The Ending
âOi, Putri..â
âYes?â
âYa run dis place, right?â
âMore or lessâŠâ
âWell! Can ya make an executive fuckinâ order ta install some cell tower, now!?â Iyabo barked, raising her phone in the air in a desperate attempt to find a signal. âUrgh! Ya gotta be kiddinâ, outta all te times ta get no service-!â
âOh! Iâll check my phone!â Fay piped up, searching her pockets, fumbling but finding nothing in the end. In her other free hand was a laptop she found in her holding cell and decided to take with her, unbeknownst to Fay, Chiaki resided inside of it. Fay began to pout, leaning over to Leigh. âPst! I canât find my phone, do you have oneâŠ?â She asked in a whisper.
Leigh pouted sadly. âNo.. I donât have a phoneâŠâ They sniffled.
âThis is horrible! Weâre gonna be stuck on this shitstain of an island forever now!â Hiyoko whines with teary eyes and an upset scowl. âA-All because you idiots canât find a phone booth!â
âYouâre welcome to search for one yourself, Hiyoko.â Aditi commented, entering the scene while still carrying an unconscious Miu in her arms.
âAudi! Jesus- what the hell happened to you guys!?â Hajime asked with genuine concern, hovering next to her like an overprotective mother hen.
âMe and the robot sat down and had a wonderful game of chessâŠâ Aditi grumbled sarcastically, whipping some blood from the corner of her mouth. âHave you found a way to return home yet?â
âNot exactly..â Finn commented gently, realizing Iyabo was in too frazzled of a state to answer properly. He was more worried about her getting too frustrated and throwing the phone in the ocean.
Angie had her hands clasped together in prayer, humming and focusing all of her energy. âAtua, if you can hear Angie now⊠we are in a great time of need. Could you perhaps send us a savior of sorts? Another god? A ship? Perhaps a plane?? Both! Atua says he will give us both!â She brightens.
âOh yea? Why donâtcha ask yer god where te fuck they are then, huh!? âCause âm not seeinâ it!â Iyabo growled at the artist, who merely shrugged in response. âCan ya take this seriously!? If we donât get outta âere, we could become fuckinâ war prisoners! Do ya want that, airhead-!?â
While everyone else was bickering, Ivy had been off to the side. One arm was wrapped around her sister, who had once again gone catatonic. The other was outstretched, with her hand holding up a faintly glowing red cube. The cube spun in the air, occasionally collapsing in on itself before reforming. Then, in a flash of red, it vanished, but not before sending out something akin to a dying message. Letting her arm fall, Ivy whispered to herself.
"...I trust in you, Paff. Bring us homeâŠ"
In that exact moment a plane flew right over their heads at incredible speeds, the noise of the engine so loud that conversing was impossible for a couple of seconds, the small plane turning around and circling over the island.
âAHOYYY!â A voice called out excitedly. From the same direction the plane came from, a small ship appeared, coming directly at them. At the top a familiar man standing.
âIs everyone alright?! Weâre âere ta pick ya landlubbers up!â It was Drake, waving at the group with his hooked hand, grinning widely. And he came with a whole cavalry of familiar faces, all there for the rescue mission.
Aditi and Iyabo gawked at their sudden appearance, while Putri began jumping up and down violently and waving her arms. âHere!! Heeeerreeee!! Youâre here!!!â She squealed happily.
âNyahaha! You see, Atua never disappoints!â Angie proclaimed with a big smile, pointing at the crusade here to save them.
Drake grinned, yelling back: âOf course! Weâve been lookinâ fer ya the whole time!â He turned, informing his crew: âGet ready. Weâre âbout to dock.â
The plane stopped its high circling after finally finding a nearby spot to land, probably causing a lot of commotion but at least landing smoothly, the hatch opening and revealing a very familiar pilot, taking off his helmet and jumping out, asking: âIs everyone alright?! We should leave as fast as possible!â
The boat docked successfully and Drake made his way down the bridge, ordering: âQuick, âfore we be spotted. We gotta set sail quickly!â

