So I really like TUA Season 3 I think it might be my favorite.
What I DONT like is that the only two reactions to Allison have either been
1. She’s horrible the show needs to kill her off(bc that misses the point that they are all kinda shitty people that’s like the whole thing they do bad things and face consequences and grow also it’s been an excuse for people to make not even subtle kinda racist comments about her…)
Or
2 She did nothing wrong shes just a grieving black woman(bc she definitely did something wrong like SA is super wrong. I’d say it’s up there in some of the like worst stuff that a main character has done but that’s besides the point.)
Tldr Allison did a fucked up thing and should face consequences, motivation and reasoning be damned. But that doesn’t mean she’s not an interesting character nor does it mean that you can call for her to be removed from the show or kill her off bc that makes not a lot of sense.

Where is my TUA's fic where Jesus "if you're offended by how she dresses well look away" is the nice but sassy big brother of the Marigold's children and tries to put some sense in them or simply being an healthy support ?
Like manifesting in Five and Luther's dreams when they were alone in the Apocalypse/on the Moon for chatting with them so they don't feel abandoned.
Being the literal guardian angel of Claire so Allison can get a break with peace in her mind.
Secretly multiplying food in Diego's cupboard when he forgot to go shopping after a rough week of vigilant activities.
Blessing every water Ben touchs when he was alive because it will calm down The Horror and he want to help his little brother feel better.
Manifesting to Klaus like a ghost for big brothered him with Ben. "You need to eat Klaus.
-I ate two hours ago!
-You need VEGETABLES not smarties!" And also scaring the bad souls so they let him alone.
And convincing the souls of dead famous violinists to manifest in Viktor's dreams for helping him with the new piece he's working on.
WHERE IS IT DUH?
Parenthesis
My theory for the TUA's canon is that Reggie created the Marigold's children
BUT
As a headcanon I like the idea of God created them when she was in a nostalgic mood (because Jesus was so good how it can possibly go wrong?), I made some incorrect quotes for that. Tired Parent God and Big Brother Jesus is my confort au ok ?

TUA x Sandman
Which Hargreeves sibling would be which Endless? Definitely random, but you have seven dysfunctional siblings and seven dysfunctional siblings for a perfect match.
I think Allison as Desire, Diego as Destruction, Luther as Destiny, and Klaus as Delirium would fit perfectly.
But when it comes to the higher numbers, I think any of them could work: Viktor as Despair, Ben as Dream, and Five as Death, or Viktor as Despair, Ben as Death, and Five as Dream, or even Viktor as Death, Ben as Despair and Five as Dream.

Post Apocalypse Au! ( Yes Im writing another one ) WC: 1,791
Summary: The Umbrella’s can understand jumping through time and all its rules, yeah fuck with the timeline and it’ll fuck you right back. But what happens when a portal opens up in the middle of the academy and outfalls a girl who claims to be Five’s wife from a different universe.
Disclaimer: This takes place after season one if Viktor didn’t blow up the moon. ⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。
The Umbrella Academy had saved the world from its supposed end. The siblings had lounged around the academy slowly letting reality set that they had avoided their demise. It was the next morning when each of them woke up to check their surroundings, making sure that doomsday wasn’t there.
Five went downstairs for his morning coffee when he saw Allison scrolling for flights on her phone and Klaus checking where was the next place he could buy drugs.
“Leaving so soon?” He questioned.
Allison looked up at him although happy to see her brother, guilty because he was right.
“I have to go see my daughter. After everything that has happened I need her now just as much as she needs me.”
Five nodded his head, understanding where she was coming from, although a little irked she wasn’t wasting any time running away.
At this time a portal had opened above the living room. The rest of the siblings (Luther, Viktor, Diego) had rushed down to see what the loud noise was. It was like Deja Vu when Five came back. In the portal, they could see a fight happening. Figures that had looked like them in a place that looked like their home. A woman’s back came close to the portal, they could see she was in combat but stood observing. Another man who they couldn’t identify, had pushed the woman through the portal.
A girl who looked to be in her early twenties had fallen through. Her face was covered in soot, her hair black as night, and her eyes closed in pain. She was wearing a navy body suit that clung to her figure, and blood, not her own, stained the fabric.
The Hargreeves gathered around to observe this strange phenomenon trying to assess the danger of the situation. They were used to people going after them, so why would this time be different.
You coughed loudly before sitting up, and each sibling tensed with adrenaline. The girl looked around the room with blazing blue eyes before she landed on the youngest Hargreeves.
