#After-School Satan

Hey folks, I wanted to let you all know that I found there's a school in Arkansas - which does not label itself as a christian school - that has been pushing christianity onto its students. I recommend reaching out to the Freedom From Religion Foundation and the ACLU about this. I also think it could be beneficial for this to be another potential location for TST's After-School Satan if the school will not back down on putting religion into an educational  environment.
In addition to the link I shared here, here's another where they're having children read bibles in school. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=pfbid02L9va1Tz7PkT2eM7dshYPpgofwrodqX7V1EZgvAuZDKKaiXUp42FVXJCjSY4ULHB6l&id=100063553270145

The Home Theater
Satan
"I don't remember the House of Lamentation having one of these," MC notes as they take in their surroundings. "Whose idea was it to put one here?"
"It was mine," I answer. "Barbatos helped me set everything up. All the equipment, the acoustics...it's all top-notch."
"By human world standards, or Devildom ones?" I've forgotten how observant they are. MC seems to enjoy taking in all sorts of information, even if it seems insignificant to other people. That's one of the things I like about them.
"According to the employee at DevTech--I mean, Best Buy--we have the top-of-the-line equipment, and the quality is comparable to some of ours." I hate that I keep swapping human world names with Devildom ones. I personally feel like I'm better than that.
"Have you guys used it yet?"
"Funny that you mention that, because we just started a zombie movie marathon last weekend."
"Was that your idea as well?" I nod my head.
"The idea of zombies has interested me for a while now. While there are diseases and curses that can induce a zombie-like state in demons, it's usually a temporary problem that can be solved with medicine. That doesn't seem to be the case with humans."
"Are you solely basing that on our movies?"
"Of course not. I've also read books."
"Fiction or non-fiction?" Oh, I'm about to blow their mind.
"Both, actually."
While the human world seems to focus on the fantastical elements of zombies, the Devildom has meticulously recorded all zombie outbreaks that have occurred throughout the centuries. You see, sometimes a human zombie accidentally stumbles in the Devildom, and we have to deal with that situation properly in order to prevent chaos.
While we've certainly dealt with the stereotypical zombies--the ones that are slow-moving, crave brains, and are more or less dead--those aren't the only ones that we've come across. Some are capable of sprinting, others aren't too keen on brains, and there's even those that appear perfectly fine on the outside but have some kind of parasite in their brain that's making them carry out orders with no thought whatsoever.
Although, sometimes the parasite doesn't have a physical form and is instead created as a result of rather intense brainwashing.
"I see," MC states once I've completed my mini lecture. "Somehow, that's never come up in any of my classes."
"That's because you've only taken general knowledge ones. RAD offers majors, and with those comes specific classes for particular areas of study. Although, in order to declare a major, you have to prove that you have a solid understanding of the fundamentals first, since you might get pulled to teach a class or two."
"Has that ever happened to you guys?"
"Lucifer and I are the only ones out of our bunch that have declared a major. Belphie's been offered, but he doesn't want to deal with the responsibility of teaching, so he just takes whatever interests him. The others simply haven't proven themselves yet. Levi struggles with attendance, and Beel has difficulty concentrating. As for Mammon and Asmo, I think they're content with where they're at right now, so they're not going to push themselves too hard."
"What do you and Lucifer major in?"
"He does potions and curses. I focus on history and literature. Somehow, despite my sin, I tend to be a more patient teacher than him. At least, that's what I've heard from other students."
"That's really interesting." MC appears deep in thought. "Do you think I could major in something?"
Honestly, I don't know how to answer that question, mainly because we've never had beings outside the Devildom attend RAD before Diavolo implemented the exchange program. It wouldn't surprise me if he did allow MC and the others to declare a major eventually, but I don't know how long that would take. Would MC be alive by then? Or be in a good physical and mental state to take in additional knowledge, let alone teach an entire classroom? Personally, I think they have the best chance out of the initial exchange students of eventually declaring a major, but that isn't for me to determine.
"That would be something to ask Diavolo. I don't think I'm qualified to answer that question." MC nods their head.
"So, changing the subject...wanna watch a movie together?"
"Like, right now?"
"Yeah!" I sigh.
"As much as I would like to, I doubt the others would be happy if I kept you all to myself before they've even had the chance to say hi to you. I will have to take your offer some other time."
"Sounds good. I'll try to find a good movie for us to watch together in the meantime."
"You bring the movie, and I'll whip up something nice for us to eat." MC snorts in amusement. "Do you not think I'm capable of cooking, MC?"
"It's not that at all. Just reacting to an idea I had, that's all."
"What kind of thought?" Interesting. My question has made them tense up all of a sudden. Usually they only get that way if someone catches them doing something that they think they're not supposed to do. Like fiddling with strange objects.
Or having dirty thoughts.
I keep coming across the phrase "Netflix and chill" in the media I've been consuming, and it appears to be referring to hooking up with someone as a movie's playing in the background. Is MC wanting to do that with me?
Are they afraid I'd find the idea silly? Because I don't. I mean, if it was something that I was invested in, then I'd want to pay attention to whatever was playing, but I'm more than capable of choosing something that I can tune out as I focus on something else.
Especially if that something else happens to be MC.
I lean in closer to them to whisper,
"You know, I went ahead and assembled a collection of movies I thought you'd like." I plant a kiss right below MC's ear, making them shiver slightly. "I really enjoyed picking them out, actually." I begin moving down their neck. "It was fun thinking about what might appeal to you. There are so many genres that are worth exploring."

