--- The sun was harsh, but Ceru was prepared! Quickly setting up under one of the breach umbrellas they were quick to get their sunscreen and jacket ready. After setting up the volleyball net with Leona, Tuna trotted over to see Ceru. "Hey!!! I'm so glad you could make it!!! When I got your RSVP I was so happy!" The smile on Tuna's face seemed to stretch for miles. Leona yelled out from the makeshift volleyball court "Come on we don't have all day, are you two playing or not?" After a nod of agreement from Ceru and Grim, the two followed after Tuna to the court. "Alright!" Tuna exclaimed "It'll be me, Ceru and Grim VS Leona and Ruggie!" With a smug grin Leona questioned "What? you guys get a third and we don't? seems a bit unfair doesn't it... Well whatever, we'll still win against you pipsqueaks" The trio grimaced at the snide remark but readied themselves on their side of the net. "You're gonna eat those words Leona!" Tuna wailed as they set the ball. The game was heating up! Players running about the field and tumbling through the sand. Tuna performed a few exaggerated shots, yelling 'ROLLING THUNDER' after some rolls. Leona retorted with a hard spike, but Ceru was able to catch the ball! However, the pure strength behind the shot sent the ball flying up high. Tuna and Grim both reach for the ball, but end up missing the receive! Depth perception be damned this ball was gone! Point for Leona & Ruggie. The game went on plenty, but it was quite an easy win for the two opposing jocks. I mean they do play Magift and train constantly, it should be no surprise. Ceru, Tuna and Grim collapse to the sand a sigh of defeat resonates through the air. "Welp..." Tuna sighed but gave a light hearted chuckle "Don't worry team! We'll win the next one for sure!" "THE NEXT ONE?!" Grim and Ceru exclaim, not understanding Tuna's never ending energy. ---

YES as long as it is not covered in vines hehe. i think post-canon she would probably have a lot of conflicting feelings about being in her tower in reverie just because of how long she'd been trapped in there but i think she would really value being inside (spending months alone in a forest is Not Fun) and having a safe, comfortable living space. she told the goose she that when she goes to sleep she might not wake up for a hundred years again so i think it's really important for her to make the place she sleeps safe and i think that would result in a really comfy cozy home. i have so many silly headcanons for what she does post-canon and baking is one of them and i would love to be roommates with her and try her baking. also !!! her little epilogue including her getting into spinning made me so happy because i crochet and i think fiber art parallel play would go crazy

14. i am very partial to anything with puffy sleeves for her !!! i think she would experiment with a lot of different fashion types post-canon but i just looked back through all my ros art and i have been drawing her with puffy sleeves since january which is a little silly but i love to ignore official art. Tbh i am not sure about specific aesthetics but i'd like to think she branches out and tries more androgynous or masc styles but still enjoys dressing really fancy and feminine

18. ouugughhhh my god everything going on with snow white and cinderella. they have such unique relationships with each other and i am obsessed i am always thinking about them. i just started my neverafter rewatch (i am being really normal and watching each episode once a week on the date it came out last year) and recently gathered clips for a glassbriars edit and i feel crazy. there's so much there. i could go on for ages about the daughters of the crown and queerness but even just focusing on the explicit non-romantic canon of it they are so fascinating. sorry i feel like i have to go pace around my room just thinking about them. cinderella is the one who's there for her when her entire worldview is shattered and is the first princess she meets and she Gets It she gets what ros is going through and connects so deeply with her and i was hooked the moment their scene in ep 4 started but Especially with the line "do not take the crimes of those who have manipulated us and put them at the feet of the world" i was instantly obsessed !!!! and their moment after the final battle is so sweet they mean to much to me they really love each other. and snow is someone with a story that is Extremely similar and also i could talk a lot about rosamund and warmth and coldness and i will maybe talk about it once i finish my rewatch and gather all the quotes and moments i'm thinking of but snow's physical coldness ties into that for me. as well as the undeath stuff !!! and i am never not thinking of "i expected no one more than you to understand" "i expected no one more than you to want to live" IT MAKES ME CRAZYYYYY. AND them critting and killing each other is WILD it's Perfect. the dice do tell the story!!! and then the epilogue scene and the fact that siobhan completely initiated it is so good. no clue what would've happened with gerard and snow but i am so glad it didn't happen. and of course i am always thinking about the dress up scene in the snow queen's castle. i love them a lot can you tell i'm normal about them btw

