I rlly like the idea of it being blurted out during a fight, or one of the boys accidentally telling her/her hearing it from them!!

idk which of these scenarios I'm writing actually happened, but it's so fun to think of different options that I'm just gonna keep doing different ones lol

im already working on an ask about the fighting one so, I'm gonna talk ab one of the boys accidentally telling you bc I think that's so funny (and on brand)

so I think you're coming to the studio with cookies that you baked the boys, you know they've been working so hard on the album and you wanted to get them a little pick me up.

security at dirty hit know you now, you've been there loads visiting matty and picking him up so they all just say, "hi miss y/n, visiting our boys?" And you're like "ah you all know me too well, but don't worry, I brought something for you too!" and I think you whip out some banana bread, and they are all over the moon. one of them let's you up, and then runs off to make a cup of tea to enjoy with his banana bread lol

you knock tentatively on the door and hear a booming voice say, "Come in," so you stroll in to see George and Adam sitting on the sofa on their phones.

"Hi sweetheart!" comes from George, and soon enough, both of them are up giving you a hug, "what are you doing here? matty didn't mention you were coming today?"

"Oh, I didn't tell him, I baked you all some cookies and decided to surprise him!" You smile and pull the cookies out of your bag and are immediately tackled into another hug by George.

"mattys out getting lunch right now, but you are more than welcome to stay and have a cup of tea," Adam says, smiling gratefully at you before tucking into a cookie.

it's at this point when Ross walks I'm, "y/n! Nice to see you, love!" he walks around to you and pulls you in for a hug, and you smile at all of their kindness. Being accepted so quickly by all of them was amazing.

"Hi!! just here to bring cookies and see matty whenever he gets back. " Before you can finish, Ross has pulled away with an excited gasp and is looking around for the cookies.

adam laughs and passes him the box. He immediately grabs one and bites in, moaning dramatically at how good the cookie is and passing the box back to you.

"Oh no wonder, matty is in love with you. with these cookies, how could he not be?" he says with his mouth full, blissfully unaware of the bomb he dropped.

the room is silent aside from Ross' happy crunching and before long that stops too, after George thumps him on the arm.

"Dude! ow! why would you do that? " Ross whines, and both Adam and George stare at him like he's grown 3 heads. meanwhile, you're standing there holding the box of cookies like 👁👄👁

ross, George and Adam share looks for a good 10 seconds before Ross drops the remainder of his cookie dramatically and simply says, "Oh shit."

another few seconds of silence come before a jumbled mess of apologies from all 3 men, "y/n just ignore him. you know how much he loves baked things and -" "Yeah, just don't tell matty -" "IM SO SORRY. SO SO SORRY. OHMYGOD DONT TELL MATTY"

and of course, what better time for matty to walk in with 3 bags of Chinese food like, "Don't tell matty what?"

you all spin around like you've been caught in a crime, Ross even shoots his hands up instinctively. and matty shifts his eyes between the 4 of you before snapping back to you, seemingly only just realising who the 4th body in the room is.

"darling! what are you doing here, hi!" matty says, placing down the food and wrapping you up in a hug. you say frozen with the box of cookies in your hands, and matty awkwardly hugs you around it and pulls back questioningly.

"Baby, are you okay?" But before he really checks in, his eyes shift down, and he says,"Oh cookies! thank you!!"

Whilst he was quickly distracted by the cookies, he was also quickly brought back at your wide-eyed expression.

"y/n..." he says before turning around to see all 3 of his friends avoiding eye contact and "acting casual" (acting extremely suspicious)

"Why are you all acting like you've killed someone? what happened?" he asks, and before Ross can stutter out an explanation, George and Adam so helpfully butt their way in.

