Has anyone ever thought of the possibility of people in hisui getting a magazine from AFTER ingo and akari go home with either or both of them on it. Like they've already left and lo and behold in the tail end of the entire mess a magazine appears with one of them on the cover looking fresh stunning and most importantly happy. If it were Ingo i feel like he'd be all dressed up goth on the cover of like Vogue or something lmao (i don't think he wouldn't get famous if he wasn't already after coming home. Theyd want the publicity+cool extint Pokémon on the cover). If it were akari shed probably be like posing all badass like the badass teenager she is, scars in full view (she's a survivor!!!!!!). Inside is a little tidibit of their life after coming home. It would be both funny as hell to see them react to how they are in their element and like connect the dots for their strange behaviors AND bring closure to the people they left in hisui. They may never know this but the people in the past do
If anyone uses this idea tag me i may or may not read it but i want to know if you liked it enough to do something with it. I'll probably just keep daydreaming to myself about it lol
Edit: btw there's a whole section talking about everyone's battle prowess and the battle subway for the funnies. Just so you know

kuroaku and akari on pasio, after some years of being raised by ingo and emmet. Sure, nobori could question how and why they came to be when he and his own emmet seemed p dedicated to running the subway and not to having kids, but ALSO he could thank his lucky stars that FINALLY there are good distractions to stop so many ingos from chasing after him in the name of "family bonding". Arceus must have brought them here to give him a break!
listen, it's not that much of a mystery to Nobori. he just figures his past self must have decided to fuck. good for him!
And yeah, two "ACTUAL" kids definitely prove a distraction to the assortment of Ingos trying to chase Nobori, especially since these ones actually stay put. Although I think the funniest possible scenario is that with how much Akari looks like Dawn, bc ofc she does they just assume that Ingo hooked up with Johanna. Which leads to Dawn wondering if she should call Ingo dad now.
Ingo is just... ah. this a complication he did not expect. He could be honest and tell them that Kuro and Akari are clones, but... no, he won't be doing that. So he just keeps his mouth shut! It's not lying if he's not saying anything!
kuro: dad, that's lying by omission
ingo: sssssh, you don't get to lecture your father.

found family coworkers (definition multiple) of all time [image description under cut]
Comic 1:
First panel, Ingo and Akari are standing together. Someone off-screen asks “oh, is that your dad?”. Akari has an awkward smile and replies “oh, no no. he’s my...” There’s a long pause as she looks at Ingo. He’s leaving it up to her. She finishes, “He’s my coworker... friend... guy.” In smaller font, she continues “yea. that.” Comic 2: A dramatic panel of Volo, looking pissed off, shouting “who are you to interfere?!!” Ingo tugs the brim of his cap lower. The upper half of his face is in shadow, while his eyes stand out. He looks threatening but has his expression is his characteristic neutral-frown, and he says “...I’m her coworker friend guy.”. In the final panel, Machoke is throwing an incredible amount of punches, a reference to Star Platinum from Jojo. Ingo is pointing with one hand, his battle pose. The background text reads, “What does that even mean??” Volo is experiencing off-screen violence.
Comic 3: The comic is titled “Reunion”. In the first panel, Ingo shows off Akari, with a faint smile on his face. She is labelled “best girl (assigned by god)”. He says, “Emmet, this is Akari, my coworker. She’s the reason I was able to return to this station.” In smaller font, Akari comments to herself, “ooh... so this is the man in white.”
In the second panel, in smaller font Ingo notes “I think I remember now...” He says, “Akari, this is Emmet. He's also my coworker.” Coworker is underlined. Emmet is crying in the background, looking confused, conflicted, distressed, and happy. He says, “Brother...?” In the final panel, we see a framed photograph of all three together. Underneath are the words, Employee of the Month. Akari is dressed as a depot agent, and she and Ingo pose with peace signs. Emmet is red faced from crying, but he’s smiling widely. He looks happy.

I don't have a problem with people in the Pokemon fandom making self-inserts and shipping them canon characters. That's totally fine, you do you. I DO take issue with people who ship the protagonists of Pokemon games (all of whom are canonically 15 or younger, in case you needed a reminder) with adult characters in the series because that's fucking gross.
If you really like a specific character, make a goddamn OC. Please.

Could I maybe get a Hisuian!Reader who came to Paldea through a space time rift? They remember everything, they still have all their old Pokemon, they like to share stories of their adventures (anything from taking on Volo to "Oh yeah, I caught this alpha garchomp after a half-hour standoff, here's her gigaton ball lol."), they've got little scars here and there from accidentally standing too close to Pokemon attacks or taking fall damage, and they give descendants of their Hisuian Pokemon to their blueberry friends (BBE4, Carmine, and Kieran) during their trades. To make things even more interesting, I wonder what that reader would think about bloodmoon ursaluna, Perrin, and modern Sinnoh - seeing their dear friend Adaman in someone alive today and seeing just how much things have changed over the years
Tumblr media
The PLA fixation is real so YESSSIR I finally got around to this one. I separated the headcanons by region and their respective characters
.............
Paldea (Arven, Penny, Nemona)
After finishing your mission in Hisui, you decided to confront Arceus, being satisfied with everything you've done for the Survey Corps and the good people of Jubilife Village.
You fully finished the pokedex, fulfilling Professor Laventon's dreams, and were ready to return home.
After some reluctance, Arceus agreed and ensured you wouldn't lose any of your memories, as you didn't want all your feats in Hisui become lost to history.
It warned you that you'll never get to see Rei/Akari, Professor Laventon, the Wardens...or anyone else ever again.
But you've said your goodbyes and were ready to go back.
One warp through a space-time rift later, you were dropped off in Paldea-
Right where Arven, Penny, and Nemona were discussing whether to call off the search for you or not.
As it turns out, you've been missing for months, not long after the Area Zero adventure, and so it's a rather tearful reunion when they realize the person in the old fashioned clothing was you.
You looked tired, scarred, battle-hardened...and yet you smiled as you joked about being "back from the past".
Since then, easing back into modern life was..trickier than you expected.
You still had the habit of crafting pokeballs and potions as you were taught, rather than spend money buying them in bulk (even though you had boatloads because of your champion status).
You tried getting the trio to follow your directions, but they kept fumbling with the tumblestones and didn't know where to attach the iron chunks that made up the clasps.
