Rick Jones and Marlo Chandler prepare for their wedding by going on their night outs on separate parties. Marlo Chandler, along with her mother and Betty Ross, go for a girls night out on a Bachelorette Party with She-Hulk, Invisible Woman, Lyja the Skrull, Scarlet Witch and Crystal. Whereas Rick Jones has a bachelor night with Hulk, Captain America, Vision, Quicksilver, Doc Samson, Silver Surfer, Ben Grimm, Iron Man, War Machine, Namor and his old friends from the Teen Brigade.

In the veterans hall, Rick's bachelor party is in full swing. As the Hulk's allies and superheroes converse with each other, members of the Teen Brigade spike the punch. Suddenly, the party is crashed by a costumed woman calling herself the Ecdysiast, hired for the party. Captain America thinks he hired a magician, but is quickly horrified to discover that she is actually a stripper when she shows herself off to Rick. Hulk tells Captain America not to tell Betty about this, wondering what she would think about such objectification of the human body. However, the ladies have all gone to a male strip club where they are having a wild time. Suddenly, the party is crashed by some armed gunmen who have come to rob the patrons. Their mistake, however, is in choosing the night the club is full of female superheroes. Later that night, Rick's party quiets down for the screening of an adult film. After the Vision uses his powers to fix the projector, they are all in for a surprise when the woman in the film turns out to be Rick's bride-to-be.

Today was a wreck for poor Jamil,he had to be both a babysitter and a tour guide for his classmates and to top it off he had to set off the fireworks. He was annoyed,or at least that's what he says,however the reality is a bit different. Besides having fun moments with his friends there was one thing that stuck out,you.The way your eyes lit up to see all the beautiful treasure Silk City had to offer,the satisfied smile on your face after you finished a meal Jamil bought you from a food stand.Everytime he bought you something or told you a story about his homeland he couldn't help but smile gently,Trey,Cater,Malleus,Kalim and Grimm all noticed it too.The way his eyes softened when you spoke,the way he talked to you in a more gentler and kinder way. Grimm wanted to tease him about it but the others stopped him "Let them have their moment" Trey told Grimm "Yeah they look totes adorbs!" Cater chirped," Yeah I've never seen him so carefree!" Kalim grinned "What you all whispering there" Jamil asks,attention on the NRC students "Hmph it's nothing, just something trivial " Malleus said,Jamil didn't believe that one bit but decided to not push it,he didn't want a headache to accompany him throughout this tour.

Eventually sunset came around and it was time to set the fireworks.As your group was about to head out to their reserved area, a pyrotechnician was walking by and so happened to notice the group.He walked up to greet them with a warm smile on his face.Whilst they were chatting the pyrotechnician realized something.HE'S USB WAS GONE! How was he supposed to help set off the fireworks! Jamil grew tense as he heard rukus around him "My wallet is gone!" "My bracelet is missing! It was on my hand just a second ago!" Great, there's a thief on the loose. Jamil's eyes scanned the area ad immediately found the thief and said thief was coming right for their group,more specifically you."____!watch out!" He yelled,quickly pushing you out the way.He turned to you eyes filled with concern " Are you alright?" He asks, he knows it was kinda dumb to ask but he couldn't help but worry " Yeah I'm alright, was that the thief just now?" You ask, looking around. "OOK OOK" you all turned your heads in the direction of that sound,it was the monkey from that street performance! Jamil wasn't going to let some petty thief get away with ruining his hard work and also ruin everyone's experience so obviously he came up with a plan to catch him and luckily the plan was a success and you all ended up catching the thief.

' All that trouble is finally over' Jamil thought as he stared at the fireworks.You were sitting next to him,admiring the beautiful scenery in front of you.Jamil turned to your direction, looking at your face.Eyes lit up with excitement as your mouth curved into a smile.Sure the sky was beautiful but he thinks he might've found something even more beautiful.Scooting closer he put one arm around your waist.You turned to look at him confused.He only smiled as he cupped your cheek with his other hand. " You know,being here and showing you around wasn't so bad" he says ,his gentle smile returning once more "I've had a lot of fun,especially with you and everyone else here " you smile back at him " I'm glad" he says " They say the best way to enjoy the fireworks is by dancing " he says,leaning closer " but I think there's a thing that can be better than that" catching what he's implying you close the gap between the two of you. The kiss was sweet and long.Jamil made sure to express his feelings for you in that kiss,even though he knew that just one kiss would not be enough to fully show you his love for you,but not to worry he can easily spend the rest of his days kissing you and he will not complain one bit.Whilst he was busy enjoying the soft feeling of your lips on his, he heard a camera click.Breaking from the kiss he turned towards the sound and also the culprit who managed to snap a photo."Haha I never knew you had it in you Jam-Jam!" Cater's giggling rung out as he was looking at the photo he just took." H-hey what was that about!" Jamil yelled,face burning red from both embarrassment and frustration " Delete it!" "But it looks so good ,a kiss under the fireworks? What a romantic scene!" He chirps " What tags should I add to this post? Maybe #silkcityfireworks #kissunderthefireworks #sparklinglove " He says,teasing smile on his face " Don't you dare post it!" Jamil said,face flushed " Haha don't worry Jamil I'm just pulling your leg" he says with a giggle. Jamil sighs as he looks at the sky and then back at you.