"ROSS TOLD Y/N YOU LOVE HER," the pair says in unison, matty makes an audible choking noise before very slowly turning to meet Ross' eyes. which were currently scanning the room for an escape route.

you place your hand on mattys shoulder, pulling him out of his shock and bringing him back to whatever the fuck was happening.

you don't say a word. Simply grab his hand and drag him to the kitchen. as he leaves, he sends the boys a scathing look, and they all have the good grace to look sheepish, especially Ross.

you lean on the counter, and matty takes a seat at the small chair in the kitchen. Silence resumes until matty tentatively says "soooo, how's work?"

you give him an incredulous look and he promptly shuts the fuck up. you move slowly and sit in the chair across from matty, he reaches over the table and grabs your hands. rubbing his thumb along the back of them soothingly.

you finally muster up the strength to talk-

"you love me"

"yes"

"...are you sure??"

matty has to stifle a small laugh before responding, "I am 100% sure my love"

"...oh" you knew, because of course you knew. but knowing it and hearing it? 2 very different things.

matty is so fucking nervous at your response and just asks, "and how do you feel about that?" because he wants to be patient and kind but he can also feel his heart in his throat right now.

"obviously I love you too, but I just wasn't expecting to hear it from Ross. and I had like a plan of when I was gonna tell you because I didn't wanna scare you off. and I know you have to think about Annie, and it's so complicated being her teacher and-"

matty stands up, pulls you up too, and calms you as he pulls you into a hug, "shh sweetheart, it's okay. You don't need to freak out." he says as his hand rubs up and down you back, trying to regulate your breathing.

"But you love me?????" You pull back and look at him like he's just said the stupidest thing ever.

"yes I love you, but you've just said you love me too so I'm really not too worried" he laughs lightly at your reaction, you had clearly not realised what you had said in your anxious ramble.

"Oh... well, of course I love you... how could I not? you're the love of my life, " you say softly, and matty feels his heart move from his throat back into his chest, and soon it starts to beat again .

"So it's easy then, right? nothing is complicated. You are the love of my life, and I'm the love of yours. See? simple."

you smile still wrapped up in his arms and respond by saying, "simple"

WORLDS ANGSTIEST FNAF SUN/MOON X READER AU BREAKDOWN:

Welcome to the synopsis of, the pawn au, OR,

the house always wins

(WARNING FOR ANGST, MANIPULATION, DEATH)

So in this AU the reader is actually just. A really ordinary person. They work as a florist. They spend weekends watching movies mostly on their own bc they don’t have a lot of friends. They’re pretty lonely overall but they try rlly hard to be a nice person. They don’t even know that their Uncle- the man who raised them- is like. The Head Dude of a huge infamous criminal organization

So one day it slips out to police that Uncle Mafia Guy has this one person he’s closer to than anyone else, and he’s been heard on multiple occasions calling them ‘the closest thing he has to an heir’

So the cops are all like 👁👁👀👀👁👀👁👁👀👀👁👀👁👀👁👁👁 at reader bc Oh My God they must know so much but they’re young and inexperienced so maybe they can catch THEM slipping up in the way the Uncle never has

So Sun and Moon are sent first to see if they can see them doing anything they can arrest them for, but the worst thing Reader does is leave food out for the stray cats of the area but instead they attract raccoons

So the cops are like. Maybe they don’t show it on their PUBLIC LIFE. mAybe,, we gotta get up in their PERSONAL life

So Sun and Moon are sent in AGAIN but this time to try n get close enough to Reader to maybe catch them slipping up enough to get valuable info

(Sun and Moon are extremely bothered and morally object to this idea, but the longer Uncle Guy is out there running his Business, the more horrible things are happening in the world, and this is the CLOSEST THING they’ve gotten to a lead in like MONTHS)

At the same time,,,,,,

Eclipse is out there. Doing OTHER Crime Boss stuff. And his biggest threat/rival is Uncle Guy and HIS business

And HE ALSO hears abt Reader and their relationship w Uncle Guy

And he’s like 👁〰️👁

So. He first tries to spy on them, gets impatient, then says “fuck it I’ll do it myself” and waltzes into Reader’s life all uwo well hello there style

So. All THREE of these idiots. Are trying to fool the reader into being comfortable enough to tell them Everything

I But Reader is just like??? Wow so many cool ppl are hanging out around me lately! WOW THEY WANNA BE MY FRIENDS!! WOWOWOOW THEYRE ARE ALL SO NICE AND THEY LIKE KNOWING ABT MY INTERESTS AND HOBBIES AND *ME*