And it manages to make me feel better about myself in new ways I didn’t know it could ALL the time. I am so glad that my love of conventionally maligned features has spread to you! I've always had affection for the monstrous (and i use that word in a wholly positive meaning) body and it's spread to features most people consider unattractive and ugly. partially because I AM monstrous, partially because I politically and morally believe it's important to include, and partially because I would just be so unbelievably bored with the homogeneous standard of beauty most people tend to like.

How WONDERFUL that something I could never have imagined exists in the same world as I do?? That's like how I feel with butch women. so called "ugly" people, people who decide to just EXIST even fully aware that they'll get shit about it. how beautiful. how exquisite. one day I want to be just like them.

The writing is always excellent and the ideas are all so intriguing and dark >3< They really make my mind turn and contemplate, especially in your full-length fics where you're able to fully develop the characters! :D (serial killer Jade will always be my favorite <3 Altho I saw the mangaka Jade post a bit ago and it's so big brained too!! *-* A sinister eel in his natural habitat how can I resist Nun darling w/ incubus!Malleus and priest!Rollo too tho orzzz >3< The concept of it is so good!! Also, you really seem to master the art of writing things plausibly and explaining it in an artistic way, while many others would likely brush over such nuances (such as how Jade gets away with being a serial killer and hiding the bodies; the plants & bone meal made terrifyingly realistic sense o-o ). I just think it's a lovely detail you tend to include in your fics and asks that I much adore >3<

And saying I write things in a plausible and artistic way omg!!!! I'm flattered!!! >v< I like adding lots of little details in fics, so I'm happy to know you appreciate it!! With sk!Jade, I wanted to write him in a way that felt somewhat realistic and twist seemingly innocent things like him owning lots of flowers and plants into something disturbing. Jade is a character who is very good at hiding in plain sight and being subtle and calculating, so I wanted his killing methods and what he uses the bodies for to reflect that. I imagine he doesn't like letting valuable things go to waste, and it can be a hassle trying to dispose of so many bones (especially if he's keeping the parts of one or more grown adult victims in his home). And since bone meal has many uses, (in Jade's mind) it's the best alternative rather than simply scattering intact bones in a forest. I think a small detail like that makes Jade even more scary!

I ENCOURAGE READING THE MANGA, THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT EXPRESSIONS!! it's also great with mood whiplash scenes; one moment i can be fawning over how pretty the art is, the next i'm staring in awed silence at the dark parts of the story. like, the scene where maomao is at lihua/rifa's palace is AMAZING. (i totally get what you mean with manga too! i don't buy manga as much any more because digital tends to have better quality and is easier for me to read. plus, there's something about having a novel in my hands that doesn't compare to holding manga, if that makes sense?)

no problem; i'm glad to share the good news about the LN! i usually buy just the paperback and read that in bed because 1. comfy cosy vibes, and 2. easier on my eyes. (i also don't think it's weird; i've bought multiple copies of games over the years because i enjoy having access to it on different consoles (and enjoy modding them, in case of games on pc.))

agreed! the love triangle / having two people compete over a third person dynamic in isekai is just… awkward. especially in some manga/manhwa where it's obvious who the main couple is? it makes all the interactions so forced and usually leaves me either annoyed with the plot or the characters themselves (and not in the way the author probably intended). ngl, i am a lover of morally ambiguous male characters, but it's so weird how people condemn female characters for being rude, but the dudes all get 'oh, but he has ✨reasons✨' or grasp at straws to justify it. even when the women also have reasons or backstories to explain why they do what they do?