SPY WHAT THE âš FUCK âš
âY-Yea, wot te fuck!?â Iyabo practically shouted, backing away from Spy and Monokumaâs remains as quickly as possible, nearly fumbling into Vanessa in the process. âWhere te fuck is everyone else!? Wot happened!?â She demanded.
âYou were the one working for the bear, seriously?â Putri puffed up in an attempt to seem bigger, though a nervous bead of sweat was visible on her brow.
"What the hell?!" Hiyoko exclaimed, glaring at Spy. "I'm seriously gonna bop you on the head if you don't explain!" She threatened, yet as she pointed at him her hand trembled gently. She was just as afraid as everyone else.. scared of the possibility the barrel of the gun would be pointed her way next.
â...what Putri said. Turns out I had to work for that fucking childâs toy. Run things on the inside. Whoop-de-fucking-do.â Spy grabbed his empty pistol off the podium, holstering it. âIâm fairly certain the systemâs undergoing some sort of critical failure, though, so itâs disconnecting people. Not sure why weâre the last ones, but hey, gives me time to talk, I guess.â
"You're not very enthusiastic about this." Hajime pointed out, quickly noticing his distaste towards Monokuma and working with him. "If I'm correct, you didn't want to be the mastermind here.. or rather, you're not the real mastermind." He explained, hoping it would calm the nerves of everyone. "Everyone faded away because this is a simulated killing game. There's someone else making Spy do this."
âJeez, was it that obvious? Then again, this isnât your first rodeo.â Spy chuckled, calmly tugging the bottom of his hoodie. âI will say, though. Youâre probably not the only one to figure that out. The simulation, that is. You did notice Ivy rubbing the wall, right? Running her hand across it? If not, well, I did. The walls are smooth. Far too smooth. Not the kind of thing youâd find at a real hotel. Iâm not sure if she came to the conclusion that itâs computer generated, but I wouldnât be surprised if she did.â He leans against his podium. âAs for the mastermind thing, well, youâre right. Iâm fairly certain you all know who it is.â
Putri glared around at the walls, frustrated she couldnât notice a detail that small. Her mind was too wrapped up in the trial and focusing on keeping Aditi calm. She knew who he was referring to. If it were true, they needed to move quickly and get out of there as fast as possible. â... Damnit.â She growled, looking left to right frantically. âHow do we get out? We have to get out of here! Now!â
âSlow down, I-I ainât done askinâ âim questions!â Iyabo interjected, snarling at the shorter girl to stay put. She turned back to Spy, uneasy but trying to keep steady. â... Why te fuck didnât we evaporate too? Was it- just, random..?â
Spy shrugged. âI donât know, actually. Weâre probably gonna get disconnected soon, though. Just a matter of how long the system has left in the tank. Speaking of which... I think someone launched a cyberattack on the killing game. Would explain the critical failures.â
âBut, who?â Iyabo rebutted, frustrated by the lack of clear meaning. âWho wants ta stop this thing from playinâ out? Is someone tryinâ ya help us..? Or-â She startled when she felt her foot nearly slip on something. Looking back, she could see the world around them evaporating, closing in on them inch by inch. âJesus fuck! Uh-!â She looked to the others for support, clearly unable to keep up.
Putri took initiative, reaching out and taking Iyaboâs hand, and then Hiyokoâs in her other. âItâs going to be fine, itâs going to kick us out of the simulation. When it does, we have to get out of wherever we are being held and escape. O.. Okay?â
Hiyoko nodded firmly, gaining her confidence knowing they all could gang up on a common enemy. "First we shod totally rip the fingernails off whoever did this to us!" She said with a sadistic grin, pulling her free hand to her face as she snickered.
Hajime however stared towards the rapidly approaching endless sea of white. It was familiar, but never comforting. He couldn't help the dread of realizing he knew nothing about what was on the other side of this simulation. What would he wake up to? Whatever it was, he could only hope it was better than last time.