And idiot trips and falls hard for these idiots

But then Eclipse is like “oh yes ;3” and starts swooning Reader even HARDER

So reader is like DIZZY AND CONFUSED AND FULL OF BUTTERFLIES BC OF ALL THIS ATTENTION FROM THESE THREE HIMBOS

And then. The truth slips :)

And Reader takes it fuckign HORRIBLY. Like they TRUSTED THEM. They told them about their WORST MOMENTS and the things they’ll NEVER FORGET. They told them about all their favorite things, about their dreams and their fears and their wishes. And they wanted to maybe make a future WITH these guys. Did they ever even like them at all???

So they feel broken, distraught, and extremely betrayed.

And then. :) Uncle Crimeboss shows up

the Uncle is William Afton mcfuckface. And Reader isn’t even related to him. He killed their family in a house fire and they were the only one to escape.

Reader’s Dad worked for Afton and Afton was cleaning up a mess that he wasn’t going to let happen.

He knew he couldn’t just snuff Reader, who had escaped the fire, without it looking extremely sketchy. So he adopted them! As the best friend of their dad, he felt it only right

And this whole thing with Sun and Moon and Eclipse?? AFTON was the one that leaked the information about Reader being his ‘heir’. Then he sat back and waited for everyone else to make their move

It went wonderfully! Even better than planned! Bc now he can use this Huge Fucking Mess to manipulate Reader hardcore. Bc now he can use this Huge Fucking Mess to manipulate Reader hardcore, and sculpt them into being the perfect successor

And Reader is stuck in the middle. An unknowing pawn in a game they didn’t even realize was happening.

On one hand. Afton is like. The only person that’s ever been consistent in their life. They’ve been raised by him. He’s only ever played the ‘kind father’ part. So when he comes to their rescue RIGHT AS EVERYTHING IS FALLING APART, and says “see? The world only wants to control you and twist what you know is true into fiction. But I won’t let anyone hurt you here”

Of course they WANT to believe him

But. When you have been really and truly betrayed and made such a fool of. You start to really notice the Signs.

They know the truth now. And there’s nothing they can do to forgive and forget.

Ironically enough I don't see him having a lot of relationship experience. Sure dude is used to others falling in love with him but rarely is the other way around

Probably that's why he locked up the rose in the first place

this is a meteor fic, and youve read any davekat fics, thats a summary in of itself. however, from what i remember, this particular meteor fic goes really hard bc it does such a good job of building dave and karkats relationships with the other meteor residents and it leans hard into dave and roses friendship which is so important to me, bc guys they are BEST friends and theyre just so ; ; its just important ok. also according to the note i left for myself on this fic it made me cry a lot so thats always good

"ok this does slap. this slaps super hard. its a meteorstuck fic wherein karkat and dave both have to question toxic ideas theyve internalized from their own planets and eventually fall in love and get together. no one is delegated to rosemary therapist, all of the charas are beautiful and just as important, and the characterization is so flawless it couldve been written by hussie himself. this TOTALLY holds up, holy shit

ive already listed my favorite davekat fic, but THIS is my favorite homestuck fic period of all time ever the end. this is the best one. this is the ONLY one, as far as im concerned. you dont want to know how many times ive reread this fic ok. i love davesprite/karkat way more than i love dave/karkat (bc you know me w my doomed characters) and the way this author handles the interpersonal relationships between not just karkat and ds but also like ds and all of the OTHER characters is SO. GOOD. davesprite and kanayas relationship in particular lives in my brain rent free at all fucking times oh my god they are so perfect. shes so perfect. i love kanaya so much in this. oh my god and JOHN. the senor strider thing is so fucking funny sldkjfnsdf just. AUGH. its such a good fic just trust me ok just trust me

there are probably more i could recommend but its been so long since i read them im just going to stick to these bc like. man. i do NOT remember some of the bookmarks ive got in there anymore. ask me again when i finally snap and reread homestuck

Did two versions because I feel differently enough for him in the two games. I LOVEEE Kuai Liang in MK9-11!! Idk I think he's neat and he stole my heart he was my 3rd favorite in mk11! I want to kiss him a lot. I think he's just cool (haha) and I enjoy him a lot in these games!! I got sad when he got cyberized in mk9. I would affectionately salad spin him and squeeze. Also I cannot fathom WHY but the lack of simping and just all business attitude in MK11 works for me. I also have a feeling a big part of his appeal is his voice in MKX-MK11 so there's also that. Cool man love him lots.

