Hey y'all! Here in the US Sep 15th-Oct 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month! Today I'm taking a moment to spotlight all the Latino/a/e/x queens in global productions of Six. Quick note that Hispanic/Latino identities have quite a bit of complexity that I'm trying to factor in while making this post; for further explanation of which queens were/were not included, check the "read more."
Aragon: Phoenix Jackson Mendoza (Brazilian, 21-23 Australian Tour), Gerianne Pérez (Puerto Rican, Boleyn Tour)
Boleyn: Erin Ramirez (Peruana-American, alt B/H/P, Aragon Tour), Analise Rios (Puerto Rican, Breakaway 6.0)
Some stats:
- We still have not seen any Latina Seymours who actually got to debut (although Alizé Cruz did cover the role as rehearsal alt).
- Howard has been played by the most Latino/a/e/x queens, with four principals as well as two alts and a rehearsal swing.
- Meanwhile Cleves and Parr have had three principals as well as two alts and a rehearsal swing; Boleyn has had one principal as well as three alts and two rehearsal swings; and Aragon has had two principals as well as two alts and a rehearsal swing.
A couple notes and definitions:
- All information is from this post. There may be additional info or queens missing, as it's only information I specifically have been able to verify. This list also doesn't encompass the full breadth of many queens' identities; many of them are of mixed race and ethnicity, or of several nationalities. For more info on any given queen, that post has everything I know.
- The terms "Hispanic" and "Latino" are often conflated within the US, but have different meanings. "Hispanic" refers to someone with heritage from a Spanish-speaking country, such as Spain, Mexico, Chile, and Cuba. "Latino" (or Latina/Latine) refers to someone of Latin American heritage, which by broad definition includes South America, Central America, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and some of the Caribbean, including non-Spanish-speaking countries like Brazil. While the month is called Hispanic Heritage Month, it's typically defined as focusing on celebrating those of Latin American descent. As such, I'm not including queens of Hispanic but non-Latin American descent.
- However, there is further debate and difference in identification even beyond that in terms of which countries/people identify as Latin American. For anyone from an area where Latin American identification may differ, such as most of the Caribbean, I generally acquiesced to what the queen themselves identify as. As such, there's very little inclusion of Caribbean queens on this list, because most of them identify themselves as purely Caribbean rather than Latin American.
- This debate also comes up with the many Filipino/Pinoy queens. Many identify themselves as being of Hispanic AND Asian heritage due to Spanish colonization in the region, which would make them Hispanic rather than Latino. Of course, there is a possibility that some of the queens could be have mixed Filipina AND Latina background; however, I don't have anything where any of them identified themselves as such, and so in keeping with specifically Latin American queens I did not include them in this post. (You can find them in the Asian American and Pacific Islander post, however!)
- Additionally, this post does not include Rhiannon Bacchus as she was part of the cancelled Breakaway 2.0 cast. She is Guyanese.

>“I’m not saying you should run...” Actually, that’s exactly what she’s saying. The last thing Anna needs is a kid getting hurt while she’s fighting back a thing with tentacles. How did a thing with tentacles even make it to New York? She is positive this is Strange’s fault somehow. “But maybe don’t stand in the way of the spiny tentacle?”

