lifting ideas is so good within reason tbh.
like, obviously not including the entitlement of plagiarism/copying something wholesale, ripping off wips people shared with you, or works usually done by marginalised creators and taking their popularity through a more "palatable" image (I feel these go w/o saying, but I know better than to not add a million caveats in throwaway statements).
but just a little pinch of inspiration, without the worry of "oh this person already did this idea I like first, so I must make up something entirely original". impossible. release yourself from the deviantart forbidden closed species colour palette/name/pose theft mind-set.

Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful!!! Platypuses are weird. Platypuses? Platypi? Platypeople? Eh, you know what I mean? They're weird. If they didn't actually exist, you might think they were fiction or a hoax. Hell, scientists from the past certainly did. I mean, they're mammals with a duck's bill, a beaver's tail, and webbed feet with the females laying eggs and the males having venomous spurs on their hind legs. That's wild, right? Yes, but the truth is that doesn't matter. Why? Cause they're just so gosh darn adorable. I mean, look at that cuddly face. They're awesome too. They even have electro-receptors in their beaks that allow them to swim perfectly underwater without sight, smell, or hearing. So yeah, these semi-aquatic egg laying mammals of action may seem weird but they're definitely wonderful through and through (and yes, I couldn't think of a way to write this without Phineas and Ferb references...or maybe I just didn't want to. Yeah, it's the latter)

Does Johnny have a favorite movie he's made?
Tumblr media
Well,   aside from Ninja Mime,   and his tendency for extravagance and to brag about every movie he was in,   Johnny personally,   and secretly,   prefers the movies that required authentic martial art styles and well choreographed fighting sequences,   some of those are :   Dragon Fist 1   &.   2,   Son of Dragon Fist,   Exiting the Dragon of Death,   7 Poisons,   Iron claw,   24 Karate Gold.   After all,   he was and still is a Martial artist before he is an actor,   and admittedly,   his first movies weren't a hit because of his acting,   he gained fame through showcasing his skills as a fighter.   Despite his poor performance in delivering lines when he began acting,   he was still highly requested in upcoming action movies because of what he could offer and the fact that he doesn't rely on stunt doubles to do the work,   it was all him and he makes a point of maintaining that work ethic to this day.   When he had gotten to love the profession,   [   provided that it was a combination of the two things he loved most,   cinema magic and action   ],   he took on acting lessons and starred in what some became award winning movies,   but the one that holds a special place for him is   sudden violence,   it was when he had began to truly enjoy acting,   the crew and cast were the amazing to work with,   he enjoyed the process through and though.   The movie got him the breakthrough he needed in his career   &.   his very first award,   he was still young and an entire horizon of possibilities had just opened for him,   he feels like he owes his success to that movie in particular.

You know that feeling when a short story you read in English Class gives you an idea for your own sci-fi story...
so obviously you have to write it...
so obviously you have to make a conlang for the aliens (I mean, how else are you gonna give them names?)...
so obviously you then have to make a font for their writing system and mess around with coding to get the software to do the conversion between pronunciation and romanization and your writing system correctly...
so obviously by this point you may as well translate what you've written of the sci-fi story thus far into the language...
so obviously you make a syntax tree for it...

... yeah. Same here.
