All four of them sat at a table with high chairs, not far from the bar. After their second round of tequila shots, Pandora leaned closer to him. “The bartender is looking at you like you’re the eighth wonder of the world,” she whispered in his ear. Immediately, he turned around to see the man she was talking about, and he was met with the most beautiful eyes he'd ever seen. The guy noticed him looking and smiled the brightest smile, at which Regulus spit his drink a little. The bartender had the audacity to chuckle at that.

Regulus turned back to his friends, thinking about the rebound he had considered earlier. He ended his drink in one big gulp, putting the glass back down with a thud.

“Anyone wants anything? No? Good” Regulus said this quickly, jumping from his stool and heading straight for the bar.

When he got there, the Pretty Eyes Guy was busy with another customer, and Regulus had time to look at him properly.

The Guy looked like some Latino god with his tanned skin, well-built arms covered in patchwork tattoos, messy hair, and gold accessories—glasses, earrings, and a single signet on his left hand’s middle finger. He had nice hands, Regulus thought.

When it was his turn to order, The Guy’s eyes sparkled with joy.

“Hi there, what can I get you?” Oh god, he had such a nice, deep voice.

“Um, one long island, please.” His voice, on the other hand, sounded like he just had a stroke.

“On it” The Guy winked and started preparing his order. Throughout the whole thing, Regulus's eyes continued to follow his movements. At some point, the guy smirked and said, “If you keep undressing me with your eyes, I’m going to catch a cold,” and it was Regulus turn to chuckle.

“Oh, nice one…”

“James” The Guy, James, filled in, stealing a glimpse.

“Nice one, James,” Regulus said softly.

When James finished preparing his drink and Reg took out his phone to pay for it, the bartender shook his head. “On the house. Enjoy…”

“Regulus”

“Oh. Oh, I like that." James smiled that bright smile again, and Regulus only winked in response.

He went to order three more times, only flirting innocently. He found the courage to speak his mind when he got there for the fifth time.

“So, listen, James. Would-“

“I’m off at one and live just down the street,” the bartender interrupted, tilting his head and smirking at him. “My roommate is out all night, so you can scream my name as loud as you need to, sugar,” he added, lowering his voice.

And Regulus, well, he just laughed at James. How can someone be so good-looking and talk so badly?

Either way, as Barty said, he got really lucky and actually got some.

Some notes:

On the SMP tags from, Dominion SMP is new since last month! Congrats on the canon tag! Witchcraft SMP is still not a canonized tag despite having over 3 pages of hits on its "uncategorized tags" page, which would put it at at least 41 fics. I honestly assume that one's a backlog situation and it's gonna be canonized any day now. Mianite still does not have a canon tag.

Most of the smaller SMPs did not show notable increase in fics, and one (Epic SMP) actually went down in number of works. The only one that really saw increase was Outsiders SMP, that went up by 24 fics from last month's 197.

In the Mid-size SMPs, the standout was Lifesteal, which went up by 91 fics. Fable also showed pretty outstanding creation for its size, with an additional 48 fics since last month.

With the kick-off of the new season, 3rd life saw exactly a hundred more fics written this month than they did the last time in the same period, with 251 new fics last month and 351 new fics last month.

Dream SMP continued to decline. It went up by 1,703, less than the previous months 1,978, (and the previous month's 2,614), and it looking like October’s 7,292 might not be hit again. Hermitcraft also saw less fics written last month, going up by 497, which is less than the previous month's 558 (and the previous month's 665), but again not reaching October’s 1,003.

Overall every fandom that wasn't 3rd life saw less fics, which could be attributed to time of year (school for many people, plus seasonal blah for the northern hemisphere), or could reflect an overall contraction of the fandom. Pure tagged-as-minecraft saw almost a thousand less fics in this time, (848 this time, 1,893 last time), although Video Blogging's 3,343 was pretty comparable to las month's 3,674.

Fics are still primarily in english, the one exception being Karmaland.

Space Shuttle Enterprise and the 747 SCA taking off from Edwards Air Force Base during the second manned captive test flight.

"The second captive-active flight took place on June 28, 1977, with astronauts Joe Engle and Richard Truly at the controls of the orbiter, was designed to simulate the separation maneuver that would be used for the first free flight. Takeoff was at 8:52 a.m. PDT and during the initial climb-out various low-speed flight control system tests were performed by both the Enterprise and the SCA. A high-speed (310 mph) set of flight control system tests were then performed to assess the accuracy of predicted control surface responses and structural characteristics with respect to aerodynamic vibration."