When you start talking about feather, wing, leaden, and gigaton pokeballs they stare at you in confusion until you realize "oh shit those are outdated".
Nemona is VERY curious about the gigaton ball, however, and so you show it to her--revealing your Alpha Garchomp branded with the "Former Alpha" mark. She got to keep her height.
"Oh yeah, she was a real feisty one. We had a half-hour standoff on a slippery ice mountain slope but I showed her who's boss haha." You laugh as you share the story of how you encountered and tamed her.
Your fellow champion now thinks you're 10x cooler for actually facing a Pokémon head-on....while poor Arven and Penny are shook(TM) and wondered how you made it back alive.
Especially when they discover your scars are from falling and vicious Pokemon attacks
Introducing your Hisuian starter to your Paldean starter was...a little awkward. One recently became a champion's Pokémon and the other faced Giratina itself.
But they eventually shake hands and become besties, becoming members of your party whenever you wanna battle Arven, Penny, or Nemona again.
You keep accidentally calling out agile/strong style in your commands (ie "Avalugg, make an Agile Avalanche!"), but your Pokémon like to pretend they still know them.
Kitakami (Perrin & Bloodmoon Ursaluna)
Returning to Kitakami felt most familiar..and quite comforting considering how traditional everything is.
Festival of the Masks came back around, and while you didn't get to spend it with Kieran nor Carmine this time...you did wind up spending it with somebody else...
Perrin, who you were drawn to after seeing her Hisuian Growlithe getting into trouble with an Arbok and trying to stand up for itself.
Reminds you of a certain late lord's son..
She expresses her thanks for rescuing her buddy, and mentions how you got there "right on time".
You just look into her eyes and see Adaman: the Diamond Clan leader, the kind man who gave you the celestica flute and came to your aid when you got exiled from the village.
He may be gone now, but time didn't allow him to be forgotten.
Because he lives on in somebody else.
Perrin gets concerned when she sees how emotional you're getting, but you just wipe your eyes and say she just reminds you of an "old friend".
When you show her your other Hisuian Pokémon, she's THRILLED and wants to take all of their pictures, delighted to have proof that these creatures existed.
That leads her to ask how you acquired them, and you start talking about your adventures in the very region she's been studying...including the fact you met her ancestor who used to worship Dialga and had an easygoing attitude like her.
Girl is taking notes fr.
Together you seek out the "Bloodmoon Beast", only to discover that it was an Ursaluna who travelled alllll the way to Kitakami from Hisui, the environment causing it to change appearances and abilities.
You were fascinated, wondering what Lord Ursaluna or Calaba would think of him, and made him a member of your team after quelling his rage.
While going on more casual photoshoots with Perrin, you ask her about what Sinnoh is like now or if anyone there knew about Hisui.
She mentions how the elderly folk talk of it, and how the subway battle system was being run by one conductor due to the other going missing...
You find yourself holding your breath---until she says "oh but apparently he came back like yesterday" and you were SO relieved.
'Ingo made it back home, too. Thank you Arceus.'
She plans to invite you to Sinnoh someday, seeing as you're so curious about what it all looks like now.
BB Academy (BBE4, Carmine, & Kieran)
When you got to study abroad at BB Academy, you...sorta forgot all the beef you had with Kieran until you saw him berating a student out in the terarium.
A year later, you're Paldea's champion AND the one who saved Hisui, but you couldn't exactly tell him the latter.
But now you understood why everyone back then calling you a "hero" made you a little uncomfortable.
Ogerpon (who was worried sick about where you've gone all this time), was SO happy to see you were back and got to meet your Hisuian Lilligant. Two plant gals just vibing together.
You find a Kleavor in the canyon biome and become a bit sentimental, happy to see a descendant of the Lord of the Woods had survived to this very day.
He must've known you were the one who helped his ancestor (albeit not without receiving some scars from flying wood chips), as he bowed and began walking alongside you, loyal to a tee.
Least to say, he became a valuable ally when you finally battled Kieran in the championship.
He sees that you've definitely changed a lot, too. You look tougher and he was concerned about where that scar across your eye came from....
But he's still obsessed with winning, and his attitude when talking about Terapagos afterwards reminds you of...well...Volo.
It's such an extreme comparison, and you hate how your brain immediately jumped to that considering that was a legitimate monster of a man who betrayed you.
Yet it feels like such a similar situation when Kieran pits the turtle against you in the Underdepths, obsessed with power and wanting nothing more than to be recognized as "worthy".
At least he wasn't planning on ending the world, just yours.
After you both reconcile, you spill the beans about where you've gone for the past year, expecting him to laugh or shun you again for keeping such a big secret from him.
Instead..he has this star-eyed look and wanted to know MORE.
So during your next visit to Kitakami, you tell him and Carmine some stories of your Hisuian adventures, showing off Kleavor and your Alpha Garchomp.
Seeing that you still liked to make authentic pokeballs and potions made Kieran appreciate you a lot more. Kitakami used to have a lot of those apricorns, tumblestones, and leeks before everything became mass-produced.
Like him, you really became out-of-touch with today's technology, so while he's learning it, you're re-learning it along with him.
Eventually you tell those same stories to the BB E4, who are all just as shocked, amazed, and bewildered as the twins were.
And when they all came to offer up a trade, you knew what to do:
For Drayton, you gave him a Goomy, insisting that he trains it fully, not wanting to spoil the "surprise".
As lazy as he is, he does so and is stunned when Sliggoo is revealed to be chilling in its own shell, and Goodra had its whole shell on its tail, capable of withdrawing into it anytime
Ngl it makes him wish he had his own shell to withdraw into just to escape situations.
For someone like Kieran who likes old-fashioned stuff, you figured a Hisuian Voltorb would suit him best.
Its appearance reminds you of the olden ways pokeballs were made, and he got the hang of crafting a few himself after a little trial and error!
He gets nervous about it exploding like Kantonian Voltorbs at the slightest touch, but is happy to find out it's super friendly and discharges just to spook humans.
As for Carmine, the sharpness in her golden eyes reminds you of a certain ghost type's...and thus you believed giving her a Hisuian Zorua was ideal. You had a feeling she'd love its evolved form.
When she does evolve it, she's stunned that it has reddish highlights like she does, jokingly asking if this is her in "another life".
Least to say, she loves it indeed.