I literally went into MK1 being like, oh man!! Kuai Liang is probably gonna stay 3rd favorite or even move up to 2nd! and then uh. He fell off hard for me. I can't fully explain why I don't care for him as much but he's just kinda?? meh for me? I think he's okay, I can see why people may prefer him in this game! I just personally couldn't bring myself to like him as much. I would still somewhat affectionately salad spin him. I still wish the best for him and don't want him to die or anything. I like his design like much other Lin Kuei design, but I think the tattoo is a lil goofy LMAO. I also put the canon isn't real if I don't look at it because imo I didn't care for the Harumi romance purely bc it was ALL off screen. I'm not a fan of off screen romance like Jade x Kotal either so this rlly rubbed me the wrong way that not only did they change Harumi from Hanzo's wife to Kuai Liang, but it was ONLY in an ending and like, if you lose as Kuai in his chapter against the sorcerers. Idk! I care for him but not in the same way. Cool dude still.

It's a really good thing that jalen green's nature and upbringing as one of the hyped top picks has kind of steadied him through this. That's one thing I like about Kd, although he might not be a fav player of mine (I just personally don't rlly care for him but can understand why others do. He's very complex and way more interesting than the media tries to portray. but anyway it was just cause we had to present a something we made for a project and i was losing my mind because my friends didnt want to present it and my class was pretty big and filled with a bunch of rude and snotty people so i went to talk to the teacher to ask if i could just present to her privately or something but she said no so like i lowk freaked out and had a break down in the middle of the hallway 💀

honestly though the work isnt that hard considering i passed spanish with an A throughout the years but i just HATE talking in front of the class because for one my accent is different than everyone elses and two im one of the only non native spanish speakers so im kinda just like on edge cause yk how some people are theyre just not nice 🫠

RATING MY SONGS-CRUSHES

we all know conan gray right? ok great. well yk that one song “the cut that always bleeds”? or “heather”? those 2 songs remind me of my first ever crush from last year. who I changed myself to try and make like me, this crush only lasted for about 2-3 weeks and I ended up being rejected bc he had a girlfriend I didn’t know about. those songs remind me of him because I used to listen to them the 3 times I cried about him. it wasn’t a bad crush but I definitely needed to work on my standards. 3/10.

okay next is money by the drums and afraid by the neighborhood. those 2 songs were songs I’d listen to as i think about him while I was in art class. this dude was fine and funny and taller then me and all of that. problem is: i BARELY knew him. so I confessed by having my friend text him on discord and do it FOR ME (i was too pussy to do it). then it got awkward between us. fast foreword a year and last semester i had pe with him. since he was friends with one of my close friends i got to talk to him and we slowly became ‘friends’. i gained a crush on him again and since then I still do JSSKSKSK. this dude used to chase me in pe and throw dodgeballs at me and make me laugh and stuff so I DEF HAD A REASON. he made me smile and all of that cheesy romance stuff… i HAVENT seen him in like 6 months due to me doing online school now………. i still habe a crush on him. 8/10

