was one of the most powerful gods of the ancient Romans. Saturn, like Cronos, carried a scythe or sickle. Pierre-Charles Comte was a French painter. He studied under Claude Bonnefond (1796-1860) in Lyon and Joseph-Nicolas Robert-Fleury (1797-1890) in Paris. Comte belonged to the academism art style and is known for history and genre painting.

Leadership and Influence: Unveiling the Deception and Fraud
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leadership and Influence: Unveiling the Deception and Fraud
You are Admired & Respected
“Great works are performed not by strength, but perseverance” - Dr. Samuel Johnson.
“What is in position of Leadership and Influence represents serious deception and fraud in position and speech which includes the ideology behind the representation, my Earth is in peril, but you have failed in your responsibilities and suffer this as a result, I can assist, but will you ask” – Gaia ‘Primordial Earth, Destroyer’.
The Titan Society – Cronus ‘Titan Leader, Destroyer’, Hecate ‘Witchcraft, Destroyer’ Circe ‘Sorceress, Destroyer’.
Andrew Rogers – Founder, Creative Director, Writer, Oracle.
Leadership and influence play crucial roles in any society, acting as guiding forces that shape the direction and progress of a community. However, in a world plagued by deception and fraud, the significance of these qualities becomes even more prominent. It is imperative to understand the impact of leadership and influence and the responsibility that comes with wielding them.
Deception and fraud are pervasive issues that have the power to erode trust, destabilize institutions, and hinder progress. They can take various forms, including dishonesty, manipulation, and misrepresentation. In such an environment, it's essential for individuals in positions of leadership and influence to counteract these negative forces.
Leaders and influencers, whether in politics, business, or any other field, have the ability to shape opinions, inspire action, and drive positive change. They possess the platform to communicate ideas, set ethical standards, and create a sense of direction for society. However, the integrity and authenticity with which they exercise their power are key factors in determining their impact.
One of the most dangerous aspects of deception and fraud is the underlying ideology that drives it. This ideology often seeks personal gain or power at the expense of others, leading to a toxic and divisive environment. Leaders and influencers who are aware of this danger must actively work to counteract it by embodying transparency, honesty, and ethical behavior.
When leaders and influencers fail to fulfill their responsibilities or succumb to deception and fraud, the consequences can be dire. Society suffers, trust is shattered, and progress stalls. In such circumstances, it becomes crucial for individuals who recognize these issues to step up and offer their assistance.
Gaia, often referred to as 'Primordial Earth, Destroyer,' reveals the urgent need to address the perils our planet faces due to a lack of responsible leadership and influence. The call for assistance is a reminder that collective action and a commitment to truth and integrity are necessary to overcome the challenges we face.
In conclusion, leadership and influence are vital in a world grappling with deception and fraud. They have the power to shape society, promote transparency, and foster trust. However, it is the ethical and responsible exercise of these qualities that can truly combat the negativity that arises from deception and fraud. As individuals, we must recognize the importance of these virtues and be willing to answer the call for assistance in times of need. Only then can we create a brighter future for ourselves and future generations.