While you were adamant about giving Amarys your Kleavor, you ended up trading her a Scyther and give her a black augurite afterwards, explaining how it's the secret to its other evolution.
She mentioned deposits of that mineral existing within the canyon biome, but it couldn't actually evolve the surrounding Scyther population due to being simulated.
But thanks to you, she gets to witness that in-action because you held onto an authentic piece of it, and she gives you her thanks.
As for Crispin, well, you believed a Hisuian Growlithe was perfect for him. It was energetic, loyal, and full of fire..just like him.
He got teary-eyed at the story you told of the late Lord Arcanine, his son, how you quelled his frenzy, etc..and feels inspired to train the pup you've given him into something incredible.
One thing Kantonian and Hisuian Arcanines have in common? They love spicy foods.
For Lacey, you trade her a Hisuian-born Petili, encouraging her to use the sun stone right away.
She does and is delighted to see Lilligant as such a graceful dancer..who really packs a punch when it counts!
She'll definitely doll her up and ensure she knew Charm (the only fairy move Hisuian Lilligant could know, alas).

Today i woke up and realized i had not ONE not TWO but THREE ENTIRE COOL DREAMS and none of them turned into nightmares. Just cool vibes all around and two of the dreams were about pokemon legends. One of them was an entire au idea. I should have taken melatonin to fix my sleep schedule before this if this is what normal people feel when they go to sleep
[au idea is in the tags]
#dream#pokemon legends#the idea was just people discovering akari was banished im the past and fucking. sending a certificate from the future saying its illegal#to have her in the galaxy team#it was saying something like 'dear commander kamado and galaxy team. this is a certificate saying dawn/akari cannot join the galaxy team.#since she was banished you will not be allowed to make her work for you. we are sending this with aid of the gods dialga and palkia#who were kindly tracked down by a blonde man who was touched by her story. kind regards - the sinnoh government'#and it was so fucking funny#pokemon au#pokemon legends au#the other pokemon dream i don't remember that well but it was just me/an oc i was seeing the pov of chilling in my ingame room#with a talking hisuian zoroark witb the windows open and the red sky above#except that in the windows' side there was a whole backyard and it was pleasantly cool but also pleasantly warm at the same time#also good vibes there despite the literal end lf the world going on#people would not come inside my room to get me so i could just chill umtil it was over and not be banished loll#there was a bit where i was outside with more pokemon but i dont remember it almost at all#the unrelated dream was just me going in a swimming pool with one of my favourite childhood youtubers for the first time at night#and finding it full of crabs when i turned the light on (i dont remember if it was a flashlight or the pool light. i think a flashlight)#other childhood youtubers came later and we were all friends and it was really cool#except my mom wanted to eat the crabs and a little squid that was also there when the morning was coming before they ran away to the sea#through the tubes#but that was the only instance of me feeling distressed throughout the whole night#this is the most dreams ive remembered at once in the same night ever this is so cool

Round 2, Match 37: Giovanni Potage vs. Ingo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Submitted kids:
Giovanni Potage: Molly Blyndeff, (potentially) Sylvie Ashling, Crusher, Dark Star, Ben, Car Crash/Fred Donaldson, Spike, Flamethrower
Ingo: Akari and Rei
Propaganda under the cut!
Giovanni Potage:
1. “while it is debatable that he adopted sylvie, it's a 100% that he adopted molly. because. well. he kidnapped her because her dad sucks.”
2. “IT'S CANON! Or at least half Canon. Giovanni kidnaps Molly to get her away from her terrible family. Since Molly and Sylvie are a package deal, he's often added to the found family. Sometimes a family is a 15 year old college graduate, a depressed and anxious 12 year old, and a 19 year old with the power of soup.”
3. "this is an actual line from the book (Prison Of Plastic) that basically confirms it: *“Eww. Parents,” he spat, forgetting that he himself essentially had six kids of his own with another on the way. Possibly two.*
we love ourselves a soup himbo with like eight kids. okay most of them are his friends but you see that quote. he sees them as his own kids"
Ingo:
“Old man and the feral children he stole from the past”

“Can you believe it’s already over? I remember meeting you and obsessing over how good looking you are like it was yesterday” you inquired, a small smile on your face as you were brought back to your awkward self on your first day at the house.
“It’s kind of crazy how time goes by so fast. Wish we had more time together here” Hanbin said, looking over at you with the tiniest frown.
He knew you’d still see each other, obviously, but something about living with you under the same roof made him feel all warm and giddy inside.
“Eunseok was the one you were talking about back then?” Hanbin asked you, swaying his feet back and forth to make the swing go just a little bit higher.
“What do you mean?” You questioned, squeezing out your ice cream from the plastic bottle.
“You know, when we were talking about our first loves” he answered, and you laughed lightly, the memory coming back to you in an instant.
It was cute, Hanbin’s jealousy. He wanted to be nonchalant, but instead looked like a nosy neighbor, trying to milk information about his potential competition out of you.
“You’re adorable, Hanbin,” you chuckled. “Eunseok is like one of my bestfriend’s, except Jeonghyeon of course. He really helped me for the short period of time that we trained together. I have so much love for him, platonic of course. You don’t have to worry, my sweet little jealous boy” you finished, pinching his soft cheeks.
He huffed in annoyance, which just made you want to kiss and suffocate him with your love even more.
“Well he’s nice, so I guess that’s fine” he murmured, looking down at his shoes.
“God I like you so fucking much, Sung Hanbin” you blurted out, and even when the realization hit you, you didn't regret it.
“Do you want to be my girlfriend?” he asked, his eyes like bright stars in the night sky. You kind of expected it but even so, the admission was enough to set your heart on fire.
You nodded with a small smile. He hurried to close the gap between your bodies, hugging you tightly. You looked up at him, placing a quick kiss on his cheek, leaving a pinkish mark.

ʜᴇᴀᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴀʟʟ (ɢᴏᴊᴏ x ꜰ!ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ)
this is part 3 of a series. you can find part one here and part two here
pairing: gojo x f!reader (not au, gojo is 29, reader is early-mid 20’s), slight nanami x reader (...)
word count: 3.4k
summary: the first two weeks of teaching again go by quickly. you find yourself right smack in the middle of the annual winter festival. gojo took his own date, and so did you.
warnings: (FOR THIS PART) angst, some self-deprecating stuff, themes of depression, mean gojo, mention of blood, mention of getting eaten (pls don’t ask), cheating???? nickname use [baby, doll (once)], no use of y/n,
a note: this is a repost with an angstier ending, as a lot of angst was voted for (see poll), so here we are, though there is a happy ending. dunno if I'll ever do a part 4.
please reblog and like, it means a lot! let me know what you think!