Ivory slipped through the doorway and closed it tightly, careful not to make a sound. He needed to make haste. Of course, he planned for things to go wrong, always needing to stay one step ahead. But, he wanted to retrieve one more thing before making his escape. Or, better said, someone.
Immediately he was greeted by the sound of soft sobbing. Turning his head towards the noise, he could plainly see the source. Putri sat upwards, the helmet prison that kept her in the simulation thrown to the side, while she covered her face with her hands. Ivoryâs face softened at the sight, approaching quietly and placing a hand on her shoulder. âWinifred. Are you-?â He began.
Putri was quick to react, jumping and shoving his hand off of her. She looked up with a beat red face, eyes shining with tears, yet the anger behind them was visible. âDonât touch me.â She warned, voice wavering with emotion.
âI-â Ivory bit his lip, sighing. âYou know I never wanted to hurt you. Your simulation wasnât programmed to kill you, unlike the others. I wouldnât put you in harms way.â He promised, crouching down to her eye level in an attempt to be seen as equal.
âI.. I donât care..â Putri shook her head, choking on her tears. âWe... this... this didnât need to happen. N-None of it. Why? Why did you take it this far? Youâre mad...â
âPerhaps. But, youâre no better.â Ivory commented, nonchalantly with a sense of certainty in his eyes.
Putri looked him in the eyes with disgust at that remark, releasing a shaky breath. â... I want my friend back. I-I miss how you were when we were young, Vee.â Ivory felt his heart skip when she used that old childish nickname. âI donât w-want this anymore..â
â... I know. I know you donât.â Ivory agreed, reaching out to her once again, his time taking one of her hands in his own. âEverything can be as it once was, Winifred. This madness can all be put to rest, I promise it! We can rebuild this land from the bottom up once again. Create a legacy to be proud of, as we were always meant to. All I need is..â He squeezed her noticeably smaller hand in his palm, looking to meet her gaze pleadingly. âCome with me?â
âWith you...?â
âYes. We can forget about these people, let them flee, let them go. They wonât matter. All that matters is you. Only you.â He nodded, completely sure of himself, searching her eyes for an answer. âPlease..?â
Putri stared back for a long moment, unsure of how to respond. Her features relaxed however, and Ivory recognized this as a good sign. The dancerâs hand moved up to wrap around his shoulders, pulling him forward into a hug.
This startled him terribly. How long had to been since they hugged? Gods, since they were children? He felt idiotic, on his knees and stalling from such a simple display of affection. He finally returned the hug, resting his chin on her shoulder with a sigh, closing his eyes to bask in the moment. This was all he wanted. How could this have gone any better? Putri was here and her arms around his neck protected him from the cold, and if he had it his way, heâd never let go. Never again.
Wait... the cold. Ivory felt the breeze on the back of his neck as Putri began to pull away, revealing a devilish smile painted on her face. In her hand, laced with pieces of his long green hair, was her bronze dagger. She...
He hurriedly felt the back of his neck, finding no long hair to brush his fingers through any longer. Looking down in horror, he saw exactly what he feared. His hair, the very symbol of his power in Eventus, lying on the floor like common garbage, tossed aside without a care. He choked on air, looking back to his childhood friend who was laughing hysterically, eyes swirling with madness. âIâll never love you. Not now. Not ever. Youâre nothing anymore, Ivory. Nothing.â She hissed with enough venom to physically bite him.
â... Y-You...â Ivory croaked pathetically, shoulders shaking with the loss of control. She fooled him, used his weakness for her as a weapon, made him look like a fool. His hair was gone. His nobility was shattered. The betrayal finally sank in to his mind. And with that, came the explosion. âYou.. little wench-!!â He screeched.
Putriâs laughter was interrupted by being slammed down by the throat to the table that held her captive during the simulation. She gasped, kicking her feet and scratching at his hand desperately for air. âIâm nothing!? Please! Youâre below dirt, Putrid. You always have been. You always will be. You dare shame me like this-!? After everything Iâve done for you!? I threw my life away for you and your disgusting obsession with that beast of a woman! Youâre through! Iâm done pleading for your willingness!â He leaned down closer to the dancer, an equally as insane grin that matched hers from before. âYouâre not getting away from me again. Ever.â
The door flew open at that very moment, a flash of yellow sprinted up to Ivory and promptly kicked Ivory viciously in the legs. âGet your hands off of her, you overgrown piece of seaweed!!â Hiyoko screeched, punching Ivory once he keeled over from the pain. Ivory reeled from this, his grip on Putri releasing, hissing and grabbing his assailant by the collar of her bright kimono. âTouch me again, you wretch, I dare you-!â He yelled back, raising his free hand with the shining silver talon, ready to strike.
âHiyoko! I told you not to run off! Where-!â Ivory looked up to the sound of the familiar voice, greeted by the sight of Hajime stopping dead in his tracks in the doorway. The pair glared at one another with enough tension to snap a pen in half. âOh, please..â Ivory threw Hiyoko to the side with a thud, leaving both the short dancers in pain and trying to regain their breath. âDamsels canât save other damsels, dear. Why donât you-â
A flash of light. A crash of thunder. In an instant, someone else had shown up beside Hajime. Ivory would feel a sharp burning pain in his right shoulder, and a glance would reveal an entry and exit wound. Heâd been shot.
To Hajimeâs right stood the man forced to run the game, a friend of the first and only killer. With cold, red eyes, Spy was aiming a now smoking pistol at Ivory, this time trained near center mass. âAway from them. Now.â
Ivory hissed even louder when shot in the shoulder. He fell backwards and scrambled away quickly, one hand holding his shoulder while the other helped to pull himself away as quickly as possible. Spyâs threat was clear enough, even if he tried, Ivory would likely not reach Putri or Hiyoko without a massive amount of pain. âAhah.. haâŠâ He chuckled in a clear panic. âYou.. you think.. You think Iâm finished with you all? No.. no, not even close-! Youâre not taking her from me again, not you or anyone!â
Hajime flinched at the gunshot sound, backing away out of instinct, but the scene before him was almost too good to pass up, at least gloating. âYouâve got a big mouth for someone bleeding out.â
âShut up! Quiet! All of you!â Ivory screeched like a madman, clutching his shoulder harder and harder to stop the blood flow. Baring his teeth like any angry animal, he leapt to verbally assault Hajime, but was cut off but rubble filling his view and a loud crashing noise.
From the room right next door, the wall caved in with Aditi and Pixel falling through in the midst of their battle for dominance. The two had their fingers locked together, appendages and metal claws trying to overpower the other, when Aditi looked up and locked eyes with Spy and Hajime in the doorway. âMove!â She called out, before promptly picking Pixel up and slamming her against the wall. The sound of metal crushing and a robotic scream of pain echoed in the room. Ivory looked up in a panic at the scene, before looking towards his only escape route, a balcony. Aditi stood right in front of the doorway, holding Pixel in place and blocking Spyâs clear shot.
With a smirk tossed in their direction, Ivory stood up and ran off towards the opening, shifting over the railing with his legs. Still clutching his shoulder, Ivory smiled back at the group, barely catching Putriâs eyes as she finally raised her head to glare at him. â.. Iâll be back for you, Putrid. Donât fret.â He promised, before sliding off the railing and landing on the balcony below, making a run for it.
Putri sucked in a painful breath, gritting her teeth and feeling the choking mark around her throat. â.. DamnitâŠâ