The Satanic Temple’s owner Cevin Soling really hates public schools
Tumblr media
Newly discovered passages from 2014’s “The Student Resistance Handbook” by Satanic Temple co-owner Cevin “Malcolm Jarry” Soling show that using “After School Satan” clubs to disrupt education isn’t a bug or a side effect of them; it’s the whole point.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Religious Accommodations
A religious belief must be sincerely held and “must occupy the same place in life of the [believer] as [would] orthodox belief in God.” In other words, so long as you sincerely believe something and that belief represents a significant part of your outlook, it can be deemed a religious belief under the law. This means you can create your own religion, or announce that you are part of a religious organization that supports individual autonomy and sovereignty such as Satanism. The benefits depend on what state you live in. Schools are designed not to treat people as individuals. The more students engage in asserting their individual religious beliefs and demand appropriate concessions, the harder it is for schools to operate.
Holidays
Some states that have enacted various forms of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) permit certain rights under the banner of religious freedom. For instance, in Texas students are excused from school to observe religious holy days. If you are a Satanist and live in Texas, you can insist on taking Halloween off. Obviously, you want to exploit this judiciously, but just doing this once will upset and disturb the administration because it invites others to do the same.
Hair Length and Dress Code
Religious exemptions can be requested to avoid having to adhere to school requirements for hair length and school uniforms. Be aware that this could involve being transferred to a campus that does not have these requirements.
Page 65 of “The Student Resistance Handbook” by Cevin Soling (2014)
Religious Symbols
Religious symbols are permitted and wearing a Satanic pentagram and other forms of Satanic jewelry is legally protected even though many school districts inappropriately ban such apparel.
Curriculum
In some states, you may be permitted to not attend classes or participate in activities that conflict with your religious beliefs by providing a written statement to your teacher that states a conflict exists. Remember, religious beliefs do not have to be rational or even self-consistent—just deeply held convictions. Please note that you cannot be exempt from an entire semester and you cannot be exempt from graduation requirements including those for advancing from one grade to another.