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚*:・゚✧
You and Gojo have a routine.
First, you get ready together, fucking in the shower, trying to push him off as you apply mascara as he greedily rubs up against you. You eat breakfast together, both enjoying your matcha (yours, of course, being a latte. Gojo always goes the more traditional route). He drags on the kiss as you exit your apartment, whining when he finally has to let you go.
Second, he stands a few feet away from you on the train as you make your way outside of Tokyo. He never looks at you, his focus on anyone or anything that catches his eye. You watch him, admiring him, wanting him to just look over so he could admire you too. You want Gojo to see you in the way you see him. You want him to finally care, to beg and plead for you, to feel the way you do. You want him to love you.
Third, you walk towards campus, a few feet behind him just in case anyone is watching. You watch as he effortlessly joins Shoko and Akari’s conversation as they walk up the stairs through the tori gate, not glancing back at you even once. You follow behind them, the sounds of their laughter filling your ears. Surrounding you. Swallowing you whole, only to spit you out broken and battered. The snow crunches under your feet, silencing your thoughts — but only for a second. Your thoughts are like wolves, stalking you and waiting to pounce, waiting for you to be vulnerable.
Your routine takes hold of you, and the days blend together as you relive the same painful day over and over. Maybe this is all a punishment for your hubris, karma from the gods for loving him. You watch him live so effortlessly without you, as you sit around hoping he’ll meet your gaze for just a second. The thoughts come, as they always do, and soon you’re surrounded by wolves, bloodied and battered and waiting to be eaten. And then, the wolves disappear into smoke, and you have Gojo for just a brief second before he pushes you back into the wolf’s den. Maybe this time you’ll let the wolves eat you. Your last words would be Gojo’s name before your mouth fills with blood as you get your throat ripped out. You wonder if you would even be on his mind after.
You’re snapped out of your thoughts when you feel a tap on your shoulder. You look up from your desk to see Nobara standing there, smiling, her books in her arms. You zoned out through the entire lesson, students trying to pile out the door behind her. You look at her again and smile. “Yes?”
She smiles, clutching her books a little tighter. “Are you going to the festival tonight?”
Your eyebrows furrow slightly at the mention of the festival. “Yes, I am. Why?”
Nobara shifts on her feet. “Are you going with Gojo-sensei?”
Gods, even his name causes goosebumps to appear on your body. “No, Kugisaki-san. I’m not taking anyone with me.”
Nobara pouts a little. “Oh come on! You guys would be perfect together!” Your eye twitches and your stomach lurches. “It’s his loss, I guess.” She moves away as quickly as she appears, following Megumi out the classroom door.
You hear a snarl, and just like that the wolves are back. They follow you around as you make your way through your day, biting at your ankles. They follow you as you make your way off campus, heading to the train station. You slide your way into the crowd making its way into the station, pushing your way past students and businessmen. You’re trying to make your train, yes, but you’re also escaping the wolves that are chasing you, foaming at the mouth at the idea of tasting you. You fear that if they catch you you might never make it out alive, your body left cold on the floor of the train station, people stepping over you and moving on with their lives, because, in the end, you didn’t matter.
“Excuse me,” You say softly, pushing past a tall man. Your fingers brush over the light tan colouring of his suit as you put your hand on his arm to steady yourself in the crowd. The man mumbles something before he looks over and tilts his head. He says your name so softly you almost don’t hear him. You finally get a look at his face as he towers over you, and your heart beats a little faster. “Nanami?”
You’ve met Kento Nanami before and spoken in brief conversations, even when he’s been an adjunct professor at the school and taught a lesson. You always noticed that he didn’t speak a lot, at least not to you. You appreciated the silence sometimes, a stark difference from Gojo’s constant running mouth, but the times he would simply just ignore you while you helped him plan lessons and prepare demonstrations left a bad feeling in your stomach. In those moments you didn’t just wonder if you were good enough for Gojo, you wondered if you were good enough for anyone.
He looks deep into your eyes, and the wolves turn to dust. He smiles softly at you, but in your eyes, it looks almost forced. “Hey there. Long time no see. How are you?”
You think this might be the most words he’s ever spoken to you. “I’m doing great. How are you?”
Nanami nods. “Fine, you know how the 7 to 3 life is. Are you still assisting Gojo at the school?”
It’s your turn to nod this time. “Yes. For another year and a half.”
He smiles, and it seems more genuine than the last. “A year and a half of dealing with Gojo… I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone.” You laugh, and it’s the first genuine laugh you’ve had in almost a month.
Instead of catching your usual train home, you opt to sit and chat with Nanami. This is the most extroverted you’ve ever seen him, and this is definitely the most eye contact you’ve ever shared. He leans back on the bench, legs stretched out straight, playing with the end of his tie while he talks to you.
You had noticed it before, but now you’re certain. Kento Nanami is hot. His voice, his face, his hands, his arms…you’re finding yourself squirming on the bench and trying to calm your nerves as he stares at you, almost forcing you to keep eye contact.
You stiffen when you hear the next announcement, the realisation hitting that it’s your next train arriving soon. You stand up, gathering your things. “My train is almost here. I’m sorry that we have to cut this conversation short.”
He waves it off. “Don’t worry about it. We’ll just have more to talk about next time.”
Next time. You feel slight butterflies in your stomach when thinking about your next conversation with him. All you manage to say is, “For sure. I would like that.” You head to your platform, clutching your bag close when Nanami calls your name again, much more confident than before. You turn to face him, the wind from the train approaching whipping through your hair.
He glances down the platform, seemingly nervous. “Are you going to the festival tonight?”
You have to speak a little louder as the train starts to near the station. “Yes, I am.”
Nanami smiles, a look of nervousness still staining his face. “Great. I’m going too. What if we went together?”
The train approaches and you yell over the noise, “I would like that!”