A new Legacy Challenge
The Grecian Mythology Legacy Challenge
Synopsis: Before there were what we call the modern gods and goddesses of today from Mount Olympus, or The Olympians, there were those that came before them. Like every story, it has its origins. Gaea, birthed from Chaos, and Ouranus, birthed from Gaea, who then began to create their own legacy. In this Legacy Challenge, you will tell the story of the gods and goddesses from it’s very core to what it is today, from Gaea to Zeus and his many, many children.
Getting Started/Rules:
Disclaimer: For the purposes of this challenge,we’re just going to start out with Gaea and Ouranos as there are MANY MANY children born from Chaos and Gaea, followed by Ouranos and Gaea, and that is just too much time and energy spent. CC and Mods are also very much welcomed!
It would very much help to start a New Game, and by creating your sims. They must be married and of the opposite gender. Gaea=Mother Earth and Ouranos=The Father/Starry Sky. They may look however you please, if you have the Expansion Pack Get To Work, they can be aliens, if you have The Game Packs Realm of Magic, Vampires. You are very much welcome to make them into Mages or Vampires, the choice is up to you! If you have seasons you may start in any season you see fit.
After you are done creating your founders, you MUST move them into Newcrest on the biggest Lot which should be Twin Oracle Point. (It even sounds mythological XD). If you want more of a challenge try living Off-Grid.
You may not have any kind of job as you are just starting out, so in order to make your living wages you may:
Fish
Garden
Paint
Wood Working
Sculpting
And sell Collectibles (anything found)
Generation alpha : The Creation
Gaea, also known as mother earth, very much loved her children, too bad Ouranos didn’t feel the same and locked them all away to never be seen again… supposedly…
Gaea:
* Career: None

   * Mean
Ouranos/Uranus:

Home/Building:
You must start your build as a single hut and grow from there, limited to garden decor, but not exclusive to plumbing, lighting, and cooking.
Basement must be built… for obvious reasons
Children:
You can have as many children as you’d like but the main focus is Cronos.
Once Cronus is of age, he may start looking for his “Rhea”
Succession:
When Ouranos/Uranus is an elder he must fight with his son Cronos and be banished from the lot. (You can get creative with this or just have him move out)
This will end Generation alpha with Cronus taking over.
Generation Beta: The Creation 2
Just like his father before him Cronos found out through the prophecies that one of his children will overthrow him and become ruler, Rhea is not pleased by this and devises a plan just like her mother (in law) before her. You may start to have jobs/careers this generation

And never have contact with him again until he is a teenager (You may switch back and forth between the households)
Zeus may start to look for his “Hera”
Succession:
Like the previous Generation once Cronos is an old man who fights with his son (teenage) Zeus multiple times. Cronos then dies from exhaustion or anger (you can cheat this) and Zeus takes over.
This will end generation Beta with Zeus succeeding his Father.
Generation Gamma: A New Age and Ruler

Generation Delta: The God of War
Ares never did have the proper love he wanted from his father and mother, as he was constantly being outshone by his dear sister Athena; and as a result he grew bitter, and began to tread down a dark path, knowing that nobody had truly cared what he did… all except one.

and as for nymphs, here are some that we live for as well as the types of nymphs where you could create your own original nymph based on the type !

