Avengers AU

Okay, so this one is complicated 😂. Me and my friend @bexlynne never fully figured out which characters should go where and debated for a long time about who should be Cap. It was between Davey and Spot. I think we decided Davey.

So here’s a little snippet of the list right now with the characters we know for sure (also note that I have a lot of different Avengers AU ideas and all of the characters are switched around plenty).

This is what I have 😂. I know there’s a lot left out. I’m gonna give you the basics of the original gang-

Jack Kelly

Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.

He is a cocky, sarcastic, brilliant man who was orphaned at fifteen while studying at MIT and left a fortune by his father

He’s a womanizer when he younger.

He takes over his father’s company, continuing to design weapons and armors and make more money.

One day, while travelling to advertise his creations, he gets caught in a booby trap and is captured by enemy forces. He is severely injured and wakes up to find himself strapped to a car battery. The other man who had been taken hostage, a physicist, explains that the battery is the only thing keeping the shrapnel in his chest from reaching his heart.

Jack manages to escape, only because the physicist gives up his own life to protect him.

Jack is only twenty one when this happens.

Jack blames himself for the other man’s death.

All in all, Jack slowly becomes mentally unstable and more and more depressed after this incident.

Jack’s assistant, Katherine Plumber, a woman he’s always been infatuated with but never acted on, does her best to take care of him and help him with whatever he needs.

Jack does his best to push her away.

It doesn’t work.

Jack is in pain a lot as he makes himself a battery to keep the shrapnel away from his heart, knowing he can’t remove it without getting himself killed

He creates the iron man suit when someone threatens him and his company and him personally and tries to tell the media that Iron Man is his personal body guard, only for him to have a meeting with the press and come clean, blatantly stating, “I am Iron Man” to the public.

Jack never had a great relationship with his father, James Kelly (who he is in fact named after) and finds that his father was obsessed with this hero who died years ago called Capitan America

Jack spends his whole life trying to live up to this legend of a man as a child and it eventually becomes the real strain on Jack’s relationship with his dad.

When Jack first finds out his parents are dead, he tried like hell to find their murderer who shot them in their own car after running them off the road.

Eventually he gives up, believe it to be a random murder

When A Miss Medda Larkin approaches him about something called the “Avenger’s initiative” he turns it down immediately.

Once he gets dragged into it, as he likes to think (forces his way back in, is how it actually works) and he meets the rest of the team, he ends up forming a sort of makeshift family with them and does his best to make sure he is the one in the most danger at all times, wanting to spare the rest of their lives

He loves his team, even if he won’t say it.

David Jacobs

Was born prematurely and grew up small. He was malnourished and scrawny and short than everyone around him.

His little brother Les grew to be taller than him and stronger than him and David feels inferior to him, even though he loves his little brother like nothing else

David’s dream has always been to fight for his country.

Les gets to. David, no matter how many fake names he uses and how many tests he tries to pass, does not.

During examination that David is sure he’s going to be arrested at, he is approached by a scientist who asks him odd questions but eventually tells him that he’s going to go to war to defend his country. And David is ecstatic.

Though Davey is not the strongest, he proves to be the smartest and bravest and most worthy soldier at training camp. The reason he’s there is so that the scientist that approached him before can conduct an experiment on him and make him into a super soldier

Davey agrees

David is made into a super soldier, but instead of becoming an actual soldier becomes more of an add for patriotism.

Until one day he hears about a group of soldiers that are captures not far from the camp he’s set to entertain at.

Les is one of the captured soldiers

David goes against his orders and tracks down the hostages, freeing them all and finding his little brother strapped down to a table like some kind of experiment

Les is confused when he sees that his brother is actually taller and stronger than him.

They only barely manage to back it out of the collapsing building alive.

After this, Davey does get to fight against Nazi forces. He fights against several attacks with his brother as his right hand man and a woman named Peggy who he’s falling in love with

One of the missions that Davey is sent on with Les gets them into a moving train, which Les is shot in just before he falls out of the car down a cliff. He is reported dead.