i also get annoyed when i see the female lead get bashed in comments for not being 'strong enough' when usually the FL has either been abused, traumatised, or just?? cries because they've been through so much??? it's like the FL can only be praised if they're going through their struggles the 'right' way, and emotions aren't allowed. like, no! give me all the characters and their responses; give me the characters who repress their feelings AND the characters who wear their hearts on their sleeves!

unrelated to the above, i started ascendance of a bookworm! i was at chapter 13 and crying from lutz and myne's friendship + wanting otto's love and citizenship in a side story. then i read further and started crying for an entirely different reason and OW MY SOUL. currently up to chapter 26, i'm both proud of my kids and just want to hug them. (also, i love how they deal with myne having a weak body; i have issues with my own body, and it's nice to see it taken seriously and also not instantly cured via plot magic.)

Collecting manhwa is okay for me for certain series, but reading manga backwards is just really awkward. I can't get used to its physical formatting. Using the panels as reference for practicing art had been my goal buying manga and manhwa but I really just don't enjoy the drawing process. ;;v;; I think it also has to do with that lol. I love art but I get giddier and enjoy reading pretty words better!! I love reading in bed too but my optometrist scolded me for doing that cause it made my eyes really bad xD. I do still read in bed but not as much anymore cause of that ssh don't tell her /s

Right?? It's just so sad misogyny is still blatant in fiction. It's already happening irl and you can't even use fiction as escapism cause it's there too. :'( I like it when series write good characters. Ultimately for me, that's what how you can tell a writing is good; if they can separate that. That's why I love Apothecary Diaries; you fall in love with Maomao as a person. She's a great character who just happens to be a girl. You love her for who she is, and not because she's a woman, or the narrative tells you a bajillion times she is a "badass female protagonist so you should love her!!!" (which she is ofc but that's not the entirety of Maomao's personality. She's more than that!! And I love her for more than just that.) JgdghgjI I just love female friendships so much. I wish we have more in shoujo and series in general. I want platonic female friendships; sapphic relationships, all of them. I love women. Funny you mentioned that cause I wish people would stop seeing femininity as a weakness cause it's not!! It's really ironic seeing people say a female character is "strong" because she's physically strong and have masculine traits, but have no substance or character development beyond that. To strengthen my point above, a female character is a great character because she was a great character to begin with and does not depend on harmful stereotypes just so they can be written lazily as "female" (I hope I'm making sense).

I'm so happy you liked it! Bookworm is so well-written and incredibly detailed in worldbuilding, lore and character development it's almost intimidating! I love its realistic portrayal of human relationships and disability; of found family and loneliness. Its focus on the world and the people around it makes the characters a lot more...believable(?) Like you can feel that they have lives outside of their interactions with Myne. Myne is just a heartbeat of a human life trying to survive in the unfair caste system she is born in. assidfsf. Fr I feel like I'm Myne's parent; seeing her grow, seeing her achieve her dreams and be happy and live like a normal girl makes me cry. I really recommend reading the LN of part 2 especially the last volume. I bawled like a baby in one of the scenes. Her family is just so wholesome. ;;v;; Sorry for rambling. I love this series so much and I've been trying to hold back reading my backlog cause I know I would finish it in just a few days.

Okayyy, I grabbed a bunch of this year's (plus one from December, technically two) actually like "finished drawings" and ramble abt the good, the bad, and the ugly. I just watched an artists tier their art. So yeah lol maybe I'm in the mood to ramble abt mine lol. Below the cut because...so many pictures lol.