“Five?” you questioned.
Everyone turned to look at Five.
Luther spoke up first, “You know her?”
“I have never met her in my life.” Five retorted.
The girl dusted off her suit before standing. “Well if you never met me, you either will meet me or I’m dead in this universe.”
“The names y/n , y/n Hargreeves.”
“I don’t remember our father adopting anyone else,” Diego said. He raised his knives, carefully ready to strike at any move she would make.
“That’s because I wasn’t adopted into this family. Married actually.” And with this, she held up her left hand, a beautiful diamond ring shone in the light with a gold band beneath it. The diamond was embellished with 2 smaller emeralds on the side, perhaps representing her lover’s eyes.
“Married? To who.” Viktor questioned.
“To him.” She looked back at Five.
“Well not to him, an alternate version of him. We met a few years ago and got married, thus me joining his chaotic family.”
“So what are you saying you guys are married in a different timeline?” Klaus asked.
“No, not a different timeline, a different universe.” She sat down on the couch.
Your brain felt like it was rattling against your skull, and your body ached. You took a minute to think. Fuck, it was going to be difficult to get back to your Earth. And to make things better you had no idea where to start.
“Alright before you all start firing questions at me, someone get me a cup of coffee, black please.” You threw a jacket that hung over the couch on you to hide the state of your clothes. "Allow me," The alternate of your husband said. Five quickly blinked the two of you into the car and began to drive. "So you and I, are married in another multiverse."
"Correct." "You look to be about my age, how come I haven't met you yet here." Surerly he would remember someone as beautiful as you. "Well it's as I said, my version here could be dead or you might not have met her yet. That being said although 18 out of the 20 multiverses I have visited, we are together." "And the other two?" "In Earth 216, we are strangers, never have crossed paths, and never will. We simply live our lives with other people." Five's eyebrows furrowed. For some reason even if he didn't know Daisy, he didn't like the idea of you with someone else. "In Earth 894, we were madly in love but our egos destroyed us, and we were never the same since." Five could tell there was more to that story but didn't press any further. "So tell me about us, how did we end up together." "I was Diego's friend first, he and I met in the police force. Diego kinda took me under his wing as I was the youngest graduate out of the academy. Perks of having a high IQ. Anyway, he invited me over after your father's funeral. " "Long story short, you fell in love with my charms and I was the only one who could tolerate you. We got married not too long after. It was a small wedding but it's my most precious memory. Our families had gathered together at the church no too far away from here. You cried on our wedding day by the way." Inciting a side glare from Five.
"But...that's where we had some problems." "Do you remember when I fell out of that portal?" Five nodded his head remembering seeing a fight in the alternate dimension. "Well, apparently some of the 43 are not too happy about their powers, nor happy about living among the common people, they believed themselves superior and it became chaos." The two of you arrived at Griddys. Five walked over to the side of your door and opened it for you. "Thank you, darling." You said with a smile. Five's heart spiked at the nickname. He shook his head at the feeling, obviously, it's just what you were used to calling YOUR Five. The two of you sat at the counter and ordered your coffees and sweets. You signed before pulling out a small stack of photos from inside your suit. "This is us and your family." The photo was a picture of you and Five on your wedding day. Five had never looked so happy. Beside him was Luther who he assumed was his best man, next to him was Viktor, Diego, and a man who looked like you. You must have caught his staring, "That's my brother Damien." He nodded and looked beside you. You were wearing a long white dress with intricate lacing, the dress was strapless with a square neckline and had a small slit on the side. Your veil was flipped over your head and flowed down your back. Beside you was Allison as your maid of honor and two other women who he assumed were your friends. You weren't looking at the camera but at him. The next picture you gave him was a close-up of the two of you. You were the one taking the photo. His alternate self was older and had longer hair and facial hair, but he faced your side kissing your cheek affectionately. "This is my favorite photo of you." You handed him another photograph but this one didn't have you in it. This one was a picture of just Five and in his arms a little girl. She looked like you. Five gulped, a million questions ran through his head. Could this... could this have been his future if he didn't make that stupid jump? You said that not all multiverses are the same, you and him could never meet in this one. But that didn't stop his heart from hurting at the thought of missing out on a life of happiness because of his arrogance. "Before you jump to conclusions, she's not ours. She's my niece that we were babysitting. You just looked so sweet with her. You had always told me you wanted kids before but I wasn't ready." You had looked away sadly. In your home, Five always wanted to settle down and raise a family of his own, but you felt like you weren't ready. Now you regretted not because you weren't sure if you would ever be able to get back home. The two of you sat in silence drinking your coffee, both thinking about the what-ifs. "So...how did you end up here. I've been able to time travel but I've never thought about the possibility of multi-dimensional traveling." "As I said there was a fight between us, your family, and some of the 43. They called themselves the Ascendants. Believe to be the superior race." You took a deep breath before continuing. "The Ascendants had a man who could travel the multiverse with his own power, no special gear or machine need. We had planned to capture him but miscalculated. He was ready for us and he aimed to take out me, his biggest threat."