Life is a Pandora's box and the hope within Prometheus
Is mythology merely a collection of fascinating legends, or does it have a purpose? Mythology is concerned with both the past and the present. It illuminates the path. Mythology explains how emotion may take control of a person. We can clearly perceive that the greatest enemies of humanity are passion, ambition, hatred, selfishness, and greed. A myth is an image with which we try to make sense of the world,” says Alan Watts. Beyond your imagination, these stories tell us that "the limits of life are beyond what you only know, learn from your past and guide your future." I can hear this whisper. "Myth and nature are the two great garments of the world; nature is the vibrant green garment that covers the planet, and myth is the multidimensional, multi-coloured fabric that constantly covers human culture."(Michael Meade) We can understand the meaningful expression of these words of Michael Meade more easily by expanding our knowledge pool. Nature is a gift given to the world, and man is the other gift that completes the world. He can contain every colour in his soul and turn the world into a work of art, or he can object to other colours and choose only black and go towards the depths of darkness. I would like to tell you about mythological stories that have inspired me. Mythology's brightest stars are Pandora's box and the Prometheus legend.     According to a legend, Zeus created Pandora, the first woman on Earth, as a punishment for humanity. This punishment for humanity was devastating and unkind like the great flood of Noah. When humanity forgot about its creators or ignored the gods, the gods were reminding themselves of such punishments. Zeus gave Pandora a box that she should never have opened. This box symbolized the personality of women. There was so much evil in the box, such as malice, hatred, anger, murder, and greed. If the box was opened, these evils would spread to the earth, and Pandora's curiosity prevailed and she opened the box. All evil has spread and swept the world. The great disaster was now within humanity. The box, which Zeus knowingly gave to a woman's curiosity in this story, was a great scourge for humanity. Besides all these evils in the box, there was only one good thing for humanity and that was hope. Mankind has never abandoned hope, and hope has been his only consolation. Instead of blaming Pandora, who opened the box, one should consider Zeus, who sent her for this purpose. For poor Pandora to succumb to her curiosity was the most unlikely thing that could happen to a mortal, but Zeus, who knew this, also knew what would destroy the human race, if you ask me, Zeus survived these evils and his jealousy became his most dangerous weapon. In this regard, Zeus, who continued this ugly reign like Cronus, who ate his sons so that his father would not heir to the throne and his power would not decrease, always succumbed to his feelings. Pandora's curiosity was an invisible mistake compared to what Zeus had done. "Hope? Hope is the last evil!" says Nietzsche. The fact that the last thing humanity clings to is hope, which actually informs them that it is the greatest evil done to them, but without hope, there would be no real reason for people to hold on. Of course, the thing that hurts the most is the disappointment caused by the lack of hope, but no matter how tired one gets, it is also important to be able to fight with the last hope left in one's hands and rely on that hope. Therefore hope, which Zeus saw as a huge bad power, was actually a light for humanity.      It would not be enough just to blame Pandora. For Zeus, his main target was Prometheus. Prometheus had been punished many years ago, by setting fire to humanity and making it higher than God. Zeus tied Prometheus to the hard rock at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains by force and violence with unshakable and unbreakable chains. Prometheus had helped Zeus in the battle with the titans, and this favour was quickly forgotten. Zeus' vengeance was enough to make him forget this great goodness. Zeus had insolence, arrogance, egocentric coarseness of human nature. He could have killed Prometheus instead of chaining him, but Zeus couldn't because he had an interest. There was a prophecy told to him. One day a boy would be born and take his throne from him. and only Prometheus knew who the boy's mother was. Zeus sent Hermes to find out this secret, but Prometheus resisted and did not tell the secret, despite all the torture, albeit in chains. showed that there can be a solution if there is willpower. At that moment, the god of gods left Zeus helpless. Prometheus was released generations later. Chiron was ready to die for Prometheus. Hercules slew the eagle and unchained Prometheus from the rock. We realize that even the enmity does not last forever when Zeus says that now this punishment may be enough and will set him free. Prometheus is the strongest character in this story, he is the symbol of justice and he represents never surrender, no matter how much pressure, no matter how to torture. While Prometheus was being held captive in chains, a beautiful and mysterious girl would visit him. This girl's name was IO. They would chat with Prometheus and talk about Zeus. Zeus falls in love with this girl and this love does not escape Hera's eyes. Suspecting Zeus, Hera assigns her servant Argus, who has 100 eyes, to keep him comfortable and control him. Knowing that his lies are useless, Zeus is watched by Argus even while he sleeps. Desperate Zeus turns her into a poor ugly starving animal to get close to her love. However, Argus still does not stop watching him. Finally, Zeus commissions his son Hermes, the messenger of the gods, to kill Argus. Hermes played sweetly upon a pipe of reeds. Argus was pleased at the sound and called to the musician to come nearer. Hermes made some of the hundred eyes sleepy, but some were always awake. Finally, Hermes killed him. If you believe that poor IO has been saved, you are mistaken about Hera's rage and envy. Hera sent a gad-fly to plague her, which stung her to madness. When IO told this to Prometheus, he tried to comfort her. She ran along the seas and lands. This part of the sea was called Bosporus. As she reached the Nile, Zeus would restore her to her earlier human form. She would bear a son called Epophus. IO’s descendant would be Hercules who was the one of the greatest heroes. Prometheus helped them. Hercules helped Prometheus at the same time, he gave Prometheus’ freedom. The good are rewarded. We realize that the evil characters aren't always the heroes, and that the good guys will return one day.     Gods and goddesses are another shape of humanity of current. They used their power to destroy somethings like big cities. Even today power wars have not finished. Someone who feels powerful wants to be mightier. Human or gods is trying to force somebody to abdicate. We are aware that a desire is worth more than a drop of blood. We see that neither hostility nor friendship last forever. Zeus who was the god of gods and Prometheus who was the saviour of man were the best friends, but Prometheus’ giving fire to humanity as a gift and knowing a prophecy about Zeus turned this friendship into enmity. At the present time, good friendships can become enmity for any reason. In past, Zeus left Prometheus in despair. Jealousy, the main concept that never changes in both present and past, played a role in almost every event. Jealousy creates slyness as a snake and cunning as a wolf. Today, every person who is jealous definitely brings evil things whatever happens. We have learned from Hera how jealousy is dangerous when it is combined with power. She used her power whenever Zeus fell in love with another woman. Beautiful Psyche’s sisters have showed that jealousy is disease and it spreads as fast as fire. They came her home and jealousy wrapped them like a fire. When Pandora opened the box, so many evil things showed up, but at the same time hope approved itself. People never abandon to hope. We are still aware that everything which is bad has a solution and we can defeat anything if there is hope. Hope is really the cure for everything. Just believing is enough to overcome most things. The eyes in the hearts should always remain open. Living as if a person would never die gives rise to endless desires. Today, many people have these desires; however, you can restrain your desire and everything is in your hands. You can abuse this opportunity and you can also use to good things. If a person is defeated by her or his anger and ambition, this short life swallows her or him. Mythology enables us to see what the truth or wrong is, the truth or evil is, and deceptions or deaths are. It helps us to know people who are captured all emotions. It shows that history always repeats and cruelty does not change in both past and present. Fate always overcomes everything. This never change in past or present. History leads to understand what truth is and what wrong is. This bridge always provides to understand the relationship between powerful and powerless. We are actor in own stage. We should play the best play for life. We should stay alive. It does not matter how it will be because we are not permanent in this life.