okay these songs are first love/late spring and francis forever and bag of bones by mitski. last year I was SUCH A BIG mitski fan it’s actually crazy. okay so me and this dude were in a class together around the end of last year and we actually became best friends! me and him would text on the daily and all of that and we use to ft and make fun of each other and all of that and it was honestly such a good friendship (we had a pet rock together. we used to play fight in the class and I would send him outfits for me to wear out places and he’d help me choose and all of that). i had a crush on him since before the friendship started and so I gained a BIG FAT crush on this dude and it didn’t go away. so fast foreword like 2 months and he tells me he has a crush on my friend! (It was not good I cried for like a week listening to mitski the whole time). and so we went through all of that normal “omg DONT b a pussy and confess to her!” (while i stay quiet ab my crush ab him 💀). and then after like 2 more months I tell him and I’m like “hey i just want to lyk i have a crush on u and IK u aren’t looking for a relationship and I’m not either but I just want to let u know so it doesn’t get in the way of our friendship and I hope u see me the same”. he didn’t really care and we stayed friends. THEN AFTER LIKE A MONTH HE STARTED ACTING ALL WEIRD LIKE “goodnight 💗” AND LET ME SLEEP ON HIS SHOULDER ON THE BUS AND LIKE DID ALL THIS STUFF THAT MADE ME THINK HE LIKED ME (told me how pretty i was, send me hearts, hearts next to my contact name and so on.). this goes on until I find out he does it to like 4 other girls. I CRIED SO HARD U DONT UNDERSTAND. and so after thwt he gets kinda distant and I’m still trying to salvage our friendship and he keeps getting more and more distant until the new school year starts. OKAY SO NEW YEAR NEW ME NEW CRUSH RIGHT? no. WRONG! i still had a crush on this dude after like 6 and a half months and it just keeps going. so me and him keep talking (him kinda being distant but kinda back to normal) and then he starts getting HELLA distant. so then after that I go to my schools fb game and he happens to be there. this dude acts like he doesn’t know who i am until i pull out my bag of chips and I’m sharing with people. so after this I’m still trying to get his attention so I air smack him and turns out. THUS DUMB HOE DOESNT FLINCH. so I ended up smacking him REAL hard right in the face and breaking his glasses. (this happens again like 2 minutes after the first time…) and so he knows I was sorry and joking and I gave my bag of chips and fixed his glasses (they weren’t super broken like u could pop them back into place) and we r good. until he goes back to acting like i don’t exist. that right there was the moment I realized I have lost feelings for this dude so I leave the game and I go home right and all is good. until like a whole semester later and it’s been like months since I didn’t like him anymore and all of that. and so after I go online and I get grounded for 6 months I get on my snapchat and I go onto this groupchwr I’m in with him and I say “hi everyone” and all of that and everyone says hi and then they decide to prank me and say “oh btw _____(him) is dating ______(my friend he used to like)” and I’m like “omg congrats for u guys” yada yada yada and then after an hour (I still believe it bc nb told me it was a joke) I start CRYING AB IT. and I’m so confused I’m like ‘why am I crying I don’t even like him?’ and then I vent to my cousin and she’s like “u still like him ur just not admitting it and that’s why ur sad” and I just keep denying it and everything. then in the end I throw away my feelings and replace them with hate and dislike and now I FR don’t fw him and I don’t like him and I don’t even want to breathe in his direction. this crush was a 2/10 because although I cried most of it and I was sad like the whole time we still had some good times and we still had those fun days and stuff and I don’t want those to go to waste so 2/10. (he didn’t go to my school this year btw)

LITERALLY MY TYPE. so I had a crush on him and we slowly became more friends ever since my friend (a dif friend) broke up w him… so me and him are friends and nothing really happens between us tbh.. poco loco reminds me of him bc he’s a spanish speaker and he would like send me the lyrics of it sometimes and he would just b making fun of it and stuff. we also played a lot of imsg games… 4/10

I love Coles subtle character development and how the fandom interprets him. At first he was an uptight serious leader who needed to be the solid rock in the formation. Now he’s more relaxed, obviously due to the friends he surrounds himself with. The fandom sees that and exaggerates him as a relaxed big bear kinda guy and i love that for him.