He hears you and smiles, yelling his goodbyes over the train as you enter its doors. You find a seat next to the window, and you wave to each other as the train starts to move. The train pulls out of the station, taking you home, and a smile creeps onto your face as you sink into the seat. Part of you feels guilty, begging you to consider your relationship with Gojo, but the other part of you thinks; what relationship? Plus, you’re going to the festival with Nanami as friends, acquaintances, nothing more. At least, that’s how you view it.
You head home, once again finding yourself vulnerable in the wolf's den. You wonder how it would feel if you let them attack you, how it would feel to be pinned down and scratched and chewed on like a piece of dried octopus. Would Gojo notice you, finally, as you lay dead, your blood leaking out of your shredded throat? Would he turn away, avert his gaze at the sight of his dead lover? Or would he simply stare before stepping over you?
The wolves stalk you as you make your way back to the station, the snow falling softly, sticking to your hair. You feel nervous; nervous about seeing Nanami again, and nervous about seeing Gojo with Himiko. You had almost forgotten her name, but deep down you wish you did. Maybe thinking about her as a faceless, nameless entity would make your throat stop closing up.
You climb your way up the steps of the school, and you start to smile when you see Nanami waiting for you. The sun is setting, casting a beautiful pink glow to him, and in this moment you think he’s the most handsome man you’ve ever seen. The glasses he’s normally wearing are long gone, and he switched out his suit for a black sweater, dark blue slacks, a long brown trenchcoat, and a scarf in the same Rorschach-esque design as his usual tie and sword.
Your stomach flutters as you approach him. “Hey.”
He stares at you for a second before saying, “Hey.” You stare at each other, admiring one another, and butterflies in your stomach won’t stop flying around, bumping into the walls of your intestines. You don’t know what you’re feeling, and you don’t know if you like it.
You clear your throat, stepping towards the gate. “Let’s head in.” Nanami nods and follows you inside the campus. You walk together through the festival, the air around you almost feeling electric, the campus replacing its usual student occupants with a bustling crowd and food carts. Takoyaki, yakitori, yakisoba, everything just smells so delicious. Maybe the wolves won’t be hungry for you tonight.
You and Nanami wander, your hands occasionally brushing as you chat about work and life, lost in the heat of your conversation. You find a stall finally offering drinks, and you both purchase some green tea before sitting down, your back to the festival. You’re in the middle of one of Nanami’s corporate world stories when his eyes drift behind you and he smiles. “There he is!”
Confused, you look over your shoulder, only to be met with the looming figure of Gojo. He stares down at you and Nanami, his blindfold covering his eyes. Right next to him is, you assume, Himiko, a tall woman, dressed to the nines in what might be real fox fur. She’s beautiful. More beautiful than you. You hear another snarl as the wolves come creeping out of the dark classrooms, towards you. Was this your competition? Your replacement? Did she have his heart already, or did he hide it from her like he did you?
Gojo clears his throat, glancing away before turning his gaze back to you and Nanami. “Here I am.”
Even now, you admire him. He’s so effortlessly beautiful, everything he does causes you to lose your breath. The way the wind pushes his hair back, the way his hoodie sits around his hips…you’re in love with him. As much as you hate it, as much as it destroys you, you love him. You can practically feel the wolf pinning you to the cave floor and ripping your beating heart out of your chest, chewing it, and swallowing it in one bite.
Nanami notices your gaze, too. He notices the way you look at Gojo, the absolute adoration in your eyes. The way your breath hitches, the way your thighs subconsciously squeeze together. The way your cheeks change colour and the way your whole body relaxes. Nanami notices Gojo’s body language, too, almost as if he could see his eyes under the blindfold. He puts it together too quickly, and clears his throat, standing up from the table, trying to hide his disappointment that you were in love with someone else. “I’m gonna get another tea.” He moves through the crowd towards the stall and you go to follow him, brushing past Gojo when he suddenly reaches out and grabs your arm, squeezing it tight.
“We need to talk,” he says.
“No, we don’t,” you respond. He squeezes your arm even tighter, before tugging you along behind him as he walks away from Nanami and Himiko.
Gojo drags you into his classroom, closing and locking the door behind him. He stares at you, his arms crossed, before finally speaking, “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
You’re confused, and your eyebrows furrow slightly. “Trying to enjoy my time at the festival.”
Gojo’s voice is laced with poisonous anger, and you’re almost afraid to breathe it in. “With Nanami?”
You swallow. “He asked me to come with him.”
Gojo's shoulders relax for a second before tensing up again. “You’re on a date? With Nanami?”
Your face turns red. “This isn’t a date.”
“Yes, it is,” Gojo says firmly. “He asked you on a date. And you agreed.”
You find yourself starting to get angry. “So what if it is a date?”
His jaw clenches. “Excuse me?”
You take a step back. “So what if it is a date, Gojo? You’re on one too, in case you forgot.”
Gojo laughs. “You mean Himiko? This isn’t a date. I’m just doing a favour for Shoko, I’m trying to help her friend get settled into the city. You shouldn’t be mad at me for --”
You interrupt him. “Cut the shit. You’re on a date with a girl who isn’t me.”
“It isn’t a date,” Gojo says.
You feel yourself getting angrier and angrier. “That’s what it looks like.”
“It doesn’t matter what it looks like,” Gojo says. “It isn’t the truth. If you would just let me explain-”
“Explain what?” You snap, the anger threatening to break the surface. “How do you agree to go on a date with another woman?”
There’s a pause before he says, “Don’t interrupt me again, doll. Remember who’s in charge here.”
Your fists clench. “God, can I fucking talk? Sat—Gojo, you have to understand how it makes me feel.”
You fucked up. You know you shouldn’t call him that, that forbidden name, but it just slipped out. Your words die in your throat, and your anger starts to dissolve into anxiety. You don’t know much about Geto, but you do know that Gojo’s first name is reserved for him, and you broke Gojo’s only rule.
He doesn’t say anything, but you can physically feel the shift in the air. A cold shiver runs down your spine. The mask across his eyes doesn’t help, his emotions unreadable.
“Gojo, I’m sorry,” You say. You approach him gently. “I’m sorry.”
You feel yourself getting more and more anxious as he just stands there. He doesn’t move, he doesn’t speak. He just stands there, looking down at you from his imposing height. You can only sit helplessly as he tosses you back into the wolf's den, and you can’t run away as they start tearing at you. You wonder if he’ll keep your head, mouth open and cold and blue, on display on a mantle on his wall, a message to all that watch to never love him.
It feels like an eternity before he speaks. “I trusted you."
