Babe curls up into Ash’s side in the backseat, howling. He cackles along with them, unable to stop at the look on David’s face in the rear view mirror. His hands clench around the steering wheel as his mate bites back a smile.
“Wheeeeeeen you’re looking to go out with your friends and play,” they start singing again, clutching at their stomach as laughter bubbles up.
“It’s time for a little... kara-o-kay,” Ash picks up where they left off, dragging it out.
“Baaabe, it’s time for you and do re mi... To toss ‘em back and get ready to scream,” they let out a high pitched yelp at the lyrics, not wanting to add to David’s probably growing headache. Not too much, anyway.
“We’ll start with a little Bon Jovi,” Angel joins in soon after, grinning from ear to ear as the Alpha next to them grumbles something under his breath.
“And then sing our favorite journey soooooooooongs. And even Davey’s gonna come along!”
There’s a few moments of silence until Angel bursts out laughing, following by Babe buring their face in their mate’s shirt.
“There’s our warm up song,” Ash wheezes.
“Nobody,” grumpy man huffs,” calls me Davey. Am I clear?”
Before the beta can say anything else in his defence, Angel interrupts “but Daveyyyyy-”

“C’mere Babe.”
They stumble over to where he’s slumped over on the couch, giggling as they fall down next to him.
“H-h-have you had water?” his words are slurred, and they can’t seem to make out if it’s him or them. A few shots too many, they realize as they tilt their head up to look at him, everything spinning. They take a few seconds to respond.
“Not... yet. One more round of karaoke. Pleeeeeease?” They take an unsteady step forward, swaying and pulling on his arm.
“Anything for you, Babe.” He leans forward to press a kiss to their cheek and makes his way to the line leading onstage.
“I have something special in mind.”

“The moon is high, like your friends were the night that we first met,” he grins down at them, voice gruff in the microphone. He glances at David as though remembering something secret. The Alpha scowls.
Babe hadn’t expected him to sing Taylor Swift, but for them, he would.
“I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper rings.”
Babe moves closer to the stage, throwing their hands up to cheer.
“Uh huh, that’s right. Darling,” he bends down and reaches a hand out to touch their cheek,” you’re the one I want.”
The song finishes more quickly than they’d expected as he walks off-stage to pull them to his chest. After giving them a warm hug, they turn to face him only to be attacked with kisses- first to their nose, then to your temple and forehead, and then to their mouth, a soft, deep kiss meant only for them.
“I liked the song,” they insist as they pull apart.
“I’m glad, baby.” He brushes a hand down the back of their shirt, settling his palms on their hips.
“I love you, my beautiful mate, you.” He nuzzles his face into their neck, muttering a soft “you smell nice” to which they chuckle and reply “no I don’t”.
“Yes, you do,” he tightens his hands on their hips and rubs a thumb over their clothes.
“I’d marry you with paper rings. I meant it, Babe. I’m gonna marry you, someday.”
