The Ending
âOi, Putri..â
âYes?â
âYa run dis place, right?â
âMore or lessâŠâ
âWell! Can ya make an executive fuckinâ order ta install some cell tower, now!?â Iyabo barked, raising her phone in the air in a desperate attempt to find a signal. âUrgh! Ya gotta be kiddinâ, outta all te times ta get no service-!â
âOh! Iâll check my phone!â Fay piped up, searching her pockets, fumbling but finding nothing in the end. In her other free hand was a laptop she found in her holding cell and decided to take with her, unbeknownst to Fay, Chiaki resided inside of it. Fay began to pout, leaning over to Leigh. âPst! I canât find my phone, do you have oneâŠ?â She asked in a whisper.
Leigh pouted sadly. âNo.. I donât have a phoneâŠâ They sniffled.
âThis is horrible! Weâre gonna be stuck on this shitstain of an island forever now!â Hiyoko whines with teary eyes and an upset scowl. âA-All because you idiots canât find a phone booth!â
âYouâre welcome to search for one yourself, Hiyoko.â Aditi commented, entering the scene while still carrying an unconscious Miu in her arms.
âAudi! Jesus- what the hell happened to you guys!?â Hajime asked with genuine concern, hovering next to her like an overprotective mother hen.
âMe and the robot sat down and had a wonderful game of chessâŠâ Aditi grumbled sarcastically, whipping some blood from the corner of her mouth. âHave you found a way to return home yet?â
âNot exactly..â Finn commented gently, realizing Iyabo was in too frazzled of a state to answer properly. He was more worried about her getting too frustrated and throwing the phone in the ocean.
Angie had her hands clasped together in prayer, humming and focusing all of her energy. âAtua, if you can hear Angie now⊠we are in a great time of need. Could you perhaps send us a savior of sorts? Another god? A ship? Perhaps a plane?? Both! Atua says he will give us both!â She brightens.
âOh yea? Why donâtcha ask yer god where te fuck they are then, huh!? âCause âm not seeinâ it!â Iyabo growled at the artist, who merely shrugged in response. âCan ya take this seriously!? If we donât get outta âere, we could become fuckinâ war prisoners! Do ya want that, airhead-!?â
While everyone else was bickering, Ivy had been off to the side. One arm was wrapped around her sister, who had once again gone catatonic. The other was outstretched, with her hand holding up a faintly glowing red cube. The cube spun in the air, occasionally collapsing in on itself before reforming. Then, in a flash of red, it vanished, but not before sending out something akin to a dying message. Letting her arm fall, Ivy whispered to herself.
"...I trust in you, Paff. Bring us homeâŠ"
In that exact moment a plane flew right over their heads at incredible speeds, the noise of the engine so loud that conversing was impossible for a couple of seconds, the small plane turning around and circling over the island.
âAHOYYY!â A voice called out excitedly. From the same direction the plane came from, a small ship appeared, coming directly at them. At the top a familiar man standing.
âIs everyone alright?! Weâre âere ta pick ya landlubbers up!â It was Drake, waving at the group with his hooked hand, grinning widely. And he came with a whole cavalry of familiar faces, all there for the rescue mission.
Aditi and Iyabo gawked at their sudden appearance, while Putri began jumping up and down violently and waving her arms. âHere!! Heeeerreeee!! Youâre here!!!â She squealed happily.
âNyahaha! You see, Atua never disappoints!â Angie proclaimed with a big smile, pointing at the crusade here to save them.
Drake grinned, yelling back: âOf course! Weâve been lookinâ fer ya the whole time!â He turned, informing his crew: âGet ready. Weâre âbout to dock.â
The plane stopped its high circling after finally finding a nearby spot to land, probably causing a lot of commotion but at least landing smoothly, the hatch opening and revealing a very familiar pilot, taking off his helmet and jumping out, asking: âIs everyone alright?! We should leave as fast as possible!â
The boat docked successfully and Drake made his way down the bridge, ordering: âQuick, âfore we be spotted. We gotta set sail quickly!â

