I feel people talk a lot about Klamille, Klaroline and Klayley and completely ignore the influence Aurora had over Klaus.

Now, I don't really like any of the main ships of Klaus: Candice herself confirmed in a live no long ago that the producers started writing the whole Klaroline ship because the reaction of the fans to their first scene (which they didn't intend to turn romantic) was massive and positive, so their whole relationship was fan service from beginning to end. I like Klamille, but the fact that she was her therapist and they fell in love always creeped me out. And Klayley, well, they weren't even a couple but I feel that the potential was there.

But Klaurora? They fell in love in a time where neither of them were pure evil, and Klaus had been literally turned into a vampire two years before. And she wasn't "crazy", as people try to make her look: she was just bipolar, in a time where help was nowhere to be found. And Tristan just made that worse through their lives as vampires.

Now, this is my personal opinion, one I made by watching the show, you don't have to agree with it at all. Personally, I don't think Klaus and Caroline were in love with each other (not Caroline, unless she was playing hard to get in which case go girl ig), at least not in the Mystic Falls era. In New Orleans, however, they had both grown, and they seemed more comfortable in the other's presence (I still don't think they would have lasted as a couple, as I say in this post) so if they wanted to persue a romance then, go ahead.

But back to the point, Klaus was literally being an asshole in love talking about the smell of Aurora's hair and writing love letters to her: he was down bad for the woman, and it's canon that her breaking his heart is what made him the ruthless and abusive bitch we all know in canon ("you knew that your secret betrayal was the cause of everything i became" 3x05, said by Klaus to Elijah in a rather hypocrite fight).

And it's not like he got over her as his life continued: he painted her, eight hundred years after their breakup, and judging by the fact he said it became the tomb of his memories of her, he probably painted her a thousand of times before. When he showered her that painting, a millennium later, he confessed that thinking he could forget her is one of his biggest mistakes, meaning that while he was flirting with Cami and Care he still hadn't gotten over his first love. And with the way he was looking at her, I doubt it was a lie.

And they literally started being together again not even a day after she showed up in New Orleans. He didn't give a damn about Camille, or Caroline. His "however long it takes" or his "I would have found you" were completely forgotten in his mind, his own sister was kidnapped by her and he couldn't care less because he was busy showing her New Orleans, something Lucien pointed out.

Elijah noticed as well, because the whole "Do you love her" wasn't directed towards Camille, and with the way Klaus answered his question it was clear. And Klaus also asked him to never say Aurora's name in his presence (I like to think that being the little shit he is Kol always said her name whenever he was around and that's why he got daggered so much, but that's a personal headcanon of mine).

Klaus only lashed out at her when he found out Rebekah was at the bottom of the ocean (Emma who lmao), not safe as Aurora had promised him after fucking. And he did say he intented to keep his love promises to her, made in the modern world, hence bye bye his two blonde lovers (also, the fact that they resemble Rebekah so much, his favorite sibling who he's always been obssesed with, it’s so fucking weird).

He didn't chose Camille or Caroline over her, Aurora pushed him to it and he seemed pretty upset about it in the whole episode of their dramatic breakup. And Camille did say more than once she believed Klaus still loved Aurora, something Klaus didn't actually deny (he said he didn't care about her, that's all.)

I know Klaus did love Camille, he did even after a decade of her death, and I know he was obssesed with Caroline, but I personally believe that the one he loved the most has always been Aurora.

Funny enough, in 3x18, after her murdering Camille, his actual love interest, turning her into a vampire, and trying to kill his whole family, he didn't even try to pull away when she leaned to kiss him. He could have tried to bite her, or to back away, but he didn't.

And don't even get me started on him keeping her alive even after the serum left her sistem. Klaus couldn't kill her, and he was clearly distraught when Hayley inyected her that serum to send her to sleep. This fucker couldn't kill her, and he needed his girlfriends to do it.

Anyways, ik this is a unpopular opinion, but I always found the messed up dynamic of Klaurora so entertaining to watch. Aurora loved him until her death, and I think he continued to love her until his as well, knowing how much of a obssesed yandere he is.

Who cooks meals for the other? They don't cook. They do fight over who is in charge of telling the staff what to cook for dinner. Klaus likes to be in control, but Aurora feels it's her duty as lady of the house. This then leads to an argument when Klaus says that Rebekah is the lady of the house. Apologies are offered in the form of jewelry.