David blames himself for this

Another attack ends with David in a plane, trying to save an entire city of people by diving down into the ocean. He talks to Peggy as he goes under, promising her a dance as neither of them have ever had the opportunity to slow dance with someone before.

He wakes up 70 years later

David is practically dragged into the Avengers.

He never truly gets used to the 21st century.

He and Jack do not get off to a great start

David is physically only three or four years older than Jack but Jack still calls him “old man”

David grows very close to the team he is given.

He’d protect them all with his life.

Racetrack Higgins

Antonio Higgins was orphaned in Russia when he was three years old.

He was found by an organization that took him and claimed him as their own.

Growing up, he was brainwashed and heavily trained in combat and in interrogation techniques.

Antonio Higgins was named after he was found. He doesn’t know his birth name.

Antonio was raised to be one of the most lethal Russian spies in history. He was basically psychologically programmed with false memories to ensure his loyalty to the organization

Race was brainwashed to believe he’d been a ballerina

Antonio is sent to the US to break into Kelly Industries and basically frame Jack for starting a terrorist attack.

Antonio is met with Iron Man instead.

Iron Man never gets a good look at him, but ultimately Antonio gets injured and runs. He lays low for a couple days only to be met with an ex-criminal now working for an organization called SHEILD. Who eventually becomes Race’s only friend and convinces Race to leave the people that raised him behind him.

After only a few months away from that, Antonio is recaptured and brainwashed all over again.

He’s sent to the US again only to be met with his only friend who held him break free of the control that this organization had over his mind and Antonio eventually is recruited by SHEILD as one of their best informants and combat specialists

Once Antonio becomes apart of the Avengers, Jack, who met him as a geeky assistant to Katherine a few months ago while undercover, calls him Race because he’s so quick

Race becomes close with the entire team, almost more so than the others as he’d grown up with no one to rely on but himself. Race is younger than Jack when he meets him. It amazed them all how much he’s been through.

Yes Race and Davey go through all the events of winter soldier and yes they are still like brothers when it’s all over, but Race discovers that it’s okay to have feelings for a man (even if that man isn’t David)

The first time Race can ever recall crying is after the events of Infinity War

Hot Shot

Luca Romano began as a normal kid.

He is orphaned when he was young, much like Race, only he has a brother.

His brother and him run away and join the circus where they are taken under the wing of a swordsman

Luca learns a lot about acrobatics and pickpocketing tricks.

This swordman eventually teaches Luca how to shoot a bow and arrow. This becomes Luca favorite trick and a talent he practices at for years to perfect.

He never misses.

A couple years after meeting this swordsman, Luca figures out that this man is a wanted criminal who he tried to turn over to the police

The man turned on him immediately and tries to kill him.

Eventually, the swordsman gets away and Luca’s brother follows him, stating that he’d rather have a warm bed and hot meal than the morals that Luca did

So Luca is on his own.

He stays at the circus and is known as Hawkeye, the world’s greatest marksman

Luca only ever wanted to help people. However, after a misunderstanding, he is perceived as a criminal and runs to not be taken into police custody

He’s seen hovering over a man who’d been stabbed and was bleeding out on the ground. He’d only been trying to help

SHEILD had an agent out at the time, watching the crime and going in to stop it. That’s when they found him. They brought him in. Luca thinks they’re arresting him. But they’re recruiting him.

They train him. Since he’s young, they basically help raise him. (He’s in his mid teens when they find him)

Eventually he’s sent out to find a spy that had broken into Kelly Industries. He’s told to eliminate him. And at this point, they’d taught him that sometimes bad people needed to be taken care of.

So he had every intention in doing it.

