"Adventure Time" Returns to Comics

Oni Press, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, and Cartoon Network are partnering on new compendium collections of Adventure Time comics for 2024, followed by a new Adventure Time comic book series launching in 2025.

The compendium collections being with Adventure Time Compendium Vol. 1, collecting the first 35 issues led by Ryan North and containing artwork by Shelli Paroline & Braden Lamb, Mike Holmes, Jim Rugg, T. Zysk, Kat Philbin, David Cutler, Ian McGinty, Jesse Tise, Carey Pietsch, Yumi Sakugawa, Liz Prince, Becca Tobin, Missy Peña, Jeffrey Brown, Jess Fink, and Dustin Nguyen.

Adventure Time Compendium Vol. 1, featuring a cover by Chris Houghton, goes on sale in October 2024.

Adventure Time: The Fionna and Cake Compendium collects Natasha Allegri's Adventure Time with Fionna & Cake #1–6 and Adventure Time with Fionna & Cake: Card Wars #1–6 from writer Jen Wang and artists Britt Wilson and Betty Liang, and shorts from creators N.D. Stevenson, Lucy Knisley, and Kate Leth.

Adventure Time: The Fionna and Cake Compendium goes on sale in November 2024.

New Adventure Time graphic novels and comic book series will begin publication in 2025.

This is my latest figure print of Cricket Green That I made! It now lives in a display window that everyone can see! No one has stolen it yet, so they must hate it! Thanks to the Show Runners and Disney for giving me permission to make this! I made this in ZBrush and Lightwave. I transferred it to Blender where it was rigged and I even used the 3D Print plugin to make it Manifold. Funny! They used to call that watertight. Oh the newspeak! Anyway, this was sliced using Bambu Studio and got printed on a Bambu P1S.

I strongly believe Cricket has ADHD, Tilly is autistic and both Bill and Remy have anxiety. You can disagree but the show has a lot of diversity so I think this might have been intentional.

The Mysteries of Harris Burdick is one of my favorite children’s books, although I think it’s probably best described as a book for all ages. The portfolio edition includes the original 14 illustrations from the book, plus an additional 15th drawing, in loose sheets enclosed in a cardboard folio. Each print measures 12”x16”. While a bit cumbersome, the portfolio edition is a fantastic way to experience this most creatively inspirational book.

Synopsis: “Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation” follows the Green family as they embark on an adventurous outer space-bound vacation. When thrill-seeker Cricket tricks his family into taking a “road trip” in space, chaos in the cosmos quickly ensues. Despite growing frustrations between Cricket and his dad, Bill, the two must learn to appreciate each other’s unique perspectives in order to prevent Big City from being destroyed by an interstellar disaster.

Chris Houghton (Cricket Green), Marieve Herington (Tilly Green), Bob Joles (Bill Green), Artemis Pebdani (Gramma Alice), Wendi McLendon-Covey (Nancy Green), Zeno Robinson (Remy), Anna Akana (Gloria), Raven-Symoné (Maria Media) and Cheri Oteri (Gwendolyn Zapp) reprise their roles from the television series.

I like how at this point, we have to specify and properly tag anything with the name "Bill".

I mean the most popular one of course is Bill Cipher.

Obviously there's a lot more like Bill Nye the science guy, Bill Murray, Bill Gates, Bill Green from the Disney Cartoon Big City Greens, and so on.

I just thought about this because I just ran into an Owl House post and of the tags was "Bill ToH" which also had a picture of the lad.

Like can we stop with the Bills already?

Also I'm pretty sure Dana and the crew purposely gave this character the name Bill to just send a shiver down our spines because we often associate it with Bill Cipher.

What was your first reaction when you found out that Big City Greens/Harvey Beaks/Jellystone! alumnis and creators of those shows will lead the Disney Channel Animation lineup after 10 years of serialized shows by Gravity Falls alumnis?

When i knew about those shows on development on early 2021 and my reaction was these.

Super happy for @chgreenblatt and his Harvey Beaks alumnis to pave the way of Disney TVA at Disney Channel on the 2020s as a rare case of animation snowball effect after HB was canceled at Nickelodeon.

The guy and his crew deserved it and i hope his and their alumnis shows from HB/BCG & JS! people get a greenlight PR this year and that one of them becomes the 100-Disney TVA show to air on 2024 as part of their 40 Anniversary.