Like, don't get me wrong, I loooooove this Frances drawing, but like. It's kinda just there. Like I feel good when I see it. But I WANT IT TO FEEL MORE AAAAA. Like I'm sure abt almost all of these, I just wish I had given it an atmosphere. I actually think this has a cute light palette it actually kinda works. But I wish I had actual lighting in it <3. Where is the vibe and scene?! I think I should go old photograph. Which is what I wanted to do, but I have no idea how. I still plan on expanding out this drawing, maybe changing it slightly, so hopefully, I will do that better!! I also kinda put this Andy with it. Because I feel kinda the same abt it. I think both lack shadows too, which goes with lack of environment. But I think the soft feel of Andy's is nice! I'm glad I colored it. And actually think I like how undefined the background it on this one. It does something for me! Oh didn't mean it, but love the contrast of the complimentary book cover! Didn't intend that, just picked a book I enjoy and think Andy would enjoy. But like that affect.

Despite really feeling like Andy is still not mixed with the background, I actually really like this one! I think toneally it has a vibe. And it's just like a portrait so I cannot complain too much!

I really enjoy this Mary and Frank piece! I love the colors and like how its kinda painterly but still heavily influenced by the sketch and it can still be seen. I like that I attempted more usage of different hues, not sticking to the main color. Like Mary's sleeve? LOVE THAT. Same with the sweater detail on Frank! I put the Kik one with it because for a quick sketch turned painting I think it is good. I like the vibe. I think I should either heavily fix it or redo it. I think if I keep going at it, I can make it a piece I am really proud of!

Okay, admittedly, I put these together because they're kinda the same size but lol. Andy; tried something new, think I heavily failed. But I DO like the colors and like I tried texture, though you can tell I didn't know what to do with it lol. The Lincoln, this piece is rlly old, AND IT WAS BADDDD. I think the half assed fixed version is 1000% better. It's by no means perfect. I rEALLY like the shadow of his head on the pillow. But aha, just wish there was more. But overall not terrible! I like it for what it is. And has a special place for being like my first Lincoln piece that wasn't just his fatigues one. :")

LOVE THE VIBE, I like Grayscale, like the intense shadow. I think the shadows on him could be a but nicer of course. And I do think his hair was kinda poorly done but oh well. I am not the biggest fan of his face? It's not bad, but I think I have done better John faces. I do know; I detailed his face in color and I think I like that better lol.

Lincoln, like, I like the face and coloring of that but it's just so meh. It's a figure like I always do. I like the coloring a lot more when I went back and added deeper shadows. But idk. It's okay </3. And oh!! I group a different Lincoln picture with this one, it has no background but the shadows on his uniform are SO good. It made me loooovve the drawing. And is still a fave. It is what inspired me to add deeper shadows here.

And I've never shared this version of this John drawing. It's a shaving cream prank. Dear God. Help me. I love how John's body turned out. I think his face is nice; its okay. I think I sucked at again giving him a shadow. I couldn't commit to the main shadow and I think it just kinda sucked all life from it. With the Lincoln drawing I don't like the background. With the John one I am torn. I think I should have detailed the ground more? Maybe? Idk. These two, Frank by the water and Andy reading, were all close together and done in January, and they all kinda have the same bckgrnd theme. Idk how I feel abt that choice. For the guys' anyways.

Actually seeing all of these were nice! Because I actually do like nearly all of these pieces! And I feel nervous but very inspired to keep trying to motivate myself to finally take that final step. And maybe try to play into that for the entire piece, not just adding it at the end...and not adding it. I rlly want to try to get a bit more creative too, like interesting things not just person standing there. But idk.

also When it comes to animation it's can be Stressful and taxing on your energy and time. Hell most of the times when I do some long animations i pull all nighters. But yea whenever i dont have too much school work and in the animation energy mood and such then yea! Also to learn about animation and how to animate, well look up how to animate on (whatever animation program you're using) I use Flipaclip for my animations however.. ITS SUCH A PAIN TO ANIMATE WITH AT TIMES So big warnings. But its the best I have at the moment and once i master Flipaclip i might get to other animation programs such. but AAAAA Sorry tangent Again Thank you and you're kind words!