Salient? Your rebuttal?
â...excuse me? What do you mean it was me? Yeah, I know Iâm the most likely person because of the acid thing, but seriously?â Salient clearly did not take the news lightly.
âReally? That scruffy head did it? Why??â Putri interjected putting pressure on the accusation at hand. She pouted, clearly not buying the claim. âHe doesnât get anything out of killing her! Why would be bend over backwards for the artist? Just because theyâre friends? Thatâs stupid-!â
"She's right! He has nothing to gain from this, so why would he kill her?" Leigh asked, leaning forward on the podium. "He wouldn't." They spat venomously, losing all nervousness.
âIn self-defense.â Ivy spoke up, staring down Leigh. âWe know a struggle broke out in Maisieâs room. Now, there are two possibilities. One is the obvious: Maisie fought back when the killer broke into her room. However, there was something about the knife that opens up a second possibility.â
âWho fucking cares about who had the knife!?â Miu cut in angrily, pointing an accusatory finger at Salient and Leigh. âYou two fucks ride Angieâs dick like no tomorrow, of fucking course itâs one of you two! Acid Spray took his chemicals and a knife, melted the lock, and barged into her room to kill her and get Angieâs fucking video away from her. All the evidence would be gone after that!â She theorized proudly.
âThen explain how the knife only had Maisieâs fingerprints on it.â Ivy shifted her cold gaze towards Miu. âI got a look at the handle. I knew it made sense for Maisieâs fingerprints to be on it; she was gripping onto it in death, after all. However, for her fingerprints to be the only set implies something very, very different. I assume people have gone into the kitchen and taken a knife out to eat with. The odds of any of the knives having not been touched are minuscule at best. Now, this leads to one of three possibilities. One, the killer took the knife, cleaned the handle of fingerprints prior to the murder, then used gloves. Two, Maisie took the knife and cleaned the handle. Or three...the knife wasnât taken from the kitchen at all.â
"No- I think the knife definitely was taken from the kitchen. Just maybe not by our killer." Hajime commented. "No one here has a talent that requires knives, so the kitchen is the only place to get it. Maybe Maisie got it beforehand for her own reasons... But I have a question." Hajime turned back to Salient. "Salient, your hands are in bad shape.. do you even have fingerprints?"
"..." The question caught Salient off guard. He stood silent for a moment. "...no. They were...burned off after the accident. Why is this-"
"Because only Maisie's finger prints were on the knife." He interrupted. "If you were to stab her with her own weapon, then your fingerprints wouldn't show since you don't have any. Then you wouldn't have to wipe any fingerprints off or even bother using gloves."
âItâs true. You have more of an advantage for a clean crime scene than anyone else here.â Aditi nodded, crossing her arms. âAside from the fact anyone couldâve used the acid in your lab, nobody would know how to handle it as well as you. Which ties you into the melted door latch as well. Sadly.â
âThat sounds good and all, but...â Ryan glanced over at Salient, then to Spy, who tilted his head. â...somethingâs still bothering me. The motive video. The killer took it with them. That is the one piece of evidence that will solve this case. But...thereâs no trail for it.â
â...actually...I may have something.â Spy spoke up, before rummaging through his pockets.

Angie, honey... It's okay. He's not here. He can't hurt you.
Angie hardly responded to your assurance, focusing on breathing in and out rapidly. Her throat felt like it was closing in on itself. No matter what she tried, the mental image wouldnât leave. It felt so vivid, she could hear everyone laughing and mocked her, the tears that burned her cheeks red, the hands. âD-D-Donât touch me-!â She shouted, shoving Hajimeâs hand away from her violently. Though it was meant to comfort her, her mind was too far gone to recognize it. All she could picture was that devilish man. Nobody else.
Aditi stood from her spot, walking over to put her hands on Hajimeâs shoulders as reassurance. Her gaze looked to Angie in the midst of her breakdown. â... Are we able to call a short recess? Until she is able to stand trial once again? She is in no condition to do so..âïżŒ
âNo.â Monokuma responds coldly. âYou all will see this through. Whether you want to or not. No exceptions.â
"We can't keep questioning her if she doesn't respond, you know." Hajime argued with a cross of his arms, looking to Monokuma sternly. "It'll just make it worse and take longer." Hajime said with a huff. Of course he didn't care. He never did when someone broke down mid-trial.
"I agree- it's hardly fair to keep questioning Angie when she's in this state... the stress is really bad for her health." Leigh pointed out with worry, also looking towards Monokuma more pleadingly than stern.
âI said, no. Do not question me again. Or else.â
Ivy sighed. â...fuck. I suppose the only option now is to just...leave Angie alone.â She runs her hand across her podium, using her other hand to cover her mouth as she lets out a yawn. â...we should keep going. The only way out of here is to finish this trial. For Angieâs sake.â
â... Can we assume Angie was involved in this case?â Aditi asks bluntly, shaking her head. âI donât want to presume the worst in her, but considering her breakdown- I...â She bit her tongue at first, not wanting to seem cruel or unsympathetic but it was of no use. âShe has the clearest motive to do this. Who else is there to accuse?â
As the silence thickened, large beads of sweat formed on Leigh's forehead. In an attempt to suppress their nerves, they started bouncing in place; anxiously glancing between those leading the trial.
"Leigh, you look a little worried." Hajime commented, glancing at the doctor in question. "Are you involved somehow? You and Angie would make a good team. Did she get you to kill Maisie for her? You do seem to listen to whatever she says."
âIt canât be Leigh.â Salient spoke up, crossing his arms. âYes, Leigh is loyal to Angie...to a fault, but theyâre also legally blind. There is no way they would be able to even locate Maisieâs room, let alone acquire and use the acid on the doorknob. Donât even get me started on the fact that the killer struggled with Maisie. Leigh would not win that.â
âLook whoâs talkinâ.â Iyabo barked, before straightening her posture and glaring at the chemist. âYer just as much of a candidate as te blind sweatinâ pig! Ya both work fer âer, donâtcha?â
"Exactly." Hajime said. "Leigh might not win in a fight with her, but you probably could." Hajime commented. "Maybe it's you who did the dirty work for Angie. And you know how to use the acid that melted the lock. To add onto that, Angie is your only alibi." Hajime said, pointing towards Salient. "You're the one who committed the murder for Angie! She was your accomplice and not the murderer the whole time."

