Wedding dress edit, plus my reasonings for changing stuff.
.
1. The crown is back because it’s a royal wedding, and I thought it’d look good as a decoration to hold the veil. Also I made her hair less tight on her head, and let her have some side strands out to frame her face.
.
2. The blue flower crown as a callback to all the times Persephone “flooms” when she sees hades. (Also imagine blue roses creeping up her dress, but I’m lazy and can’t draw flowers).
.
3. I wanted Persephone to still be able to have her “signature roses”. So all the see through parts have blue roses embroidered on them.
.
4. Obviously the big ass butterfly/moth on the front is in reference to both Persephone and Hades animal forms. Her veil is also shaped like butterfly wings, especially when layered.
.
5. A black wedding dress to fit the Chthonic theme, and represent her newfound independence. A big part of Persephones character arc has been rejecting the purity culture forced on her. Visually this is seen in her all white outfits, 99% of the time chosen by other people. When she finally chooses her own outfit it’s the Kronos fight, and she chooses a sleek black look. So Aesthetic wise, I feel like Persephone would enjoy a darker outfit if she had the choice. But also I feel like it would visually sell the idea that Persephone is her own person, making her own choices, and that she’s fully embraced her new life.