Form a Club
In most schools, students have great leeway in forming clubs of their choosing. Form a club that will likely offend the faculty. Some suggestions:
• Club for the Practice of Witchcraft and Dark Arts
• Club for the Worshipers of Satan
• Banned Book Club
• Advanced Studies in Contemporary Pornography Club
• End Compulsory Schooling Club
• Students for a Lower Drinking Age Club
• Students for the Legalization of Heroin Club
• Students for a Sensible School Budget by Lowering Faculty Wages Club
• Death Metal and Gangsta Rap Appreciation Club

Moreover, we’re still being sued by The Satanic Temple in federal court and now King County Superior Court.
TST is also still suing Newsweek and its reporter (but maybe not her anymore!) for writing about us. In addition, the Temple is now suing a TikToker in Texas for talking about our case. Check the pinned post for more.

An after school club connected to a group that embraces the virtues of Satan can continue to operate in the Saucon Valley School District, a federal judge ruled Monday.
The After School Satan Club is run by The Satanic Temple, a religious organization that promotes free speech, scientific inquiry and individual liberties. The temple's ideals are rooted in secular humanism. It advocates against hate groups, corporal punishment in public schools and religiously motivated attempts to restrict reproductive rights.
The temple's after school clubs, which have popped up in various districts in the U.S., allow students to participate in community service projects, nature-based activities, games, and arts and crafts.
The school district in Lehigh County had approved the temple's application to rent space at a middle school in February, but rescinded the approval after a social media campaign promoting the club violated the district's social media policy. Saucon Valley leaders claimed the social media posts prompted backlash from parents, community members and others who mistakenly believed the club was spon.sored by the school district.
The district further said it had received an anonymous voicemail from a person threatening to "shoot up the school" due to it permitting the After School Satan Club. The club's approval was revoked because its permission slips to join didn't explicitly state that it was not district-spon.sored, the district said.
After Saucon Valley prohibited the club, a lawsuit was filed in March on behalf of The Satanic Temple by the ACLU, the ACLU of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia-based lawfirm Dechert LLP. The suit contended that the club's activities are protected by the First Amendment.
The lawsuit argued that the First Amendment does not allow the government to give preferential treatment to one religious group over another, even if a group's beliefs are unpopular.
Judge John M. Gallagher, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, wrote in his ruling that the Satantic Temple's free speech rights must be protected.
"When confronted with a challenge to free speech, the government's first instinct must be to forward expression rather than quash it. Particularly when the content is controversial or inconvenient," Gallagher wrote. "Nothing less is consistent with the expressed purpose of American government to secure the core, innate rights of its people."
June Everett, the Satanic Temple's director of after school programming, applauded the decision.
"This is welcome news for Saucon Valley students and families seeking to participate in the supportive and inclusive community provided by ASSC meetings," Everett said. "The ruling affirms that schools may not discriminate against groups on the basis of their beliefs or faith. The district must allow all qualified organizations to use district facilities, even if some in the community object."
The federal court ruling in Pennsylvania follows a similar decision in February over the After School Satan Club's chapter at school district in Virginia. The Satantic Temple was supported by the ACLU in that case, too.
The Satanic Temple says it promotes the virtues of benevolence, empathy, critical thinking, problem solving, creative expression, personal sovereignty and compassion. The group, founded in 2013, is distinct from the Church of Satan, which was founded in the 1960s by former carnival worker Anton LaVey, author of "The Satanic Bible." The Church of Satan is also monotheistic, but its activities are more rooted in occult rituals and a membership hierarchy based on meritocracy.
Last year, students at Garnet Valley School District in Delaware County successfully lobbied to have the district alter its dress code to allow clothing promoting the local Satanic Delco congregation. The district had prohibited clothing with Satanic or cultic references. A similar dress code was eliminated the year prior in the Rose Tree Media School District, also in Delaware County.
Sara Rose, deputy legal director the ACLU of Pennsylvania, said the ruling in the Saucon Valley School District case reinforces The Satantic Temple's Constitutional rights.
"This ruling sends a powerful message that the First Amendment protects the viewpoints and beliefs of all people and faiths," Rose said. "When a school district opens up its facilities, it cannot discriminate based on religious beliefs. This ruling reinforces the principle of equal access and ensures that all views have a fair opportunity to be expressed."