What if the knife isn't actually the weapon? What if Maisie simply hit her head and died of blunt-force trauma? And Hiyoko discovered the body, which is why she looked so panicked?
âLiterally all of those are proven wrong.â Wren leaned against their podium, twirling a card in their hand. âThat knife was found embedded in Maisie, the case file stated clear as day that the cause of death was from stab wounds, and Fay literally just admitted to having checked Maisieâs room before breakfast. You could not be more wrong if you tried.â
"Finally someone dumber than all of you!" Hiyoko said with a snort. "You all are super dumb for accusing me just because I happened to go to the kitchen last night-!"
She was interrupted by Hajime, who cleared his throat loudly. "Can we stay on topic? We may have limited time." Hajime informed, looking towards the ground with a sigh before looking back up. "So Fay was the first to see the body this morning. When was the last time anyone saw her? Then we can make a rough estimate of when she was killed."
â.. âM pretty sure I saw âer goinâ back ta âer room âround te time I helped Leigh find theirs.â Finn commented, looking to the doctor. âDid ya see-? Ooh, right, sorry-â He laughed sheepishly, realizing his mistake in asking that question. âIt was prolly too dark fer ya, right? Do ya âmember te time at least? I think it was... âround 10?â
"It's okay- don't worry." Leigh assured, even laughing slightly before they took a moment to think about the time. "Yeah.. it had to be at least 10 when he walked me back to my room."
âI was in my room for the entire night.â Ivy glanced at Vanessa, then Aditi. âI never saw Maisie, but Aditi came into my room at around 9:45. We talked for about...5 minutes, I believe.â
âMeaninâ, ya donât have an alibi at all. Neither does beanpole or yer sis. She left at 9:50, which gave âer anâ yous plenty of time ta go kill âer.â Iyabo sneered, despite the fact she had no alibi of her own.
âYouâre being awfully pushy!â Angie bops her head left to right curiously at the zoologist. âAtua wonders if thereâs more reasons for that, other than the murder attempt, hm?â
âWot te fuck are you implying, cunt!? I canât be te killer âmember? I counted as one âa te peps who saw the body first!â Iyabo fired back.
âIt canât be Ivy.â Spy spoke up, fidgeting with his hands. âI didnât see Leigh or Finn, but I was in the hallway between 9:45 and 10:00. I saw Aditi head back to her room. I did not see Ivy leave.â
â...wait.â Ivy tilted her head, crossing her arms. â...Spy, were you the one that placed that tray of food in my room the other day? And today?â
âOh, uhh...haha, umm...â Spy rubbed the back of his head, looking away. â...yeah. I was worried when I didnât see you at all the past few days. Thereâs no other source of food other than the restaurant, and I assumed you didnât have any in your room stored away, so...I got an extra plate of food during breakfast and...well, yeah.â
"But what about after ten, genius?" Hiyoko asked mockingly. "You could've killed her at ten and the took off! No one saw you after, huh? Huh?" She asked accusingly, looking at him expectantly.
"Hiyoko- please knock it off. We don't have time for baseless accusations." Hajime said with yet another sigh. "We have to take this serious. Spy's account is helpful." He said, sending a small glare towards the smaller girl.
Hiyoko looked away with a pout, crossing her arms with a small "hmpt!"
Aditi rolled her eyes at Hiyokoâs attempt to antagonize. âWe can not work off of alibis alone. Not without consideration of a motive to kill her, and...â She trailed off, clicking her claws together. âThe possibility of an accomplice.â