Your bottom lip trembles. "You still can. It was an accident--"
"It doesn't matter if it was an accident or not," Gojo says, looking down at the ground. "You know not to call me that. Don't act like you can replace him."
A few tears fall down your face. "No...I know I can't, Gojo, I know I can't replace him. But I swear it was an accident."
"It doesn't matter," Gojo says after a beat. "What matters is you’re mine, and you're on a date with Nanami."
"It's not a date, Gojo," You say. "He and I are just friends."
"You would only be here with him if you had feelings for him," Gojo says.
You start to cry now. "I have feelings for you, Gojo. Not Nanami."
That makes him pause. "I know you do."
"Then why are you here with Himiko?" You ask, starting to feel angry again. "Why aren't you here with me?"
“Himiko means nothing to me.” Gojo says. "You know we couldn't go to the festival together. It would be suspi--"
"Suspicious, yes, I got it." You snap. "You didn't have to go with her. You could've turned down Shoko's offer."
"And what would I look like then?" Gojo asks. "I would look like a bad friend and a bad coworker. I have a reputation to uphold."
"Why does your reputation matter more than me?" You ask, your voice becoming louder.
"Because it's all I have!" Gojo says, his voice matching yours. "I'm Satoru Gojo, I'm the strongest! I can't have any baggage, I can't have anyone be important to me. That's how I become weak, and that's how I lose everything. Including you."
"Why do you treat me like this?” you ask, angry tears running down your cheeks. “Why do you always put me second? Why do you always make me feel so unwanted? Am I not good enough for you? Am I not what you want? Am I not what you need?”
He pauses and remains silent for a long time. He takes a deep breath, his voice stern once again. “Don’t talk about yourself like that. You are good enough for me, you’re too good for me. You’re the most beautiful, caring person that I’ve ever met. I treat you like garbage, and yet you always come back to me. I’m mean to you, and you accept it with a smile on your face. But you have to understand that this is more important to me. It's more important than you…if I appear weak, I fail. If I fail, I lose everything and everyone." He gets close to you, grabbing your face. "I already lost someone important to me. I can't lose you too."
"Do you care about me?" You ask softly.
He nods. "Of course I do."
You swallow hard, nervous to ask your next question. "Do you love me?"
He hesitates.
In that moment, even without him speaking, you know your answer. You go to say something else but he interrupts. "I can. Eventually. One day. I just can't love you right now."
"When is eventually?" You ask.
He shakes his head. "I don't know. I care about you, you know that. You know that I love our time together, and I look forward to every single second I get to spend with you. I just can't love you right now, not in the way that you want me to. The way that you need me to."
"Will you ever love me?" You ask.
He doesn't hesitate when he answers, "Yes."
You close your eyes, sighing. "When?"
He strokes your cheekbones. "Soon."
"How close is soon?"
"Close enough."
You pause. You feel the presence of the wolves again, biting on your ankles, threatening to drag you down into the depths of the den and tear you limb from limb. Would they chew on your bones after? Would it be quick, painless? Or would you survive for just long enough to watch them eat you?
Gojo calms the wolves, but only for so long. He’s a protective light as you hide in the walls of the den, stepping over the corpses of those before you. He’s the one, he’s all you’ve ever wanted, and you think you’ll regret this.
You nod, accepting his answer.
He pulls you close and hugs you. He kisses the top of your head and takes a deep breath before saying, “Have I ever told you about Geto?” You shake your head, you know next to nothing about the man. Gojo never told you, and you never asked. He strokes your hair and sighs. “Do you want to hear about him?”
You nod, and Gojo tells you.
He tells you all about Geto — Suguru, as he calls him. You’ve never heard him speak so softly. He recounts his memories, smiling and even laughing at some parts. You listen to every word, and you don’t speak. You can tell, just from his words, that Gojo loved him, but you can also tell that he will always love Geto more than he loves you.

Megumi turns around to see you heading in his direction. You give a wave causing him to smile and wave back. “Hey, it’s so nice to finally properly meet you!” you greeted. “Same here.”
You two continued walking until finally entering the building. “So, Gojo’s your teacher right?” he questioned. “Yeah, people think he’s annoying cause of his attitude, but personally I think it’s way better than if we had some old man yelling at us or someone who just sat there.” Megumi hummed in response. “Yeah, i get it, but after you’ve known him for so long he gets on your nerves a lot.” You smiled at him, “You know him personally?” He shrugged, “Family friend.”
You two continued your way into the small lobby entrance built into the building. Building 7 was the studio building, so there were other art majors around. Utahime’s studio was right below Gojo’s. Apparently they originally had them next to each other but Utahime begged to get swapped down a whole floor due to Gojo’s antics. Now they remodeled the room next to it to be a film studio where some of Suguru Geto’s classes take place. You know that due to running into Yuta and Sukuna on occasions.
“Can I carry that for you?” Megumi asked. Currently the elevator for the building was under repair, so you guys had made your way to the stairs. In your hand was a small tub, not really a bother to carry, it had small supplies like needles, bobbins, measuring tape, and probably other detail things you had thrown in there the night before. “Oh it’s fine, it’s not that much.” “You’ve got your bag already, i’d feel bad if I didn’t help out a little.” Granted the bag was mostly for personal things, sketchbook and a few fabric samples you had been thinking of showing to your teacher for an opinion, but deciding to give into his request you gave Megumi the okay. “Thanks I really appreciate it.” “No problem at all.”
Once you guys had walked into the room, you went to set your stuff down at a table, still a few minutes early, people were be beginning to file in. Gojo wasn’t too strict on time anyway, so some took and extra 5 to arrive. Nobara was already there, at the closest table to you, chatting with a girl you recognized as Akari, one of her models. You started to organize your things, seeing that your other friend was currently engrossed in her conversation. “Alright i’m just gonna take some measurements today, you’ll be free to go in less than an hour, shouldn’t take to long-” “Megumi!” You both turned around to see Gojo make his way towards him, throwing an arm around his shoulders. “It’s been so long kid! What’s up with that?” You suppressed a laugh at how his expression dropped, and he shrugged off Gojo’s arm. “I’m here for a fitting, please let y/n work.” In reply Gojo just laughed “Okayyy, i’ll leave you to it then!”