Who asked the other to move in with them? Honestly Aurora just moved herself in. Klaus didn't get a choice. He blinked and suddenly his bedroom had a second walk in closet and Elijah's room was somehow smaller

Who is in charge of the music during a car ride? Klaus and Aurora is upset about it

Who is more likely to tickle the other mercilessly? Tickle fights are not their thing

Who needs to hold the other during scary movies? They're both insufferable talking about how ridiculous the whole thing is. Then they go out and make people live out the plot in a better version

Who has to help the other when it comes to technology? Klaus knows how to use all of the technology that he wants to use. Aurora tries to teach him other things. Thus far, the only useful thing he's learned is find my friends which Aurora did not teach him. Strix kept showing up where they were and after Freya confirmed it wasn't a tracking spell, Aurora reluctantly explained that she and Tristan compromised and she agreed to leave find my friends on for him. Now she has to leave it on for Klaus. So really, Tristan taught them.

Who always gets up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and accidentally wakes up the other? They're both capable of moving quietly when they wish.

Sabine's foot tapped impatiently on the cold ground from her spot next to the T-6 which had bought her and the others to Illum. Eyes going between the datapad in her hands and the hull of the ship, she barely took note of her Master watching her from the bottom of the ramp.

"It would be warmer if you waited inside, you know?"

Ashoka pulls her robes around herself a little tighter, watching as the Mandalorian doesn't move from her place, continuing to scan the metal above her.

"Thibgs to do out here... Readings inside weren't making me feel very safe, so... Thought I'd... Check..." Sabine mutters in response, her words rolling away quietly as she keeps her attention purposefully away.

Shaking her head a little, Ashoka walks toward her padawan, head facing the ground as she speaks once more.

"She left the cave fine, you know. And she'll be done soon."

Sabine sighs and finally looks towards the older woman.

"I know, I just... She barely said anything when she came out of that place earlier. And it doesn't take this long to build a lightsabrer. I'm..."

She pauses for a moment.

"...I'm worried she found an answer in there. Like, with her crystal. She was nervous enough deciding to come here and replace what she had, and I know she's not been totally sure of herself recently-"

"Once you're in that cave," Ashoka interrupts, "there isn't any sureness. It can be a dangerous place. But you know she made it out, and that the force guided her. Trust in it like she has."

Sabine nodded, though her nerves kept her foot tapping, albeit slower now.

"You're right. I just... Have a bad feeling about all this."

"Don't."

The two women turn to the new voice, a slight smile sitting peacefully on Shin's face as she stands where Ashoka had before. In her hand, about the same length of her previous weapon, she holds her newly constructed lightsabrer. A strip of leather is wrapped around a black metallic handle matching a similarly coloured beskar crossguard.

All nerves leaving Sabine's body at the sight of her, and the smile spreading to her own face, she watches as Shin takes the hilt in both hands, taking a breath before raising it before herself and the others. In a flash of light and a sound of ignition, yellow flies from the handle into a tall blade, the gentle yet triumphant hum carried across the otherwise silent landscape of ice and snow.

Not even Sabine's breath, hitched in her throat at the sight of the sunlight bouncing from the planet's surfaces to engulf Shin in an aurau of light, the blade between them lifted high like the tail of a ship sailing across the stars. She steps towards her, passing a proud looking Ashoka.

"It's... Are you happy?"

Shin nods, moving her gaze of admiration to Sabine.

"I'm happy."

Our mood board workshops welcomed the public and asked them to bring photographs and personal possessions from their family archives or be inspired by the many colourful stories we have unearthed during research for the BTCOTC project to use as a starting point to create a mood board about the life and times of their family members or historical figures. @themixedmuseum This mood board explores the short and tragic life of Princess Omdutel of Oude Buried At @paddington.old.cemetery created by our highly engaged workshop participants. Her grave is inscribed: “Sacred to the memory of Princess Omdutel Aurau Begum, daughter of the late General Mirza Sekunder Hishmut Bahadur, Brother to His Majesty King of Oude, who died 14th April 1858 aged 18 months.” With help from local artist Warren Reilly, participants pulled references from the images to help gain insights into their own or Brent’s mixed race and multicultural history. By the end of the workshop, participants had created a finalised Mood board which they could continue to add to or refine in their own time. Most people know the Librarian as the demure, quiet young woman who does little more than guard a room full of books all day. Few know she could have become so much more to the people of Wonderland. She was almost their princess. Bluebelle’s family was always loyal to the Crimson throne, her father was one of the Crimson King’s most loyal knights until the day he passed. To thank the family for their loyalty, the King asked Bluebelle’s mother for her hand in marriage. Her mother ultimately denied his proposal, she claimed something about desiring a more simple lifestyle than that of the throne, and Bluebelle had always just gone along with it. What Bluebelle has yet to realize is that while the Everetts’ near-royal experience is kept secret to most, it may not be the only one her mother is hiding.