Until he met Antonio

Antonio reminded him of himself. Alone. Lied to. Nowhere to go. So he tried to help him. And they got close until Antonio was taken away

Luca makes it his goal to find Antonio (who is younger than him and reminds him of his little brother)

It takes about a year for that to happen

Once Hawkeye becomes an Avenger, Jack gives him the nickname “Hot Shot”

Hot Shot basically ends up being one of the most responsible avengers. He ends up having a family that only Race knows about and basically adopts Race as a little brother and teaches him the difference between good and bad

I love the Hawkeye/Blackwidow relationship

Spot Conlon

Sean Conlon is a brilliant scientist

During an experiment with a gamma bomb, he sees a teenager accidentally driving onto the range and rushed to save him by shoving him into a trench, but takes the gamma hit himself

He wakes up without a scratch

But that night, after one too many reporters manages to piss him off, he transforms into a big green monster, unable to control himself and destroying his own home.

Sean grew up an orphan. Passed from foster home to foster home. He grew up with issues already. Anger management issues, being one of them.

He’s horrified at the thought of hurting someone but has always been unable to control his fits of rage.

He tries to let his boss’s company take him in, expecting them to kill him if they can’t reverse whatever was done to him

After hundreds of tests and more torture than anything else, Sean tries to off himself, only to transform and have “the other guy” spit the bullet out of his throat.

Rather than try to continue fighting this curse he’s been given, he breaks out of the facility he’s locked in and focuses strongly on helping others rather than hurting them.

He travels all over the world and puts his scientific knowledge to use as he tries to cure diseases in other countries.

Sean avoids any relationship he can, not wanting to get close to people that he could potentially cause harm to

That’s why, when years later he finds himself being followed, he tries to scare the person off

Only to find a young man who escaped his every attempt at losing him

Though, he does manage to scare Race by pretending to get ready to transform. Race pretends not to be phased, even though he jumped

He gets dragged into the avengers and starts to fall for Race who is even more emotionless than he is.

Or at least, pretends to be

Titans: A Summary

If I had to write a description for Titans based on what I’ve seen so far...this is basically what happened, right?

Small, lovable Goth Child befriends Tired Motor City Cop with a heart of gold and an obligatory Tragic Backstory after she, too, experiences her own Tragic Backstory. (And throws a rock at a cop car.) Whilst travelling across the country, Goth Child samples gas station and diner cuisine and gets kidnapped every other day by varying parties with their Own Motives.

Tired Motor City cop balks at the prospects of being a parent to a (sweetheart) demon-child and does his Best to get out of it. He does this by trying to dump her with his friends, Khaleesi and Gloss (the guy from Catching Fire who’s played by the same actor) who take Goth Girl shopping, encourage her to watch Game of Thrones, and both have Mixed Feelings about Tired Motor City Cop. Khaleesi and Gloss are dating each other. They, like Tired Motor City Cop, are also bird-enthusiasts. For the exact same reason, it turns out.

(Goth child befriends anyone who will feed her, and that’s perfectly understandable.)

Goth Child is kidnapped by a Creepy White Family, who beat up Tired Motor City Cop and Gloss, and threw Khalessi off a roof. They also squished Khaleesi’s birds. Which is Not Cool. They forced Goth Child to go with them on a Road Trip, which is understandably terrifying. But not as terrifying as being locked in a Public Restroom. Luckily, she is saved by a lady with fire powers and amazing curly magenta hair. The White Family finds themselves in need of a new father figure, since the old one fell victim to the average American Dad’s favorite pastime: Barbequing. To get one, they must go to Professor Omelet.

Professor Omelet tells them he is Very Disappointed, but makes them breakfast anyway. Which is a relief, because Breakfast is the Most Important Meal of the Day.

Magenta Girl (I like Kori’s look, don’t @ me) kidnaps Goth Child but ends up feeding her, so they become friends and go on a quest to find Magenta Girl’s memories. Because if I woke up in Vienna with the power to barbeque people, I, too, would have many questions. Their journey involves chicken waffles, beating the crap out of jerks, and visiting the local convent. Meanwhile, Tired Motor City Cop is losing his mind looking for Goth Child because he realized that Maybe he can Actually Do the Parent Thing After All.

Goth Child blows up the convent. This may have religious repercussions.