last movie watched: Talk to Me (2023) dir. Danny & Michael Philippou. i watched it on my flight and it was honestly a lot better than i anticipated. even though gore isn't typically my favourite, i was pleasantly surprised by how they managed to integrate it into a possession film. loved the grief-driven storylines, and the characters charmed me. rating: ☆☆☆☆

last tv show watched: Betty (HBO) !!! i have debilitating crushes on everyone from Skate Kitchen.

last book finished: Empire of Wild by Cherie Dimaline. it was assigned in one of my first year uni courses and i sped through it without really taking the time to read it properly. now that i have it's been rotting my brain non-stop. her use of simile is insane.

i also recently finished An Anthropologist on Mars by Oliver Sacks. one of my all-time favourite authors and academics, would highly recommend this as a foray into 'medical' non-fiction.

last book abandoned: i don't think i've ever abandoned a book in my life, but i recently had to choke down this technical document about building codes that i can't be bothered to remember the title of.

edit: just remembered the absolute chore that was reading Outlawed by Anna North. i feel cheated and lied to by the cover because i love the cover, but the book is honestly unbelievably boring. i’m tired of the evangelical horse girl narrators, i had enough of those where i grew up. i did finish this because i hate quitting, but it tested my patience and made me feel like pulling my hair out.

currently reading: Milk Fed by Melissa Broder (for like the third time). this book is sooo weird and kind of gross, in the best way. it's definitely not going to appease everyone but i have a sick fascination with it and keep coming back. i've also been having a love affair with the cover design for a while now.

last thing researched for writing/art/hyperfixation: common apartment floorplans in Italy (if anyone has this info, hmu). i'm also in an internet sinkhole of background on the 2024 F2 grid and their respective karting histories.

favorite online fandom memory: when i was 15 i had public beef with a bunch of conservatives in a politician's comment section over pipelines and green policy and then said politician blocked me on every platform. this wouldn't be fandom related if not for the fact that i used my fan account to do all of this, so [redacted] had to search my cringe username multiple times... like omg are you a fan?

favorite old fandom you wish would drag you back in/have a resurgence: the euphoria that i felt being a part of the haikyuu fandom during quarantine will never be replicated, but i think about it every day.

favorite thing you enjoy that never had an active or big fandom, but you wish it did: i'm really into the original, morbid Grimm fairytales and wish that someone would produce a proper remake of Cinderella already. let the doves pick out the step sisters' eyes, cowards.

tempting project you don't have time for: this is a trick question because i always give into temptation regardless of whether i have time for it or not. i really want to do a series of deep-dive posts about track design and the 'architects' of f1... i've been fixated on it for a while now and haven't seen a lot of discussion about it, plus it seems like it would be fun to put all the research together :)

besides her mother and aunt betty, one of sadie's idols is bethany hamilton. she was inspired by her journey of becoming a pro surfer after losing her arm in a shark attack

betty was the one who took sadie to her first protest (it was about climate change and it was in dc; betty had to make sure thea and finn were ok with it beforehand)

out of thea and finn's children, sadie is the one who is the most like finn. she is the most laid back of the three siblings, and she believes that not everyone is a bad person

Character

Cindy Lou Hooper is a little girl who lives with her widowed mother and teenaged older brothers. Her mother works extra hard to provide for her family, her brothers are too busy or preoccupied with their schoolworks/girlfriends to take care of her, her older sisters are much busy with their “teenage girl stuffs” (instagramming, dating, etc) to spend time with her. Her village believes in not only Santa family’s existence, but also the Grinch’s. She become curious why they are afraid of him and why he dislike Christmas. Eventually, she encountered him at Christmas Eve, but he was stealing the tree and she asked why. Grinch simply lied that the tree was “very sick” and he wanted to heal it before returning it back. However, she was not aware that he was ruining her older siblings’ Christmas as a punishment for being a neglectful older brothers and sisters.

In Fairly Oddparents AU: Cindy Lou is described as lonely and neglected child who was to be appointed to have fairy godparent. Even before she had a fairy, she had strong belief of fairies’ existence, but doesn’t try to catch them. At one point, she was wandering in outdoor pond by the house as her babysitter was to busy to notice on her phone with someone. When Cindy Lou was fallen in a frozen pond, she was saved by the Grinch. When she encountered her godparents, Martha May and Grinch, she was elated.

In Grimm Adventures of Billie & Manny AU: Cindy Lou was babysat by Billie and Manny during Winter as her mother was too busy to take care of her. She displayed sympathy for her older sisters when they were coldly rejected by Manny, noticing how much he and Grinch resemble one another. Visiting Santa family’s toy factory, she noticed Martha May, one of the helpers, is romantically pining for Grinch. So, with Billie and Irina, she hoped to pair Martha May with Grinch. Eventually, Cindy Lou become a flower girl in their wedding.

In Courage the Cowardly Girl AU: Along with Courage, Cindy Lou had sacrificed her Christmas season to save her older siblings from Grinch’s curse. Hearing a past from Krampus,, she felt strong sympathy for Grinch, decided to give him a best Christmas present with Courage’s help; finding the relatives of orphans Grinch once lived with in his previous life. Learning of their efforts and reason, Grinch eventually lifted the curse from Cindy Lou’s siblings.

In Danni Phantom AU: Like from Fairly Oddparents AU, Cindy Lou is guarded by Grinch and Martha May. She was occasionally babysat by Danni, Tulie and Sam. She defends Grinch when some teenagers badmouthed him and with help of Daenys and Youngblood, she pull prank on Paulo, Dash, Daphne and other arrogant popular kids.
