there's people who have incredible levels of talent for worldbuilding and subtle storytelling and even visual effects and they use it to make intricately crafted interconnected ASMR videos with fucking lore and shit and most people will NEVER know because they fall the fuck asleep
style savvy styling star went OFF with the fact that you could replay the idol music sequences with your own character and outfit lipsyncing to it. every game with character customization and in-engine music videos NEEDS to let you do this
Do you ever just have to many ideas? Making a comic is my dream and I am trying to pursue making a small wholesome adventure comic to get some practice in so I can make the bigger stuff-
The bigger stuff I am still working on in the background, but I have sorta told myself to not attempt it yet because I want a certain level of skill before I touch it.
I UNDERSTAND THIS THOUGHT PROCESS ISN'T A GOOD ONE- but I have also acknowledged that I will not be happy unless I can draw backgrounds which is my biggest struggle, the comics I want to make need backgrounds to complete my vision.
Which is why I am taking the time to teach myself work arounds, shortcuts and 3D modeling!
It's hard not immediately being good at something, I've spend 10 years improving my character art and I have neglected backgrounds so they are two different levels.
My point is that I keep having ideas for comics, I have a back log in my mind that makes me want to just do what I can!
I'm merely frustrated, but I am hoping I can gain the motivation to gain the skill set I need to make at the very least simple backgrounds!
The existence of demakes fascinate me. So far I’ve encountered demakes of two major games. The first is for Bloodborne, a hugely popular 8-year-old PS4 exclusive constantly surrounded by rumors of a PC port that has yet to materialize.
The other is Dead Space, a fifteen-year-old game that kickstarted a beloved horror franchise that was ultimately destroyed by Electronic Arts‘s mismanaging of it. A game that has also just recently gotten a modern remake.
The two extremes are just so compelling. Remakes of acclaimed games from one or two generations ago are becoming increasingly common in a AAA video game industry that seems more unwilling than ever to commit resources to anything new. Preferring instead to renovate, repackage, and resell titles that have already proven themselves to be successful.
Demakes are similarly based on nostalgia, but instead of modernizing a game, they - by some people’s estimates - make the game visually and technically worse. Rather than modernization, beautification, Demakes are a forced regression to PS1-era graphics, sound design, and controls...but the games are still recognizable.
Though both exist on this nostalgia spectrum, I have a greater admiration for Demakes. No high-fidelity polish, no sanding away the original’s rough edges, no alterations to fit the whims of modern appetites and sensibilities. Instead it strips these things away; a bared skeletal core of mechanics and base aesthetics that are otherwise unpalatable to executives and franchise owners.
They should have released the 999 remaster on the 3ds so we get voice acting and the flow chart and stuff, but keep the dual screen format of the original. Change my mind
Wasn't the 3ds already phasing out by 2017? I'd imagine the reason they didn't want that would be related to that, also, does Nintendo allow the word Fuck to actually be sai- nevermind virtue's last reward exists so that wouldn't have been an issue
No yeah I agree that would have been wonderful actually, although I am partial to the lack of a flowchart enhancing the experience of having to figure out the story, I get that it's a quality of life feature but the function it serves in vlr just doesn't match with what 999 is trying to go for if you ask me
[video: two pixie wizards race through a garden and forest on beetles, complete with saddles and reins. They shoot spells at each other as they race, but are derailed when a bird (proportionally much bigger than them) swoops in and grabs the tall wizard. The short wizard decides to save them instead of winning the race, and after tall wizard crosses the finish line first, they give the trophy to short wizard, and they are now friends.]