OwO whatcha got Spy?
Spy doesnât respond, still searching through his pockets. He then reaches into his inner jacket pockets, then lays a few shards of...something on his podium.
"Do you really expect us to know what those are?" Hiyoko asked with a cross of her arms. "Hurry up and tell us what that is!"
"Well, they kinda look like shards of glass. Like the kind you'd find on a phone screen." Spy grabs the shards and puts them back in his pocket. "I don't think any of us have phones right now, though, so I'm guessing someone dropped a tablet."
âSo fucking what, glasses? Any of us couldâve had butter fingers and dropped our tablets! How is this getting us closer to the culprit exactly?â Miu sneered, placing her hands upon her hips.
"...wait." Ivy reached towards her side, but then glanced over, noticing nothing. "...fuck, I forgot I left my hoodie in my lab. Did anyone bring their motive video tablet with them here?"
âNo? I didnât know we were supposed to! The bear wouldâve told us to do so, wouldnât he!?â Putri huffed, crossing her arms in a pout, preparing to defend herself if anyone tried to tell her she was in the wrong.
"I brought mine just in case." Hajime said as he pulled out his tablet, revealing that the screen was perfectly intact. "From here on out I suggest bringing anything related to the motives just in case they get brought up in trial." Hajime advised, speaking to Putri but meaning it towards everyone.
âShut the fuck up, nerd! Nobody asked for you to act like our daddy or some shit!â Miu mocked, glaring back at Spy. She tried to ignore how Aditi was staring through her with glowing eyes, and not even acknowledging it seemed to work best. âWhy did you even bring this up in the first place if itâs so vague!? It couldâve been Maisieâs tablet, it couldâve been mine, anyoneâs! Youâre wasting our time!â
"Maisie's tablet is missing, Miu. The killer took it, remember?" Ryan crossed his arms, a deadpan look on his face. "If those shards came from Maisie's tablet, then we can figure out who took it based off where they were found. Speaking of which, Spy. Where did you find those shards?"
Spy cleared his throat. "Salient's lab, literally right before the trial."
Aditi frowns deeply, looking from Spy to the chemist himself. âDo you have an excuse for this one? Or can we finally assume the worst in you?"
"One moment, Aditi." Ivy steps out of her podium, going over to Hajime and taking his tablet, before going to Spy. "Let me have a look at the shards, Spy." Spy obliges, reaching into his pocket and giving Ivy the shards, after which she goes back to her podium, placing the shards and the tablet on top.
"Huhh? What are you doing bolt brain?" Hiyoko asked, leaning over her podium to see what Ivy was doing. "Are you tampering with the evidence? That's a big no-no yaknow! I'll bop you!"
"Give me a moment." Ivy picked up one of the shards, placing it on the tablet. There's a moment of silence, before she picked up another shard and held it up to her face. "...okay, I can confirm. This did come from one of the motive video tablets."
â.... What...?â Fay asked quietly at first, her eyes looking around the room before lunging forward and grabbing her podium angrily. âItâs from a tablet? Then-! Itâs him! Itâs obviously him! Y-You did it! You killed her!!â She practically screamed, looking towards the direction she knew Salient stood in, her eyes cloudy with tears.
After Fay's outburst, Hajime looked at Salient as well. "Salient, do you have a rebuttal?" He asked gently, as to not put any more pressure on him than there already was. "If theres any evidence that doesn't point to you I'd be happy to hear it."
Salient didn't respond, only glaring at Spy. His eyes held a murderous gaze... and those cursed swirls. Death gripping his podium, he spoke only to Spy, who stared back at him. "....you... fucking... rat!"

Wait. So if we suspect that two people could have worked together to kill Maisie... The lock was melted with some kind of acid... Salient and Angie have an alibi together... And Maisie had Angie's secret...
Guys, I think those two are looking sus.
"...yeah, I have to agree, it looks like Salient is the obvious suspect." Spy leans against his podium, drumming his fingers on it. "The acid makes him seem like the only candidate. But I just don't see...wait, did you say Maisie had Angie's motive?"
âHm? Oh? Is that true??â Angieâs eyebrows raised in surprise, tilting her head to the side. âThatâs why Maisie tried to talk with Angie and console her? Ah! Atua shouldâve seen this coming!â She laughed light and airy.
â... Do you not realize that makes you suspicious?â Aditi asked, glaring down at the artist from afar. âThe motive was secrets? If you did not want yours getting out, then itâs likely youâd want to silence the only one who knew.â
"I told you idiots it couldn't possibly be me!" Hiyoko cheered with a laugh. "Weren't those two also friends before this stupid game? It would totally make sense that they worked together!"
"Just in case, however. Do either of you have an alibi at the exact time of the murder?" Hajime asked, glancing at everyone else quickly before continuing. "If they were seen at the exact time of the murder, it would clear them both of suspicion."
"Wait, exact?" Ivy spoke up, a confused expression on her face. "We don't have an exact point of death. All we know is Maisie died sometime last night after 10 pm. We don't know what exact time frame. Plus, considering how unreasonably cold her room was, she could've died an hour before sunrise for all we know. Alibis won't work. We need motives."
Hajime seemed to get flustered for a moment, scratching his neck muttering a small "right.." under his breath. "Then motive wise, it makes sense. And Salient would be the one most likely to use acid without causing harm to himself, making a good accomplice to Angie." Hajime explained, trying to take charge once more after his mistake. "Angie, what was on your video that made you want Maisie to keep quiet?"
Angie startled at being targeted again, her eyebrows shooting up into her hairline. The artist looked genuinely taken aback by the question. â... How-? Aha-!â She laughed tensely. âWhy do you.. need to know that? How will this prove Angieâs innocence at all...? Are you...?â She paused, staring with her eyes still wide.
But, it changed. A shadow ghosted over her expression, giving her a thousand yard stare. âAre you trying to shame me..?â She asked lowly, very unlike her usual happy tone.
"Shame you-?" Hajime repeated, a look of confusion plastered on his face. "No not at all! It's just evidence in case you-"
âN-No!â Angie shouted back, slamming her small hands on her podium with an nervous smile spreading upon her face. âYou all have not told your secrets, why should Angie tell hers? You donât understand, I canât- Angie canât... just...â Her hands grasped ahold of her pigtails, pulling them in frustration. âThis is- is blasphemy! Unfair!â
"..." Salient looks away from Angie, holding his side. Spy glanced over at him, a sympathetic look on his face, before looking over at Angie, remaining silent.
"Oh, that reminds me." Ivy, on the other hand, does not care all that much. "The video was missing."
âWhat does that prove exactly? Anyone couldâve taken my video. Anyone! Why would anyone pass up the chance for more leverage after theyâve already committed a murder?? Of course they took my video! They shared it with you all too, didnât they...? They...â Angie started to shake, looking up and glaring at Ivy. âBe quiet, you demon.â She hissed.
Miu squeaked from the venom in Angieâs voice, stepping back anxiously. âWh-What the fuck is your problem, cult freak!? Stop acting like a psycho! You only look more suspicious!â
"Angie, none of us saw your video. That's why I asked. It's okay if you don't want to share what it is, but it would greatly help figure out who did this." Hajime attempted to comfort. "We need your help Angie. You're only making everyone think you're our killer but I have faith in you."