Well, Leigh, if youâre trying to not act suspicious, that is definitely not how you do it.
"Oh, was I? I'm just.. nervous. Wouldn't anyone be in this situation?" They asked, giving a small anxious laugh.

The door lock?
Wait, are these locks electronic, or do they open with a key?
"The locks are physical. A weird design choice, considering the labs are electronically locked." Ryan takes a look at the broken lock. "...huh. Looks like someone tried to pick it, with no success."
âThen how did it fall off?? I demand answers!â Putri stamps her foot in irritation, bouncing up to try and look at the broken lock a little better.
"One moment, let me take a closer look." Ivy walked over to analyze the lock, rotating it around while Ryan held onto it.
âWhat can you see, Vee? Any new clues to the culprit? Which one of us would be an expert in breaking locks anyway??â Angie asked curiously.
Ivy doesnât respond. At least, not immediately. But after a few more moments of silent analysis, she backs away from the lock, a somewhat puzzled look on her face. â...thereâs traces of some unknown substance on it. Also...it looks like parts of the lock have been...melted through. Thereâs a few areas where the parts are partially liquefied.â
At the discovery, Leigh seemed to freeze in place. A few moments later, however, they began nervously playing with their hair.
"So it was a nerd who knows how to melt stuff right? Or was some lame-os lab open to the public and anyone could've gotten it?" Hiyoko asks, tilting her head.
âNone of the laboratories have locks that we can access. I investigated them. Only the bear can lock and unlock those doors it seems. Once they are opened, they seem to be permanently kept ajar.â Aditi added, giving a side glance at Leigh, almost challenging them to speak.
âHmm... the only person I can think of who would have access to substances capable of melting through locks would be Salient. Heâs a chemist, so his lab probably has some strong acids that can eat through metal. Though...if what Aditiâs saying is true, that means someone could just easily break into his lab and steal what they needed.â Wren sighs, putting their hands on their hips. âSo... what now?â

Are there any additional wounds aside from the stab to the stomach? Or does the file not say?
"I'm finished!" Leigh announced as they stood, loud enough so that everyone could hear the new information. "She died sometime last night. The room was too cold so I can't tell the exact time, but it was definitely last night." Leigh informed happily. "Also, she has a broken ankle and signs of head trauma!"
âOkay, okay...â Putri gawked at the body, walking up and looking over the splatters of blood. âSo! It happened during the night time! Meaning... we all need to state where we were during that time frame exactly!â Putri states happily. âEasy! I was asleep in my room, obviously!â
âAha! Thatâs the trick, you see?â Angie butted in, just as cheery as ever. âYou see... we canât believe you unless you have somebody to prove you were sleeping! An alibi! If nobody saw you sleeping, Iâm afraid your fate is left to Atua! Nyahaha!!â
âMe and Vanessa were in my room. I had Aditi come over for something, she can attest to it.â Ivy looked over at Aditi, putting a finger over her mouth. It was a clear message. Donât talk about it.
âI saw Hiyoko head into the kitchen last night while I was practicing in the lobby. She seemed to be in a hurry.â Wren was leaning against the wall, brushing some of their hair aside. âNot sure if she noticed me, but I doubt that really matters. I donât think itâs her.â
Leigh tapped their chin in thought, remembering what they did last night. "Well, Finn helped me to my room last night so he can confirm I actually did go to my room! I suppose that would be mine." They smiled, happy that they could safely be declared innocent. "Should we go ask everyone else?"
âOwa?? One moment!â Angie cuts in, teetering in place. She looks to Wren. âYou said Hiyoko went to the kitchen last night? Funny, funny! Considering the murder weapon is a kitchen knife?â