NECROMANCER Madame Theodosia hearkens from the Aeolian islands and is part of a long lineage of necromancers. Growing up in a family with a long tradition of raising the dead, she was uncharacteristically shaken to learn of her barrenness, and in a rather emotional state vowed to give birth, if not to a new life, then to an already passed life. For this purpose she had found assistance in fashioning a steel, pressurised womb in which the souls of the freshly dead were to be trapped and condensed. This gestating entity came to be referred to in hushed tones as The Collect. The expectant mother now unnerves her followers with a detached resignation towards her eventual agonizing death; a necessity to feed her newborn babe in a self-sacrificial fashion akin to a mother spider.

COBBLED SKALD When a talented skald of the Swedish courts, renowned across Scandinavia for his unparalleled musical prowess, revealed himself as a disguised woman, she was swiftly executed, and the embarrassing events were stricken from polite conversation. Her sudden return to court functions shook even the staunchest war veterans, but not enough to stay a second wary, though swift, summary execution. Upon further returns, each revealing the scald to be strangely repaired in a manner befitting tailor more than physician, the court began to almost embrace the eerie presence. This cycle of returns and executions leading to a more and more transfigured court poet became something of an exalted tradition.

LILI The twisted children of Lilith and Adam, these creatures are almost as old as the earth itself. Able to don complete facades, it is said that even the busiest settlements are riddled with their presence. They tend to only be discovered when they carelessly let their personage last, unaging, for unnatural stretches of time. The presence of a lili seems to sow distrust and confusion among people. It is not unknown for ships to be found becalmed at sea, the crew dead by their own hands and a single woman alive on board, strangely unshaken by the ordeal.