You took another breath before looking into Five's eyes. "I can warp reality. It is essentially in the name. I can manipulate reality itself, altering the fabric of existence according to my will." "But not without a cost," you continued. "Each time I control something, and the bigger it is, the more of my life force I use." Five sat in silence. This was a lot of information to take in. "So what now. How do I help you get back home." "I have...no clue. You were always the smarter one of the two of us." You sighed. It was going to take a lot of research and time to figure it out. "Well, I'm newly retired and have nothing on my plate so let's start at the library come on." He hopped off the stool and made his way to the door. "You coming?" He said turning to look at you. You smiled, he was a great man. Even if this Five wasn't your husband you loved him no matter what. You ran up looping your arm in his making your way out of Griddy's. ⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚
Author's note: I got tons of drafts just full of ideas I've had and never gone through with. I've been rewatching the MCU films and Spiderverse so that was kinda my inspiration for this one. One of my favourite things about Umbrella Academy is that Klaus is literally everyone's favourite sibling.
Like in season 1 he spends a lot of time with Diego, they help each other, they talk about their childhood a lot. The whole fandom is like 'hey cool, Klaus and Diego are besties'
But then in season 2 Klaus is with Allison a lot, and Viktor a bit later in the series. They both get along with him really well.
Then, in season 3, obviously Five and Klaus become besties, going on the road trip together. And Klaus and Luther bond a lot during the last few episodes (mostly when they're dead).
Like Klaus is literally everyone's favourite sibling, except for maybe Ben. Which is the most hilarious plot point, intentional or unintentional

as much as we all make fun of the siblings for being the dysfunctional idiots they are, we just cant deny the fact that they got game.
Luther somehow gets married within what is possibly a week to one of their enemies when their first meeting was literally them breaking into their own home
Diego ends up in a mental hospital but gets a hot, british assassin and gets her to almost go against her controlling mother who was the head of a fucking interdimensional hitman network
Allison gets a guy who is progressive and supportive of her in a time of rampant misogyny and doesnt question the fact that his wife has superpowers
Klaus and Dave fall in love in a war and Dave loves klaus despite being raised in a time where homosexuality was considered a mental illness.
And even Viktor’s time with Sissy is so impactful and precious that they literally lived the dream of living in a farm with their son and no one to bother them except sissy’s husband but he was dick
the only siblings who arent so involved in romance is Five I-have-been-married-to-my-wife-for-40-years and Ben im-fucking-dead

Allison Hargreeves is being unfairly vilified?
Allison Hargreeves as in 'SA'd Luther' Allison Hargreeves? Allison Hargreeves as in 'confirmed Viktor's worst ongoing fears and anxieties just because Viktor was grieving his friend/stepson and it annoyed her' Allison Hargreeves? Allison Hargreeves 'contributed to the deaths of two of her siblings' Allison Hargreeves? Allison Hargreeves 'nothing anyone else has lost over the course of this nightmare matters as much as what I lost so I'm gonna fuck everything up potentially irreparably' Allison Hargreeves?
That Allison Hargreeves? I mean don't get me wrong I like her but she's very much a villain right now. She's an interesting villain, a compelling villain, a better villain than Reggie since we actually know wtf her problem is and we wish things hadn't turned out this way. But a villain all the same.
i don't think allison is a villain. at best, i'd say she's an antihero. at worst, she was a catalyst for viktor's arc in season three.
i would like to start by saying that i'm not defending allison's actions. i think what she did was wrong. however, i don't think she deserves all the hate that she's gotten. she's a character that is very morally gray, and people continue to paint her in solely black or white.
what i try to convey in this... very long post is that there's a reason for what allison does in season three. the question of if she’s a villain or not can be debated, but i believe that the reasons for her actions don’t make her a villain.
a big reason why the umbrella academy is such an incredible show is that all the umbrellas are flawed and nuanced, and despite it all they love. all of the umbrellas have their faults, and allison is no different.