“Thanks so much again Megumi, I’m glad I got see you, i’ll let you know when I need you to stop by again.” “Yeah, sure.” He thought about it for a second, and has been thinking about it since you first agreed to meet up. He had wanted to ask if maybe after your class was done you’d like to go out for lunch or something with him. Debating in his head he was about to work up the courage until your name was called. “Y/N??” Turning away from Megumi you saw Yuki standing there near the entrance of the room, though not calling too much attention to herself as everyone was moving around. “Oh, hey Yuki!” With that the blonde girl turned in your direction, holding up a plastic bag with the logo of a local gas station plastered on it. “Heyyyy! So nice to meet you! I don’t know if you’re allowed snacks in here, but I made a quick stop and got you something too. You could save it for later,” She placed her bag on the table, careful not to put it over any of your things. “I got a bunch so I’m sure there’s something you’d like in there.” With that Megumi decided it was probably his cue to head out, seeing as this was probably one of your other models that had arrived for their measuring. “I’m gonna go now, bye y/n, it was nice seeing you.” “Oh, bye Megumi, i’ll see you around!” “See you around.”

Honestly Geto and Gojo having the same death anniversary which happens to be the most romantic day in Japan, with a character in-story stating how romantic it is should be enough evidence to convince anybody that SatoSugu are supposed to be a romance.
On top of that, we hear that JJK0 is about Yuuta and Rika's love but it's also about Geto and Gojo's relationship.
Then Gege Akutami specifically assigning break-up songs to Geto and Gojo.
AND THEN; they each get canon songs made in each other's POV speaking about their feelings specifically for one another. Where Gojo's song contains lyrics like "Even though I’ve come to know the scent of you being different from mine" and "Any prayer, any word Could bring us closer, but they couldn’t reach you Just like a silent love, In the summery colors along my cheeks". And Geto's song has lyrics like "Even trivial conversations are fine. Show me your blushing face once more" and "It exists only here. I want to touch you" and "Though I understand a wounded heart. Why do I end up hurting and leaving the same scars?"
The animation team going out of their way to give these two more soft moments hanging, creating visual parallels through the Betta Fishes, the flowers, the entire OP for Hideen Inventory but especially the part where we are seeing Gojo's vision being filled with Geto looking amazing while he rides Geto's rainbow dragon.
I saw someone say we're just projecting western views of romance onto satosugu but like, LOOK AT ALL THIS. I cannot stress enough the insanity of their death dates. It's like two people dying one after the other on Valentine's Day. This is some Romeo & Juliet bullshit. JJK in general has next to no romance, no one's pining after each other, the few times there are implications, it's very short. The most obvious one is Mechamaru and Miwa. Now imagine if Mechamaru and Miwa were the ones who got Ao No Sumika and Akari. Imagine they got 5 episodes dedicated to their story and Mechamaru dies on December 24th and Miwa's the one forced to put him out of his misery for betraying them to Mahito and Kenjaku.
Okay do you fucking see how ridiculous denying SatoSugu is? If Mechamaru and Miwa got all that even WITHOUT saying an 'I love you' no one would question their romance.
I know people keep making fun of shonen animes for having a stronger 'romance' between the two guy leads than with any other love interest but I've seen that stuff and even there it isn't nearly as deliberately romantic as SatoSugu. I can tell that Kuroko & Kagami, Gon & Killua or Levi & Erwin are supposed to be friends, the shipping thing is based on the established friendship stuff but SatoSugu are so blatant it's hard to think of another explanation.
I saw a point about how people are projecting western perspectives of romance on platonic friendship expression in a different culture, which I do get, I think it's a valid point. Idk much about how people express friendship in Japan but I have heard there's a lot more skinship and openness as compared to western cultures.
But w/ SatoSugu there isn't anything that can be read as purely platonic, there's always an ambiguity or it's directly romantic.

Calling all Submas fans!
Do you want Ingo and Emmet to reunite in Pokemon Masters?
The game developers have released a player feedback survey, which, among other things, asks what stories and trainers we'd like to see in Masters in the future. Notably, one suggested option is whether we would like "stories that continue the ones in the main Pokémon games". Another asks "what combination of trainers you would most like to see interact in Masters?"
It would be great for all Submas fans to fill it out and suggest that they give closure to Ingo and Emmet's story! There's precedent for such a thing - the long awaited reunion between N and the BW protagonist (Hilbert in Masters) happened in the Story Event "The Ideal Formula" (a YouTube recording of the story can be seen here https://youtu.be/zWyiuVVigMo?si=8UHz6xbcVvgI4URN).
Some reasons you could use to justify why they should let Ingo and Emmet reunite in Masters:
The arrival of Hisuian sync pairs such as Irida, Adaman, Akari and Rei make this interaction plausible and highly anticipated.
Ingo and Emmet are two of the most popular trainers from BW/B2W2, and only got more popular after PLA. They have a massive fanbase, both in Japan and internationally, that would be attracted to the game (and incentivised to pull) if such an event occurred.
Although another version of Ingo already exists on Pasio, similar things have happened before with alts such as Classic Elesa, Champion Iris and Kimono Grimsley (from his appearance in Alola).
One of Masters' greatest strengths is that it is uniquely positioned to deliver character writing and interactions that the main games were not able to address. Such as the aforementioned reunion between the BW protagonist and N. This would utilise that unique space to finally give closure on Ingo and Emmet's unexplained and heartwrenching separation.
But don't feel the need to use my words - use your own! Unique responses are great and also increase the chances that we'll be taken seriously.
So where's the survey link? Well, I would link it, but every user account in Pokémon Masters (when set to English - you can change this in the settings!) has its own unique link with an id generated on the end. The survey technically still works without it but I'd prefer to be on the safe side to make sure our answers count! The survey can be found in your message box (after setting your game language to English as necessary.)
The survey runs from 10/29/2023 11:00 p.m. PT – 11/12/2023 9:59 p.m. PT. So we've got until November 12 to spread the word!
Note that every person can only fill the survey out once.
We nearly got Ingo to be the #1 Tumblr Sexyman. We can do this!
credit to @cefren for the getting the ball rolling on this campaign!

𝓢𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓲𝓬𝓱𝓲𝓻𝓸
You stared at Shinichiro as he held your daughter close, sleeping. You knew he had her head covered under the blanket, trying to hide her from you. You gently shook Shinichiro awake, and he woke up looking at you confused.
“Hey where is Chiha?”