*Puts on deerstalker cap* Hey guys! Don't we need some alibis? Let's start with who was with who! Hiyoko! You were quick to accuse, and while I'm not saying it's you, What's your alibi? And Miu! I don't suspect you of course but we gotta make sure the others know you're not the culprit! ~đȘ
âAh, Ah, Ah, Nonnie!â Angie cuts in, tutting at you lightly while wiggling her finger. âWe canât possibly discuss our alibis without the time of death, can we? We need to know when she died first, and then cut down the possible suspects! Atua says this is our best opinion!â
"Hey blind bitch number 2! Go faster so I can be proven innocent already!" Hiyoko said defensively towards Leigh, hoping that her pressure would hurry up the process.
"I have to be thorough If you want it to be accurate, orange!" They cheered the nickname, seemingly happily continuing to examine Maisie's corpse. They really were the right person for the job..
Angie giggled, turning to Hiyoko, a sudden shadow ghosting over her face as she leaning forward. âBeing so aggressive only makes you more suspicious, Hiyoko. You should calm down. Thereâs no need to worry. Atua is watching over us.â
âJust let Leigh work.â Ivy sighed, not wanting anything to be stalled. âWeâre on a time limit now. Trialâs probably gonna happen within the next 24 hours, so we need to gather as many clues as we can.â

What happened?!
âOwa?? Someone has died already!?â Angie tilted her head from side to side childishly, getting glances of the body inside the room. âOh no! The tall dancer has been sent to Atuaâs kingdom! What a shame...â
"Ugh, now all our lives are in danger. If we don't find who killed her, we all die except for them." Spy lets out an exasperated sigh, not exactly happy about the current situation. "...so where the fuck do we start?"
Finn couldnât look at the sight of Maisieâs body, turning away and cringing. âUsually ya get someone ta look at te body, right? Figure out te âcause of death anâ other... stuff?â He asked unsurely. âIs anyone a doctor âere?â
"Oh, we need a doctor?" Leigh asked, poking their head through the door. They bounced a little bit, happy to be able to assist. Until they saw Aditi, or at least her figure blocking the body. "Um.. if I could.." They added sheepishly, hoping the taller girl wouldn't be upset at their attempt to help.
âJust go, you blind bat! We need your knowledge now, and only now!â Putri barked angrily, shoving Leigh forward towards the body, despite being much shorter.
They stumbled forwards, trying not to trip over their own feet and ended up right behind the object of their nervousness. Gulping, they went around Aditi, praying she would pay them no mind, as they knelt next to the body to start the autopsy.
Unluckily, Aditi glanced up immediately when something moved in her sight. As Leigh knelt down beside the body, she glared harshly, her eyes ablaze. After a moment of silence, she closed her eyes and sighed. â... Be quick. Donât try anything funny. Understand?â She growled out to Leigh, begrudgingly.
Leigh looked towards Aditi's voice and nodded quickly, mumbling how they didn't know how fast it would be. They almost hoped she didn't hear it, however. With confidence, they started touching the blood and probing at some of her limbs, looking for information without their sight.

Leigh, help is on the way for your video!
"Help? Oh no- I think it's better that I don't see it.. this is a murder motive, right? So it'll just motivate us to kill, so it would be better to not watch it.."

Leigh?
Leigh struggled with the video, seeing the moving colors but not quite grasping what was going on. Of course the video had no audio.. They tried to squint and get closer to get a better view, but to no luck. So, they groaned in fustration. "So the doors are blind accessable but I can't read it, and the video doesn't even have audio.. Why does this teddy bear hate me?" They asked with a sigh. "Maybe it's for the best that I can't see it.."