She is rescued and kidnapped by a Tiger Boy (who was previously seen using his powers to steal video games, which is probably what any teenage boy would do under the exact same circumstances). The duo scares the living crap out of a pair of drunk hunters, resurrects a deer, then runs to an ‘Abandoned’ Mansion in the Woods. For some reason, it does not occur to Goth Child that following a strange boy--who just turned into a friggin’ tiger--to a dark basement might be a Dumb Idea. Tiger Boy does his best to hide her, but she is discovered by Race Car Robot, and introduced to the rest of Tiger Boy’s roommates. There’s the Mummy, who is an excellent chef, and Human Blob (I love Rita, don’t get me wrong!) who, likely due to copyright issues from Disney, will not be called Elastigirl. They eat ridiculous amounts of food, making them Goth Child’s new best friends, and cross their fingers hoping that their RA will not come home early. But of course he does.

RA tries to experiment on Goth Child. Tiger Boy tries to fight back but gets shot with a dart. Luckily, Goth Child’s Inner Demons come to her rescue, along with Tired Motor City Cop and Magenta Girl, who both bonded over the mutual fear of losing their small demon cinnamon roll. After that, they steal Tiger Boy.

The new family buys a minivan. Tired Motor City Cop pretends that this is Okay, even though this is a major step down from the Porsche he stole from his Problematic Father Figure. They drive to a motel, where the lady behind the counter flirts with the Tired Motor City Cop, much to his dismay. He doesn’t have time for Romance, only Parenthood now.

Their First Family Outing is a talent show in a barn. Magenta Girl turns orange and shoots fire. She was supposed to hit a tractor, but instead blows a hole in the side of the barn. This is lucky, because a tractor would explode and a wall would not. Tiger Boy strips and turns into a tiger. Tired Motor City Cop is Terrified; he’s not sure what he signed up for, but it wasn’t this. (He will admit that it’s pretty awesome, though) He adds ‘keep teenage son from eating people’ to his ever-expanding to-do list. Goth Child shows off her Inner Demons. It is decided that she needs more practice. The new family wants their dad to show them his tricks, but Tired Motor City Cop merely sighs, ‘my special power is keeping you all alive’.

What they don’t know is that Tired Motor City Cop is actually Acrobat Kid, who was adopted by Shifty Capitalist after the deaths of his parents. Goth Child saw Acrobat Kid in a dream, but doesn’t realize that he’s actually Bird Boy. Tired Motor City Cop tries to hide his shameful past, but can’t resist cosplaying as Bird Boy whenever the mood strikes him.

Tiger Boy and Goth Child bond. Tired Motor City Cop and Magenta Girl bond by watching their children bond. Magenta Girl is frustrated by Tired Motor City Cop and his Secrets, but decides to sleep with him instead of looking to deeply into it. Because Why Not? Instead of pillow talk, the couple enjoys fending off an attack from the Creepy White Family, featuring a new Father Figure who is even creepier than the first one. Which is actually saying something.

They are cornered, and Tired Motor City Cop is forced to show off his birdsona. Now, his family understands why he was keeping it a secret.

They interrogate the Creepy White Family. Tired Motor City Cop decides to go and confront Professor Omelet by himself. Professor Omelet blows up the Creepy White Family. Tired Motor City Cop threatens to shove Professor Omelet’s face in a crepe, which doesn’t sound very Pleasant. Ninjas attack them, but a Mysterious Figure comes to the rescue. Tired Motor City Cop realizes with horror that the Mysterious Figure is wearing his birdsona. The Mysterious Figure is actually Bird Boy The Sequel.

Bird Boy The Sequel takes them both to a Safe House owned by the Shifty Capitalist, otherwise known as their Problematic Father Figure. Problematic Father Figure not only changed the locks, but put a tracker in both of his sons to Keep an Eye On Them At All Times. Tired Motor City Cop doesn’t like this, but he likes the idea of Bird Boy The Sequel even less. When he hears that Bird Boy The Sequel tried to steal hubcaps off the Problematic-o-bile, he begins to wonder if every angsty child vandalizes cars for fun. Does this mean he needs to watch over Bird Boy The Sequel, too, now?