I rlly love donnies contribution isnt being a super genius thats such a departure its refreshing his contribution is essentially galaxy quest the redux

Idg the person saying disputing the line abt raphs rage problem like yeah saying you dream of fighting us indictive of like a rage issue bc like the fervor at which he said it plus when we saw him fight? Literally kept beating on the dude after he gave information

Im not thinking too hard abt how age w the mutants work bc the movie told me not too but i do think its interesting. Like having the movie itself make a distinction tht scuddlebutt is an adult and i guess if Superfly was the oldest he was too? Neway we didnt have a chance of old man yuri sadly bc baxter is probably dead but idk i think itd be fun if he's brought back

I enjoy the move past the overgeneralizing mystic east backstory and just having them been created from lab ooze, this is the first splinter w no connection to japan (im counting the ninjitsu book in the 2014 movie) which is interesting n i was so right abt tht lol like splinter being cast as jackie chan caused such uproar n just like when tony shaloub was cast i was right to not raise angry pitchforks. Also wrt seth rogen n bebop the mutants were nvr human so i think its fine tht hes got a white va now n also bebop doesnt even speak. Genghis frog only has a few less lines than him. Rocksteady felt mute lol

I loved the ending i loved the way this depicted nyc. the idea of actual new yorkers seeing them at first n thinking they were times squares performers. The way that they too fought against Superfly? I love the Alvin and the chipmunks situation the boys have especially idk in todays ~climate~ the idea of people banding together against a common enemy is cool i loved everyone being cool with the turtles

Like the narrative choice of 'oh actually when you do the hard thing n put urself out there you'll find ppl wholl help you be connected' very cute.

Overall it felt like such a culmination of all that's come before and i rlly hope we see Superfly and cynthia Utrom again

omg i felt weird abt sending that ask but i was hoping it would inspire some dumping of thoughts, hell yeah i relate a lot actually being autistic/adhd and a trans guy. which is honestly why i’m caught off guard by my recent izzy fascination. i think i’d be less fascinated if i was involved in the fandom and had been bogged down by discourse lol. like i fully HATED him on my first watch when the show came out a few months ago and prayed on his downfall but then i set the show aside for a while and rewatched it last month and since then i can’t stop thinking abt him. i think it’s bc i’m at a place rn where i find it rlly hard to connect to ppl, have to shove down my feelings to get by on the daily, i’ve have a bunch of very emotional ppl around me my whole life who i’ve had to manage things for, and bc of my autistic interest with character tropes starting from a super young age i sometimes have to work to see other ppl as archetypes of themselves rather than fully fledged nuanced ppl. so i’m interested in psychoanalysing him but not excusing his stuff bc he’s fr the most unhealthily coping person in the show which is saying something. but tbh i think if i let my walls down i’d relate to ed more? but the walls existing makes me relate a lot to izzy rn i think. but not that much bc like hey sucks and i’m gay. i will say i never got the repressed sexuality stuff from him but that’s just me. i read it more as him being completely repulsed by romance and emotion bc it stirs something in him he rlly doesn’t want to confront. idk i’m in my izzy hands blorbo era rn and trying to avoid talking to the wrong ppl abt it dbsnbd sorry if it’s annoying

Dude you're so valid. I hope you get better at letting people in and keep working on your empathy. I usually see Izzy kinning as a red flag but it sounds like you're relating to the fact that he's the only character on the boat who isn't in the found family and to the fact that he projects things onto people which you seem to be self aware of so ill let it slide. Onto Blorbo from my shows.

I suppose one doesn't have to read him as repressed. Although I don't think that him being a repressed gay guy and him being completely repulsed by romance and emotion because it stirs in him something he doesn't want to confront are necessarily so different. Either way the vibe is that he's scared or resentful of his own feelings for Ed. I've never thought that he was necessarily pretending to be straight or anything. This is all head canon at this point but to me I think he's probably willing to admit his sexual attraction to some men. (He knows he's attracted to Ed and would probably admit it if the right person asked him in the right way but he'd never even let himself form the thought "I want to fuck Lucius" much less say it out loud despite it being objectively true) But I that being said I think a repulsion to gay love, which we know he has because of the whole "He's done something to my boss's brain" bit (and all of the baggage that implying queer love is a corrupting influence carries), is still repression. I suppose if he's aromantic (I have seen that head canon floating since Con said that he isn't interested in a romantic relationship at the C2E2 panel) maybe not but Aro people don't choose not to love, they just don't experience romantic attraction. Izzy Hands seems to actively choose not to love, romantic or otherwise, because he thinks love makes you weak (if the way he treats a love sick Edward is any indication anyway). So IDK how comfortable I am with putting him in the aromantic category, just because there are so few aro characters and one of them being a man who despises love and is the villain in a rom-com trying to keep the alloromantic main couple apart isn't a great look, but that's a whole other thing.