in season three allison has lost all hope. she thinks she will never see her child again, her husband is dead, the world is ending, and to her it seems like her siblings don't give a shit. amidst all the chaos and the whirlwind of her life, she needs something that she's used to. something she knows how to navigate.
so she turns to luther. and she gets the comfort she's looking for but it's not right.
allison and luther's relationship is something that has been a topic of many debates in this fandom. i don't really want to get into it right now, but they've always been a person of comfort to each other. allison wants to feel loved and cared for, and she thinks she can get that comfort from luther.
allison is naturally selfish. she's used to getting what she wants. she's used to having the world at her fingertips. and yet almost everything she's held close to her heart has been ripped away from her. and she's never getting it back.
in season three she falls back onto her old habits, rumoring people left and right with no consideration for others. it makes sense because it's the only way she knows how to get what she wants.
and then she rumors luther. she doesn't want to lose him either, and she thinks that he's choosing sloane over her (which is true, but she thinks he's leaving forever. she thinks she'll lose him too). but she almost instantly realizes what she's done, almost instantly tries to take it away.
as for her relationship with viktor, that's another can of worms. in season one, allison is the only one really trying to mend that relationship with viktor. but it's a rocky road. allison snaps at viktor, viktor snaps at allison. these two have had tension from the very start. eventually, that bond had to snap.
at the start of season three, viktor is the only one that really tries to help allison. he stands up for her, and comforts her after she returns from la. but by episode three allison is so consumed by her grief that she's already clashing with viktor.
and when harlan makes an appearance, it just gets worse. harlan is like a son to viktor. someone viktor can care for. and when viktor turns that care and attention away from allison and instead towards harlan, it hurts. why is viktor allowed to have his child when allison will never get to see claire again?
in season three luther tells viktor that allison has “always been good to you (viktor)”. but there comes a point where your love and gratitude towards someone can morph into bitterness and hate.
the reason i say allison is a catalyst for viktor in season three is because the writers needed someone to contest his ideas. someone that will create a struggle for viktor that he will ultimately come out of with a new lesson learned. and allison is a great contender for that position. the show needs conflict in order to have an engaging story at all, and tense relationships between the siblings can be seen throughout all three seasons. (luther and diego in season one, ben and klaus in season two)
as for the deaths of her siblings, do you really think she wanted that to happen? she doesn’t want to lose any more people, that’s the main driver of her character shift in this season.
allison turns towards reginald because she sees it as the only option left. klaus does the same thing, so why is it any different when allison does it? she didn’t know her siblings would die in the process.
allison isn’t even the only sibling that has contributed to a sibling’s (almost) death. viktor slashes her throat in season one, ben sacrifices himself to save the world, and luther willingly walks into the room to talk to reginald. how is that allison’s fault?
i think this is also why five gives his talk to viktor, not allison. he understands what allison is going through on some level, understands the despair of losing those who are close to you. understands being willing to do anything to get them back. even though he quite loudly disagrees with allison making a deal with reginald, it's because he knows she's getting tricked. reginald never had their best interests at heart.
they’ve all lost people, and they all react to that loss in different ways. in season 1, when diego finds that patch was killed, he instantly wants to go for revenge. he plans on going after hazel and cha cha but five inevitably talks him out of it.
allison doesn’t have that influence. in fact, diego suggests to instead let that grief out through anger. i don’t think it was a very good solution in the end.
and despite all that, she wants to redeem herself. she tries to tell viktor the truth, she admits that she made the plan for all of them. she kills reginald and she’s the one that pushes the button at the end of season three. there’s so much left that we don’t know. did allison know what would happen when she pressed the button? did she know what reginald’s real plan was?
but in the end, allison is the reality of a person who has lost those who are closest to her. it’s probably the best job the writers have done while showing trauma and grief. i don’t think allison is a villain, and i think that accusing her of solely caring about herself is unfair.

“Shit,” Five breathed out.
You stood next to him, the same feeling washing over you.
“What is with the cube?” You whispered.
“No fucking clue,” Came Five’s reply.
Klaus rubs his eyes, taking a step forward. “Is that Ben?”
Ben looks Klaus up and down, frowning. “Who the hell are you, losers?”
Klaus slaps a hand over his heart. “Wow, he just got meaner.”
“There wasn’t a mean bone in his body, to begin with,” Viktor interjects.
Ben rolls his eyes at that, turning back to his siblings. They walk down the stairs and you want to barf at the sight of their stupid little uniforms.