“What do you mean?”
“Where is Chiha?”
You whispered and he looked at you innocently, and you tried to pull the cover down, but he held onto the cover tightly. You won in the little tug of war, and removed the cover, only to see your daughter sleeping against her dad’s chest.
You looked at Shinichiro, and he had this innocent look on his face.
“Shinichiro we agreed she would start sleeping in her big girl bed.”
“No, she is fine next to me.”
“Shinichiro, come on, we got to put her in her big girl bed.”
“One more night, she is growing up too fast/”
“Shinichiro, she has to go to sleep.”
“I do too, so get out…” He covered her head again, after she started to turn. He closed his eyes and you gently tugged on the blanket again.
“Okay, one last look…” You said, and he pouted but watched as you smiled warmly at her daughter. Suddenly, your daughter farted and Shinichiro made a face and you tried not to laugh.
“She just ripped one, did you hear that? It was loud…”
You laughed quietly shaking your head before leaning down to peck his lips and kiss your daughter’s forehead. You covered them both back up and he flashed you a smile.
“Tonight is the only night, she sleeps in her big girl bed tomorrow,” you said.
He nodded his head, and leaned up kissing your lips again.
“Love you…”
“Love you too,” you smiled.
𝓓𝓻𝓪𝓴𝓮𝓷
You were looking around for your daughter so you could place her in her new bed, but you couldn’t find her. You blinked several times, before anxiety filled your chest. You called for your husband, but there was no sound. You walked into your shared bedroom, before seeing Mikey sleeping with a blanket covered.
You walked over to him, and tapped his shoulder.
“Babe, where is the baby?”
“What do you mean?” Sleep filled his voice, and you could tell he was super groggy.
“Where’s the baby?” You asked a bit suspicious.
“I don’t know.”
“Where’s the baby, Ken?” You asked tugging the blanket down, but he tried to keep it pulled up.
“Babe…” he groaned.  You rolled your eyes and he had a look of defeat on his face.
“We said she was gonna be sleeping in her big girl bed, that’s why we bought it,” you sighed.
“One more night please… she’s growing up too fast…”
“She needs to go to bed.”
“So do I, so get out. You are going to wake her up.”
Your daughter, Hana, started to move around, and he quickly covered the both of them up, shooting you a sleepy glare.
“Out…” he whispered to you.
You couldn’t help but laugh and shook your head slightly.
“Just one more, one more little look.” He moved the blanket and looked at you trying not to laugh.
“She just ripped one, it was loud. Did you hear it?”
You laughed before trying to reach for Hana.
“Okay, let me take her to bed.”
“No… out.” Draken said before holding her to him closely.
𝓜𝓲𝓴𝓮𝔂
You were with Mitsuya, working on some clothes for your daughter when you received a facetime call from your husband.
“Oh it’s Mikey, I should take this.”
“Be my guest, tell him and Akari I said, Hi,” Mitsuya said and you nodded.
You answered but instead of being met with just Mikey’s face, you were met with Akari’s sleeping face as well. And she was not where she should have been.
“Listen babe, I know we discussed this yesterday when we bought her big girl bed… so I wanted to let you know before you got home… that she will be sleeping in bed with me tonight,” Mikey whispered quietly.
Mikey had gotten used to telling you things before you got home, because it always lessened the damage and the blow for him.
“Manjiro, we in fact did discuss that she will be sleeping in her big girl bed tonight.”
“I know, but she is safe with me…”
“She is safe in her bed…”
“She is sleeping here just one more night…”
“Manjiro, she needs to go to bed… in her bed…”
“If she sleeps in her bed, I am sleeping in her bed too…”
“No, she needs to be in her bed, Manjiro.”
“She is growing up way too fast, let me have this please…” he gave you those puppy eyes he used to give you in school when you would scold him for skipping classes. The ones that made you fall in love with him.
“Sano Manjiro, I swear to god…”
“Love you baby, bye bye. Muwah…” Mikey blew you a kiss, before kissing Akari’s head. After that the phone hung up and you gripped your phone.
Mitsuya had overheard the conversation and tried not to laugh but he couldn’t help it. You looked over at him defeated.
“What am I going to do with him?”
“I don’t know, you married him. But to be fair Akari is growing up really fast.”
“I know, I guess I can’t be too mad. And by the time I get home, I can take some cute photos of them sleeping together one last time,” you said.
“Exactly, see, won’t be that bad. Now back to these clothes…”
𝓡𝓪𝓷
You walked into your home around 10:00 PM, it was late and you were exhausted. All you wanted to do was curl in your husband’s arms and sleep. It was a good thing, that you had bought Himari her own bed, and had plans of sleeping there tonight.
You kicked your shoes off, and noticed all the lights in the house was off. You blinked confused, because normally Ran was waiting up for you after putting Himari down for bed. You walked around the house, before going to Himari’s room, to see her before you went to bed, assuming Ran was already asleep.
When you walked in, you were horrified, because there was no sight of your little girl anywhere. Anxiety filled you, so you rushed to your room, and opened it. You seen Ran asleep and walked over and shook him, fear written on your face.
“Babe? What’s wrong?” He asked in a deep voice, showing he just woke up.
“Where is the baby?”
“I don’t know…”
“Ran, where is our daughter, I can’t find her…” you said, but he shrugged. That is when you started to get suspicious, and tugged on the blanket. He tried to fight you off but he couldn’t, and a moss of (h/c) showed, before seeing your daughter’s face sleeping.
“Babe,” he groaned.
“We said she was gonna be sleeping in her big girl bed, that’s why we bought it.”
“One more night please, she is growing up way too fast. Faster than Rindou did, when he was younger.” he pleaded.
“She needs to go to bed.”
“So do I, now get out.”
Himari started to move around, and he quickly covered her up and laid his head back down. Your eye twitched slightly, even though it was cute to see your husband and daughter curled up, there just wasn’t enough room for the three of you in the bed. You sighed softly, before gently tugging on the blanket…”
“Fine, just one more, one more look.”
Ran nodded, and pulled the blanket down. You kissed her forehead before pecking his cheek. He smiled at you sleepily, and mouthed the words.
“Love you my queen…”
“Love you too, you big baby… I am going to sleep on the couch…” You huffed and walked to the living room, and flopped on the couch. You could never be mad at your husband or daughter, they were the cutest things ever.