If you could relive any of your memories, which would it be?
That is an interesting question. A hard question truly at 30 years old. I have so many memories now.
But I think I would choose.....
The day my 10th grade English teacher praised one of the poems I wrote.
It's been a while since that day and sure I could have picked something in more recent times but that memory still sparks so much joy in me and here's why.
I had an incredibly easy time in school until the end where the ADHD overpowered my ability to bs everything. So, any praise given to me on intelligence didn't really mean much cause I didn't put any effort into it. And that mattered to me. Because if I put effort in then I struggled against my disorder and won.
CW: small reference to suicidal ideation
Context for this: up until this point I had only ever written from my darker emotions. My poetry was sad, depressing and to be frank suicidal. But we had an assignment and I chose to write about the snow. I've always loved the snow so, I took one of my favorite forms of writing and I made something happy for the first time in my life. And it was a struggle. I wasn't sure what to write or how to get my emotions across because I had never done it before. But I did it and the pride from doing something new and happy made me ecstatic.
I only became more happier when my English teacher came to me later on my own and praised my writing. Not in front of people just on my own. She told me that she wanted to know if I wanted to put it out so others could see it and with that praise I did. For the first distinct time in my life someone had praised me for something I actually didn't do naturally and it was the best feeling in the world.

Season 1 is my favorite of all time but if you're looking for just good fun scifi vibes season 2 had the best run of episodes imo. There's one very notable low in the season that we don't need to talk about but otherwise this is peak Doctor Who to me.

So, TST organized an After School Satan Club in Wilmington Ohio this month. The response from local Christians has been predictable:
Tumblr media
Of course, Satan is "something evil and bad and dark" to most religious communities, but the concept of a "Kids Krusade" is fit for a children's program? Nothing about that concept is objectionable?
There needs to be alternatives and inclusive options for kids in extra-curricular activities hosted by schools outside of the established norms. If a KIDS KRUSADE is allowed to operate out of a government institution, then so are we. Hail Satan.

Hey, I saw your thing about the TST, and I'm best at absorbing info with video essays, do you have any other overview VEs that aren't from illuminaughti? They're a... pretty awful person(there's plenty of things online about her) and I'd prefer not to give her ad Rev, ya feel? If not, that's chill! Just wondering if y'all had a good alternative.
If you're just looking for a quick overview, maybe this would work?
It's very, very basic, but it does involve listening instead of reading.
youtube
This one is better quality, but it's focused on The Satanic Temple's After School Satan clubs.
youtube
Unfortunately, due to TST's litigiousness, most people have been shy to do any sort of critical coverage at all, and it's much easier to just repeat talking points about pwning the Christians for easy likes/views.

Zhaoxi being the harem centre MC of the Devildom Dad AU is possibly one of my favourite concepts ever because 1. it opens up so many shenanigan opportunities, and more importantly 2. it gives at least one IK a big loving family to grow up with where she can just be a kid. With Zhao's harem specifically though I'm specifically having thoughts about Lucifer being absolutely obsessed with this loser (affectionate)
Like we already know in canon that Lucifer goes all goopy when he's in love, he just likes to hide it. He keeps losing track of things at student council meetings because he gets distracted staring at Zhao. He figures out one day that if he puts parts of their names together he gets Zhaolu meaning 'finding a path' and he is so delighted by this that he's in a good mood for the rest of the week. Zhao thanks him for making IK lunch by clapping him on the back (in a really wimpy way) and Lucifer blushes as if he's kabedonned him or something. Lucifer finds out that Zhao enjoys music and internally he's like "we have so much in common <3"
Just. Avatar of Pride Lucifer, good at everything, stunningly good-looking, very important and powerful, with this massive head-over-heels crush on a man that only comes up to like, just below his shoulder, who practically has to be watered like a houseplant. I love it.
lucifer internally turning into a schoolgirl with a crush when he falls for someone feels simultaneously COMPLETELY out of the question, but also somehow in character... do you think he'd secretly open an incognito tab on his ddd so that he could put his and zhao's names in one of those love compatibility tests