âGood morning, everyone!â Angie cheers as everyone enters the cantinaïżŒ. The artist was an early riser and morning person to nobodiesâ surprise, leading her to be the first to arrive this morning. âHow did ya sleep? I hope so, I do! Look at this! Monokuma is very generous with his selections for food this time around.â She chides pointing to all the food.
â... Look, I ainât eatinâ anythinâ that freaky bear gives us. Iâd rather go fish anâ survive off that.â Iyabo sneers at the food displayed for all of them. Sure, it looked good, but was it worth getting poisoned?
Wren, meanwhile, had already gotten halfway through a plate of food. âThe foodâs fine! And itâs really good!â
âI doubt Monokuma would poison the food. If he wanted us dead, he probably wouldâve just killed us when we were all outside yesterday.â Ryan was studying the food. âPlus, I assume he wants us to kill each other. He wouldnât directly harm us, unless we break the rules he set.â
Leigh had found their way around after hearing so many voices in one place, cocking their head to the side as they entered. "Poison?" They asked. "Did someone die already?"
âAre you deaf too, Dr. Fuckwit? Nobody kicked the bucket yet! Letâs keep it that way too, alright!?â Miu snarled, aiming to open her mouth to sass some more, but was cut off by the television screens outside flickering to life. âGod damn it-â
âPuhuhuhu! Sorry to ruin the moment, but I think itâs time we get this killing game underway! I hope you all got settled in, because things are about to be shaken up!â
âTo be honest, Iâve fallen behind schedule. You see, Iâve been spending the past week combing through everyoneâs pasts, trying to dig up some juicy secrets! It was...a lot harder than I thought.â
âBut that doesnât matter anymore! What matters is: I have carefully selected one secret from each of you to use as a motive! But not your motive, no. That would be boring. No, the secret I chose for each of you will be randomly given to one of your fellow contestants! Thatâs right, each of you will get someone elseâs secret!â
âAs for what you do with that information, that is all up to you! Iâve already sent video players to all of your rooms. Each of them contain the secret you were assigned to get. So, when youâre ready, just head on up and see what your friends are hiding from you!â
âAh-hahahahahaha!â As the laugh fades out, the TVs shut off.

Fay and Leigh
Fay had managed to lose Miu thanks to the inventor getting distracted by another passerby. The astrologist stumbled onto her lab, with a giant star symbol on the front, not that she could see that, but she felt the Braille underneath that spelled her name. Inside she found multiple items, tarot cards in Braille, posts of the planets, star shaped lights hanging from all around, plenty of books, some kind of device with audio readings for her, and a telescope. She was so distracted she barely heard the footsteps from behind. Barely. âHuh?? Whoâs there??â She turned and looked around curiously.
"It's me, Leigh." They said, continuing to approach. "This is your lab right? Lots of reds as I expected.." They comment, confused on the shades of blue and purple. They decided not to mention it, at least not for now. "You're the only other person I really know here so I wanted to check on you and see what you were doing, if you don't mind." They said, not wanting to overstep with Fay. She was the only person outside of the group that was really nice to them, and the only person they could somewhat relate to.. they didn't want to ruin it.
âOh! Leigh!â Fay excitedly groped the air, carefully walking towards their other practically blind friend. She laughed and caught their arm in a hug. âIâm glad itâs you! I thought it was someone trying to hurt me!â She smiled and looked up towards the sky for a moment. âItâs red? Red is my favorite color, so that makes sense! Did you find your lab yet? I think your chemist friend got his opened!â
Leigh couldn't help but giggle at the small hug, however they quickly got nervous once more. "No, I havenât.. all the textures and colors on the doors are the same." They explaimed sheepishly, glancing away from the astrologist. Even if Fay couldn't see, their voice showed how nervous they were. "I can't tell which one's which but when I saw the bright red I knew it must've been yours! So I came here. How did you find yours?"
âWell, Miu was walking with me, but she stopped to talk to someone.â Fay pouted at the memory, sad she had to walk alone to her room. She brightened up quickly however. âOh! Thereâs Braille on all the doorways for us!â She exclaimed happily. âEven if the teddy bear is evil, I guess he cares enough to be courteous to us. Heh! Thatâll ïżŒhelp you find the other room too, Iâm sure of it!â
"Braille?" They mimiced, confused for a second before their brain caught up. "Ohh right, right.. I never learned to read braile." They said with a small pout. "I rely on textures, colors, and memorization to know where I'm going. It'll take a while to memorize this whole place though.. it seems really big..."
âOh! You never... Aw...â Fay began to question, only to let out a sympathetic sound in the midst of doing so. It must be hard for them if they never learned Braille, new areas definitely must be a challenge. She took a step, grabbing both of Leighâs hand this time. âItâs okay. I can teach you, if youâd like? Itâll be super easy for you, especially with a talent like yours. You already remember so many medical things, that remembering letters will be no problem! What do you say?â She offered with a smile.
Leigh quickly perked up much likea puppy offered a treat; and much like that puppy, how could they refuse? "Of course!" They responded eagerly, nodding their head. They could get used to positive attention like this from others. It was something they wanted more of. "How should we start?"

