a story in three parts:
bbc merlin - 03x12 The Coming of Arthur, Part I
that's arthur's "alone....meaning....don't tell merlin where we're going so it still counts as a secret" face btw

Did they have this long term story planned in season 3 or was it an idea that came later?

Okay, so we're using Morse core to signal. And the signal they were calling is revival fluid. Gotta need some muscle to help the main objective out.

POI 03x12: Aletheia
Friends, I have taken extraordinary measures. For the first time in the Miro Does POI series, I have drafted this on desktop so that I can use more than 10 images! 😱 (That is partially because when I started this you could not have more than 10 images anywhere. But only partially.) There was so much good stuff to highlight with this episode and for once tumblr gif search is giving me exactly what I want! Ok, here we go.
Shall we get the negativity out of the way up front? This was literally the only thing I liked about John all episode:
He’s blaming The Machine for Carter’s death now what the actual fuck? Though Harold’s reaction when he showed up and “Inordinately happy to see you” was lovely even if I was too annoyed at John to properly enjoy the Rinchiness.
Ok we’re ignoring the John bullshit and moving on because the rest of this episode was INCREDIBLE.
First, we’ve got this phenomenal exchange:
I did really like the developing Finch & Shaw dynamic.
I'm with ya Sameen!
Was this line cheesy? Yes. Did it make me grin? Also yes.
I love Leslie Odom Jr. as a bad guy who sort of has a point even if he takes it too far and his methods are bad.
The whole Control vs. Root situation was FANTASTIC.
So intense. Loved it.
No, Amy Acker, you're the best.
The Harold backstory continues to be gutting. It’s ok POI, I didn’t need my heart.
But in an episode of standout moments, the conversation between Harold and Arthur about sentience was just perfection. So well written. So well acted.
Brilliant.
Such a great episode. Now if we can just get the John storyline back on track, we’ll be golden.