GUARD POST Two guards posted along the rim of a floating island. A religious cult has built a temple and surrounding dwellings on this island, and they float across the continent indoctrinating and spiriting away new followers. Of course, the more established religions on land encourage all to resist the new cult and attacks on the island are common. These guards especially have to look out for fires being set in the path of the island. It floats and steers very slowly with the use of huge lode stones. Peasants on the ground are taught by the churches to set huge forest fires in the islands path to suffocate its inhabitants. These guards use very rare and expensive cartridge rifles (plundered, the industry of cartridge ammunition is long forgotten) to pick off scouts or shepherds who appear to be hurrying to warn towns of the island’s advance. The cultists undergo a series of skin bleachings so that they begin to resemble dolls or puppets. The female is the example of successful treatments, and the figure on the tree is covered up due to severely disfiguring mistakes made in the process

JUDITH & HOLOFERNES Conviction took her as she approached the wretch; he lay swooned from drink and debauchery. She gripped him by the hair as she brought his own weapon down upon his neck. Halfway did it stop and and he lay there breathing quietly from the cleft in his throat. “Beast of land with tough neck as if of knotted wood!” she lamented. Again a blow rained down sending the head of Holofernes rolling from the bed and across the carpeted floor of his tent. “Glory! Glory! Glory!” crooned the scaled cherubs “do not settle as of yet, dear lady, bid your maid do retrieve the head and place it in a ration sack.” This she did, following the urges of the divine voices, and she rolled his body off the bed, and rent the canopy from its posts.

What is Rhea and What is Kybele? - Signs and Symbols
This post goes over the different depictions and associated symbols of Rhea and/or Kybele in Greek Mythology. I’ve split up the sources and color-coded them based on who the source seemed to be referring to. Blue is for sources on Rhea, Green is for Kybele and Purple is a source about Rhea-Kybele, Meter Theon, or any variation thereof. I've also sorted some of the depictions and symbols based on weather I believe it's derived originally from Rhea or Kybele (Meter Theon if unknown) based on research opinion.
Rhea
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Depictions: Was usually shown holding Zeus or Her other children. Wore simple robes and usually had some sort of veil (cloth or headband) that doubled as a simple crown. (Nausicaa Painter, Cronus & Rhea - Capitoline Museums Collection, Rhea & Cronus).
Sacred Symbols: Bore a scepter that symbolized Her position as queen of the heavens, this scepter was used to open the mountainside and create the river Neda to bathe Zeus in (Callimachus, Hymn 1 to Zeus). Also commonly shown holding the Omphalos stone that She used to trick Cronus (see photos above).
Kybele
Tumblr media
Depictions: A Matronly woman on a throne with a turret crown and two lions at her feet (Ovid, Fasti - Propertius, Elegies - Cybele Statue of Unknown Collection - Cybele Statue of the Malibu Collection).
Sacred Symbols: Cymbals were a sacred instrument that Her followers commonly played (Ovid, Metamorphoses - Propertius, Elegies - Strabo, Geography). The Silver Fir is her sacred plant, this is often loosely translated as "Pine Tree" (Pindar, Dithyrambs Heracles the Bold - Ovid, Metamorphoses - Virgil, Aeneid - Statius, Thebaid) and Her sacred animal was the Lion (Pausanias, Description of Greece).
The Meter Theon (aka Rhea-Kybele)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Depictions: Most commonly depicted as the same enthroned Matronly figure as Kybele (Ovid, Metamorphoses) has also been depicted riding Her lion, side-saddle, dressed in robes with complex patterns and decked out in a dazzling set of jewelry with a matching crown (Rhea-Cybele, Attic Kylix Fragment). Was described once as having a robe made of black leaves and long locks of golden hair, this depiction was referred to uniquely as "The Mother of the Mountainside" (Timotheus, Fragment 791). Was said to ride in a chariot drawn by Her lions (Orphic Hymn to Rhea & Orphic Hymn to the Meter Theon - Philostratus, Life of Apollonius of Tyana - Oppian, Cynegetica - Ovid, Metamorphoses - Ovid, Fasti - Virgil, Aeneid - Valerie's Flaccus, Argonautica - Statius, Thebaid | Nonnus, Dionysiaca - Suidas s.v. Kybele).
Sacred Symbols: Had a grand palace in Phrygia with shinning halls, lion stables and a large garden were the Korybantes danced and sang for Her (Nonnus, The Dionysiaca). Her most common sacred animal was the lion, (Pausanias, Description of Greece) Her other sacred animal was the hawk (Aelian, On Animals).