What if the knife isn't actually the weapon? What if Maisie simply hit her head and died of blunt-force trauma? And Hiyoko discovered the body, which is why she looked so panicked?
âLiterally all of those are proven wrong.â Wren leaned against their podium, twirling a card in their hand. âThat knife was found embedded in Maisie, the case file stated clear as day that the cause of death was from stab wounds, and Fay literally just admitted to having checked Maisieâs room before breakfast. You could not be more wrong if you tried.â
"Finally someone dumber than all of you!" Hiyoko said with a snort. "You all are super dumb for accusing me just because I happened to go to the kitchen last night-!"
She was interrupted by Hajime, who cleared his throat loudly. "Can we stay on topic? We may have limited time." Hajime informed, looking towards the ground with a sigh before looking back up. "So Fay was the first to see the body this morning. When was the last time anyone saw her? Then we can make a rough estimate of when she was killed."
â.. âM pretty sure I saw âer goinâ back ta âer room âround te time I helped Leigh find theirs.â Finn commented, looking to the doctor. âDid ya see-? Ooh, right, sorry-â He laughed sheepishly, realizing his mistake in asking that question. âIt was prolly too dark fer ya, right? Do ya âmember te time at least? I think it was... âround 10?â
"It's okay- don't worry." Leigh assured, even laughing slightly before they took a moment to think about the time. "Yeah.. it had to be at least 10 when he walked me back to my room."
âI was in my room for the entire night.â Ivy glanced at Vanessa, then Aditi. âI never saw Maisie, but Aditi came into my room at around 9:45. We talked for about...5 minutes, I believe.â
âMeaninâ, ya donât have an alibi at all. Neither does beanpole or yer sis. She left at 9:50, which gave âer anâ yous plenty of time ta go kill âer.â Iyabo sneered, despite the fact she had no alibi of her own.
âYouâre being awfully pushy!â Angie bops her head left to right curiously at the zoologist. âAtua wonders if thereâs more reasons for that, other than the murder attempt, hm?â
âWot te fuck are you implying, cunt!? I canât be te killer âmember? I counted as one âa te peps who saw the body first!â Iyabo fired back.
âIt canât be Ivy.â Spy spoke up, fidgeting with his hands. âI didnât see Leigh or Finn, but I was in the hallway between 9:45 and 10:00. I saw Aditi head back to her room. I did not see Ivy leave.â
â...wait.â Ivy tilted her head, crossing her arms. â...Spy, were you the one that placed that tray of food in my room the other day? And today?â
âOh, uhh...haha, umm...â Spy rubbed the back of his head, looking away. â...yeah. I was worried when I didnât see you at all the past few days. Thereâs no other source of food other than the restaurant, and I assumed you didnât have any in your room stored away, so...I got an extra plate of food during breakfast and...well, yeah.â
"But what about after ten, genius?" Hiyoko asked mockingly. "You could've killed her at ten and the took off! No one saw you after, huh? Huh?" She asked accusingly, looking at him expectantly.
"Hiyoko- please knock it off. We don't have time for baseless accusations." Hajime said with yet another sigh. "We have to take this serious. Spy's account is helpful." He said, sending a small glare towards the smaller girl.
Hiyoko looked away with a pout, crossing her arms with a small "hmpt!"
Aditi rolled her eyes at Hiyokoâs attempt to antagonize. âWe can not work off of alibis alone. Not without consideration of a motive to kill her, and...â She trailed off, clicking her claws together. âThe possibility of an accomplice.â

