“The world is calling for us. And it has been for a really long time. We can feel deep inside of our very core, that something is wrong. Working with my friend Fredrik on ‘A Soul With No King’ has mended something in me. I understand where my anger comes from. And what to do with it. And having Brian Eno do a remix of our baby has been a dream. He and I are so connected, it felt very right to do something together. For the Earth. From the Earth.”

Eno and Aurora share a belief that music can make a difference to the planet without "preaching" about climate change.
"If you're listening to a beautiful piece of music, you're hearing the possibility of a good world that we could be in," says Eno. "That's how art changes people. It gives us aspirations that we wouldn't have otherwise."
Aurora adds: "It's much easier to engage people when they feel a part of something. I think only art can make people understand how deep and spiritual this connection with nature should be."
"What gives me hope is that, for kids younger than myself, the conversation around the environment is so obvious," says Aurora. "They're angry and determined and strongly opinionated [about] how the way forward has to be different. It helps me realise not everything I care for has to happen immediately. It's enough to just be a part of a slow process."
"I completely agree," says Eno. "I feel that we're in the middle of an enormous revolution. It shows in the very small things that people do. Their distaste for waste, for example. The feeling that irresponsible consumerism is actually not very pleasant. It just doesn't feel good to be so fickle in our tastes - to have to have new shoes every couple of weeks because somebody else has got them. I think people are starting to develop away from that."

The world is calling for us, and has been for a really long time.🌏 I have been working with @earthpercentorg, @SoundsRight2024
and @brianeno in the name of Mother Earth and all life she protects.
It feels wonderful to finally present this piece of work.
It helps me in my way of looking at the world and being understanding about what people can go through. Mainly I would say that being different brings me closer to everyone who feels different in the world.
AURORA on how her bisexual identity nourishes her music in an interview for Têtu by Florian Ques | 04.02.2022

I’m lucky to have a brain that never wonders “Why?” when I feel something. *laughs* For example, when people were making fun of me at school, I didn’t realize it. So I think that helped me a lot. The first time I fell in love was with a girl. I didn’t question it.
I come from a small town, and I remember we were only eleven in my class. And no one was like me. I remember jokes about being gay, but they were mostly for boys. As for my parents, I’ve never really had to come out of the closet. On the other hand, the media outed me in Norway when I was 19. An important newspaper put in a headline that I loved everything, women and bearded men. It was pretty traumatic, because they stole my coming out, in a way.