The Fisherman’s Daughter: Friends since childhood, Bluebelle has always had a strong connection with the Fisherman’s Daughter. Their fathers were friends long before either of them were ever born, so the two children becoming friends just always seemed inevitable. Growing up Bluebelle liked to think of the girl as the younger sister she never got to have, the two often finding trouble and mischief together in their childhood. Now as adults, while they’ve both matured, their friendship is just as strong as it was when they were children; they’re nearly inseparable, and Bluebelle can’t imagine her life without her.

The Schoolteacher: Having always had a passion for children, the Librarian and the Schoolteacher have worked closely together for quite some time now. Together they’ve developed a reading program for the children within the school, and Bluebelle often visits the schoolhouse, whether to assist the schoolteacher’s classes or to invite children to the library to borrow books. Bluebelle believes they work well together and she admires their passion for teaching, but she has yet to admit to herself she may feel just a bit more than admiration for the teacher.

Chanson the Chaotic: Bluebelle has always been one to lend a helping hand, even to a stranger, so when a poor man showed up at the library one day, obviously in need of help, Belle simply could not turn them away. After a bit of convincing, the Librarian and her mother were able to invite Chanson to stay in their home whenever they wished. Belle doesn’t see them every night, but periodically Chanson will stop by for a meal and maybe a sofa to sleep on. Bluebelle doesn’t know much about them, she’s never been one to pry, but she hopes one day the mysterious stranger will allow her to learn more about their life and where they came from.

The Everetts were always the perfect little family when Bluebelle was growing up. Being an only child, she was very close with both her parents, who loved her and cared for her in every way they could. In her earliest years, Belle recalls their family not having a lot of wealth. Her father worked as a blacksmith’s apprentice while her mother stayed home to care for her. After the Crimson King was crowned, Atticus Everett took a chance and became a Crimson knight, believing it would give him the opportunity to provide a better life for his family.

Atticus served as knight, loyal to the Crimson King, for almost a decade. Bluebelle remembers the job keeping him away from home longer than she liked, but that just made her value the time she did spend with him even more. No matter how long or difficult his day had been, she always saw a smile on his face when she greeted him at the front door of their home, until one day Atticus never showed up. Bluebelle’s mother, Eden, told her not to worry; reassured her that some jobs that knights do require them to be gone all night, her father would return home in the morning. Eden wouldn’t let Bluebelle answer the door when they heard a knock the next morning.

Wonderland remembers day one of the biggest windstorm in history as it shook the land, but Bluebelle remembers that day for being the only time she’s seen her mother in hysterics. Thirteen-year-old Belle watched as her mother collapsed on the floor at the presence of two unfamiliar Crimson Knights at the door. The woman who was always so poised, so in control, now a disheveled mess on the floor, screaming and crying at the loss of her love. It took a few minutes for Bluebelle to begin crying, her shock overtaking her at first: shock at both the death of her father and the sight of her mother in a state she had never seen before.

A few weeks after her father’s death, Bluebelle noticed a large group of Crimson Knights heading towards the direction of their home, a group large enough to accompany royalty, she assumed the king was stopping by to pay his respects. It wasn’t until a few days after his visit that Eden told her daughter the king tried to ask for her hand in marriage, to which she respectfully declined. Her mother explained to her that it was because she wanted to live a simpler life after the loss of her husband, and that they weren’t to ever speak on the subject again.

After a few months of mourning, Eden was able to develop an income working as a seamstress out of their own home, having learned the skill from her parents. By the time Bluebelle was eighteen, her mother had her own shop at which she helped run. She loved working with her mother, but she dreamed of finding her own purpose, her own way of helping Wonderland be better. Right around that time a new public library was built not too far from their home, and Bluebelle, always a fan of books and reading, jumped at the chance to help run it. She worked closely with the palace librarian for about a year, learning how to keep the library running and how to help people find books they would enjoy, and soon after that the public library was hers.

Bluebelle has loved running the library this whole time, and her mother loves that it has kept her daughter busy these past few years, as it’s bought her more time to keep her secret hidden. While it is a big secret that the king once proposed to Eden all those years ago, there’s an even bigger secret between the mother and daughter that Eden’s been able to keep for Belle’s whole life.

Unbeknownst to Belle, Eden has been hiding the fact that they are in fact Aurai, rare creatures most people in Wonderland believe to be extinct. As most Aurai were executed during the reign of Hearts, Eden believed it was safer for her daughter to not be aware of what she was, and has been feeding her a substance to suppress her abilities since shortly after she was born. She meant to tell her when she was older, but it never seemed like it would be the right time to have that kind of conversation. Now that Bluebelle is an adult, her abilities are most likely fully developed and she has no idea she even has them, let alone how to use them. When she first started suppressing her daughter’s abilities, it was because she feared the outside world would be a danger to her, but now she fears Bluebelle may end up being the danger.