could someone have broken her ankle first so she wouldn't be able to fight back as easily? i mean, not to point fingers, but hiyoko is definitely short enough..
âOooh! That is an idea!â Angie chided, leaning from side to side. âIt would be really easy to slip into her room and break her ankle in her sleep, no? Hiyoko is probably very stealthy with her talent too!â
âHow te fuck would she do that, though?â Iyabo asked, scratching her cheek. âSheâs pint sized, anâ te most strength she has âs prolly in âer legs. Unless she stomped on âer ankle, than I doubt it...â
âThereâs also the matter of getting the acid needed to get into Maisieâs room. An acid of that strength could only be found in Salientâs lab, and he said he was in there that night.â Ivy glanced over at Salient, who was rubbing his arm. âUnless Hiyoko managed to sneak past him, thereâs no way she wouldâve gotten through the door.â
âWeâre you all dropped on your heads as kids!? Youâre not seeing the whole picture!â Miu snarked, speaking loudly enough to get all eyes on her. âBallon tits wasnât asleep with it happened. She was wearing her normal clothes. Who the fuck do you know that sleeps in high god damn heels?â Dramatically, she brushed her hair off her shoulder, smirking. âNope! That little loli sex doll convinced Maisie to let her inside, she fucking killed her, and then got the acid once that nerd was outta his lab to start fucking with the evidence!â Miu set her hands on her hips, snorting. âHaha! Thank me later, plebs! Iâm a fucking genius!âïżŒ
"You're obviously wrong, good for nothing slut!" Hiyoko said, leaning on her podium to point at Miu. "Didn't you hear what she said or are there a bunch of rodents in your brain? I would have to sneak past Salient! My geta are too loud to sneak past anyone!" To demonstrate, she walked in place; causing small clacks of the wood hitting the floor to be heard. "See? Or did you get distracted thinking about your next quick fuck?!"
âHiyoko has a point, Miu.â Salient rubbed his cheeks, letting out a quiet yawn. Heâs still tired. âI wouldâve heard that, clear as day. And I did not hear anything while I was down in my lab.â
â...also, acid is extremely dangerous to handle. If youâre not careful, youâre spilling that acid.â Spy sighed, adjusting his glasses. âI doubt Hiyoko would want to risk that. Especially since the acid wouldâve eaten through both her clothes and her skin in a matter of minutes.â
âS-Seriously!? Why are you all trying to poke holes in my perfect theory!? Stop ganging up on m-me-!â Miu blanched, sputtering her words in a hurry as all the attention was directed towards her.
âCalm yourself.â Aditi growled in annoyance, causing Miu to squeak and hug herself. âWhile I agree, Hiyoko is likely not our lead, there is still a possible way she could be involved in this case. There is an unanswered question bothering me... one that none of the evidence has proven to answer...â She mused.

Hiyoko look on the bright side. At least Mahiru has no clue where you are so she doesn't have to worry about you dying !! :)
Her face quickly grew dark, glaring at you. "Mahiru has nothing to do with this. Never speak her pretty name in your vile little mouth again or I'll clobber you."

Wait. Hiyoko went to the kitchen, and she has been freaked out over this. She even blamed Fay for the murder. What if she got a hold of the tablet and hid it, to frame Angie?
"Do you really think I'd want to even touch a stripper? Even being near one could be dishonorable to my family. As for Angie- that creepy chick would probably do it even without being framed."
âNow, now! Hiyoko, itâs disrespectful to speak of the dead in such a way! If you want to be welcomed into Atuaâs kingdom, Angie suggests you bite your tongue next time!â The artist chastised lightly, wiggling her finger.
Hiyoko was quick to look away, saying nothing. She wasn't expecting Angie to hear.

Hiyoko? We're not suspecting you or anything wild like that, but... Wren said you ran to the kitchen in a rush last night. What were you doing? Is everything okay?
"I was angry and wanted to get back to my room to be by myself. I went to the kitchen to grab some gummies to snack on! Ask plain Jane if she heard the wrapper or something if you're that suspicious."

Are there bloodstains present anywhere else in the room aside from what we saw when we discovered her body?
Iyabo waltzed around the room, looking over every inch that met her eye. â... âm not seeinâ and blood. Just te normal shit yaâd find in any chickâs room.â She sighed, Gasper pawing at her cheek to cheer her up. âBut.. uh... somethinâsâ missinâ...â
"Missing? What could possibly be missing?" Hiyoko asked with a pout, considering the taller girl an idiot for thinking something could be missing at a time like this.
â...you know, maybe we should look at the video Maisie got. See whose secret she got. Might give us a clue, yâknow.â Ryan scanned the room, looking for the tablet. âShe probably has it hidden somewhere. I know I hid the one I got.â
âThatâs wot âm sayinâ-! Thereâs no video in âere!â Iyabo announced loudly, trying to cut over the voices she heard. âI canât find it anywhere? Sure, she prolly hid it, but-? Weâve checked in all the nooks and crannies, where te fuck else could it be!?âïżŒ
"Maybe the killer hid it in their room to hide it was theirs!" Hiyoko suggested loudly, making sure her voice was heard. "They probably didn't want her to know what their secret was!"
â... Itâs been a fuckinâ weeks though? Maisie prolly already watched it..â Iyabo informed Hiyoko. âThey... prolly wanted ta take it anâ kill âer so no one knew their secret, right? Ta tie up all te loose ends?â
âThat seems like the most likely scenario. Someone wanted to make sure no one else knew the secret Maisie got.â Ivy put a hand to her chin. âThe question is...who knows what secret Maisie got? I know I donât know what it was.â
"I got yours, so mahbe we could ask everyone and do process of elimination?" Hiyoko once again suggested with a tilt of the head. "Though it could get annoying since someone could lie about it! Maybe we should make them show us who they got!"