“Listen, why don’t we all have a nice level-headed conversation about this, hm?” Luther asks. “Hi, I’m Luther.”
Ben smiles at him. “Hi, I’m I don’t give a shit and get out.”
You try to stifle your laugh at Luther’s failed attempt to converse with these people. Their distaste for you was obvious.
“If we kill you, do we get our Ben back?” Diego inquires.
Five lets out a groan next to you as Ben snaps his eyes towards him. “What the hell did you just say?”
“I feel like now is a good time to run,” Klaus suggests.
“Yup,” Allison agrees.
Five puts a hand to your back, pushing you out of the room. “Run!”
Five’s hand moves from your back to your hand as he jumps you both further down the hallway.
“So he replaced you guys?” You asked, following Five and taking a sharp right turn.
“Guess so. Can’t blame him after what he saw.”
“They’re so much… meaner,” You said as Five turns down another corridor.
It’s here Allison and Luther come running down, meeting you in the middle with one of the Sparrow academy members pursuing them. Suddenly, she cracks her back, and birds start flying towards you.
“Birds?” You shriek, scrambling after Allison and watching Five slam the door in the bird's face.
“Whose superpower are birds?” You pant, gesturing outside the door.
Allison shakes her head. “It’s a lot more complicated than that.”
At the sound of footsteps down the hall, you take off running again, losing both Allison and Luther. Five stops at a dead-end, cursing before jumping with you to the second floor.
Of course, someone else is already there, and Five slowly turns around to meet them. She has dark hair and green eyes. Honestly, she weirdly resembled Five.
“So, can I ask what your powers are before we engage in an exchange of fists?” You asked.
She just scoffs at you, and you nod your head. “Yeah, okay, at least I was polite.”
Five steps in front of you, concealing you from view as he eyes her up and down.
“What are you, their mascot?” She taunts Five.
He blinks behind her, throwing a punch across her face and smiling when falls to the floor. “More like their ringer.”
She narrows her eyes at Five, and out of nowhere, spits a black venom at him.
“What the fuck!” You exclaim, running to his side. “Did you just spit at him?”
She only blows a kiss at you in response. You turn back to Five only to find him in a trance. He stands still, staring into nothing and eyes glossed over.
“What did you do to him?” You hiss.
She just shrugs before spitting at you.
In response, you conjure a shield and easily deflect it. “Didn’t anyone ever teach you to floss?”
You dissipate your shield before sweeping your arms and enveloping the whole area in shadows. You can see her clearly. She’s spinning around in circles blindly. You chuckle before approaching her and punching her straight in the nose. She stumbles back, hand reaching out to find you, but you vanish into another part of the darkness. This time, you're behind her, and you kick the back of her legs to make her fold.
Again, she reaches out for you, and you vanish. She shouts in frustration, and you clear the shadows, stopping right in front of her. A blade vaporizes in your hands, and when she sees you, you kick her in the face.
She falls back to the floor, holding her face, blood dripping. You throw the blade right by her neck, letting it barely skim her before it vaporizes into nothing. You conjure two more in your hands and grin down at her.
“Reverse it,” You seethe, gripping your shadow dagger tighter.
But before anything happens, something grabs onto your leg and drags you towards the stairs. Your back crashes against the metal railings looking over the living room, and you groan. The girl spits at you again, but you’re quick enough to vanish and hide in Five’s shadow.
She stomps her foot in annoyance before running down the stairs towards Ben. Once she’s gone, you reappear in front of Five and shake his shoulders.
“Five?” You whisper.
No response. You snap your fingers in front of his face, still calling his name but nothing. He’s shaking in your grasp, eyes screwed shut.
“Five!” You shout.
Still nothing. You begin to panic, seeing he’s in obvious pain. Your eyes fall to the black venom on his forehead, and you frown. With one hand, you push back his hair, and with the other, you hover over the black goo. You use your shadow to fuel little claws that pick up the venom and throw it elsewhere in the room. As soon as it’s removed from Five, he collapses. You try your best to catch him, but you both end up on the ground in a mess.
He’s crying, and you try your best to calm him, feeling your heart break.
“Hey, Hey, Hey, I’m right here,” You whisper against his skin, hugging him close as he clings to your jacket. “It’s not real, whatever she did. It’s gone. You’re okay.”
You glance around, still clinging to the boy, and note that you need to get out of here. In a flash, you use the shadows to teleport right outside the academy.
“Five?” You called softly. “Hey.”