But yeah avoiding certain people is a good plan because you really have to avoid certain takes. Because it's not like Izzy is Kylo Ren, right, he's not utterly deplorable in that sort of way (I know Kylo got a redemption arc but it was a shitty one that failed to actually redeem him and he was still a space fascist don't at me). He's just a fucked up guy on a pirate ship, if there was ever a place to be a fucked up guy it would be on a pirate ship. But if we're gonna sympathize with him we have to avoid certain takes and certain people. Like we just can't be pretending that he's not motivated by homophobia, we can't be pretending that Ed's abusing him somehow, we can't pretend that there's nothing to the reading of him doing some racist things, we can't pretend that he's some hypercompetent babysitter who is the only one getting things done on the ship (even if that's how he sees himself it's not true, it's proven wrong by the events of the show).

All that to say I guess he's a fun blorbo as long as you're not vilifying Ed or missing the point of the character. Probably keep avoiding Izzy stans tbh.

Ok i wanna add my thoughts ! Pls excuse my English if it’s not great and it’s very late.

To an extent I agree w the person named sterre and I think Louis needs to step up his game when it comes to the business aspects of his career. He hires his team, wether there’s constraints or not I do think there’s no possible excuse for why Simon jones and Matt vines are still around. Unless they are blackmailing him (I think that’s unlikely😭), why would he keep useless ppl around? Maybe it’s not that severe but what else could it be. Bc it’s comfortable ? Girl get out of your comfort zone and give those two their 2 week notice. I know he would prob feel bad doing it but like - THEY LITERALLY SUCK. Hire younger or smarter or more innovative people. I know he doesn’t have many celeb friends but everyone who meets him loves him so there’s no way that he couldn’t find a new decent team who know what they’re doing. It’s truly not that hard for a already rich charismatic white dude who’s about to drop a banger of an album.

At the same time though , I don’t think we need to hold Louis responsible for any business aspects. He played a part of that in 1d to an extent so I think he’s capable but the thing is… he’s an ARTIST. He should spend his time focusing on his art. On his fanbase, on his life, on the things he actually enjoys. He also has a private life and wether u believe any of it or not idc but he travels a lot and clearly has ppl to take care of so there’s that. I don’t rlly think u can make art properly and worry abt all the marketing and fandom politics AND have a life like it just wouldn’t work unless you’re Superman, or a woman.

In general his team being useless is not HIS fault, they should be the ones taking care of everything else that isn’t part of his job. Bc there are only 24 hours in a day and as someone in a creative field I tell u that we don’t work the same as ppl w an office job and schedule do. It’s a whole other world, and we need ppl who work in other more strategic fields to help us. But I do think it’s his fault for almost like- rewarding people who at the end of the day, are working against him. It’s confusing bc he does and says such smart things but in the business aspect - I don’t think he’s being smart at all. He says he’s unorganized so maybe it just slips his mind. He even forgets some release dates so I truly think he’s completely hands off when it comes to business. Which is idiot behavior 101 if that’s the case but like maybe it’s just too stressful so he stays away from keeping up w his team’s endeavors. He’s not on anyones ass clearly or else they would do better.

I think after having so much behind the scenes responsibilities in 1d (and let’s be real emotional responsibilities bc like the others used to say, he always made sure the boys were alright, as much as he could) he’s kinda just done thinking abt anything other than the creative aspects of his craft and tbh, he’s also still rebuilding his confidence. That was such a big thing this year bc you can’t be a singer if you’re insecure about performing. We can’t expect everything from a man who’s clearly just trying to enjoy life while doing what he loves and hoping ppl will accept it. But if he wants to be taken seriously and if he wants to succeed he can’t just stay in his comfort zone and watch everyone run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Helene or someone there w a brain needs to tell him that you don’t get shit done in your comfort zone while still wondering wether ppl see u as a soloist or not. Or else it just leads me to believe he truly doesn’t want this as much as he implies every time he’s asked. It makes me think he’s a lil too comfortable w where he is or just too scared to take action. So unless Simon jones is forcing Louis to keep him around by blackmailing him w his nudes or something - Louis pls change everything about your employees and go tell your label to act like they REALLY want that uk top 40

I think Simon Jones is a negative force in Louis’ life and I frankly cannot believe he’s still here after Louis has left Sony.