Greek Goddess of Wisdom and War
Athena, also referred to as Athene, is a very important goddess of many things. She is goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, strategic warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill.
She is known most specifically for her strategic skill in warfare and is often portrayed as companion of heroes and is the patron goddess of heroic endeavour.
Athena was born from zeus after he experienced an enormous headache and she sprang fully grown and in armour from his forehead. She has no mother but one of the most commonly cited stories is that Zeus lay with Metis, the goddess of crafty thought and wisdom, and then swallowed her whole as he feared she will give birth to a child more powerful than him because of a prophecy – but she had already conceived.
She was Zeus’s favourite child.
She is referred to in poetry as “gray-eyed.”
The owl was her bird, and the olive tree was hers.
She turned the weaver Arachne into a spider after the mortal woman insulted Athena and the Olympian gods.
Hermes and Athena went to the aid of Perseus in his quest to slay medusa. Looking directly at medusa would turn any man to stone, so Athena provided Perseus with her polished shield. Using it, he was able to see Medusa as if looking in a mirror. Again, Athena guided his hand as he cut off Medusa’s head with his sword.
Greek Goddess of the Hunt, Forests and Hills, the Moon, Archery
Artemis is known as the goddess of the hunt and is one of the most respected of all the ancient Greek deities. It is thought that her name, and even the goddess herself, may even be pre-Greek. She was the daughter of zeus, king of the gods, and the Titans Leto and she has a twin brother, the god APOLLO.
Not only was Artemis the goddess of the hunt, she was also known as the goddess of wild animals, wilderness, childbirth and virginity. Also, she was protector of young children and was know to bring and relieve disease in women. In literature and art she was depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrow. Artemis ( like Athena ) was a virgin and drew the attention and interest of many gods and men. However, it was only her hunting companion, Orion, that won her heart. It is believed that Orion was accidentally killed either by Artemis herself or by Gaia, the primordial goddess of the earth. In one version of the stories of Adonis – who was a late addition to Greek mythology during the Hellenistic period – Artemis sent a wild boar to kill Adonis after he continued to boast that he was a far greater hunter than her.
Artemis was daughter of Zeus and Leto and twin sister of Apollo.
She was primarily a virgin huntress, goddess of wildlife and patroness of hunters.
The bear was sacred to her.
She guarded her virginity carefully. Actaeon and Orion tried to dishonor or rape her, but anyone who threatened her purity met with a violent end.
She was an important goddess in the lives of women, especially when it came to marriage and young creatures.
When one of her nymphs was seduced by Zeus, Artemis transformed her into a bear and then killed her.
She was sometimes associated with the goddess of the moon.
Artemis acted out in anger whenever her wishes were disobeyed, especially if anyone transgressed against the animals that were sacred to her.
She punished Agamemnon, for example, when he killed a stag in her sacred grove.
Artemis appealed to Zeus to grant her eternal virginity.
Apollo and Artemis teamed up to kill the children of Niobe. Niobe bragged that she had birthed more children than Leto (the mother of Apollo and Artemis). The twins then hunted her children and killed them with their bows and arrows.
Artemis was worshipped widely in Greece but only as a secondary deity.
A temple built in her honor became one of the “Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.”
At least two festivals were celebrated in her honor of Artemis: Brauronia and the festival of Artemis Orthia.
Homer referred to her as a mistress of wild animals.
Artemis spent most of her time roaming the forests with her nymphs. She was described as both hunting animals and protecting them.
She armed herself with a bow and arrows made by Hephaestus and Cyclops.
In art, Artemis is often accompanied by a stag or hunting dog.
She is the protector of chastity and a nurturer of the young.