He continues to hiccup, breathes still ragged, and you wonder what happened to him. You’ve never seen Five like this. He was in complete distress, and you weren’t sure how to calm him down. Normally, he’s the one calming you down.
You cup his face in your hands, locking eyes with him. “Five!”
He just shakes his head, and you let out a sigh. She really fucked with his head, and you were so going to enjoy taking her down later.
You press your forehead to his, trying to get him to understand that it’s just you. There was no trick, no illusion.
He sniffles, eyes meeting yours, and his breathing starts to calm a little. Your hand finds his, intertwining them as he continues to calm down.
“It’s okay,” You assure. “It’s just me, Five.”
His eyebrows knit together in confusion. His eyes trace your face before one cups your cheek, eyes flickering towards your lips. “Tell me you want this too.”
You’re confused at the sudden phrase, given the boy was just in tears earlier, but you give in anyway. Your lips meet his halfway, and he tastes like bitter coffee and tears. You don’t mind, of course. In fact, you could get drunk on it. You squeeze his hand before pulling back.
“It’s you,” He breathes out.
“I only said that like five times,” You said with a light laugh. “But you had to kiss me to determine that?”
“Peach,” He replied. “You’re always using the same peach chapstick since we met. It’s such a small detail that can only apply to real life. If you were an illusion… you wouldn’t taste like peach because no one else knows that.”
You raise an eyebrow at him, your cheeks burning from what he said.
“And maybe because I wanted to kiss you.”
“There it is,” You tease.
Five rolls his eyes before standing up and taking you with him, given your hands were still intertwined.
“What did she do to you, Five?”
He just clicks his tongue. “Doesn’t matter. What does matter is we might just have to save the world again.”
“Third time is a charm,” You said with a grin. “Now, c’mon, we need a plan to take down that lack of personal hygiene bitch.”
“So that’s what you named her?”
“Wanna hear the others?”
Five smiles, leading you away from the sparrow academy. “List them all, darling.”

Not to rise from the dead and post on here after months, but I wanted to touch on an aspect of the show that I feel is misunderstood by the fandom, especially in season 3.
I hate to bring it up at all, but I’m talking about Luther and Allison’s relationship(?). I know it’s a part of the series that most of us ignore or joke about, but in actuality it sheds light on how the siblings were raised, especially Allison, in a sadly realistic way.
While I obviously see Allison and Luther’s relationship as troublesome and unhealthy/weird, I don’t think I have the same ‘gawk in disgust’ reaction other people in the fandom seem to have when the complexity of the relationship is brought up.
This isn’t because I think incest (what I would label the relationship, even if it was more emotional than physical!) is acceptable, but because I think it makes total sense within the show, especially within the character dynamics of Allison and Luther.
Even though it’s a hard thing to bring up, sibling incest is more common than we think. It’s not always full-out or malicious, but it does occur way more often than most of us would assume. Specifically, it’s more likely to occur amongst siblings that are not properly socialized as youths, or ones who are full on isolated.
When we think of isolation we think of olden time families living on a farm cut off from any other societies, and I feel like that makes people underestimate how much the Hargreeves siblings were isolated from their peers and just other people.
I mean, we’ve seen Reginald’s parenting! The kids make their superhero debut at age 11, and by the way it’s described who knows if the kids ever even properly went outside before then. Growing up the Hargreeves had only the seven of them (6 if we account for Viktor’s separation).
All of the personal growth, all of the curiosity about the outside world, all of the teenage melancholia and growing pains, all of it has to occur within the bounds of the seven siblings because there’s literally no one else.
So of course this is going to make for oddly bonded children! Of course they’re going to blur the lines of what siblings should act like, because they know no objective standards! We see this in their competitiveness stemming from being pitted against each other, we see it in their ‘ride or die’ mindset even when they don’t like each other, and we see it in Allison and Luther.
I see the fandom spin it into Allison and Luther being freaks, especially as the other siblings find it odd as well. While I agree it’s weird, I think it’s unfair to paint it simply as ‘grown adults have a thing for their own sibling’ because we’re then ignoring their unique upbringing.
I mean, i find it hard to even treat the siblings as adults on an emotional level, because they were never truly allowed the development needed to grow into stable, mature adults.
You have one sibling who is reared to crave attention and validation, who didn’t see much kindness or empathy due to his envy-inducing status as Number 1. And you have another sibling who is purposely left devoid of proper morals, who is used to getting everything she wants and being wanted by everyone in the way she wants them to, by charm or by force.