The answer is Absolutely, because Bird Boy The Sequel is just as Problematic as their Problematic Father Figure. If not more. Because Bird Boy the Sequel snaps peoples spines now (unlike their Problematic Father Figure, who just gets his spine snapped). He also hates cops. Tired Motor City Cop is obviously conflicted about this.

Goth Girl tries Her Best to control Tiger Boy, who is busy fangirling and wants to be the next Bird Boy. But he can’t, since he can only turn into tigers. Tired Motor City Cop performs surgery on his arm in the bathroom, and pulls out the tracker, which looks Suspiciously like a watch battery.

Tired Motor City Cop and Bird Boy The Sequel stop a murderer who is the son of the murderer who murdered Acrobat Boy’s parents, who was then murdered by mobsters. Bird Boy The Sequel turns out to be Very Violent. He and Tired Motor City Cop have a fight, and Bird Boy The Sequel says he can do whatever he wants because dad isn’t watching, and storms off.

Tired Motor City Cop is Tired.

And that’s as far as I got. I’ll probably do more as I keep watching. I’m loving it so far, and if you can, you should all definitely check it out!

Thank you for this Moment - CR2 fanfic

I thank you for all the lives you've led I thank you for every word you said. Even in death Mollymauk is dreaming, and sometimes he dreams of battle.

If Mollymauk Tealeaf was a big thinker with some tidbits of philosophical introspection, he would have agreed that his situation is kind of, for a lack of better word, fucked up.

Indeed waking up in a grave was one thing, feeling the growing void was another. The past of this body on the tip of his tongue. Mollymauk first breaths on earth was the witness of an erasure, an identity slipping, giving more questions without answers, or at least answer he would have to create, could create, should create... If he stopped ignoring them.

Mollymauk was not a smart boy, but he did have good instinct, he knows where to not dig, where not to poke, how to deliver wisdom or pretend to be until kick him for being an arse. He does know how to fail because for all the deeds that this body has done it only ended up killing it, letting it die alone, buried in an anonymous grave, cast away from any kin or civilization, whatever Lucien searched for it was is definitely not worth it.

But still, there’s something dreading and sad, in not knowing, being denied the learning process, parents and family, being denied the choice made for this body, for this face and having to face the consequences. That sucks.

Beau grabbed the collar of his coat, yanked him towards a dark alley, she was never gentle but the urgency of the situation made her look more caring than either of them would admit. Her eyes are wide and shiny, was she crying ? Molly wouldn’t know for sure. She is swearing a lot, classic Beauregard, forcing him to climb the fence. Painfully he did, muttering that of all the thing he is he ain’t a bloody acrobat but a yell stopped him dead on his tracks, a barbarian screams, desperate, like he never heard of, chilling to his bones. He waited a beat. Before trying to bolt towards Yasha, he was stopped dead on his tracks by Beau Bo’s staff, Nearly snarling tears in her eyes.

“Don’t. You. Dare”

He didn’t

“Now move” and she pushed him further down the path.

As much as an hedonist he was, he didn’t like the world he was brought in, it was shallow, dirty, full of awful people who doesn’t understand morals or ethics. Who only look at his horns and sneered at the pact made in his bloodline. Who only looked at his tattoos and judged on its forms and shape? Trying to decode what obviously was an aesthetic choice but then again. He disliked the world because it judge so much how one present themselves but never how one choose to act. He looked up to Beauregard, she was always and always will be a front runner, a fast guardian and a trusted friend. If he didn’t knew any better he would wonder why the fuck she was shielding him in the shadows, helping him run away when the others were fighting.

For him.

He loved her for helping, for trying. He hated her for the same reason. He looked toward the inn he was trying to flee, not seeing anyone he cared about. Maybe they were all running away, Maybe Yasha is okay, maybe his lost sins wasn’t cause of such sorrow.

And something exploded. Nott screaming, jumping in impossible height. Probably blasted away by the keg of powder she thrown, Fjord expertly throwing an eldritch blast.