Greek God of the Dead and King of the Underworld
Hades was the god of the underworld and the name eventually came to also describe the home of the dead as well. He was the oldest male child of Cronus and Rhea.
Hades and his brothers zeus and Poseidon defeated their father and the titans  to end their reign, claiming rulership over the cosmos. They agreed to split their rule with Zeus becoming god of the skies, Poseidon god of the sea and Hades god of the underworld.
He was later known to the Greeks as Plouton, which the romans pluralized to Pluto. The god of the underworld was married to persephone, the daughter of Demeter, whom he obtained through deception after abducting her to the underworld and giving her the forbidden fruit pomegranate, forcing her to remain in the underworld with him for one third of each year.
Facts about Hades -
Hades is best known as the ruler of the underworld. It became his dominion after he and his brothers drew lots for their share of the universe.
According to Iliad, Hades’ dominion lies between secret places of the earth. According to the Odyssey, one must cross Ocean to get there.
Though Hades supervised the dead assigned to his realm, he was not one of its judges. Three demi-gods served that purpose instead.
Hades was depicted as stern and unyielding, unmoved by prayer and sacrifice.
Hades had a cap or helmet that made its wearer invisible.
His wife was Persephone, Demeter’s only daughter, whom he kidnapped and made his queen.
He was also called the God of Wealth or “the rich one” because he possessed the precious metals of the earth.
Pirithoüs, friend of Theseus, detrmined to have Persephone (the most carefully guarded lady in all the universe) as his bride. To this end, the two friends journeyed to the underworld, but Hades thwarted their plan. He invited them to sit on the Chair of Forgetfulness, which cause its occupant to forget everything. Hercules rescued Theseus , but the King of the Dead held Pirithous there for trying to steal his queen.
Cerberus was a three-headed dog who guarded his realm; the ferryman Charon was another one of the underworld’s attendees.
Though Hades is the King of the Dead, he should not be confused with Death itself, which is personified by Thanatos.
Cronus and Rhea were his parents.
Poseidon and Zeus were his brothers.
Hades rarely left the underworld. His presence was not welcomed by men or by gods.
Hades took pride in collecting “subjects” for his kingdom and was disinclined to let anyone leave.
His dominion was separated from the land of the living by the following rivers: Styx, Lethe, Acheron, Phlegethon, and Cocytus.
Hades employed the Furies, who were responsible for torturing the guilty.
Hades is described by some sources as the god of the earth’s fertility.
The narcissus and the cypress are sacred to him.
In his kingdom, Hades sat on a throne made of ebony and carried a scepter.
Hades was known for his involvement with Sisyphus, the man condemned to the underworld to forever roll a boulder uphill. According to legend, Hades allowed  sisyphus to return to earth long enough to arrange his own funeral.

OOH!! before i forget, i just wanted to let y’all guys know about this mythology comic i found on webtoons :) it’s called deities of the ancient by gau meo and it basically just begins with the olympians and how they overthrew cronus.
the author also has another series which is just titled hades and persephone ficlets, and as the title implies, it’s just a collection of short stories mainly concerning hades and persephone. it has like alternate universes, other stories (like eros and psyche) as interpreted by the author.

Practicing, practicing (?I'm obsessed with the affair between Hades and Hera before the war against Cronus. Actually there are fandom's theories about the main reason of Zeus to assign the Underworld to Hades was for this affair, because he wanted Hera but she didn't love him.
Read Lore Olympus in webtoon line, you won't regret.