But I think Matt Vines is organized and patient, and, working in an environment heavily weighted against Louis, he has achieved some good things. There are lots to criticize Matt about, but he is a good counterbalance to Louis’ bursts of ideas and impulsivity. But he is failing in one major aspect, which is to promote Louis as a significant solo artist.

right! there’s a lot of experimental music in it and it’s cohesive but it’s not a definite no from me im sure there’s something good in the album and ill click into it but so far i haven’t found a good one, i think maybe the lyrics i found confusing— but the title track really sets the tone for the entire album for me! so if i particularly don’t enjoy it it’s a litlee hard to enjoy the album if it’s like that as well! txt hasn’t yet! nct, well they are sm, their song choices and what they work on is always good if we remove sticker <3

I adore lavender in pretty much anything. My family are absolute freaks when it comes to how much tea we consume so we order several flowers and herbs in bulk, lavender being one of them and i make lavender syrup all the time when im home. It’s rlly tasty in coffee, but has a reputation of its own for being the east coast gay drink lmao, and is often overpriced. i live within walking disatance from four local coffee shops so im a bit spoiled lmao!!

my day’s been good, i woke up at like noon as most weekends start for me, i have some observation hw to start on (i have plenty of time tho.) but im pretty excited since i adore the professor im taking observation II from and he is nice enough to allow me to use color in all my assignments <3 Usually ur supposed to just do b/w charcoal but thats so fucking boring oh my god and this professor is a huge fan of my color work so he knows how much a chore b/w is for me. I’m thinkin of maybe drawing my hrt? idk i have to think abt it but i thought it would be fun.

as for music, on my way up to college on tuesday dad and i listened to the one pansy division cd we have like 3 times in a row and i havent rlly gotten over it yet and have been listening to their cover of liz phair’s ‘flower’ on repeat ever since. im honestly surpised we dont own more pansy division, my dad’s seen them a few times and theyre on one of his fave labels (lookout!) so it’s kinda odd we only have the one cd. but yknow, streaming is a thing, im just a snob and like physicals a bit more. I’ve been scouring bandcamp as usual for more twee and have been rlly digging a band called the harriets from osaka i believe, who have all of three songs out but i really like. I also bought a few of the max levine ensamble’s albums on bandcamp, theyre available on streaming but bandcamp doesnt have the sound limits other streaming services have and that band is best heard LOUD thru headphones. (i think some bands sound better when u can barely discern the sound LMAO) Theyre a pop punk band from dc that i started listening too exclusivly bc one of their members (spoonboy) is genderqueer and i wanted to hear more genderfuck type music. (tho pansy division is fufilling my every need for more songs abt gay male femmes rn oh my god. Listen 2 their cover of femme fatele, it makes me grin so hard. ) I’m on an honest search for queercore thats not like. how do i describe it? like neo-hardcore? like yknow, the very harsh and almost electronic hardcore thats popular rn but doesnt totally resemble older hardcore. I found a few bands i liked (DUMP HIM is pretty good, i also like yonic boom, which i searched for hours to make sure they weren’t terfs and can confirm they have at least one trans member if that helps a little👍) i also have learned that trying to find music that isnt hyperpop or death metal in the transcore tags on bandcamp is pretty impossible, tho i keep trying! what can i say, im a dude driven by horrible production quality, lts wild to me how polished some hardcore sounds nowadays when the main reason i like it is bc its grainy and harsh and hard to listen to. My love for twee but disdain for modern indie follows suit with that, if it doesnt sound like it was recorded on a budget of one dollar i dont want it!!! (with a few exceptions, i still cant shake my power pop infused childhood.) oh god that last paragraph is probably unreadable but yknow. autism