*Puts on deerstalker cap* Hey guys! Don't we need some alibis? Let's start with who was with who! Hiyoko! You were quick to accuse, and while I'm not saying it's you, What's your alibi? And Miu! I don't suspect you of course but we gotta make sure the others know you're not the culprit! ~đȘ
âAh, Ah, Ah, Nonnie!â Angie cuts in, tutting at you lightly while wiggling her finger. âWe canât possibly discuss our alibis without the time of death, can we? We need to know when she died first, and then cut down the possible suspects! Atua says this is our best opinion!â
"Hey blind bitch number 2! Go faster so I can be proven innocent already!" Hiyoko said defensively towards Leigh, hoping that her pressure would hurry up the process.
"I have to be thorough If you want it to be accurate, orange!" They cheered the nickname, seemingly happily continuing to examine Maisie's corpse. They really were the right person for the job..
Angie giggled, turning to Hiyoko, a sudden shadow ghosting over her face as she leaning forward. âBeing so aggressive only makes you more suspicious, Hiyoko. You should calm down. Thereâs no need to worry. Atua is watching over us.â
âJust let Leigh work.â Ivy sighed, not wanting anything to be stalled. âWeâre on a time limit now. Trialâs probably gonna happen within the next 24 hours, so we need to gather as many clues as we can.â

Hey fellas, try moving the body real quick I think I see something
âNo!! None of you touch her! She-! She-!! Why!?â She screamed aloud, her eyes furrowing with emotions, tears streaming down her face. âI didnât get a chance to... I was going to...â She trailed off, trying to find her words to no avail. Her foggy gaze turned towards Hiyokoâs direction, sadness quickly turning to rage. âShut up! I wouldnât touch her! I wouldnât hurt her! She was my best friend, y-you-! You insensitive bitch-!â She spat with venom, shoving past everyone in a rush, specifically shoving Hiyoko the hardest as she pushed her way out of the crowd, running away as fast as possible before she could react any worse.
âHey-! G-Get back here! Fay!!â Miu screamed after her, anxiously grabbing her skirt and pulling it between her fingers. She groaned aloud, turning back to everyone. âGood job, pint size! Now we lost one of our main sources of info! You just had to run your fuckinâ mouth, didnât you!?â
Hiyoko huffed as she was shoved, blowing a raspberry in Fay's direction as she left before addressing Miu. "How was I supposed to know they were friends? I don't talk to either of them!" She explained with a pout, glancing away. "You see someone next to a corpse with blood on them and tell me you wouldn't assume they did it, slut rag! Go back to the being a boytoy and get off my case!"
âS-Slut!?â Miu squealed at first, before growing immediately angry. âEat a dick, jail bait! Nobody would assume that if they were balling their fucking eyes out, genius-! Learn how to read the room for once, brat!â
"Cut it out, you two. Now.. isn't the time for this." Hajime interrupted before either could get another say, cautiously entering the room. "We have to start the investigation. We don't have all day to bicker or grieve, unfortunately."
Miu scoffs, turning away from the group and towards where Fay had ran off to. âYou can play with a dead body all you want, Iâm gonna go calm down waterworks.â The inventor huffed, before walking off into the distance, abandoning them with Maisieâs corpse.

Hiyoko, how fucking insensitive can you be? She JUST found out her childhood friend was murdered, back off! Would you want someone to accuse you if Mahiru was the one who was killed?!
"I was accused when Mahiru was killed, dumbass! How was I supposed to know they were friends, huh? I don't talk to either of them!"

fay, honey, you might want to sit this one out.. go to your dorm, or spend time with miu.
No matter who tried to repel her from moving forward, Fay persisted. Her hands felt at the air, first hitting the wall. âMay...? M-May, where are you...?â She asked aloud, moving towards the bed and feeling the frame. She was sleeping. Thatâs whatâs happening. Sheâs a heavy sleeper, I know that better than anyone. Theyâre lying. Itâs okay, itâs fine.
âW-Wake up, May... itâs almost noon..â She spoke with a nervous laugh, finally reaching over. Her hand first landed on Maisieâs hair, smiling at the familiar poof. âCâmon... get up!â She laughed again, her hand moving to Maisieâs cheek.
Fay could feel her skin now. How ice cold it was. Her hand flinched back, only for both to shoot out at once and cup Maisieâs face. â.... No.â She said firmly only once. Her voice quivered on every word that left after that.
Fay patted her body harshly, trying to shake her awake, warm her from freezing, help in any way possibly. But then... she felt liquid on her hands, causing her to scream and jump backwards.
Eyes shrunken in fear, her foggy eyes stared down at her hands. She reached up, and smeared the blood on her own cheek, finally confirming what the substance was. Her shoulders shook, as she turned around to face everyone once again.
â.............â Her eyes flooded, only able to croak one word. â... W-Why....?âïżŒ
Ivy felt her (metaphorical) heart sink as she saw Fay break down. A solemn expression was visible on her face as she put a hand to her chest.
Hajime's eyes went wide with sadness. In her situation, he knew he would've done the same in his previous game. He clenched his fists, an attempt to stay strong. Yet he couldn't bring himself to say anything. They'd find out why. If not for their own safety, but for Fay.
In the middle of it all, Hiyoko stumbled in. Blissfully oblivious to what everyone was staring at. But by their expressions, she could guess. "Someone died already?!" She exclaimed after she got a peek at the target of everyone's sadness, quickly going from surprised to pissed off. "You did it didn't you, blind bimbo?!" She accused, pointing at Fay. "You even have blood on you! You suck at committing crimes, you know!"