Nott was angry, furious, her deformed by the bravery that moved her. He sometimes wished to be protected like Nott is protecting Caleb, fierce like no other. He never thought he would be the cause of her bravery.

He was on the roof observing for two second the chaos, Fjord said a little of how he wasn’t accepted and loved by his pairs, yet again he still tried to be the best version of himself, keep abiding the rules of the world and somehow wishing the best of people. Despite how much it made him hurt himself. Fjord was here, standing, dabbling with evil and good. Fjord was so much better than he was sometimes.

Mollymauk Tealeaf thanks him for that. For the example. For the joy of seeing that he wasn’t the only failing at trying to be better.

He was alone on the roof, Beau nowhere to be seen, she must have heard the explosion and wanted to make sure that Nott and Fjord was ok. He didn’t even attempted to follow her, she was faster and bolder than him.

Someone was behind him, who stealthily followed them, he perceived it with little time to unsheathes one of the scimitar and made it glow passing the blade on his thumb, the warm liquid tainting now his beautiful handmade coat. He didn’t minded it, he had the skills to do it once, he will have the skills to do it again. He just have to stay alive, one more day.

The bounty hunter was there, unrecognizable from when he first met her, it must be her carb like armor, which was quite fancy that changed most of her demeanor. he also thought that he would love to have some armor in this instance because well… A shirt… Anyway.

The lady stayed still, the monkey jumping on her shoulder, its glowing eyes fixated on him. Mollymauk snorted.

“If you are trying to get me you should be more active, I will fight despite the...” he swinged the scimitar “the drunkenness. Because I ain’t ready to die”

She was a drow, able to lead a team of bounty hunters as efficiently. Tactfully separating all of them. Just to get him.

Lucien.

Nonagon.

She was a sight to see. Introduced herself as Deesha Kyr, traveler and troubadour of lost causes, she sang the praise of idiots and humored Jester with a ballad for her gorgeous eyes. She was a delight, her team too, sharing drinks and sharing laughs. They waited for all of the Mighty Nein to get enough drunk and when it was the case she pulled a notebook, going down a few pages and Molly remembered that at this moment, her friends looking up, sobering up and getting ready. He remembered Deesha looking straight into his eyes and asking, how many red eyes his body was wearing.

“Uh.”

And Jester screamed, the whole mess started.

On the roof, Deesha pointed two fingers toward him, the monkey growled and when it screamed a yellow whips of mana left her fingers touching him. He braced for a negative effect that didn’t come, and was immediately attacked by a swing of a rapier that nearly sliced open his torso. He barely blocked the next wave of attacks. He wasn’t sharp, he couldn’t fight back as adamantly as he would like to. He could feel himself slipping, barely managing to fight back. He wished for help that wouldn’t come. Like the fireball that was hurling toward the bounty hunter, illuminating her white locks with bright red.

She wasn’t able to avoid it. She took the most of it in the face, blasting her away, her stupid monkey with her. Mollymauk dumbfounded looked toward the source of the spells seeing Caleb in the mist of the chaos before getting pushed away by the crowd fleeing the ruckus.

Mollymauk gave him a thumbs up. ”You are the best” He thought he hopes, loudly enough to reach.

For all the stupid things Mollymauk as done at least he accomplished enough to be surrounded by friends that got his back and fancy jewelry, fancy jewelry is always a plus. He was joyful, thankful.

Weirdly, he thinks of Jester, he thinks of her smile. Of her hope. As she skipped ahead and casted banishment on the poor lady.

He was so grateful for her help, for how she brought them all together the Mighty Nein. How they could keep fighting together. How he wasn’t able to save her.

“What are dreaming about ? Fights ? Are you not tired of those ?” Gustav asked.

Mollymauk watched over the last second of Jester smiling. “I wasn’t able to finish the last one. I feel like I failed them”

“You didn’t, you tried, it is enough.”

Mollymauk smiled fondly at Gustav who kept a neutral face.

“Thank you my lady of the moon and shadows, I just miss them.”

“And they miss you”