*Sigh.*
Okay, for those who aren't familiar with sir BitchBot the monochrome, do you know what killing games are? Ya know, the games where you're forced to murder each other?
If Monokuma shows up, it means you're in one of those. And he's here.
âOooh, okay! Makes sense!â Fay began chipperly, only for it to drop and her head to tilt a moment later. âKilling game? Why would we do that? We donât have a reason to kill each other! Thereâs no way a teddy bear can force us to...?â She reasons.
âStop calling me a teddy bear! And yes, I can! Itâs kinda my job to do that!â
âWhile Iâm here, I guess I might as well explain the rules.
1. You are not allowed to attempt to escape the island on your own. If I see any boats being made, youâre being punished.
2. Nighttime is between 10 pm and 7 am. Some areas of the hotel will be closed during these hours, so watch the time.
3. Sleeping anywhere outside of your assigned hotel room is prohibited.
4. Aside from the nighttime restrictions, you are free to explore the hotel and the surrounding island as you please.
5. Violence against both the headmaster and his property - the security cameras - is strictly prohibited.
6. If anyone commits murder, they will be considered âblackenedâ. If they are not discovered, they will be allowed to escape the island.
7. Speaking of murder, if a murder occurs, a âclass trialâ will take place after a short investigation period. All surviving students must attend.
8. If the âblackenedâ is exposed in the trial, they alone will be executed.
9. If the âblackenedâ is not exposed in the trial, everyone except them will be executed, and they will be allowed to escape the island.
10. Any one âblackenedâ cannot kill more than two people at a time. Triple murders are fun, but they mess with the pacing, and thatâs not fun.
11. More rules will be added if deemed necessary.â
âAha! Angie sees! Itâs just like the last game!â The artist smiled and looked to everyone. âDo not fear, everyone! This time around, we will play the game right and learn from our mistakes, yes? Atua is watching over us no matter the outcome!â
"You stupid bobbleheaded cult freak do you hear what you're saying?!" Hiyoko yelled at Angie, glaring at her through her glossy eyes. "Play the game right? That means killing each other dumbass! I'm not dying again! Especially not to you!"
"You were cute before, now your voice is getting annoying." Leigh said, unphased by the rules and concept of murder. "Just relax. We can exploit holes in the rules somehow. We all just need to stay calm and think. If you all would stop panicking we can overthrow this thing. It's all of us against that stuffed bear, after all."
âDo you really want to test me, blind doctor? I have plenty of bite to back up my bark.â
âHey, come on, thereâs no need to fight. Just because we can kill each other doesnât mean we have to, right?â Wrenâs voice was shaky, as even they were uneasy about the situation.
"They'll happen anyways." Hajime said quietly, clinging to Aditi for support. If he didn't, he was certain he'd be rolling in the sand. No matter how much they all said they wouldn't, it happened anyway. He was sure him and all the other past contestants knew that more than anyone else. "Audi- Audi I think I'm gonna pass out.." He said, gently tugging her arm.
Aditi wasnât quite sure she could offer any words, since she agreed with Hajime on this matter. She couldnât deny that she didnât trust half of the contestants here to do the right thing. All she could offer, was wrapping her arms around him and pulling him over. âIâm here.â She said quietly, running a hand up to his hair. Even when he blacked out, she glared at Monokuma. âWhy are you doing this? Who is controlling you..?â
In the background, someone hides a smile behind their hand.