Howard - Tsemaye or Rebecca or Aimie/Vicki/Sam/Courtney M&C/Mallory

will VERY much make her lees ask for tickles if they're being a brat about it (coughAnnecough)
always has an iron grip on whoever she's wrecking
legit didn't know how ticklish she was until one of the other queens poked her in the ribs to get her attention
and she S C R E A M E D
she immediately lies (badly) and says that she just got startled
no one believes her
has a very raspy cackle (after the initial scream)
Anne definitely wrecks her the most out of the queens. But as soon as she first hears Lina's (that's what the fandom calls her right) laugh, her jaw drops. She thinks it's the prettiest thing ever
her ribs and underarms are two major death spots for her
because of Henrat, she actually doesn't like her laugh and attempts to hide it or at least muffle it
hasn't known a day of peace ever since the others found out about her insecurity
Anne Boleyn
the most mischievous mf you will ever meet
she just randomly pokes ppl in the side to see them jump, and acts like she didn't do anything
she thinks it's the funniest thing
when she's wrecking someone, she'll often rapidly switch between places to keep the lee on their toes
she loves teasing whoever she's wrecking
"tktktktktk"
really fucking ticklish though
acts like a brat to provoke someone into tickling her
has a bit of a bubbly, giggly laugh
that you will only hear if she's being tickled
the others absolutely adore it
her most ticklish spots are probably her neck and stomach
she has scars along her neck from the whole y'know beheaded situation. So if you trace them she will lose her shit
often swears and makes threats through her laughter (which are very empty)
squirmer
her cheeks are a massive melt spot
Jane Seymour
a very gentle ler
like so gentle it drives the others up the wall
she teases them with complements. Only complements
she'll say a pun and likely scribble at their stomach or something to get them to laugh at it
"Wow you thought it was funny? I didn't even think it was that funny. :)" ... >:(
is the best at cheer up tickles
either she'll know when you're upset and ask if you want tickles or you have to be very upfront with her
"Hey, Jane? Can you... do the thing..?" "What thing?"
I like to think that they all sometimes give platonic kisses to each other (or romantic if you ship any of them together) so ticklish kisses are very common with Jane
I honestly don't really see her as a lee so if you have any lee hc, I'd love to hear them :)
Anne of Cleves
the scariest ler ever
think of any type of ler, and that's her (that rhymed!)
gives killer raspberries
like absolutely deadly raspberries
playful, gentle, sadistic, you name it
knows exactly what teases to do to get the queens all red in the face
they are legitimately terrified by how she knows exactly how to get them flustered. She claims she's just observant
she'll never admit this, but she likes to see them smile. She sometimes feels guilty that she "had the best" out of the queens, so she feels like she has to make up for that
so I feel like she'd have people pleasing tendencies
like, she's not a people pleaser, just has some tendencies
and only towards the other queens
and don't think the others just let these insecurities fly by
and it turns out, Anna gets flustered super easily when teases are directed at her
and is also super ticklish
has very airy and squeaky giggles littered with snorts
her death spots are her waist and thighs plus a secret third option (her ears)
hates being the shortest out of the queens simply because they can hold her and wreck her super easily (either she or the other Anne are the shortest)
Katherine Howard
OKAY 👏
hated physical touch for the longest time because of *gestures to All You Wanna Do*
but here's the thing, she hated physical touch, but she wanted physical touch
so there's a bit of a problem there
she also saw the queens constantly wrecking each other almost on a daily basis, which she wanted to participate in
they never targeted Katherine because they know that she hates physical touch and they respect that
so Katherine approached Jane and asked if she could tickle her (through many stutters and a bright red face)
Jane ofc happily agreed and just lightly started tickling her
she knows Jane has no ill intent, she actually enjoys being tickled a lot
she became a prime target after that
oddly enough, the queens found her apologizing and often blaming herself for things after that time with Jane
so when they hear her apologize for something that she shouldn't apologize for, she's gone
also if she tries to blame herself for something that wasn't her fault
very much prefers gentle tickles to rough tickles
very giggly laugh, much like Anne (her cousin I should clarify)
a walking tickle spot (but she is uncomfortable with having her feet touch)
and her back is a big melt spot
isn't much of a ler aside from the occasional poke
Catherine Parr
oh this girl
THIS GIRL
honestly isn't much of a ler either
but she will get fed up with one of them. Stare them dead in the eyes, and just wreck their shit
due to being a night owl, she'll get tickled if she's writing late into the night and they're trying to convince her to sleep
but also gets wake up tickles
or tickles if she can't fall asleep
absolutely weak to raspberries (which makes her one of Anna's favorite targets)
can't even say tickle
her laugh gets silent very quickly
her death spots are her sides, underarms, neck, and ribs
EXTRA HC: they give each other comfort tickles if one has a nightmare
And that's all! If any of you have any headcanons I wouldn't mind if you sent them to me via inbox
Was just randomly thinking about it, how would you rank all the Disney Princess movies? Like from favorite to least favorite, numbered list, or like letter (A, B, C) tiers?
I hope it’s okay to talk about some of the placement reasons, we feel pretty passionate about this. Especially ones that are absolute favorites or might surprise others.
There is too much that has already been said about Beauty and the Beast. All I am going to say is that it’s one of my favorite movies, that I could watch over and over again. It’s also my favorite romance story in the franchise 👉👈
Little Mermaid also has been praised a lot too, so we will keep it brief. Ariel is my favorite Disney princess, because I love how flawed she is, and as a queer person I can relate to her relationship with her father with my own parents. This movie and Beauty and the Beast feel so queer to me, and we are glad that Howard Ashman’s influence and involvement were strong in them both.
Yes I put Cinderella 3 at Godtier I love this movie sm, and we know it didn’t need to exist, but we are glad someone made their Cinderella fanfic a reality. It breathes more characters into the prince (he’s the best Disney prince I will die on that hill), her step sister Anastasia, and even the king. Her step mom is even more of a threat in this movie too. Also this movie looks really good for just being direct to DVD. This movie also pokes fun of its classic fairytale ways, but in a more charming way like Enchanted does.
Sleeping Beauty is very high because this movie is fucking gorgeous, *eats all the bg art up* I also love how petty and bitchy Maleficent is. Also love that the movies real heroines are the three fairies, and you don’t get much movies were three older women get to be the protagonists.
In our opinion we like Frozen 2 better than one. We just like the settings and atmosphere more. We like some songs more too, like Into the Unknown and Show Yourself. I’m a simple queer person with the mental illness, so we really relate to Elsa, so we like that she has more focus in this film. Still this movie is kinda of double edged sword because some side characters like Kristoff and Olaf are actually so annoying in this movie, I never thought much of these characters before, but now I despise them. Also they took out some things that would have made this movie so much better, like a romantic song between Kristoff and Anna that honestly makes their relationship more endearing. Also the fucking castle would have been destroyed in the end, making this tale of colonialism much more symbolic. They weren’t brave enough to do that tho, or who knows higher ups probably didn’t like the idea.
Speaking of what might have been, I wish men didn’t meddle and take over a woman’s vision when it comes to Brave. It’s another movie were we feel in our opinion it could have been better than what we got.
I’m not gonna say much about Pocahontas, because it’s not really our place. We will just say as a child it never was a favorite of ours. I don’t like how the human characters look, a lot of the characters are weak too, the villian is so lame. The only positives I can say some of the music can be amazing, some of the visuals are gorgeous, and I like the animal companions. However both films especially the 2nd make me like 😬
Oh I almost forget Aladdin is not here, because I feel like I need to rewatch it again to see where we would place it. To be fair it doesn’t feel like a Disney Princess movie anyways, since Aladdin gets more focus than Jasmine. There are also some Disney sequels we have not seen that are not here.