Finn trudged along with Hiyoko on his back for awhile, not minding in the slightest. The small dancer hardly weighed anything on his shoulders, and this was sort of a comfort for him. It reminded him of home, of when his baby sisters would ask to be carried around the shore on his shoulders. âSee anythinâ yet, Hiyoko?â He asked curiously, now that they had made their way to the other side of the island.
For a moment she remained silent, squinting as she continued looking. In all honesty, at first she didn't care to remember a thing about this dude. Now that he was a potential threat, she felt she could point him out in a crowd anywhere. Suddenly, she perked up. "There!" She shouted, pointing at Ryan. "Get 'em! Don't even let him have the chance to fight back!"
Ryan, meanwhile, had been sitting out on the shore alone, writing in a notebook. He wasnât expecting anyone to be out here, let alone anyone looking for him specifically. As such, he wasnât paying attention, and didnât notice Hiyoko or Finn.
Hiyoko quickly made her way off Finn's shoulder, quickly marching to Ryan with a snarl. She seemed a lot like a wild animal about to pounce on its prey as she approached him, except her prey was almost literally twice her size. "Hey shitbrain! Don't try to act all cool and mysterious out here by yourself." She huffed, crossing her arms. "I know what you did. You're not getting off the hook that easily!"
âUh...â Finn tried to reach out to Hiyoko and stop her from being brash, but to no avail. He walked up to join the pair, smiling sheepishly. ââYoko, thatâs not how ya start off a conversation, yâknow? âEre lemme try.â He suggested, looking back to Ryan. âSorry âbout âer. Sheâs just a lilâ bent outta shape, since she watched yer secret video.â He admitted freely, try to drop that bombshell before Hiyoko had the chance to do it less gracefully.
Ryan simply sighed, flipping the notebook closed and placing it down on the ground. â...did she now? Talk about bad luck.â Twirling the pencil around his fingers, he looked up at Finn, ignoring Hiyoko for the time being. âI get the feeling I know what the bear has on me. Itâs probably about my last assignment. The one I screwed up.â
Pouting, Hiyoko stomped her foot at being ignored. "You killed your boss and partner for no reason!" She said, leaving out quite a big detail. Either she was purposely leaving it out, or just didn't seem to care about that detail. "So to save the sane people from you, we're gonna tie you up and leave you in a ditch somewhere until we find a way to leave!" She said with certainty, a devious smile making its way to her face.
Finn sighed at the smaller girlâs interjection, head turning to the side. He didnât want to do this, certainly not. But, of course, the needs of the many outweighed the needs of the few. Even so... he couldnât do this without asking one question. â... Why? Why did ya do it? Thereâs gotta be a reason behind it, right? Ya canât just... be a murderer..?â He asked, voice softer than usual.
âI had to. They told me to do it.â Ryan turned his gaze towards the ocean. â...our exfil was ambushed. We were tasked with getting crucial intel on a mercenary group that took out a supply ship, to find out what their next target was. Everything went smoothly. The mercenaries were planning on going after an oil tanker, to use it as a Trojan horse. Wanted to blow up a major port in the U.S. We managed to get the information to HQ, but the ambush had us pinned out in the field. Nearly fought our way out, but one of the mercenaries managed to incapacitate both my superior and my partner. I managed to kill him, but I could hear more on the way. Both didnât want to be captured, and there was no time to patch them both up in time. So...they told me to shoot them, before the others got there. So I did. Then...I just ran. Managed to get away without a scratch, somehow.â
â... Oooh... that uh... shit-â Finn huffed out his breath. He suddenly felt guilty for even agreeing to Hiyokoâs plot without having all of the details. ââM sorry man... that sounds awful. Hiyoko didnât know that part âm sure of it..â He reassured Ryan, looking to the dancer for her confirmation on his theory. He instantly believed the best in others, and Hiyoko wasnât an exception.
She pouted once more, her first instinct to not believe his little sob story. It just seemed too convenient to her that he got out without a scratch. He could've saved at least one of them. "Yeah right! If you were able to get away so easy you could've taken one of them at least! I bet you're a dirty little liar too! You shot them to hide details about your fuck up and got out of there, didn't you? You're scum of the Earth! You don't even deserve to be the gunk on the bottom of my shoe!"
âMore men were already on the way. I could hear their footsteps. If I tried to help them, then we would all have either been dead or captured. They were willing to sacrifice themselves just so I could get away. Theyâre better men than I am, I know that.â Ryanâs gaze fell to the ground, the halo floating above his head starting to lose structure. âI just...I wish there was more time. I couldâve saved them. I just needed more time.â A sigh. âAnd...honestly? I probably shouldâve died there. I donât know how I escaped. I was constantly getting shot at. Bullets kept flying past me. How none of them hit...well, I think it was a miracle.â
Finn couldnât really bring himself to keep questioning Ryan after that revelation. He couldnât imagine being stuck in a spot like that. Even after being stuck in the cult, betraying his friend, and knowing someone here knew another secret of his, he couldnât kick someone while they were down. â... Câmon, Yoko. Heâs torn up âbout it. I donât think heâll be a threat at all.â He reasoned with the dancer.
With a small huff, Hiyoko glared up at Finn and then back towards Ryan. Clearly she had lost. Finn wouldn't help her restrain this guy as long as he pitied him. Yet she wouldn't fall for his sob story. She'd have to keep a close eye on him. "I'll be watching you. Don't think you got away that easily." She threatened before turning around and quickly walking away.