Is it really hard to see what those siblings would find in each other, the validation that they surely would’ve found in non-relatives had they been allowed to grow up normally?
One of my favorite parts of TUA is that it’s not afraid to give us a fucked up family, exploring how such an unorthodox childhood allows for ugliness to rear its head in the craziest places. To me, the too-intimate bond of Allison and Luther isn’t something to just be written off as an awkward writing choice, it’s another very real and sad example of how the Hargreeves’ morals and minds were doomed from the start.

I think the biggest tragedy about Diego is how close he was to having a normal life.
The majority of the other siblings (with the possible exception of Allison, although the more we learn about the scope of her powers, the more unlikely I think it is) were probably never going to have anything approaching normalcy, no matter where they ended up. Luther was always going to be incredibly strong. Klaus was always going to see the dead. Five would always be able to manipulate space and time, Ben would always have something monstrous just beneath his skin, Viktor would have been incredibly powerful, if unsuppressed by Reginald. None of that equates to normalcy. It doesn’t make the abuse they suffered from Reginald any less tragic, but it ensures that, by and large, their powers would have made them recognizably different from others, no matter where they ended up, in a way that would have interfered with them living a normal life.
And then there’s Diego. Diego, who came so close to being someone’s unusual story—this guy they knew once who could stay underwater for longer than anyone you’ve ever seen, and who won his beer money every weekend because he’s never once lost a game of darts. Casually weird, but not unbelievably so. Just a guy with some odd quirks. “My mom had one of those cryptid pregnancies,” he said once. Someone laughed at him, said, “I think they’re called cryptic.” “Yeah, whatever.” No one questioned it.
I dunno. I think about it a lot.

Had a dream that S4 of umbrella academy was that Reginald trapped the siblings in a mansion, first episode was that they were stuck in a game of the game room. The game was like a space game with aliens. They had to defeat the game before being let out of the game. After defeating the game, wherein they found themselves waking up on the floor with said game behind them they went out to try and escape the mansion.
However, when they got outside they found themselves in a room full of stairs(like, imagine old timely castle like interior), Diego went to one part of the room that was a dead end, but the siblings saw him disappear as soon as he went there. Ben and Allison followed him to save him, then it shows that the three of them were transported into a secret room that looked like a jungle.
The three of them could see the door they walked through, it was like glass and all their siblings were looking at it trying to find a way to help them. The siblings only saw a wall, but the wall was like glass on their end.
When the trio tried to walk through the glass they couldn't. They were screaming for help but their siblings couldn't hear them. Then, weirdly enough, Raymond was with them? Allison tried to call for her husband, confident that he would hear her. He did somewhat hear her when he leaned in. Then, Allison started to slam her fists into the glass, like really really hard until it had some breaks where she tried to peel the glass shards through fingers alone, there's a lot of layers until Raymond could faintly see her through the wall.
Ben copied her and he pried open and shattered the glass with his hands alone. Five saw him and when Ben could somewhat get his body through the glass Five quickly pulled him. I remember specifically Five pulling Ben out, then Ben was too heavy for him that Five hilariously fell hard on the floor with Ben on top of him lol
Afterwards, they're at like a terrace where they could see the outside was a large and wide garden where they say they needed to go through to escape the mansion
Anyways, that was a wild ride for my dream umbrella academy S4 lmaooo

I've never posted an original thing on tumblr in my life, but I'm gonna start at 12:26 in the morning and see how it goes. Cause I have thoughts.
Specifically teen wolf thoughts.
Even more specifically, the number of dead sisters?
Hear me out. This realization came along with the realization how many of our lovely main characters are only children, so I'm going to start there. Right off the bat, we have Scott (only child) Stiles (only child) Allison (only child) Lydia (only child) and Jackson (adopted, only child). This is our basic first group with the outlier being Derek, of course, with two sisters. Here is where we run into our first dead sister as well.
Continuing on, we have Erica (only child) Isaac (dead brother) and Boyd (dead sister). So now we are starting to see the pattern of dead sisters. As our group grows, so dose the number of dead sisters. Malia (adoptive sister dead very young) Liam (only child) Kira (only child) Theo (Dead sister). Moving into more of our puppy pack members Mason (dead/absorbed twin brother) Cory (unknown if he's an only child or has siblings, dead or alive) and Hayden (has one sister alive BUT Hayden was herself the dead sister at one point though she came back and her sister didn't know).