Oh sweet! Gang's all here! Mostly!
Something was making the sand beneath the group shift. It looked to be burrowing through the beach. The shifting trail of sand ended in an open spot near them, then it surfaced. It was...him. That damned bear.
âI couldnât have said it better myself!â
âHEEEEE!!!â Miu shrieked and fumbled back like an deer on ice. Her legs suddenly felt like jello, and they refused to gain back her balance to stand. Instead, she scrambled away on her hands and knees and ended up hiding behind Fay. No. No, no, no. This isnât real. Thatâs not happening, no. What? Why-?? She was babbling out loud before she knew it. âNo... no, no, no, no-! Stay away f-from me!â
âHaha! Look! Sheâs afraid of a teddy bear! Eheheha-!â Putri giggles aloud and points at Miu mockingly while she has a complete mental breakdown. âItâs a robot teddy! Is it soft too??â She asked curiously.
"Putri get away from him!" He shouted at Putri as he grabbed and pulled her away defensively. If he was anxious before, he was definitely panicking now. While still holding her, he backed away from the monochrome bear closer to Aditi, practically trembling. "We need to get out of here. Now!"
"Wait, why are we panicking?" Leigh asked, trying to understand the situation. "Is there a bear? Is it a cute one?" They asked obliviously.
Ivy backed away too, pulling Vanessa with her. Both remain silent.
Spy, on the other hand, got closer to Fay, taking a protective stance in front of her. âThatâs not an ordinary bear.â
âYup! Thatâs correct! I donât think I need to introduce myself, since I see some very familiar faces among you! Go on, tell them who I am!â
"You stupid, ugly, good for nothing hunk of junk!" She insulted, hiding her fear and anxiety behind her anger for the robot. "Don't hide your name like you're special, Monokuma! You're just another sick freak who gets off to dead people! You should just go die!" Despite her insults, she looked like she was on the verge of tears, her voice wavering occasionally as she spoke.
Putri notices Hiyokoâs stance, pulling against Hajimeâs grip on her and grabbing the other dancerâs hand in her own for support.
Aditi blinked as everyone seemed to be in a panic over such a small animatronic. Of course, she did shove Hajime, Putri, and Hiyoko behind her and step forward. âThis toy is dangerous, you say?â She asked everyone around.
âHey, donât call me a toy! Iâm not just some teddy bear! I am your headmaster! You all may not be considered part of the same âclassâ, but youâre all Ultimates, so you all fall under my authority!â
Ivy rolled her eyes. This thing has no idea, does it.

Iyabo huffed angrily, marching over to the artist and gently but firmly yanking away the baby skunk. âHave ya never seen a skunk âfore, ditz?â The skunk sat happily on her shoulder once again.
âOwah??? He isnât a squirrel?? Oh, so strange! He is just as cute as the lemurs back home!â She complimented, waving to the group that joined. âHello! Yaha! Is this everyone? We are a full group now, how divine!â
"Great, this island is filled with annoying losers!" Hiyoko said with a huff, quickly pouting as she looked up at everyone, learning their faces.
"Aw your voice is cute!" Leigh chirped in happily at the smaller girl, despite not quite knowing who the voice belonged to. There was too many people here for them to learn shapes and colors to voices. "You sound like a child!" They said, happily shifting side to side on their feet.
âYou.â Ivy lets out an uncharacteristic snarl, glaring daggers at Angie. â...what are you doing here? Havenât you done enough harm to us already?â
Spy steps in front of Ivy. âIvy, thatâs enough. Weâre all stuck in the same boat. Thereâs no use picking fights.â
Angie was about to hold up her hands defenselessly and show she held no weapons, but she was cut off by a frantic cry from her former classmate. âWhat the fuck are you doing here!?â Miu shrieked, pointing accusatorially at Hajime. âYou-! You, despair freak!? Is that one of your victims behind you?? What the fuck did you do to her face!?â Miu asked, looking at Aditi with a mix of disgust and pity.
â... Excuse me?â Aditi asked harshly, her mouth forming into a sneer. She leaned against one of her hands boredly while looking down at the inventor. âIâm nobodyâs victim, foul mouth. Keep your voice down, wonât you? Itâs going so high, soon only dogs will be able to hear you.â Miu flustered at the response, but Aditi ignored it, looking to Hajime. âWho is this, dear?â
Hajime's anxiety seemed to go up at being yelled at, subtly stepping back and closer to Aditi as he looked up at her. "It's um.. Miu Iruma. Ultimate Inventor. She's the one that made Pixel." He explained, his gaze falling back on Miu. "What are you talking about? I thought we were on good terms after I watched Pixel- did I do something wrong?"
âDid something wrong? Did something wrong!?â Miu shouts in pure anger, balling up her fist and gritting her teeth. âYou-! Youâre a fucking remnant of despair! Not just one! Youâre thee remnant of despair! The fucking headliner! And you decided to hide behind a new name and haircut huh, fuck stain!? Well, you canât fool me! This was all probably your plan! Youâre working with the grimy vomit-hair douche, arenât you!?â
âHe did nothing wrong, Miu.â Ivy quickly moves between Miu and Hajime. âI know. Youâre not the only one Iâve researched. And leave Aditi out of this.â
Miu snarled at Ivy, ready to get in her face and argue once again. Fay clumsily bounded forward and reached out and touched the two girlsâ arms. âHey, hey, guys! Itâs okay. The stars say, we just have to calm down, alright? Thereâs no need to start panicking or fighting? Whatever problems we have, we can sort out, Iâm sure of it! Right?â She encouraged with a sheepish smile.
"Puhuhuhuhuhu! I don't think so!"