Now a couple overlapping things. Cora, of course, being Derek's living sister, shares the same dead sister, so I will include her for the sake of the number of characters with dead sisters. Peter also has a dead sister, but he gets overlooked, I think, since his sister is focused on as Derek and Cora's mother. The last one I've found is kind of in-between. Chris also has a dead sister. She just doesn't seem to want to stay dead. So he sometimes has a dead sister.
In conclusion, we have 8 only children, seven people with dead sisters (though only 6 dead sisters), and two dead brothers, one of whom was never born.
I dont know what to do with this information so I'm gonna infect the internet with it. Thanks for reading!

Hello all, as we wait in the blank space between season 3 and season 4, the last season of these silly little guys…
I reopen my vault of absolutely unposted content to bring some drawings from a tua x omori au i was thinking up. Because sibling trauma + death in the family + they surprisingly fit the style super well! Look at how cute the kid versions are!! There are a lot of parallels in both stories that just fit so well
Of course, these images are probably more meaningful if you know both media, but haha. Yeah. Basically, Ben is dead. And the siblings are… coping (?)
Under the read more is a little more of what I mean, omori and tua spoilers warning! Well. Yeah.
A happier childhood -> a bleaker adulthood after the Incident, in this case being ben’s death.
Ben haunts the dreamscape of viktor and (to make it fun) the other siblings as the HORROR, much like SOMETHING does for basil and sunny. “4 days left, 3 days left…”, quite haunting in the context of an apocalypse instead of moving away…
Viktor would probably be the Sunny equivalent here because. Coughs. Violin. Five would also work—they can share that burden together. I don’t know if the powers are in this au since it would probably focus more on how they’re just messed up kids?? But also Viktor causing the apocalypse in the bad endings makes a lot of sense. Maybe they can still have their powers and make a mess.
Since they’re all siblings it’s obviously a different situation than the friend group, but…
Very Roughly,
Sunny -> Five and Viktor
Omori -> The White Violin
Stranger/Something -> The Horror (Ben but spooky)
Mari -> Ben
Kel -> Klaus
Basil -> Klaus
Aubrey -> Diego, maybe also Allison?? As in she changes a lot between then and now.
Hero -> Luther, maybe also Allison
But yeah! I drew these long ago so I don’t remember fully every detail, but ): the happy Bens are so precious to me. And Viktor works so well in this style it’s like he was born for that deadpan numb stare. Er, well. Drugged.
Feel free to expand this idea as you wish, if it give you food for thought… or come yell at me about these messed up kids! I’d love to get in touch with the fandom again :)

✨ i dont remember writing this, it was in the drafts so it could old or new or whatever ✨ each member of the Umbrella Academy could symbolize a different stage of grief luther - denial: luther often struggles to accept the reality of their dysfunctional family and his own role within it. He clings to the ideals instilled by their father, refusing to acknowledge the flaws in their upbringing. diego - anger: diego's impulsive and hot-headed nature reflects the anger he harbours' towards their father, society, and the injustices he perceives in the world. his constant need to fight against authority may stem from this deep-seated rage. allison - bargaining: allison's use of her powers to manipulate reality mirrors a form of bargaining. she seeks control over her surroundings, hoping to negotiate her way out of difficult situations and find some facade of peace and happiness. klaus - depression: klaus's struggle with addiction and his tendency to escape reality through substance abuse could be seen as a manifestation of depression. he uses drugs and alcohol to numb the pain of his past traumas and the burden of his powers. five - acceptance: five, despite his sarcastic demeanour, often shows a level of acceptance towards their circumstances. he's practical and focused on finding solutions to their problems, even if it means making difficult decisions. ben - transcendence: ben's ability to communicate with the dead and his eventual manifestation as a physical being separate from klaus could represent transcendence. he's moved beyond the limitations of his mortal form, gaining a deeper understanding of existence. viktor- rebirth: viktor's journey from being the "ordinary" sibling to discovering his extraordinary powers and embracing his true self is symbolic to a rebirth. he undergoes a transformation, shedding his old identity and embracing his full potential. (whilst destroying the earth)

Actually what if "The Unbearable Tragedy of Getting What You Want" isn't just Allison. She knows her siblings' desires, arguably better than any of the others. She knows about Dave, Sissy, Diego n Lila n their kid, Sloane, and Five's want for peace. What if s4 is a utopia that none of them, least of all Allison, can stand. She has a husband who should be dead and a daughter LITERALLY without a biological father. What if nothing, none of it, is right. Because she wanted to give them what they want but they don't have what they need. What if.
